✓ A good app with a few minor issuesPush notifications work great from other Echofon users, however those from non-Echofon users often take AGES to come through, rendering the functionality slightly useless. I'd also like to see some Tweetlonger integration like that seen in the official app. I DO think that brevity is important with Twitter and that Tweetlonger is a bit annoying when people use it all the time BUT it can come in handy when trying to explain something in detail..Version: 0

✓ Pro adds all features I've been wantingI had been using the free version of TwitterFon for a long time and thought it was the best free twitter app. There were certain features like multiple accounts, landscape keyboard and the ability to block users that I was wanting, though. When the paid version came along that added all of these features, I wasted no time upgrading. Sure, at $5 it's a little more expensive than some. This app 'has' been updated which appears to have made it even better, issues were evident... Update: 7th August 2010 5 stars reduced to 1 star due to photos of profiles appearing mixed up? ..and my own profile photos looking bad quality and not updating. Update: 8th August 2010 1 star increased back to 5, issues above appear resolved with their newest update. Update: 20th August 2010 5 stars reduced to 2 as it's having problems with the network again. Slow and glitchy at present. Should be fast on the iphone4 but it isn't. Update: 24th August 2010 Push Notifications repeating itself, now becoming very annoying. 2 stars reduced to 1 until this appears to resolve itself. ✓ Best Twitter ClientThe official Twitter client had my attention on the iPhone for a month or so, until I noticed that Echofon for iPad had been realised (as a universal app nonetheless!). I had been using Twitterific on my iPad, waiting for Echofon to be released. Now I'm using Echofon on phone, iPad and desktop, and its a joy. fast, clean and best of all it syncs between clients so you should never (in theory) read the same tweet twice. It also has push notifications for new mentions, which is a useful feature. It's still early days for the ipad version, which still needs some things adding (different colour themes, for one). Well worth the money, and I look forward to future updates..Version: 0
✓ Echofon Pro outperforms the native Twitter appEchofon certainly manages to outperform the native Twitter app. It has much better integration of photo services (Twitgoo & Postreous for instance). Notably, Echofon manages to do a great job of showing location tagged Tweets, something the native app fails to do. Echofon would do well to mimic the native app with a smoother display of images, the pop-out window is a little inelegant. Otherwise a four star effort..Version: 4.1

The ones that are "replied to main thread with @" shows up as a the reply color, while others remain the default color. The official Twitter app will show the correct version of the text without @username and tweet format continue to display correctly. - Hey guys, pro user here. I intended to reply to my own thread without @ ing thread owner, but after the latest update, app starts automatically inserting the OP's @username in my reply, forcefully, even when I've deleted it. As you know, any tweets starting with @ does not show up on the main web timeline, and I actually I intend for that to be deleted, currently there is NO WAY to have this done now in the app even when I manually delete, and there is NO any kind of indication that it's inserting the text for me. Can this be reverted or at least made into an optional feature? App is actually quite unusable if it's actually inserting text into the tweets when I intended the format to be otherwise. ✓ Best Twitter ClientI've tired most other twitter clients but I always come back to Echofon. The design is simple and clean. Easy to use. Push notifications are fast and reliable most of the time. I also like the mute feature that allows me to hide hashtags and clients that I prefer not to see. It's also great to be able to sync unread tweets between Echofon for iPhone and Echofon for Mac. There is one thing I wish Echofon could do. Ability to select words in the detailed tweet view, like Twitter for iPhone so that it's possible to copy and use the built in dictionary..Version: 5.0.2

I think the boys and the team behind echofon are working very hard and it's not their fault if the iPhone people are using isn't compatible with their software and has issues that's apple's fault. My only problem with it is that I haven't been getting notifications for a few months now. ✓ Always my preferenceI've tried, at various points, five apps for twitter and Echofon is my favourite. Particular strengths are long embedded conversations. Easily readable and Echofon seems to track back to the original tweet which started it, and finds responses, rather than just the direct tweets to whichever tweet you click on (as it feels like Tweetbot etc do) Also your homepage is immediately accessible. You can't see *who* has RT'd you so I run it alongside twitter app and occasionally dip into that to check. It's not the prettiest, but it is the most practical app I have encountered, and also the most intuitive. Five stars..Version: 6.2

✓ Twirific... almostEchofon seems to have lost a little with IOS 8, but perhaps trying to get it right is a bit like shooting a moving target. Up until IOS 8 it has been absolutely fantastic. At the moment the only complaint I have is that the touch part seems not to be working well. That is when I touch a hyperlink, some are slow, and some are 'no go' at all. I look forward to the next update for improved ability to view new followers, look up information on my followers (links don't work) and other non-functioning hyperlinks. ✓ The most voice over friendly accessible Twitter client I have ever found!So, as a totally blind iPhone user, I'm always on the lookout for really good, accessible apps. I'm pretty new to twitter, and have tried a number of different clients, but this one is absolutely fantastic! Very accessible and easy to navigate. My only criticism is that there does not seem to be An accessible character count when composing a tweet. This is really a bad thing for me, as I tend to go on a bit, so it's always good to see how many characters I have left. This is something that the other Twitter clients I have tried do have, so I really hope someone from the development team is reading this review and can do something to address this issue. Other than that, every part of the client is brilliant. There are a few controls that are not labelled properly, but they are still easy to understand. I look forward to the next update of this, and hope the developers do not break the user interface which is pretty much fully accessible with voice-over screen reader..Version: 6.5

✓ Good - but has one massive flaw, and one small one...I decided to upgrade from the official Twitter app a few days ago. This app is better in every way except one - when reading a tweet you can only see replies made in the last few minutes. What use is that to anyone? The official app always displays all replies instantly. There doesn't seem to be a way to cure this problem from within the app. So now I need two Twitter apps - despite laying out a fiver for what I thought was a replacement... I hope this will be fixed soon. Update! I have now also discovered that the iPad version has another annoying problem - when you bring up the list of accounts you are following, you will find that around about half of the accounts listed are just random accounts that you are not following. ✓ Used to be fine, now it has timeline problemsI’ve used this app for years. It’s always been fine until a couple of months ago. Now, I open the app and go to the bottom of my unread tweets. From there I scroll through some tweets, eventually stopping on one I open to read. When I’m done reading it, I close it and go back to my timeline, but instead of returning to the exact same point on my timeline like it used to, now the app returns to the bottom of the unread messages where I first started - even though I’ve already scrolled through some already. There were no bad reviews and it seemed the app of choice for most Twitter fans like me. When the last update came shock horror it had adverts in it which whilst not changing the use of the app did in all honesty anoy me. As a result I searched for a new Twitter app and even paid for a few. None of them and I do mean none came even close to Twitterfon for ease of use and just being brilliant, so I persevered with the free TwitterFon and its adverts. Then came the advert that caught my eye…TwitterFon Pro!!! With in 5 mins I had downloaded TwitterFon Pro with no adverts and added features. Basically its Feee TwitterFon which we all know and love with some nice new features, like being able to handle multiple Twitter accounts, change the theme, and save searches…in a word what it says it will do. Do I begrudge having to pay for it, well no. Lets support the app maker and be happy to pay for an app that is really the bet Twitter client as the rest really don’t come close..Version: 0

✓ Beats Twitter App because it shows all tweets in Chronological order.Still cannot handle polls though. The developers explained that Twitter won’t release the API. That’s pretty consistent with Twitter’s general ethics. Still, seeing Tweets in chronological order is worth it..Version: 12.2
✓ Best Twitter app, there’s no debating itI’ve been using Echofon pro since it was called Twitterfon in 2009 or 2010. So much better than the ‘official’ app that was actually called Twitbird until Twitter bought it. Echofon pro has a nice clean interface, no ads, no notifications from random people you don’t even follow showing you their tweets that you have no interest in… it’s perfect, please devs, never change this app. It’s fine the way it is..Version: 13.4.3

✓ I've finally found it...After trying out every Twitter app on the app store, I've finally found the perfect Twitter client. Syncing with the Mac version is great and push notifications are really handy. Only minor gripe (that im sure is easily fixable) is for example: if I open Echofon in the morning and have 100 new tweets, I read 50, then close the app, when I reopen it later, it forgets where i was and scrolls to what was the newest loaded tweet at that time, if you get what i mean. Fix that and it's a five star app! Great work!.Version: 0
