✓ Always disappointingI’ve been using this app ever at least 5+ years now. It’s fine. It’s never good. They are always slow to roll out updates. Some features that should have been around years ago still aren’t. You still can barely play videos because they’re always super blurry. You can’t see any polls. A lot of times they don’t load the comments below tweets. It’s hard to load threads/replies. Push notifications and trends are spotty. Customer service is bad. They rolled out a program to test the app before updates, but they don’t listen to feedback. EDIT: Most recent version sees the best features such as streaming do not work correctly..Version: 11.4

✓ Could be a great Twitter client...except for some chronic problems that never seem to get fixed. (1) Support for the external keyboard on my iPad Pro is hit-and-miss...it usually doesn’t work at all so I need to remove the keyboard and type on the screen, or use Twitter’s own client. (2) I have reported problem (1) for years, and never gotten any response. Very unhappy with the lack of response. (3) No support for Twitter polls; they just don’t show up. However, it’s time to start “shopping around”, as most videos still don’t play. Go to Twitter’s website, no issue with the exact same tweet. ✓ What it once wasSome people say we shouldn’t change what isn’t broken, but when your house starts to feel dull and tired you know it’s to redecorate. This is what we have with Echofon in 2022. It used to be the top app for Twitter, but it’s still the same as it was years ago, while the world has moved forward leaving this app firmly in the past. Time to strip the walls and find a new look, decorate with new features, move with the times and show us the art of the possible. In the meantime I’ve found myself using the official Twitter app for the first time. User experience wins in this world..Version: 13.3.8
✓ Can’t view threadsThe one feature that would tempt me to pay for the pro version is to be able to view an entire thread when someone retweets/quotes the first (or any) message. ✓ Several Missing PiecesThere are some things that are missing here that would make it phenomenal. While it is nice to have an actual chronological feed, I still have to revert back to the native Twitter app in order to read through threads. I also revert to native to see the likes for my posts since Echofon only shows mentions. Also, if I want to read the translation of a tweet, I again have to revert back to the native Twitter app. Add to that, reporting Tweets that needs to be done in the native Twitter app. Why Echofon is amazing: I use Echofon for both my lists and for the chronological feed. I also upgraded to Pro and don’t have to see ads, which is awesome! These three things have kept me as a user for many years now, but I’d love to see some expanded functionality if Twitter will allow it of app developers..Version: 13.2.3

✓ What's up with deafult-on video autoplay?!I've used this app since it was called Twitterfon, and generally have preferred it to Twitter's native interface. Lately — perhaps since the last update— if I open a link to a web page that has embedded video (ads or otherwise), as soon as the page loads, ALL of the videos start playing! It becomes a marathon of tapping the X in the upper left corner to close them all. And on some sites, it's DOZENS. Makes some web pages unreadable. I wanted to contact support rather than leave a crabby review, but they apparently stopped using Zendesk and haven't updated their support link! What's happening, guys?!.Version: 12.2

✓ Keyboard function on iPad Stops WorkingI have an Logic external keyboard case connected to my iPad via Bluetooth. For some reason, I’ll be typing tweets fine, then will go to type another tweet and the keyboard will no longer work. I bought the Pro version thinking this would stop happening but it hasn’t. I have to close out of the app and reopen to regain keyboard function but then I’ve lost my place in my feed. Very frustrating! I don’t have this problem with any of my other apps. What gives? But for the past 2 months I’ve had to use the official twitter app because this one crashes every time I open it on my iPhone X. I thought, “let me make sure everything is updated” it is & it’s still not working. I even purchased the pro version so I really expected not to have any problems on this level. ✓ Hasn’t met us in 2021I adored this app 7 years ago because it did everything the Twitter app wouldn’t (It held multiple accounts, let you see images without leaving the app, let you edit your profile without leaving the app- yeah, the Twitter app was that bad). ✓ Needs a few tweaks to be perfectI tried the free Echofon app for a while before upgrading. I have the free Desktop app too. I was expecting the upgrading process from free to paid version of this iPhone app to be smoother (e.g. an in-app purchase) but when you click 'Remove ads' you just get prompted to download the Pro app. Unlike other free-to-paid app changeover experiences I've had, Echofon's is very basic. None of the settings are carried over from the free app, which means you need to go through the entire process of signing in, setting things up, and tweaking the prefs all over again. I'd like it if, when replying to tweets, you could drag down the compose screen to read the message to which you're replying - its a useful feature in the official app. The mute function can be a bit hard to work, in that there is no 'save' button and so when tapping back to the main screen, after adding a hash tag you wish to mute, the app doesn't always save what you entered. A few more themes would be nice too..Version: 5.2

Without this option (which you had in the previous version) replies have to be sent to everyone in the email chain. Until this is problem is fixed, you will lose customers to TWEETLOGIX and other apps. My Complaint As of 4/29 the developers changed they app so what was previously a good app is now unusable. ✓ Last update, a step backwards.A number of changes in the last update has lowered the quality of this app. Opening web pages is plagued by a video player launching over the web page view. Closing the video player often launches another player if there are multiple video sources on the web page. ✓ Good but not perfect yetI do like Echofon but as with most Twitter clients in gains in some areas and looses in others. I like the clean location service and things like shake to refresh. No ads on the pro, supporting small fonts and silent periods for push are all great stuff. There is some things missing though. No drag down refresh / origin tweet when replying. No shrink URL when typing, only at sending (meaning character count is wrong), no update per hour count on refreshes, no programmable refresh rate. Now oddly I can live without these niceties, Global Push however completely throws me. It only updates ever 10 mins or so, while Echofon to Echofon is instant. As a paid app I feel cheated. A key USP is fast efficient Global Push tied into your twitter update quota. Sadly Echofon doesn't have this as fluid as I'd have expected. I hope they improve it before the free competition catch up. Good but not perfect ... Yet. If an update tackles push and some of these edge features I'd gladly update my rating..Version: 0

✓ DiabolicalThis app sounds great in the description, but It purely isn't. Flickr intergration can only put pics into your photostream an not a dedicated set, you cannot set how many tweets are loaded upon launch, settings are jumbled between settings and in-app settings, app kept crashing upon searching and generally not a nice app to use, maybe in a few updates it will be better but now it's useless. Save your money now and buy Twittelator, the dev is very helpful an updates the app often and with user commented improvements, twittelator dies everything you could ask for and more, twitterfon does nothing, even tweetie is better and that hasn't been updated since 2008. I went in search of an app to compliment twittelator with different features and stumbled upon a complete mess called twitterfon pro :( wasted my hard earned £2.99..Version: 0
