✓ Junk - waste of $$ zero starsThis is junk. It simply crops the image so you end up with up with a tiny cropped blurry image. I'm a photographer and you can get the same results by simply cropping an original iPhone image or resizing. As it stands now it's junk. Update -Dec 09 it's still junk, I tried it again and my zoomed image was like a 300x200 fuzzy cropped image and this in broad daylight with a steady hand. Anyone who rates this crap highly obviously works for the developer. No way this can rated above 1 star unless your a schill. Developer has never responded to emails either, what a joke! I'm now using 3.2mp 3GS and this app is still GARBAGE. I just tried the free app called zoom photo and it takes clear zoomed pics, get that instead so what gives? ✓ Sometimes videos don’t save!In general this app is good if you want to take a picture/video of something zoomed up more than the normal iphone camera would BUT ive found that sometimes if i’m recording a video, it suddenly freezes sometimes and then i have to stop recording and start again. and other times i’m recording a video and press stop and it never ends up saving the video!! it’s quite frustrating actually… but this normally only happens if i’m continuously using the app for a while, otherwise in general it’s an alright app :/.Version: 4.8
✓ It's ok but it ain't greatThe picture, when zoomed, isn't very sharp. The zoom bar disappears after taking a picture as does the icon on the bottom left, after viewing pictures taken. After installation and one reboot, the app crashes now and then. Apart the the picture sharpness, all the above can be restored when the app restarts....and you can take the picture again. All in all, the 59p app ain't bad as long you don't expect close ups to be sharp and the app to work smoothly 100% of the time. It's still a fun cam and cheap enough to disregard the quirks..Version: 0

✓ Does what it claims, but there's a better app for zoom.This app definitely works; however, there's an app that does the same thing, but has a handful of other features all for the same price. That app is CameraGenius. It allows you to zoom, has an anti-shake feature (puts end to blurry photos), has a "big button" to take photo of self a lot mote easily, allows you to take the picture by making a sound (like "cheese!"), has a self-timer, has a photo guide on how to take good iPhone pictures, and also has a grid on the screen that allows you to produce professional-looking photos based on their photo guide. All of these different features can be used individually (you have the ability to turn them on or off), or all at the same time. Now, with all of the extra features CameraGenius has, why wouldn't you get it when it's the same price! $0.99!.Version: 0
✓ Not badHas most of the functions and features that I'm looking for. However, it could differentiate itself from so many other similar camera software by doing much more. For example, it should have different types of filters, say to take black and white pictures. It should also have the option to show a 3x3 grid. A software effected "flash" effect would also be good. ✓ Wait for the update!For the people complaining about it now working it clearly states in the description that it does not work with 3.0 therefore you shouldnt have brought it. I know its frustrating as I'm also in the same boat, i brought it without reading the full description so thats our own fault not the devs. They have stated they have submitted a fix to apple so we just have to wait i guess. ✓ Version 1.0 does not work with iPhone 3G s - so don't bother buying it :(I really hoped this would work. I installed it on my brand new iPhone 3Gs and clicked the icon. It flashed up a request to use my current location, then the iPhone screen went black. That's all it does. Oh dear, good job it was only 59 pence waisted. ✓ Good concept...But... We all should know that digital zoom is pretty much worthless. I only downloaded this app to give it a fair shot. I took 10 pictures, 5 with this app and 5 with the standard camera app. Identical pictures with identical lighting and stability. All 5 pictures taken with this app turned out significantly worse than with the standard camera app with no zooming in any picture. Something is wrong here. If no zoom is simply using the camera API then the images should have been very close or identical in quality. Obviously the zoomed images I took later turned out horrible but I did manage to turn them into decent pics with a post filtering app lol If you want zoom... simply take a normal picture in good lighting and then crop the image after you download it to your computer. ✓ Limited Use for iPhone 3GA seemingly neat and useful app for the iPhone 3G, being all there in one package. Particularly useful is the facility to tap anywhere onscreen to take the picture, and also the shutter timer if you have a means of supporting the camera whilst including yourself in the picture. Less useful is the zoom facility. You can already do this anyway for any picture in the camera roll simply by zooming in onscreen then taking another picture of the area you've zoomed in to by pressing the home button whilst holding down the power button - method which allows you to be very precise in framing the picture. You can of course take a picture of any screen on the 3G using this method - even a scene from a movie you may be watching. Nevertheless, quite neat to have it all in one..Version: 0

✓ Finally a digital zoomFor those who don't know the difference between an optical zoom and digital zoom: an optical zoom involves moving parts in the lens and is very rare on cell phones in general due to fragil parts, etc. A digital zoom is software based and works AFTER the picture is actually taken. If you have a digital camera use the built in digital zoom which usually kicks in after the optical zoom is maxed. You'll see that the screen is blurry until you actually take the picture. This is the nature of a digital zoom. The plus side to this is there's no moving parts, thus making it more durable, etc. This app is an excellent example of a feature that Apple could have included in the iPhone software from day one along with the simple text I provided above. Good job to the developers for finally allowing iPhone photographers to zoom in!.Version: 0

When you take the picture things clear up in the final version and it looks much better but you can never really tell when the screen just looks blurry because of the zoom or is actually blury. Also with such a low calibar camera the more you zoom the worse the picture is. Otherwise the app does its job to the best of its ability. I wish though you could merge this app with the camera already on the phone. That way you don't have two icons that take you to the same place. It wasn't until after I made the purchase that even more information, such as, the photos would be fuzzy was mentioned. I think it's a great idea but if it doesn't work like you say. Perhaps more study and changes should be done if the warnings are not posted prior to purchase. In my line of work this tool would come in very handy and would keep me safe. This is the only reason I bought it in the first place. I hope you will be able to find a solution to the problem such as an updated file to solve the problem so it can be downloaded onto the iPhone. Now this one just got an update, increased speed, fixed a landscape bug and picture stabilizer. ✓ Ok, but not perfectI had high hopes for this app! It works and takes reasonable pictures (tapping the screen to take a photo is so much easier than the built on app). The zoom mode is intuitive as well. With the 3gs it also supports focus points. I love the volume button for shutter activation. The trouble is that is doesn't takes pictures as big as the native camera (it takes a picture that is zoomed in about 10%). if you examine the detail of a photo, the quality of the picture is not as good as the native app either. They have added shake detection, but no 2/3 guides. Ah well I shall keep looking, or hope for an update..Version: 0

✓ Disaster avoided...My original review: I now have three days of holiday video held captive on my iPhone 4. Neither iPhoto nor Image Capture will download it. My suggestion, if you buy this app, is to test the download before you fill your iPhone with irreplaceable memories. My revised review: KendiTech did in fact respond to my email inquiry (unlike the reviewer's lament above) and supplied the information to get the videos into my computer. Click the "album" button, select the clip, then click the "send arrow" to camera roll. While successful, the process is awkward and time consuming. It took well over an hour to transfer 157 clips. Most of the time was spent getting back to the "next" clip and making sure it was in fact the next one. I ended up missing one clip and copying four of them twice. Now that I know the process, I'll be sure to transfer as I go. By the way, one can delete the videos by clicking on "edit" and then "delete" for each individual clip. As with deleting email in iPhone, there is no "delete all.".Version: 2.0.2

✓ Take action nowIt is Apple's responsibity to ensure that applications offered in it's store meet minimum requirements. Applications at least need to work with the current operating system. It is the developers responsibility to ensure an applicaton is compatible. At the very least the consumer needs to be clearly informed of the current status. In this case Apple has not conformed nor has the developer. Both parties are clearly profiting from a defective product. If these parties are immune from legal action then consumers are forced to take an unaccepable risk. I hope those who reads this review will take the appropriate steps to insure that this trend does not continue. I have contacted the FTC and registered a complaint. ✓ Great app and 3GS does NOT have zoom built inFirst off, I NEVER review apps, so this is a first for me. I downloaded this just before I started in the dev program and only got to use it once before I upgraded to 3.0 for testing. A couple months later and it's up and running again. Great quality and well worth the price. Now, to the person claiming Apple waited on approving this update because they wanted to sell more 3GS phones due to it having a built in zoom on the camera....WRONG. It has auto focus, tap-to-focus, and auto light adjustment but there is no zoom on the 3GS camera. Please don't bash when you don't know the facts. Obviously this guy doesn't own a 3GS or he would know. Thank you. Keep supporting these guys and they will keep cranking out the updates and making this product better and better with all the suggestions they are getting. My suggestions: 1) Delete from within the app 2) Landscape mode please. 3) Ability to assign a button to snap photo instead of tapping screen. (This would really come in handy sometimes if it's possible.) 4) Take advantage of the 3GS features. ✓ WHERE is the promised update which will make this compatible with 3.0?I downloaded this just after upgrading to 3.0 and so was probably one of the first people to discover that it doesn't work with the new version of the OS. Soon after, as i recall, the message appeared informing us that an upgrade to fix the problems had been submitted to Apple and was pending approval. It has been weeks now and still nothing. As things stand, this app is USELESS. It DOES NOT WORK with 3.0 - which means, assuming that nearly everyone has upgraded, that it DOES NOT WORK for most people who might buy it. ✓ Sadly disappointed and would like my money back becauseI have written their support many times and no response, I have iphone 3GS with the updated IOS4.0.2 and when i take pics with this app and connect to Iphoto the screenshot is blank with dashes around it, i did some research and others have this problem and Applecare support has many different attempts at solution but nothing works. Girillacam is free but has the same issue, now the regular Iphone camera and Jotnot do not have this issue as of today. I can click on download the photos and they show up in the screen in Iphoto but why not with this app? Also when i click on video in this app it has a popup that to get video to work with zoom i need to pay another 99 cents and I would if they would answer my questions and why don't they acknowledge this problem and that it costs more to use video zoom on this app? I really wish they would fix this issue or at least acknowledge this and if others have this issue they should write it as well. the latest problem is in video zoom it keeps asking me to buy it again when i already bought it, i write them over and over and over, they sell allot but get away with no support and iTunes app store does not do anything to help me. i wish people would not buy this product or any products from this company..Version: 3.0

✓ Don't waste your moneyGave this app a try for just over a month and have now gone back to the normal camera. It freezes and kicks you out all the time which is annoying but I could handle that. What makes this a pile of poo is that you click to take a picture it appears to take it and then when you look in your photo album the picture is not there. This is intermitent some times you get the picture other times not. Makes you wish you could download apps for free and if you want it after 3 days then you pay for it to give you ample time to test it. ✓ Doesn't work!!!I read some reviews and the majority seemed to say that if it worked this App was excellent. Unfortunatley IF is the important word. I have installed it, re-started my iphone and done everything I can. It just wont work. It tries to load but then simply comes back to the home screen. Some times it asks to use my current location but then still wont load. If you are paying any money at all for an application there should be no question as to whether it's actually going to work!! If you have 59p you don't need then give it a go! Personally I'd wait for some updates. Fix it!!.Version: 0
