Muscle System Pro III - iPhone for Positive User Reviews

AwesomeExactly what I need to help demonstrate anatomy to physio patients. Love it!!.Version: 3.7

Great app! This is a really good app if you want to revise anatomy. I'm a medical student and have found it quite useful. It's not five stars yet because the pins in the quiz can be in random places on the screen rather than a muscle. It would be useful if you could zoom in quiz mode, especially if using the app on an iPhone. Other than these points this app is brilliant and well worth the money! Could we have an update so it works better on the iPhone soon please? :D.Version: 2.4

Awesome appAwesome tool, easy to use and everything I needed to learn about what lies beneath.Version: 3.7

If People Like This Why Stop? The developer says this will be the last update to reassess where to assign resources. Are they assessing correctly? I argue they could use professional input!.Version: 3.8.2

OutstandingFantastic tool. Awaiting similar for ligaments, nerves, organs and blood vessels!!.Version: 3.7

AwesomeAwesome app.Version: 3.7

Muscle System Pro is excellentThe Muscle System Pro is great. I have been doing massage for many years and have always wanted a way to easily identify muscles and show them to my clients. The ability to zoom in and out, rotate the body in 3D, and find the name of specific muscles is fantastic. This is a solid application. I wish all version 1.0 applications worked this well. In future upgrades, I would like to have an option for Muscle System Pro to speak the name of the identified muscle. This would help users learn the correct pronunciation of the many muscles in the body. If you have ever needed, or wanted, to learn about the human muscle system, this is a must have app..Version: 0

3d4Medical Muscle System App. ReviewI have been making an effort to learn anatomy as well as possible during my undergraduate career, and I can honestly say that this application has been a huge help. For me, a 3d model is one of the best ways to learn something. I am a very visual learner and sometimes reading charts just doesn't cut it. Also, knowing that working in 3 dimensions with actual people is what matters when it comes to helping people makes this very specific to the real thing. I get a sense of how things are oriented far better from an easily manipulated model than a flat textbook with great limitations on angles of view. I highly recommend this as a learning tool. -Random dude on the internet.Version: 0

Muscle System Pro rocks!Very comprehensive, this app permits animation-assisted zooming into detailed muscle images; likewise there is a very useful capability to remove (sometimes several) layers of muscle to see underlying structure. Most useful for our fitness & training clients to quickly view the target muscle (group) just before or during an exercise. Too bad we can't view "i" (info) in larger format (or have option to) as most of our clients are retirees / boomers..Version: 0

First rate app for Physical TherapyAs a clinician, I find it impossible to remember every origin and insertion of every muscle in the body. This app has been an invaluable reference tool to guide me during manual interventions needed to rehab my patients. It's also been useful for patient education to help them better understand various diagnoses. I've previously used this app on my iPad, but now I have it at the palm of my hands with the iPhone 6+. There were several other anatomy apps in the app store, but this is by far my favorite. It's easy to use, the graphics are beautiful, and my patients love it. Besides, the price was right and worth every penny. I wish I had this as a student!.Version: 3.8

AAAA+++++++ WDBAAwesome app, very clear and accessible, excellent detail. Helpful at university/college level. Keen for updates to include ligaments and a way to control the automatic rotation speed..Version: 2.4

HelpfulIs this application worth $20? It is hard to say. If I was a professional in the health care system or a personal trainer I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this app. It is a great visual aid to show to your clients to give them a better idea of muscles you are referring to. On the other hand students might find the $20 is too steep of a price to pay. An anatomy textbook is still far more detailed and more helpful. And you probably already own one. You may wish you spent your money going out with friends instead..Version: 0

Fantastic voyageAs a spinal injury patient, I bought this app a long time ago to help my rehab by learning muscles. This upgrade is the most astounding advance I have ever seen in any app. The amount of detail, combined with ease of navigation is stunning. Watch the helpful intro before you use it the first time and then just explore. After several excursions, watch the intro again; it will really stay with you. The is like peering into your own body. As you remove layers of muscle, you may find you self mesmerized by the crisscrossing muscles in the shoulder blade or admiring the scores of connections to the backbone. Smooth spins allow gorgeous 3-D views unavailable in any textbook. I've had an hour slip away with out noticing. The detail is so good I installed it on my iPad 2 and only the captions suffer pixillation. How long can I resist the iPad version at $40 (I believe)..Version: 2.2

Great anatomy app!I always have to freshen up on my anatomy. Having this makes it convenient and fun to do so. I should mention that I also purchased the ipad version and have the skeletal system as well!! Solid APP!.Version: 2.4

Best so far...So easy to use. Helpful teaching tool, visual aid, etc. And it appeals to so many senses..Version: 3.8

Good app if you're in fitness or chiropracticAs an exercise scientist and going into chiropractic college, I have found that this app is a suitable replacement for the muscular charts of old that I have hanging on the wall. The glory of this app comes from the cutting away of the muscles to reveal deeper, more intrinsic muscle groups and all of their insertions. For instance, you'll get a description of the short biceps head, used for external rotation which translates into supinated biceps curls when you workout. The longer head and brachioradialis would be better trained with hammer curls. You also see the nerve supply and origins, i.e. where the muscle inserts. Like "AllTraps" says, it's a bit pricey for what it offers. I also rated it a 4:5 because it's not so easy to rotate once you're zoomed in. Thirdly, you get sagittal and transverse planes but you don't get to see from above or below. I wanted a true 3D experience. For twenty bucks it was still a justified purchased. You'll be able to review all the pernickety details and engage in quizzes. Good but not great. With a few tweaks the price tag will justify the program..Version: 0

Awesome AppGreat App Allows notes and the add/remove layers is fantastic! You have thought about the learners journey also once you get used to the features its a very good performer! Thanks.Version: 3.7

University Student3d4medical Muscle Systems Pro was a essential asset to the completion of all my anatomy courses. A definite must have!.Version: 3.7

3D4Medical incredible apps!Thank you for making such great applications with incredible detail & smooth runtime. I don’t normally buy apps but this is definitely recommended for value for money! I used this app in particular for my studies but I continue to use it daily, alongside the other apps, to enhance my knowledge. Kind Regards, Isaac Douglas Insta: IsaacDouglas1 📸.Version: 3.8.1

AmazingI am a nursing student and Was going to school for pt It's also good for people who want to work out and Know what muscles they are working. It gives you a 3-D representation of the muscles. It also illustrates the insertion points , origin points and the actions and nerves Innervation and artery supply to each muscle..Version: 3.8

Quiz modeGreat detail, but sometimes it is hard to touch correct flag. I wish it had more quiz modes and a way to include/exclude muscles. Very pricey..Version: 0

Really goodThis app is really useful and has helped a lot in learning anatomy, however the quiz on the iPhone version isn't great as sometimes the pin doesn't even point to a muscle but to the background instead :s. But other than that it's amazing definitely worth getting :).Version: 2.4

Amazing Study Tool for UniI always use this to prepare myself for my anatomy exams..Version: 3.4.1

Excellent although some errorsI love this app - extremely easy to use, clear labelling, beautiful graphics, and excellent access via the scapel tool to the muscles you want to look at (granted, you don't control what muscle(s) get taken away, but that's a minor thing). I didn't give it a five, just because there are some database issues that need to be worked out, which I'm listing below: - The Flexor Pollicis Longus muscle in the forearm is correctly labelled until you get to the L4 view (Anterior), where it is then incorrectly identified as the Peroneus Longus (a leg muscle) - The Obterator Externus (right) muscle is incorrectly labelled Obterator Internus (right) from the Posterior Pelvis: L7 view. In the same view the Obterator Externus (left) muscle is correctly labelled. - The Origin/Insertion description for the Flexor Digiti Minimi Brevis in the Anterior Forearm view has the incorrect Innervation of the Plantar Nerve (should be the Ulnar nerve for the hand) That's all I've found so far. Update: the sacrotuberous ligament was added recently I believe, which is cool, but it's rendered like a muscle, which is misleading ;o) the other errors I listed previously have been fixed as far as I can tell, so yay! :oD Great app!.Version: 0

Love itThis is a great app and a great learning tool, highly recommend it !.Version: 3.7

Very professional and thorough appI am very pleased with this app!.Version: 3.8

Great!!A good price and an excellent app. Love it!! Five stars!! God bless you!! :D.Version: 3.8

SolidSolid tool for the price. Would have liked an easier way to look at different layers but overall very helpful.Version: 3.8

Best in classEasily the best myophysiology/anatomy app there is. By a long way! Inclusion of the ligaments would make the perfect. But that's whaty hard copy of Gray's Anatomy is for..Version: 0

NiceBut needs better transitions between sections.Version: 3.8

GoodGood for most identifications! it would get five stars if there was more detail in the ability to cut down only specific muscles piece by piece.Version: 1.6

Great appI refer to this app a lot. Easy to use and packed with info..Version: 3.7

I can’t say enough good thingsI am a Physical Therapist. I have been using the muscle and skeletal app since my iPhone4 to explain to my patients what is going on in their body. I literally use these two apps every day and have gotten more complements from patients on their greater understanding of their condition due to these. I have been stressing the last two days without it due to the IOS update. Thank you for getting this out. It is my life line at work!!!.Version: 3.8.1

Muscle System Pro III reviewGreat app, learning anatomy in 3D is much more satisfying than books. Pros - can strip/add layers; each muscle has a lot of information packaged with it - including videos of their action, nervous supply, space for notes etc; app looks good and slick in general. Cons - rotate function needs to include vertical rotation as well (unless I have just not figured out how to do it yet), the touch control is not quite as smooth as you would hope. Overall - a good carry-on for any budding medic, could potentially use to explain things to patients who want to know more about e.g. their injury..Version: 3.3.1

I love this applicationI am a student and have a real passion for the muscular and skeletal systems. With this app I quickly just tap it open and I can look up anything. I love the 3D animation and navigation, also the sheer detail that is avaliable is astonishing. With future versions I would like it so that when you click on pins and they all appear on screen, it would be better if the pins could appear at any angle rather than having to spin round to each 90 degree point. However this is only a minor annoyance and if you ignore this I can't fault the app. Incredible..Version: 3.3.1

Muscle system proSimply the best muscle systems app out there. I am doing a sports massage therapy course and this app is invaluable. I have also purchased the skeleton systems app as well as the individual ones for hip, shoulder, hand and wrist, knee, elbow and ankle and foot..Version: 3.8

App reviewVery good presentation fairly easy to use. However the app hangs once in a while and some information and certain muscles are messing. Overall quite good but I'm not sure it's worth the 19.99 There are similar apps for less cost..Version: 0

The best out thereI've tried similar apps, but this blows them out of the water. Perfect for massage therapists..Version: 3.8

Great for massage studyThis application has been a godsend in learning all of the muscles. The ability to zoom and also see the multi-layers is particularly useful in relation to deep-tissue/remedial/sports massage. The quiz has been good for consolidating the study. Whilst this is the most expensive app I've ever bought, it was worth every dollar..Version: 0

Fantastic AppGreat addition to resources for bodywork studies. I'm so pleased that I decided to buy it..Version: 3.8

Makes me. Rock Star!As a personal trainer I can quickly look up, review, and study anatomy. This makes me better able to share knowledge with my clients and keep them educated about the muscles they are working as well as any previous injuries they may have had. I like how fast the controls are. I can quickly get to any major muscle group and find what I need to know. This is a must-have tool for personal trainers!.Version: 3.8

PT ToolThe app is a great tool as a PT working with clients doing rehab. I love it..Version: 3.8.1

Love it!Great app for locating muscles in the body; it also provides the origin, insertion and action. Fantastic!.Version: 3.7

RMTLove this app! Great pocket reference, learning aid and great to explain muscles to client. Amazing app..Version: 3.7

This is amazing! It took some truly brilliant and dedicated minds to develop such an application. Thank you!.Version: 3.8

So far so goodI'm currently taking A&P and am finding this useful, though not perfect. If I could zoom in and touch the body parts and the app says what that part is it would be an easier study tool..Version: 3.8

Outstanding appThis is so easy to use with great information. When I was in massage school it was my to go app. I didn’t have to use my textbook all the time when I need quick information. I recommend this app to everyone..Version: 3.8.2

SuperbExcellent app. A lot of information and attention to details. Only down side is it can be a little tricky to use..Version: 3.7

Muscle System Pro 111Excellent. Use regularly on my IPod and IPad. Able to examine muscle groups and see how individual muscles produce movement. I use it when studying and when at work..Version: 3.7

Great AppGreat app. I use it daily at work as a reference tool when reading client medical reports etc. works very well on iPhone..Version: 3.7

Okay, you did a great job.I'm a student of a 2 year massage program. This program rocks! It is a significant improvement and is well worth the price and the time it takes to work through the finesse of manipulation the program. Views are great, testing is torture but everything is way beyond any other single app out there. I think I can speak for all the geeks of my school. We all have it and ipad of iphone it is the coolest. thank you..Version: 2.0

Who needs a text book?My anatomy unit consists of all the muscles and its nerve supply and its major blood supply. This is what i use to study for the unit. I purchased both nova apps (skeletal and muscular) for both iPad and iPhone. When I study I use the iPad, for quick reference i use the iPhone. The layered approach is extremely useful, coupled with the multiple views and manual rotation, its aid is immeasurable. It would be perfect if the nerves could be integrated into the muscular app and even more so, the muscles and nerves added to the skeletal app, and eventually the whole nervous system along with the digestive, lymphatic and reproductive systems. All of which can be purchased as in app purchases on the initial skeletal app. This has replaced my text book almost entirely, leaving the anatomical positioning of the nerves and vessels. Keep up the good work and hopefully this becomes a complete human body application.Version: 2.2

Great Physiotherapy revision toolBrilliant app for anatomy revision! 5 stars..Version: 1.6

FantasticMakes learning muscles so much easier. Incredible 3d images. Best muscle anatomy app by far..Version: 2.2

Indispensable, but needs some thought..This is a fantastic app, comes in very useful for showing my clients where their injuries are. Prior to the update I would have given this 4.5 stars, but since the addition of the side draw I've gotta knock it down to 4 stars. Before you could add and remove layers in a single click, but now to remove a layer you have to open the draw, tap add/remove layer and then close the draw. Who ever thought that idea up needs a prize for stupidity. Oh, and the navigation tabs at the sides and bottom of the screen are too big, they were fine before. The added functionality since the update is great though, but spoiled slightly by poor implementation..Version: 3.3

KellyBest Anatomy app I've found! Easy to use and amazing graphics. Well worth the spend..Version: 3.7

GreatestFantastic.Version: 3.8

Great app - music a problem thoA really great app for learning. Just wish it didn't take over the audio so i could listen to music or a podcast whilst using it.Version: 2.4

Brome Lake FitnessThis app is a must for all who work in the fitness industry. Ease of use is fantastic and extremely helpful in educating clients on muscular anatomy and function !.Version: 0

The muscular systemThis is very useful program for anyone studying anatomy. As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I am expected to have as good a grasp on musculoskeletal anatomy as anyone out there, and this program has been very helpul in my studies. I do wish it was more geared for iphone functionality, however. Moving up and down with the touchscreen, and zooming in and out with the pinch function of the iphone would be very useful. I already use the program a lot, but would use it much much more if it was more functional with capabilities of the iphone. Overall, I would recommend it for anyone studying advanced muscular anatomy..Version: 0

Another wonderfully edition to the series. This application was everything I had hoped for and more, an essential tool for any anatomy student..Version: 2.4

Amazing!Amazing application. Is it possible for you guys to update the app, and make it easier to access the pins on muscles?.Version: 3.8

FantasticAn absolute life saver in my anatomy studies when I’m struggling to find something that the text books just don’t depict well enough.Version: 3.8.1

Awesome AppThis app has so many features and diagrams that are awesome. Could it have more? Yes. And more videos also. But the app it self has a great look and feel. Only thing I would say is that you should be able to choose which muscles you can take away and add individually. Other than that awesome..Version: 3.8

The best anatomy app!I have bought a few apps of this type but this one is the best. I no longer have to shop around to get the kind of detail i want. A+.Version: 0

The bestSimple and easy to use. Fantastic visuals..Version: 3.8

Great Little Muscle Guide...This is a good app for massage practitioners or bodyworkers in need of muscle reference, BUT it is limited by the size of the iPhone screen. Viewing muscles is not always easy, nor completely accurate. my earlier complaints had to do with the lack of real 3D, but the update has addressed that issue and now it is very easy to flip, swivel and zoom the body any which way to get to the muscle you want. It's still a bit small on the iPhone, but I can imagine on the iPad it's awesome. It's still not a replacement for larger formats and classic textbooks/guides, but it's a great little carry around for the practitioner/student who wants a quick reference to most of the main muscle system. as always, it's the support of the app that makes it stand above the rest (you listening Myofinder?), and Nova support is great..Version: 3.3.1

GREAT app!I'm a physical therapy student and this app had helped me out A LOT! It's very detailed, accurate, and easy to use. I CAN'T WAIT until they release Essential Anatomy, Spine, and a Brain one for the iPhone!.Version: 3.4.1

3d is so much easier than flatI've gone to several web sites to find 3d medical images. Some are good, most are poor. The web sites don't provide that much information. This app provides a lot of good info. I'm a coder and I work for hospitals. The muscle system is the most difficult, for me at least, body system. I'm really good with skeletal but when the ortho docs start talking about the muscles, I get so lost. I can't believe how much this app and the others have helped me. I type the muscle I'm looking for into the index and there it is. The magnification is really good, too. This is just an app but there is no just about it. The web sites that use 3d are just suckering you in so they can get you on their mailing list. If you not comfortable about the price, buy the free one which is muscle system, head and neck. I was blown away. I had to have the apps. I do have one question though. Are there going to be apps available that cover pulmonology and other systems in the body? The digestive and urology are good but pulmonary, heart and other popular body systems would be great. Thanks for a great app. It helped me the first day I got it. I also enjoy just looking at the different muscles. I've also bought the cardiovascular system..Version: 0

Fantastic App! : Let's my patients see what I am seeingI love this App! I am a specialist musculoskeletal physiotherapist in Private Practice in Hammersmith in London, England (Back In Shape). I use the app regularly on my iPhone and on my iPad to help me to explain to my clients which structure is at fault and how to go about fixing it. It often let's them see instantly, what I am already imagining is going on within them, from years of anatomy study. The ability to rotate the body part in 3D makes this program special. It's so much better than an anatomy textbook. Congratulations on a revolutionary app! Jimmy.Version: 2.2

Great AppOverall, this is a great app! One feature I would love to see implemented is the ability to strip the skeleton and add specific muscles. As a teaching tool, it would be nice to be able to look at specific groups of muscles by themselves..Version: 3.8

Muscle pro iiiThis has to be my favorite app. I refer to it time and again. Great explanations. Helps me understand what my doctors are talking about. I'd give it 10 stars if that were an option!.Version: 3.8

Great referenceOutstanding.Version: 3.8.2

UpdatePlease update this app. I cannot see the media for what the muscles do!! Help!!.Version: 3.8.1

GreatGreat app for clinicians!.Version: 3.8

Muscle system 3 proSweet! Post grads lovin it.Version: 3.7

A pretty handy appThis app has heaps of good information. Especially when you're a remedial therapist. The maneuverability of the diagrams need a bit of tweaking. But the videos offer another dimension of to studying the anatomy. And it's cheaper than the ridiculously priced medical anatomy apps..Version: 3.8

WonderfulI use it all the time. Makes a great teaching tool for patients..Version: 3.8

Good Visual Reference.Makes me wish the screen on my i-phone was bigger. - Andrew..Version: 2.4

Love itGreat app. I also downloaded the Mac version as well..Version: 3.7

Great app as an artistI'm an art student and do a lot of figure drawing, for which it's key to have an understanding of anatomy. There are a lot of first rate anatomy books aimed at artists, but I haven't seen one whose drawings or photographs are as clear and easy to read and understand as the ones in this app. Being able to drill in or out between skeletal and surface views is fantastic, and impossible to replicate in print with anything like the clarity here. I gave the app 4 rather than 5 stars only because it would, I think, be easier to use if it were possible to zoom in or out with a pinch gesture and to scroll around the image by dragging. But that said, it's a very impressive piece of work..Version: 0

River raft guideI really appreciate the app. It's amazing to have help understanding your body at your fingertips. The app showing range of motion of muscles is particularly unique quality one cannot get from a book. I look forward to checking out other products..Version: 3.8

STUNNING - 5 STARSThis application will change the way you think about the human body and ensure best working practices in the field of medicine and health care. I'm in the medical profession and having used this over the last month, I can honestly say it’s the best intuitive app in my Iphone. I use this to teach med students as well as educate my patients on the inner workings of the muscle system....they love it and so do I. This app also makes a great training aid for those involved in sport and weight training, if fact I have recommended it to many of my private clients who compete within the sporting world. A stunning application that should be on everyone’s device. Highly recommended……….Dr. Bill.Version: 0

A brilliant addition to any studyingSuch a great app. Made my studies much easier, love the 3d visuals and the layers and pins - brilliant.Version: 3.8

MrIn short.. This is a brilliant app, I'm a med student, having this reference tool saves carrying around tortora and grabowski's principles of anatomy and physiology. I also believe that these apps offer a better explanation of the regions, the exploded view is really cool. Great work.Version: 0

Very detailed and helpful anatomy appThis app is a very handy tool for studying the muscles incisions etc, a must have for physiotherapy and medical student for getting their anatomy sused. Would give five stars if it doesn't crash so often, sometimes it crashes even when I've deleted all running apps in the background, please improve the app stability! It would also be very helpful if there is an option for adding a layer of ligaments. Again this app is highly recommended..Version: 3.3.1

Soo goodBest thing for anyone studying Physio/medicine or any other kind of anatomy, even better on laptop as it's easier to maneuver, well worth the money.Version: 3.8

Great App for health professionalsGreat App! I'm a PT and work with Physio in a clinic and also in gyms and really helpful for my own research or to show to patient!.Version: 3.8

WonderfulI have muscle pro, skeleton pro, knee and shoulder. They continue to update and recently added several animations for different surgeries. They have changed the transverse, sagital and coronal views in several applications. They still don't allow 3 D movement in any view to rotate etc. Sometimes I need to explain small structures and can't quite get the view I want. I am a Physical Therapist in a primary orthopedic practice. I use these apps multiple times each day to explain pathology or recent surgery. Patients are amazed and frequently comment they now understand. Lots of thanks from them for taking the time to explain better than their physician did. I have been in practice more than 30 years and used multiple aids but this is the best ever, especially on the iPad..Version: 3.3.1

ExcellentI really love the convenience of this app, on my phone, fantastic!.Version: 3.8

Worth every penny and moreInvaluable in daily use in multiple device for daily clinical use and teaching physical therapy..Version: 3.8

Awesome! This is a fabulous learning tool! I love being able to remove layers of muscles to see muscles below. :).Version: 3.7

Unbeatable muscle views for iphone!I use this app everyday - best 3d anatomy of muscle system for the iphone and beats more expensive packages available for pc (which i have paid 10 times the price for in the past). Good value for money. Useful for doctors and med students getting to grips with anatomy.Version: 2.0
