✓ Too many long annoying adsThey play stupid games with placement of the exit button to trick user into being click bait. Ads are way too long, repetitive and frequent..Version: 5.7.0
✓ Company Motto: Customer problem, not our problemI have tried several times over various intervals to contact this company because, while I've been an ad-free subscriber for years, and current subscription doesn't expire until 2022, that the app on my phone has started to function as if I'm not a subscriber, constantly offers me option to subscribe, and shows the eternal, never ending ads. BUT the company hasn't interacted with me. The "Contact" option in the game just closes the game out, and it does this on all my devices. I tried several times to contact them through their company site, which has a working Contact option, but all that I get is an auto-reply email to contact them through the game, which cannot be done. I think this is the clue to the company culture. The only customer contact they care about is getting paid..Version: 5.6.0
✓ FreeCellHaving a problem on my iPad for the daily challenge saying no internet and there is. This doesn’t happen on my iPhone I can play the daily on this but not the ipad, it’s weird. I have no issues with my internet at Home. Prior to me updating my iPad it was working. So can’t explain the reason why it’s not now. Plus it’s running properly, it’s lagging and I have just updated my iPad so don’t understand what’s going on. Rita 🥴.Version: 5.4.2
✓ Too many aggressive adsThe free version of this game was excellent. I have used this game as brain exercise for several years. The downside is the trend toward the increasing aggressiveness, and frequency of the ads. Now, most game starts require watching 2 ads that have a time delay up to ~30 seconds before allowing it to be skipped. There are of late, new ads that not only have a skip delay - they also open the app store to the advertised app to download. Add to that, a glitch(?) that requires several attempts to close the app store to start the new game. I understand there is a paid version of the app. Downside: the free version stats are NOT transferred to paid version. I am currently trying to find the paid version to see how much it cost - nothing so far. There is a link in support, but it didn’t work for me. Definitely uninstalling the annoying free version. If the paid one cost too much, I’ll go with a friendlier developer..Version: 5.1.2
✓ Ads are getting too much!More and more ads and animations are taking over. Ads are taking 15 seconds and 4 taps to close. Now the animation between every game is taking longer with no way to bypass it. This used to be mature app, now it’s becoming just another annoying user experience. It should be improving, not getting worse. Reply to developer’s response- do your job and monitor which ads YOUR ap is running. Get rid of animations between every game. ✓ Ads try to trick you and have become dishonestAn ad that pretended to be an update and therefore tricked me into downloading an app, ads that put the X in an awkward place ‘forcing’ you to open them in the App Store, ads requiring not one, not two but now three clicks to close, ads with a progress bar which takes longer than the actual X icon. It has become too dishonest and cynical. I’m not sure what the deal with the ads is, I can't believe companies think people just need to be tricked into getting their app, surely? ✓ Classic game, too many adsThis game is just as I remembered playing on my old desktop PC. The game has no bugs and is customizable. There are daily goals to keep the game fresh. However, I deducted stars for the frequency of game ads. Between every game there are two ads, and even when I switch between “random”, “winning deal” and “numbered deal” there are ads. Sometimes the goals require winning a certain numbered deal, and it infuriates me when there is an ad between reading the goal and and selecting a numbered deal because I have to worry about forgetting the deal number. While it’s not a huge deal, it does become annoying very quickly. This is especially true since the game won’t play if you aren’t connected to the internet since this prevents the ads from loading. If there were a paid version I’d happily pay a dollar or two to not have to deal with the stupid ads. Either provide a paid version or reduce the amount of ads..Version: 4.3.1

Every time it comes up, there is no place to click and make it go away. ✓ Obnoxious ads ruin this app.Ugh. The ads in this app are outrageously invasive. Some are loud, obnoxious & unwelcome - especially when you're playing in bed when you can't sleep. With this app, no one sleeps. Some ads don't allow you to pass over them - you have to play the game they're trying to sell you first. Some have an 'X' so you can skip the ad, but it's misplaced so instead of closing the ad, it hijacks you to their website or to the app store & shares your info (IP addy, location & who knows what else) with the advertiser. This is a very lucrative "glitch" because the app owners can report an excellent return on investment to their paying advertisers by showing how many clicks their ads got - forget the fact that we haven't clicked willingly. Ridiculous. P.S. Want to skip the obnoxious ads? Shut the app after reloading the game and open it again. More often than not that actually takes less time to do than to wait to skip the ad..Version: 5.4.0

I either didn’t get a response or I am baffled to how I receive your responses once the job is logged out your website? ✓ Subscription was a deal breakerI liked the app but way too many ads. I was hoping they would add a way to give them some money to get rid of ads, but when they recently added the premium mode that was a subscription model I promptly deleted the whole app. This type of game has no good reason to be on a recurring subscription. —- Later update - I found the game, same developer and same features, as a paid app for $5 which I was fine with paying. If they would have offered the no ads version as an in-app purchase they would have had my $5 months ago. The subscription model on this one just angered me, and finding that it is merely a tax on the lazy makes me come back and lower the rating here. ✓ SolitaireDear Developers, I’ve played your game for years, something I like to do to relax before I hit the hay. Used to be commercials were 5 seconds long and then you could close them, no problem. Now, half the time they crash the game, freezing up my screen. At times when I’m finally able to close the ad the AUDIO keeps on playing, insult to injury. Before you ask, I am using an IPad with 5gig internet speed, as fast as it gets, and yet there’s major LAG. In a simple game like Solitaire, this is ridiculous. Do you really need the worthless rewards incentives like making it through Yosemite or wherever or all the coding that gives the player meaningless ranks and titles, etc etc. For what reason? ✓ Amazing game ruined by bad advertisementsI’ve had this game for a while and enjoy(ed) it a lot. If there was a one-time purchase option I would buy it for $5-$10 but it is not worth paying a recurring subscription price for. I would continue to play the as-supported edition but, while some ads are helpful/interesting, an increasing number have annoyingly small exit buttons, feature fake AppleUI pages to try to trick you into installing other games, unusual exit buttons, overly long skip delays, too repetitive, etc. It is making the game increasingly unplayable which is such a shame for a decent game..Version: 5.7.0

The hints are a little smarter and I like the addition of the “Top Ten First Time Played” message - a welcome new category. There is a significant delay now when starting a game and it will often crash in the middle of a game even when you are just thinking about what to do next. ✓ Good game but no longer as challengingAlthough I enjoy this game a change in February 2022 needs noting. There is an option to generate a “random” game. Until February I think these games were random - I used to lose about 5%. Since February the “random” games are much less challenging - I now lose less than 1% and my average time is a minute quicker. For comparison I have used the Branium version - my loss rate and time are as before. I would recommend this version for enjoyment but do not think you are actually doing random games..Version: 5.8.1

Two games have an event one week and another two games have an event the following week. Ect. Also no 75 games in one event. 50 is pushing the limit. I give up. You win. I have always loved the events but, no more. It was one thing to have 10 or 15 in one game per week but 200 is impossible. And FreeCell events are the hardest ones. 75 in one week? Stupid. Then add 50 each to Solitaire and Castles, plus 25 in Spider. In case you don’t know how to add that is 200 games in one week. Over 28 per day - if you win them all on the first try. ✓ A few adjustments neededThe actual game of free cell is great, I just think the app needs a few adjustments. For one, each time you go up a level the required “coins” you need to get to the next level should be in increments of twenty-five. After playing for a while in the thousand coins needed range, I began to wonder why I would have sums like 233 or 108. I decided to reset my statistics and find out. It’s because of levels like the Hobbyist (starting on level 11) with a needed sum of 678 that these coins get thrown off. I just get bothered by it and would be very grateful if it was corrected. Also, if it could be more like the regular solitaire game when auto completing (each level goes in on its own and all the kings go in last when there are no queens left) that would be great as well..Version: 4.2.3
✓ Some Ads Do Not CloseWhile I expect a free app to support itself with ads, I do have problem when some have no facility to close them, especially when the ad itself is in poor taste to the point of being disgusting. When it happens, the only way around it is to force the app to close, then open it again. My patience, though, is not unlimited so if it happens again, I’ll be removing the app from my device and cut off the revenue channel. No way I would consider purchasing an app that allows that sort of thing and that they are third-party ads is no excuse nor would I ever buy a subscription. On top of that, even with the sound muted, some still play it loudly and there are several that no matter what you say, it takes you to the App Store. Others, when clicked to close, open another version of the ad with the close X in a different location so it’s almost a game in itself about how to close the ads! There are some without any way whatsoever to close them short of forcing the app to close. ✓ Annoying glitchesOverall, this is a great game and my main go-to game. However after several years of playing there are two glitches that have annoyed me. First is the “trophy” award system. Trophies are awarded through the daily challenge portion of the game. However, at least in my case after filling in many months, the only awards that get logged are the first level “copper” ones. After over 624 crowns none of the silver or gold trophies are logged. Second glitch: I am now more than halfway through the second cycle of level titles. I reached the “tableau titan II” level and then at the next level the game bounced me back about 20 levels. I was working to Make it through the “II” title level and now find I was bounced back by about 60 games. I’d like a programmer or tech manager at the company to address these issues. ✓ Fun but oh, those adsIt is a lot of fun and it has recently added some fascinating extra challenges but the ads are atrocious. You can’t do anything without waiting for a raft of ads to load, one after the other and many take more than 30 seconds each. They used to say you could skip ads after five seconds but no longer - and when you can skip an ad, you cop another series of ads all longer and more irrelevant than the last. ✓ ScoringThe game is a little easy for me . So I play it differently . I try to unravel a game by not putting any cards away . My ideal game is to have all 52 cards assembled in suit before you push the complete button . Obviously this takes more time and card moves . This penalises your score ( no big deal ) . I just a though for people who like the game and want to add a level of complexity this is an option , obviously the scoring would née to change to reflect the higher skill involved . ✓ Time to get rid of thisI’ve had this free cell for several years. It’s been my way of unwinding. Really have enjoyed it. But now one of the adds, Lightning Casino, you can’t get rid of. ✓ Multi player game doesn’t work any moreI love this game and have reached a decent level but when I try and earn more points after a daily challenge the first to work but the multi player game doesn’t. I’m connected to internet yet since 2 days ago it says ‘Internet needed to complete the game’ yet I’m connected to internet. ✓ Ads are the worstI have used this app now for more than 3 years. The Ads were fine in the beginning (I honestly am not sure there were ads when I first downloaded it?). Now some of them were extremely inappropriate (I.e. violent) and multiple ads btwn games which were difficult to close and opened another unwanted window for the ad. Also some ads play very loud sounds unexpectedly which you cannot control. Woke my baby or spouse up. I’ll be looking for another app. This one has run its course. To any potential downloader, you can now purchase an option to avoid ads but it’s a pricey monthly subscription. I’d rather just purchase the game. Most of the recent updates were unnecessary and unwanted. I received zero customer service when I encountered an update where they took away a feature. Took them more than a year to put it back. However, in recent years, the amount of ads you have to see in order to play is getting ridiculous. ✓ Mobility Ware Ad Policy DisappointsI have been a Freecell addict from the moment it first came out on desktop computers. It was the first game I downloaded to my first iPhone. I have highly respected and appreciated Mobility Ware’s firm stance on ads that could be dismissed after 5 seconds. Trust me, that is all it takes to decide if I’m interested in the product or not, especially since we see the same ads incessantly. First the multi-tap crept in; we could dismiss the ad after 5 seconds, but then the product screen popped up, 2, 3, 4 times before we got back to our game. Now we are seeing ads that take 15 - 60 seconds before they can be dismissed, and most still employ the multi-tap. It is so annoying, especially when we see the same ads over and over. Guys! I STILL don’t want whatever it is! The days of being able to sneak in a 2 or 3 minute game of solitaire are over, and it saddens and frustrates me..Version: 6.0.1

✓ Good but annoying equallyOverall this game is good entertainment. However there are a few annoying glitches that need addressed. Adverts. The cheapskates amongst us don’t want to pay for the no adverts feature. However when I turn my phone to silent I expect silence. I don’t sleep well and like to lie in bed during the night and play this game. When an advert comes on at full volume it wakes my partner. Very very annoying as you can imagine. Events. When playing an event. Rushing to achieve 75 levels within a specified time. What do you get for it? A badge? Big deal! How about 1000 points as a bonus? ✓ Constantly fixing things that aren’t brokenThey keep strangely updating an app that was great and now is iffy. They added some “badges” and weekly challenges and now there’s an awful little icon in the bottom left corner that you can’t get rid of and is pretty distracting to gameplay. Wish they would give you an option instead of forcing it onto your screen. Wish I could undo the update. Also, a lot of times the ads will get stuck and you can’t get out of them and there are soooo many ads. You have to watch an ad between every single game. And they’re long and not always skippable after 5-10 seconds and if you do try to skip it almost always takes you to the download screen for that app. Plus, how do you turn off certain permissions for this app? They don’t give you that choice either and I can’t see why this app would need access to my contacts and photos. No way to contact them..Version: 5.9.2

✓ This version is not goodI’ve been playing this for years without issues, and now that I’ve updated, it has some major problems. The Wordscapes game keeps coming up, which I wouldn’t mind, except for the fact that once it’s up, there is no way to close it. Sometimes an X pops up in the right top corner, but it doesn’t do anything. The only thing I can do is close the app and restart the phone. I can understand the developers wanting to make money from this very good game, but I think they have gone too far Each advert needs a tiny “button” of low visibility pressed at least 3 times - or more if you don’t have pixel perfect touch. When Changing to a newer device it does not seem to be possible to move your old scores across, which is disappointing. The final straw for me was finding that playing the game hijacks the Bluetooth ability of my new hearing aids, and I object to the idea of paying more over the years than for my office program. Still play occasionally but I have now found an ads free Solitaire instead.Version: 5.9.2
✓ FreezingI have had trouble with this game freezing while showing ads. Third time I’ve downloaded it and it still happens. ✓ Update is badI have been playing for years and enjoying it, but since the latest update, I play one game a day, the Daily Challenge. It’s almost impossible to complete the other challenges because the new update has put in automatically send cards to the table for you. If one challenge is to put 4 spades into the table before any other cards, you cannot if there is another ace showing because it automatically puts that ace in the table. I don’t like it. ✓ Continual events that are getting longerI like this game on a daily basis but the occasional event has now become a weekly or near weekly matter - the only purpose of which must be for the advertising revenue - events used to around 30 levels, that crept up to 50…. And now 75 levels - that a lot of adverts yet as a player we get nothing realistic to show for the support. Please back these events down and bring the number of levels back down. ✓ Good game, pity about the ads!The game itself is very good. I only tend to play enough to complete the daily challenge and level up. The game is then put away until the next day because of the crazy advertising. I have no objection to it displaying an ad at the start of each game but it seems that now more often than not each advert has two screens and a long wait before being able to close each ad screen. Having to watch the same advert 5 or 6 times in a row is also very annoying. Edit: I have noticed the last few days (end of March 2018) a video advert for Instagram playing each time I launch this game. If this level of advertising annoyance keeps up for much longer then the game is going to be deleted..Version: 4.3.0
✓ Ads in Landscape annoying!Great game, and also love the fact that the ads are short, but the most annoying thing is that If you are playing in landscape and the advert is not designed for landscape, it chops off the top and bottom so you can’t see the ‘x’ to close the ad. The only option is to go out of the game and start again. Also, they have many card games, but each one has a separate cost for ad free. If there was a package to remove ads from all of them, I would’ve considered paying for it..Version: 5.5.1
