I was not aware there was a free and mistakingly purchased the app. The purchased version does not work. The first day back in the office it was discovered and I requested a refund from iTunes. Got a canned response, “Not eligible for refund”. The two buttons presented were something like “Done” and then one called “Reset App”. Both the normal action blue. Well, seeing as I was just told the app needs reset to work, of course I click reset app. What happens? Of course, just as I wanted, the app quits and loads again and everything’s good, right? NO! RSA kindly put a button called “Reset App” that completely erased all of my token info. No bold, red letters, no confirmation screen, nothing! So instead of just gracefully recovering by killing the app for me, they assume that I, a person who has never experienced this “out of sync” error, will correctly want to completely unregister my corporate RSA token to fix the issue. The original app’s experience while looking “dated” was a pleasure to use: simple, quick and usable. This update seems to have no obvious design style other than “make it look more modern”. It fails on this front with an expanse of white and poor colour palette for text. But in changing the UI it has massively sacrificed the UX. No longer a simple experience, there are now more taps and text box focus entry issues (a real pain for accessibility I might also add) and tiny controls to have to tap with fat thumbs. (Approx 5 - 30 minutes wait) 3.)Then a person will give you an invitation link So you can Use the app it on your device.(every link is unique so if you have a 2nd device you have to go back to step 2) 4.)You click on the link on your email and it will take you back to the app. (You can copy and paste or scan QR code if you want) Then finally it will generate you a token. ( A token is a 6 digit code that changes every 30 seconds). 5.)As fast as you can . You go back to the website you are trying to log in to. You put the code in then. 6.) Then the website will ask you to change the pin (4to8 digits) so you can go back to the app open it there. 5.) Then the website will finally ask you to change your password for the first time. Or add some appealing graphics to it like sceneries or pictures? A great app has several components not just providing security codes. RSA Authenticator (SecurID) works most of the time. If it is not working for you, we recommend you excersise some patience and retry later or contact RSA Authenticator (SecurID).
