2Do - Todo List, Tasks & Notes for Negative User Reviews
✓ Such promiseI started using the app this January and loved it. I like the different lists and being able to set default due times to suit me. After learning how to create an in-app password, it synched beautifully, so I could jot things down on my phone when I was out and about, then everything transferred neatly to my iPad. Unfortunately sync is now a Pro feature, leaving me with a semi-functional app..Version: 3.10.0
✓ My Important Tasks are Missing‼️Hi, My repeated tasks are unexpectedly missing (February 2019) since the takeover of new management. I used to love this app, but it’s really frustrating now. Thank you.Version: 3.12
✓ 2doSince I wrote the review below, the app has become ever more sophisticated which may be clever. But now the options are so vast that it is over-complicated. So now I don’t use it at all - I use another. What it needs is a setup menu so you can customise it to provide, from the myriad options available, those options you really need and want, to avoid difficulty in finding what you want in practice. As it is, it actually wastes time. Pity. By far the best app for tasks/to dos. Having tried many others it is way ahead of any competition. It could be tweaked a bit further with a greater range of font styles and sizes. A facility to make quick notes would be good too, but these are details. Buy without hesitation..Version: 3.9.88
✓ Widget is still bugged now and thenHow to fix "unable to load"? Already tried reinstalling..Version: 3.36
✓ Apple Watch Complication Needs Major ImprovementI have been using this app on and off for years but just recently switched to an Apple Watch from a Fitbit. I was really excited to be able to use it directly from my wrist to keep me on task with things I need to get done during my day to day routine‘s. I’m really disappointed in the lack of compatibility with the Apple Watch complications. It is very slow to update, it does not show information accurately, and it seems rather clunky when you go into the actual Watch application. For example, I currently have Aw several tasks due today but my watch just shows “all clear“ instead of showing me the tasks I need to get done. It also doesn’t give me the ability to check mark the bubble next to it to Collett complete. It definitely needs work and if it gets there, I’m happy to update my review..Version: 3.19
✓ Lost my list 😔I just opened my list to add something and it had the number 6 on it. when it opened the list disappeared and I’ve now lost everything 😓 Has there been an update recently? how do I restore to the iPhone backup? Very disappointed right now. I have followed the instructions to delete the trial app and install the pro app, only thing is I can’t find the paid app to purchase in the App Store.. I keep downloading the 2Do app, and clicking on the upgrade button and nothing happens 😔 I’ve spent my Sunday evening doing this which is the last thing I needed to do. I’ve got a list of things to do, funny that I can’t access it 😓.Version: 3.27
✓ Was betterLove the original version of this app, not impressed with the facelift version. Also, lost years worth of data after accidentally updating the app, then switching back to the old one. Asked for support and haven't had a reply..Version: 2.8.35
✓ Not kept up with the competition5 Years ago this app was the best organiser. Unfortunately now due to lack of development (apparently windows app was in the works 5+ years ago for example, and no it’s not here) it’s been wildly overtaken. It still looks good but has the functionality of an app from 2018. I’m going to migrate to a more modern app where I can access my tasks from a variety of platforms. Such a shame as I’ve stuck with this app for a flippin long time. I know the developer is a 1 man band but when the competition leaves you behind, there’s not much for customers to do. Anyway…was great, now kinda below average..Version: 3.35
✓ I have to constantly restart the app for it to work!!!This app doesn’t work properly. For an example I will go to a screen then back to the “Today” screen and it will sown nothing all my today Events will be gone!!! To fix the problem I have to constantly restart the app to show “Today” items and then it works but what a pain!!!.Version: 3.10.5
✓ Poor Usability and notifications failThe user interface is fiddly and unintuitive. I let this slide as the app has persistent alerts (nag mode) which to me is a must have if you have important things to get done (like taking medication). Unfortunately these alerts were disabled without notice after 2 weeks (they're premium features now apparently) and medication doses were missed. If it was made clear this was the case (e.g "your alerts will stop next week - please upgrade now") I may well have upgraded. The way the app operates is an irritating (and irresponsible) disgrace..Version: 3.9.88
✓ Update causes obstacles rather than convenience. The ‘next three days’ list has a header over every note with the title of the list which it’s from, which doubles the amount of space each note uses. So if you want to see all of your notes at a glance, you can only see half of what the app used to allow. Most importantly, when in edit mode and selecting multiple notes to adjust the due date the update reorders your notes dysfunctionally because it adds a ‘start date’ on top of the due date. This means if I have notes due yesterday that I want to make due today, they cannot be sorted or reprioritized with today’s other notes unless I INDIVIDUALLY DELETE EVERY START DATE OF EVERY NOTE I MADE DUE TODAY. The app isn’t broken, just much less convenient than it used to be with these added features which can’t be changed or adjusted in the settings..Version: 3.21
✓ Incomprehensible / not intuitiveThis app sounded so great as it has all the features I want but it just isn’t intuitive at all. I can’t figure out how to do anything and have given up in frustration. I’m good at learning new software and used to to-do apps, so I don’t think this is just ‘user error’ on my part. One thing that would really help is to include a tutorial project. The tour of features at the start doesn’t tell you how to DO anything. I can’t work out what half the symbols in the menus are meant to mean. It shouldn’t be this confusing. Deleted. How disappointing..Version: 3.17
✓ It's good but could be betterFirst of all this is a very good app that pretty much does what it says. It is intuitive, well thought out and has heaps of features.... BUT it is still in beta mode and it appears that fixes are being done on the fly. Major issue for NZ users is that it struggled with MZ being 12 hours ahead of GMT so all to dos are scheduled for a day later when you synch with Outlook. Support from web site poor. If you don't mind the bugs and glitches. Get it. It will be a very very good app when they sort out the bugs.Version: 0
✓ Irritated with syncHad used 2do for years and then I stopped using it when the action feature stopped linking to iMessage. I recently restarted using 2do when I was told this feature had been repaired. I was excited to see a sync that would link 2do on my iPhone with my iPad thru Dropbox (would prefer this to be an iCloud feature). Then last night when I opened my iPad version of 2do it says “sync is a pro feature, consider an upgrade.” 2do cost me $7 at the time I bought it. I believe Sync should be a standard feature just like power windows on a car. Especially when it is not a free app. If this feature could be fixed I would gladly give the app another star. Also if the option to send a message to more than one recipient, along with a precomposed message was added, I would happily give it another star..Version: 3.9.88
✓ Cannot open new versionSomething in new release made app crash entirely. Help!.Version: 3.9.86
✓ Desktop versionGenerally a good app, I’ve had sync issues over the last 6 months which are frustrating as it used to work fine. Biggest issue is the ridiculous £50 cost for the desktop version. The excuse about its a one off and you own it don’t wash I’m afraid. There are other apps which do a good job on ALL your devizes for fraction of the cost. After paying for the premium version for iPad/iPhone being asked for a further £50 is a laugh. I’m afraid it’s time to delete and use one of the other sensibly priced options available..Version: 3.12
✓ Powerful, complex task manger; support?2Do works well. Coming from several apps a few years ago, most recently Things. What I miss is the clean simplicity of Things. 2Do has so many features, and most are there in your face whether you use them or not. They end up being a distraction. That said, 2Do works well. I’ve never experienced any bugs—until now: the widget no longer works. But the app is very reliable. And it’s very flexible. 2Do doesn’t charge separately for iPhone and iPad app, like another to do list. That’s refreshing. Today Widget has been broken for months: “unable to load.” 2Do developer doesn’t seem responsive. Developer is silent on Twitter and very limed contact options. This is pushing me to leave for another app..Version: 3.10.5
✓ Such a good app - the desktop price is sheer insanity!I’m only writing this because I actually think the developers have serious talent and have made an iOS app I truly love. I managed to trial the desktop app which I assumed at nearly £50 was totally unjust, but thought perhaps the functionality would be transformative. Well the desktop app does basically exactly the same thing as the iOS App, but of course being on a desktop you can move around a bit quicker, copy and paste stuff and you have a larger screen. I would have paid £10 maybe even £15 at a stretch. In a scenario where maybe 50 people would buy the desktop app at £50, lower the price to £10 and I reckon they would sell to 1000 people easily. Anyway - rant over, get app, totally unjustified cost so for that reason I will look for alternatives but I really hope they change they pricing strategy and open up to real people. 🙏🏻😀.Version: 3.11.1
✓ FrustratingI really wanted to like this, I've paid for it, and on my mac etc etc., but it's frustrating. I agree the Dropbox thing is clunky and doesn't feel satisfactory or sophisticated. I'm afraid I'm going back to Wunderlist. Update. Well Wunderlist went out of the window as soon as Microsoft got involved so I’ve tried coming back to this a couple of times. I still get the 🤷🏼♂️when I’m using it. Syncing is ok but weak, the app just stops reminders if you don’t use it for a while when dated nagging should be there to stop tasks being cherry-picked. This is a really good app with loads of potential but it doesn’t feel indispensable, it doesn’t stop you thinking ‘There must be something better out there’. Needs more work on it..Version: 3.35
✓ Could b perfectBUT... it needs a customisable calendar, repeating events don't appear until the current one has lapsed (makes planning harder) and when I replaced my phone, it hadn't backed ANYTHING up onto my laptop... I lost everything but the app which reinstalled to the new phone as normal:-(.Version: 2.4.63
✓ Please help!!I upgrade this app and I LOST ALL MY DATA!!! I need it back. Please help!!.Version: 3.14
✓ GoodGood.Version: 3.10.5
✓ Easily the bestThere must be 1000s of 'To do' apps out there, and I have spent a lot of time and cash trying most of them out, normally for a month or so at a time. But this app truly stands head and shoulders above the rest, it's adaptable in every aspect to fill your exact criteria. Don't take my word for it tho, try it and see for yourself how the leading app of its genre outperforms all others. The only element that would lift this planner even higher over the rest is some simple ‘sounds’, just a ‘swish’ when you mark a task as completed, or a whistle etc there’s nothing so dull as completing a task and hearing not even a ‘beep’ when you mark it ‘done’..Version: 3.19
✓ Love the new UI.I came back after learning the new UI on mac and remembered why I stopped using it. Feedback (-): Is there anyway for nested lists / projects? I like to be able to track multiple layered projects. Unless it would be better to layer the sub-tasks or checklists instead? Follow up please 😊. Feedback (+): Thank you for the dynamic font changes. Now I can actually read the text on my iPad 🙌. The dark mode is easy on the eyes too. Fantastic 🔥. None of the other apps I use seem able to handle the levels of projects I have in my head in a concise and aesthetic way. Being able to compartmentalize in layers is very important instead of entire blobs of content that overwhelm you. So thank you 🙏..Version: 3.52
✓ NZ girlLike it, struggling 2 understand some features it's not intuitive, so I'm prob. not making as much of it as I cld be. But it's the best I've tried & I like it enough 2 keep using it:-) wld certainly recommend. But please can the date be shown when looking @ upcoming events, I don't care how many days until event as much as I want to know the actual date the event is happening on.Version: 3.8.2
✓ Horrible UIThe user interface in this app is absolutely shocking. Not just that but it’s not even responsive..Version: 3.10.5
✓ Awesome concept. Big flaws. If you’re super into getting organised this is an awesome app. Overall it’s a good app. I gave it this score because, I have lost such important information because of it. I rely on this app to keep note/ schedule appointments. There is nothing more disappointing than to go on the app and find that through syncing you’ve lost all the information. I use it on my iPhone and iPad. It’s not a seamless sync. I have no idea why it does that but it does. Now I feel I might have to go back to using notes because it’s more reliable..Version: 3.10.5
✓ Subscription crapI bought this app last year to get the “full HD ultra pro version”.... now I get an ad asking for a one time payment of 35% off I can buy the pro version instead of having to do a subscription. Seriously man? I am going to pay a monthly subscription for a todo list? I am so sick of this marketing crap.Version: 3.27
✓ Notifications and sync issuesThis is a very powerful app with a slightly complicated interface so it takes some getting used to. Sometimes I don’t need the complexity so I use some other app that is easier to use. There are 2 problems with 2Do. 1st, unlike every other app it doesn’t sync in the background (despite being enabled in the settings) so if I make a change in another app or in 2Do’s own widget, I have to actually open 2Do to get it to sync. 2nd, if I don’t open 2Do for a few days I don’t get notifications anymore. I have a weekly recurring alarm but it won’t ring most of the time because I don’t use 2Do (anymore) on a regular basis. In other words 2Do is unreliable..Version: 3.9.88
✓ App is crashingMy app has been crashing. It doesn’t load, I see the opening screen and then it crashes. I can use it maybe a couple of times a day. Is it only for a limited number of tasks? I cannot find a way to contact support for any of the apps including iPray pro etc. I was very happy with the app but I am leaving this review in the hope someone sees it and contacts me to fix the error..Version: 3.27
✓ Can’t set datesI have been using this app for some time now across iOS devices. Works fine on the iPad and the synch works ok, although can be slow. However, on the iPhone, I can’t set dates for tasks that I set up on the phone. The date sets up months in the past and the calendar to change or set that is greyed out and won’t work. Reported to support back in April and supplied screenshots as requested, but nearly two months later - nothing. So, I’m looking for a new app..Version: 3.39
