ASICS Runkeeper—Run Tracker for Positive User Reviews

Run BlockerEvery run I get going, fire up the RK app, then boom! Some ad blocking my run. I’m running trying to start my tracking…. It blocks the one thing I want to do. Would be great if these came up after my run when I have time to review, read, and take it in. They have sneaky ninja close buttons too. I can’t see it in the sun. I end up restarting the app to close it. So does my partner who believes they don’t have close buttons. How do I turn these in-app prompts off? 😠 Or make the option to dismiss super big. Otherwise the app is super good..Version: 14.4

Long time user - Still a fanI’ve been using Runkeeper for 10 years now and have a GO subscription. I love the variety of ways that you can use the app to suit however you’d like to track your workouts. Being able to choose between just pressing start and logging anything, or selecting a guided workout or even a training plan is great and has helped me stay committed. The functionality of the app has expanded a lot this past decade and I think the current version is the best yet. If you just want to track your runs or walks, the free version is great. If you want to delve deeper into stats, see your progress over time and/or have guided training plans, the subscription is worthwhile. I’ve used the guided workouts and the training plans and found them to be a big help in making progress with my running ability..Version: 14.8

Good StartGreat for beginner and I would expect as you move to the paid version, all GPS etc will be more accurate.Version: 13.5

Great app - easy to useRunkeeper is great - it can automatically track if you start running and forget to start, as well as combine all the activities you do in a week and show the calories you’ve burnt etc.. The only thing is is that if you want to add a route, you must log into Runkeeper on the web app, then create the route. Could this be fixed? Overall, really good app..Version: 13.7.1

New member of Runkeeper goAfter trying strava and MapMyRun I had settled for using MapMyRun however after reading an article online which recommended RUNKEEPER as a great free running app I decided to try it. After using it for only two week I had already decided I preferred this app to MapMyRun so decided to upgrade to Go membership. I am using in for both the 5k training schedule on rest days and also a full half marathon training plan for my actual runs. Thanks so much for creating such a great app!!!.Version: 9.2

Lost dataI have used runkeeper for several years and recommended to others. I have been very satisfied but now I have a major problem. On Monday 4/8/19 after walking I reviewed my progress and found that all my accumulated data had been lost for 2018 and up to the 8th for 2019. I attempted to reboot my iPhone but no solution. Assumed after my walk today runkeeper would at least update the two weekly walks. Nothing! I have searched all avenues of the app but cannot find a means to seek help from runkeeper hopefully this review will reach their techs or someone who has faced this issue. I’m not complaining rather I am just seeking assistance in a solution to my problem. Today, 8/3/21 experienced loss of data daily, weekly, monthly and yearly. Same as lost data review above. Sent three emails to support address but no response. There is no phone # to call so no response equals no solutions. This is a terrible customer service protocol for a longtime user who has recommended RK to numerous individuals..Version: 11.9

Motivating MeI signed up early this year to motivate myself to do more. I’m a 67 year old female who is not very tech savvy so I don’t use the app to its maximum but is has certainly done the job of keeping me going! I appreciate the reminders and prompts and like to reflect on my cumulating stats and push more each day that I can manage. Highly motivated now at 930 kms to aim for 2,000 by year end..Version: 13.4.1

Great app, but opportunities for improvementI really like my fit bit Charge 2 and all of the aspects of my health that I can track with the app. Sometimes the app is way off on distance. On November 3 I ran 4.7 miles but it recorded 6.1 miles. On December 1, my daughter ran 3 miles and it recorded 4.7 miles. When you look at the map, you can see that the GPS is going all over the place. Runkeeper has a correct GPS feature, but the algorithm makes it just as far off in the other direction. One time it overstated my run by a mile and after I used the correct GPS it understated my run by a mile. I think there are opportunities to enhance the app to provide suggestions for improving your health. It would be great if the app would track your health patterns and give you reminders for small, incremental, and achievable changes that would have the greatest impact on a person's health. It would also be great if they could give you an overall health score, a compilation of all of the different measures. If someone isn't tracking something, like water consumption, that weight of the overall health score would get a zero. It would be even greater if the overall health score were validated relative to health outcomes such as costs absences personal perception of health, etc. Then you would be able to show a user how an incremental change in one of the items could impact overall health..Version: 9.4.1

This app changed my lifeI was already fit and strong. Or so I thought. I cycled, did weights, functional training, etc. Why couldn’t I run around the block? I was hurting myself and getting nowhere. Three things put me on the path to success: 1. Seeing a physio 2. Getting proper running shoes 3. This app, recommend by my trainers Although I had started using the free version to track my (failed) runs, it was the personally coached 0-5km program that built my strength up. Coach Erin was there with me (or so it seemed) getting me from walk/run/walk up to running 5k without pain or issue. I was a little caught out having to pay up during the program, but honestly, I love the coached runs now. They are brilliant and very motivating. They helped build speed, stamina and mental toughness, and I’m proud to say I’m a solid runner now. This has holistically improved my strength and fitness. Learning to also run slowly for recovery and other aspects have helped a great deal. Also great to be able to go back and assess and compare runs. And my dog is very grateful, too!.Version: 14.6.2

Fitness iconGreat app for fitness!.Version: 14.12

First time userThis is the first time I’m using this app.. it is great! I love it ... it pushes you... ensure you change your setting to km/h instead of miles if your are not used to the American lingo. Keep running and make an effort... if the interval finishes and you can keep running for a little longer just do it! Nothing will stop u. Here we go my first 3km today after a while and I feel great..Version: 10.5.1

Perfect for dog walkersI've used run keeper for dog walking now for years - it is really useful to judge whether you're doing roughly the right distances - and therefore getting your dog properly exercised - nice easy to use app - perfect for my needs! I run maybe 5x per week - I use the app for regular tracking of my running and cycling also, one size fits all exercise app - it works pretty well - linking you with friends and if you want to brag there are connections to Facebook and Twitter) but I've opted not to use those links..Version: 9.1

Awesome Tracker!!Absolutely the best app to keep track of all your runs, walks or workouts..Version: 11.6.1

5k run missing audio queueMany times this has happened to me that my training workout doesn’t play the audio queue causing me to repeat previous activities repeatedly today i ran without the audio it doesn’t seems pro to me hope someone can fix those bugs.Version: 9.5

Love it!I use this app for running only and love it. It’s easy to use, has good training plans and I like the fact that my friend and I can see what each other is doing. It helps with the motivation. An improvement I’d like to see is the sport types available on set your own goal under workout frequency to include all of those available on the manual entry list. That way you can track all the different types of exercise in your training plan. Great app and would definitely recommend..Version: 8.6.1

Love it!!Can't help but tell everyone about it:) It has helped me get back to running after a near 15yr break & have gone from Zero to 18km in less than 3mths, over 140km per week, all thanks to RK! Have now advanced to 'Elite':-)😃👍🏃 Update-now over 8yrs later still enjoying RK having clocked up in excess of 8000 km😅👌.Version: 9.5.1

Love itFantastic app. Have used it for years now and it has been brilliant..Version: 9.2

Accurate and easy to useI’ve been using Runkeeper all year to track my runs and activity in general. It’s very reliable and compares running paces and distances. I like to know how I’m doing as I run to keep on track so I’ve got it set to let me know what my time and average pace is after each km. You can have music and the auto voice will just let you know how you’re going as selected over your music. Great way to compare similar distances to monitor progress and you can look back on previous runs too. It’s great to look back, especially if you’ve taken photos. Highly recommend and I don’t have the extra subscription either, just the free app..Version: 9.13.4

AwesomeSimply the best running app there is..Version: 8.3.1

More coach Erin, please 💛💛💛Erin’s 5k coaching turned me into a lover of running. I have always hated running with a particular kind of psychological stuckness. I’ve done multiple sprint triathlons— and WALKED the running part. Just. Couldn’t. Deal. Until Erin’s encouraging, contagious positivity snapped me out of my usual way of thinking about running! I look forward to my runs every other day and feel sad about rest days. Who am I?? Thank you Erin, thank you Runkeeper. Please please please add longer distance running programs with Erin. I just signed up for a half marathon in May. I’m nervous to do it without her. The best part of this app to me, is the freedom I get from my own head when I run. I just listen to what Erin tells me to think, feel, do, and believe about myself— then I do those things. There’s no space for my own self doubt or internal resistance. She is an incredible coach and brings so much value to this app. Thank you!.Version: 10.2

Perfect for the average runnerI live in metro Melbourne and at the start of every run the app tells me it cant get an accurate location, so I wouldn’t trust it for speed or distance if you’re a seriously training athlete but it’s perfect for someone like me who just wants to get a rough idea of distance I’ve gone. I mostly use it for giving me 5min interval notifications while out for a run so that I can make sure I run for the amount of time I want to without having to check the time constantly, as I’m not too worried about achieving a distance or speed. I don’t use the other coaching features and I don’t enjoy the ‘run reminders’ setting either where it hassles you to go for a run if you haven’t been for a while, but others may find that helpful. It’s good that there are lots of options. I also like that you can rate your run and take notes at the end to help with tracking training or an injury etc. Overall it’s very good, best running app I have found for my needs, which are pretty basic..Version: 10.6.1

IOS 15.2 bug means Runkeeper only tracks GPS when iPhone unlockedLove the app but since iOS 15.2, my GPS route is only updated when I unlock my iPhone. For example I walk 1 mile and I unlock iphone , it shows a straight line from start of route as is approx .75 miles. A few miles later i unlock again and straight line to this point etc so like 2.0 miles now. so it isn’t following GPS tracking in between. Seems like a bug to me. Could be Apple or Runkeeper Plz fix as it is unusable now..Version: 12.3

Great but could still use workIn general I really enjoy this app, especially the way it integrates with other apps. I particularly enjoy being able to create my own interval run (I don’t know if this feature is only available with the paid upgrade). Cons however are a few glitches including the notification feature- I can no longer see new notifications within the app when someone likes or comments on a workout unless I go INTO the actual workout itself, and occasionally it will opt to shuffle ALL of my music instead of playing only the playlist I selected within the app. And every once in awhile the app will crash repeatedly when trying to save a workout, fortunately I’ve never lost data- just irritating to have to go out and back in a few times to get it to finally save. If they can smooth out those bugs then I’d be a super happy customer!.Version: 8.6.1

Love itNew review from my previous. I have used this app for years and back end of last year I started using the subscription side to try it I have achieved a 3peaks challenge, a 10k and a half marathon this year using the training schedules so I think this is a great feature. However I have a Fitbit which is meant to be compatible but I just can’t get to work together PLEASE MAKE THIS A SIMPLE FEATURE!!! Plus the subscription may be high and is why it took me so long to decide to subscribe. Share features are great friends can see runs etc but the live feature has never worked!! As a runner think the app is great as a gadget guy think it needs simplifying and more comparability with gadgets..Version: 8.3.2

SolidGood functions. Reliable . Very user friendly. Free. Just wish you could zoom into the map ..Version: 14.9

All Fitness RecordedReally enjoy using this app to keep record of where I’m going in the distance I’m doing in the odd photo.Version: 10.8

RunkeeperThis is my favourite exercise app. I am using the free version which is excellent. I look forward to walking everyday. I go on my walk with a small blue tooth speaker. Walking is great for keeping my mojo going & preparing me for my day. The app's male voice cues are designed to be very encouraging - fantastic - get Runkeeper - you won't regret it!!! Best wishes to all the Runkeeper Team - you have an inspiring product - Tim Hardy-Atkins, Collaborative Musician at The Miracles Project : )).Version: 9.5.4

Good appSo far it’s a great app that helps me to track and control my workouts.Version: 11.3

Excellent...except for tech glitchesThis is a great running coach app... after years out of running I found it soooo much harder to restart than I ever remembered! Coach Erin is great and I’d love to keep going but the frustration of having complete silence (just a timer starts when I go for a run) has bugged me to the point of trying to find a different, more reliable app. The feedback I got after I raised the issue a second time was “it’s a known glitch”...errrr, so what are you doing to fix it? Hoping to find something on a par coach wise that’s more reliable technically..Version: 11.2.1

Still loving it!After four years of using it I still love it, but would love to see Stairs added as one of the exercises, I'm training for a stair event in June and would love to use that as I'll be continuing stair training after the event. Would like to see the option to be able to select the exact distance you want to do when setting up your custom runs. When completing training programs where we manually set up our programs we can’t select 1.6klm etc we have to go lower or higher. Being able to have increments of 0.1 would be great..Version: 9.13.1

BasicThe basic package has all I need and works well. I’d like to see Runkeeper promote through the app, how to make the most of your app. I’d also like it to offer the full version for free for a couple months to tempt me. I love that there is very little advertising, I always delete apps with lots of ads..Version: 10.5.1

Great app love the maps!Love being able to see on the map where I’ve been especially when away from home!.Version: 9.2

Teaching me how to become a ‘real’ runnerAfter finishing C25K, I didn’t know where to turn next for another training plan. I wasn’t ready for 10K and wanted to get better at running 5K first. This app has a variety of training plans that allow me to keep honing my skills and grow as a runner. It also directs me to resources for further education as I continue my development. The app runs beautifully on the iPhone and on the Apple Watch, giving me cues when I need it and telling me about my run as I run. Give it a try, you won’t regret it!.Version: 8.6

I am finally a runner!!I have HATED running my entire life. My mom and sister are the marathon running people that I thought were crazy. We run a 5K every year on Thanksgiving and I have always hated it. This year after the run I decided that I was going to try to start running. My sister suggested this app to me and after the first 3 trial workouts I fell in love with it (not the running, but the app). I trained for and ran my first 5K and was amazed when I could actually run the 5K without taking a single walking break (considering the fact that I couldn’t successfully jog a single mile before). Only 3 months after getting this app I jogged an entire 5 miles without stopping. Thank you Runkeeper!! Update 1: Thanks to Runkeeper, I finished my first half marathon! Update: I decided that I wanted to start doing more strength training went to cancel my Runkeeper just to find out I was too late and my yearly subscription had already gone through. I emailed customer service and they were so happy to help me! Not only is Runkeeper an amazing app, their customer service is exceptional!.Version: 12.3

Just what I needI have been using Runkeeper for quite a number of years. It tracks my runs extremely well whether I am running around the streets or across land in the countryside. I can compare my run times over weeks and months which helps me to prepare for my half marathons. I can also walk or run with my wife and share the recorded route and times with her. Additionally, Runkeeper helps me set goals and I use it for cycling too..Version: 11.6.2

Awesome AppWith a subscription, this app trackers everything I need. I chose it because I wanted to track my runs with my Apple Watch and leave my iPhone 7 Plus at home. I also wanted an app with audio cues through my AirPods of statistics throughout the run. While Runkeeper will work without the iPhone, the speed and distance won’t be correct. It says I ran faster and further than I actually did. Probably the fault of the Apple Watches GPS rather then a fault with the App. I bought a pair of running shorts from Lulumon with a phone pocket stitched into the built-in compression shorts. Works well and keeps the phone snug and still against my outer thigh during the run..Version: 10.7

Love the appGreat app. Tracks my daily walks, love it. As it’s too hard to send feedback to you I’ll do it here. Please don’t bombard me with what is probably useful information when I turn your app on. I am on my way out, no glasses about to walk so can’t read whatever your telling me. Do it at the end when 1 I have the time to read it (and my glasses) 2 I have the chance to read it (as all your doing is delaying my tracking and annoying me). If you had a feedback page I would have done it here but i can’t find it after 5 minutes of searching which is not great, though maybe you don’t want feedback..Version: 14.1

Keeps me on trackI like it. I us d the free version for ages and that was way good enough for what I needed, I don’t run races so for me the information it supplied was more than enough. Then I injured my heel and was unable to run for about 3 months. When I got back to it I seemed to have lost a lot of the motivation and enjoyment of running. Rather than give up I subscribed and tried one of Runkeeper’s training programs - my first 5K - since that was the distance I wanted to get back to. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Erin’s voice is great and it gave just the right amount of encouragement to keep you going and push yourself. Coming up to Christmas I’m now doing the running for fitness program which has an automated voice, I still enjoy it though. Just a couple of little niggles, hence the 4 stars. With the live coach it didn’t interact with my 3rd party music app. The music didn’t dim like it usually does so I struggled to hear her and ended up running music free. On the automated program the music dims fine though I would appreciate a half way point mention since I run out and back. Other than these petty tiny niggles I love it..Version: 11.3

Mostly goodPity that plans don’t work in km consistently. I don’t work in miles ever. Telling me I have a 2.5mi run is just annoying. If I set it for km I want it all in km not a hodgepodge of imperial and metric..Version: 11.0.2

1 key flaw but amazing appThis app is amazing, I love how you can set reminders to ensure you remember to run on the days you initially scheduled to run on. One thing they could definitely work on though is being able to calculate routes for you near your area as I often don’t really know where to run to as I don’t want to do the same run each week. Otherwise an amazing app and would totally recommend it to my friends!.Version: 11.0.2

FormidableC’est ma première série d’activités d’entraînement pour participer à mon premier marathon. J’adore cette application..Version: 14.14

👍🏽Easy to use very helpful for me without paying any cost loving it.Version: 14.8

Lovin it.A great app to track your progression. I love that you can change the exercise. I wish they would add climbing stairs. I have a friend with 4 stories in her house and she uses me to transport things from downstairs to top floor as she has Parkinson’s. Sometimes I just want to know how many steps I’ve climbed and descended. I like my targets. Accountability. Checking my speed, route and distance. Do we have a measure of gradient. If it’s there I haven’t seen it but I feel like I deserve a star⭐️ when I get to the top of the hill! Lol😀 I’ve been out when my phone died. It would have been great to have still captured that leg of the run and logged it but last time it deleted the whole journey and I’d been out for an hour and was so proud. But a great free app..Version: 14.0.1

Great free app - but some minor improvements neededI’ve been using runkeeper for a few years - great for tracking runs, integration with maps and the ASICS pace academy training is awesome. BUT - it doesn’t integrate all that well with the Apple Watch - I don’t seem to get audio cues and I can’t use the pace academy training with the watch. I also can’t create a pace academy style interval training session myself - you can create a fast, medium or slow interval - but not a specified pace (i.e. 2 minutes at 4.30, 2 minutes at 7.00). I really do like the app - definitely recommended for the amateur runner to track your runs, set goals and keep you motivated..Version: 8.6.1

Very good but needs some improvements.I’ve been using it for about 3 weeks and 9 runs. Everything works well but I have had some glitches on occasions. Once my activity just ended abruptly at the 7th mile of an 11 mile run. I couldn’t restart , so I had to start another activity for the rest of my run. I use an Apple Watch to control the app. Another thing that I don’t like is there is no way to revert back to a run activity if you accidentally press the end button on the watch. All you can do is Save or Discard. It would be nice to have a cancel option so you can return it the Resume/End option screen. I’m hoping the new version released recently fixes this. I know these are my fault but it would be nice to have more options if you press the wrong button which is easy to do while running. I’ve also had the notifications turnoff for no reason. I think Runkeeper has the potential to be a five star app but for now all I can give it is four..Version: 8.6

Walking with RunkeeperI guess my motivation is to try to stay a little healthy. But, walking allows me to find new restaurants, shops and things I missed most of my life by driving. Since May 5, 2020 I have walked 1,155 plus miles, Runkeeper helps me walk a little faster, try a little harder. It helps me not watch TV. At 68 years old, it’s like a little companion. A couple of features I would like to see, a break button or two, one for a bathroom stop and another for a food break. Here’s how they could work, there would be a pause button, if you tap that, you then select bathroom or food stop, bathroom break, 5 minutes, food stop, 30 minutes or an hour, once the app notices your on the move again, it starts itself, but doesn’t speak until you start actually moving more than three or four inches. I sometimes walk 3-5 hours in a day, but, if I stop to eat, sometimes I forget to restart the app. It would also be great, if you had walking contest, not just running. It would probably motivate me to walk even more. Just saying!!! Enjoy!.Version: 12.5

Why has Runkeeper stopped posting to Facebook ?I have connected it and it was working up until the last update ?? - I have also disconnected from Facebook and reconnected still no luck - it just tells me that I am already connected but I can’t use the auto share page - I have to skip it then share it later , this also impacts when I want to swap activities and keep going.Version: 9.2

Best tracking appI’ve been using Runkeeper for about 15yrs. I started out of curiosity and wanted to see if my commute to work by bike was improving each week. I tried Runkeeper and have never looked back!! It’s so user friendly, it’s free (which is amazing), and it gives you everything you could need. I love it! My favourite app!!! Don’t go changing RK!!.Version: 13.7

Great and Simple to Use!This app is really helpful for people of all categories of running. It’s lighthearted, cheerful, enthusiastic, and very encouraging. After a few times of usage, it is one of the easiest running apps I’ve encountered. There are a LOT of features you can access that help with different areas of expertise and determination levels. It’s even pretty good for those who aren’t looking for a community aspect to their exercising (although it does offer a community aspect). Overall, it helps you keep track of a lot of different measurements, and the voices for announcing your stats are adorable! Honestly, that’s my favorite part about this app. I only wish there were more! I think it’s really fun to alternate between the voices depending on your music and what kind of exercise you’re feeling that day. I haven’t yet tried setting goals, but there are some pretty good options for them! There’s also a planned marathon-type option for those who are looking to really get serious! Overall, this app is really helpful, unique, and fun. Hope everyone enjoys it!.Version: 11.6.1

Audio only works when the run is completeToo bad. I enables audio in the settings and was expecting audio cues while running but it was only when I finished running the app read me the summary..Version: 9.6

App doesn’t workI have paid for an annual subscription however doesn’t matter how many times I try to save run data to the app some days just won’t update so show as incomplete on my plan .....also when you update data and it saves on rare occasions it still only shows the PLAN not what you actually achieved. I was a massive fan of the original ASICS run training app and used it to plan many marathons....can’t get this one to work .... have cancelled my subscription to many bugs need addressing.Version: 10.2

Runkeeper Go Training Plan doesn’t Sync CorrectlyI purchased Runkeeper Go for the training plans and now regret it. I was excited to see that each training workout showed up on my watch. However, half the time it doesn’t sync correctly. The first two runs done this way showed up in the training log section, and in the regular Runkeeper log correctly. Then, one run didn’t show up in the training log section, but was in the regular log. That meant the training section kept reminding me to do the run and didn’t count it as completed. I had to delete the run and add it back in manually. I tried to contact support on that but never heard back. Then, yesterday, I did another run and it logged in the training section fine, but it was duplicated in the regular log - with one entry showing the red triangle as not synced. When I removed that one, it also deleted it out of the training log. So, I once again had to delete the whole thing and add it in manually. This defeats the whole purpose of having this app. I wish I would have never wasted my money on the upgrade..Version: 11.3

Great app with a few things to improveI’ve been using this app for a few months now! Love the free version so far! The motivation is great and all the stats are great! Even the social option is good! What bugs me is the fact that after quite a lot of my runs I see the warning symbol in my activity log. The net says it’s a syncing error! So I retry editing all my data manually and try out all the help tips, but no success. Its not a huge problem as my data is still there but I can’t see it on my leaderboard! Please fix this, as there’s many who have this problem! Otherwise great app, I would upgrade if I had the money ( tricky as a student)!.Version: 8.6.1

Not great after iOS updatesI love this app but the last 3 iOS updates have been a problem. I have uninstalled and installed and the app just freezes so I have t been able to use the app which is frustrating. Eventually I have got it to work but not sure what I did to do this or if it just fixed itself. Latest update has messed with the intervals- I have personal ones and the last one now which is 4 minutes doesn’t end after 4 minutes it just keeps going even though it says ‘last interval’ considering using another app..Version: 12.5.1

The super duper running app 💫Seriously, this is by far the best running app, and I’ve tried most of them. I’ve trained for five marathons with Runkeeper and it gets me race fit every time. Since becoming a premium member in 2012, it’s a great investment, especially if you’re serious about improving your running performance..Version: 12.0.1

Easy! no Fuss.It was extremely easy to sign up and get started with my first run today! A great APP..Version: 9.5.4

Perfect Mix of Run Recap Details!!!Perfect for my running! Easy to use, and shows running distances, elevation, weekly workouts, and tracking data in comparison of previous months and years. Adding a pic to your running workout is a great bonus, too! I run in rural areas and trails mostly, so it’s pretty cool to add a nice recap photo of trees, hills, deer, etc. The “feed” option is a quick way to “scroll” through your runs from most recent to previous ones. I’m a big fan of knowing and keeping track of my mileage per week, so this app works great for me. There are plenty of training options and races within the app. Switching between different forms of exercise (running, walking, cycling, etc) is simple. I love the map it shows me during and after my workout is complete, also. I’ve tried several other running apps, and this one works the absolute best for me!.Version: 14.5.1

I love Erin - Runkeeper changed my lifeI was not an exerciser. I was not fit. Mid-pandemic I decided I’d better get my lungs in shape in case I caught COVID. I was 51 (female). With Erin’s coaching in the “my first 5 K” program I became a runner! I started may 1st 2020. It is now mid January. I had a bit of a fall off in December- I’m learning to run in the cold. I have run over 370 miles since May 1st, I have lost 30 pounds, I can run 8 miles without stopping. And I had no major injuries. I’m in the middle of the “run a 10 k” training. I’ve had to re start 3 times (winter-cold-Christmas). But I feel like I have a lifelong habit now. My recommendations for new runners with a little extra weight and some knee pain (1) get new shoes and change them out every 250 miles (2) glucosamine and chondroitin supplements (3) let Erin coach you through the first 5 k. You will hear her voice in your head forever! (That’s actually a good thing-,I missed her a lot after that program was over. They should have her do more re).Version: 11.9

Not a runner!Cannot fault the app and though I keep telling people I am not a runner, Runkeeper has helped motivate me to get off the couch, complete 5k and now I run nearly everyday! I’d like to use more of the features but the subscription seems too high to get me hooked but the features it does have are useful, informative and powerful. It’s been three months since this 53 year old started getting fit and I wouldn’t have done it without the help of Runkeeper. Thanks. BTW I’m not a runner!.Version: 11.10

Great app for tracking your runs and it very usefulGreat app for tracking your runs and it very useful.Version: 14.8

Great cardio app for all levels of fitnessLet’s just say...this app is hands down the best one out there. I have been weight lifting everyday the last 10 years (currently 24 years old) so I’m pretty fit BUT lack completely in cardio. As of this year, I decided to ramp up my cardio with a bike. Long story short - to this date I logged over 362 miles and counting since Jan 1 of 2019. One great thing this app can do is set and track goals. My goal for 2019 is 600 miles (50miles/month). The app allows you to track how much your progressing with your goals. Nike run app and others don’t even come close to this app. Another thing that’s great is you don’t need to purchase the app to use most of the functions. Even though I am now considering purchasing the yearly subscription, the free app gives you much more than what a beginner needs. Again hands down the best app and I look forward to completing my current goal and shooting even higher in 2020!.Version: 9.9

Change the feedback message in the voice coachI think runkeeper is great. But the feedback message when I complete my workout says good job think of all the croissant you can have now. I don’t think a fitness app should be promoting unhealthy eating. Croissants are about 100% butter. What about suggesting a green smoothie or a healthy breakfast option like scrambled eggs. Better still don’t mention food at all!! I’m sure there are better feedback options. By the way the voice coach I use is female with French accent. Cheers Melinda.Version: 8.10.1

Not great for Apple WatchI’ve been using Runkeeper for 5 years. It’s a great fitness app, and has been used from small town walks to epic hill marathons. The phone app is near perfect, maps and data clearly laid out, and the reports and records on the website are a great insight to your activities. Where the app fails is Apple Watch. It’s a good app for Watch, however is missing a key feature for Series 3 and 4 - elevation tracking. I tracked an activity with my new Series 4 watch, and found that it hadn’t recorded any elevation data, despite the watch have a built in altimeter. Researching further, I found that this was the case - a Runkeeper blog post from September 2017 (Series 3 launch) confirmed that the Watch app did not feature this, but it was being looked in to. Now, a year later it is disappointing to see this feature hasn’t been implemented. Strava features this on their Watch app - Runkeeper, please build this functionality in to the Watch app. My second request for the Watch app is for it to allow users to lock the display during a workout. Again, Strava has this built in. Building these features in to the Watch app will mean Runkeeper stays as one of my most used apps, and make a great app even better..Version: 9.2

Great Run Tracking AppI have racked up nearly 200 runs and almost 1,000 Miles over the last 2 years on Asics Run Keeper and it is a really great app that I would recommend to anyone. It is very accurate; it allows you to listen to your music while tracking; and it has voice reminders that you can set to your preferred setting that are very helpful. It also lets you manually enter your shoe by brand and model and keeps track of how many miles you've run in them while giving you alerts when it's time for a new pair. I have been using the free version and have never purchased anything from it and I am more than satisfied. Not over the top on pushing you to buy subscriptions either which is nice. Asics has never reached out to me or compensated me for any of this review. It is completely honest from someone who considers themself an avid runner. This is a great run tracking app that is designed well and very functional for a "phone runner"..Version: 11.1

Run Keeper review by JamesHey, Just a few words a bit the App, Run Keeper. I used this App for a few years (Free version) It’s a simple to use and effected App that keeps records, maps of your personal runs, walks, bike rides, records of said exercises with maps, which are great to look at, to see your results, where, when, what. There are achievements to get, which are a great motivator and I was pleasantly surprised when I’ve received such. I’ve achieved quite a few of these achievements but I have plenty left more to go. You can gain the achievements via the ‘free’ version and it’s nice that the Developer of this App has created the App in such a way (it’s like saying well, you’ve just the free App version installed but at the same time you’re trying hard and we appreciate you using our Run Keeper App to so, so here a thanks you back). Simple and clear App to use and record your exercises, as above. Thanks you - Run Keeper. I’m seriously thinking paying for the full “paid for” version.. I need to see what it offers me over the free version and wether it will help, enhance and better my training\excises. J.Version: 11.6.2

Very good app designed for runningThis app has transformed the way in which you can run the selection of choices you can have on the free version alone helped me and my mate enjoy running a lot more and do it more frequently. Keep up the good work Runkeeper look forward to see what you have install soon. On one note. The operation the app on iPhone 6s is hard can you please fix the gps location isn’t strong. Thanks.Version: 8.7

Thanks for the latest update - Edit, still a glitchEdit: although the horrible GPS glitch was resolved, I still have an inconsistent problem with the app starting on my Apple Watch when I start a run from my phone. The watch app opens, but does not begin on its own. It worked yesterday, but not today. And this has been an ongoing problem since before the iOS 15.2 issue. I tried closing both the apps on my phone and watch and reopening, but that didn’t resolve the problem. Frustrating. Original post: After 10 years of using Runkeeper, I was ready to move on because of the recent glitch with iOS 15.2. My app would not track my runs unless I had the app open and visible on my phone, and the connection to my Apple Watch was inconsistent. I only wish the issue had been avoided or fixed more quickly. Would have saved a couple weeks of frustrated running experiences. Glad it was resolved..Version: 12.3.1

Love ItEasy to use. It tracks my walks and shows the route. And when I stop to chat it rests and waits for me to continue. The group aspect might be good if you’re looking for that sort of thing....Version: 10.8.1

Best free fitness tracker for runnersSolid app. Great free option. I don’t need to compare myself to others, just to track my own performance. Runkeeper does just that..Version: 9.5.4

Good! Liked itNew version improved Expecting more.Version: 8.3.1

I like itJust have basic and it works well.Version: 14.11

Almost greatI’ve been using the app for a few year now. This year more than ever with me setting running targets. Just two things that could make this the perfect app!! 1/ for some reason it cuts out ( pauses ) the run and I don’t notice until half a mile later and the speaker hasn’t announced my time. Annoying. It’s not all the time and it’s a not a signal issue as I’m running same routes each day and it’s only occasional but still amounting. 2/ this is the one thing that would be brill. Set a distance before I set off, run without having to check my app and when I reach my desired distance ( mainly 10k ) then it stops and records the time. Saves me having to try and take my phone from its holder and stop my timer at 10k while also running and pushing to get a better time. Other than that this an awesome app and u can add friends too and keep in touch with their progress. So close to a 5 out of 5! Well done ASICS.Version: 10.6.1

10.3 breaks important featuresThis app was the top running app in the Apple ecosystem until 10.3. The latest update has removed the good Apple Watch functionality, particularly around the use of the Watch as a heart rate data source. As a result I won’t be renewing Go next month, I’ll be looking at something else. Shame, it was the perfect running app for interval training.Version: 10.3

Love it !Love this app I’ve tried so many running apps before and they either froze when I opened other apps for example pandora/Spotify or Snapchat. Also they were too much , for example they either have too much information or had extra options and honestly all I wanted was to keep track of my runs/pace/time/miles/and my running tracks so basically the simple things and I found it with this ! So if your looking for a simple running app I definitely recommend this one. This app also has other options if you wish to apply them but it doesn’t force it which is good. Also you can modify your entry at the end of a run for example how you felt during the run , you can add a description and even post a picture. So yeah love this app! If that wasn’t enough it also let’s you know when you beat your time or beat the amount of miles you’ve ran before..Version: 10.5.1

TrackingI am able to keep track of my activities. This helps me keep on track. Thanks Runkeeper.Version: 14.7

Irritating problemsRunkeeper has suddenly started to go wrong for me; it keeps saying “activity paused” while I’m running, sometimes for 3 or 4 minutes at a time, it randomly adds distance to my run leading me to have ‘run’ 1.5 miles at 2.5 mile pace! If only there had been an English Amateur Athletic Association official around to record my unbeatable World Record! I’m not sure what I need to do to get it working properly again, do I need to delete and reinstall the app? Any advice would be welcome..Version: 9.1

Got me running!I started running 12 months ago and used runkeeper to track my distance. I lugged my sorry legs around 1.8km that first day! After about 6 weeks I decided I needed a challenge and signed up for a 10km run. At this point I subscribed to runkeeper’s training module which gave me a great training plan as I had no idea how to achieve this goal. The training module laid out a simple plan based on criteria that suited me and I was successful in my goal! Six months later I ran a half marathon! I never dreamed I would be able to do something like that, let alone to go from 0kms to 21km in 10 months, and in my forties! I would not have achieved this without this great app! Simple to use and tracks well..Version: 11.6.1

Easy and superb functionalityLoving this app.. it’s about a week now I started using this app but I am impressed with its features and easy to use interface... must have for a runner....Version: 8.6.1

Basic functions are free and work greatI had been using another free app from a big name sports brand. It was OK but kept changing the format, features and it would not always work reliably. This app is 100% reliable, has all the basic features I need, includes heaps of activities (I only seriously use the running tracker) and I find the stats meaningful. Highly recommend..Version: 8.10.1

ThanksBest apps!! Thx.Version: 8.3.1

This app is AWESOMEI absolutely love this app. I am not a runner and I used to hate running because the thought of it intimidated me so much. I didn't know what I was doing and I wasn't consistent because of that. This app provides guidance while you are running and let me tell you, it has made ALL the difference. There is a voice guiding you as you are running. It feels like I have my own personal trainer. I literally talk back to the voice sometimes lol. (You can also STILL listen to music as you run and the voice guides you). I feel stronger with each run, I can endure more and I just love the fact that we ease into things. We don't go beast mode from day 1 because whoever created this app knows that learning to run takes time and practice and that is why the app allows you to take a break between each interval - you walk for a few minutes then jog then sprint. It's really awesome and I'm so happy I downloaded it. The first 3 workouts are free and then you have to pay..Version: 9.10

Awesome free appEasy to use, can pay to upgrade but free is more than enough. I used the free version for a long time. It’s more than enough. I upgraded to the paid app last year. It is very good too. It lets you track lots of different activities. You can even track the treadmill using stopwatch functionality when it’s too wet to go outside. App lets you track lots of different goals. I highly recommend this app!.Version: 9.8

Great appI love this app, it’s great as it’s like having a personal trainer on hand all the time and the yearly subscription is fairly reasonable. My only gripe is that I wish there was a way to put all the workouts you are looking to complete on a list so it’s easier to find them to use them. It’s quite frustrating having to go into the workout page and find them every time. Also, I think the workout page could be better organised, perhaps listed more concisely as how it currently presented looks abit chaotic..Version: 14.5.1

Best app for runners!I’ve been using this app for few years now, its getting better year by years. Works well on apple watch. Auto pause, pocket tracker, push notifications are some cool features. I like challenges it provides to keep you motivated. Best app, highly recommended!.Version: 12.4

Completely worth itI love Runkeeper. I had it a long time ago, stopped running, and started back up with a new email. I was able to contact customer support and actually import my old logs to my new Runkeeper account. I paid for the upgrade to Go! back in August when it was on sale and I really enjoy it. When I finish the training program I'm on now from my local running store, I'm looking forward to their training programs. I love seeing how much I have improved over time, it's extremely motivating. Even though I'm struggling now, I can see that it's because I'm going so much further and faster than I was before. The one thing I’d like to see improved is the “this week” and “last week”. I’d like to be able to choose whether my “week” starts on Sunday or Monday, that way I could plan my runs in my planner and they’d match up with Runkeeper..Version: 9.5.3

Best running app!If you don’t care for the social side of things too much, I think this app is much better than Strava! The running plans helped me go from not being able to run 2km at once to doing 10km in less than 8 weeks, and now training for a half marathon. The personalisation of the programs is next level! I recommend to anyone and everyone regardless of running experience because it suits all levels. Love it!.Version: 14.0

Using it since 2013...This does a good job of mapping and providing useful feedback even in the free version. I appreciated in the past the global runs and little challenges and the community building early on when I was running the Boston Marathon in 2014 and got to visit their office! When I’ve been able to afford it and been training for something I’ve found it worth upgrading to the paid Go subscription and in general, when i can afford it, I’ve liked supporting this Boston based company. Not sure about all the ASICS integrations, I’ve not been training so much since that happened, but we’ll see. So far the customer service has been helpful, like reversing my recent renewal which didn’t give any notice and which I wasn’t able to afford at this time. Appreciated the understanding — that kind of customer treatment keeps you around and coming back when you can..Version: 10.6.1

Love the app, just one requestLove the app, I’ve used it on the paid plan for the last 3 months to train for a half marathon. The plan has helped me to run faster & smarter so very happy. One suggestion for an improvement - the date I will be running the half marathon has moved forward a few days but my plan won’t let me change the end date to adjust training to lead up to the new date. More flexibility on a plan would be good to make the app even better..Version: 12.5.1

This app is helping me train and keeps me on trackLove being told how far and fast I have am going so I can compete against myself. Great app whether you are starting out or a big competitor.Version: 14.8

Still prefer over StravaGenerally great - only annoyance is that the weekly comparisons, the weeks start on Sunday rather than Monday 🤦‍♂️.Version: 14.2.1

Awesome tech supportI want to give a shout out to Adam in tech support as he provided me clear instructions to sort out an issue I had syncing workouts onto my Apple Watch and comprehensive instructions on how to export my runs. I already knew this app had the best running/useful features however it’s gone next level knowing there’s brilliant tech support behind it😀.Version: 14.8

Works well with one minor bugWriting a review just to communicate a bug to developers. Running cadence in iPhone appears to provide the correct average (running with a metronome, so I know what it should be) but the graphs are off, sometimes showing high, sometimes low. Eg: today I ran at cadence of 165 and the app recorded an average cadence of 163 (close enough) but the graph shows my cadence hovering around 156. Other than that it works well. I’ve started recording with this instead of Strava. Mostly for the cadence and customizable audio cues..Version: 9.3

Nice UpdateGPS Indicator on “Start Screen” now more prominent making for easier ID of signal strength - good job! Really solid feature set with everything the Runner & Walker could ever need (you can record other activities manually). The default voice for audio cues (“Kat”) is excellent and IMO far better than the UK offering as it is clearer and as is needed, it grabs your attention so you listen to it. This is my “go-to” app along with RunGap and Google Fit and makes it much more enjoyable to record workouts and motivate yourself to try harder..Version: 12.0.1

Great appUsed this app for years, prefer it over the other well done fitness apps. It would be better if you could plot routes through the app and tracked positioning of that route whilst running. I have to switch between this app and another during unknown routes I have plotted online. Update Jun 23… the app is really playing up and has been for a few months. Continuously start stop as the distance is tracking, issues with pacing on both phone and watch. Come on Runkeeper, I have too much stored to swap apps..Version: 14.5.1

Great appSince Apple released their new iWatches, I can’t use my older iWatch to remotely activate this app on my phone. I want my phone to update me on my current performance, etc. and not my iWatch. Therefore, I prefer the old way how this was done. It would be good to have an option to use the watch: for activity enablement (start/ pause run) on the phone, capture heart rate details, etc. and synchronise with the phone while the full app is running..Version: 11.8.2

Easy and effectiveSuper helpful and easy to use!.Version: 14.7

Overall, good appThis is my favourite app for tracking all my workouts.. however there are some flaws that desperately need an update. 1. When you save a workout under a certain time, and then go back to edit the note, the time has changed by half an hour - which is frustrating if you are trying to link data with other workout devices or apps. Sometimes notes calories will even change at the same time too. 2. Some workouts will come up as an exclamation mark (error) but not explain the error or how to fix it - if you click into the workout, everything appears to be clear and working until you exit onto the workout list page. 3. Even if you link devices that have an inbuilt heart rate monitor, such as Fitbit HR, you still have to manually enter your heart rate as it can not automatically sync this with your workout. Sadly these have been issues for a long time now and they need fixing! Would’ve sent this in direct feedback to Runkeeper but couldn’t find how through the app! Again, love this app and definitely recommend if you are considering it.. but wish they’d do a big update!.Version: 9.7

Paid for Pro, Got worseI was using free for the past two years and decided 2020 was a good year to try the pro version. This month it’s failed twice. First on May 17th my app states No GPS Data Available. But on the computer I can see it. Then last week, May 24th my run doesn’t show up in the feed. When I check Compare Runs, there it is, but incomplete tracking as I made a full circle, start and finish the same spot. Never had problems with the free version. So now it’s been three weeks and whoever was “working” on my stats is gone after deleting every run prior to March of this year. That’s two years of runs and cycling. Gone. And I ran my fourth fastest mile today, but RunKeeper tells me I’m 8 minutes off my fastest run. Why? Because today there are three runs of 0 miles, 0 minutes listed for this month. My advice, keep your money and don’t bother with this crap app..Version: 10.8

Love itJuly30, 2919; I have been using the paid version and enjoy it. There are a few things I will put on here because I am not electronic savvy and can’t figure out how to contact Runkeeper. 1-what happed to horse riding? 2-why do I have to pick an active for a goal-for example I want to set a distance goal. I have to pick from about 5 different activities. Well what if I walk one day and go for a hike the next day and after that I run. Only one of the activities are counted. 3-why is it so hard to contact you? I really do enjoy the app. There are just a few things that I would like to see improved on. I really like this app. I am able to pace myself. This app helps me to see see how fast I am walking real time. I like the challenges. They help to keep me motivated. It is fun to see were you have walked using the map. It would be nice though if it could sense that I stopped. It messes up my average pace when I stop and it keeps timing me. I just have the free version so far..Version: 9.11.1

Love it, easy and funReally love this app! I started using it to track exactly where I was walking, and now I wouldn’t walk without it. I love the motivational voices, I use the Boston guy, and he’s so funny- I laugh as I’m walking when I hear him say something like ‘great job kid, you’re making your mom and pop proud’. So funny! You can choose different voices, and set the volume and time for responses (so you can choose to have it update you every 10 minutes, or 15 or 20, etc.). I also like that you can pause the app, if you’re walking to the shops or something, and want to pause while you shop. And it’s really good at tracking where you walk, so I get accurate maps of my walk..Version: 10.9

Please fix Watch notifications mid-runEach kilometre a notification pops up that cannot be dismissed for about 10 seconds. This is extremely frustrating when trying to finish a run at say 5.0 kilometres - you have to wait for the notification ato disappear before being able to pause the run. Please fix! Also, it would be great to be able to current AND average pace on the same screen mid-run..Version: 9.1

Need to fix Apple Watch syncThe Runkeeper training app is great but they need to sort out the Apple Watch syncing problems: sometimes it completely fails to sync after a run and sometimes it goes off midway. Also they need to allow the watch to select specific training workouts that are overdue rather than just ones in the future. It’s great to run with just the Apple watch but it is frustrating when your data does not properly sync with your phone and Runkeeper on your return..Version: 9.1

Really easy to use - no adds! Was using the under armour app for a long time until I found this one. I find this one much easier to use, less clunky, sleeker, haven’t had any issues. The only improvement I suggest would be to have more challenges in other countries not just the United states. It would be good to have some promotional material in Australia/New Zealand where I live..Version: 9.5.4

Overall very satisfiedThis app can be a bit glitchy at times (every once in a while it will just act like I haven’t been running at all for the past five minutes since my last audio stat, saying I’m still at the same distance I was before - maybe this is an issue with gps though…?) but overall I like it a lot. I find I can customize it more than other running apps, which I appreciate. There are a few improvements that, if made, would definitely make this a 5 star+ app, most of which fall under the Custom Run function: When setting up repeats of slow/steady/fast intervals by *time* (not distance intervals) I still would like to be able to repeat my intervals until I hit a specific *distance.* Example: 2 minutes fast, 1 minute slow, repeat: until I reach 3 miles. A similar ability under the Pace function would be great. I have used the app in both its free version and paid, and you really do get a lot out of the free version, so that’s awesome. When I do pay for the app, I’m generally training for something specific, and want to use the Customized Training Plan function. My one complaint there, is I’d like to be able to tweak my plan once I’m in it, without having to cancel and start over. Twice now I have started a plan, only to realize I set either a too ambitious or too modest goal, and the pace of the plan isn’t working for me. You should be able to adjust the end goal without canceling the plan. Change those things, and this app would be darn near perfect..Version: 11.9

A+A+ in every way.Version: 14.12

Loyalty reliabilityBeen a member since 2012 The app motivates me keeps me accountable and I enjoy looking back at how far I have tried and still need to keep going. History of runs makes me review and appreciate life and how close I Came to not being alive. I’m not a techno person and older so I use only the simple basics So keep on running.Version: 9.0

BrillJust love this app, have recommended to some of my friends.Version: 11.8.4

A great app well used appI use RunKeeper for all my running activities, typically 10k to half marathon. For longer runs (over 90 mins duration) it's best to turn off the screen or the battery will die before your activity is completed. The app itself is reliable for timings, but distance measurements are subject to the limitations of GPS capabilities. In thickly wooded areas the GPS signal can be distorted, giving some strange readings - but not the fault of the app. These errors can be corrected on the RunKeeper website, which is quite tedious!.Version: 10.5.1

Best app I’ve triedI was loyal to mapmyrun for a number of years before I found Runkeeper, and I’d also dabbled in Nike Run. This is by far the most accurate, best usability and best features (exporting photos etc). It’s also compatible with my Apple Watch..Version: 8.3.2

Art VegasGreat.Version: 14.12

Outstanding - 500 Runs Clocked UpI downloaded Runkeeper a very long time ago. Since then I’ve clocked up over 1000 runs of varying distances up the pinnacle in April 2019of the London Marathon. I’m not a serious runner but like to go out a minimum of twice a week, and then occasionally give my self some proper challenges. I did a 27km hill race in Sorrento but normally it is 5km to 8km stuff, may 10km to 12km if the weathers right at the weekend. Over the years I’ve seen lots of different alternatives to Runkeeper and I always keep coming back. I’m on the free version, which does all I need. Maybe one day I’ll treat myself to the subscription! Honestly, I love this app. It’s ideal for what I want and need and now provides a terrific diary of the many hours and wonderful places I’ve shuffled my tired old legs along!.Version: 11.4

ReliableI've used this app for many years now. It is reliable and functional. Each time I open the app, I know it will operate without fault. Every time I’ve experimented with other fitness apps I’ve found myself comparing them to Runkeeper and never found them comparable. As an elite member, my family appreciates the piece of mind the live tracking gives them. I run trails in remote areas and they know where I am if I need help. The interface between IOS version of RunKeeper and the Fitbit Versa 1 was spotty though. It took a long time for the Versa to connect to RunKeeper and sometimes it didn’t connect at all. I now have the Apple Watch 5 and the interface between Apple Watch and RunKeeper on IOS is exactly what I hoped for. Since the Apple Watch is a GPS device Runkeeper will run directly off the watch. The built in heart monitor is an added bonus. Keep up the good work Runkeeper..Version: 10.2

Love the app, needs some tweaks thoWhile I wouldn’t call myself a runner, I’m definitely a person that runs consistently and this app helps me track my runs and stay consistent. I bought the paid version last fall because I wanted to explore the paid features, particularly the training programs as I was looking for something to keep me accountable while still being feasible considering my fitness level and lifestyle. I’ve done the 5k guided training, which I love. After a winter break I started a gentle training regimen with the app. I picked three workouts a week that are about 20 minutes in length. These are adjusted as you progress through your regimen. The frustrating thing is that there’s no option to “pause” your training program if you need to (maybe due to small injuries, weather, lack of access to safe running locations, etc.). So the program will either progress whether you completed that week’s training or you have to end the program entirely and restart from square one. If there is a pause button, I haven’t been able to find it easily. Please add a pause button to the training programs!!!.Version: 11.8.4

Generally great but…the last update seems to have broken shoe tracking, all my shoes are showing about 40% of actual mileage … and GPS sync from Apple Watch to iPhone has also gone, the distance is recorded correctly but the map data recorded looks like the route was run by a spider on amphetamines. When sync’d to Strava, one run has retained its correct distance, the next has vastly overstated it. So a few quirks in the latest update to be wary of.Version: 11.7

RunkeeperA great running app! Love it.Version: 8.3.1

Used to be the best appI’ve been using Runkeeper for over 3 years now. It was excellent. Now I will look for a new app since last upgrade. I have the Apple Iwatch and I loved that the phone and Iwatch synced. I had my heart rate monitored constantly from the watch, but while walking could easily see all the stats on the phone. Now stuck with just using the watch. It’s cold out. I can’t easily get to watch to see rates and distance. Had better access to phone plus easier to read and hear. All my friends and relatives used runkeeper. NO ONE likes it now since the phone and watch are not synced. Went from 5 star to 1 with last upgrade. Plus before upgrade you could use either watch or phone independently too. Why kill the sync? I thought upgrades were to make something better not make me remove the app from my phone. Don’t get this app unless they put it back the way it was..Version: 10.3

Perfect!Tracking my run for many years!.Version: 14.15

Poor Apple Watch appUsed to love Runkeeper on my phone, have tried it on Apple Watch for a while now to really fine it a go and am afraid ha e been forced to go back to the native workout ap as so many errors and lack of functionality. Cadence very erratic Elevation gain works occasionally No ability to customise heart rate zones Generally poor experience which is a shame as I wanted to like it and looking at outside reviews these problems have been around a while so obviously not going to be fixed.Version: 9.12

Runkeeper getting worseI have been using Runkeeper for a few year now; but lately it has become incontrolable. Stops monitoring my run when it feels like it. Cannot stop sending notifications every few minutes regarding the camera not being connected. Stops at its will the music. Popping frequently the pay version option while engaged in running, etc, etc, etc. I just need the stats and music when I am running; not all those annoying interruptions from Runkeeper that takes the joy while running. I decided to switch apps and I do not recommend Runkeeper if you want to enjoy your time running rather that checking constantly that Runkeeper is doing what you want not what it wants!!!!.Version: 13.5

Best Sports AppI have been using Runkeeper for almost 6years. I started walking but after 6 months started running. The Runkeeper app has motivated me every time. I recently bought a bike so now also use Runkeeper for tracking my pace for cycling. I don’t like that I cannot store my pace and distance cycling separately to running. If I save the cycle stats Runkeeper adds it to the running stats but that is not helpful. I would suggest you separate the stats log so we can track our different training events individually according to the activity..Version: 8.6

Easy & AccurateMy go to app! Links with “MyFitnessPal” so I can see how many calories I’ve used and balance my weight loss.... or eat more!.Version: 8.5.1

Great appUsed this for a few years now for running and cycling. I would like to see Skateboarding added though (can be an intensive workout)..Version: 12.1

Pretty goodSome times doesn’t connect to the GPS properly but when it’s working it’s great. Love that it does group challenges, it’s a great motivator.Version: 9.5.4

Very usefulMy husband and I are in our 70’s, and Runkeeper is such a great tool to keep track of our distance hiked or biked, but also encourages us to keep a good pace going. Our goal for hiking is ‘never less than 2km’..Version: 14.11

Great motivator! This app is wonderful- I’ve only been using it just over a year (still free version) and I must say it’s so fun! I’m finding myself using it more all the time. I just love knowing what my stats are ie: mileage and speed, on a hike or causal quick walk around the neighborhood. The different voices you can choose from are fun too- and you can always turn that off if you don’t want to hear it. Being able to track total mileage for a day/week/month, compare to previous months, or set a distance goal and push for it has been really cool and motivating. (Word to wise: Take Baby Steps!) When I feel like I’m not doing great it’s nice to see how far I’ve come literally and figuratively in the last year. (Over 200 miles!) Plus- there’s a lot of settings you can fiddle around with and ways to interact more (or less) like turning off the emails. It’s a well made app, almost haven’t had any issues with it- and after I fiddle some more and see how well it’s helping me get back into the almost-daily-walking/ movement saddle, well- I just may spring for the paid version..Version: 12.3.1

I love Runkeeper, been using it for yearsI love how easy it is to use, how you can add photos, the audio cues, the maps, etc. I appreciate that I can use it for free with most features without having to subscribe. One little tiny thing, when it has the weekly summary, there doesn’t seem to be a way to find out, or change, when the week starts (eg Sun or Mon?).Version: 10.5.1

Great app with all my hikes/runs/etc backed upThis is an amazing app, it remembers my hikes, cycling routes and runs from 10 years ago. Even I don’t remember those. It’s very accurate and fast. Never hangs on me, even when my reception is poor. My only nitpick is that it could benefit from an island activity card. Those have been out for over a year now. That way I can clearly see that the app is running in the background and see my stats. I’m not a fan of listening to them. I also sometimes forget to stop the route after the hike, so the app records my car drive and it messes up the stats. A clear activity card would help solve that issue. Otherwise, this app is perfect..Version: 14.10

I'm a fan.For over five years I've been enjoying RunKeeper; >8,000 kms logged. Love the audio cues (mine set to 15 minute intervals) - no need to run with a distracting watch just listen out for updates! Also use the workout reminder to stop me getting lazy. Sometimes needs reloaded after an update otherwise 5 star app ( don't panic about reinstalling as all history info on web via Mac)..Version: 9.0

Used for 3 years and never had a problem. It’s a great app for tracking progress on running pace, distance, and calories burned and I’ve never had to pay a cent..Version: 14.7

Great app for all enthusiasts out there!I have been suing the he app since the end of November and it has worked like a pro for me and my exercises that i do, specifically running and core workouts/exercises. I would recommend and have recommended it to my friends and family as well as online to get people up and moving. I think this app would work for people who just want to have a friendly helper there to help keep track of your daily exercises. Would strongly eat this app for those people who want to enjoy exercises can do so using this helpful and friendly reminder for the app to get exercises and reminders to do so..Version: 8.6

Bug about the age - solvedThe problem related to age requirement is solved! Thank you!.Version: 14.7

Yearly subscription too expensiveI love and use Runkeeper, I would love to upgrade however it's just too expensive, especially when you can pay a one time fee and receive similar benefits with other apps, maybe a cheaper membership would help get more users... I would give it 5 stars if it was less expensive, so unfortunately I'll keep using the basic version....Version: 13.6.1

Group motivatorSuper simple all what you need for amateur sports stats + great to see you friends runes... great motivator!.Version: 11.2

FantasticLove this app. It’s easy to use and has helped me to stay motivated with all the stats it shows me at the end of a run/walk. And this is just tenge free version. Great work guys!!!.Version: 9.5.3

RobertSometimes we forget to adjust the activity from say, running and riding. We need to be able to change this after the event. Wonderful app. Second review. Not so good any more. Problems with audio info. Just incorrect. Eg current speed, average speed etc. Cant expand gps map on screen. Will cancel if not fixed soon. Already trying others. I have the latest 4 series Apple Watch. Cannot get it to talk to Runkeeper. Can u help me????.Version: 9.11.2

Bug Fixes????My app was updated this week for stayed “bug fixes” . Prior to this update Runkeeper was working perfectly - now - I am really disappointed . It keeps stopping during my walk & then it’s adding more distance than I am actually doing! My usual 7 km walk has doubled over the last few days - not in real time but according to my app! Please fix this!.Version: 8.10

Boston voiceLove him. But time for some new sayings. Love the app.Version: 10.3

Run keeper appOverall I have been very impressed & satisfied with the app &have recommended it to lots of friends & people on social media. The last month or so I have been experiencing lots of glitches & not although the support team replied with some suggestions the problems have persisted. In the last few weeks at last half of my weekly runs ( I go daily) haven’t been recorded till 15 minutes into a 40 minute run. I know I’ve done 4 Miles but the app will only show 25 minutes of the run.Version: 11.9

Excellent App for running!Less distractions. This helps to focus in my running. 100% recommended 😎🤓🏃🏻‍♂️.Version: 13.5.1

Longtime UserI have been using Runkeeper for over ten years and love it - and I used the basic free version. It’s as accurate as any other running app (that I’ve tried), records details of all my runs, shows the route I ran on a map, tracks my various shoes and miles on each. My favorite part is all the stats that can be voiced at each set distance or time. On short runs I set them for every quarter mile. For longer runs, I set for every mile. I have it voice my total time, distance run, pace, current pace, average heart rate and current heart rate. This lets me know if I need to pickup pace or perhaps slow my pace because HR is getting too high. I really like going back and looking at past runs and comparing them to my current runs. I know other runners like different apps and a lot of that is because of familiarity. I’ve tried the most popular ones and I’ll not change from Runkeeper unless something incredible is released..Version: 13.6.1

Easy & efficientI like this app. It is so easy to record how far I run, and how long I run for. Just got what I was looking for..Version: 12.3.1

Love this app!Runkeeper is perfect for my needs and customer service is responsive and helpful. I found a bug recently and they had it fixed within a day or two. Thank you!.Version: 14.15

Love this app!!!I have never been a runner but always wanted to 😊 I’m in my 40s and decided it’s time. By accident I tumbled on Runkeeper wanting to just track my waking distance and map it and within 5weeks I can consistently run for 30mins. Their trainings to run a distance is fabulous, motivating and keeps you in track. I love the audio trainer Erin, I really enjoy running now thanks to this app. The cost is also reasonable..Version: 10.11

Well playedI was super excited about this app! I downloaded it because I’m trying to get into running and I needed some help doing so. I set t up for my first 5k. I loved the personal running coach right in my ear. I love that I can still play music while using this app. I loved the helpful tips and coaching. BUT.... when I went out for my 4th run, I discovered that it was no longer free. To go any father, to have any more coaching, I needed to pay a subscription. $35 for a year or $10/month. Of course I didn’t pay. Rather, I went back home... and I didn’t ru. For a week!! I couldn’t find anything else that I liked that was free. So I finally bit the bullet and got the subscription. Of course I can’t afford it. If I could, I wouldn’t have gotten an app! I would have gotten a gym membership! But they had me hooked and I needed motivation to run. I’m doing the 1 year subscription, and then I’m canceling. If I’m not running in my own in year I shouldn’t be running at all. Well played Run Keeper, well played..Version: 9.13

Good Apple Watch App, could be betterThis app is probably the best Apple Watch app I have used so far in terms of accuracy of distance and current pace when your not using your phone. Although the current pace jumps back and forth a little much, it is very close to my actual pace. The face of the app in the watch can be changed while you run which is good and bad depending on if you accidentally hit the screen. The reason I did not give the app a five star is because it still can be improved significantly. You cannot customize the watch app on the phone app which can be frustrating. I’ve tried to change it so there is no countdown before the run but there still is a 3 second delay anyways. When you first start a run the display takes a couple seconds to come up, and is also hard to stop when you are tired. I like the activity apps way of stopping and starting runs where you simultaneously press the power button and home button on the watch much more. This will make speed and interval workouts much easier to track..Version: 8.6.1

Good mappingMaps well. Easy to use. Cannot change from calories to kilojoules..Version: 14.15

Overall Good, Could Benefit from CustomizabilityThis app led me to my first successful marathon, so I can’t complain too much! The paid version provides a “custom” training plan based on your pace goals and race date, but there’s no adjusting the plan once it’s been dictated. You can’t adjust the days of your planned runs (though you can complete them earlier or later if needed, they just show up as if you’ve skipped them) or adjust your pacing/pace goals if you’re not meeting your metrics. You can’t add scheduled days off if you’ll be out of town or if you get sick. The plans seem to be identical each time (I just started a second marathon plan and it’s the same as the first one was), and there’s no way to customize if you feel like you need to do more sprint workouts vs relaxed runs. I also wish there was a way to set plans not based on race distance (i.e, to make it a goal to run faster overall, rather than aiming for a specific distance)..Version: 14.12

Love it!Very well put together, intuitive and packed with powerful features..Version: 9.2

Favorite running app! After Endomondo abandoned me, I was at a loss for a good tracking app. I tried Strava and a few others, but this one beatthem all by a 5k! I do pay for the subscription, however, it’s worth every penny. I am now being coached, and am a better runner then before. I am running longer and faster. If someone told me a 5k would become quick cardio day, AND I would have energy left over, I would have laughed in your face. But it’s now my reality. The trainings start super slow, and build at a good pace. If it becomeS too hard, I just repeat the ones before it that I can do until the hard ones become more tolerable and the next thing I know they are the easy session. Every now and then I do one of the very first session that started me off and I can see how far I have come. This is great for those beginning and those who are experienced. It’s nice to have a coach in your corner!.Version: 12.5.1

A love this app wish it connected to StravaI have used the basic level of this app and have for years. I have also upgraded to pay for more features. I don’t want to change. Many people feel the same about their apps. People use different types of kit for training which have associated software. Strava integrates all of these well and a sync is automatic. This makes for a happy meeting place for everyone to share their training and results and support each other. Please Runkeeper, join the Strava family..Version: 10.10

Makes running accessible to anyone!Best running app out!.Version: 11.3

Track your distance on every walkSuper useful app to track your distance on every walk. Monitor your progress as you extend duration and steepness. Basic capabilities in the free version is all I need, and works really well for me, especially since I got a new phone. My old phone to struggling to keep the satellite reckoning..Version: 12.3.1

5km run programI am really enjoying the first 3 sessions of this program. Used to run but have not been doing so for close to 30 odd years or so. Am now 74 so am taking it slowly. I know I am going to have some more challenges but if the program continues as it has been going I feel confident I will get there. The only problem which is a technical one is I cannot connect my iPhone Runkeeper app with my apple watch Runkeeper app even after following instructions. This maybe something to do with the watch rather than the app. Not sure. Any suggestions will be gratefully received.Version: 9.12.1
