✓ Do not purchase yetSeems be a series if problems with last update. It crashes continuously now. It could be that those of us with old operating system cannot use the App anymore unless we upgrade and I cannot upgrade my iPhone easily since I am visiting Australia. Have to wait until I return to Texas. ✓ Great app but definitely needs an updateI use this app almost daily and have for years. When it's working it's great. I'm using a 6s and it doesn't seem to be updated to function like it should. ✓ Should have read reviews2nd re-write: The developer responded the same day as my review, and provided instructions to disable automatic user location (set Auto-Retrieve to off). Having downloaded the app again and making the location changes, I am still nagged with a pop-up error, "No Location. Access to location denied! Check Settings." Another issue is that wave height info is missing from most buoys I've checked along the eastern shore. NOAA comparisons show the data (just not provided from within the app). Excellent marine weather info otherwise..Version: 7.8
✓ Has potential but needs workDoes a good job of summarizing buoy data from buoys near you. The link to "Show Original Article" takes you to the official NOAA buoy web site which DOES have a map of the buoys on it. Unfortunately, there's no back button anywhere - not on the station data screen nor on the linked web page screen. So you can't get from the station data back to the list of buoys nor properly browse the actual NOAA buoy web site, nor return to the data summary screen from the NOAA site, without using the "Reload" button. That's the same a starting the app again. They should add a back button. Or, at least, have an option to open the "Original Article" in the built-in web browser instead of in this crippled environment. You may find it easier to simply use Safari to access the NOAA site and add links to the buoys you use most..Version: 0

✓ Buoys IncompleteThe app is fine, except that it does not appear to make use of a current list of NOAA buoys. The NOAA buoy in the James River off Jamestown Island, for example, has been there for several years now, yet it is not listed in this app, and hence, no data is available. This would be a 4 star app if it had a complete list of buoys. And in any case, the authors owe it to us to provide a list and a sense of how complete it is so that users could decide if it met their needs BEFORE buying it..Version: 0
✓ NOAA Buoy Data readerThis app has locked up and died twice today and I just bought it. There other NOAA Buoy apps that have more useful data at your finger tips I would recommend. This app just links you to the NOAA website and really does not display anything I could not find with safari. Some other buoy apps actually show the buoy date they are collecting and graph that data in the app itself, not just link you to NOAA's website. I can do that myself with a favorites selection.Version: 0
