✓ Totally incomprehensibleI cannot find any comprehensible instructions so that I may create my own deck. The instructions on the makers website so not match what is on my iPad screen, so I presume they are out of date. I am disappointed. Hoping for a refund..David JTVersion: 4.49

✓ Don't really like it...It's a good idea and it probably works for some, and I'm guessing it does as it has a lot of high reviews. I personally think it needs work and I don't look forward to using it like I do with other educational apps One issue I have is the app isn't very user friendly and it's only because I'm quite a technically minded person why I was able to use this app, where as someone like my mum or my wife would probably struggle. You can see the the creator of this app has focused his efforts into making this app suitable for his own personal use but hasn't put enough consideration into making this app suitable for all audiences. Also, it has quite a dated and ugly looking user interface. I know looks aren't everything but it helps lol! ✓ Seems good, but lack of iCloud Sync is very frustratingSeems like a pretty solid flash card app, although in my case I just purchased it today. Currently I have no major complaints with this app except one; it requires a DropBox account to sync flash cards across devices, and apparently cannot use iCloud to sync at all. For the price, and considering that one key reason I was interested in this app was because, unlike many other flash card programs on iOS, it does not require an external account, this is a pretty disappointing blind spot in an app that otherwise seems to fully meet my needs. I do not use DropBox, nor do I want to, and it seems odd to require it when iCloud already provides that functionality natively in iOS. Kudos to the developer for most other aspects of the app so far, but please seriously consider adding iCloud sync as an option. ✓ Bug destroyed 166 cards I just createdI generally love Flashcard Deluxe and have been using it for years. But yesterday the app just stripped/deleted the audio and images from 166 cards I created. There’s obviously a big bug here. I created the flashcards using the app running on my M1 MacBook Air. All was fine until I synced to the flashcard servers. ✓ Massive learning curveI actually had to Google how to do the most basic function on this app, create Flashcards. This app is definitely not user-friendly, it’s nice that you can add pictures to Flashcards and not have to pay a monthly fee, this app seems like it’s the only one in the world which does that. I am literally just trying to enter text onto one side of a flash card, and a picture onto the next. I don’t know if this app is just lacking in that basic functionality, but that is just an impossible feat. When you first go to create a new card, a menu pops up with a tremendous amount of options, more than anyone really needs. It seems like on the first Side of the card is the only time when you can add something like pictures or sounds. The only way to access the backside of the same card is through a link from the first side, in the text menu box. Going to the backside of the card does not take you to the same menu, and from there you can only add text. I literally just wanted a flash card app that you could add pictures to. ✓ Needs additional text sizes for classroom / iPad useBought this hoping that I would be able to use it on the ipad in the class room as an alternative to the usual making and laminating of flashcards. Unfortunately it will only allow me to make flashcards using text up to forty points - nowhere near big enough to be able to read from the back of my ESL classroom. Even for personal use on an iPad I found there to be a lot of empty space on vocab cards shown on an iPad screen. I suspect it works well on the iPhone but really some care should have been taken to make sure this app translates well on the iPad. ✓ Doesn’t work with “Always Allowed” in Apple ScreentimeIf you have to have parental restrictions, limiting what apps are allowed and not allowed on your children’s phone, for some reason, Flashcards deluxe doesn’t work. Might have something to do with the name, because it is listed in the “always allowed” section of screen time as “Flashcards” Instead of “Flashcards Deluxe”. I have used this program for years, but I cannot recommend it for use with children since you can’t whitelist it.
