✓ Essential for any Tube travellerI really rate this App, the journey planner is great, particularly the indicator for which carriage to be in for exit at interchange and destination - if TFL were to number carriages or the platform (Virgin Trains did this) as well as indicating the direction of travel life would be even easier in terms of knowing where to head for on the platform. I also like the station status and updates, great for figuring out when to head to the station for minimal waiting time, I am slightly spoilt as my nearest tube station is 2 minutes walk away. Enhancements I would like would be for the map to automatically centre the station I am closest to. Also indicate when empty trains are scheduled, again slightly spoilt by being close to Northfields tube station which is the start point for a couple of Eastbound services most hours of the day. If you are a transport geek the little nuggets about each station are great, I had never noticed the painted columns at my nearest station that acknowledge the local football team until I read about it in the app..Version: 5.8.14

But an irritation to figure out how to stop them when you don’t! Is the ‘Star’ on or off? Seems whatever I do, the alerts keep interrupting even when the App is closed. ✓ A Must Have Ap for a London TouristI recently went to London for the first time with my 19 year old son. We are from the US. If you are not familiar with the London subway system, this AP is a must as it immediately calculates the best route for your destination and provides easily understood, step-by-step instructions. It includes the underground and overground subway system as well as the TFL, which is the extended train system. Someone randomly recommended the ap to us and it truly made getting around London very easy which saved a significant amount of time and frustration..Version: 5.7.2

✓ Forget the map - get this app!Simply stated, unless you are very familiar with the London "tube", this app is a must have! No need to puzzle over maps, or ask guidance from an English-challenged employee. Just open the app, go to route planner, and enter your beginning & ending stations. It'll show you the lines and changes to get there! You can even put a location like "Hard Rock Cafe" in for your destination, and it will route you to the nearest station! The only catch is you must have cell service and be willing to use it. Just make sure you get a good plan on your phone!.Version: 5.7.3

✓ Garbage: gAvoid this APPI tried this APP on my recent trip to London. What a waste of timeline. This App is confusing and counterintuitive. It is also REDUNDANT, because the regular maps app on your phone already does a far superior job. Just put in where you want to go in London, select “Transit”, and it does a 50x job. It will guide you through what platforms and stops you need and even keeps you apprised o mr arrival times. Don’t bother with this garbage app..Version: 7.2.1

Used it for every journey we made as it’s so helpful and clear where you need to go and which tubes you need to take for your journey. This app made the already easy to navigate tube even easier! I could plan my trips ahead of time and double check while on board to make sure I was heading in the right direction. ✓ Huge TimesaverI used this app extensively on our recent trip to London. The route feature tells you exactly which lines to take and where to change lines. For a small fee it even can tell you which exit to take and whether to try to sit near the front or middle of the train (the fee was well worth it in my opinion). I did not find the adverts overly distracting. A cool feature is that once you've plugged in your route, you can switch over to a familiar Underground map and it will highlight your stations so you know where you are in the city/system. 5 stars from me. I downloaded another paid London map app that was worthless but this app is fantastic. Thank you for making my trip much, much easier!.Version: 5.6.5

It also doesn’t always give you alternative travel options when there are some. This mean that it is imperative that you check the TFL alerts before committing to the journey the app chooses for you. Also worth looking at the map to see if there is another option. Basically, if you know the tubes and your way around London, this app is helpful. It would be nice to have the available exits and which one is best for where on street level, from the tube STATION as opposed to which carriage to get off at, especially for stations like Charing Cross, Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus which have numerous exits into the street. But it doesn’t always figure out the best route, especially with regard to changes. I live in Brixton and it often makes sense to switch to the Northern Line st Stockwell, only across the platform, but it never suggests this. Same deal with regard to Green Park, an awful place to change, there might be a route with more changes but much easier ones but it doesn’t take this into account.Version: 5.7.3

Bug 2: latest January 2022 update doesn’t show the Moorgate to Oval part as closed (from 15th Jan) I.e. doesn’t render the same as the January 2022 London Underground Tube map.
