Best exercise appEasy to follow - flexible and options for all lifestyles, needs and fitness levels ! Also sends reminder messages of what’s coming up the following day..Version: 5.18.0

WorkoutsI love this app so far!! I am a highly competitive high school basketball player, and am used to very intense workouts and/or conditioning sessions. This is a great app for working out during the off season. It offers motivating commentary (often annoying, sometimes encouraging), and easy-hard workouts. It has many short work outs, giving me no excuse to skip one, and always making sure I have time for one. Whether it’s midday, at night, early morning, or all three! I will continue to use this app, as it serves me well. I only wish they added more basketball stars (such as Lebron James, The King 👑) or added an easier way to message the experts. My father works with the military, so I travel a lot. Currently I am in japan, and can sadly not send messages to the experts on the Nike team. However, those are my only complaints. Overall, this is a nice, quality app with a great music feature, and an even greater easy to use layout. I rate this 5/5..Version: 5.18.0

Very good! Thank youI’m not fit. I need to improve my game. This app is helping. I really like it. Very clear and love the animations that demonstrate a perfect rep of the exercise in question. I can say that it’s making me very aware of how I can move my body and my general fitness. Which is a good thing. Any ways to improve? Always. I would prefer customisable notifications that prompt me to work out. They have been a bit temperamental in my experience. Also I find the app navigation a little bit quirky. I would prefer a quick access button to the plan I am undertaking. At present it is a sub-menu in the workouts section. Thanks Nike. Good work. Hope I can keep going and get in shape! 🥇 🏋️‍♀️ 🤩.Version: 6.10.0

GoodI love the app except it would be better if u added a feature where you could customise how long your workouts are in the personal plan because although i love how the app creates a plan based on your sporting ability and you are allowed to choose how many workouts u are able to do each week, it does not let you choose how long the workouts are which is a problem for me because I don’t always have enough time for a 30min workout. But trust me, it is a good app..Version: 5.17.1

Had to delete as it went off throughout dayAwful app To begin with it was great to work out to however it kept going off throughout the day even when the app was not open and my phone was on silent playing " beginning workout " out loud It even went off in the middle of a meeting at work ! I deleted the app hoping this would help however after 2 months of the app being off my phone it still goes off every 12 hours sometimes waking me up the evening Awful awful app - can anyone at apple help.Version: 5.8.0

Great exercises but boring executionBest app out there for a wide range of expert movement, including strength, endurance and mobility. Most other apps out there only focus on plyometric workouts that are a quick fixes but not sustainable. I don't know about you but some days I just don't feel like doing burpies... the only thing letting down this app is the delivery. It used to have videos of the actual Nike training coach who created the workout doing the moves but now it is the same person in each workout, which isn't as inspiring to follow. If you put on a good playlist and can motivate yourself to workout it's great but if daily exercise isn't already a habit for you, it might be hard to commit to this app..Version: 5.7.0

Great but need new intermediate programsThe app is great; I’ve used it around 3-4 years. You can even add your own activities you don’t do on the app to get a clearer view of total physical activities. The main issue I have is boredom and only liking one trainer. I’m not into the new workouts and programs for beginners and pregnant people. I mostly do Kirsty Godso’s workouts as she is the best trainer. I’ve done her 2 programs a few times each. I would like her to do a new program for people who are bored with the app and want new workouts from her and tips on how to continue for intermediate people who need new Kirsty Godso workouts. None of the programs address being sick of the workouts and not needing the new ones. She should do a program called Keep Going and add new workouts. The app is great for beginners and new people but they should be thinking of people who’ve been using the app a few years..Version: 6.44.0

One of my favorite apps, and things to improveNTC is one of my favorite apps and I use it at least 4 times per week. The workouts are great, the coaching program is my favorite since it forces me to be accountable to myself, and the addition of yoga workouts has been a nice surprise. With that being said, there are a few things that could be improved: Time-based vs rep based workouts: on rep-based workouts, there are built in rest times. On the time-based workouts, NTC automatically tells you when that rest is done. In the rep-based ones, however, you need to keep track yourself on your phone and check off when the time is done. It should be possible to have that rest count down automatically. Music selection: the music selection interface is a little clunky Apple Watch interpretation: This is my biggest need for improvement. Admittedly, I may be caring way to much about my Move calorie counting score on my watch, but the NTC app continuously overrides the calories burned during a workout that’s tracked by my watch and replaces it with the estimated calories from the NTC app. Considering the watch has a heart rate monitor, I assume that its calorie counter is more accurate than the NTC estimate. It’s pretty disappointing to finish a workout, have my watch tell me that I completed my goal for the day, and then NTC rolls back my calories burned for the day a few hours later..Version: 5.8.0

My go-to app for workout routinesI have several fitness apps that I’m looking to weed out. I keep coming back to the Nike app because it’s easy, simple. The design of the app is clean and intuitive. The workouts are really good. I’ve used lifting apps but it kinda gets boring quickly with those. A combination of lifting plus the addition of HIITS, and sometimes Yoga at the end is way more engaging. Don’t get me wrong, some days I want to lift heavy and that’s it but those are occasional. I’m also happy they don’t charge like another big name corporation they I won’t mention. Bottom line is you’re getting a premium product at no financial cost to you. If I were forced to criticize something about the app I’d say this. 1- they should have a way to schedule your workouts for you via machine learning. For example, after a few weeks of recording the types of workouts you’ve chosen, the app formulates an algorithm to book your next routine the next time you open it. 2- I want to eliminate certain types of workouts from view going forward. I know I can do that on demand but I don’t like sorting every single time I open the app..Version: 6.32.0

Great but some bugsGreat work out app when compared to others on the market. The fact this is free is a huge bonus and will definitely invest in some Nike training gear with the money saved. There’s one thing that’s a little bit annoying - when you complete a workout from a programme and leave the app - a notification is delivered usually from the last trainer offering some tips - however when you click on the notification it only takes you to the Nike Training app home page. Nothing related to the mysterious tips from the trainer! Please fix!.Version: 6.21.0

Thank youBeen with Nike for over 7 years. I miss the free recipes for smoothies and I wish it would come back but I am most grateful that it’s FREE no in App purchases nothing! Best App ever! Pls bring back the recipes ❤️.Version: 6.12.0

Best fitness app everBest fitness app and it’s free! I’ve worked with a personal trainer before and this pretty much a personal trainer in your pocket with out the crazy fees! Nike have out done themselves with this app! Try it you’ll love it!.Version: 6.1.0

Used many. This is the best.By far the BEST overall fitness app. The programs take a strong focus on movement quality and safe body development. The app is also extremely flexible and can cater to varying levels of skill (through to professional athlete standard). You can choose workouts based on what equipment you have available, which I love. I’m travelling and can still smash out a great workout without having to find a gym..Version: 5.17.0

Great! - When it all works. As the title says, but I’m running an iPhone XS and an Apple Watch Series 4, all on the latest software updates and it’s all a bit hit and miss. Sometimes it all syncs and works, sometimes the watch app starts but doesn’t monitor activity until midway through a workout, sometimes the watch app starts and then just exits midway through. This all smacks of a lack of thorough testing, which I may understand if I was running older devices, but on the latest devices it’s a bit poor. I’d give this five stars if it wasn’t for the unreliability..Version: 6.3.0

Best fitness app I’ve used so farThis is actually a pretty good app if you’re just starting to exercise, and especially if you can’t afford a regular personal trainer! I’ve only done 2 weeks worth so far, so I’m not sure how well it works as a permanent fitness app, but still really good for general exercise..Version: 5.8.0

Brilliant Fitness appThis is probably the best fitness app you’ll find that’s completely free, no hidden subscriptions or fees, what you see on advertised is exactly what u get. The exercises are brilliant and always push you hard. I always had a problem finding exercises when I have to travel or don’t have access to the gym, this covers it all. I’m currently about to finish my start up plan, and I can already feel fitter, and I’m pretty sure I’ve lost a few pounds because some old clothes that had gotten to tight are suddenly not so tight anymore ☺️stick to your plan, give a 100%, take it one step at a time, and you’ll have the body u want soon enough... there are no shortcuts.Version: 5.17.1

Great app and training plans!I followed the 8 week gym strong plan at home and it was great! Even though I had limited equipment (I made do with dumbbells, a slam ball and pull up bar) the workouts are varied enough that they don’t become repetitive and stay fun and interesting. Considering the app is free it’s just at good at some other ones which charge around £10 a month. The app is really simple to use and it’s easy to view your training plan by day or week or the whole 8 weeks. The plan really kept me motivated and in shape during lockdown. I pretty much followed the gym strong plan down to a tee and my back and legs are much stronger. You’re practically doing legwork and pull-ups or chin-ups in every workout. My only slight criticism was that there wasn’t enough chest exercises in the workouts..Version: 6.11.1

What a great app!As someone who doesn’t like working out (especially in public, at the gym) this app is perfect! Completely customisable in regards to how much you’re already working out, what you want to do now and even what equipment you have available! I love that you can rate each workout afterwards as well! Plus the link with Nike Running Club means I can keep track of that as well! And it’s all free! Amazing!.Version: 5.7.0

Legit, Professional, EFFECTIVE!!I have tried for years to attend classes, work with trainers, etc. at many different facilities. I have a gym quality treadmill bike weights at home too.... nothing compares to NTC!! I’ve dropped 30 pounds and gained strength, flexibility, stability I haven’t had for years trying to do it on my own. The workouts are challenging and balanced. I never stretched before and rarely had the variety in every workout. My Plan truly is tailored to ME, my goals, and my equipment, etc. This is the real thing and a Godsend for me. Just like the slogan says, all you have to do is tell the NTC app what you want, then, Just Do It!!! If it wasn’t for the Kaepernick thing Nike would be batting 1000 in my book, so if you were going to fall short on anything, better that, than NTC, NRC, the shoes, the clothes, or the gear!!! Thanks for all of your hard work Nike!!! Nike works for me so I can work to achieve a better me toward my best self!.Version: 5.16.0

Nike Training ClubLoving it!! Free, Motivational and also makes your workouts personalised for your schedule, your body type and weight and your fitness level. love it so much!!.Version: 6.9.2

Best Free Fitness AppI have never came across an app that does a programmed plan assigned to your level that’s free. You can do it anytime you are available and can change around things with ease. Instructed movements and videos of real people doing the exercises so you can see how it’s done. This app helped me get the goals I was after..Version: 6.14.0

Best workout app out thereI have tried many many MANY workout apps, and believe me i have gotten very agitated. i’ve googled and searched and downloaded so so many apps and none of them were right. they were either not free of just not a good overall app. this app is PERFECT. it shows you exactly what to do and adjusts your plan to your lifestyle. it helps you keep your workout goal as well as push yourself. it speaks aloud so you don’t have to constantly look down at your phone when all you want to do is focus. there are such a variety of exercises and workout routines so you can pick the one that’s right for you. this is the best workout app i have ever found and i will definitely be using it a lot his year. i’ve had it for only 2 days and i am ABSOLUTELY IN LOVE with it. it motivates me to workout and gives me checking points on my personal workout. this is just what i needed to turn my workout goals into a habit. i have never been more motivated to reach my workout goal. this app was life changing..Version: 5.8.0

Love the appLove this app - interface and searchability are ten million times better than apples fitness, however the new dance workouts are displaying incorrectly in Apple health - showing up as 5000kj workout which it definitely wasn’t. Love doing them but throwing off lots of my fitness tracking..Version: 6.39.0

Need a few changes otherwise amazing app.Amazing app. Would be nice to be able to make your own workout routines with the workouts provided or substitute exercises in the workout plans due to not having the right equipment (my small gym doesn’t have everything needed). And would be nice to just use the app on the Apple Watch without having to start it on your phone. Other than that it’s an excellent app love the workout plans and for all fitness levels..Version: 6.3.0

THE ONLY APP YOU NEEDHonestly this app is amazing. I have lost 20 kgs just from using this app for toning and exercise. I used to hate exercise, I hated doing it, it was boring and it made me feel useless and unfit. I started off with something I liked, yoga and then after doing those awesome work outs I started to try other workouts on here. I wasn’t trying to lose weight, I wasn’t on a diet or any programs but I toned myself and all my friends tell me how fantastic I look. I recommend this app to everyone I meet and I honestly love it and use it all the time. I love being able to hook it up to my tv and it plays my music and I pick whatever exercise I want and then I just do it. I really feel like I’m accomplishing something and I’ve never felt better. I can’t believe it’s FREE AS WELL like seriously this is a premium app and I can’t do without it! I love the celebs and doing work outs with them, I love that it has a Nike run app that I use as well. My fave exercise is the tank top arms work out! So great! Love it! Can’t say it enough!!.Version: 5.18.1

Easy to use and motivatingLove this app, the short workout sets means it’s not too daunting and I can mix up different types of workouts or target select muscle groups. Very clear and easy to follow..Version: 6.7.0

Such a great app! Thank you Nike! This is how I got fit after my third baby, no time for gym schedules and hard to get out the house with 3 children.. no problem. Tons of workouts at all different levels, different abilities, focus’s and equipment! 3 years on I’m still LOVING IT!.Version: 6.26.0

Pause Button? When you get interrupted, could you add a button where the workout pauses, but can be picked up on what you left off on? ;).Version: 6.9.1

Best home workout appThis app is the best I’ve found for home workouts. Simple clips to follow (instead of full on videos which I find annoying), you tick when you’re done and it moves to the next exercise. The clips include helpful tips and the occasional motivational prompt, there’s a good balance. It creates a tailored daily plan based on your height/weight/fitness level/goals and you feedback on how difficult you found it so it will adapt, plus additional targeted workouts to choose from. You can tell it what equipment you have and it tailors around that. You can play your music through the app during the workout. And it’s all free, thanks Nike ✔️.Version: 6.9.2

Great app but some syncing issuesLove this app but it has delayed syncing with the NRC app. On the plans it directs you to the NRC app for the running workouts. It’s doesn’t sync that run back into the training app until you do another workout. Very annoying if your run is on the last day of the week because then the apps records you as not having met your goal for the week when you have actually done it. Please work on this..Version: 5.17.1

AmazingWow wow wow. Probably the best workout app out there. It casts a shadow over Fitness+ as well as Centr and Skimble which I all tried/used. The programs with a huge selection of quality classes makes this the perfect workout app of choice. It works with my Apple Watch and I can Airplay it to my tv (Fitness plus cannot do that what a shame for Apple). I truly felt I was just in a live yoga class and relieved my deep stressors amid a covid pandemic. I use the app now to train every day. Amazing experience. Nike truly living up to its mission by making this free and up to date. Well done team Nike..Version: 6.18.0

Great App, unfortunately not a 5*I’ve used both Nike Running and Nike Training for a number of years and the various types of exercises and programs are fantastic. The reason that I can’t give the app 5* is because 1. Stability issues -continually crashing, continual issues with downloaded programs (either won’t download or once downloaded and marked as a favourite it disappears and I then have to download again) also I’m not sure if there are a limit on downloaded programs but I have a 256gb iPhone for a reason I won’t my downloaded programs when I want to use them without having to worry if they will be stored or not. 2. An app like this must have Apple Watch compatibility. 3.lastly, if i start a program on Nike it run it cancels any program I begin on Nike training you should be able to use both app designed programs without the other cancelling the other. Address the above 3 issues and it will be a 5* fitness app hands down.Version: 5.9.0

Love it!This is one of the best apps for workouts. I love their variety of workouts and how they let you know what equipment and level of fitness is recommended. Their programs have kept me going on my fitness journey as they are challenging and I don’t have to think hard about them. I love that they have introduced and built in programs that also support mental health such as yoga and breath work. Only downside is I can’t take 2 programs at once (one for my physical health and one for my mental health). I found a work around but it means I can’t track my progress within the app..Version: 6.50.1

Cannot fault this app! This is the only training app that doesn’t require any add on purchases which is great for a uni student! I walk away from each circuit feeling incredible! Wide variety of workouts that allow you to choose from the muscle group or workout type! I’ve been using this app for nearly 2 years now and tried other fitness apps. Always find myself coming back to this one. My only suggestion is for there to be sessions dedicated to cool downing and stretching as I feel that that time allocated to cool down and stretch in the sessions are not long enough..Version: 5.18.1

Regret updatingMy partner and I have been really enjoying using the NTC app since COVID (a lot over the last two years). It has been an absolute saviour during lockdown. Couldn’t recommend enough. However, the only issue now is that the update has removed the green timer bar at the bottom of the screen. This is a shame as we found this so useful to see from the distance the time remaining on each exercise. Now it doesn’t show this - as the video interface has changed and it doesn’t play within the app. Hopefully you can bring the green bar back! Thanks in advance.Version: 6.33.0

Good apTo the developers, My program has disappeared and for some reason can’t set up new one. Other than that I love it and the workouts are hard but good..Version: 5.13.0

Totally brilliant!!I am a dedicated user of this app. Love that you can view the exercises being performed as you go and get verbal information (if you choose) to ensure you get your form right, remember to breathe, encourage you to push yourself etc. Love that it has workouts for all levels of fitness and an enormous variety of workouts, upper/lower body, yoga, strength, endurance.. Love that it works with my Apple Watch and the Health app to record all my stats, heart rate, calories burned etc. This app has all I need to keep fit and build strength without leaving home and paying to go to a gym. Well done Nike!!.Version: 5.16.0

Best Fitness AppGreat range of workouts for a range of abilities that you can do anywhere. Love that it has no in app purchases that limit its functionality. The only thing that would make this app better would be more flexibility to edit the weekly plan so that you can swap out or add workouts. Regardless, I highly recommend.Version: 5.18.0

I tell everyone about this appSimply incredible literally HUNDREDS of free workouts from the 5 minute quickie to the full hour blast, from beginners to advanced and everything from yoga to hiit to dumbbells to body weight. All quality high production value videos and instructions too. Would take you two years to get through the lot. All 100% free..Version: 6.47.0

Well worth the downloadHonestly massive props to Nike for their app. I was absolutely so surprised to see an app that guided you through exercises for free. This is EXACTLY what i needed to start my journey to becoming fitter and healthier :).Version: 6.28.0

Best fitness app everBest app ever!!! Love that it’s free and has so many different workouts!! Best app I have come across other apps are boring because they cost so much and only have one or two workouts unless you pay. This app will actually keep me enthusiastic about getting fit! 3 days in a row I’m looking forward to my workout tomorrow !!.Version: 5.6.0

Amazing app for workoutsI have been using NTC app for years now to supplement my training. It’s awesome! Only thing I would love to see is being able to play playlists on it, not just shuffle library option. Fingers crossed that might come in the future!.Version: 5.18.0

I can count on one hand the number of apps I’ve reviewed on here but...I can’t stop telling people about the NTC premium content so I figured maybe I should tell the Internets. I have had NTC for years and have always appreciated what was on there (for free) but they were never my “go to”. I am currently on my 6th time through the Burn program with KG and let me tell you, it has changed my life. Might sound dramatic but honestly- 7 months ago I was in constant pain (lower back and sciatic), couldn’t sleep because of it and was starting to consider the possibility of surgery. 3 weeks into the program I felt more relief than I had in years. KG works the heck out of your core- giving you the same cues and instruction you would from a personal trainer (or even physical therapy in my case!) and tones the rest of your body as well. I am pain free for the most part, a whole size smaller and the healthiest I have felt in a long time. Premium content is worth EVERY PENNY. Sign up for it. Just do it. 😉.Version: 6.6.0

Simply the bestThis is the most encouraging, well described and varied self workout app. Something for every one and great how it provides easy to understand instructions which add to better technique..Version: 6.9.1

Really great App!This app is really well done. With me being very self conscious in the gym and not knowing how to lift or twist properly, this app helps me guide through workouts that fit my pace and fitness level. It is easy to handle, easy to follow and has a good range of different workouts. It being free is even better as I feel like most apps just want to cash in on people as most feel lost in the gym. So thank you Nike!.Version: 6.6.0

Sometimes freezesI love this app and it is amazing but one thing I would like improved is that it freezes on my phone sometimes. The phone is not old so I don’t think the phone is the problem. Please fix and it will be such a good app and I will keep using it. Keep it up!!.Version: 5.17.1

Fantastic appWas a godsend through six months of lockdown, and I’m still using it. My only suggestion would be to add an individual equipment available option in the workout search (you can select what you have available when doing a plan, but not for individual workouts outside of that - instead it’s just No Equipment, Basic, or Full Gym). Would also be great to be able to search within saved workouts, or arrange them by length, focus etc. Otherwise absolutely no complaints - have recommended it to so many people!.Version: 6.18.0

Challenging Home workouts don’t feel lonely.I’m a professional performer and have little time to get to the gym from my location. Working out at home I feel this app gives you choice, great targeted challenges and the ability to see your progression. I’ve been using it for years and it’s always great. Highly recommend for any level..Version: 6.10.0

Great appI love this app so much. The workouts are flexible to my ability and the amount of equipment I have available. But I think a cool addition would be if users could make their own workouts, by adding certain exercise moves, like adding sit-ups, adding pushups to create our own personal ones. Because for me I am still healing for a broken tail bone and most of the amazing workouts include sit ups and crunches and they are really painful on my tailbone. So making my own workout would be helpful in being able to add exercise I love and removing sit-up or any excessive which put strain on my tail bone.Version: 6.19.2

Great app despite crashes and wipes all the timeLove this app. Adds so so much value but have had really frustrating issues in the past with my plan disappearing (see earlier review below). Hoping this doesn’t happen this time around. Was loving this app. It made my workouts so much more enjoyable and was really motivating. I was on day 23 out of 28 and killing my plan. But it kept wiping, as if I never had a plan. It would then reappear but now I can’t even log into the app. App support is extremely hard to find. I’ve deleted and downloaded several times and having had to improvise a few times already since I started using the app in May I’ve now spend the best part of an hour troubleshooting on my iPhone and I’ve missed my workout for the day. Extremely frustrating. Sort it out Nike..Version: 6.3.0

The Perfect Fitness App!I started using NTC a couple of months ago at home when the gym temporarily closed. I downloaded a few other similar apps to use, but the Nike app has had everything I’ve needed. From basic to advanced, short to long, no equipment to fully geared up, cardio to yoga, working all the different muscle groups, the NTC app means you never have an excuse to miss a workout. Although the gyms have now reopened, the NTC app is going to be a permanent part of my fitness plan from now on. Highly recommended!.Version: 6.11.1

Almost perfectI’ve been using the NTC app for the last three months since the covid19 lockdown started. The premium content has been really great; they are very high quality videos with easy to follow format, with incredible instructors. I finished The Breakthrough Challenge and just started Kirsty’s Ignite & Inspire program. I also try to fit in a yoga session everyday. Alex Silver-Fagan is an amazing yoga instructor and her voice just calms and makes me at peace. Kirsty’s workouts are so hard but her energy really is infectious and gives me the push that I need through working out by myself. Now, there’s only a few things that I really wish this app provided: 1. Ability to cast the video to TV or an external monitor 2. iPad app. I’ve been using the app on my iPad and just expand it to fit my screen but I wish there was an actual iPad format for this app. 3. Turn off the useless notifications like activities completed, new messages etc. those red dots are annoying and distracting IMO. 4. Ability to do more than one program at a time. I was hoping I can pair Kirsty’s program with Betina’s strength or Alex’s yoga program, but it only lets me do one at a time. I kinda understand that each program is supposed to be like a lifestyle commitment thing, but I don’t use any of the other things like nutrition advice in the program. I think something like yoga program and a HIIT program goes well together. This is a bonus not a must though..Version: 6.10.0

Please add more Yoga sessionsI started to do yoga using Nike training. It was of great help for me to get into yoga training which lasts for more than a year now. The yoga sessions available, however, are limited. After I have repeatedly exercised all the sessions there, I got bored with repeating the same training and started to use other yoga apps to continue my exercise every day. I would love to come back to nike training for yoga practice if new sessions are available!!! Please consider this request and make it happen! Thanks 🙏🏼.Version: 6.7.0

Fantastic appSo far I got fit enough to run 10k comfortably and lost 8kg. But like all things when I stopped using it I got fat/unfit again. This time I endeavour to do better. I like the app because it is easy to use but there is complexity to the range of workouts and it adapts to your workload..Version: 6.18.1

Great but could be betterI've been using the app for years now and I recommend it to everyone. The filters and variety is great. I do use it on an ipad but it's disappointing that there's no ipad-specific interface yet. I would also appreciate a more personalized experience like the option to save workouts into different groups/lists (instead of just having one "saved" list). It would also be nice to write some notes for myself about what the workout involved, my personal experience/reflection of it which I could look back at when deciding which workout to do. Something interesting in keeping up a workout routine could also be the option of a customized program, one where I set which workouts to do and when. Or maybe also a more automated one that recommends which workouts to do based off which I've already done. What about downloading/saving certain videos for offline use for when internet is bad/inaccessible in the gym or workout space..Version: 6.41.0

Plethora of challenges - wish it sync properly to Apple HealthI absolutely enjoy all the workouts and trainers on the NTC app. I love the wide variety of workouts and being able to search for ones based on different levels of intensity and experience. I’ve completed multiple programs already, and collections - each with their own set of features and challenges. Not only have the workouts been great, but the additional information provided, like nutrition, mental health, meditation, and a focus on recovery have been instrumental in changing how I view exercising. As for the drawbacks? It never syncs properly toApple Health. It duplicates the workout where one of them gives me credit for time, but has zero calorie burn and no heart rate data, and the other gives me credit for time and heart rate, but then grossly exaggerated the calorie burn to be in the thousands range. However it does record data correctly for its own app. It just doesn’t seem to be able to write data into Apple Health accurately..Version: 6.30.0

Best Workout App!!I love this app so much! I’ve tried other workout apps, and unsurprisingly, they don’t even come close to touching the excellence of NTC. I’ve been using this app since 2014 & it continues to get better with each update! It’s like having a pocket personal trainer with the guided workouts & especially with the training plans. My only issue: I have incurred two knee injuries since downloading this app & there is no pause button on workout plans. It’s very discouraging when you’re on track for 5 weeks & the app continues processing your last weeks like you just gave up. I also wish that modified plans / exercises were available for people who have dealt with common injuries (such as modified moves for squats/lunges). These preferences have not affected the rating I’d give this app as they are personal requests that I have as a result of injury (despite my opinion that injury is a thing that most athletic people experience at some point of their life, even if it’s just a pulled muscle)..Version: 5.11.0

First day of the rest of your lifeThis app leaves all excuses at the door. I have been using it for YEARS and it never lets me down. Free PT sessions with tracking and encouragement - it’s great. One thing that might benefit it for the home workout is ‘better at the basics’ like providing advice on how to do a squat properly, how to position pelvis during stretches, when to practice breathing. Download it today and just don’t think about, just do it (pun not intended) every day and in 1 week you’ll feel stronger, 3 weeks you’ll notice body changes, 6 weeks others will notice and by then it’s become a habit!.Version: 6.9.2

Good appI kept putting off buying the premium version but I finally did and am thoroughly impressed. The workouts are way more intense and I definitely see better results now. I know people were upset about it not being free, but you’re getting a lot of programs at a discounted price in comparison to joining a gym where you’d be paying almost 400 for the year so you get your money’s worth. In addition they give nutritional information that complements the workouts that you’re doing. I’m surprised that people find that bothersome. All in all you’re getting your moneys worth for great sessions. I recommend that if you do get the premium version, get the year because you do save more than paying monthly. *Edit* It’s still good, however the app doesn’t properly track the amount of calories burned. So it’ll say I burned about 250 but once my workout is done it will say I only burned like 140 or even 45! Please fix this glitch. Ive learned that exited the app mid work out and continuously going to activity app tracks it properly but it’s still inconvenient as hell..Version: 6.8.0

Workouts are amazing, app not so great!I am really enjoying the workouts. The instructions are clear, the videos are clear and there is enough time to get into the next position. Very good. Things that are annoying.... plans! I am currently doing my first plan. You cannot edit your schedule across weeks so I wanted to move my Sunday workout to Monday, but I couldn’t find a way that this was possible so I thought I will just do Sundays workout on Monday anyway... but now you can’t select Sunday’s workout!! Very irritating. There is not search bar so I can’t even search for the workout I was meant to do..Version: 6.10.0

Love the app; one suggestion—I love this app for quick and dirty at-home workouts. However, it needs a “My Workouts” feature or something similar where you can save your favorite workouts, or a tab where you can go to see the workouts you’ve downloaded or just the ability to “favorite” workouts. Surprised they haven’t come up with this feature yet. It’d be a lot easier and less time consuming for me to find a workout to do if I could save them under a tab or even on different lists. I think it’d be great if you could create personalized workout lists, like “Workouts to try” or “Cardio”, or even if the app had those lists or features built in somehow. Maybe they have something like this in the Premium version that I don’t know about; if they did, it’d be incentive for me to buy it (if only it were a one-time fee and not one of those annoying monthly subscription fees...most of us are already paying for a gym)..Version: 6.6.0

Nike empowermentBy far the most incredible app. Have used for years, don’t go the gym ever and love working out with Nike training club. Searching by muscle workout type, workout length and with or without equipment is fantastic. The voice over and videos also help me refine my workout like having a personal training. I love the range from moving to yoga or Pilates into cardio or strength. Couldn’t give more praise to Nike for this app..Version: 6.11.0

Good, but some “bugs”I love this app, I’ve been using the Bettina Gozo program, and am loving it and her. My only complaint is that I have a couple of times exited out of the app accidentally, and when I go back in to it, it wants me to start that days workout all over again. It seems any progress I had as far as calories burned (from my Apple Watch) is gone. I did this today, and had to fast forward the video back to where I was and pick up from where I was. Also, I went into the activity app and the workout did even register, which is slightly frustrating, from a tracking standpoint. Nike, this app is great, but please make it so that you can resume and not loose all of your data the moment you exit out mid workout! Update April 2020 Still using the app on a daily basis but it seems to be crashing a lot lately while browsing workouts. It’s a little frustrating to find a workout and then have the app crash and have to go and set the filters again to find it. Please fix!.Version: 6.10.0

Great workout library, but tons of app bugsI’ve been a user of this app on and off again through the years and I keep coming back to it because it motivates me and pushes me to get a sweat in, without being intimidating like a personal trainer or finding workout buddies. But, recently I have started again and been wanting to get “wedding ready”; but every time I start a workout plan and I choose the six week plan, after completing three workouts of that plan, the plan disappears from the “my plan” section and I have to start the six week plan from scratch. Maybe Nike is finding a way to reset my start date and make me get more workouts in, like when a trainer says “one more rep” but they end up lying and start your set all over again? But it’s becoming frustrating and I might give up on sticking to a “plan” and just manually select a single workout when my little chubby heart desires. If the app stability and the bugs from the plans can get fixed, I would scream from the top of the Salesforce building about how great this app is..Version: 5.17.1

Excellent fitness app!I’ve been using the Nike Training app for almost 2 years and it has made a significant difference in my life. I also use or have used other free/semi-free workout apps such as Adidas Training, Pumatrac, Asics Studio, 8 Fit, Down Dog HIIT, FitOn, all of which are good to very good apps, but none are as organized and comprehensive and complete as the Nike Training App. The app is very easy to navigate and the workouts are well thought out and organized. There is a multitude of variety-yoga, stretch, HIT, strength, trainer led, whiteboard, non-trainer, weights, no weights, etc-of the apps I have used, Nike really has the most variety of workouts so that I have never been bored. Also, having a Apple Watch helps as the app works seamlessly and well especially compared to the other apps, some of which do not work with my watch. Lastly, what sold me the most was Nike’s decision to make the premium portion free-it made me a bigger Nike fan than I already was before!.Version: 6.26.0

Good company, great appI started using this app consistently when COVID hit and I no longer had gym access. They made their premium content free, which made me all the more inclined to stick with it. Their premium content alone has saved my health and fitness routine, without it I would not have found a program to consistently stick to. But all the while I have been anxious for the day they would take their free premium content back and make it a paid subscription again. To find out today that they will keep their premium content free indefinitely was a huge sigh of relief, and an even stronger motivator to stay committed. Now, I can visualize my fitness future. I greatly value a company that proves their ethos with action and not just lip speak. Thank you Nike for making it so easy for your community to stay healthy and committed! As for the workouts, they cannot make it any easier. You can filter my body part, workout type, instructor, workout length, equipment vs no equipment. You can save favorites (one suggestion to Nike would be allow us to create separate folders to save favorites to). You just hit play and the (mental) work is done for you. Its the best. I’ve tried other competitive workout apps as well and nothing quite compares..Version: 6.12.1

Your Own Personal TrainerI have always wanted a personal trainer but unfortunately not been able to afford one. This app is a life changer. It plans weekly workouts for you in relation to you and your own personal goals. I use it along side Nike Run Club and my weekly runs and workouts are compiled into one easy to use programme - the two apps work seamlessly together. The interface is so easy to use. It’s visually stunning and the videos that talk you through each exercise really do make you feel like you have your own personal trainer..Version: 6.10.0

Crashing Non-Stop on IPhone XI love this app, I’ve always managed to find something that suits me, even thought I am pretty fussy about workouts. I’ve been using it for about 3 years now on and off. However since last week the app crashes. I’ve tried everything for deleting the app, re-installing it, restarting my phone, wiping my phone and re-setting it (a lot of effort for just one app to be honest) and whenever I click on the app, I get to the home page where it asks me to choose how many times a week I workout..and then boom it closes on me. So frustrated and really annoyed I can no longer access this app..Version: 5.16.0

Good... BUT inaccurate of recording of workouts on Apple WatchThe functionality and user-ability of the app is excellent. The exercises are great, the app is well present. The only thing that lets this app down is the inaccurate data recording for workouts and calories burned on the Apple Watch and/or activity app. If you leave the app by receiving a call, or minimise the app via the control centre on the watch OR the iPhone, it stops the recording of your activity in terms of calories and workout information the Apple Watch. You also cannot do workouts straight after each other, it accumulates the calories from the last workout into the next one when recording the workout. I have to close the app down and wait a few minutes before doing another workout. Please fix the data recording for Apple Watch users. If you leave the app open for days or leave the app to answer a message/call or use the control centre, it inaccurately records the data. Please please please fix..Version: 6.10.0

Great but annoying bugThe Nike training app is great. It's free and great quality content. I like the approach of having either follow along or whiteboard style hiit workouts. The trainers are great and as long as you bring the motivation this style of fitness app can take the hassle out of programming your session. There is now a great feature to schedule your workouts. This can be viewed from a Nike widget. But it's buggy. If you are in a workout and leave the app to change music or take a call then press the widget session it will start the whole workout again. It would be great if it could ask you if you want to return to the current without or start a new one..Version: 6.31.0

Great app for freeI’ve been using this for about 4 months now using mostly the basic and full equipment strength workouts. The workouts are well put out together and for free it’s hard to beat this for value. Things I’d like to see to make it even better include the ability to sort your favourites, filter by exactly what equipment you have, a record of how many times you’ve done each workout and how long it took you (I find it takes me a bit longer than their stated average on most rep based workouts)..Version: 6.26.0

Please Keep the Premium afterI’ve used Free version of NTC on and off as it has a good variety of workouts and I like incorporating different styles into my routine. Now with the “stay at home” challenges facing us, I’m doing all my workout home, so I needed a bigger collection. NTC at first wasn’t my go to since there’s another free app that has all variety of workouts for free and I could rely on that better as my number 1, but now that NTC has made their premium plan free during this time (which is a very nice gesture), I am using it as my number 1 option and loving it! I really hope they keep it free for long, as the paid version pushes away many of us simply since there are many alternatives for most people that are either free or included in their daily gyms they attend. But a free NTC is very attractive and helpful in motivating more workout from home. Thank you for making this available for free during this time and hope it stays that way for long!.Version: 6.9.1

Fantastic app, Some issuesI really think that this is a great app for all ages and it is also amazing because it is free. Although, one thing that did annoy me was that I wanted to work on my upper body specifically, but had no equipment. Because of this, all of the workouts that would have benefited me required even some minimal equipment like dumbbells. So I have a limited amount of workouts I can do. I would honestly give this app a ten out of ten if there wasn’t this issue and I know that it is also a bit of my fault but I would have liked to have seen a few more workouts that don’t need equipment and are more focused on certain parts of the body. Thanks, hope Nike takes this into consideration..Version: 5.18.1

Great app, can be improvedI like training with the app because it has varied workouts and you can easily change the days you are actually working out. It would be great if you could actually lock the phone and the time kept running so that you actually know how long it takes you to finish the workout. So far, If you lock your phone the time stops (workout pauses) so you would need to have the phone always on and in the app, which can drain your battery.Version: 6.22.0

Great toolAwesome! I can work out anywhere Great range of workouts to suit everyone, also add friends to hit targets together I live the running warm ups and cool downs also yoga💕.Version: 6.26.0

It is fantasticI started off doing the beginner plan, after completing this, I have moved onto the lean fit plan - the difference in my fitness level since starting is really impressive, I walk the dogs faster with a stronger walking pace, I run up the stairs like it’s nothing, I am stronger and my core is hard. I haven’t lost any weight, because I find I’m really hungry after doing the workouts most days and I pretty much eat what I want most days - if I was to be stricter with my diet I’m sure this would have helped a lot with weight loss too as it works every part of your body and builds a decent sweat, I will add in a healthier diet when I’m ready!.Version: 5.18.1

Loving it so far!Only done a couple of workouts so far, but loving the app. Also love the fact that it doesn’t have any in app purchases that limit your use like other fitness apps. And love the variety from yoga to strength training. Hope to keep on using for a long time to come!.Version: 5.8.0

Great app for anyone and any levelLet me start with thanking Nike for making the premium a free service during this COVID-19 situation. I was skeptical before using it. Being locked down at home and I gave it a try and I realised its structured well to cater for people with all fitness level and with or without equipment. I recommended this to my friends and they all are enjoying it as much as I do. We actually do it as a virtual group at the same time. 1 improvement (hence 4 stars, its actually 4.75 stars from me😊) and 1 feature request from me. Improvement: the beep sound at to end a exercise needs to be more loud, like a bell. Its weak and I miss it with the background music. Feature request: A hosting session and friends of the host who are NTC premium members to join the session would be absolutely great. Nike will get more subscribers and generate revenue with the premium subscription..Version: 6.10.0

One of the best free workout apps and it’s FREE!!!With all the restrictions to go to gym and workout options being limited this app provides the best alternative to keep you working out at home or any place you can work out. It’s free and gives you options to workout according to muscle group, with / without equipment , intensity levels. Just simple and amazing and guess what Nike also gives discounts and badges to keep you motivated through and some really good articles to keep you motivated. I used multiple apps to train and this definitely beats the others out there hands down as it’s free and no need to upgrade for full access.Version: 6.18.0

LndnUsing the app since 2014. Fav workout app. Love the programmes and finally with the new update I can simply edit my schedule! Still ->please find a way to suspend a program for a given time like a week or sth as if u r travelling u might not have the chance to do your workouts as set in your original plan. Also it is very easy to mess up when you just paused your workout to instead of continue you tap the stop workout button. I did this 3 times in 7 weeks... and I had to restart my workout cuz of it. Pls place it somewhere in the corner so it is not too close to the continue link. Thnk u for including several yoga workouts! I like the new design and the overall upgrades..Version: 6.7.0

Great app but needs workThis is a fantastic app, I’ve only been using it since Wednesday 2nd January 2019. I’m currently using the 2 weeks plan and or just got onto my first 30 minute workout of the week and yet again, the Apple Watch Activity app doesn’t recognise my proper heart rate and Calories burnt. On the NTC app when I finish the workout (and when using the Apple Watch during workouts) it says my calories and heart rate. Today calories was 234 and my heart rate was 182 max. But when I finish the workout the Activity App says 0:00 High Intensity Interval Training, has added no active calories and says that the Apple Watch couldn’t make a good enough reading to detect my heart. All other apps are use are absolutely fine. It’s just NTC, maybe a problem someone can look at. Apart from that, the app is fantastic! :).Version: 5.18.0

Review for Nike AppWe think it was a great workout when we did the “Full body hustle”, it was really challenged and it was great for all of us to connect as friends. It was very based on more leg exercise drills than upper body. I believe that it made my body move and I didn’t find it like I had to do it. I really found it enjoyable. They should of been more clear when their were rest in between each exercise but overall it was a good workout and I would do it again..Version: 6.34.1

Glitch?I love this app a lot, but one day I accidentally deleted my plan, and then I logged out to see if my plan might come back, and all my workouts I did on that plan including extra ones and all my minutes were gone. ( I had 240 minuets of workouts ) instead the app now said that I started a new plan, did only 3 workouts, and completed it. In October of 2017. Not only did I not get the app then, I have never done that plan and those 3 workouts. I am very disappointed to see all my progress loss, and although I very much enjoy all the workouts and the style of the app, I hated to see all my activity be ‘ Thrown in the garbage’ I jus want to know if this is a glitch, and if you can some how reverse it. However this won’t stop me from using the app, I would even recommend it. The only thing I worry about is my experience happening to other people. Thanks if you read my review, and if you are on the brink of getting this app, you will in no way regret it :).Version: 5.13.1

Awesome free workoutI absolutely love this app. I can’t believe it’s free! So great to take anywhere with you (especially on holiday) and great because you have so many choices/levels to pick from. Best fitness app I have found!.Version: 6.5.1

AmazingThis app is helping me get in shape and feel 100 percent better with my body..Version: 5.6.0

Great workout appI use this app in conjunction with the Nike+ Running Club app to include cross training with my running training and I find it very good to use. There are a wide range of workouts to choose from depending on your level of fitness, the time and equipment you have available. I enjoy it immensely and the routines are great and give you a great workout with instructions throughout the set to ensure you are performing the moves correctly and the video that accompanies each move is also helpful. The fact that it is free is an added bonus..Version: 6.28.0

Great changes! It’s been a while since I’ve used the app but I’m glad I’ve come back to it because the improvements are awesome. I like how you don’t have to click on the video to see how to do the exercise. Being able to continually see it means you can check your form as you and not start and stop. Also finding a much larger range of workouts to suit the short amount of time I have between baby naps..Version: 5.8.0

Brilliant app for anyone to useI started using this app at the beginning of Feb this year because I decided it was time to get fitter. I’d never done very much exercise, but didn’t want to go to a gym. The workouts are excellent and you have the opportunity to start a programme of them which is tailored to you, which I did. The only slight downside is that when I try to save workouts to Favourites, it works at the time, but when I log back in again, none of them are there. I’ve now also started using the Nike Run Club app, which is equally good. I would highly recommend this app to anyone, no matter what their level of fitness..Version: 5.12.0

I miss the previous versionI LOVE this app and have been using it for years. But I’m not crazy about this lates version. I liked to see the previews of the exercises in the workouts before downloading them. I can’t seem to do that now. Plus, I don’t like the woman’s English accent. I preferred the other woman’s voice but it seems like there’s no way to go back to that voice..Version: 6.31.0

Really good app…but one thing stopping me using it more often.I live in a shared house and so I’m not comfortable working out in the garden at home. So I go the gym and use the studio sometime for workout like the ones on this app. However, my gym has terrible WiFi connection and even worse mobile signal to use mobile data. So it gets really frustrating trying to do these workout and it keeps buffering. The one simple solution I can think of is to add a download button (or even use the exsisiting “save workout” function) to be able to download the workout on the phone and complete it while offline (or in my case - when WiFi connection is very poor)..Version: 6.32.0

WorkoutAs I have lost in total 268lbs I am always looking for new ways to exercise. So being a Nike clothing fan i downloaded the app. I absolutely love it. Based on the questions they ask they create a plan tailored to suit your needs and ability level. There is a full guidance throughout all the exercises to ensure your form is correct. There is a count down and you can play your own music through the workout. Whilst this is only the first week of using this app, I am already feeling the benefits of the exercise plan created for me. Thank you Nike Sarezah 🙌🏼.Version: 6.13.0

Best app there isTrust me I’ve downloaded about 30 currently. THIS IS THE BEST APP If you are just starting or are at an intermediate level (even advanced!) there is nothing better. Ive has this app since February of this year after getting a new phone and I could not have asked for a better gift. There is something so beautiful when there is knowledge and help that is FREE to use. Now they have the Premium version available, I’ll probably be thinking of getting that soon based off the amazing help they’ve been so far in even getting me started. Start up plan, bodyweight plan, keeping in shape plan ARE THE BEST. Mixture of cardio and muscle building, and truly caring for how and how well you can get your body in shape, working on the whole package as you progress through your plan. I recommend this app to anyone that needs help starting and staying motivated (Since March I’ve worked out every morning) It seriously helps you out. At least it did me! Thank you NIKE Edit: 2 years later. Removed a star because the updates aren’t great unfortunately !.Version: 6.32.0

Great but...This app is honestly my fav workout app ever it has so many workouts and it’s really helpful, but it keeps freezing and it’s really irritating when you need to work out but I won’t let you. My phone isn’t very old so I think it has something to do with the app..Version: 5.18.0

Ends my plan earlyEverytime I am close to finishing my workout plan (2-3 workouts to go) the app ends my plan even though I still have workouts to complete. Please fix this as I feel like I haven’t fully finished a workout plan and I miss out on 2-3 workouts. Otherwose really good app that I love..Version: 5.7.0

I’m a convertFitness is not something I count among my hobbies. However I l have wanted to make exercise a habit in my life, starting with daily hourly walks. A friend recommend this app to me. This is like having your own personal trainer. Love the choice of formats that are available, the countdown feature and love the English accent! I am changing my identity - one workout and step at a time, and embracing the fit exercisy me. I am Hooked!.Version: 6.27.1

Coached training at home! Absolutely fabulousI have been using this app for about 4 months now to help me get back into shape after giving birth to my second child and it has been brilliant as I am seeing the results which makes me even more committed to continue training. Especially loving the amount of various programs to use as i have , and in between rest days I have been using individual workouts with less intensity to programs. I feel I have never been more fitter and stronger, my body is so used to working out at least 4 times a week and demands it 😁😁😁😁😁 I am extremely happy to have found this app & thank you Nike.Version: 6.27.1

The perfect workout appThis app has one of the cleanest interfaces I’ve ever seen. Everything runs super smooth and loads fast. Having to download workouts may seem like a con, but it’s actually great for saving data. Everything of free and there are tonnes of workouts for what ever your needs are. My only problem with out is that the Apple Watch app is kind of useless, but it still is good got tracking data and linking it with the app. Also another plus of that there is 0 Nike advertising built in..Version: 6.7.0

Best circuit app out there - great varietyLove doing my nike circuits! There is lots of variety of exercises, style of workout and length. However I am limited in what I can do because of a back injury so it would be good if there was an option to extend the timeframe of some of them - for instance with the 15-20 min workouts that usually have 30seconds per exercise - it would be good if there was an option to double the exercise time to get a bit more out of it. Otherwise love the app!.Version: 5.8.0

Love this app, but it is becoming less and less appealingI have been working out by following this app for a year. I love it. It has everything that I need and I want. I always recommend it to my friends and family. Please look into the following tiny problem to make it a even better one: 1. The alarm for switching sides is gone, and it is a big bug to me, since I would like to focus on my practice rather than the app screen. 2. The sync between different device and running+ sometimes does work well 3. I logged in my NTC, worked out for almost 4000 minutes, then I restored my IPad, AND everything is gone, Everything is gone! Now I feel like I never work out for those 4000 minutes. But I still love it, so I registered with a new ID and started again. I do wish I could get those 4000 minutes record back though. Thanks! I have to say I love the old version more, the new app changed everything all at once, I wish it had been changed gradually..Version: 5.9.0

BugLove the app but in the last few days there’s been some bug - each time I open the app, a message pops up saying my “Workout Info” setting is off (and it actually isn’t, it’s ON) and asks whether I want to end the plan or shows a button to open the Settings. There’s no way to get rid of this message other than click one button or the other..Version: 6.20

Solve music volume for 5 starsI love your Nike apps, running and training, but I have one issue with playing music. There is no option to control the volume of the music and the guidance voice separately. At the moment music plays fairly quietly compared to the guidance so if I want my music loud, I then get deafened by the voice. My only option is to select the ‘no music’ option and use a separate device for Apple Music, which can be a bit of a faff (I know, first world problems). Please could an option be added for the volume of the guidance voice, this would make it amazing!.Version: 5.16.0

Really worth itIt’s the only workout app that 1) you don’t need to pay for crappy premium 2) is actually enjoyable and motivates you to do more workouts 3) suits your style, because I want to be a boxer, they’re tons of boxer lessons I can take, and they’re are only 20 minutes! 4) I’ve seen a massive difference in my core strength, biceps, triceps and upper body strength 5) you burn so many calories per workout 6) so much better than these other apps where you need to get premium to do the actual courses Really good app, download now.Version: 5.18.0

Only thing that motivated me to startThis is the best workout anything I’ve ever used! I was becoming more out of shape than I’ve ever been. I saw that this was rated highly and that it was free- the challenging videos, supportive trainers, the ability to play your own music, the different kinds of workouts (yoga, strength, cardio, stretching etc) so that I can take care of all parts of my body have encouraged me to work out more than o ever have in my life! Even more than when I was in college to get a dance degree. I am feeling so much healthier already after working out about 6 or 7 weeks- and I actually look forward to workouts because they feel so good now- where they used to be a chore that I hated. I liked Nike before but now I love them because of the power they’ve given me to take my life back. The workouts have also given me energy to get my life together- be a better wife, clean the house more, and take care of myself. Thank you Nike!!!.Version: 6.39.0

PersonalisedI love this app and how there is programs that effectively track your progress and adjusts accordingly. Would recommend it to anyone who wants to do a workout, especially if they don’t have any equipment. They make things easy to follow and even though one day you might push yourself to the limit, they account that with a day of relaxing, flexible yoga, where it is still hard work but it helps your muscles relax and stretches them..Version: 5.18.0

Perfect appI have looked around for so many apps and then this one showed up. I love it completely, not only is it free, adapts to you personally, doesn’t have premium pop ups all the time but it also talks you through the exercises! This is the first app I have ever reviewed but it is totally worth it! As a teenager this really has helped to stay fit, while being enjoyable. I will definitely be recommending this to my friends!!.Version: 6.10.0

Good, needs iPad app.I’ve used the NTC app on and off for a couple years. The Nike running app has also been a staple on my phone since iPhone 3G. It’s quite a surprise that in so many years they still haven’t made an iPad scaled version. I personally prefer to use my iPad for workouts at home or while traveling for work for the bigger screen. All the workouts are quite good as well, though it would be nice to see more non-equipment workouts and focus on conditioning and recovery for common problem areas such as neck, back, and shoulders..Version: 5.16.0

Perfect App for busy people ⭐️ x1000I couldn't be happier with this FREE app, I love that NTC has now teamed up with headspace who practice mindfulness and also that I can pair up the Nike running club to keep track of cardio and strength in one place 😊 I get to workout out at home while my daughter naps, or I used to use it while studying so I didn't have to stray far from the computer or you could anywhere really! I Super highly recommend this time savvy perfect app! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️.Version: 5.7.0

Perfect training partner!I was thinking of purchasing a paid subscription to a fitness app but was encouraged to try the Nike Training Club first and I’m so glad I did! The broad range of exercises make it easy to choose something targeted for specific body areas and time available. They are explained and illustrated well and the plan function is a cool way to put it all together into an individual program. Thank you Nike for gifting us this wonderful app!.Version: 6.18.1

Awesome Fitness App! Thank you!Amazing app! I have looked around for so many Apps that help with fitness or nutrition. Nike Training is the first one I have found that not only is tailored to suit your ability, fitness level, strengths and what equipment you have at home, but it is also free! I have had three knee reconstructions and haven’t done any fitness in over two years, so instead of going from zero to flat out straight away (like most fitness apps) It slowly builds it up to suit you. The first exercise I did was 6mins, but it made me work. I can’t just skip out on exercises, because you have to play them and finish them to get them ticked off, this provides you with how many workouts you have done and what your time was to complete them compared to other people around your age. It also talks it through it with you, (you can change this in settings) but this makes it seem like a personal trainer and it helps to make me more motivated during the workouts! Thanks Nike Training! Finally getting on top of my fitness again..Version: 5.13.1

Perfect to balance out run club!I’ve yet started using nike run club and these non-run training days are definitely helping without having to get to a gym!.Version: 5.18.1

Almost perfect but use DND!This is an extremely good app and delivers if you want to get fitter, lose weight or maintain your physique. Challenging and smart enough to adapt workout intensity and difficulty as you progress. My biggest complaint is that it can be quite buggy when using with Apple Watch, the same as the Nike NRC app. If you pause it during a workout, which includes a message or call coming through on your phone, it does not register the workout correctly which is nothing short of devastating when you’ve just knocked yourself out working hard!! Looking online this has been a problem for ages, please fix it! There are other occasions when Apple Watch does not start recording straight away and only kicks in after 10 mins and sometimes does not transfer calories burned into the app. Again, very distressing when your trying to concentrate on a workout and should be fixed by now. It would also be nice to be able to change the volume of music separately to the instructor’s voice. Overall though this is an amazingly good app for fitness, I would recommend but put your phone on DO NOT DISTURB until the bugs are fixed. In addition (2nd October 2019) I’m finding my Apple Watch not connecting with the app after latest IOS 13 update so had to delete and download again after two workouts not registering calories or heart rate. Bloody annoying!!! Would be 5 Stars if they fixed the bugs. Come on Nike!!.Version: 6.4.1

Great workouts...please improve iPad layout!Been using the Nike training and running apps on and off on my phone for many years. They are the main reason I would consider getting an Apple Watch (but haven’t as I like the Fitbit sleep tracking and not having to charge daily). Having got a new iPad, have installed both apps but then was initially disappointed as the iPad layout stayed in the portrait format (and didn’t adjust despite iPad being put in landscape. Was almost going to abandon it but started a workout and then found that the workouts do adjust to the orientation of the iPad which is great as makes them much easier to follow than on a phone. Anything the developers can do to make the app more iPad friendly overall? Otherwise great app! Thank you!.Version: 6.9.2

Highly motivatingThis app has given me inspiration to restart my fitness journey. I like that I don’t need to have all the equipment in the world or any equipment for that matter. I can do it anywhere, including in my living room for those wet, rainy days I don’t feel like leaving my house. I always feel like I’ve put in a hard effort at the end of my workout & like I can power through my day with the added boost from ticking my workout off my list..Version: 6.12.1

Exactly what I WantedI did some research on comparisons of fitness apps. I downloaded this during Covid so I was looking for something that would guide me through workouts at home without a ton of equipment. This app is great! Everything is sorted by difficulty and types of equipment you need. I’m currently enjoying premium for free due to covid so I have access to all workouts it seems. This app also lets you sign up for “programs” which gives you a schedule of workouts for several weeks or longer. They will include extra videos with diet tips or motivation tips. I hadn’t lifted in a while so chose a beginner program that could be done with or without weights. Awesome workouts and a great way to get back into fitness again. I absolutely love Betina Gozo’s classes/videos. I have tried a couple of yoga workouts and I’ve loved them so far. I do wish you could Cast the videos to the TV as sometimes I get tied up trying to position the screen and nail the movements at the same time. Great app, easy layout, delivered..Version: 6.14.0

Loving this!Great app, great workouts and all for free! Love that you can choose workouts or create a personal plan. I usually mirror it to my Apple TV which is a great feature. I would also love to be able to adapt or create my own workouts, this would be a fantastic addition to an already brilliant app! The only thing that is missing is the ability to lock the screen and still continue with the audio guidance and music. I keep my phone in my pocket when I’m working out at the gym, listening to music as I work out and as I usually do the same workouts I don’t need the video. Because the screen doesn’t lock I end up accidentally flicking through the drills or ending the workout. Please add this feature!.Version: 5.18.1

Great - but plenty of use ability improvements i would love to seeStarted using this a week ago and it amazing, great easy... and its free -= so this is not a complaint... but i am finding there’s things that i want to do and it cant just be me... When i do a workout i want to share it... but sending a photo with stickers on isn’t rally what I’m about... could there be a list of the exercises - or even output the list to text for message in whatsapp, messenger, txt or whatever... so that first request to be able to output the text of the workout not the name and the photo. The second item is that when i look through workouts it plays the video but not sound - i really really want to hear and review those important tips when i am looking at a new exercise... hearing them in workout is vital... hearing them before when you are looking at the workout and thinking. -0 i don’t know that one... i think also needed..Version: 6.14.0

A great app, but has an Apple Watch issueThis app has done more good for me than I could’ve ever expected. I’ve been able to start making a habit of exercising, and that’s something I’ve never had before. You’ve done a great job Nike. And yes, while I am a bit disappointed that plans were removed (and wouldn’t be against them coming back), collections do their job good enough. It doesn’t feel as personal, but I at least have to do a set amount of reps in collections, rather than as many as I can in a set time limit like I did with plans. My only issue is that I’ve noticed that my workouts aren’t fully tracked on my Apple Watch. Sure, they’re tracked fully in the app, but not in the Health app I have it connected to, nor my Cardiogram app. I’m not certain if it’s my fault, but I’ve noticed it happening over the past few workouts. I’ll check again after I workout tomorrow, and if it’s my fault I’ll give five stars. All in all, I highly recommend this app..Version: 5.18.0

Accessible fitness from every angleI have always struggled to stay motivated to stick with strength training, favoring cardio exercise. Nike Training Club has given me every tool I need to succeed in becoming more consistent - the ability to filter by workout type, body part, duration of workout, and equipment (or lack thereof) makes it easy to squeeze in a quick 10 minute core workout before bed on the days I procrastinate as well as inspire me to push harder with a range of advanced options on my more ambitious days. I especially love the focus on time exercise is performed rather than reps - this has been an absolute game changer for me as I would always rush reps to be done and now I am more inclined to complete fewer reps with good form since the time limit will move me through at a reasonable pace regardless. I also want to commend Nike for making their Premium content free “for good,” due to the pandemic. It feels so great to know that unlike other offers that are set to expire, I can count on this program being a part of my health plan for the foreseeable future - my kids will be so excited to try the “Fitness Adventure” programs!.Version: 6.13.0

Amazing appI have to admit I’ve had this app on and off for years but never got round to using it, until I recently didn’t resubscribe to a certain fitness app due to being too expensive and not honouring there foundation subscription lifetime discount, so I hunted around and thought, it’s right in front of my eyes, Nike Training is simple to use easy to download & stream exercises, been using 3 months now and it’s better than a paid app, being a lifelong fan of Nike since my first Nike trainers Vandal High featured in the original Terminator I've never looked back, Nike has been my guide with footwear (thanks Nike for supplying me with size uk 12 since 1984) and now it’s guiding my fitness, this app is proof that you don’t necessarily need an expensive gym that your hardly going to use. My suggestion would be the minimal equipment workouts or dumbbells only but my huge recommendation would be Kirsty Godso who has a ton of programs you can follow from beginners to advanced athletes. Keep up the good work Nike….Version: 6.23.1

Great app but needs bug fixesIt's an excellent app but it works up for no reason sometimes like today. The app kept crashing and refused to open. I was eventually forced to delete the app and then download it again..Version: 5.9.0

SO MANY BUGSFirstly, it’s a good app with good workouts and UI and what I really like about it is it includes workouts with free weights so you don’t have to pray that the machines are free or you’ll stuff up your routine. BUT there are just too many bugs. I thought I’d list them as it will be more clear, these don’t happen all the time but I would say more often than not... 1. Apple Watch not syncing with phone app, just keeps saying start the workout on your phone even though I have. 2. Apple Watch app not realising it’s in a workout so it doesn’t look for HR or calories burned. (If I go to the native HR app it will show current HR but not in NTC). 3. Workout time/ HR/ calories burned do not get sent properly to the activity app on iPhone. (I’ll finish a 45 min workout and the NTC workout in the activity app will only say 14 mins.. this happens all the time). Requested features, please add support for changing the music volume on the watch (like the native workout app). Another good one would be to suggest breakfast / lunch / dinner recipes to go with the 6/8 week workout plans. I know the app is free but I think this would be hugely beneficial. I’ll keep using the app because it has one of the best UI’s out there (and it’s free) but everyday I check to see if there’s an update to fix these bugs..Version: 5.18.1

Absolutely my favorite!I can’t say enough for this app. It’s amazing with its variety of exercises, ease of use, it even has some classes (pre-recorded) with athletes and trainers. There are variety of levels and session times which is amazing as sometimes you only have 5-10 min in your morning; right there you can no longer miss to take care of your health anymore. It can’t be any better than that and all for free. You can also do a program which is exercises picked based on your level and your focus and the program could be 6-8 weeks for example. I also pare it with Nike Run Club so some days I do a training and others just a run with it’s sister app. I’ve been using this app for over 3 years now, had tried many others but after I check them I usually remove them from my phone or let them sit unused. If you’ve never tried it, you might want to because you are missing out. Good luck!.Version: 5.18.0

Great, but...Don’t get me wrong, I love this app and I’ve recommended it to countless friends. It’s perfect for someone like me who just doesn’t know what to do when they get to the gym and I’ve been using it for about a year. However, there’s a bug that deletes my workout plan and makes me start from scratch. This deletes all of my progress and loses track of what I’ve done. Sometimes after restarting my phone entirely a few times it comes back, but sometimes it doesn’t and this is a huge demotivator for me..Version: 5.7.0

Fantastic!I’m loving that they’ve integrated Apple Watch with this app - finally! This has been the only workout app I’ve truly enjoyed and has kept me motivated, pushing myself to do better. I have tried so, so many in the past and they just don’t compare to this! Being able to have a workout plan made for me and integrating it with the Running Club app is perfection. I know there’s the option of ‘editing’ the workout plan but you can’t add/remove workouts that you want to do, you can only rearrange the days so saving your workouts is handy. The reason I haven’t given 5 stars is the notifications (I rarely get them so I have to copy the workout plan into my reminders which is time consuming). I’m also hoping that a diet plan feature will be available on the app in the near future - I know this may come at a price but I feel I’d be willing to pay for it since they’ve done such a good job on the exercise front..Version: 5.17.1

A problem with the class format option.I love love love this app, I have actually been using this app for YEARS. It’s brilliant. The updates that they’ve made throughout the years make it my go to app when I need a quick workout .. and it’s been a star during this pandemic and unable to go to the gym. However, they’ve made a update to the app that just annoys me a little, and I’m hoping that the developers can change it. They’ve created workouts with different types of platforms. For example you can have a class format or a blackboard or you can use the option they had before. Which is great, except the fact that the class formats aren’t ideal all of the time, and I wish that I could have an option for when I don’t want a class format, like instead have it as a blackboard work out, or the count down ones of the past. Also the programs don’t seem as tailored to you anymore which isn’t very nice - although I do like the fact that it gives nutritional advice. Still a fantastic app, just really hate the class format option!.Version: 6.18.0

Great, some suggestions.Great app, all of the workouts are very good and I like the structure of them. I think their definitely needs to be some more plans, although I realise that is difficult. I also think, when you are looking for a workout, you should be able to filter the equipment you want to use so you don’t spend so much time looking through workouts. I also think it would be great if alternatives to the exercises were listed for people who don’t have the exact equipment. I know in some voice overs it says that certain exercises can be done with different equipment but it would be helpful if this happened a lot more often. Also, on the non-paid version, the longest workout is 47 minutes. I think there could be longer workouts, for example a one hour workout. I hope you read this and take some of the suggestions into account. Thanks..Version: 6.11.1

Makes me want to quit my gym!!Love this app!! And love the complementary run app. Really enjoying the variety of exercises, the voice over to keep your form correct, and the ability to build a plan. Super motivating and easy to use!!! Learning some new exercises and stretches. So great that warm up, core and cool downs are built into the longer workouts!.Version: 6.4.1

Best fitness app ever, no contestI’ve explored probably a dozen fitness apps and I would say that this is easily the highest quality app I’ve ever seen. Number two on the list seems to be no longer supported. It is called touch fit GSP. It was fantastic as well when it was supported. NTC is so full of good content, of various styles / formats. If you wanna watch a full video, they have it if you wanna watch a blackboard style work out, they have it if you want to watch multiple videos strong into online video, they have it if you want to filter for the right type of work out in the right length and the right side of equipment, you can do that. If you want to stick to a program that is 20 workouts long, and takes you through a thoroughly designed well thought out sequence of workouts, they have it. The one thing that they can improve upon is diversity of instructors. There’s a ethnic diversity, gender diversity, body shape adversity, but there is very little age diversity. I would like to see some older fitness leaders presenting some material..Version: 6.33.0

Content is great notifications are absentI love the content and the interface is decent. I’ve been doing a plan and I wish the workout part of the app would open on a plan if I have one in progress. I also find the notifications reminding you of the plan are really poor. I get a notification the day before and then nothing. After a long day at work, the plan has slipped my mind and I’ve often missed a day and had to double up days! Give the option for more motivation and a push to exercise via notifications!! I also added a friend and so far it seems to do nothing? I’m not getting her workouts in my feed or notifications if she finishes a work out like my Nike+ AppleWatch does. I miss this as, again, it’s a motivator to know my friend is exercising. I want to be able to start a plan with her and go through it together or compete. Something a bit more interactive please!!.Version: 6.3.0

It’s great but...I love ntc app but it has few issues- muting the music from my playlist through the workout, freezing quite often with adding workouts from nike running app and today it kicked me out for no reason when I was adding workout- I haven’t been able to log back since than. Hopefully it will start to work again soon... no idea what to do- deleted and downloaded it again few times but it doesn’t fix the problem. App after opening freezes and than says the action is not possible..Version: 5.13.0

It’s like having a trainer at homeI used to have a trainer that I would go to 3 days a week but due to having to care for a family member I had to stop going. So I’ve been able to work out at home and this app is as good if not better because it really changes it up. I’ve only used this a few times as I was using another app but this one works perfectly with my iPhone and Iwatch so I would really recommend it. Im not in to exercise I hate it so if I can at least do it a couple of times a week anyone can and you can set it with or without equipment and inside or outside it’s very versatile..Version: 5.17.0

Great app!The look and layout of the app makes it easy to navigate. So far, the workouts have been fun and varied. The voices of the coaches are also motivating and soothing. Perhaps I haven’t spent enough time on the app, but I only wish there was a place on your profile where you can save workouts you want to do, including collections, just so they are quicker to find..Version: 6.5.1

Just started using NTC aginHello I’m not usually one to leave reviews on an app but I just wanted to say that I started using NTC again after a couple years and it looks like they’ve completely refreshed the app from what it used to be! I am enjoying using the app at the moment to get some warm-ups and stretches before my run and look forward to building up towards more challenging workouts! While I am enjoying the app, I just wanted to mention some things that I noticed would help me use the app even better! Although I like the option that you get to save workouts, when I go on the workout page it’s just one big jumble of workouts seemingly in order of how I saved them. I wanted to say that it’d be GREAT if we could sort our saved workouts into different categories/folders. It would help me to organize my workouts throughout the week without having to keep scheduling workouts day by day. I could just go to my Monday workout folder and jump in at any time with the set of workouts I want and in the order I want them at the moment! Also it would be great if we could at least organize the order of the saved workouts, to be able to move them up and down the list to help set some kind of sequential list of workouts! Sorry for the long message but just wanted to share in the off-chance that someone will read and consider these suggestions, thank you for the great app! 🙏🏽.Version: 6.33.0

Why no Apple Watch support??I love everything about this app except for one major issue which is the lack of Apple Watch support. It seems so crazy to me, especially considering there is a special Nike edition of the Apple Watch. How hard could it be to add the functionality?? One of the main reasons I bought an Apple Watch was so that I could leave my phone in my locker at the gym, but if I want to use Nike training I can’t..Version: 5.9.0

Best Training AppThe amount and variety of free follow along workouts with form tips make this the best training app by miles. Great UI as well. What would make it better would be the ability to categorise workouts into customisable groups to save particular workouts for my individual goals.Version: 6.8.0

Fantastic!I love this app - the plan makes it easy to stick to your workouts & encourages you to get them in. I have no equipment available and this makes it easy to workout despite that. And it's FREE!.Version: 5.6.0

Still love the original betterI've been using the original app since 2011 and have been a slow adopter of the new one. I just don't find it as easy to navigate and where is the indication of calories burned through each workout? Update: have been using the new app for a few weeks now and appreciate that the videos play along with the counter rather than pausing it. Also am enjoying the plans, however, I still do miss the wider variety of old workouts - many of which didn't not require any specialised gym equipment. The calories burned are only evident after the workout. Edit- after updating to the newest iOS, support for the old NTC app has been withdrawn. I’m really sad about this as not all the workouts have been moved to the new NTC+ app. Please consider bringing it back if possible!!.Version: 5.16.0

Bigger and better than ever!I’m really impressed with how the app has developed in the past few years. I used to use it but eventually stopped because it just didn’t feel like it was the right app for my fitness level everything felt super intense and as a beginner I was a little lost at times. On whim I decided to download it again and it’s immediately obvious that they’ve gotten rid of all the reasons I stopped using it. One being better ease of use for example video and and instructions running on the screen whilst you workout. My favourite new part is the personalised workout plan. I can now be recommended the appropriate activities for my skill and frequency of exercise. Perfect! Keep up the good work NTC team :).Version: 5.14.0

Love the appThis is one of the best workout apps I’ve used so far. Great collection of workouts. Love the variety especially being able to use it at home and the gym. And it’s easy to navigate..Version: 6.17.0
