Waze Navigation & Live Traffic for Positive User Reviews

Great App. Really Like it.Been using the app for a year plus now. Fantastic for everything that I’ve used it for so far. Consistently good performance. Community reporting feature is great in keeping drivers informed and up to speed on road conditions. The only improvements that I feel are needed, is to make it easier to report accidents and issues on the road. The report button is too small, and then the options are too many. Takes your concentration away from the road. I would also like to see a button in the app to report speed cameras. Seems like a huge omission to me. Additionally, it tends to only report cameras on your side of the road, however, take a trip on some roads, and you’ll notice cameras that catch traffic travelling in both directions..Version: 4.97

Great appLove love love it!.Version: iOS 4.29

Great navigation and traffic - poor BluetoothBeen a Wazer for a number of years now and swear by it, particularly for regular journeys on known routes where there is likely to be traffic issues to avoid and getting to football matches on time. One niggle though and this has been an issue on my current car (2016 BMW 2 series gran tourer) and previous car (2012 Vauxhall Astra) - the Bluetooth connectivity is erratic: it always cuts off the first second or two of navigation instruction speech when the car radio is on, or no radio is on. It does work fine if playing when using the iPhone as an audio source, ie iTunes or another app, it actually fades the sound out and the navigation over it, as you’d expect. When on radio setting it just cuts across it completely, but misses the first word or two. Also, actually connecting it to Bluetooth is temperamental, regularly there is no sound at all, this is when charging the iPhone via the lightening/USB port whilst trying to navigate using Bluetooth. It is difficult to force a Bluetooth connection as it defaults to a dock connection and cannot be overridden. Generally I find myself unplugging the charger a lot and even stopping the ignition to try and reset. A friend with a VW Golf and iPhone also has the same issues. I’m on an iPhone X and always update to the latest iOS software and latest version of Waze straight away..Version: 4.51

Best GPSI LIKE HOW IT SHOWS YOU THE ROAD WORK AND YOUR SPEED LIMIT 🙌🏽😁.Version: 4.69.2

Fantastic appEasy to use, great accuracy.Version: 4.36

Good all round app, but getting directions isn’t always shortest route possibleI’ve used this app for more than a year or two, I enjoy the features it offers like traffic awareness and a point system, but I have realised that when I place my destination the app does not always offer the closest and shortest route, and when I go against its other route options which only vary by 1 street difference, I knock off about 6 minutes off my trip until I go far enough that it re routes and finds my route. I enjoy this app when it works, but unfortunately I think there might be something wrong with the route generator.Version: 4.49

Not always the best routeI’ve noticed that Waze does not always choose the best route. Not sure what your algorithm is but if often happens that I ignore the route suggested by Waze and continue driving while it recalculates only to discover the new suggested route (that I am now on) actually has a faster arrival time to my destination. I don’t understand why Waze didn’t choose that route in the first place. Also, as a feature, it would be nice to be able to turn off the auto-centering so that I can use the arrows to scroll through the map and see potential problem areas along the route. Right now it’s a real hassle to do this because Waze constantly re-centers the map to where the car is when I try to go beyond a certain pount..Version: 4.57

One of the best if not the best GPS appsBasically my title summed it up. The Waze app is one of the best if not the best GPS app available to the public and amazingly free I shouldn’t of said that too loud I don’t want to give them any ideas. I just moved into a new home in a very new subdivision and ran google maps,Bing maps, maps and a couple of others none of the other GPS apps could find my new house but guess what the Waze app pinpointed it directly took me right to it! Seriously though the Waze app gives you real time information as it is occurring due to the fact it’s interactive with other users. Not only do you get directions from point a to point B Waze gives you a choice of three different routes and you choose the one you think would be best tells you the time it would take to do it how far it is tells you what obstructions you might encounter along the way. The app allows you in real time to post accident stead of just occurred where police are hidden shooting radar tells you what speed the traffic is moving in a traffic jam it’s a pretty accurate app as long as other users are updating events as they occur. To sum it Up the Waze app is outstanding.Version: 4.50

By far the best navigation app!Very useful, makes life easier and gets u there faster. Recomend it! One suggestion I can make it is having ability to more than one stop in between final destination ;).Version: 4.51.2

Great but listen to the usersI’ve been using this app for about a year now and love it in my local areas. However like a lot of people when navigating new areas it’s hard to use, with last second route changes, no lane warnings, and the crashes on apple CarPlay it makes it a little more difficult to use. If those problems could be addressed then Waze would be a solid 5/5. I love that I’m told my speed and speed zones, camera/police warnings, and the user based information to get the fastest real-time road conditions. Those are super helpful features and make peakhour much less of a headache..Version: 4.52

Best maps app - Useless for closed roadsPlease fix this. The interface for reporting a closed road simply does not work! I’ve yet to successfully report a closed road. When trying to select the closed road it doesn’t even let me select the main road, only the dead-end side streets which is absolutely infuriating! No way to go back and report it either. I can see a huge queue of cars having to turn around but can’t use waze to warm them... 👎 Maybe a consequence of the impossible road closed interface leads to the following: Most of the time it doesn’t know when a road is closed, or even when it’s open! It’s tried to take me on closed motorways with scheduled roadworks... (Freely available info on highways agency websites) and it’s also claimed a dual carriageway was closed when it wasn’t, then proceeded to try and recalculated to make me exit the “closed” road at every single exit for 10 miles. Which is quite annoying, as it mutes music whilst it makes the “recalculating noise”. Also there’s no way to report if a road has been falsely reported as closed. I’ve had to switch to competitor apps to finish my journey on these occasions, which is a very bad sign. Great to see traffic ahead on motorway and objects on the road... but that’s about it.Version: 4.88

Awesome AppFirst of all, let me tell you that I have been using Navigation App’s in UK as a lorry driver. For lorry’s, Waze is not good due to the restrictions that apply to HGV and there’s nothing to help you set up a safe journey. On the other hand, it’s very useful and reliable for normal cars. The live traffic updates and the alerts inserted in the App by other users are normally very useful. Of course there are some false information inserted, by what can you expect? Not everyone is decent and it’s free. Congratulations to the Waze developers and i have one suggestion for future updates: try to insert a payment feature to stop the unnecessary adds that are popping up from time to time. It can become really annoying and in my case, I would rather pay for not having to deal with it. All together, great job and keep on doing what you doing..Version: 4.47

Best navigation app out thereBeen using this app for years now. Try it if you're using google or apple maps and drive often - you won’t regret it 😎.Version: 4.89

CarPlay needs improvingLove the app on my iPhone but with the new release on CarPlay, not so good on the Volkswagen App. There are some bugs and improvements that need to be made. When you don’t have any directions entered, speed limit displays intermittently but no speedo. When directions are entered, you can see the top of the speed limit symbol but it’s covered over by the black bubble that displays your next turn, still no speedo. You cannot select other wazers on the screen nor can you select any other things like petrol stations, police, accidents etc. Basically, functionality is very limited. I love this app on my phone and it would be great to have all the functions of the phone on the cars display..Version: 4.43.5.0

WAZE is my road buddy.I really like the WAZE app. I use it all the time. It is great for turn by turn audio directions that keeps me hands free. The learning curve is fairly easy and the app features and interface have been consistent which is great because having to learn new and improved stuff while actually driving isn’t the best. I frequently drive up and down the whole west coast and WAZE is a lifesaver for re-routing around traffic jams and knowing what the speed limit is in an area as they seem to change a lot. ** The reporting system could be streamlined a little to make it easier to report the most common incidents on the home screen and the detailed hazard reports do not allow for some common issues: people on side of road, weather issues that impact safety/visibility like severe rain/lightning/ road ice and to easily report changes in speed limit signs. It would also be nice to be able to mark a hazard location when “out of signal” that would pop up when reconnected. **We really enjoy the occasional “guest” reporting voices ( Star Wars, Cars, Coke Santa) it would be fun to do the same and have some seasonal options with the Wazer profile avatars too! Overall WAZE is my road buddy and is my go to app. for driving directions..Version: 4.42

Better than the old CB days.Waze is a user based traffic information app. It does rely upon users to report traffic conditions, construction, accidents and police. As a user passes by a reported problem, he can say Thank You, indicating the condition exists, or No longer There, indicating it has been cleared. There are two things I’d like to see changed: 1) allow the time to respond to the condition to last longer. Sometimes, the actual condition is at a slightly different place due to the time lag between where the incident is and when it was actually reported. and 2) when reporting police, it would be nice to know if the police is moving or stationary. If moving, the radius for notification should be extended and the time to clearing shortened, as a moving car will not remain in its position very long. If stationary, then notification can remain as it currently is. If police is moving, it would also be nice to know which direction and then adjust notifications accordingly. Note these are suggestions and not complaints. This is a great app and a must have for any driver. It also has a pretty good navigation system. But if you select another route than it gives you, it is slow to recalculate and sometimes requires stopping the navigation and then restarting it to get the alternate route..Version: 4.46.1

OutstandingFor a free to use satellite navigation tool this app is outstanding. It’s compatibility with other systems like what3words make it even better. I rated it has five stars because four would not be good enough, but there is one slight glitch I found and may just be me and not the app itself. I’m a professional driver and use Waze as my primary choice for work but I found when using Apple CarPlay and connecting to the car system the automatic function for day or night colours does not work, you need to manually switch between day and night, which can be difficult if you’re driving at the time. As I never use Waze in a handheld mode I could not tell you if this glitch still works this way we’re not connected to a car.Version: 4.66

Great app!!!! but…Waze is the best app out there for driving. It’s got great features. But it would be nice to display speed limit of the road always instead of waiting to go above the speed limit and then alerting us. My car is fitted with a black box. So, I like to stay below the speed limit. You could ask me can’t you just guess the speed limit from the type of road you are driving? London roads are weird as they are changing most of them from 30 to 20 mph due to traffic. So, it would be nice to always display speed limit in the bottom corner so we always know what speed limit the road is and never have to go over the limit to realise that we’re going over it. I kindly ask the team to update the app with this feature. I’d be so greatful for it. I’ll make sure to give a 5 star review afterwords..Version: 4.76.5

Better than mostI’ve just begun to use the app. I like the fact that it alerts you when the police are near. It also notifies you if a car is on the shoulder of the road stopped. It has a background music feature which would be nicer if it included Apple Music or Pandora. The app warns about road work, traffic jams, it is nice. It is slow to sync with Bluetooth. I can sync my phone with my truck, yet the app does not speak through the Bluetooth connection. It is difficult to communicate while I’m giving and address for directions the first time. It is hard to hear because it will not use the iPhone speaker in the beginning either. I have to hold it up to my ear while giving the first address. Shortly after the first route begins it will use the Bluetooth connection. The graphics are much better than the iOS app and also Google Maps. The screen view is also better than other apps. Seems more intuitive than either of those GPS apps also. The app is slow to turn off the location services on my iPhone after I reached the destination. This concerns me that it might run down the iPhone battery prematurely. It does have a nice parking feature to locate your car later. Fix a couple of small things and it gets 5 stars from me. This is my new GPS app..Version: 4.45

WazePerfect in city trafic, always take the best route, stop wondering....Version: iOS 4.29

Great appI find Waze easy to use and very helpful to navigate around the roads. Sometimes it takes a bit to long to redirect when you set off but overall I like this app more than others. The biggest problem I’ve noticed is when you come a cross a road closer. It’s near impossible to report the road closer while you drive it’s not practical and I’ve noticed hardly anyone reports it. Please try and find an easier way to report road closures as this will really improve the driving and avoid the confusion of Waze trying to keep send you to the same closed road. Please make it easier to report by voice or a button. The rest is easy to manage..Version: 4.92

Great AppNZ-based user, so some maps limited outside major population centres, but works really well. Speed trap alerts seem to have disappeared from the latest version (is this beacuse of Apple's new policy or is it a bug?). Some advice seems strange, again possibly because of a low volume of users in NZ, but if you decide you know better it re-routes you automatically based on your decision, it doesn't instruct you to "do a legal U-turn" or say "off route" as some other navigation aids do..Version: 3.2.0.0

CarPlay Mobile Camera ReportingThis is by far the best navigating app around, paid or unpaid, and I have been using for many many years. However, suggestion: there absolutely needs to be the option to report mobile speed cameras whilst using in CarPlay mode. By default mobile speed cameras are reported as ‘Police’, when they are not. Also, the ability to pin a police report (not in CarPlay mode ), rather than just sending a report from your exact location. For example if you drive past an RBT setup that you can see on another road nearby, but not driving directly through it, or one on the other side of the road, one can’t accurately report. Thanks, and keep up the good work Waze! 👍🏻😊.Version: 4.54.1

Brilliant app built on user input. Some additional features would be goodI have been using Waze for a few years now and I absolutely love it. Travel time is generally accurate barring live incidents and the fact that it relies on user input means everything is real time. I wish it had the feature of lane choices that Google maps shows e.g. which lanes you’d need to take to go a specific direction, particularly in tunnels. Specifically, it would also be good to add non destination points en route by tapping as Waze tends to only take you by major roads which can sometimes be bypassed through the use of side lanes. All in all, a very handy app especially in cities with lots of users. Easy to find parking, fuel prices and stations on the way - would definitely recommend..Version: 4.51.2

Florence EvacuationWAZE IS AMAZING. Thank you sooo much whoever created this APP. I am home safe because of this APP. I can not praise you enough. Hi everyone. Right now I am so thankful to be home. We evacuated to Concord and was there from Wednesday the 12th to Tuesday the 18th. We knew our home was alright but you know you need to see it for yourself. We left Concord at 10:30 yesterday morning along with our two puppies. We used our GPS on hour cars for a good ways. We ended up in SC at South of the border. This was also with the help of a police officer and a local resident. But with all of this and trying to get past the water flooding was daunting. My sisters we watching out for the whole way. One of them told use to try the app “WAZE”. I downloaded it to my iPad. I am here to tell you we would not be home today if it wasn’t for this app. It would even tell us about a vehicle parked on the side of the road a half a mile away in the dark. It is amazing. She only made two mistakes but that was because road block had just happened. I highly recommend this app. Everyone stay safe and God bless all the lineman, police, EMS, firefighters and anyone else I have not mentioned that are working so hard to keep us safe and getting our lives back to normal..Version: 4.43

Best Navigation App Out There...Waze would have to be one of the best navigation apps out there. Waze includes user edited maps, which being a map editor is a fairly well thought out and easy-to-use process once you get the hang of it. When driving with the app, Waze also alerts you to any incidents (Hazards, Accidents, Police, Speed Cameras etc.) but these can be customised in case you don't want to hear about speed cameras, for instance, you also see the non- static incidents in a bar showing your route and on the map itself. These incidents are reported by live users. There is also a request assistance feature, which I have personally never used and never seen anyone use but seems like a good idea nonetheless (on iPhone you can call an assistance service straight from the app). Overall, Waze is perfect for finding your way around traffic..Version: 4.41.2

Actual speed now lagging on iPhone SE 2020A month ago after an iOS update, the actual speed showing on the screen is now lagging 5-8 seconds behind what is actually happening! Stop at traffic lights, and actual speed shown on Waze takes 5-8 seconds to get to zero. Same thing as you accelerate, it takes 5-8 seconds to catch up with what is happening. So yes, the speed is is showing at any point in time is lagging by 5-8 seconds. Never did that previously, was always keeping up with speed changes. Reported this to Waze and Apple. Apple says Waze needs to fix. Please fix it. Driving me nuts. iPhone SE2020. Same thing on first model SE. Seems to work properly on SE2022..Version: 4.100

Just install and use it. Always getting better. A few improvements requested.Great features: best routing around trouble I’ve ever seen around the most up to date traffic information possible. The audio app integration is a neat addition. I recently upgraded my phone and it uses the additional screen space effectively. Changing the voice for directions is great. Loving the validation Cookie Monster provides at my destination! Could be improved: Pandora integration makes it look like you can change stations or thumb up/down from within Waze but it doesn’t actually work. Needs to include Audible and Podcasts apps. If I take a shortcut through an alley or start out in a school parking lot, Waze seems to really lose track of where I am and is in recalculation mode for miles at best. Sometimes I have to kill it and start over to get it to tell me where to go at a critical junction. Nit pick: Routes could better predict drive times based on historical data. I drive from Illinois to Missouri in the St. Louis area every day. That means picking a bridge over the Mississippi right at the start. I-270 will always jam up in north St. Louis County after I leave my house and take 5-10 minutes longer than Waze says on a GOOD day. They aren’t all good days..Version: 4.51.3

Brilliant App But One Flaw!I’ve used Waze for years and I think it’s the best Navigation I’ve seen (having tried many). I use with CarPlay and it works great. However my wife’s car has no CarPlay so she uses it on a hands free holder in landscape mode. The issue is that when you are NOT actually navigating to a destination, the phone screen is largely obscured by the annoying ‘where to’ panel which can’t be removed. Waze is such a great app for showing hazards whilst driving (cameras, road works etc) but unless you have actually set a destination, you cannot get rid of this pesky panel making it pretty useless for local(ish) trips where 90% of the time you know where you are going and just want the alerts and full map screen. Looking at the community reviews this seems to be a common gripe and despite being an issue for some years has not been addressed by the developer. Please Waze just allow a full screen in landscape on a phone. Hide the panel when not actually navigating to a destination. Would otherwise have given 5 stars..Version: 4.93

GPS don’t work unless phone unlockedI’ve had Waze for a while now and have loved it up until this point. I don’t know if it’s because I upgraded from the iPhone SE (original)to the new iPhone 11 or what but for some reason now unless I have Waze visible on the phone screen (not locked) the CarPlay map doesn’t refresh. So basically i used to jump in my car, connect my phone, open Waze on CarPlay and set my course and drive. NOW I can do the same, BUT if I want the map to refresh and be visible I have to ANNOYINGLY unlock my phone before I leave. I made sure it wasn’t a settings issue and went through every possible setting such as background app refresh and allowing the app to view my location always but nothing helped..Version: 4.61

Trucking with WazeI am a truck driver and I have used several different navigational tools throughout my years. None have been as rewarding as WAZE. This app is excellent. I am on the road almost every day of the year and this app has saved me time & money in more WAZE than one. Time is money. This is a true statement. Every trucker out there will tell you the same thing. So it pays me to use WAZE. If WAZE was to add “truck routes” as an option it would not only be excellent, it would be exceptionally excellent. It would definitely be my #1 go to app every time I was in the drivers seat. I can all but guarantee the same would be true for tens of thousands of other truck drivers as well. There are other apps for truckers that include truck routing as an option. Other than that, comparing them to the WAZE app would be like driving a brand new semi equipped with a 13 speed Eaton Fuller transmission just cruising down the highway, to driving a beat up old 18 wheeler truck without a turbo with a 75,000lb load hanging on the fifth wheel trying to reach the summit of Colorado’s Vail Pass. Thank you WAZE for being a friend out on the road when I’m away from mine at home‼️.Version: 4.82

2 major improvements neededFirst of all, I love the app, it’s helped me find new routes to destinations and really helped. But 2 things, when I’m on the motorway I’d like a better visual guide as to which lane I need to be in, like what TomTom does, a visual image would help. Secondly, reporting. It might be worth when someone reports something, to place the warning about half a mile back, especially on motorways. I was behind a van on the so called Smart Motorway and he had to pull onto lane 2 to avoid smashing into a broken down car in the live lane, of course after he moved, I just saw the car and had to evade him at 60mph without knowing what was on my right. 5 seconds after that incident, Waze tells me “accident reported ahead” I was nearly apart of it, so if the warning was pushed back I could have been better prepared..Version: 4.80

Loving it so farI’m new to Waze and I love it but so far have only used in Sydney Metro areas. It did get me through the new WestConnex on my maiden voyage without any hiccups which is definitely a plus. I was also impressed with the fact that it gives you total toll costs as well as alternatives with respective travelling times and loads of real time info about the route including cameras and incidents that could impact your journey. I can even simply put in a store name (eg. Bunnings) and it will list them in order of distance from my current position so I’m not constantly having to Google an exact address. Haven’t experienced the issue mentioned by another user where it can direct you to the wrong side of the building. Given the costs and hassles involved in updating my in car navigation system I can’t see a reason to stop using Waze but have yet to try it in country areas or black spots, I guess time will tell but so far so good and I am recommending it to my friends..Version: 4.101

Love my WazeI love waze especially when doing long distance driving. I notice less updates lately from users in Auckland which makes it less effective which is a shame as it has been my constant driving companion for over 3 years now.Version: 4.47.3

VoicesHey, I really love this app, I’m not gonna lie. I love the voices, I love everything that comes with directions. I just wish that the voices were more expanded. Like, I don’t know any other artists like, sorry, don’t like Olivia Rodrigo, Lil Skies, add different kinds of artists, different kinds of more people. I would love to hear that, if anything, I would really love to hear Olivia Rodrigo, odd, weird, maybe different, but I would love to hear not just her, but different kinds of people. Like, this app is amazing, and also, I wish the directions were more specific. Like, "be on the third lane" or "be on the second lane" or like, "in 0.5, 0.2 miles, this is coming up right here, make a right at this light", not this light or the next light. I just wanted it to be more specific or clear, so that when I’m using this app, I love it, I really do. I just love that. If you guys would upgrade the app and have more AI that let you know what’s going on, and I would really hope that you guys add more voices. I really love what goes on with this app, but I just like if you guys would add more to even more than what it is right now, I love it, please upgrade and update. Please add more voices. I love them very much..Version: 4.101.2

Good but could be betterWhen using it in conjunction with car play, why don’t you set the “focus “ buttons bigger or wider?? Classic example is the search.. why do I have to aim my finger directly at the search icon? When on the road, it’s infuriating! You have a whole screen width to play with but yet I have to get my finger within +-1mm window Also since 14.3 iOS Waze does not connect correctly about 3 times out of 4 attempts. Then when it does connect it annoyingly stops the radio playing ! Latest version or maybe IOS15.1 has fixed this Here is an idea to help stranded motorists on so called smart motorways.. have a single button that only shows on this type of road, that you can click to say a car is broken down in a live lane.. Also why can’t there be a setting like in Google maps where she only tells you abbreviated info.. she rattled on sometimes for about a minute! Such as “This route is 12 minutes faster than M69 A46…blah blah” then 2 minutes later takes you down the M69, but tells you at least three times to take the next junction!! Arghh.Version: 4.80

I refuse to use any other source for navigationWaze is by far the best navigation tool in the market, it is more accurate at estimating time, reporting traffic flow & alerting about hazards and events in comparison to other applications. And what makes it even more appealing is; as a contributing user.. there has been times where reporting ‘fix’s’ have been necessary after road works, etc… and every interaction I have had with the map editors has been stress free, prompt and logical! When you need the support (on and off road) Waze & it’s community are there for you!.Version: 4.78

Very accurateVery accurate speed limits. Today in scholl zone, where normally speed limit is 30; the lights started to flash (2ph when when lights flash), and speed limit on waze changed to 20 at once. That was quite impressive. There is however one issue, or I should a possible improvement; if waze could introduce something like “slow down as lower speed limit approaching” that would be great coz when you are used to waze, you kinda start relying on it for your speed and speed limit and it’s lokely to enter into lower speed zone and then you have to brake to reduce your speed as you only get to know about reduced speed limit after you have passed already. Also if there was an option of HUD. Also if waze could introduce option to change the position and size of different things on screen like spped limit and speed etc..Version: 4.42

Incredible resourceI am delighted by the services provided by the Waze app. On the first day I used it, it took me by previously unknown routes to a bakery to pick up a birthday treat for my dear daughter with 5 minutes to spare through rush hour traffic. The second time we used it we were at a huge airshow just outside of Portland OR and Waze saved the day by taking us back to Vancouver, WA on a very quiet and beautiful twisting country road through rolling farm land that ended up bringing us into Portland by way of the St. John's bridge. We were astonished to find that it took the same amount of time it would have taken us to go on the highway on a low traffic day. We were sold on it through these first initial encounters. BUT, my third use of it made me recognize how incredibly valuable and up to date it is it is when my destination was 2 blocks away from a bank robbery in progress and it diverted me from my normal route down narrow side streets where multitudes of cars were coming in the opposite direction but I seemed to be the only car going against the flow of traffic. Waze kept me safe and away from gunfire that was occurring just a block away from my final destination as bank robbers tried to make a getaway. Thanks Waze and thanks to all you Wazers that keep this app up to date so consistently. You rock!!!.Version: 4.41.2

Apple Music supportLove this app but every time I exit out of this app, or swipe up to change songs, it stops my music for a moment which is really annoying. (I use Apple Music).Version: 4.39.2

Not maintaining media selection and location at start up in CarPlayI love Waze in its overall functionality, but it has gained a couple irritating issues over the last few updates. As CarPlay activates in my car, or any car for that matter, after I’ve used Waze as my last app, when Waze initializes it automatically starts playing from my phones media library. It doesn’t allow the current media selection to continue, including the radio. It’s the only app that has constantly done this for the last couple of months. All other non-music apps don’t interfere with what media is selected. I have to manually go and select that media source again and then come back to Waze. If I have another app going like Google maps, this doesn’t occur but when I select Waze it always does this. Also, Waze in CarPlay has trouble finding my location upon initiating. I have to go onto my phone and open the Waze app itself and then close it out in the task manager. Then, when I select it in CarPlay it works fine. Lastly, the speedometer now—just barely—partially shows at of the the top left corner of the display in CarPlay. Cannot not been seen usefully. I’ve got as far as uninstalling the app, then reinstalling it and signing back in and it still does all of these..Version: 4.70

Love it & Hate it all at the same time.I have been using Waze for about a month now I commute Just over 1000 miles a week. I really like that many people are out there using it and that you get vital information like a car’s coming up on the shoulder, objects in the road and where the police are camping at. The only problem I have with Waze I’d like to see some changes is that there are too many choices to make when reporting information, for example if I want to report a car on the side of the road I have to hit four different selections before my information is sent meanwhile I’m trying to look at the screen to find a small button and not paying attention to what is on the road. Reporting information needs to be simplified for the driver no more than two clicks to report a hazard something along the lines of the first click hazard second click “car on shoulder” or “car in lane” or “object in lane”. Decision making buttons need to be a little larger like when you’re confirming a hazard on the road is it still there yes or no the buttons are too small and I often miss them and not able to confirm the information information. May be a few seconds before you approach the hazard two large buttons could pop up and simply confirm yes or no is it there. I will say this I do enjoy using it and it is much better than Google maps or other navigation apps out there..Version: 4.67

I love Waze!!I really like this navigator! He is very handsome and cute! Convenient functionality with the calculation of the departure time, and other functions with the setting of the path. I also really like to see other users on the map, it gives the impression of a large and friendly community. I also want to separately note the funny voice-overs of the navigator. They are very cool! Add more of them and don't delete the old ones! Now to the remarks. 1. Make the interface more interactive. Add pictures to the speaker's voice menu, and redo the search for alres and establishments in general. If you don't live in the city for a long time, it's hard to determine from the full-screen list of addresses which place you need to choose. Make a small sheet with a view of the map. 2. Add more functionality for electric vehicles. Namely, give the opportunity to plot the most effective route according to the criterion of the maximum speed of the road. The avoid freeways feature does some of this work, but it doesn't do it quite effectively. 3. It would be great if Waze consumed less phone resources and would not heat it up so much. And so Waze is my only navigator that I use every day..Version: 4.84

I love waze but have to use another app called camera detector! Why???As i said my primary navigation app is of course WAZE. I have no ticket of speeding or red light camera ticket. And i am very careful rider trust me but some time so much going on, on the road and as a powerful app we need more features and specifically about speed and red light camera alert like 1. Why WAZE not reporting before 300, 200, 100 yard of approaching speed or red light camera. Why doesn’t have option that i select that remind me. 2. Why doesn’t have specific sound alert before approaching speed or red light camera. 3. Why doesn’t have exceeding speed sound alert and i am talking about serious sound alert. 4. Why doesn’t have history of speech at specific route that i can check if i was speeding or not. 5. Why road closer report is so difficult. Common i have to use another app for this thing and it’s awesome app called Radarbot. If you have user like me who report and have platform so why so lazy to do such easy things. Please give us this features. I also know a little bit coding and I really don’t thing so that it is that much hard to do. Please fix it. Thank you..Version: 4.102

Very buggy appI do love this app but recently it’s had so many bugs and seems to be getting worse Everyone morning when my phone hooks up to carplay, it’s forgotten my car icon choice and goes back to the standard arrow. If you turn the car lights on the map on my car stereo should go dark mode, but doesn’t unless I open the app on my phone instead and then it suddenly wakes up. It’s not always calling out hazards in front of you. Randomly will speak and warn of a speed camera but most of the time it’s just a visual warning which you can miss. Won’t now warn of hazards in front of you, like a crash was showing on the screen but said nothing to warning you of it, when it used too. Won’t warn of any hazards as of today. I don’t know what’s going on with it really. Such a shame as it could be amazing!!.Version: 4.98

Great app, needs car play and pay to remove adsReally helps navigate in construction season!.Version: iOS 4.29

Best appHelped me to avoid police while driving with no drivers licence for 2 years, best app 10/5⭐️.Version: 4.90

Best navigation app but some suggestionsI cannot rave about this app enough. It is has saved me countless of hours stuck in traffic. Can future updates please: - being able to select notifications on the map in overview. I want to be able to see where the hazard is and find a way to avoid it without scrolling and searching - some kind of function that generates a new route between point A and B that avoids hazards that have been logged. This would clear up traffic on major roads and cover more area. I like back roads.Version: 4.44

Love this app. But...Honestly love this app I use it all the time. I do have some issues using it with Apple car play however. 1. Occasionally it won’t display the map and you have to pull over open the app on your phone, close the app on your phone and reopen it before the map will appear. This is annoying 2. Occasionally the app won’t know where you are, it’ll stay stuck at the location you started at and won’t ever update. Once again pull over, phone out, open app, close app and reopen it again. That’s also fairly annoying. But not nearly as annoying as the fact you don’t have the full report menu in car play. Surely you could make two lines of options or even a swipe across. This app is about helping others and you can’t do effectively that with the limited function on Apple car play. Honestly hoping the devs will see this and say they’re working on expanding the report options within car play because that would make this a 5 star. Hell I’d consider even paying a couple of quid one off for this it’s that important. Either way it’s a great app overall just a couple of niggles and oversights when it comes to Apple car play.Version: 4.73.2

Need update for CarPlayPlease update the Waze maps for CarPlay. Thanks in advance..Version: 4.43

Avoid traffic via alternate routesThis app is great for finding alternate routes. It uses up my battery though. Please give an option to have It search for my location only when I am using the app. When I close the app, it doesn't need to keep track of where I am anymore as I am likely not driving. I find that this app gets me places more quickly while avoiding traffic. It needs a little more fine tuning, as it put me in a no outlet street very close to the back end of my destination. I had to drive away from that point and the-input the address to get to the front end, but that worked. It was beneficial that I already had a sense of what the place should look like. I like that it recognizes "streets" in some major parking lots. That was a pleasant surprise. :) I wish there were a way for it to show how much time I save by going the alternate route versus the normal highways. UPDATE & REQUEST: Yay! My battery lasts a lot longer now. Thank you for addressing this issue. It would be great if there were a button to notify others when there is a train crossing (and recommend alternate route or option to wait for train) and the same with drawbridges up (I live in a city of bridges so this is quite valuable info and is not the same as slow traffic)..Version: 4.52.5

Used it for many yearsDefinitely my number one nav app. Easy to use and reliable routes. Some points. Sometimes I do a reroute before a junction and a better route which saves sometimes 10 minutes is available. Why wasn’t that offered as an automatic route change? ETA runs up in known traffic. So when the app says that’s you’re in traffic for a certain amount of time. Why doesn’t the app included this time in the ETA instead of the ETA running up? Very good app otherwise with very precise ETA. My in car satnav often is out by 20% on the eta. With this app I can sometimes even improve by a few minutes. I have used TomTom as well in the past just to see the difference. TT was very creative in finding alternatives routes but sometimes got me off road or very narrow lanes where you can’t pass other traffic. Waze is better and it’s free! Thanks guys.Version: 4.92

WazeReally enjoy this app specially with the Waze community feedback you’re able to have live feedback on traffic information specially where’s the cops 🤣.Version: 4.72

Hate to delete this navigation appBut for a long time now, probably almost 2 years (I know, I’m faithful). I’ve realized this thing eats up SO much data. I run out of 2 gigs in less than a week on long drives. I love everything about it (especially hazardous objects on road and police), but it’s missing an important feature I’ve secretly been waiting for that google maps has and that’s the whole standby screen to save battery and phone from heating up. Many times Waze redirects me from traffic which was cool, but then I realized after a couple times, I actually lost time AND gas because of it due to stops and whatnot instead of just sitting in traffic. Not that it hasn’t helped at other times, but I’ve learned that most of the time the traffic it predicts has long dissipated (so much for “live”. Overall, it’s just been getting worse and I’ve thought to delete this app a long time ago if it weren’t for the social part, but then I realized all my friends haven’t touched it in forever and I only use it to share with my wife who doesn’t even realize I send her ETAs anyways till I’m already there and she calls me to ask me if I’ve arrived lol. It’s been Waze, but ultimately, my data is more important to me than the 80% ghost police notifications and my safe speed limit travels..Version: 4.34.1

Good app, apart from!On my iPhone XS Max, in landscape mode the screen goes white and does not allow me to do anything, this happens on occasions and has caused me to have to use google maps instead of WAZE on a couple of occasions. I love this navigation software, it’s great, it’s accurate, it’s reliable, your alerted by almost all of the speed cameras in the country, where police sit ( if been reported ), where accidents or roads works have occurred, it’s a great app, apart from the recent issue that started occurring. I use this app every time I jump in the car, most the time it’s not even set to a destination, it’s just on so I can collect miles ( points ), and see where any potential traffic/roadworks are. Super helpful, I have rated a 4 star, will change to 5* when the issue with the white screen is sorted. Thanks WAZE!!.Version: 4.46.2

Amazing!!Unbelievably so easy to use, works so well with my Car interface!! I just wish i could use it to track where my husband goes, laugh out loud any way I must be off to finish the Roast for Roger he gets very hungry after his workout at the gym, steemworks in northbridge.. oh if you ever go please be careful apparently, people there like to tare your clothes off, even your undergarments in the sauna! Apparently its a new member ritual. But my Roger has it happen to him every few months, I think its his old mate from Choir school Gregory that is the problem.. he has a very big mouth and well it might be why My Gregory gets hazed so much. Its so bad he canna even sit comfortably for a few days… Oh by the way i do really like the road problematic tips, it is a very grand car computer program..Version: 4.91

Great for avoiding trafficI use this all the time when I’m going to a known destination I’ve been before. It’s great for routing you the fastest way. However, when you divert off a route (because you missed a turn etc) it constantly tries to put you back on that route. Every week, twice a week I drive to the same destination. Every week it directs me a way where there is multiple speed humps. Speed humps and my car do not agree. So I take another smoother route which takes the same amount of time, if not shorter, but every week it diverts me through speed humps. When travelling to a new destination i will use google maps app because it lets you know which lane to be in. It’s kinda hard to move across 4 lanes of traffic. If there are 2 lanes and one is banked up for 800m you look like a jerk when you realise you need to squeeze into the banked up lane to make a turn..Version: iOS 4.33

Usually really great and reliable for quick routesWe love Waze for travel, and generally trust it over any other mapping app. One comment and a feature request: first, Waze seems to default to interstate-centric routes, even when there are other routes on two lane divides highways which are much shorter and also faster. These routes do not appear in the route options. For example, traveling from a very small town in IL, let’s pick St. Augustine in Knox County, to Plano, TX, recently yielded two routes using Waze; both routes were via I-74 to I-55, which is ~100 miles longer than following Hwy 116 to 67 and on to the CKC expressway (110) through Hannibal. This is the route that should be chosen for this example trip, with the exception of major construction or an accident that would increase travel time by more than 2 hours. Secondly, the feature request: I use Waze on my CarPlay app while driving and always report road hazards and cars pulled over. It would be helpful (and safer for me as a driver) to be able to report a driver pulled over on the side of the road with a one click action, like is available when reporting police. As it stands, one needs to click through 3 screens to report a pulled over car. Please make this a one-click action so I can help other drivers AND concentrate on the road!.Version: 4.99.1

Just WOW !!!The best GPS app by a mile..Version: iOS 4.29

Great AppLove the app, use it religiously when driving. Even if I know the drive I still have it going in the background. However, a massive improvement would be when you are in a multiple turning lane it would be an improvement to have the app highlight the correct lane to be in when there is another turn coming up. For example a three lane of right turns you could be in the far right then in 400m it wants you to turn left. It would be easier to navigate if the far left or middle lane were highlighted to be in to help with the issue of city driving..Version: 4.93

Car Audio issuesI wish I could have found a way to report this bug... And note I otherwise love Waze. When using Waze and Apple CarPlay, Waze seems to change the car audio settings. When a song is playing and the phone is switched to Music or any other app, the sound is normal. When Waze is brought to the front the music playing change audio song to a great extent. I can't explain this other than to think that Waze is overriding the iPhone audio settings for the music that is playing. It is a significant difference that makes using Waze whilst listening to music undesirable..Version: 4.43.5.0

Just wow and moreGreat Fantastic Intuitive Informative . What all apps should be. Delivers on all expectations while building a cooperative community among users. Cusps.Version: iOS 4.29

Great app just needs some tweaksI would suggest this app to ANYONE driving whether you know the route or not. Forget the car satnav for a start, they are never up to date with road closures and the like. Waze is far superior for real-time variances in what might be your usual journey such as traffic, accidents, closures etc. The feature for planning a drive the night before to k ow your leave-time is amazing for work purposes. I would suggest to the developers that you remove the prompts to thumb-up or deny certain hazards as this is an unnecessary distraction. Also, remove the prompts which say x-incident is bad 5 miles ahead... how would anyone know what’s up ahead to confirm or deny it? Again, unnecessary and distracting. In summary, though, I wouldn’t use any other app and I use it every time I drive..Version: 4.60

A lot better than mostI cannot understand all the grumbles. I wish I had used this app instead of the one built into my car, it would have alerted me that I was over the speed limit and that a mobile camera van was on my route. No prize for guessing what arrived in the post. I see a lot of fellow “Wazers” out and about from viewing the map, so I guess they are happy with it. The app integrates perfectly with my car system (Seat), giving a nice big map display and showing issues ahead. The car screen responds to touch input, so no need to touch the phone (sorry police, you won’t catch me out with that one). Even when not used to navigate, you get voice warnings and “pings” when you exceed the speed limit. Temporary speed limits, and speed limit changes, all seem to be accurate on routes I’ve used. The route is picked pretty quickly, although I haven’t been anywhere that I didn’t know how to find from memory, so haven’t had to rely on Waze to find a location. Deviating from the route results in instant re-calculation, no noticeable delay..Version: 4.96.1

Great app with big user baseThe app is great, very few times do I see a cop without him being marked on the map. However that all depends on how many users are active in the area. One feature I would like to see is the ability to drop the marker down manually if you want. Or to be able to move it if it’s in an inaccurate spot. Any time you see a car on the side of the road or a cop, you’re driving. So trying to navigate the UI while driving is dangerous, but if you don’t then the marker won’t be accurate. Being able to place a “personal” marker that only you can see with 1 button press. Then afterward the user can edit that personal marker to reflect what they saw, for example a cop. This would allow the user to change the personal marker when it’s safe to do so. While also increasing the accuracy of the placement because it’s 1 button press. At the moment you need to try to press 3 or more buttons and hit send right as you’re going past them. Understand some of these users are driving big trucks, so this feature could save a life. It may even increase user interaction as I’m sure there’s a lot of people who want to mark it but don’t want to look at the phone for too long..Version: 4.82

Good but occasional routing issuesWaze doesn’t like it if you alter the route by taking a different exit, turn, etc. So instead of calculating the best route from the new location it gives directions to resume the already calculated route despite not being the quickest. Essentially you need to hit the route option button to get that to happen & then you’ll see the trip is shortened by the new calculation. Google maps is better in this regard, but lacks the level of user reporting that Waze is known for. Occasionally Waze will also take small strange detours that will only add time & effort to the trip, I think this is a bug in the server as the same route will not often have such detours. Lastly I avoid using Waze in the country as it doesn’t route well out there either, Google maps is much better but not perfect either as I have been directed to locked gates by the latter..Version: 4.68

Great idea, poor executionThis app is great I won’t lie. The reports are very handy and the traffic avoidance is lifesaving in comparison to using google maps or car built in navigation. But over the years Waze still has many issues that haven’t been fixed yet. 1. Why does finding a route take so long to calculate. Even small routes and even when I have a perfect internet connection. 2. Why is reporting an incident on Waze so hard to do while driving. It’s encouraging you to touch your phone more with small buttons and hard to read text and would much prefer for voice commands and bigger more friendly user texts and buttons. 3. Traffic shows up less on maps than it used to. 4. Default voice sounds very robotic (Kate) and it seems like this is a very recent issue. 5. No heads up option for navigation. 6. Crashes and fails a lot more time than google maps and apple maps. Happened on all our devices with Waze. But apart from these issues the app is probably one of the best navigation apps..Version: 4.71.2

Doesn’t work well with iOS 12Update Oct 3, 2018- We’ve been using Waze for many years and have always loved it... until iOS 12. There has been so many issues with it freezing, crashing and interfering with the built in Bluetooth in our car. It will completely cut off the Bluetooth in the car making it completely useless. We deleted the app for a while because it just didn’t work at all and redone loaded it after some updates were released after iOS 12 was out for a while and that’s when the Bluetooth issues started, needless to say we deleted it again. I’m very disappointed, we used for every drive we took, even up to the grocery store 2 miles away. As you can see below from our first review we absolutely loved it... But sadly, not so much anymore. I really hope that you’re reading these reviews and doing something to fix these issues so we can start using it again! Since Google owns Waze I Would love to see some of Google Maps functions integrated into Waze. Other than that I have no complaints except the occasional outage, but we've been using it since it came out a few years ago and have loved it from the beginning!! Keep up the good work and get some of those google map features carried over to Waze!!.Version: 4.43.5.0

One suggestionFantastic app! I’ve given it four stars because I think it could do with some improvements. A few suggestions. First one is to have an option to choose speed cameras instead of only police. In Canberra, we have speed vans that aren’t police so it would be great to be able to indicate that it is a speed van/camera instead... Also, it would be great to have the option to be able to delete or edit a notification you’ve put up. When you’ve only just started using Waze, it’s easy to do something wrong, especially when you’ve only got a few seconds to make a decision. Lastly, I think there should be a setting where you can get Waze to calculate a route for you that avoids police and/or speed cameras. If these changes were made, this app would be perfect however, I am still very pleased with it. I never go anywhere in my car without having it on..Version: 4.67

AdjustmentsIt’s a good app. Would be nice if when selecting traffic, you could actually drag along the road to show where & how long it goes for as opposed to it only registering the traffic up until the next road on the map. May be me not knowing how but it doesn’t seem to be quite as compatible when apple car-play is in use. Would be good to be able to access ‘map chat’ and other options on the phone while it’s plugged in to car play. Cheers.Version: 4.97

Contented user for many years now.Have been on a road trip these past few days and experienced several app crashes mid-drive. Word to the wise, launching the app while driving down a mountain road or when doing 100 on the motorway, then trying to key in your destination - not advisable. Update: It’s January 2020, about six months since my comments about Waze crashing mid-drive up that mountain and unfortunately the problem is still there: I’m currently driving from Wellington to Tauranga and have experienced 3-5 crashes before hour three of said drive. Wanted to stay faithful but have had to switch to another app that’s more stable..Version: 4.58

Needs bug fixesWaze is a great app but it’s Car Play integration needs some work. There are 2 major problems with using waze with car play which unfortunately means I’ll have to use google maps for now. Firstly, during navigation if car play disconnects for any reason and then reconnects waze does not show directions. Navigation continues and you can view directions from the phone screen but on the HUD in the car no directions are shown. So far the only way to fix this is to stop navigation and then restart the journey. When directions are shown however the directions cover the speed limit icon which is a very useful feature and an asset to car play..Version: 4.43.5.0

Great app but does have limitations for navigationOne of my friends put me onto Waze, I’ve been using it regularly as my driving app of choice. Communication with other Waze drivers about speed cameras, the main point about Waze I believe has literally saved me 100s of dollars and absolutely recommend it just for this. It also has a realistic speedometer, much more accurate than the one in my car so I’ll use it over the one in my actual car. However it does have its limitations which need to be addressed. The navigation/directions given are not great and it can take you on strange paths to get you where you need to go. The landmarks/house numbers can also be completely off so Waze is not reliable for directions. In summation Waze is good for a driving app that can show your real speed and alerts you to speed cameras quite reliably. Don’t use it for navigation however, you could end up in the wrong place..Version: 4.64

Great app but has definite shortcomings.Waze is my #1 choice for GPS. Live traffic updates, being able to edit traffic conditions on the fly to give a more accurate commute, and sharing routes and eta’s are great features. I do hope they integrate voice commands with Siri so we can say things like “Hey Waze, drop a stopped vehicle pin.” While we are driving so interaction becomes handsfree and safer. I gave 3 stars because there have been repeated issues with the app and service saying “No GPS available.” I have tried rebooting, deleting & reinstalling, and clearing the app cache on my phone as well as making sure iOS and the app are updated constantly. But the occurrence does not appear to be linked to hardware failure unless it is something inherent to the 8s. Google and Apple maps do not have any issues when this occurs so I’m at a loss as to what causes the issues with Waze. This occurs for about a 8-12 hours once a day, once or twice a month. Not the end of the world but heavily inconvenient when you regularly use the service for your GPS navigation (and it’s a great service) and you are on the road daily for 4-6 hours at a time it is a problem. If they could fix this problem and integrate voice commands for pin drops, this would be a hands down 5 Star app. Hopefully I’ll get some feedback and can continue to use the service..Version: 4.38.1

Fantastic real time navigation wish there was option to remove ads and download offline mapsWaze is a nice and stable gps app. Works well on iPhone 12 and even an old 6s running iOS 15.5. Fantastic on an iPad mini 2 cellular the bigger screen map display is so much better than on an iPhone. The real time traffic is great. But Waze is not perfect. Seems you can only submit four reports during any drive after that you get the “too many reports” message. Also the ads are annoying seriously is google that desperate for money? Wish there was an option to remove the ads and download offline maps for a small fee..Version: 4.84.1

LOVE IT!!!!This is THE most accurate GPS system I’ve ever used. I have never been steered wrong w/WAZE or down a street that’s closed or non-existent. Plus, another beauty with them is that they automatically update road changes, streets or maps, so YOU don’t have to worry about doing it yourself right before heading out the door!!! All you do is turn it on and go!!! I also absolutely love the “heads-up” notifications I get when driving (i.e. police ahead, road delays, accidents, etc.) and the continual notifications of when you’re getting close to having to take a turn down a street or close to taking an exit. I can’t even begin to count, how many times I have gotten so incredibly frustrated, when using other mapping systems, receiving late notifications (like 15 seconds beforehand ) of when you had to take a turn but then miss the street or miss the exit and then having to travel beyond your destination, in order to make a U-turn back or take a different exit, in order to back track around and get back on route .. ugghh 😖🤬. NO more of THAT nonsense w/WAZE!!!! Thank You!!! 🙏🏽 Keep up the good work - you definitely have a happy customer with me. 😃.Version: 4.63

Die-hard Wazer!!!Update: Waze updates have been good and the reporting process is improved and there are less steps to get to the actual reporting - yay! When you fix the default address estimation from interstate (literally I get suggestions for MI addresses, and I live in Alexandria VA!). Previous: I've recommended this app to dozens of friends and helped many download it to their smartphones and set it up for them. I can't say however that I'm very happy about the latest version of Waze. The GUI is not what it should be, the # of improvements is about equivalent to the # of detriments. It's hard to cancel an instruction once entered, the screen going from side to side is not user friendly. And reporting hazards is STILL a 2-3 step process!!!! There should be the option for active wazers to have a "visible police" button, "car on shoulder" button "construction" button and/or various traffic buttons of our choosing on the map page that we can report as we go. Also, PLEASE STOP SEARCHING THE ENTIRE MAP OF THE USA WHEN I'M OBVIOUSLY SEARCHING FOR AN ADDRESS IN MY LOCAL VICINITY. That was an obvious upgrade improvement you guys should have included. I would give you 5 stars or 10 or 20 because I love your app - but these improvements really need to happen ASAP. Keep up he awesomeness Waze!! Plus your Customer svc and responsiveness is great too!.Version: iOS 4.30

GreatOne feature I wish with was, would be the option to adjust the route based on left and right turns. Often I have found it takes me on a route with many right turns, where a route with more left turns would be quicker based on the way traffic moves. I am in a country that drives on the left hand side, and I assume the app was designed for those that drive on the right. Small thing, but could drastically reduce the time it takes in many cases. Otherwise, fantastic..Version: 4.2.0

Amazing appGreat app, always use it daily when driving out of my comfort zone or place i don’t know to well. Speed cameras are always on point and gives plenty of warnings. No complaints however I hope the developers add in motorway assist like how Garmins do it on there navigations and some over apps do it. Would really be the icing on top of the cake, I think this would finish the app nicely. Another problem is I wish you could create alerts on the roads you highlight and not just during the road you are driving on. For example I have to take the 2nd exit however it’s closed and forced to take the 1st o hope to just hold the road and mark alert like road closed. possibly to remove alerts you have placed. Other then that it’s amazing app I just hope they can implement the motorway lane assist.Version: 4.53.5

No customer support at allCustomer support is an automated email feeling you to refer to the troubleshoot section. A section that I have read so often looking for me resolution, that I have now memorized it! Simple issue - I lost my password. Password reset help allows me to put in my email address. But I do not receive any email to reset the password (tried numerous times). So now I think that I may never have registered my email on Waze. And my only option is try to create a whole new profile. When creating a new profile, I want to register my email (which I don’t think I did in the initial profile since I am not getting the password reset email etc). When I try to register my email in the NEW profile I created, Waze won’t allow it and says ‘email already exists’. So if the email already exists, why doesn’t Waze send me the email to reset my password on the old account to which I lost the password? IF MY EMAIL IS ALREADY REGISTERED WITH WAZE, WHY WON’T WAZE SEND ME A RESET PASSWORD EMAIL? OR ALLOW ME TO SET UP A NEW ACCOUNT. I have only one email address!!! If it is in use on the old account that I locked myself out of, either allow me to reset the old account or allow me to set up my new account with my email address. Simple!! Why is it so difficult?.Version: 4.37

Most useful but some issuesIt is the most useful of the navigation apps because it uses the most sources for information and does a great job helping me navigate. Directions are given in a way to help locate the turn or offramp. Other apps often change suddenly into step-by-step directions or some form that I do not want to see. Waze stays consistent in the format of the split. Waze has a number of notifications about things in the road. These are good but also have weaknesses. It is hard to report that something was not accurate. At the point it is supposed to be there the option to indicate it was incorrect goes away. This option should remain for 2 to 400 feet after the symbol location. Most hazard reports are inaccurate. Most police reports are incorrect. This is frustrating because it such a good idea but the tool doesn’t really allow for good reporting. Stopped vehicle reports do not indicate in lane or side of road so they are usually pointless viewings of vehicles stopped somewhere having no affect on traffic. There is a great feature to go later on the time this feature cannot be used for some reason I will choose directions to the airport. Half the time I can choose go later and half the time for the same trip I cannot. I know the data is there. But for some reason the feature just vanishes. Make it easier to report..Version: 4.39

Annoying additionsOverall, a good app; however, lately advertising symbols continue to populate the map. Driving past an area that has a lot of fast food places will populate the map with advertisers such that it actually crowds the map. Like ai need more ads. It just makes the map look way too busy when you’re trying to glance over to check out where you are in your route. Additionally, and just as annoying is that they have added your speed to the map which turns red even if you’re exceeding the speed limit by 1mph. If that’s not already enough to annoy someone, every few seconds a large red speed limit flashes alerting the driver they are exceeding the speed limit. It’s completely annoying! There are few if any drivers on my commute that adhere to the speed limit and doing so may put you at risk of getting rear ended considering most are driving at least 15mph over. The point being is that this sign flashes continuously every few seconds during one’s commute and is annoying especially seeing it for well over an hour every day. I don’t need this app to be a babysitter alerting me constantly that I’m exceeding the speed limit. I am considering switching back to Google maps..Version: 4.51.2

Got me back home when I was lostI was using the default maps app frustrated at the directions, telling me to go to a way that didn’t exist. I was stuck unable to get home… Until I download Waze. It guided me in the right direction through a myriad of twists interns, until I finally arrived around 200 m away from my home, beaming with happiness that I was finally able to get back home when I thought I was lost. What makes this even more interesting is that I was walking and Waze still worked perfectly fine. This shows that it is the ultimate replacement for any maps app on the App Store..Version: 4.96.1

Excellent appSimple and lots of useful features.Version: 4.51.2

Now works on CarPlay!!Finally downloaded the new update and works with my CarPlay! Works flawlessly. I know cars have speedometers but it would be nice if it shows the speed and if you are going too fast like it does if I weren’t using CarPlay..Version: 4.43.4

The coolest App to discover a stocker who is tapped into you by staying closeI love this app simply because of his style and I like way to look at our worsening traffic situation all across or length it's no longer our grandparents freeway gone are the days of leisurely drive and pleasant afternoon behind the wheel now driving Siri is business and not to be left that at all so Waze shows it other ways to use this app Multi platform use an informational stack to assist with around you at all times need to come to that oh my by that I mean the dreaded stocker the one who just won't leave you alone and must bother you in any which way they can interesting that avatars have now become avatars maybe that's a new word car the tatf. but for later next line recently I've had that displeasure of finding that I to warrant a sucker and I only found out because Waze showed me that my stocker was never far behind have a virgin ever prime ever trying to communicate the Daniel benign idiocy of their plate In stocking me it showed me how to stock them and soon as you might imagine the police were involved and well wouldn't you know it my stocker became a shocker who ended up in the slammer known as the locker and there you have it my happy story brought to you by the way thank you Stucker free.Version: 4.55.1

Routes me into narrow lanes too oftenI like Waze overall but am not using it as my main navigation app because it is the most likely app to navigate me into very narrow country lanes in order to save me just 2 or 3 minutes of time. In the UK we have lots of narrow roads where a single car barely fits the width of the road and we pray that no cars are coming towards us on a ridiculously narrow 2 way road. I would rather take 3 minutes longer on a main confortable route than have Waze try to save me 3 minutes by taking me on a narrow stress route! My dad has a saying when this happens, “Oh no, we’ve been sat-naved!” There is already an option to avoid motorways, so there should also be an option to avoid narrow roads. I think this option would be very useful..Version: 4.97

Fast learner!Easy to use and community driven so constantly improving. Generally does a good job for directions but my favourite feature is the ability to detect and report traffic and other issues. Great for commuting to and from work. NZ user here - definitely recommend it! New sharing ability is awesome, lets you share your drive via a mobile website so others can see when you're due to arrive..Version: 3.7.7

GreatBetter navigation than Siri when driving around in unfamiliar places. Siri sends me on wild goose chase but this app is way better..Version: 4.65.2

Vacation Travel SOSDue to a Cat 5 Hurricane Irma and Cat 4 Jose which caused destruction and total havoc in the Caribbean our well-planned trip to Grenada (a year in the making) was cancelled after 3 hrs. of wishful thinking and 2 wks. of monitoring NOAA and the weather channel several times a day. With our flight cancelled and at JFK hrs from home we decided to just turn in our tickets for an impromptu trip to San Francisco which was on our bucket list. We flew in without any preparation more than finding a last minute deal on a downtown hotel for 2 nites. We rented a car once we spent a couple of days in San Francisco. If not for my WAZ app we would not have been able to do half of what we did! It got us to our 2nd location a rental outside of San Francisco and on time! It took us to Big Sur via Rte 1, all around Napa Valley, and adventures that took us to views of the Golden Gate Bridge that only locals get to see. With the app we were able to find our way to impromptu routes that took us 2500 ft to an observation tower that blew our minds. The app regularly saved us from excruciating California traffic jams by re-routing us and is amazingly good at time estimations. We are most appreciative for this app. Thank you for helping us explore gorgeous Northern California..Version: iOS 4.29

Don’t Leave Home Without ItThis app has saved me so many times. I absolutely love it. I use it constantly, mainly because it alerts me to traffic and cops, but also because it has shown me shorter ways to places I go to all the time (and thought I knew the best route there). I only have two complaints. The map change suggestion feature is totally useless. There’s a road near me that’s a private lane and ends at one curve of an s-curve. Waze always tells me to use this road for 100 feet, then get back on the main road. No, the private lane ENDS at the main road! I’ve tried changing this a dozen times, and it never gets changed (once it was actually, but a week later it was back). I’ve learned to ignore it, but I feel sorry for tourists because they get confused (I can tell they’re using Waze when I’m behind them because they’ll slow down and sometimes stop, which is really annoying). My other complaint is that I can’t tell it to remember certain routes. From my house, there are two ways to the county road. They’re both the same distance and about the same driving time. The difference is that the one Waze always tells me to use is single lane partway, very narrow the rest of the way, and has a lot of hidden entrances and blind hills and curves. I’d much rather take the safer way. If Waze finds a way to fix these two things, I’d give it 5 stars.Version: 4.45

Good, but has some weird behaviour at timesGenerally very good, occasionally it will try to take you down roads that are marked as not through roads which can take a long time to get fixed depending on your community editor. Generally the maps seem to run behind Google as well for some new build homes/estates, although this can again be fixed by a community editor. My main gripe would be that you’re very reliant on community editors for some changes to be approved and in the case of my city there’s literally 1 trying to handle everything so it can take ages for anything to happen. There also seems to frequently be issues that are raised but changes are never made. For example, myself and one other have raised issues about Waze showing incorrect speed limits on a section of road but nothing has been done. I understand the app isn’t responsible for the community, but it is something to keep in mind. If you’ve got no to few people approving/making changes you might as well use Google/Apple. Also can we get the ability to queue up stops like on Google and Apple? That’s really convenient for my line of work :).Version: 4.94.1

Falls short in key area…I have consistently been using Waze for close to a year now and it has shown to be an overall enjoyable experience. The user interface is friendly, the unique alerts are always helpful and I have bought into the Waze community. However, this is above all a navigation app and I have found myself having to switch to Google Maps on multiple occasions for different, navigation-related reasons. The first issue is that the app doesn’t seem to detect road closures well. For instance it has, in the past, proceeded to direct me to a closed Rotherhithe tunnel even with there being a jam of cars unable to enter. Google maps seems able to detect these situations and can promptly navigate me to an alternative route with no confusion. Another issue I have faced is that it sometimes may not take you exactly to your destination. With how far software has developed, with the likes of ai and machine learning, I thought that navigation apps would be competent enough to not send you to an incorrect location. However, when I was looking to go to Pirate Studios in Bugsby Way, it proceeded to direct me to the distribution centre behind it. Again, I needed Google maps to save me. Overall I would recommend its use but I would advise that you have Google maps ready in case Waze falls short..Version: 4.76.5

Great App, with some minor issues that need a fixGreat app, just focuses on directions and all the impediments along the way, as long as wazers have diligently and accurately reported them. Its pleasing to the eye and is responsive to an acceptable level. However, it draws too much power from my iPhone battery and heats it up as well. I am still on a perfectly functional 12 Max Pro and use Apple car play. Otherwise, I live using the app, which essentially gives you the best of google maps, apple maps with an added waze layer on top! If battery consumption / heating problem is fixed, it would be 5 stars from me. City driving only, as that I suppose, is the main use case..Version: 4.98

Stunned!!!Huge shoutout 2 Waze & ALL Waze users in Richmond VA (and all tri-cities) 4 how live this app truly is. TBH I had my doubts! But you have definitely made me a believer of the amazing accuracy! Each time I’ve used waze & there’s an alert of police, debris on road, & car on shoulder etc...it was at a💯! So I 👏🏼 U & All the Waze users! I ❤️@waze & will recommend 2 everyone! I will most definitely consider giving waze 5/5 stars ⭐️ if you guys would take all the users suggestions that I’ve come across & actually make it happen in a more timely manner. I also have a suggestion myself. CAN YOU PLEASE ADD more options on vehicles to choose from (or be able to change the color of the vehicle by being able to hold the vehicle down and choose a different color) on the navigation map? Also, make the vehicles you have available actually look like the description of that vehicle? For example: The SUV looks like a dump truck, the bus...well there should possibly be two types of buses (make them both longer & make one yellow), and as I’d stated before have different color & size options for the cars, & make one for an actual SUV with different colors. I really hope you’ll make these changes. Once you do, I’ll be more than happy to give you a 5/5..Version: 4.39

Love it … BUT…I’ve been using this app from the beginning! Its the only navigation app that hasnt sent me on wild goose chases whilst driving. Unlike Google Maps, it always knows when roads exist and when they don’t! Its the only navigation app worth using in my opinion. It relies on feedback we submit in order to give users the best possible route available in real-time traffic. It actually avoids Jams & generates better ways whilst driving by utilising feedback submitted advantageously. I hate using any other app. But Im forced to use Google Maps when riding my bicycle. 😩 It gives no option to change to a bicycle rider or a walker. This is a game changer & lets the app down tremendously. So much so, I haven’t a choice but to use an app I absolutely hate as a result of. (Google) Please can The voice of a very loyal & longtime user be heard in relation to this matter? Please and thank you would you kindly discuss in the next meeting you have, to try & promote & improve your app by making this change. Thanks.Version: 4.84

Very useful app my favorite one! This app is by far my favorite I have used every other one you can think of! Where to start? Well it’s like Google maps with the way it looks so helps you in big cities except waze will not tell you to switch lanes at the last second! It also reports things such as car crash, stopped cars on side of the road traffic and all you can think of that’s stopping you from carrying on your way! I gave this app a 5 star because with all that being said it lets you know stuff ahead of time where you’re not stuck looking at your phone thinking it’s going to pass to quick to see very accurate on there accidents and stopped vehicles and only app I used that will let you play music and still see your maps and not interrupt/stop playing music this app is overall very helpful for those who want more then just a basic gps system it can also help guide you out of a closed road way ahead and switch it to the most similar way around that closing so you won’t get stuck I hope this app doesn’t change and if so all I see is more progress that will just get better and better keep doing an amazing job Waze very happy using your guys app keep it up!.Version: 4.93

Was GREAT....Now it doesn’t work 😖I had been using Waze for about a year and LOVED IT!! But since the most recent IOS update, it continually is “searching for GPS” and looking for language (I still speak English 😉). I went to my cellphone provider, then Apple, and logged off of Waze to see if the app would reset itself and be fixed. This didn’t work. I even did a total reset of my phone, and nothing worked on Waze and Google (who owns Waze). I then contacted Waze, but got nothing but constant/obvious automated answers back that stated things to do that I already started I HAD ALREADY DONE and listed in my email. This is upsetting since other competing GPS apps work on my phone, so it’s not anything on my end. After a couple of weeks, I did a web search to see if others had issues or could help me. Interestingly enough, I found out I am in good company, sadly. Please Waze/Google, it would be greatly appreciated if you could actually get this obvious bug fixed. Your app was wonderful, but I’m sadly happy to switch to another app to at least get me to places. No, the other apps don't have the accident, police, or other very helpful perks. I just can’t stand diving “approximately” or now the map keeps me at the beginning location and has no idea that I have already driven and arrived at my destination. Beyond frustrating. Again, please send out a fix! 🔨.Version: 4.34.1

Amazing functionality and structure, but little theme integrationThis app is fantastic - it's so simple and convenient. It's what I would describe as a real plug-and-play solution for any type of driver who wishes to contribute to the community, or simply know how fast you're going on Jones Ave. I believe its biggest strength is how just leaving the app on helps other users, along with the ability to report events and sightings so easily. My only nag would be that there is little to no iOS theme integration - admittedly this makes the app unique and gives it character. Either way, the concept here was spot on, and the execution was fantastic..Version: 3.9.1

5*Best Gps app.Version: iOS 4.29

A great app - with one fault remainingThis is (almost always) the only navigation app you will need. I use it every time I go driving, even where I know the roads well, due to the way it warns of hazards and I can warn others. The navigation is great around the city and, with the minor point that it often picks the wrong side of a property to go to, it does well. The time estimates are also generally spot on, so the warnings you need to leave are given in good time. The recent addition of lane navigation almost completes the job. The problem is when you go out of the city - and out of mobile (cellular) phone coverage. Do that and the navigation is suddenly terrible. Even if your trip includes a section that is out of mobile range the app will get your trip times wrong and will send you a long way out of your way to get where you are trying to go, sometimes costing hours. I’m not sure why, but it happens. A lot. If you are going out of phone range then use Google Maps. Other than that, use this..Version: 4.69.2

Best navigation app by far! This app is absolutely brilliant, if I could give it more than 5 stars I would. The directions are very accurate and always takes me the quickest routes to avoid the worst of the traffic. The road reports such as stopped cars, police, speed cameras and roadworks are very accurate and always gives plenty warning. It’s very easy to read directions compared to Apple & Google Maps and traffic jam information is FAR more accurate. The speed limit is always right and the GPS speedometer is more accurate than my car’s speedo. Also works well with CarPlay and easy to navigate through. The ads are not even obstructive as I’ve noticed they only appear as a banner at the top when stopped in traffic, for example. More people that use this app will only make it better as it takes road information by its users. It’s also quite light on data use considering the amount of information you get. I have no complaints about Waze and will continue to use it over any other apps as it really does save me a lot of time. Highly recommend!.Version: 4.44

Essential Nav App with faultsWaze is undoubtedly an essential navigation app which I use alongside some others like Google Maps and Apple Maps (Apple Maps has excellent up to date road data, because it’s powered by TomTom road data). In ways, Waze an be the better navigation app being able to show sudden obstructions and Road Works popping up out of the blue, because users can report this on the fly. It’s some of the little faults however that can drive (pun not intended) the user to frustration. The various volume outputs are a real problem. I set only the Notifications because I want to have an alert sound for traffic cameras, obstructions, roadworks, speed alerts, etc. but not for normal turn by turn navigation. However, my experience is:- 1. When entering a destination by voice entry, the voice confirmation feedback for the destination address is so low that you can’t hear it. It appears to only come from the iPhone’s “in call normal ear-speaker” which you only hear if putting the handset to your ear and NOT the iPhone’s own handsfree loudspeaker mode. Naturally the iPhone is mounted on the dash and your ears are approx half a metre away. 2. In stark contrast to number “1.” above, audio alerts are very loud and clear, even to the point of making you jump if you weren’t expecting it. I’m not too sure if audio alerts are using the iPhone’s ringer volume level or media volume level..Version: 4.57

Needs customizationI’ve seen so many comments here and elsewhere on the web asking for the ability to move the speedometer. I wish you would listen to this simple request.Version: 4.60
