✓ Files don’t openI can see my files and file sizes but they will not open. Very unimpressed..Version: 12.2
✓ A clever idea in a limiting interface.This program is pretty clever, in that you can move docs to and from your Google Docs account. However, here are some pretty hefty flaws in the interface design that makes this program have a lot of potential, but not much use at the moment: -The inability to move documents between folders. Where you create it, thats where it will stay. -The inability to choose which folder to put docs downloaded from GDocs. Makes it very hard to keep all those files organised... -In spreadsheets, you can only view text as large as the default cell size. The cell does not automatically resize to fit text, nor can you do so manually. -There are no font/format/copy/paste/send to email options in the document view. Only a cursor and some white space. Some of these functions are available in the spreadsheet view. -The inability to view comments on cells in spreadsheets. -The need to retype your password every time when attempting to sync. So, in general, this program is quite clever, but some compromises need to be made so as not to become completely frustrated ten minutes after buying it. With the above issues repaired, Documents will become an indispensible tool to any iPhone user in need of document editing and viewing..Version: 0

✓ Shame :(With so much promise in the advertising, it isn't really what i hoped for. Being completely reliant on googledocs, therefore a 10mb limit to any file, just makes it complicated. Additionally,the limited support for doc,docx etc is that you can open them with appalling formatting, so really all you can do is carry them on the i-touch :( In fact, docx can't even be copied to the device - so no support there whatsoever. I am very dissappointed with this product, and the fact i paid for it at all. Sorry people :( Readdle may cost an extra few dollars but it is a truly great solution by comparison..Version: 0
✓ It's okIt's easy enough to create a doc and then email it to your self so you can open it and finish it properly on your PC or Mac. So it's good for starting things when you only have your tablet. But, it is a pain for PDFs. There are some things that only have the option of opening in Docs not in iBooks - and when I want the docs on the iPad to carry i load into docs. But it won't let you email a pdf, so you can't transfer it elsewhere. Major disadvantage for me.Version: 7.9
✓ Very limitedI can’t understand the reviews on here that say it’s great, I found it to be very basic, I wanted to produce documents where I can insert pics or photos there’s no option, I just find it too basic and so wish I could get a refund.Version: 12.2

✓ AttentionIf you are editing a file, you have to go to ‘File’ at top left corner and hit ‘Save’ to save. And when you do, it closes the file and returns you back to the document menu. If you screenshot you phone before saving, you’ll lose all your editing. App needs a separate ‘Done’ button to save and also needs to retain your editing upon screenshots as long as the app itself is not closed.Version: 12.2
✓ No meta data on photosImages saves with this app from laptop via iTunes to get the image in iPhone, then save image to get it into iPhone camera roll, loses the location GPS meta-data which is really annoying! How do I stop this happening?.Version: 12.2

✓ Auto SAVE please!Great App Would be brilliant and would get 5 stars if it had autosave Even switchable in settings would be nice if its not as default If you accidentally leave and its set up as in log in password mode, all work is lost! ✓ Not what it says on the tinI paid £4.99 on the basis that it can handle Open Document Format. It doesn’t. I just get a blank white screen when opening either Write or Calc docs. It also intermittently says that my iCloud session is not logged in despite the clear evidence of other functioning apps that this is not the case. In order to fix this I have to delete and then reinstall your app. (or I copy the doc from ICloud via Files app to my local phone storage) I think I’ve wasted my money. No stars for this app..Version: 15

✓ Not worth upgrading from free versionHave been using the free version for a while and like it, it’s good. Upgraded to get rid of ads, but paid-for version is a seperate app, and now doesn’t allow storage on iCloud. Plus, all files from free version have to be migrated manually. Zero customer support. Not worth upgrading - just live with the ads..Version: 15

✓ Nice AppThere are a number of smallish bugs that would be nice to have tidied up, been there forever. Being able to sort files by date or alpha would be a nice feature to have. Larger scrolling mine for moving files would be MUCH easier, it appears to have been made for phones and too compact for iPads. If you tell me this is all going to be looked after, I’d gladly pay you. Even with these few issues outstanding it remains the best way to manage your data in the iOS environment. Being able to assign apps to run files by their extensions would be nice. Not sure where you’re coming up with the current choices, but they’re mostly wrong and don’t function well. —- Looks like they’re out of business. No support..Version: 14.1

✓ Problem with Selecting the Font in “Documents”“I have really liked Documents, but grew weary of dealing with all the ads that kept popping up on my original Version of Documents. My computer-savvy friend recently upgraded my iPad and iPhone to the ‘Documents’ version with No Ads. It’s much easier to use, with ONE exception. When I’m in the specific Document I’m trying to make changes in, I run into a new problem when I try to change the Font. Normally, a little box displaying the Font Selection appears in the lower left corner of the Document, and you just select your choice of Fonts. But now, I end up losing the Document page I was on, replaced by a blank page with the Font choices taking up the entire Screen. Consequently, there’s no way to go back to your original Document page, as you can’t exit out of this blank page with the Font Selections. It’s otherwise been a great Version, but this “glitch” or “bug” has really caused continuous problems for me, I’m sorry to say”..Version: 14.1

I have used this app for years and I have several hundred documents. Anytime I open an old document make any changes and saveAll of the red text And all of the blue text turns black. ✓ Needs improvementThere was a version of documents that came on my iPad that seemed like it had a lot of potential. As I was getting used to some of its functions and features. Then I noticed that there were certain things that could only be done on the “upgraded version” of the app. So I went ahead and purchased the “upgraded version”. Now I have two documents apps. One is the regular version and the other is documents plus. I then noticed that none of the documents carried over. So I then had to copy all of my files over manually. Now I do not know which is which when the menu comes up to add attachments to....lets say....emails, because all that comes up on the display is “documents” so I do not know if the older version is safe to erase. There is also the question of why there’s a small phone icon on the bottom of the documents page that i can’t click on and a cloud icon on my iPhone that i can’t click on? There’s a bunch of things that aren’t explained and when I go to the “more help” tab in the app, it directs me to a page that is no longer there. I then write the makers and I got a reply of “we will look into that” months ago so I’ve given up hope. I kind of regret purchasing this app now. Hopefully it does improve. It is positioned to be great since it does come preinstalled on Apple products already. Let’s see! But for now, I’m pretty frustrated..Version: 12.2
✓ Get it while it's freeAt last - an app worth waiting for.. The first simple document and text editor for iPhone/itouch which can do txt files and spreadsheets as csv files. Advantages 1 txt and Csv files support 2 file organisation system 3 integration / sync with googledocs 4 simple and easy to use 5 can copy and paste - though strangely only spreadsheet cells Disadvantages 1 buggy with frequent crashes 2 can't copy/paste text on documents 3 document editor is text editor only with no formatting capability 4 does not save google login information 5 unable to move files from folder to folder 6 unclear how to sync to computer (unless only via googledocs as a cloud computing concept) Fantastic price point and concept but still early and needs development I look forward to the updates!.Version: 0
✓ Google docs editorYou really want to use this app only with your google Documents spreedsheets & word files. If you have any documents you want to backup, I'd suggest you upload them to a google documents account and then use this app to sync to them. The spreadsheet is fidgity and really needs a copy and paste function..Version: 0
✓ The free app is a great productHaving used the free version of Documents for some years I have been delighted with it. Today I finally got around to purchasing the paid for version only to find that I have lost all of my documents from the free version. To be fair the help menus describe 5 different ways of transferring these files across, all of which are either too complex or just a hassle. It is such a shame that this has not been automated by the developer. I have deleted the paid for app and continuing with the free version so I will have to put up with the adverts.Version: 15
✓ Waste of moneyThe app does not work. I cannot download documents into it. I’ve tried EPub and PDF. Nothing opens. I’ve tried the shared folder with sharing on but still it has errors. I’m very concerned because I’ve just paid out $7.99 and when I go to the support button it takes me to an insecure site with ‘page not found’. ✓ OK for the priceDoes what it says. Sync to google is basic upload or download. No bidirectional sync, therefore you have to remember which version of the document (online or iphone) you last made changes to, otherwise you will lose those changes if you sync the other version.
