MSW Surf Forecast for Positive User Reviews

Magic seaweedReally easy to understand and super accurate.Version: 7.1.1

GoodPretty good.Version: 7.8.4

Great appVery good when you’re planning your surf trip !.Version: 7.7.3

AwesomeEasiest site to quickly look at forecasts...Version: 7.7.1

Best Surf condition site.I check into Magic Seaweed first thing every morning to see what the waves are doing. Great to know the expected wave height, tides and wind direction. It is also good to look at the next few days coming up..Version: 6.5.3

Great site to check your local spotsGreat site to check your local spots.Version: 7.2.2

Great appAmazing app service really. If any criticism it takes some of the mystery away from the days of surf discovery. A big part of surfing was the friendships/ relationships/ conversations you needed to make/ have, in order to learn about new spots/ foreign places. Hopefully people use it in a positive way, enjoy their surfing and respect other people and the environment..Version: 7.7.3

Easy asBest around for sure, no instructions needed..Version: 7.6.4

Love the simplicityI love the quick access to the current situation and what’s coming up - in hours and in days - at a glance with all the different spots in our area. Thanks guys... stoked!.Version: 7.6.2

Best AppVery good app to see the spot to surf.Version: 7.8.0

Magic Seaweed recommendationMy uncle, who’s been surfing for 20 odd years, recommended I use Magic Seaweed for reliable and accurate information of Surf in our area which is great for a beginner like me!.Version: 7.4.0

The only forecast to useHave been using MS for years and feel it’s only getting and more accurate with time. My only criticism would be is that you have to get to know what the size of surf actually is at your nearby beaches. For example 2-3ft forecast at Freshwest is waist to shoulder high waves whereas, 2-3ft forecast at Newgale is waist high waves (one beach catches more swell than the other). Other than that, the forecast is spot on and the only site I use. One last point, PLEASE can we have a report for Broadhaven (North) in Pembrokeshire..Version: 7.3.0

Love the weeklong forecasts, wish more accuracy & spots around Lake MichiganThe app works well, looks decent, is easy to use, has a nice weeklong forecast and other helpful features, and fairly often gets the forecast right. My main complaints are that it often seems to lag quite a bit behind the buoy reports and NOAA info, and it doesn’t have forecasts for many of the best areas to surf in the Great Lakes. St Joe and Holland in Michigan would be really nice, and there should be at least a couple of spots along Door Co in Wisconsin..Version: 7.1.1

Underrated surf appSurfline has become an ad-riddled monetized mess putting up paywalls for basic information; I can’t even check water temp after opening the spot page 5 times in 1 week! Magic seaweed gives you everything you need to judge the surf. Sure they don’t have the daily in-person surf report, but if you know how what swell periods are and the difference between onshore & offshore winds you’ll be golden. If you can finesse some free surf cams for a somewhere else you’ve got yourself a formidable Surfline replacement..Version: 7.3.0

Go to surf appLots of up to date info. Never let me down..Version: 7.5.0

Nice and easy to useEasy to use to see the tides, forecast and water temperature. Maybe needs the option for wind in knots with waves in feet.Version: 7.8.0

SurfingVery good app to have and easy to use.Version: 7.8.1

Great app.The star rating isn’t dependable but the actual information on weather and ocean conditions is fairly accurate. I like the setup and can easily see what time tides are up and down, light and dark times as well. Plus they added more beach cams! One annoyance which isn’t on surfing info is the photo section. I live close to Oceanside Oregon and the page is blasted with people’s photos of Oceanside California. Most pictures are even labeled. It’s false advertising for our local beach but anyone who looks well enough can see it’s not Oregon. (No wetsuit or we don’t have pier’s). Same with Seaside Oregon..Version: 7.7.1

AmazingReally good app. So easy to use and navigate use this before every surf and is amazing..Version: 6.5.2

Best App Out ThereI used to have to look up surf reports online until one of my coworkers showed me this app. You can add your favorite surf spots and get the current wave height for each of them on the same screen. I gave it five stars because there are no pop up advertisements. One suggestion I have now that iOS 14 supports widgets would be to make a widget for the Home Screen that displays wave height for specific surf spots. Thanks to everyone involved with creating this application and running MagicSeaweed, you rock! 🤙🏼.Version: 7.3.0

True surf app statsI’ve tried other surf apps and they’re all a little bit rubbish, either the Cam’s don’t work on all the sites you want to compare or their surf report is the same for 300 km radius. This one at least just gives you the specific weather conditions important to a surfer to know the places to be at. The only fault I have ever found is the wind speed and direction can be off, but its only been a few times. and the app asks for a review nearly every week which is getting annoying.Version: 7.5.0

Key to my planningI’ve used magic seaweed for a few years now and it is always the first app I check. It’s views are simple and clear and accurate. If things look interesting on a specific day I validate the forecast with other apps. I have to drive 2 hours to surf so accuracy is vital. I definitely consider this the best all around most user friendly..Version: 7.6.2

Useful app for planning sessionsLove checking this app to confirm conditions prior to heading out … very useful!.Version: 7.8.0

WavesI love to check the waves and make sure that there great for me to go out in! It tells you correct information and I look at it every morning before I go to the beach!! I also use it for Surf carnivals because it will talk about the wind and temperature and how big or small the waves are. So thank you for such an amazing app, I would recommend to those who need it. 👍.Version: 7.4.1

Dig it.... but I’d like to see a little more.MSW has been my go-to forecasting app for years. I do wish I could customize the settings to notify me if one of my saved spots is predicting a specific “star” rating in the forecast. Say one of my spots is gonna have a 3 or 4 star day, I’d like a push notification. The ability to pick which spots I get noticed on and pick what star rating I get noticed on (1-5) would be legit. Let’s make this happen MSW! (If I can already do this, cool. Please tell me how lol).Version: 6.7.0

MSW reviewAs a SCUBA diver, I always check the weather and the waves along with the swells to see if it’s gonna be a good dive day. It would be nice to know water temperature, jelly fish/sealice warnings and local Inlet waves. In coming/outgoing tides. I personally have been out attempting to go through an inlet where MSW has said FLAT and the waves were so big we were nearly capsized. That is scary to depend on a website and have that happen. These additions would be nice..Version: 7.7.3

Basic accurate surf report appI live a couple hours from the beach these days, so I pay for the premium 14 day report. For 3 bucks, it’s fully worth it. I’m busy, so it’s hard to plan surf trips. This app makes it much easier. It’s accurate most of the time, as accurate as a 14 day report can be. The only complaints are small and won’t matter for most. I do wish the app said which way the wind is blowing in relationship to the shore. It says the direction, but in Cali, not all beaches face west, so it would be nice to get a better description. That said, I’m sure if I weren’t so bad with a compass, I could figure it out. Many will scoff at this gripe, I’m sure. The other thing is the “nearby” feature. There’s straight up nothing there for any beach I’ve been too. Now perhaps it’s up to a business to add their info, which I understand. But if businesses don’t want to participate, perhaps just ditch the feature all together. All around, this app does what it’s supposed to do. I’m definitely pleased with the service at this price point. Bottom line: I recommend the premium version of this app. The free one is good too if all you need is a week..Version: 7.2.2

My go-to for checking surf conditionsAt a glance, I can plan my week around the surf conditions because of the simplicity of this app. Nothing comes close..Version: 7.6.1

Surf appEpic app use it daily & regularly puts me in the right spot at the right time! Thanks.Version: 7.6.0

AtlantiqueI’ve worked as a lifeguard at Atlantique for over 35 years and I can’t believe that we are on Magic seaweed Thanx it’s awesome I use your website all the time in the summer to check the waves and tides. I used fair harbor because it was the closest beach about a 1/2 mile away on the ocean. The new Atlantique tides should be almost the same but the tide table that is being used is on the bay side. Any way you can change it to the ocean tides. I would love to hear back from you. Ronnie.Version: 7.7.1

Magic SeaweedThe app is/was easier to use/better set up than Surfline. I get they merged but would be nice to still have the option for the traditional view. I still had the MS app on this phone and was able to use it since the merge. I had no option but download the SL app on my new phone last month. The only way I could get it to work was sign up. Give my email. I had already signed up years ago but didn’t like the SL app and went back to MS. I had forgot the password and used the reset. The feature was buggy and took 4 times to get it to work. Sorry for the long winded review but what it comes down to. The free Magic Seaweed app was far better than tge free Surfline app and you didn’t have to sign up to use it. Hopefully the SL app will improve with time but for now it’s a 1 star app in my opinion..Version: 7.8.6

Very useful for travellingNot sure what the pro have to offer. But the app as is seems to do great.Version: 7.8.4

New Zealand experienceSeems to be more accurate than previously . Has become my most trusted website for surf forecast.Version: 7.8.1

MswLove the forecast!.Version: 6.3.0

My go to for surf reportsThis is the only app I use for getting surf reports from my local spots..Version: 7.8.1

Almost perfectEverything about this app is a+ except for the fact that you can’t configure notifications for swell. I’ve always wanted an app that can just simply notify you if there was going to be swell over a certain size especially because where I live the local swell can be rare..Version: 7.8.3

Surf reportIn depth accurate. The only thing I see that needs to be added is whether that particular beach works with that swell height and tide … for instance some breaks won’t work unless there is a minimum 4-6ft etc..Version: 7.8.0

Reliable, local & easy to useMSW is the most reliable surf app for forecast/current conditions throughout all of Australia & the Indo Pacific. Easy to use yet detailed insights. New cam feature makes it a one stop shop.Version: 7.7.1

Good siteI’m finding Magic Seaweed quite an easy to use and dependable site for information. Would have scored it a 5 from 5, but deducted a star as I’m somewhat disappointed that the very few free surf cameras are now gone….. can you not give us a few free cameras back?.Version: 7.7.3

WakesMy nearest surf spot on MSW is Rest Bay, the size of surf is similar there to my local spot. However, the forecast wave height is always over estimated. I need to halve the forecasted size to be accurate, for example if you’ve given 4-6ft then it will usually only be 2-3ft. You used to be able to make an adjustment to the wave height on a slider in settings but that feature no longer exists. I miss the wave height settings. 😕.Version: 7.5.0

Canadian surfSo much better than surf line. Please don’t go. The simple charts at a glance are so much easier to navigate then the text that surf line generates..Version: 7.8.5

SwellGreat app.Version: 7.8.0

Easy to read and accurateThanks team, the forecasts are clear and easy to understand and usually right on the money. Churr..Version: 7.4.0

Great app - needs more clarification for new usersI love this app and I just got it. It gave accurate results the time I used it for Huntington Beach in California. The only thing wrong with the app is that, as a newer user, I don’t know what all the different conditions symbols mean. What’s “14s” mean? I know it means seconds but what does that mean out on the water? Or the arrow with a number with a degree under it? Otherwise I love the app and it has great metrics for people who are unfamiliar with it like myself and for people who are familiar with it. Thank you.Version: 7.7.1

The BombI’m a Kiwi traveling through Central and South America and this app is on point almost every time! Accurate, up dated and provides good info on swell and wind conditions. Works great in all countries I’ve visited so far.Version: 6.5.3

Accurate and clear surf reports! The weather data behind this is way better than others I’ve used and the design makes it quick and easy to see surf conditions..Version: 7.3.0

Almost perfectI like a lot of the features especially the swell angle all the swell sources and the ability to adjust custom swell dice in percentage Swells generally arrive half a day later than the forecast says and the winds are not live so especially when cloudcover or evening glass it is actually offshore and app says onshore that should be fixed.Version: 7.2.0

Constant delightNot living near the sea the joy of looking at surfing beaches even when I’m not going makes me happy. Clean offshore conditions 3-4 feet and no chance of getting there can be a downer. Still that’s not MSW fault. App works fine for me, forecasts can be misleading for good and bad so webcams are always useful and the webcams are reliable. I like it..Version: 7.8.0

AmazingIt’s just amazing app to see the surf 10/10 would definitely reccomend for others this app is just so so perfect and tells me everything I need to know before going out to the surf.Version: 7.8.2

Best surf forecasting site on the internetTried them all... Magicseaweed has the best layout, best articles, and the most pleasing presentation of forecasts. The technical information takes a backseat to usability, but is still there if you want to nerd out. Above all Magicseaweed is most accurate, which makes living a greater distance from the shore easier to invest the time to drive to the beach for a session instead of wondering if I’m about to “make the best of it” or have wisely invested fuel and time pay out with decent surf. Never thought of seaweed as magical before, but now I’m convinced it is true!.Version: 7.1.1

Accurate surf forecastingMagic seaweed is a great surf forecast app. It provides a good daily surf report for my local break in Western Australia, and the long range forecast is great for planning trips down the coast or overseas travel. Any account issues are always fixed quickly with the minimum of fuss. 5/5..Version: 7.6.0

Brilliant appBrilliant app works well and gives great information.Version: 7.6.4

Pretty good forecasts.Pretty good forecasting. Would be more willing to pay if I knew my $$ were for forecasting and not articles. At least the marketing toned down from a few years ago pumping up pro surfers. I had pro version, but not willing to pay it any longer. I just want conditions. Stick to conditions and make the annual fee less, you will get more subscribers. We don’t want to fund surf explorers or influencers..Version: 7.7.3

Great!!Good to get an idea what the surf conditions might be. It’s good for checking the tides and more. It’s also good for checking the swell direction, how big the waves r going to be, how hard the wind is going to be blowing, and it’s also good for have a good estimate how big the waves r going to be. Great app Get now.Version: 6.5.1

Best Surfing AppMS App is best I’ve seen with accurate detailed information so I don’t waste time going to the beach and being disappointed. The hourly projections allow me to time my surf to perfection. When I get to the beach I know exactly what it will look like..Version: 7.7.1

So much better than SurflineWhy is it better than Surfline: you get 7 days on the free account! Want the pro account? It’s less than half the cost of Surfline for an annual subscription. Easier to use, doesn’t waste space and require tons of scrolling. Gets to the point, easier to find your spots, etc. I don’t even need a pro account but I’m buying one because I want to monetarily show my appreciation for the app..Version: 7.7.3

Axecellent,I find I get all the info I need right in this app Is it bad that I look at it nearly daily lol..Version: 7.8.0

Good app, some problemsBeen using this app for several months with the pro subscription. Generally it works really well and most of the time it gives an accurate prediction of the swell at your local break, sometimes over estimating the swell size. It can also contradict other surf forecasting apps like Surfline stating swell sizes as significantly bigger. For iPhone 7 I have had experiences with the app crashing when viewing the stats for a specific break, although this is kind of annoying and has been happening for a while it isn’t something to judge the app solely upon. Other than that it is a great app that does its job well!.Version: 6.9.0

Magic seaweedI live 90 mins from my fav surf spot. I rely on MS to let me know whether it’s worth the drive what board to bring and what suit to bring based on conditions. ❤️.Version: 7.8.6

Easy and correctAlways easy to read and fairly accurate compare to other surf check apps I’ve had in the past.Version: 7.6.3

ReviewI like the app…it is free, easy to use, and I get the information I’m looking for on this site. How big the waves are, how much wind, and when it is happening. I live 15 miles inland, I can look up local beaches for info I want. I can choose what beach I want to go to given that info. I also appreciate it goes out 10 days. I can plan my trips accordingly. This year the waves on the Oregon coast are not all that impressive, as far as size. I want North Shore waves, but alas don’t live in Hawaii anymore. I watch it because I don’t want to miss a big swell when it does happen. Thank you for doing such a great job. I’m happy I have this app! Cynthia Muscat Mapleton, OR.Version: 7.8.0

The bestInterested to see what the merge with Surfline does. I live in Texas where the surf is very inconsistent and magicseaweed is perfection, free reasonably accurate forecast, I like scrolling through the uploaded user pics of that spot, and always make not of the advice MSW gives you about a particular spot. I have a 4 hour drive to the coast so it’s not just hop in my truck when the surf is good, plus I work a Mon- Fri. $30 a month for Surfline is not justifiable when I’m only able to go once every 1-2 months. Hoping the merge doesn’t start requiring payment for a forecast past 1 day like Surfline..Version: 7.8.4

Great appGives me the info I want and it’s free. What more can I ask for?.Version: 7.8.3

Thank You!This is an awesome app, especially for a noob like myself. Gives me an idea of what I’m getting into and has given me a closer understanding of the relationship between wind speed/direction, tides, and wave period (speed), to know what conditions are optimal for me. I go out regardless, but it’s nice to know, even after a session, how the conditions impacted my time on the water. Thanks so much!!.Version: 7.7.1

Easy to use and helpful. Sometimes breaks close to eachEasy to use. Informative but not always accurate.Version: 7.4.1

Good acuracy at some places, not so kich at othersStill provides good information and is mostly accurate, but certain spots couldnt be further from the truth.Version: 7.8.0

So much better than Surfline.Surfline Used to be great. But now it just feels like a huge corporation. Only today forecasts and expensive monthly fees for premium. And don’t forget the inaccurate wave reviews. But Magic seaweed has everything surfline has and better. Seven day forecast for free that feel accurate and have more information. They have more surf spots and a great description. The website was a little tricky at first but now I love it. Get magic see weed!.Version: 6.5.3

Great App clear and conciseProvides what you need in an efficient way.Version: 7.8.0

Nitai VardiGood but why ads.Version: 6.5.2

Good infoGreat information on locations and swell.Version: 7.8.4

Keeps me stoked!Look at the app almost daily to track the surf at my local in New Zealand. Mostly accurate but I can nip down the road to check. Good to see the forecast for the week to plan surfs. Great I can also see tides 🤙.Version: 6.6.1

Love this app4/5 times it’s correct. Good for planning ahead. It is unable to distinguish between messy and clean breaking waves but that’s what those online surf cams are for..Version: 7.5.0

CaptainI’m a fisherman and look at magic seaweed every morning, it’s as good a forecast as any, only thing is it’s a shame you don’t up date through the day, you use to a few years back, after midday I start looking at other forecasts because sometimes things change through the day. Danny.Version: 7.8.0

The best surf forecast/report appMSW has been my Go To for ages. MSW actually focuses on giving you a good product. Unlike other surf websites, MSW isn’t trying to constantly force me into a subscription. Weird, I know, but it’s nice when an app just does what it promises without ads and subscription offers popping up every 15 seconds. MSW doesn’t limit the number of surf reports and forecasts like that other surf site does. MSW simply just works and it works BEAUTIFULLY.Version: 7.8.0

Awesome app must get!If u love surfing and looking at forecasts that predict surf conditions and show many other details this is the app! Magic seaweed shows so many details about the particular surf spot ur viewing on the app giving extensive detail of the surf break that no other app I have seen offers. Must get if ur a surfer or bodyboarder!!!.Version: 6.8.0

Pro versionJust upgraded and features allow decent advanced planning for trips. Well worth it and great value.Version: 7.6.4

Easy to use and understand. The app is easy to use and understand..Version: 7.7.3

Awesome site!!I’m a former surfer many years ago and now I am a photographer of many things waves being one. The information that you share is spot on and gives a great review of what’s to come i.e. the forecast. You have a very extensive number of locations to check out both in the United States and abroad. This is what you get when you are non-paying user. I can’t imagine what it would be like as a paying user, most likely even more awesome. Thank you for this website I hope you guys stick around for a long long time..Version: 7.8.0

Good for learningJust getting into surfing it’s really helped me learn a lot about my local breaks.Version: 7.6.4

LOVE MSW!!!I love this app!! It’s very simple, elegant & functional - and it provides a pretty accurate surf forecast (at least in my limited experience so far using it here in New Zealand!) I’ve been using the free version and it gives me all I need as a beginner surfer..Version: 7.2.1

Great site but wish there was a version for swimming!Regularly check this site ahead of swimming in various places in UK & Ireland. Forecast not always correct but appreciate there’s a bit of educated guessing to produce a forecast. Would like a few more beaches added: I swim at various well known places on the E coast of England eg Dunwich, Sizewell and have to rely on the forecast for Felixstowe or Southwold..Version: 7.8.0

Helpful content2021: I’ve started using MS about a month ago to give me an idea of the surf conditions at Doheny, since I’m just learning to surf. It takes a bit of understanding the forecast, but it seems to be accurate: tides, swells, wind. So I always know what to expect. 2023: I still refer to Magic seaweed for surf conditions in Oceanside. The Mobile app lacks the following: converting temp to Fahrenheit, hourly forecast of surfing conditions..Version: 7.8.4

Where else......... can you find all the information you want to decide in less then 5 mins where you should go? Set your favs or just look at nearbys and you can see the swell and then the tides etc jn a couple of clicks. The app is so easy to use and intuitive you just start it up and go. The surf cams are excellent too!.Version: 7.6.1

MSWQuick handy way to get the right waves today. If your surfing your own known break it's great. Wave heights a little sketchy but that may be more science lag than application fault? Like the waves near me. Shame webcams will be removed for non paying users. But at £19 a year it’s a good buy to get to see the wave without adverts..Version: 7.7.1

Love itHelp to see where best surf is.Version: 7.8.0

My go-to holiday site!I was recommended this site by a fellow caravanner. It has been a brilliant source of local information re the tides at Gwithian etc. I also like the cameras so I can check out the sea and the parking availability as it gets so busy down there. Thank you for providing such brilliant information! 🙋‍♀️.Version: 7.6.2

Magic seaweedDefinitely like the app very reliable and accurate as of wave height and wind always use this app before making several hour trips to any destination it’s better than winging it and being disappointed when the weather and water isn’t what is says it’s suppose to be like many other apps! All around great app!.Version: 7.8.0

Great appReliable and accurate so far.Version: 7.7.1

Love this appSo great.Version: 7.8.3

Love the app, just one thing…So I haven’t used magic seaweed a whole lot but I do think it’s very useful for finding surf locations. One thing I have noticed is that whenever you are reading the description of a beach is that if there is an apostrophe in a word, it’s replaced by symbols. Specifically †and a trade mark symbol. Here’s an example. If there's the word “aren’t” then it would be changed to “arenâ€TMt”. I find it distracting and it makes the text hard to read. Other than that it’s a great app! But please do fix this bug!.Version: 7.6.2

Great app for surfing but more details for Canada pleaseI love this app, it gives you a pretty good idea on the best beaches to hit ahead of a surf day. Love the charts and what to consider at each beach. But please provide more details for Tofino..Version: 7.7.3

Excellent referenceI use it for planning hiking activities! It gives. Quite reliable predictions of weather. Okay.Version: 7.8.0

MSW best tide appThis is honestly the best tide app I can find out there. It gives you specific spots all along San Diego; all the other apps only have one or two stations along Southern California. It also describes each beach, with photos. It’s super easy to read, easy to navigate! I’m really bummed this app is going away. I have searched so many apps out there, and I cannot find a single one that compares to this..Version: 7.8.4

Ace AppThis app helps a beginner like myself understand when I should be heading out for a surf … and it’s been accurate in its forecast ..Version: 7.6.4

Great appThis really is a very helpful app. As someone very new to paddle boarding and kayaking this has been so useful fir the tides and wind speed etc. It even gives sunrise, sunset etc. I would however have given 4.5 * if possible though, just because as a newbie to all of this. It would be nice if there was an explanation as to what each thing surf swell etc mean in real terms and how this effects sup users surfers etc. Also how it can be flat but with red wind speeds.... this I find very confusing. I've even tried your online and page but it seemed to just refer to surfers who actually want those conditions... more explanation would be fantastic please :).Version: 7.6.4

Love it!Gets me where I need to be at the right time with my camera.Version: 7.8.1

Magic vibesBrilliant. Built to do exactly what it what you need it to. If only every app out there was as efficient at achieving its stated goals. Only drawback is that it asks for a level of competence that a novice in forecasting will find intimidating. The interface is sensible enough to encourage the search for that competence though. It ends up being a satisfying user journey..Version: 7.2.2

Great surf predictionsGreat predictions, accurate and generally great use of the long term forecast. I also love the long forecast it is very helful. I absolutely love the 14 day forecast so you can map where your gonna surf and what boards to bring. And also how accurate it it. It’s so much better than all the other apps Surfline etc.Version: 7.6.0

ThanksYour surf reports have made it much easier for me to understand where and when to surf.Version: 7.8.0

Very helpfulThis app is fairly accurate.Version: 7.8.0

Great info!Use this to get the tides for walking the beach. Tides, sunlight etc are so accurate. Not sure the temperatures are but I don’t use it for that. Highly recommended..Version: 7.7.3

More Accurate than SurflineJust my personal experience but I’m not the only one with this opinion. Surfline may have a bigger audience because they hit the scene first but that doesn’t mean they have the best or most accurate information. I rely on Magicseaweed and from my experience it’s been less disappointing and more satisfying than Surfline’s exaggerated reports. Life’s short so I don’t need to waste my precious time chasing waves that don’t exist. That’s my story and I’m sticking to it..Version: 7.8.2

Best Surf AppEasily the best surf app for forecasting. Updates based on weather changes is pretty impressive..Version: 7.6.4

Great appThis helps you decide where is best to go in for what you want to do. I’m new to kayaking so I use this to find areas close to me where it’s flat and look at the tide times. I know you can pay an extra fee to see the beach cameras but in my local area there’s not enough for me to spend the extra. But this is a great app and I have recommended it to all my friends..Version: 7.7.3

Mint App Everything you need nothing elseWhat more to say other than accurate information on relevant subjects at a good variety of locations. Brilliant..Version: 7.8.0

AmazingIt is so easy and quick check of the surf and tides and the ads are not that long!!!! So it has no bad things from me. Well there is one there are some places when there is no camera but if you go onto google you can find a camera so that is the only bad thing so good for all the overs 🤟🤟🤟🤟.Version: 7.3.0

Perfect surf appSo easy to use, you can jump on the app at anytime and see what the waves will be like. It takes no time to learn how to read the forecast which makes it perfect when you just wanna jump in the car and go for a surf without the logic puzzle of a complicated forecast. Thanks Magic Seaweed!.Version: 7.6.1

To surf or not to surf that is the questionUseful location specific info.. including water temp. Wish it was an app that had with it live stream I also look at from separate source..Version: 7.5.0

Why you should downloadIf you surf like me it’s good to know when to come up it’s very accurate and has never let me down. It’s very good for giving you lots of info on swell and gives you a map of every beach near you with surf. So if you’re on holidays like I was I can simply zoom out and see every beach and the app tells me how big the waves are and recommends beaches.Version: 7.7.3

Great little appMy son has recently got into surfing so MSW tells is when and where the surf is As an open water swimmer it’s good to be able to know when it is going to be safe to swim. MSW gives you just the info you need to tell you whether it is worth heading down to the beach for a swim.Version: 7.8.0

Magic seaweedVery useful. I run the open water scuba diving for a local club and find the site very helpful in picking calm sites! A button to toggle between US numbers and metric would be handy..Version: 7.8.4

My go to source for beach infoI’ve used various different sources over the years and that stretches back to the 2d tide tables. MSW allows me to quickly determine what to expect from my pilgrimage to the sea. I’m afraid my glass half full thoughts are unable to improve the accuracy of the MSW forecast for the surf conditions, but that still doesn’t stop me hoping 🤣 Feedback would be to include the equivalent of the volume control on my phone, so that I can increase the height of waves 🙄.Version: 7.7.3

Wow I likeIs so good I like use it all the time thank.Version: 7.7.3

Great app for beginnersGreat app that’s easy to understand for beginners but I would like to see more beginners friendly beaches mapped. For example, in Perth (West Aus), Key West at Mullaloo is a popular beginners beach that lessons are often available at. A forecast for here would be perfect before surfers move on to Trigg and Scarborough and busier places..Version: 7.6.4

Good presentation of mostly accurate dataNo an easy feat to provide perfectly accurate surf forecasting for my area (NJ), however MSW seems to do a good enough job getting the gist across. The charts are high quality and they give you a good idea of what’s going on out there. wind is tough to forecast around here sometimes so I don’t want to blame them when their forecast is wrong but some real-time updates would be nice. like when it says it should be blowing 9mph SW but it’s actually blowing 30 mph ESE. Pretty frustrating. All the forecast tables are very user friendly and In depth however I really dislike the 6am 12pm 6pm layout. I think it would just make so much more sense to have 12am in there. even though you might not want to get out there and surf at 12am it’s still important to know what’s going on, I also think it just makes more sense report on even six hour intervals. Food for thought. Great app overall. Just wanna see some waze type of interactive live forecasting and a slightly more sensible forecasting table..Version: 7.2.2

Best app everSo me and my dad are surfers are this app is so good but sometimes it can get it wrong but not to many times so on the iPad that we have we had that app for about 3years and it works well and I have had this app for about 7weeks not too sure but yeah it work well and everything 🥰.Version: 7.1.1

Awesome app!Been following the seaweed for years now, my first port of call for checking surf and weather for my next trip. As well as having accurate surf reports I also find the weather prediction much better than most other weather apps. Great work guys..Version: 7.7.3

Great source of weather informationI have got back into surfing recently and I source my weather forecast from magic seaweed. I have so far made just a few surfing trips based on MSW forecast and I have found it quite reliable. I think the information provided about wind speed direction and projected wave period and height is quite enough to plan ahead a surfing trip and I find the dashboard visually appealing and easily accessible..Version: 7.2.2

Magic Seaweed Surf ForecastThe best Surf forecast I have used. I like the realistic wave height and tide times / weather all in one place. The Stormrider spot guides are often really useful for new locations. Surfcams are great for last minute checks but knowing if a current report without the cam is based on solid eyeball would be reassuring. I have driven hours in the past, only to find the gorecast was a big fat lie... not MSW though- high confidence in most forecasts... we are talking about mother nature after all!!! 😁.Version: 7.6.2

Very useful app for BaliMSW provides an excellent service related to forecast and general conditions. The live camera view at multiple spots also helps greatly when piecing together a game plan on where to surf..Version: 7.8.0

Very helpfulPretty good app to get a quick sense of what’s expected from the surf. Tide forecast would greatly help in getting a better sense of the conditions near my favourite spot..Version: 7.8.0

Better than expectedReally pleased with the accuracy of the for casting for my location at Phillip island. Easy to use with the right amount of detail. My only criticism is I would like to have the choice of wind speed in Koh with wave heights in feet. Cheers.Version: 7.2.2

My go-to surf checkI’m not very technically minded, so I don’t use the app to its full potential. Just being able to see the wind and swell direction plus tide and wave heights is enough for me to quickly workout when and where I’ll be surfing over the coming 4 days. Oh, and there’s a star rating system for each 3hr bracket. Michael T Sunshine Coast, QLD.Version: 7.8.0

DecentI like this app because of the good features it has, but the forecasts can sometimes be wrong. At least it doesn’t make you pay to view the surf more then 5 times *cough* *cough* Surfline..Version: 7.6.1

Just the best appEver since getting Magic Seaweed- I can’t imagine being without it…. Incredibly informative- the cameras too are amazing in the locations that have them. So worth upgrading to Pro to access this feature. Makes you feel really connected to the sea and all your favourite spots. Even when u can’t manage to get to them for a surf….!.Version: 7.8.0

Quality and Really Useful, Couldn't be without itGreat app, really useful and helps me know where to go for the best surf, also being able to see it on the cam is amazing! Not always 100% accurate but very close most of the time and accurate the others. When I've got time for a session, it's the first thing I reach for, couldn't be without it! Awesome MSW 😀.Version: 6.2.0

Great appGreat for everything surf related! Would be great if there were a few more coaching points about how to understand the information for the novice! Other than that it’s very user friendly too..Version: 7.8.1

Love the starsI like the interface and the stars. I wish it had a way to sort for the best spot at a certain time and day. I have lots of favorites but really only interested in the ones nearby today. Also it would be nice to have an indicator of how choppy and messed up it’s going to be. You should be able to tell by the timing of the swell..Version: 7.8.0

ChangesI do rely heavily on Magic Seaweed and the information is largely accurate (but good local knowledge is necessary to interpret what is on the screen) and the historical information is really good when planning a getaway which came in really useful going to New Zealand last November. The only complaint I have is changing of the navigation of the site, I don’t think it is as rapid to negotiate round as the previous version. Apart from that it is great..Version: 7.5.0

Love the app, worth every pennyI’ve used magic seaweed for years, all around the world and love it. It’s my go to for checking my local surf breaks and it’s an brilliant tool. I use it for kayaking as well where wind and tides play the biggest part. I see a few people grumble about having to pay. Arh boo hoo. I’ll crack out my worlds smallest violin for you’s. It’s unfair to grumble as for years MS has been free. The time and money to set the site up and run it Magic Seaweed derserve to turn revenue. Plus the costs only work out as the equivalent of a bar and half of wax a month in costs, which is nothing compared to what we get. With the ease of use, the long range forecast and the cameras it’s my number one app on the phone. Plus it saves me a fortune in fuel as don’t need to nip and check my spots. Highly recommended!.Version: 7.8.0

Great AppGreat for forecasting but don’t really trust the wind readings as they’re not consistently accurate. Wish there was a longer forecast on the free version but it’s great all the same.Version: 7.8.0

Looking good from afarDifficult to figure out the app and get it to work but once it works camera clarity is very good thanks Still learning the app.Version: 7.8.2

MSWThis is amazing! easy to understand and use. Super reliable too! Many options/features that let u see ahead into the forecast makes planning a trip such a breeze, definitely would recommend!.Version: 6.6.1

Old Surf DudeI like using Magic Seaweed because it’s always true to it’s reporting. I can trust that when I head out for a session, that I’m not going to be disappointed and fun waves are to be had. Another great quality about MSW is the fact that you can setup pin points for your favorite breaks so that when you’re looking to find a particular break and how it’s working, wether traveling or in your local area, you can quickly make an informed decision to head to your favorite spot for the best action. The MSW app is always up to date and working properly..Version: 7.8.0

Love itThis is a great tool and I plan my week around it - great work. Any chance you can include sea temperature?.Version: 7.8.0

Don’t leave us like this!!There’s no other app around that is as clear, concise and generally accurate as MSW. Why must you end it like this??? Time to give up on surfing apps 😪.Version: 7.8.5

Great app!The pro feature with extended forecast is awesome and the star rating is really helpful. However, I have used it for a while now and still don’t know what it means when stars are faded compared to solid. Also would like a better way of looking at a region on the map and knowing where has the best waves for the day..Version: 6.6.1

Best surf forecast appI’ve used countless surf forecasting apps and this one is the best, free to use, forecast have all been accurate and great especially for Scottish beaches usually not many show up on other apps but this has virtually every surfing spot in the country. Also super easy to check out different countries and as it gives you a weeks forecast I’ve been able to gage the best beaches to go when on vacation as well!.Version: 7.7.3

Amazing AppSuch an incredible tool for planning our surf days!.Version: 7.8.3

AmazingSick app, get to plan my surf trips with confidence that it will actually be pumping, can be a little off sometimes but it’s the best app so far, 100% from me🤙.Version: 6.9.0

Wave checkLove checking the swell forecast with my son. He’s so pumped on surfing..Version: 7.6.3

Where is Jones Beach State Park?I appreciate the info you provide to surfers; it is typically correct & useful. I live & surf year-round in Long Beach, NY. I have worked weekends as an ocean lifeguard & surfed during the summers at Jones Beach State Park, Robert Moses State Park, & Hither Hills State Park for the past 48 years. You may not be aware that your map places Jones Beach State Park incorrectly. West End, which is correctly located on your map is the west end of Jones Beach State Park. The east end of Jones Beach State Park is about 3-4 miles west of Tobay Beach, which is also correctly positioned on your map..Version: 7.3.0

Most accurate surf appThe fact that this is available for free, essentially anywhere in the world, and covers a significant percentage of all Surf breaks is amazing. I’m only giving it four stars because the accuracy can still fluctuate more than is desirable, but it is absolutely better than nothing and hopefully your team will continue to work to improve its accuracy, as it is already a very valuable tool in surf forecasting.Version: 7.8.0

Could add a couple little things to top this app offI liked that Nobby beach had a description and difficulty rating at the bottom( good little feature) Maybe have more facts about other beaches for travellers looking for a spot Might be a bit far fetched but maybe for those of us that use the app for spearfishing too could add a water clarity section or something to help us with our favourite spots Otherwise it’s the go to app for finding a slab to ride for the weekend Thanks fellas.Version: 7.8.2

Awesome app to check surf forecastI’ve only begun using this app as I’ve started learning to surf and finding it really handy to help predict best days to go out.Version: 7.5.0

Pretty good app but a few bugs annoy...Favourites sometimes doesn't work and often doesn't add breaks even when you've paid. Doesn't always work between different it platforms. I have pad and phone and cannot get favourites on both platforms. Otherwise pretty good and accurate. Update - Jan 18. Recent updates have sorted the favourites bug and works well on both platforms. Have fully moved to MS now Eyeball has been taken over by Surfline, which has become rubbish! MS usually accurate which gives me confidence as I have to drive 4hrs to get to my favourite breaks. But wish the webcams were better so only 4 stars due to that..Version: 6.1.1

Good basic infoI don’t understand a lot of the intricacies of Surf reports so I am basically looking at things like water temperature, wave height, and wind direction. Magic SeaweedProvides all of that and more in a basic easy to access app. I appreciate that I can get the basic information for free. Other apps and programs charge money for basically the same information and seem to have more complicated programs..Version: 7.2.1

Way better than surflineThe forecast is accurate most of the time, and that’s from someone who lives in a very fickle and spotty area. Much better of a deal than surfline is. If you’re between the two, this is definitely the better option in my opinion. My only issue with it is that sometimes the cams go down for weeks on end and I have to go to the websites the cams are streamed from to see the live feed..Version: 7.7.1

Some webcams downSince the price on increase MSW needs to get on top of the times when cams go down for various reasons. It will be interesting during the winter to see if this improves over last year when I can think of at least a few times when cams had been down for a few weeks at a time..Version: 7.8.0

Easy to useThis app is great! Super easy to use and accurate with the forecast.Version: 7.6.0

Very accurate forecastingI appreciate how accurate you guys are compared to Surfline in the Oregon area. I wish you guys had more cams to view in the Oregon area though. I feel like the star system is hard to gauge at times too, I’ve been on days where it was forecasted at 5 stars that were much worse than 3 star days so to somehow streamline that would be helpful. Thanks for all you guys do though.Version: 7.4.1

Great resourceAll the information you need, most importantly: accurate!.Version: 7.8.3

Sand hopperI use Magic seaweed as I live in Jersey where we have the second largest tidal range in the world. I watch the beach 24 hours a day , so lockdown could have been so much worse! I love swimming, kayaking, fast RIBs and low water fishing, for all of which I consult Magic Seaweed on a daily basis. Sadly, I have no surfing ability....but can’t have everything! 🇯🇪🐂🥔🏊‍♀️🚤🛶.Version: 7.3.0

Really goodI wish the forecast had the tides in it. All in one page..Version: 7.6.3

Great AppVery user friendly and easy to navigate. A feature which would be great for the future, would be favourite beaches wave height alerts. Getting a notification to say “Beach X, Y & Z are forecasting 4-5ft waves at 6pm on Tuesday” would be mega helpful and save having to scroll through each forecast daily looking for waves. Other than that, the app is awesome. Keep up the great work!.Version: 7.7.3

Great as an overviewSome surfers can be a bit snobby about MSW, but as an overview I think it does the job well. Sure you can get more detailed info from other sources, and it’s not always 100% accurate - intricacies of local surf often defy logic. But as a simple, easy to understand, all in one tool to plan ahead (and at least know whether it’s worth making the trip to check out the swell), MSW is my go to..Version: 7.4.0

Mainly awesome, but webcam view on iPad not expanding to full page.Mainly awesome but had to subscribe to get webcam feature to work - which is extremely handy to see conditions at my local beaches (Joss & Viking bays in Kent). However, on my iPad the view of webcams it does not go to full screen. It does work via the safari browser though - so not the end of the world - and means I can have multiple tabs open - to view both at the touch of one button..Version: 7.7.3

Reeeaaaalllllyyyyy easy to useThe app is really easy to use and gives me the correct surf conditions all the time. Would recommend no.1. Better than any other surf app..Version: 7.6.1

CoolMorbius intrigued me because of its underlying story that gave a thoughtful and pervasive comment on George Floyd’s death aswell as the holocaust. The story is a fresh take and can be compared to The Godfather, apocalypse now, and the emoji movie some of the all time classic of our generation. Rumor is that ray liottas actual cause of death was at his utter sexual thrills being met by the movie, he could not survive the morbussy. My morbussy was soaked by the time ended and everytime I finger myself now I will be thinking of the movie..Version: 7.7.3

Surf ReportThank you for the service.Version: 7.4.1

It’s great for all skill levelsI Have just started surfing and a mate of mine recommended magic seaweed and to be completely honest , this app has helped so much in learning how surf forecasts work. The easy colour coding and the basic estimate on wave size is great for beginners and the extra info to choose ur perfect surf day is great for all skills ..Version: 7.2.1

Great VisibilityAll my areas are visible and the forecast is bang on! Great tool and covers everything I need to make a quick call on getting to the water..Version: 7.6.2

MSWGreat surf app with plenty of info even in the free version!.Version: 7.7.3

Great easy surf report. Gets you there. It’s my first look every time..Version: 7.8.1

Magic seaweedEasy to use app for fast information on local and worldwide breaks..Version: 7.6.4

Great App!Very useful! And a wonderful user interface!.Version: 7.8.3

Global surfingGood app. Usually pretty right on with the forecast as well !!.Version: 7.8.0

Great app!No complaints!.Version: 7.8.4

Historical dataI would like to see an option to visit the historical data of any location more graphically?.Version: 7.2.2

I can't predict the surf......but this app can. Accurately, and with the free 7 day forecast it's easy to plan your next session in advance. A must have for any surfer, beginner to pro. Magic Seaweed will help you understand the best times for you to get in the water at your favourite spots with loads of different weather, wind and swell stats. Don't delay, get the Magic Seaweed app today!.Version: 7.7.1

Great appGreat app for surfers. Top notch reporting and access to surf cams, tide times, weather and wind reports/forecasts. Use this on almost a daily basis. Only thing I wish you did was an app for the Apple Watch to go along side this, similar to surf watch or dawn patrol apps where they provide complications on your watch with surf height, tide times for locations etc. Those other apps have their problems but knowing MSW you would make a good job of this! Would be nice to have it included in the pro membership..Version: 7.3.0

Great appAwesome app and good coverage of my local spots.Version: 7.8.4

PLEASE ADD NOTIFICATIONSI like most of y’all check MSW every day, but yall need to add the option of notifications when the swell is up in your area. You can add sliders to how big you want it to get before you are notified/ wind conditions etc. I surf, fish, skim pretty much every hobby i have is on the water and it would just be nice when im busy to have a notification go off and tell me a strong S wind is coming in if i got a early morning fishing trip planned..Version: 7.7.3

Amazing, and I don’t even surf anymore!Love the web-cams, and being able to see my fave spots in real-time. If I was still heading-out (ahhh, the good old days!) the I don’t think it would be humanly possible to provide any more info than I would need. Keep up the great work!!.Version: 7.8.0

MSW surf AppMagicSeaWeed is a great app for aspiring young groms like myself, it gives you an accurate review of the swell, wind levels, wind direction all over the globe, to add to this, it gives the forecast for the whole week, and it’s own traffic light system telling you whether it’s worth going to the beach! My problem with MSW is that, it’s not totally accurate all of the time, it’s much more efficient to pop down to the beach and check the surf, MSW sometimes estimates the wind levels too high. I understand that if you don’t live near the beach, it is easier to look at an app on your mobile phone, than to drive 3 hours to check the swell. Overall I think it’s an excellent app with some things it could change to improve it..Version: 7.6.0

Excellent, accurate information.Such a fab site that gives me local information that is accurate and efficient enough to know when to swim, or not! It’s clear and easy to use/understand too. I hope there are even more locations added eventually..Version: 7.8.0

Great reportsGreat reports, it’s free and you can add as many locations as needed. Always accurate with water temp and swell too.Version: 7.7.3

Brilliant appMy mate told me to use this app as I’m new to surfing so when I was trying to plan trips away for a weekend, he actually said to me, to check the forecast of the waves and stuff on there so now every time I think of going I subconsciously look throughout the week to see how it’s doing! Rather than going in blind so this for me has been a big help in my new journey..Version: 7.6.4

MoroccoBeen to some obscure places, knowing the swell and having some direction helps a great deal. Hoping your forecast is accurate for the coming groundswell..Version: 7.8.0

Swell alerts would be... swell. Not sure if MSW are on this already or not, but notifications on your phone of any incoming swell in areas that you register interest in, would be amazing. You’d never miss a swell. Imagine being able to set parameters to be notified on. For e.g being able to set “Thurso” under your favourites, and then “alert me if swell forecast is 4’+” or “3stars or more...”. Would be amazing. Other than that, I love MSW. Reports are getting increasingly accurate, to mostly being reliable, which is an amazing feat..Version: 6.7.0

Great appVery intuitive interface, and reliable forecasts, with lots of information, even in the free version: swell height and direction, wind strength and direction, and surf height at specific spots. I'm giving it 4 stars though, because the wind information, which is also colour cosed, is not always consistent, e.g. red is used for strong or onshore winds, but not all the time..Version: 7.7.1

Beach fishing in East Yorkshire. As a long time beach fisherman in and around East Yorkshire I find M.S.W. is invaluable in planning a trip to the coast. I like the fact that you get an hour by hour report of the wave height, direction of the sets and wind direction. I found the tide times and size in metres give me an insight of where to fish on the day, I.E. on big tides you will get washed off on certain beaches. To sum up, “ A great app to have on your phone”. Steve T..Version: 7.7.1

Works wellGreat app, I use it all the time!.Version: 7.8.0

HelpfulGreat app.Version: 7.7.3

W appOng amazing app love it.Version: 7.8.0

Does everything you need to find a waveLiving inland as I do i rely on MSW to decide when to commit to driving to the coast.... it hasn’t let me down yet. However …Really disappointed at the 150% cost increase. Look forward to seeing what extra features we get for this price hike..Version: 7.8.0

Only surf report I checkEasy to use app. Always reliable and informative. Wouldn’t use any other application..Version: 7.3.1

Reliable forecastsI surf the east coast of Victoria, Point Leo to Flinders. Generally if the forecast is positive on MSW the actuality matches it. I find wind direction is accurate as is tides, very important in this part of the world. Stories and photos are also a good look if you can’t get in the water. Good work..Version: 7.7.3

Love MSW!!Great website, I check it all the time to see what’s going with the waves I wanna surf.Version: 7.8.1

Amazing app. Easy to use!Great app!! Highly recommend for surfers..Version: 7.8.0

Consistently accurateMSW consistently gets 8 out of ten points for accuracy. And that’s the BEST anyone should reasonably expect unless you are living at the break that’s being forecasted. For a model based system, they are the very best IMO. Sand, currents and wave directions do shift quickly which always alters current local conditions. Model based interpolations can’t be expected to reflect those nuances. While driving to your local break for a look works best for me, the combination of MSW and another site called “Windy” work great in tandem. Although both use different base data to create their respective models, and both are the best at what they do, combining each on any given day gives me the best model based analysis..Version: 7.8.0

Amazing appThis app is an amazing app if you are either getting into surfing or already started surfing, it shows you everything you need to know about the surf swell, the wind and everything else that you want to see as well as the extra few things like a camera to show you the current surf and that is why I have used this app so frequently because it is the best app on App Store for surfing.Version: 7.3.1

Magic Seaweed across the globeI use this app to post sea conditions to my Triathlon training group in Port Elizabeth South Africa. My location is in Western Australia. With the 6 hr time difference it makes it easy to forward weather/sea/wind forecasts to the group from my remote location. Excellent source of information. Locally we use this app as a planner for our swimming, diving and small craft activities..Version: 7.7.1

Helping travelling surfers find surf!Combining MagicSeaweed with local weather observations is a great way to target new locations and build knowledge of where to go and when to be there 🥳.Version: 7.8.0

Great app for checking on forecast conditionsHave enjoyed using the app - have not found it to be fairly accurate - it’s a good indicator of future conditions and let’s me plan surfs in advance..Version: 7.6.3

YeahAlways keep an eye on the app to see what is coming..Version: 7.7.1

Not a surfer...But I love to watch them. We don’t get much of that on the Gulf of Mexico. I do like to walk on the beach every morning. I check this app for where the tide is (high or low makes a huge difference on the walk) I also like to go early so I check to see first light and sunrise. Finally on my Saturday morning beach read-a-thon, I can check and see where to put my chair so I don’t have to move 10 times. I have used so many other tide apps but this is by far the very best, and you don’t have to be a surfer to appreciate!.Version: 7.7.1

Almost perfectFor the most part I love this app and use it daily. However there are two annoying things I would love to see fixed. 1. When I switch to fullscreen webcam on my iPad I have to turn the iPad upside down in order to watch the webcam. Seems silly. It would also be nice to have a landscape view of the app so I can continue using my iPad as normal when checking the app. 2. It would be great if I could create a custom order for the favorite spots list. Thanks for your hard work on this app. I hope it continues to improve! 🤙.Version: 7.3.1

Love itLove Magic Seaweed... living a bit further from the coast than I’d like, Magic Seaweed makes it super easy to plan a quick trip down the coast for surf a few days in advanced with accurate swell forecasts. Use it all the time!.Version: 7.6.1

Amazing info! It’s accurate and shows the best swell so you could go rip up some waves. Love this, life saver!.Version: 7.8.4

Sarf til ya barfSuper spot on surf reports in most parts of the world. Currently in Nicaragua and it’s predicting the swell like Gandalf casts spells. Might even read up on things like directions and winds and swell periods one day when I pull my finger out..Version: 7.7.3

Accuracy in forecastingI discovered Magic Seaweed ten years ago when a friend showed my their forecast for next day. The service I’d been using predicted 2-3 feet swell, NSW predicted 4-6 feet. Turned out MSW was spot on, and it has been every time since then. Great predictive ability, and realistic calling wave size..Version: 7.8.3

Surf camsI switched over to magic seaweed when the surf stitch app got shut down. It’s layout was pretty spot on. You guys were the next best option. Can you provide a link to local surf cams?.Version: 7.8.0

My Go-To ForecasterWhere all else fails, MSW rises above a sea of inaccurate predictions and over priced models. I always preferred magic seaweed over the others, but when swellinfo went down for a few years and Surfline locked anything beyond a 2 day forecast behind a paywall the choice became a no brainer. Simple and clean layout, and it’s easy to find any info you need within. Highly recommend..Version: 7.7.2

JoshGreat app. Use it all the time..Version: 7.7.3

What the locals checkWe love this app!!!! Find a webcam nearby and use it with this app to see if the report is true. Also really helps narrow down which days to pay attention to. We (my 8 year old surfs with me) check this app during the week and first thing when the weekend hits so we know what boards to bring. Haven’t gone to the Pro version yet but I’m so impressed with the free version that we’ll have to give the seven day trail a shot..Version: 7.7.3

BeginnerSo far gives me a good idea of when is good to go out even as a beginner.Version: 7.8.0

Easy to useSo far rate the app. Only thing that isn’t the best is getting notifications to give feedback for every interaction.Version: 7.5.0

Love ItPros: long forecast, pretty accurate, mostly free, chill, doesn’t list a lot of local spots on map (have to look them up by name) which forces you to get to know the local community and culture more personally (if you weren’t already) if you want to know the spots, the name of the app Cons: No surf cams, no local/written reports; just data, misleading star ratings for spots on any given day (local reports or better system would give more relative/subjective ratings to the individual swell, could be accompanied by an objective universal rating), Overall, great app, but has much opportunity to grow..Version: 7.6.2

Get it and get out there!Seems to be all but spot on most of the time which is good when planning long distance trips in advance!.Version: 7.8.0

Such an awesome app!!!I love this app. Just one feature that would be super helpful would be the display of star ratings for each location on the map so when you search the local area you are able to easily see where the best waves are going to be. Keep you the great work..Version: 6.6.1

Really usefulGreat app with some good information - would benefit from: 1. Color coding the surf spots on the map, ie green, orange, red to show where to go 2. Using the above information, be able to change the time to see which areas are getting better or worse without having to delve into all the individual details 3. A simple key showing what all the information means.Version: 7.8.0

Good appGood app with pretty good predictions of surf conditions. Recent problem: being pressured to start paying, once in a while I am blocked from seeing the forecast. But I wait, and then it’s back to normal. Other than that it's awesome..Version: 7.5.0

Magic seaweedBest surfing site ever it helps me so much like sometimes I’m like I want to go for a surf and say but what if the surf is bad then I say MAGIC SEAWEED it will help me so every day at 5:00in the morning I check my favourite surf stop and it tells me.Version: 7.8.0

Flats710Good sometimes varies from other local reports, but that’s the difficult task of forecasting... both MSW and others both face this difficult challenge. well done, good resource to use world wide as one of the tools.Version: 7.5.0

All you need to stay up to date with all things surfing.Great App! Fast, accurate and up to date information on current weather / wave conditions in your local surf spot or favorite spots around the globe. The news feed section provides interesting stories, videos and pictures that essentially serve as a quality surf magazine. A comments section helps connect you to the social media side of surfing as well..Version: 7.7.3

Great App!Love that so many more beaches have been added. Really easy to use and pretty accurate..Version: 7.2.0

Decade campaignThis app it a vital component in my quest to get my kids away from screens and onto boards. It has taken 10 years, but yesterday they were both shredding all by themselves, and having the best time. Kids don’t like getting dumped. Picking the right condition with the app was vital to getting the surf vibe right to hook em!.Version: 7.7.1

Great free surf appThis is like Surfline but free! Forecasts are excellent and being able to track your favourite breaks is awesome. Yes there could be more breaks but overall it’s solid and you can use your own skills to adjust the forecast for other close by breaks that are not listed..Version: 7.7.3

Great siteGreat site for a quick surf check..Version: 7.6.3

Good valuePaid for the app for some time now. Always good value. Use this every day. I understand some frustration on having to pay for cameras now but it takes a lot of professional resource to provide this service and product and that doesn’t come for free..Version: 7.7.1

Sea swimming confident!I have really enjoyed using this App since I started sea swimming recently. I have learnt so much about the swell and the surf and not to just see “flat” and think the sea is flat! Go into the “forecast” option and get a breakdown of exactly what the sea will be like when you get there. There is also wind direction and speed and about a week’s forecast. Really pleased! 👍🏼.Version: 7.5.0

Everything i need!Works great. perfect for tidepool hunting..Version: 7.7.2

Best surf app ever!So much better than any surf forecast app i’ve ever tried. i’m not a huge surfer, but i like to look at the forecast and plan when i can go ride the waves. with magicseaweed, it’s so much easier to plan and with this app then any other. it’s so easy and so accurate! the only complaint i have is it’s in celsius instead of fahrenheight, which is announcing because you have to google the conversions, but it’s the best and i totally recommend! ;).Version: 6.5.3

Please keep exactly as is!Please don’t change anything!!! Really really appreciate that you give a week long forecast for free… Big kudos to you & the team!!!.Version: 7.6.2

Maps to spots are rad!Really appreciate the maps and overview of spots. Growing up in a heavily localized area you were told to keep quiet about spot locations. You folks have opened the doors and changed the game. Don’t have to waste hours trying to locate spots anymore. Times are changing and folks are being more open with their local surf breaks. Ignore the haters and keep up the good work.Version: 7.6.3

Great appBeen using this app for a few years and have been loving it. I use it at home to help me with surfing the greats. It’s more helpful when I’m away and in the ocean but still great regardless.Version: 7.7.3

One of the bestNeed just optimize the reports of remote spots. I mean, provide more details..Version: 7.8.1

Holiday SaverWe have had moment when we’ve went down to the beach or a near hot spot for surfing at times when surfing is at large on to be disappointed with working against the waves or the water just being too calm. This has definitely saved us many journeys and has many many more successful ones happen. I don’t have the purchased version but the free one is good enough to be able to plan the weekend ahead for some surfing. Love the app and the detail that’s included I’m sure for anyone more professional they would probably buy the full version/subscription since I do see it’s worth..Version: 7.7.1

Best App everIf you are a surfer this is the app you want because it shows you the best places too surf and it shows you how big the waves are out and how windy it is it shows you 𝕡𝕚𝕔𝕥𝕦𝕣𝕖𝕤 of professionals on surf boards itssss just soooooo cooooool 🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄🏿🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄🏿🏄🏿🏄🏿🏄🏿🏄🏿🏄🏿🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄‍♂️🏄🏿🏄‍♂️😎😒😎🙁🙁😎😎😎😎😎😎😎🥸😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎🥸🥸🥸😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎😎 just trust me if you are a surfer you want this app i,m only 8 years old and i love this app because i lovvvvve surfin so much even my mom and dad have this app because its awsome surfs up and plus no adds for free..Version: 7.6.2

SurfThanks. Love knowing accurate tides and winds..Version: 7.8.1

Excellent appThe app makes my morning surf routine super easy. Not sure about the weather, it shows me everything I need to know. Sometimes is in accurate due to where I surf, however for the most part it is really good.Version: 7.1.1

Definitely buy this!It is an amazing app and it is a big change from having to search up the beaches each time. The one problem I have is the “favourites” system. Note to developers: I have experienced some glitches with the system in the form of incorrect messages e.g. when I add a beach to favourites, it will say that there has been an error and yet when I check on the favourites bar, it is there. Overall, great app, please buy!!.Version: 7.2.2

Great, but not for poor surfersIf youre a skint surfer this app gets frustrating, you kinda feel they could be a bit less mean, you really need to pay to get the best experience here, if you cant pay, well ... find a surfin mate who has plenty of cash and use their MSW. Else, sit through big bundles of adverts and dont try to do anything in a hurry..Version: 7.6.2
