✓ Good conceptSome people are really stupid. The app Isnt opening because it hasn't been ported to 3.0 yet. If you read, it says the update that is coming will be compatible with 3.0. Hurry up developers and release the update. We have waited for more than a month!!!!.Version: 0
✓ Works fine!From my experience, don't understand why folk are struggling with this. Works fine using version 3 update - took a moment or two to load the first time, but otherwise OK. ✓ No 3.0 supportThe app won't open on 3.0 but I won't rate it down just for that like the idiots below me said. Although it is most likely the devolpers fault for no 3.0 support I won't rate it down as it is a TECHNICAL fix, not a CODING bug. ✓ What is wrong with you peopleWhy are you people writing in and complaining about a great App. If you had read the description before purchasing you have seen that the update has been submitted to Apple so that it will work with 3GS. If you had read the reviews dated prior to the release of the 3GS you would have read rave reviews. All you are doing with your ranting is poisoning the minds of potential purchasers about something that is beyond the developers control. When Apple approves, it will work (I assume) better with the 3GS than the 3G because of the better camera. Those of you who already purchased, wait and it will work. Those of you who have not, wait and check back periodically as I am sure the developer will post in the description that it is an updated version that will work with the 3GS. ✓ DO NOT PURCHASE IF YOU'RE RUNNING V3 IPHONE SOFTWAREIt's quite simple. Unfortunately the latest iPhone software update (optional on 2G / 3G models, default on the new 3G S) has broken this app (along with quite a few others). The developer has submitted an update, but for whatever reason, Apple are taking their time approving it. Before it stopped working, this was a useful addition to any iPhone so please be patient and wait for the new version before you buy. ✓ Worth Buying but don't expect a miracle!Zoom is a very missed feature on the built in camera, works well in BRIGHT light, does not work well in low light, for example a rock concert even with floodlights. I just used it at a concert this past weekend hoping to get something since one of the bands had a last minute, "We don't want any camera's fit" I thought that maybe the floodlights would give me a chance for a few shots for the old memory book, but it turned out impossible to get the spotlighted person in focus and if they moved, nothing but a blur. Without the zoom under the spotlights all singers looked like they we just beaming in or out, so it's the 3GS camera too. It's worth having at the price for those daylight shots where you want to frame a person face etc, but don't expect a miracle..Version: 0

✓ Shut up.Everyone shut up I have an iPhone 3g and this app works great! There are no bugs and it does an exelent job of improving the quality of the pictures once they save into you library. I was very hesitant when making this purchace...because of all the bad reveiws...and before this app I had just gone into the picture and zoomed in and then took a screenshot. But that is horrid quality but this is much better and when you take the picture on the app the quality when be bad but once you veiw the picture in your photos it gives it exeptional quality. This app does require a bit of a steady hand but I have a fine time taking and saving pictures. Sorry for the long reveiw....Version: 0

✓ AMAZINGAm extremely impressed with the quality of the photos this app produces. Was sceptical at first, but now use this app more than Apples Camera app. Excellent and not sure how it could be improved. BTW. Did notice one small glitch after taking a photo, viewing it in the gallery, then back out to take another photo and the zoom bar vanished. restarted the app and it worked fine. UPDATED: like everyone else, I have been desperately waiting for an update since 3.0 but doubt we'll get one. ✓ Useful For Close-Up WorkAs the other reviewer said, you can zoom-in and crop photos directly on the phone but this just adds really easy convenience for zooming - for 59p (UK) - well worth it to me! I also found that it gives better results when attempting to take a close-up pic of a document or drawing for sending to someone or just for reference. The depth of field on the camera is not good for close-up work and writing can get fuzzy but using this digital zoom gives clearer text etc..Version: 0
✓ Great job guysI just downloaded the latest update and really like it. Using the volume button is the most useful I've seen. Just hand your iPhone to someone who has never used one, and have them take a picture of you and your girl... It turns some really nice people into absolute idiots. I am using the 3g, and I know that the current lens is a handicap, but there has to be a way to use new software to use this camera to it's fullest. My previous blackberry had a 2.0 camera, and on a overall, took much better pictures than the iPhone (thanks Apple). Just like a previous rating had stated, knock our socks off with superior software to make the best of this cam, and I'll gladly pay $5 for it! P.S. A new icon would be cool also... ✓ Surprise Apple didnt think of it sooner-Real deal on softwareThe app is great hands down. The basic is this if your around 10 to 15 feet away from the target you can get real close with the zoom feature. I took a shot of a speed boat while I was on a speed boat and since your using digital zoom the image does look blury but after I took the shot the software fixed it as if I took it with my digital camera. Anyone who has taken pixs knows the closer you get using digital zoom the image tends to be blurry thats why you would normally need to use a tri-pod for those types of shots but with the zoom in software no tri-pod necessary. Its a great tool to get in those last minute shots when you dont have a real camera and getting closer may not be an option like my current shots of some tigers I took at great adventure great shot from far when compared to other people using their camera phones. ✓ Glad I waited until the updateI read a lot of reviews before I bought this that said the pictures were blurry. It seems as though there has been an update that fixed the problem since the pictures I have taken are not blurry and similar to the iphone pictures. The camera zoom works really nicely, gives options for using the whole screen as a shutter and saves it to your existing photo album. It is nice that this camera sincs with the iPhone photo album and doesnt store them in two seperate places. I agree, this is what Apple should have installed to begin with..Version: 0

✓ Just the app I was looking for!It took me ages to find an app that took better photos/videos than the iPhone camera but retained the quality (for me - 12 pro max) and one that had a simple app interface. This has delivered FAR better results than I was expecting! The quality is so sharp and clear, and the ability to zoom into videos is far smoother (you use a slider to zoom in) than doing it through the original camera app where you have to pinch each time (can also record in HD or 4K). ✓ Love this Camera! Great, sharp results!!Never have reviewed an app before even though I own some awesome ones. I just don't take the time. But this app deserves some time. All my camera apps quit working with the 3.0 OS update and Apple has taken it's precious time authorizing the app updates. FINALLY! These folks got this update nailed down the first time. It's fast and the quality is amazing. I use it as my regular camera app regardless of the zoom option just for the quality. You need to go into settings and set the lower resolution setting to off. It is not really slower and quality is much better! The app adjusts quality AFTER you take the pic so don't worry about how it looks on the view screen prior to taking. No crashes so far. Very happy to have this working again. Just a tip, reboot phone just prior to and just after downloading app, prior to launching for first time. This always seems to help.Version: 0

✓ Camera Zoom ReviewThis app has now taken over as my default camera app, why?, 1- It works the same as the default camera app. 2- it has real time zoom function (Badly missing on default camera) Now the review - As stated the picture when zoomed in is not the clearest in both preview mode and saved mode BUT, if you also have the HDR app then you can get some very clean sharp images . Zoom in, take photo. save, then open up HDR app choose photo taken with Zoom app and clean up the image and there you have it, A very presentable picture. Also just having the freedom of zoom in real time makes this a bargain app and therefore worth 5 stars. ✓ Camera Zoom finally comes of age as Camera Zoom 2.V2.0 review: It is finally worthy of downloading! You can see my original v1.1 review below, but now you can take shot after shot in any orientation and even use the volume keys for the shutter - much better than causing the camera to go out of focus because you had to touch the screen to take a shot previously (even though this feature is still there as an option if you want that). I had the image stabiliser feature turned on (with normal full picture quality ON of course!), and while it did take a little while to take a shot of something at full zoom (a picture on a nearby desk) - the quality of the photo in the picture was not blurry, considering. If you have been thinking about this App, I'd say now is the time to download and enjoy it! 4 stars this time! Original v1.1 review: On my iPhone 3GS the pictures are really bad and grainy with zoom at any level - even setting the pictures in options to be at 320x480. Picture is only taken about 1 second AFTER you press the camera button and you hear the click. Phone has to be absolutely still to reduce any sort of blur. I'd like to see some new features though to make this app the best camera available for iPhone. 1. Built in level aid. So that you know if your shots are going to be the right level. This could be a toggle-able icon in a corner of the screen. There would need to be two to cover all of the axes. 2. Customisable anti-shake sensor. Digital zoom works great. Pic looks fuzzy when you zoom in but after you take the pic it auto focus to give you a pretty crisp for a digital zoom. They also fixed alot of the bugs when viewing pics. I'm stil using the 3G phone and the pictures come out looking a lot cleaner and less blurry than they used to. most people NEED TO KEEP IN MIND that this thing has 2 MP camera so it won't get great pictures to begin with. that and this app does digital zoom so don't expect fantastic results. what you will need to keep in mind when using this app is the shooting environment. stick to well lit areas and larger objects when using max zoom. anything in dark settings or small objects will usually come out pretty bad. ✓ OK but not greatIt definately does what it says, and does it very well. However, it's big let down is still the iPhone camera itself. When zooming and taking a photo, depending upon how 'closely' (you arent really zooming in, just enlarging the image - and thats when having a 2mp camera really lets the iPhone down) you zoom in, the saved image even after it adjusts itself, is still not very sharp and can be quite pixelated. OK if you plan to keep it on your phone or view it in a similar 'small' setting, but upload it to iPhoto and it's not useable if you've zoomed in to the maximum allowed. This can be a useful app in many ways, you would just have to experiment with different shots and light levels (the greatest problem when it comes to sharp digital photos is how well the camera reads the light entering it). It would be great to be able to combine it with other photo apps, such as low-light shooting apps, but then I guess what we're then talking about is a better camera and a proper native camera app in the first place, like Sony Ericsson has been doing for ages. Overall well worth 59p to add a bit more functionality..Version: 0
✓ Nice AppPicture quality is good and tap anywhere to take a picture is awesome especially when I'm not looking at the screen to take a picture. It takes the same amount of time to load as the built in camera about 1.5 secs from when the app is launched until a picture can be taken on the Iphone 3g. My only complaint and reason it didn't get 5 stars is when viewing pictures with this app I can't scroll through the pictures, they do not orientate when the phone is turned and they take significantly longer to load then the camera roll. One more minor complaint is the zoom bar doesn't orientate either example if I place it on the bottom and turn the phone 90 degrees the zoom bar is on the left or right of the screen. ✓ Zoom zoom zoomBeen wanting a zoom for a while. So grabbed the chance to get this app. The fullscreen capture AND zoom ability us pretty cool. Has been a bit buggy a few times after a pic has been taken with the zoom bar disapearing, hence 4 stars. The preview pics when zoomed in look pretty pixelated, but the final results are much better. Handy to have, and once all bugs are sorted may even replace the standard camera. Which reminds me. ✓ Does Exactly What It SaysThis app is great. It does what it says and does it fast. As advertised, it is a DIGITAL zoom for the iPhone. You cannot expect a lot from any digital zoom. (nor the 2MP iPhone camera for that matter) Yes, it is the same results as crop and enlarge, however this app does it instantly and in real time so you can adjust your composition as you shoot. If that isn't worth a measly .99 cents, what is? Just remember, the saved photo in your Photo Library is a much better quality than you see on your camera shutter screen. The zoomed pictures are grainy, especially in low light situations. This is to be expected because you have to remember that this is a digital zoom, not a true optical zoom. Given that, the quality of the pictures is remarkably good. The real problem I experienced was with occasional lock-ups requiring a reboot. My guess is these are memory related because I couldn't consistently replicate the problem. The crashes were frequent enough that I gave it 3 instead of 4 stars. The only deficiency of this app is that it could use a stabilization function like what is found in Night Camera. I hope that future releases address these issues, and I look forward to other improvements the developer creates. Overall, this is a decent first version..Version: 0

You take a pic (by tapping anywhere on the screen - optional feature) and even though the pic may look fuzzy, it corrects itself. A marvellous app. Well worth the money. Remember, the pic does not depixelate until AFTER you press the shot button - just view the 4x zoomed in image BEFORE does not show the pic how it will look. ✓ Great simple app!This is a really good essential application for the iphone. I am not sure why the folks at Apple did not think that anyone would every want to zoom in on a subject to photograph, since they did not include any camera controls for the app they include on the phone. The quality of the photos with this app are very acceptable if you want to take "home" shots, and not pro shots. As with any photography, good lighting is the key to good photos. I have been very happy with the results, even at maximum zoom level, if the light is sufficient. In dark conditions, the more you zoom, the grainier the photo...this is true for any camera, and not related to this app. I have not experienced any issues with this app..no hangs or failures. Occasionally, the app will take a few moments (maybe 4-5 seconds) before it is ready to use after launching, but I suspect this is just due to the iphone working on other background tasks at those times. Overall, you will find this app to be very simple and easy to use, and it provides the functionality that Apple should have included in their native camera control. Well worth the price!.Version: 0

✓ WOW! BEST SO FAR!I must say this is THE APPLICATION I was looking for! Sure, the quality isn't great but it's good and I'm sure they will get there someday. But it actually does what it say it does :) Works like the built-in camera app, but finally gives you opportunity to: 1) zoom in as you're taking the picture (and not later as do all the others), 2) tap anywhere to take it (needs to be turned on in settings first), 3) zoom in and out by pinching... and it improves the quality a bit before it saves the pic. It's really great and it's DEFINITELY WORTH less than a buck... That's like nothing compared to its potential. This app works fine for me and hasn't crashed, lost the zoom bar, or lost the camera button, and the icon is fine. Of course the pictures come out pixelly because once again, its not a digital camera, and they only do that if you zoom in as far as it goes, which in most cases isn't needed.
