✓ Almost a great game but with a couple of irritations.I love the concept of this game and for the most part it is well done and quite enjoyable. I do find it a bit annoying how small all the writing/items are on the iphone, I often have trouble using the medicines in the tank because it seems my finger is seldom high enough on the screen unless I remove the iphones case specifically. However the main problem with the game in my experience (I have not had any saved game problems) is that fish get sick far too easily and take forever to get better. I had just started getting all the upgrades for my tank and bred me second magic fish when I just hit a point where fish would be constantly getting sick. As soon as one got better another would come down with something and I eventually ran out of money with all the medicines I had to buy. I stopped playing the game for ages because of this and have only recently started again but am still finding the sickness very annoying. I have given one fish treatment three times and it is still not better. There is only so much time I can spend coming back every half hour before I'm thoroughly sick of it..Version: 1.1.0

✓ Try the Free version first :(Coming back to find a tank full of dead baby fish is depressing and disturbing and not fun! It's all very well to say they die because we are trying to breed outside our level but how are we meant to know beforehand? All I have had are the starter fish and the fish I have bred from those. And early in the game you don't have the money or time to have researched just in case. This isn't about realism, if I started breeding fish in real life I would research and *know* what I'm doing. In this game the only way I've known which fish are out of level is because they died. I set it on easy so goodness knows how bad it would be on hard. I also check the fish regularly feed them and turn time off at night. Personally I'm not having fun just a nagging worrying feeling I need to check on them. Other issues: On an iPod the fish are very small and there is no zoom function. If you buy a second type of medicine you lose the first. The fact the dead fish lie in the tank waiting for you to come back and then drag them to the trash. Because this was half price I didn't play the free version as long as I should. Lots of people clearly love this game but I am just going to delete it. I would urge you to play the free version for at least a few days. ✓ Nostalgic, but flawedI bought this game because I always wanted it when it first came out way back on PC when I was a kid. While I am having fun with it an the gameplay is fine, the graphics are in dire need of an update. The resolution is far too small and some of the sprites really have no place in a paid for game. The resolution is my primary concern, it makes reading text very difficult and some graphics are unclear in their meaning. This game was last updated in 2011 so I am not very optimistic about fixes being released, but I certainly hope for it. 3/5 feels generous, but 2/5 is too harsh. ✓ Fun game, pretty addictiveFun little game, with heaps of different fish to discover (I've ended up with pages of genetical charts...). Had me addicted for ages. I did need to get my old iPod out again though, as it just stops music playing (that's my reason for 3 as opposed to 5 stars - sorry guys but without music I don't play games, and I don't always have a second iPod with me). Not again!!!I've been playing this intensily since January and have made over a hundred thousand quid, found 6 magic fish, and found 244 different species of fish and today it crashed and reset itself AGAIN! ✓ GoodThe game is brilliant but I have a few suggestions to help make the game better. 1. Try not to make it so obvious that this is a port. 2. Preferably make menus specifically for touch screen and make them more finger/thumb friendly. An example would be for the inventory, there could be a drop down menu instead of four small buttons as the people will cases won't really appreciate the small buttons in the corners. 3. This is for the RTS players but if it is possible to have an optional feature that gives a numerical rating of what the item in supplies does. An example is that the oxygen pump and temperature guage thing both claim to help fish survive. But we do not know how well it works so cannot accurately justify buying them over environment upgrades. Oxygen Tank: Environment +1 Research Environment Level 2: Environment +3 Something similar to what I have written above would be awesome. ✓ Incredibly boringThis game is a huge disappointment compared to this developer's Virtual Families game. Unless you really, really love fish, I wouldn't bother buying this game. Supplies (medicine, tank filter, etc.) are extremely expensive to buy, yet the average selling price of a fish is $4. Rare fish sell for a higher price, but are very difficult to come by. This is also an incredibly boring game - there's nothing to do but watch the fish swim aimlessly around the aquarium. And if you don't constantly play the game (which I didn't, because it was so boring), you'll come back to find most of your fish (baby & adult alike) have died, and then you have to start all over again. If you want a good game from Last Day of Work, I recommend their Virtual Families game instead..Version: 1.1.0

✓ SeriouslyI used to play this on pc and I was so excited to see it on mobile. Come to find out its just a shrunken version of the pc version. This is not optimized for mobile screens, the fish are hard to see, you can't zoom in to see if they're sick so they die. User interface is built for large pc screens. If you have adult size fingers its going to take 1-3 tries just to feed your fish. I will just stick to the pc version at least I can see that. Fix the UI for crying out loud instead of just changing exe to ipa and calling it cell friendly..Version: 1.1.0
✓ Be warned this app is FAULTY!!!This is the sort of game where you spend a lot of time and get quite attached to it. So when ALL of your fish disappear for NO reason, it's pretty heartbreaking. All my money and purchases remain. But the fish I've worked so hard to breed just all disappeared. Not dead, but disappeared without a trace. All the magic fish, gone! Read other reviews this is a common problem and must be fixed! Until then I would urge potential buyers to stay away from this seriously flawed app..Version: 0
