Proloquo2Go AAC for Positive User Reviews

Great app!Thank you so much! As a primarily nonverbal transgender woman with autism, your app has granted me the ability to communicate again after I suddenly and without warning lost my voice at 23 due to extreme post-traumatic stress disorder. Thank you so very much!.Version: 5.5

Awesome!Such a great program, I only struggle to speak for short periods of time so my use is a little different than that of full time users but it’s an awesome tool that lets me be a part of family discussions, ask for whatever I might need and even have preset jokes/phrases to throw into conversation in real time (think “that’s what she said”, “I agree” etc) and it’s so amazing. Took really frustrating periods of time and made it much easier to communicate. Totally love it and would recommend even if you usually type things out and scrape by because once you get that muscle memory you can make sentences so fast. Definitely expensive but if you have the money it’s worth it. I do wish though was a way to customize verb tenses/add more options to a long tap to do things like manually add a “not” option in verb tenses so I could get ‘unmelted’ from a long press on ‘melt’ by pressing the currently non existent ‘not’ button, or add “an” to a long press of “a” rather than being separate buttons..Version: 7.9

😞Recently purchased the app on March 22 and now the app is on sale. Wish I had known it would be on sale in one week. 😞.Version: 7.5.4

Thank you for making this app, it is a Godsend. This helps our daughter out a great deal, thank you. Please keep up the great work!!.Version: 4.2

Regional settingsIt would be nice if there were different options for different countries. Eg the money pictures are american money, so to make it suitable for my daughter I need to find pictures of Australian money and put them on. Little things like that. Aside from that, a great program..Version: 0

Life ChangingI am a verbal autistic and schizophrenia-spectrum college student who is more and more frequently losing speech and has what appears to be progressive cognitive disability. Proloquo2Go has been a life changer. I frequently use it to talk to my friends over Discord by constructing my messages on it and reading replies on a different device. I also use it to talk to my roommates, and I'm slowly getting the courage to use it in more and more situations. Highly recommend, worth every penny..Version: 7.9.3

Fantastic speech synthesiserA great useful app for when I want to make my car, house, video-game-spaceship or aircraft talk, or even just when I lose my natural voice for whatever reason. (I don’t really use it myself for full social interaction, but was asked to test this app years ago for setting up for use by AAC clients. Decided to keep it since I couldn’t find a fault, and made a custom board for myself to give my car, house “A.I.” and video-game BioMechanoid air and spacecraft a voice.) 😊The updates have improved the AAC aspect of the app a lot! Great work, devs! Works perfectly on my tablet. An additional voice idea: Another from Star Wars perhaps? “Darth Vader” maybe? (“Little Creature” sounds like Master Yoda, so I thought perhaps another Star Wars-like voice would be fun) ... Also, some additional voice effects would be great; “Radio/Comms” “Robotic” that kind of thing? Especially being able to add/remove those effects from recorded voices. That’d be great fun..Version: 7.9.4

After my strokes I started using my thumbs for my communication but since I had found Proloquo2GoAfter my 2 strokes I loss my voice and I was using my thumbs for my communication but since my Proloquo2Go my life and my communication skills better. I think more voices would help please the Boston and Cal voices.Version: 5.4

Great AppThis program has been a life saver for my autistic son who is nonverbal. The search option is awesome! This program is set up for his life now and will take him into adulthood. The only thing I think would be awesome is a calendar that was linked up to his Proloquo2Go and a simple schedule keeper. Both handy in the ASD world..Version: 7.2.6

Love Proloquo2Go!Purchased for a different reason than most: to learn Spanish—it seems to work great for that! Love the long-press to get verb tenses and more. Since I’m a visual learner, the symbols for Spanish words reinforce learning. I get the spoken voice for each word and also the entire sentence. Also enjoy Keeble Spanish keyboard as well. If you’re wondering if you can use it to learn another language, I would say yes—get it while it’s half price!.Version: 6.1

Very usefulMy 6yo son has non-verbal autism and we are thankful this app was introduced by his SLP. Now, he can communicate his needs using the app. He constructs sentences and is getting better each day. We are now working on greetings as he is really good at using this for requests. We didn't know that he has a wide vocabulary until he started using Proloquo2Go. We can't imagine not having this as this has become his voice now. We also appreciate that the people in the icons have other skin tones. I recommend this for non-verbal kids or adults who have the dexterity to use a tablet computer as this helps a lot..Version: 7.3.3

A question for iPad Air userHi there, I would like to know how can I lock the the Proloquo2Go app on my iPad Air? For the old iPad I can just Press the home button three times to locked the apps. On iPad Air no home button, so I can lock it. Please help. Thanks a lot..Version: 7.6

I love proloqou2goProloqou2go has helped me alot it helps me talk andnow people understand me.Version: 7.8.1

Good AppAs an SLP, I find this app to be comprehensive and user-friendly. One complaint though, I don’t appreciate being prompted for a review mid-use! This is a paid app designed for use as an AAC device for individuals with limited communication skills. I would not be happy if I was in the midst of a training session with a nonverbal student and had to deal with a pop-up request for a rating!.Version: 6.0.1

App is disabling entire deviceIPad Pro has been disabled. I have had to factory reset and restore entire device in iTunes. Special needs son activates the password window in the settings button. He enters in the wrong password. A new box, prompting him to “ retry” repeatedly pops up until the whole device is disabled. This happens while in guided access. Reached out via email to support several times. Have not heard anything back. This never happened in the iPad Air..Version: 7.1.2

High school userThis user is designed with his IEP goals in mind. Color coded folders to make it easier for others to interact with the user when they are learning where things are..Version: 7.8.1

Mum of non verbal 11 yr oldThis app has changed our life it's perfect on the iPad . Only one issue the iPod version the volume on the voice is way to soft to be feasible if they can fix that this app would be perfect ..Version: 1.8

Essential tool for a non verbal child ✔️Communication is the key to solving frustration and aggressive behaviours. Imagine not having a voice. Give your child one ❤️ It’s worth it! Often costs can be reimbursed by your disability funds provider or augmentative clinic..Version: 5.5.1

 Fantastic in a life altering way!!My 4yr old son has Autism (PDD) and is non-verbal. His speech therapist recommended this app & reviews were very positive. I thought it might take a while to get him to understand the gravity of this application but I was wrong!! He asked me for an apple, his favourite tv show, an egg on toast and clean pants within 10 minutes of picking up his iPod. The joy on his face was priceless and has made a morning that is usually filled with screaming, hitting and frustration go as smooth as silk. Absolutely worth every cent in just an hour of use but check with local support services for carers because we were fortunate to get funding for this amazing application. Thankyou to the producers of this beautiful app, you are making dreams come true!!!.Version: 0

Amazing!!!I was in the process of looking into AAC devices and finding the high cost of such devices to be highly prohibitive and resigning myself that I would never be able to get one for my six year old non verbal autistic son. My son is absolutely obsessed and in love with his father's iphone as we have downloaded educational apps for him which he loves to play as he is so into computers. We mused that it would be amazing if someone could utilise the interface and the hardware capability of the apple iphone to develop a speech output facility on the iphone. Thanks to proloquo's marketing strategy of putting this app on the front page of the appstore we stumbled across this niche product and hey presto - our dreams have come true. An affordable option for us as a family with a disabled child plus I know my son already loves the functionality and use-ability of the iphone. We just got it tonight and I had a quick playaround customising it for my son's favourite things - so we'll wait and see what happens tomorrow when we start training him to use it! Hopefully he won't faint - as he is now getting his very own itouch and hopefully reduce some of the frustration from people not understanding his signing. We'll still continue with the signing but will be using the itouch for him to communicate with people who don't know sign. Just want to say thank you to the creators of this app - you have taken something so essential - the power of communication and made it accessible to some of the most vulnerable people in society..Version: 0

Great with Apple WatchThank you so much for making P2G work on Apple Watch. It provides an entirely different communication dimension. We just love it. If possible, please make P2G launchable via a watch complication. For my son, that would be the fastest way to start communicating. Looking for P2G by panning around or scrolling through the app list can be slow..Version: 7.2.5

A voice to be heardThankyou for giving my son a voice without it we wouldnot be where we are today and nuro team where astonished at his level of communication as Nero said he shouldnt be doing this just brilliant. We wouldn't of known son was so bad with seizures if it were not for this device telling medical teams what was wrong so thankyou xxxxxxxooooooo Update you all with this application it has challanged proff of nurology teams to re think on a non verbal and pysically disabled person because John tried communicating and they ignored his asking for help so investigated further myself and medical reports came back positive hip subbluxtion e.g so amazing that a 7 year old can let you know professor's are wrong to ignore me now have medical xrays to show the proff of John's complaints and it's not behavoural so proud of him and so thankfully for this program without it would be terrible I just thankyou so much for giving my son the voice he needs. Lending A Voice to the VoicelessI am a behavioural therapist with 20 years of community inclusion experience. Proloquo2go has given me the tools I need to support my members. They can now comfort parents, express their wants and needs, connect with others and navigate their communities with confidence! Thank you for making such a versatile app. It makes the abstract, seem concrete and now I can use the routines of my members to their advantage. I strongly recommend using this APP..Version: 7.8

Proloquo2GoApp is very expensive and not as well developed Not satisfied with the application considering the price it’s market for. Not enough options with the picture cards. No flexibility in where parents unable to take specific picture to be incorporated into the application to help child/children learn to communicate specifically.Version: 5.5

A great and more importantly an affordable AAC solutionI work with people who have communication difficulties and was looking for a solution for someone I work with. Proloquo2go is a brilliant solution. Please keep at the introductory price for as long as possible. I would like to see Assistiveware make a desktop editor so that we can make and edit on the mac, this would make things easier when you are working with more than one user. Also the scrolling needs to be improved as it is not very smooth on my iPhone but I am nit picking. For a version 1 application this is an amazing achievement. Well done, I can see this causing quite a stir in the AAC community. When British English voices are available could we have them as a no cost option to replace the American voices. Just downloaded the update and I think scrolling is still jerky and should be looked at. Still an excellent product..Version: 0

No legacy support for older IPads? ResolvedThis issue has been resolved. Anyone wishing to load on an older IPad needs to contact Support for information. I’m not sure if we are missing any functionality because of this. (Waiting to hear from support but seriously....I have to buy a new IPad because it won’t run on two perfectly good older iPads? Why isn’t there legacy software that will work on OS9*?).Version: 6.0.1

Awesome but room for improvementThis is a great app, but there is room for improvement. There needs to be a search function for words and phrases, finding where they are hidden can be a struggle at times. I have a son with Down syndrome who is four years old, and adjusting and adding words is too cumbersome. There also needs to be the ability to have automatic backups, for an app that's worth $400 it seems crazy that this function isn't there..Version: 4.4

PronunciationNeeds work for basic pronunciation and really needs to be able to sync between devices without major effort via a third party ie Dropbox.Version: 5.5

Autism communicationBest investment. Have a child with no speech or limited speech, this program has helped my non verbal son to speak, spell, communicate and more. He was non verbal, frustrated with people persisting he use pecs cards to communicate. He immediately engaged with this and hearing vocabulary it wasn’t long and he was imitating words as he himself explored the program. Thank you to the creator..Version: 6.1.1

Sooo usefulWe use this app with both our kids. Our daughter is 8 and has a global delay, meaning she is cognitively about 1 & 1/2 years old. Our 5 year old son is moderate on the Autism Spectrum. They were both very resistant to using it, but are now both seeing the benefits. It’s so customizable. Sometimes we use the pictures in the database and other times we add our own. Our daughter has started making one word comments about what she is watching or playing with, opening the app on her own to do so. So good for giving them choices between very different activities. I love that we can use our nephew or niece’s voice for things that the app has no way of knowing how to pronounce..Version: 7.3.3

So much scope for useThe application is great. Voice quality is good, programming is less arduous than some communication devices and it is very usable. I like how easy it is to integrate photos, pictures and font together. It is also very affordable and mainstream in comparison to other communication devices available on the market. It would be good if there was an attachment for pcs (Boardmaker type) pictures; and the ability to move the buttons to a specific place instead of alphabetical order so that colour coded border items can be placed together. Also there is a little confusion with the set up of the folders- when editing, the folders are in categories, but in the options section, the folders are listed alphabetically..Version: 1.6

Please add...My daughter has cerebral palsy and is experiencing a lot of success with this app. It's so much easier to use (and edit) than the very expensive talker we owned, previously. My one problem is that it's too easy for her to get into edit mode and start deleting/editing or adding nonsense buttons. Could you please add a password option to get into edit mode?.Version: 8.0.1

Proloquo2GoAmazing product for all ages, very user friendly!.Version: 7.0.2

Proloquo2GoThis application is fantastic. Easy to download and easy to use. Have been building up my daughters own categories day by day and she loves it. Cant praise this program enough- the designers have done a wonderful job. My daughter is now ready to take on the world and start going places without me. The price is an added bonus - after looking at devices that would have been in the thousands of dollars in cost it was so nice that the price put it within the reach on many more people. Thank you Samuel and David. Its great to know there are people out there that care about others and not the almighty buck. Cant praise you enough and look forward to future updates..Version: 0

Need to use to another device.Wrongly downloaded to the wrong device. Please advise how to use/install to another iPad. Thanks.Version: 7.5.5

AWESOME, AWESOME, AWESOME….This is THE BEST APP EVER!! (and just for the record have never written a review before!!!) My little fella is 6 and have only been using it for about 8 weeks and have to say am gobsmacked!!! Our son is non-verbal but it wasn't until we started using P2G that we really realised just how switched on he actually was. Am so excited about the potential of the App and how it will grow with him. Have had a couple of issues with the program (WASN'T THE PROGRAM - Operator error - got a bit carried away!!) and the support from these guys when I contacted them was instantaneous…. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT!!! Love the fact we can use this App across so many different environments and because it is such a simple program have had no dramas at all when I've taken it into our school - and was so surprised because they all knew of it and had used it before …. It is so adaptable and functional. When I've had to leave our son with other members of our family and left his iPad with them, they've been a bit dubious at first, but it is SO EASY, they've really enjoyed the fact our little bloke can tell them what he needs/wants…. I can honestly imagine being able to use this with him for years to come. Couldn't recommend it highly enough..Version: 2.2

MargaretMy 27year old son uses proloque2go and we think it's fantastic. I also use it in a special school. It is so easy to program in your own words and pictures and I am 56. It is wonderful to see the youngster who uses it being able to communicate with his friends and make his own choices. Thank you proloquo2go..Version: 2.1.2

Brilliant, well worth the money!I have had this app since 2010 when I first got an original iPad. It has come a long way since then. The developers are very responsive to people contacting them and asking if you can make it do something so top marks for customer service. For example when I originally got it word prediction wasn't on in typing mode and you can also now create shortcuts via the general iPad menu which will work when typing in P2G for eg if you set up 'hhu=Hi How are you?' when you hit letters 'hhu' it will type and speak the full phrase. It also now has additional help for fine motor co-ordintation issues such as selecting the right button and not hitting the wrong one or multiple ones's at once. it can now work out which button you were intending to hit by allowing you to 'select on release'. This means if you touched page with 2 or 3 fingers accidentally then just lift the one thats on the button you want it will only select that one. Due to this feature I can have a bigger grid with more buttons and planning to upgrade (from original ipad) to an iPad mini to make my device more portable. It also now has switch scanning for those who need it and a number of other features. The reason I chose it was because you can completely design your own pages from scratch and this helps my memory to remember where I put phrases, rather than trying to remember a vocabulary system that is not my own. I have my own home page with only what I need on it. You can also copy and paste a category onto your own page for speed say if you only wanted 'food' and 'drinks' from the original vocab you can just select those and copy across to yours, re-order it so what you like most is at top, delete one's you never use if you want or just put them on 2nd page out of the way. If you prefer to start with the built in vocabulary it has a very good updated core vocabulary, though as an adult I prefer to use typing page with prediction for one off sentences and situations where I hadn't predicted what other person would ask me and use the grid for pre-stored pages of sentences I need for specific situations where the explanation would be the same each time eg my name and address, my medical condition. It is very easy to make new pages quickly and I have done so on the evening before or morning of an appointment so I can say a longer sentence with just one press of a button reducing keystrokes and time the other person has to wait for my reply. Overall an excellent app with alot of flexibility to make it your own voice and at a fraction of the cost of 'dedicated devices', and still with excellent customer support!.Version: 3.0.1

Loving itI’ve always liked Proloquo2Go but a coworker likes speak for yourself. I now can say I have a search in Proloquo2Go . Now I’m wondering if you can make a hide feature! I also forgot I think you have a feature that you can use if a kid perseverates on a button and it continues to just speak speak speak.. I forgot how you can fix/help that..Version: 6.1.3

Communication is key! This app is really helping our nonverbal twins let us know what they want and need. If your thinking about this app just get it. My only advice, fight the urge to bypass the app. Our default for a while was playing hot cold nonverbally with pointing and head shaking. This app is so much less frustrating for everyone! Also, everyone should be familiar with the app, It helps when working with your children..Version: 8.2.1

Great appThis is a great peice of software that turns the iPad into an effective communication aid for disabled people. My daughter has had more fun and use out of it in a week that she had from a Dynavox in a year. Easy to customise. Throuble is I now can't get may hands on my iPad! I think I know what she'll be getting for Christmas.Version: 0

Great tool for young and oldWish Special Ed Teachers would use Proloquo2Go and learn how to engage the entire life skills classroom. Over 10 years ago I forced my child’s school to buy an iPad and Proloquo2Go app. Sadly none of the teachers were made to learn how to use it…despite my request. Sadly I didn’t force all into IEP. Lesson to all others, make sure Proloquo2Go is in IEP and make teachers and paras learn how to use it..Version: 7.8.1

Amazing appThis has given her the courage to speak. She is so happy she can make lists of shopping etc., and ask for help in a shop by using the symbols..Version: 7.3.2

Great app!Happy that such an app exists. Our toddler who we suspected to be on the spectrum before his second birthday has been using this app for about the past 6 months. He turned three not long ago and has been learning how to communicate using the app with the help of his therapists. I really like that it can be customized for early learners such as my toddler. The only reason I give it four stars is because he uses this app on the iPad, but for some reason he has trouble swiping up/down for some reason even after we try to show him over and over again. We were told it’s probably a fine motor issue. For now, we all swipe the page for him to access the rest of his icons. I would love it if the ability to swipe left to right were included since he is able to do that with no problem..Version: 6.1

My Daughter Now Has A VoiceOur daughter is 4.5 yrs. old and We had no idea just how much she comprehended until using this app! It's been amazing to "hear" her opinions and to know what she wants! Very intuitive and easy to use. It is also very easy to add my own pictures which has been great..Version: 7.0.2

We have been using it for ten years now, IT’S STILL important for us.Our elementary school teacher recommended it for our son that has problems with pronunciation, among other things. His comprehension is good and he has been improving on the navigation to the new buttons/ folders that we add when he expands his experiences. We just show him the path to the new edits. He starts high school soon and he will speak to strangers and they might understand him. Fingers crossed. If you have a iPad (the guided access feature is a must use).Version: 8.0.2

This is not just an appWhen you think of app then you think of a cheap and cheerful computer program to make a quick buck. Fortunately not all apps fall into that category. This is one of them. I have two apps that I have paid a significant amount of money for, and both of them are excellent. This app not only does the job you would expect of an AAC utilty but it is extremely well thought out and superbly configurable. All credit to the designers who have spent a lot of time making it so user friently. Given the developers are from the Netherlands, I am surprised there is no Dutch language voice - only American, British and Indian English voices are available at present (although I would like to see more childrens voices available in all these versions). This app is not just useful for Autistic people - Down, Rubinstein-Taybi and a host of other syndromes all have similar problems of language development delay. It works beautifully on an iPhone - you don't have to have an iPad. My four year old is perfectly happy to use the iPhone version (however she has good eyesight, hearing and fine-motor skills). The licensing allows you to buy this app and to download it to up to five devices - which includes an iPhone, iPad and iPod. So it's well worth the cost and by far the best and cheapest application on the market. By the way, I have no connection with the company - I am simply a parent of a language impaired child. I have only just bought this app and my daughter played with it yesterday. It remains to be seen how much it helps her, but if it doesn't then it won't be the fault of the application - which is worth every penny..Version: 1.8.5

SuperbThis is the best program ever for our special needs daughter. So easy to use and an absolute must when your daughter doesn’t communicate verbally.Version: 7.2.2

From 5 years now she 10I bought this app when my daughter 5 in desperate need of learning to communicate with her now she is is 10 it helps her and me. It works, it blew my mind to see her communicate with others using it. I remember actually crying when she used the app for something as simple as asking for a drink. Totally made such a difference in my daughters life and mine. Bringing us closer. So thank you.Version: 6.1

Game changerI started using P2G for my son at the age of 5. He has autism. And since then he has surprised me thousands of times , at times I was so confident that I know what he wants to but when he expressed himself using P2G it was no where close to what I had assumed.A must buy for all desperate parents who want to take one step ahead in this long journey..Version: 5.5.1

AWESOMEThis app has been perfect to give my non-verbal son with autism a functional means to communicate. His behaviors have decreased. I have recommended this app to many others and even for people who have communication issues due to stroke, neurological issues, etc.Version: 5.5

It's greatI love use its great.Version: 2.3

Good, but…I bought this for school, as two of our students, Nin (or Milayah) and Amber couldn’t speak. The price is a little bit high, but the Voice lineup is impressive especially in the tone of voice! However, I had an issue with one of the symbols when I tapped and held it. For example, I was having an issue with the “bad idea” symbol, as all it said when I held it down was “idea, ideas and others”. Please fix this. I did have a couple of other issues with the pronunciation but having that feature is ultra useful! I just wish that you had the voices I've seen on other voices ( e.g.Russell and Nicole) because I love those voices. Please add these. Also, if you guys can, please remove the profanity from the expressions section (not page) because it’s very inappropriate for school, and no students and teachers should trust it..Version: 7.7

Everything you need and continued supportI purchased Proloquo2Go in 2011 for my non verbal son and haven’t looked back. The AssistiveWare team listen to users and implement the necessary changes with many free updates that must take months to years of work. Once you buy Proloquo2Go there’s no more costs. If you learn the teaching strategies well and don’t just expect a user to start using it, it’s an app for a lifetime! Has made a huge difference in my son’s life. He can now communicate anywhere with anyone at anytime!.Version: 7.0.2

On the iPadWe have a a little girl who is a non-verbal autistic and this is just brilliant for her. She has come on leaps and bounds since starting to use this app..Version: 1.8

5 StarsI give this app 5 stars. Expensive, but well worth it! My 4 year old non verbal daughter uses it, and within a few days, she was asking for food on her own. She had never been able to ask for food or drinks before this app. She now asks for many different things, and also is able to say “yes” or “no”. It’s been amazing..Version: 7.2.6

Making a choiceIt would be nice to be able to activate a pop up screen that allows student to only have a choice of two items so for example only 2 buttons that say cheese or bread so that they don’t keep choosing all other items that ar not a available at the moment..Version: 5.5.1

Even More Brilliant with the last Update!I have been using this app for some time now with our disabled daughter and found it to be brilliant. Since the last update though there are many more improvements and added features especially in our case the scrolling for people who have limited fine motor skills, also the addition of the extra voices is a plus however these are just a couple of the new features. This app is now even better and well worth a download. Thank you to all the caring people involved for giving people with a disability such an easy and "cool" way to communicate..Version: 0

It’s is inappropriate. It has a picture of a demon with live hearts and it says “horny”.Version: 7.3.3

Magnificent!Dear AssistiveWare. Last year I requested you a text-to-speech feature to the app and you have provided it in this update. I cannot describe how this has transformed my non-verbal son's ability to communicate. I want to thank you deeply for such advances you have made. Keep up the great work. Thank you for changing our lives!.Version: 1.8.5

Copy and paste between user IDsPlease can you enable the feature of copying and pasting between user IDs. Makes it much easier to make sure that the home and school user IDs have similar structure / icons..Version: 3.0.3

Amazing AppMy son is 11 years old and has Down syndrome and Autism. He is also a non verbal communicator. He has been utilizing this app on his mini I pad for a year now and his life has changed! He is able to communicate his wants and needs like a champ. Watching him navigate through his folders and labels is amazing!.Version: 7.6.4

EmpoweringAlthough we’re still just getting started this software is already proving to be empowering, proving my non-verbal son has more to say than we sadly ever gave him credit for. Definitely a learning curve, but given the stakes and the customization available, it’s not too bad. Can’t wait to watch him advance with it, hopeful he continues on his current trajectory! Thank you!.Version: 6.0.1

Awesome Highly recommended app worth every pennyWe bought this app when it first came out and have never been disappointed. Features 1) simple to use, understand and customize. 2) add and delete sets. 3) very customizable add your own pictures or downloaded pictures customize any pictures including the apps pictures to say anything. create sets for any situation example; we have many sets for many different situations like different outings, educational sets, favorite foods/restaurant requests, stories explaining situations such as when we traveled explanations for everything that was going to happen. 4) the possibilities are endless. It can be as simple as teaching the first picture or as complicated as the person using it can handle. 5) my daughter started trying to talk more with this app and encouragement to say what the pictures say. She still is considered mostly nonverbal but she tries to say everything..Version: 1.4.1

Given a 5yr old a voiceAmazing communication app with symbol support. Brilliant for autism - Brilliant for both children and adults. Customise it's look, words, colours, symbols and styles. This app has changed a young boys life for the better who I currently work with - he has come on leaps and bounds. This app has actually encouraged his own initiative to practise his own speech. I highly recommend this app for anyone looking for a reliable primary communication device. iPad / iPhone are both equally good..Version: 3.0.3

Feeling positive to help my son communicateA great app that could help my son communicate. He is still learning, a challenge to use in terms of building the photos and backing up. Hoping that he will eventually master the functionalities and use it in a daily basis..Version: 5.5

Proloquo2GoEasy to use for both user and parent/ carer..Version: 6.0.1

Amazing for my non verbal daughter!Very easy to use and set up. My 5 year old is non verbal but has a good comprehension of language. This app has made a such a difference In the way she is able to communicate with everyone around her! My only regret is waiting so long to purchase it!.Version: 7.5.5

Fantastic!!I am a teacher of students with Special Needs. I cannot speak too highly of Pro Lo Quo 2 Go. The depth of planning and programming behind this App is absolutely amazing. If you know someone who can think in a language and who can move...(to select buttons) but who can't speak... then this App is a must. It is a major step towards achieving a more inclusive society. Because it is customisable it takes time to learn to use it well. The web-based support provided by Assistiveware is outstanding!.Version: 2.3

This is the Future! This is a great augmented communication option. We got this for our 6yo son who has multiple, severe disabilities - he will 'grow into it' and there is plenty of room for him to do this. There is so much potential here for so many people. We need to get on board and support these people who are allowing us to access this type of application on mainstream devices and saving us thousands and thousands of dollars. Thank you AssistiveWare.Version: 0

Exactly what we have been waiting for...The word prediction feature in this new version is exactly what we have been waiting for. My son has always preferred to type words into Proloquo2Go but would struggle when he couldn't spell a word. The word prediction feature in this version is fantastic: it gives a great choice of words if used on the iPad and appears intelligent! We have used word prediction elsewhere and this seems excellent; it has been worth waiting for something that really works, Thanks..Version: 1.5

Absolutely brilliant!Upgraded to version 3 the morning it was available and so impressed with it. Expressive voices really humanise the speech now, and the new Australian accents feel really good. Social media posting available directly from the app is great, no more copy and pasting around apps. Switch access will open this app to so many more people, thank you so much!!.Version: 3.0

Great for autismWe purchased this app, with the iPad, in the hopes of simplifying a means of communication for our son. It took some time, but after a little experimentation, we got his phrases and words set up. It needs a little more volume, but it was worth every penny and more to have him able to express his needs..Version: 1.4.1

MrWonderful app for my child. No issues at all. I would definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to use it n purchase it without even knowing it..Version: 4.3

Communication for the 21st century! Its possible that many people won't have even heard of AAC (augmentative and alternative communication) before so understanding the breakthrough this app has made may be hard. Usual communication aids are large laptops that are either attached to a wheelchair or carried about by hand. They are often heavy and there cost is huge. Costing around £5000 each, communication is far too often reserved for those who can afford it .. not a system I believe in as a social model using disabled person! This app offers me communication that is as easy to use as writing an e mail while on the bus. It is so simple to start, even though this is my first AAC, and can be ammended with personal information or terms with 3 clicks. Having it on my iPhone means I can listen to music, watch last nights Casualty & tell the bus driver where I want to go. I have yet to use this app to its full petential but it already gets 5 stars from me. With a vocabulary of over 5000 words & the ability to use sentences I created yesterday, I have the chance of indeligent convsation where ever I go. Not to mention the value for money! Thanks guys!.Version: 0

Got for my nine year old non verbal autistic sonI heard about this app from a ot therapist recommending it for my son! Once I got it we both fell in love with it! It’s such an amazing feeling to see my son be able to tell me his wants and needs! Wish I got this app along time ago!.Version: 7.2.5

My son now has a voiceMy son uses prolo on his iPad with. Joystick and it has now given him a voice. He is able to talk to friends and family and let people know what he wants and needs. This has been amazing and as a parent of a non verbal child now hearing his “voice” is something that I am so proud of and brings me to tears hearing him cheer his cousins at football or his sister at netball. It’s been fabulous… I LOVE prolo!!! And so does my son and our family..Version: 7.8

AmazingSuch a great app my son has a disability and can not speak well and it really helps him, voice really understanding.Version: 5.5.1

Awesome appLove using it, good for changing meal options and to keep track of sign language pictorials I’m using for him in one place..Version: 7.2.3

Calendar functionA Great communication app that would be even better with a calendar functionality.Version: 5.5

Amazing!Proloquo2 is my son’s voice. I am so grateful he has words through this app on his device! He can tell me how he is feeling, whether he wants to be by himself or have me near, he can order his own food, ask for a break or the bathroom, and unlike the PECs we used to use, we can add more words on the spot as needed or desired. The communication I have with my child through Proloquo2 is priceless!.Version: 6.1.1

Proloquo2GoAWESOME!!!! I bought this for my 12 year old son with autism and he really likes it. I had programmed a similar type communication board set using Speaking Dynamically Pro a couple of years ago and used it on a Samsung NQ01 or something like that (computer with a touch screen). But this.... THis is SO MUCH MORE PORTABLE! Once you get used to the connections between the different folders, this is a breeze. My only wish is that I could work on the custom stuff on my computer and then transfer to the iPod touch. I think my eyes need the rest. And the Symbolstix graphics are about the right age appropriate for this age group..Version: 0

Affordable and works!Just a quick review. We were nervous about paying so much for an iPod app, but took the chance and are so far very happy! Our 17yr old daughter with Down Syndrome is using it and we love how easy it is to personalize - she's got sections for all her favourite shows, of course....Version: 0

A must readHi 👋 my brother has autism and he has trouble speaking (since he’s not verbal) and then I came across this amazing 🤩 app I can finally understand him and I love the features where you add words then pair them up with pictures but that’s NOT the only thing that’s amazing about the app when you click a word it says it out loud in a voice that you pick in the beginning.Version: 8.0

Very simple to manage! This app is extremely versatile. You can use a library of pictures, take pictures from within the app, and even choose photos from your device’s album. There are multiple voices avail which you can customize the characteristics of each. You can make it as simple or complex as you want. We started with just a few icons for our cognitively disabled son and gradually increased the grid to (currently) like 6x8 grid of icons. He knows it’s layout better than we do. This is an awesome app with awesome support both through developer and a Facebook users support page! I highly recommend this app. If you feel your iPad is not loud enough with a protective case, there are amplified iPad cases you can buy elsewhere..Version: 6.0.1

The Phantom Of The Opera At The Royal Albert hall LondonThe Phantom Of The Opera At The Royal Albert hall London is my favourites Tv show my favourite is The Phantom and Christine Daae and Raoul and Madam Giry and Monsieur Gilles Andre and Monsieur Richard Firmin and Carlotta and Piangi and Meg Giry my favourites Characters from The Phantom Of The Opera At The Royal Albert hall.Version: 8.0.2

Proloquo2Go is amazing!By far the most versatile AAC device. Has the ability to be backed up if device is destroyed, can just get a new ipad and quickly replace a child’s/adults voice. We all have the right to speak and this App provides not only accessibility but also can be personalized to the individual and skill level..Version: 7.0.6

Great app. You get a lot for what you pay.I’m autistic and I have seizures as well as SPD and complex PTSD. I have Fibromyalgia, lupus and ME (chronic fatigue if you don’t know what it basically is.) and many other diagnosis. This app has helped me communicate when I can’t. I am verbal but some situations cause me to lose my ability to talk. Great quality, great vocabulary, wide selection of voices to choose from. All around great app for anyone with a need to use an AAC..Version: 6.0.1

Not loud enoughI purchased this application for my son who has Down syndrome and is non-verbal. He already has an AAC (Vantage Lite), but I wanted something with more portability that can easily fit in his or my pocket for outings. The program itself is great for the most part, however the sound from the iPod is far too low to really make it useful. I find it ironic that this program is to help people "talk" who can't, yet it's virtualy impossible for a person to hear what is being said!.Version: 0

A voice for K.We have been using this app for 7 years and love it! We appreciate how easy it is to program and use. I researched for several months before making the purchase for home use. This was the highest recommended at the time. Our son is 20 and non verbal unless prompted to say something. He quickly figured out he could make food and beverage choices which was very motivating for him. We even have it programmed for fast food choices. He also uses it to select leisure activity choices. I highly recommend this app! Our previous device was heavy, slow to start and cost $7,000. The iPad, app and protective case was well under $1,000..Version: 5.5

Great!Great for my minimally verbal daughter. One thing: I wish there was a setting to put a slight pause between words as it speaks the sentence. I’ve slowed down the speed of the individual words, which helps a lot, but a slight pause between each word in a sentence would really be super helpful with my daughter..Version: 7.6.4

Can get my words out now :)Im an adult with autism I use proloquo2go when im stressed and its great.. The pictures are very good for my understanding and the choice of English voices is amazing. Since I started using it it has been updated lots of times this new update is the best so far..Version: 3.0.1

WowThis is a great application - easy to use and program. I can't believe I can now have a communication device in my pocket - brilliant. And has many of the features formerly only available in the high end devices. Just needs word prediction to be perfect..Version: 0

Educational Support Assignment ReviewThis product is amazing and is helpful in assisting my non-verbal daughters communication needs. I wish all families the best in achieving their goals with this amazing tool..Version: 5.2

So versatile in helping my loved one communicate! My niece has had Proloquo2Go since she was 5, heading in to kindergarten. She is now 14, ready to start high school. At 5 years old, this app helped her communicate her wants and spared all of us the frustration of playing 20 questions in order to figure out what she needed or wanted. It has only grown since then. It has helped her speech. She often tries to repeat what she has made it say for her. Lately, she types into the app and listens to it speak what she has typed. She loves telling me what to add to it and what pictures she wants used for each button. Proloquo2Go is one of her best tools that assist her speech and communication. Thank you!.Version: 7.8.1

Best communication app availableI use the app I totally recommend it! The app is the best one out there for communication and has so many voices you can add your own images other ones I’ve seen the voices are seoprate the app is easy to navigate and figure out you can add words change pronounces which I love you can add folders which is helped me figure out were all of the things are though. I use this to communicate becuase I cant speak its the perfect app though not that expensive compared to the other ones I’ve see. The only thing I wish that I could turn off is the news for the app since it drives me crazy to get notifications about new update please make a setting to turn that off other than that it’s good app.Version: 6.0.1

Fantastic AppHi all, Just wanted to share my experience of Proloquo2Go. I work in a special school where many children use this application to communicate their wants, needs, likes, dislikes and a great number of other things. The vocabulary is extensive and well thought out while also giving users the opportunity to input their own vocabulary if they want. In the latest version you can now scan and use a switch to access the full communication package. The latest version also has some great Australian voices to download. This application is easy to program and the support from the developers is the BEST. Parents and students find that using PQ2Go has changed their lives and as an educator I would like to thank the team at PQ2Go for all the effort and time that they have put in to this application, keep up the great work and keep on changing lives. Barb Lyons.Version: 3.0

BrilliantThis is the best thing I have ever bought for my daughter She has no speech and thanks to this programme my 13 year old daughter has now got a voice thanks to apple iTunes !!!!!!!!! Before this programme it has been very hard for my daughter to tell me what she wanted and always spent ages trying to figure out what she wanted now I don't need too as she now has the perfect programme to be her voice I really recommend it to anyone who has a child with serious speech impairment to get this programme it is worth every penny and will tears to your eyes to hear you child finally have a voice............. I hope apple have got ideas for further products for children with speacial needs Thankyou apple for giving my daughter a voice.Version: 1.4.1

Has changed my lifeProloquo2go has changed my life. Thankyou..Version: 7.1.2

Thank youSo much easier than printing and laminating and my sons speech can grow at his pace. I never realised how wide a vocabulary he wanted to access.Version: 7.0.7

Fantastic, amazing, superb!I can’t say enough positive things about this app. To be honest this has changed my little boys life. Using actual voices is a stroke of genius. Proloquo has helped to improve my sons receptive language and he is beginning to attempt words when he presses on them. The introduction of the ability to record sounds is also fantastic. The support via your website and Facebook group has also been invaluable!.Version: 6.0.1

This Rocks!Wow it is even better that the original. Proloquo2go has made a huge difference my 8 year old child with down syndrome, he can now be understood by everyone. AssistiveWare have produced a cool product, it is easy to use, easy to personalise/program, easy to carry in fact there is nothing not to like about it. thanks Samuel and David..Version: 0

A wonderful programmeWe specifically bought an ipad so that we could access this programme, having seen it in use on TV. My wife has Motor Neurone Disease & cannot speak. Although she has a LiteWriter, we find this awkward & clumsy to use. The ipad is very light & the way that the different phrases are laid out is excellent. She can now come very close to speaking in real time in a conversation wihich is wonderful. Our heartfelt thanks to whoever devised this programme. We think it's worth every cent we paid for it..Version: 1.5

Lock optionI like Proloquo2Go, it is very helpful for my daughter on her sessions with OT and speech pathologist. But she knows her tablet full of amazing apps, it makes us difficult to use Proloquo2Go on her device. Please find a way to create an option to lock Proloquo2Go from using other programs while it's opened. Do you plan to add Russian language to Proloquo2Go?.Version: 6.1.3

Awesome to have instant communication at my fingertipsWith every upgrade I am learning how intuitive this app really is. It has changed my life in so many ways... I can talk like an Aussie with a few Aussie accents, and even whisper a few words, swear and have access to a few more expressions... This app has truly become my voice, something I've not had in over 2 decades - true affiliation with an audible voice. Plq2g really is the best text to speech product I've seen in my 21 years of being non verbal... It's real time capabilities and acapella natural sounding voices are opening up worlds .... I have given many presentations using this app and the response is always amazing, hopefully over time more people will have the gift of communication thanks to this ingenious, intuitive, most excellent app. Thanks AssistiveWare... This lil owl is my friend... Xxxx P.s. I've now moved onto Prolquo4text developed by the same app developer, I still occasionally use proloquo2go to stay abreast of changes with each update, but Prolquo4text better suits my needs as a literate communicator, but without Prolquo2go I would not have begun my journey into the world of AAC..Version: 4.0.1

Excellent communication aidA very affordable AAC when compared to others such as dynavox which cost around £5000. We replaced my son's AAC with an iPad and proloquo2go. So much lighter and easier to program. I set up the grid to match his previous AAC which our son, who has downs syndrome, easily adopted. If you are thinking of a new AAC and especially a replacement this would be a good choice..Version: 2.0.2

Itsmy voiceGreat app and easy to use. Its my voice.Version: 7.3.2

The first app I ever got 🥹😀I got this app as a kid when I first got my old iPad. It brings me back so much memories. Unfortunately since the modern years, my old iPad (which was a iPad Mini) stop working good but I got a 8th generation iPad which works good and this game is a MASTERPIECE. Thank you so much 😊.Version: 7.9.3

TouchchatHD vs Proloquo2GoMy autistic non-verbal granddaughter had TouchchatHD when she came to live with me this summer. It was good, I had gotten Proloquo2Go years ago when she would visit. She had to give up her other device with the TouchchatHD and with the purchase of a small refurbished iPad, the Proloquo2Go program has proved to be exceptional and easy to learn. I love that it says the letters as she types. A very good program, although not the latest version because of the age of the iPad. Still works great..Version: 5.5.1

Great for AAC users!I am an SLP at a high school. I use this app all the time with my students who use AAC. It is well laid-out, and I love that it’s easy to add or rearrange vocabulary. You can hold down the icon to get grammatical endings such as plurals and past tense, so it’s great for modeling sentence structure for verbal students too. It’s also easy to lock down options so learners can’t change things without your knowledge..Version: 7.2.3

Très satisfaite!J’apprécie mon choix. Facile d’utilisation et beau visuel..Version: 6.1.3

Great toolWe use this a lot. my only complaint is the speed it talks. can’t workout how to slow it down.Version: 7.6

Life SaverLogan brings his IPad with this app every where we go and especially school. I wish that it was an app that every child in his class that would benefit from it could afford. It’s a bit pricey but worth every penny. ~The Caldwell’s.Version: 5.5.1

This helped my child so muchMy son is now seventeen and he started using this app in Kindergarten when he didn’t speak yet. His speech is still poor but he can write what he wants now if no one understands him. When he was small though this app saved him frustration and our peace of mind to be able to help him with what he was wanting. LOVE THIS APP!!!!!!.Version: 7.8

PrintingIt would love to print off the symbols so that I can match them up with our Key Word Sign App..Version: 5.5

A life changerFew apps can have the sort of impact that Proloquo2go has had on my daughter's life. She cannot talk but she now has a voice. She has had other communication devices one costing over £3000 which have made a difference. But proloquo2go has many advantages. It is affordable. It gets regularly updated. It is very customisable to exactly meet her distinct needs. It is super easy to add new content. The standard vocabulary is extremely large and immediately useful- if somewhat US centric. The quality, and again customisation, of the voices are fantastic. It works on small devices, we benefit from all Apple' future innovations and the iPad or iphone is a cool device which makes my daughter fit in, not stand out. Thank you Proloquo keep up the good work..Version: 3.0.2

Easy to useJust got it and really easy to use compared to my son’s old Tobii device. You can do so many things with it compared to the older device. Editing is great..Version: 7.8.1

Easy to useGreat program/app. Easy to use. Lots of images to choose from. If the pronunciation doesn’t fit the word, just phonetically write it. Love the app. No training required as was advised I would need a speech therapist..Version: 6.1.3

Proloquo2Go to goGreat program so much help to those who needs help.Version: 6.1.1

Must have aac device appFor those people seeking trying to find a better aac app, this app is a must! Its all here super easy to use and my son will gonna use it for the rest of his life! 100 % would recommend this app! You guys wont regret purchasing this app, its super awesome!!!.Version: 6.1

Proloquo2goGreat app! Would be good if it had visual scanning though, but a great communication app..Version: 1.7.2

SimpleAmazingly simple to use and has finally given my daughter a voice reducing her frustration.Version: 7.7

Good with Room for improvementI've brought this to help me communicate as I'm very weak/often mute with M.E. I was quite disappointed with the voice quality on my iPod, even with a speaker (maybe it's better on an iPhone?). It could be clearer & less electronic. Hwvr I now know they are the respected "acapella" ones so it's not the fault of this particular app& they are to be found on other similar AACs aswell. The female "neo speech" voice (go on the Gus communication's web page>iPod to listen to both) is definitely clearer but unfortunately, for the iPod, they dont do a symbol-flow based AAC. On the positive I like the interface, GB voice option & the typing view with it's excellent, learning word prediction (the text of which can be copied & pasted in other apps, handy!!) To improve i wd say it Cd do with more customisation options, icons/ pg & background colours etc & i would appreciate an easier one button press to access typing view. Rather than >options> type> options> grid. Also snippets or text expander integration wd help alot. & more subtle adjustment of pitch is required - I don't want to sound like mickey mouse at the level above normal! The acapella female voices do need to improve. The comparable AAC "touchchat" with acapella (own also) has some feature advantages (& disadvantages) which should be weighed up. & the Gus "type & phrase" based AAC for iPod with neo speech "EZspeech" is worth investigating as are their AACs for laptop/tablet..Version: 1.5

An Amazing AAC AppHello! I’m Abby, the user of Proloquo2Go. All I can say is that this has been an amazing experience. I‘ve only recently found out that I may need AAC (as I’m autistic and am non-speaking in some scenarios). I love my talker and I’m excited to see more in it!.Version: 7.8

A Positive Behavior Modifier and Freedom GiverAs a multi-disabled woman who is nonverbal, deaf, partially blind, mild autistic and slightly physically disabled, I found this app, Proloquo2Go a helpful in modifying my behavior to match my age in a positive way and liberates me from using communication partner (the interpreter) by giving me the degree of freedom to communicate with the hearing people while I am on trip for various activities such as shopping. This app was very helpful in preparing me for open our world to prove that I can freely communicate with whoever as I am on go. I believe this app has given me the increased degree of independence of communication and social time. It has given me many positive avenues for shaping my future life through undergo a positive behavior modification and positive social time..Version: 5.2

Proloquo2GoProloquo2Go is a wonderful app for individuals with Autism or other speech and language challenges. It allows the individual many opportunities to express themselves through pictures and different options for speaking voices. The color coding of buttons allows the user a better chance to quickly select special categories or important words. The app can be used to store important, medical, family, scheduling, recipes, favorite programs, important educational words, grocery list, etc. If a caregiver purchases only one app, Proloquo2Go would be the single most important one to purchase. Why do I feel so strongly about this app? The answer is simple: I have an adult son with Autism. He continues to benefit from using Proloquo2Go..Version: 8.1

Typing viewPlease enable landscape mode in Typing View not just portrait mode..Version: 0

Icons disappearingExcellent customer support helped me figure out what was causing an issue with disappearing icons. Can you guys put in an undo option? The amount of times I’ve clicked something by accident and forgotten what the icon used to be. Also; can ‘Manual layout for Each Grid Size’ be enabled by default as this was the root cause of my issue with the disappearing icons..Version: 6.1

Crucial appMy granddaughter is essentially non-verbal. For years, 11 to be exact, we have tried to give her a voice. We thought because she can repeat that she would eventually began to talk. To our dismay it did not happen. Finally with the advice from a girlfriend I decided she needed a communication device. I purchased a iPad mini and loaded Proloquo2Go on it. She is picking it up fairly well to my delight. This program on the recommended intermediate is so expansive. I love how you can customize it. I wish I had done this years ago because we would be on a better speech ground by now. Please to all who have similar circumstances do not delay whether the child has speech or not make the worthwhile purchase of a speech program. This program is certainly affordable and can be utilized into adulthood!!.Version: 6.0.1

Receipt of Proloquo2goHe there, I just purchased Proloquo2go app, I didnt receive any receipt. Would you able issue the receipt to my email? Thanks.Version: 6.0.1

LeoLeo.Version: 8.2.1

Very GoodThis app is excellent but has one thing that prevents it from getting 5 stars for my situation. My non-verbal 5 yr old autistic child has problems with fine motor skills and unfortunately most times that he presses the buttons they start scrolling and as a consequence does not get selected. This is quite a major as he will get my finger to select what he wants or even worse - give up. On the positive this is really easy to configure; I have managed to cut it right down to only the things that are relevant to him at this early stage. The beauty is it is easy to add stuff back in again as he expands his vocal..Version: 1.4.1

Excellent AAC app!My son has Autism and is nonverbal and this app is how he communicates with us and his therapists! We used a Velcro pecs book but it’s hard to continuously make card with Velcro, so his bcba suggested looking into a device. We went with an iPad and bought this app for it, so the iPad is only used for speaking. I love the app because you can customized buttons with irl photos or photos from google instead of drawings, the pictures that the app has though are great and we use about 70% of them! He is 1 year into using the app full time and has made so much growth! The app seems confusing at first glance, but once you get use to it it’s easier to navigate. There was a period where my child would be confused where things are on there, but after letting him just explore the buttons and push whatever he wants he has found buttons I didn’t even know existed ha! The app is geared toward growing with whoever is using it. I’m so thanking for proloquotogo! The price is steep, and it was a hard pill to swallow having to drop that much on an app, but I promise it’s worth it seeing your child be able to communicate!!.Version: 8.2
