I have started my team for the week and I have no bench players who have games. Then I pick up a waiver player (SG, SF) and drop another (SG, SF), which should have no effect on any other players on the roster. But for some reason it moves my starting players to the bench and gameless players to the Utility spots (???) why is waiver claims messing with my starting lineup??? ✓ We got a problem...I love the yahoo fantasy app, and have been in multiple leagues. I have recently started a late fantasy basketball league and have had more problems in two days than I have had in like 4 years. Problem 1: setting up the draft, I tried to set up the draft order. I tried to select something in the settings to do so and the app showed it but didn’t show up “blue” to let me click it. I just told the guys that we’d randomize it and apologized. Who knows, maybe you can’t do so 24 hours before the draft. Problem 2: after the draft, I set my roster and decided to look at my matchup for the week. It just showed me against me, and didn’t show any other matchups. Nobody else in the league had this issue. I deleted the app, restarted my phone, updated all my apps, and re downloaded the app. When I re-downloaded the app, I clicked back on and I was at the home screen. Once I clicked on the “basketball” icon the app would go to a black screen and glitch out. I could try NFL MLB and NHL and it wouldn’t do it. Only basketball.. please help me!!.Version: 10.4.4

✓ Do yourself a favor and use espnAlthough they share similar ratings, yahoo is an absolute joke for fantasy. ESPN also has roughly a million more reviews with just as high of a rating which is context worth considering. Waiver wire constantly crashes the night before it processes, cutting off managers from picking up players which on more than one occasion has cost me my season. ESPN used to have some serious problems but kinks have been worked out. Been using both for as long as I can remember, priority leagues on ESPN, hometown friends on yahoo because our GM has a weird thing for yahoo - espn hasn’t done me wrong in at least a decade. Yahoo messes up every single season like clockwork. Look at how ESPN has progressed in the last 2 decades, then look at how yahoo has been pushing the exact same archaic software they were pushing in 2000. Yahoo also has the worst analysts and news for sports, they’re like the weatherman, one of the few professions that gets paid to never be right..Version: 10.42.1

✓ Riddles with bugs and glitchesThis app is ridiculous this year I swear it’s even worse than it was last year with little bugs, here are a few notable ones: - You load the app and get a grey screen and you have restart the app a bunch of times times before it decides to work - Player profiles sometimes just don't load and you have to restart the app - Let’s say you’re on the league page tab, and you want to click a team to see their roster, so you tap on it, and nothing happens. You can tap anywhere else on the screen and nothing happens, until you switch tabs to players/my team/match up, and come back and try it again. Basically your entire tab just freezes and you need to switch tabs and then switch back again so that you can click on things Its really just ridiculous theres so many more bugs and they happen way too often. Yahoo engineers/programmers need to do a better job. In the player comment sections it constantly keeps signing me out and not letting me comment either.Version: 10.52.2

✓ An app so terrible I refuse to use itYahoo Fantasy has been the very worst fantasy app I’ve ever experienced for years running. It’s enraging and unusable. Terrible design. Lineups you think are saved aren’t. Constant cross-selling. It’s a trash app, and, quite simply, I won’t use it. I’ll use a web browser on my phone if I have to manage my rosters away from my MacBook. But two things got even worse this season. Basic data screens that used to be available for free are now only available through Yahoo’s idiotic + service. And very worst of all, app messaging is completely separate from normal league messaging through the website, which has absolutely wrecked communications in the two leagues I commish. As a result, I’m taking both of those leagues away from Yahoo altogether next season. I started both leagues on Yahoo more than a decade ago, and now I cannot wait to be free of Yahoo forever. ✓ Good, But Room For ImprovementThe app itself works well most of the time, it’s reliable, I use it for 90% of my fantasy transactions throughout the season. The biggest problem I’ve encountered is that the message board on the app and the message board on the browser are two entirely different forums for some reason. This definitely creates headaches, since it’s very confusing when half of the league is using one or the other. Kinda seems like they should be one and the same to cut out the possibility of being left in the dark on important announcements or just general league updates, trade requests etc. Speaking of which, it’d be really useful to have the trade block function operating on the app as well as the browser. My other primary complaint is pretty superficial, but I really miss the black background. Maybe you guys could add the option of night time mode? Seems easy enough. ✓ Non-intuitive stats interfaceIn some ways, the Yahoo Fantasy app is superior to the other big fantasy names out there. One example is the way the matchup projections update in real time. Simple feature where Yahoo has gone beyond the competition. On the other hand, a lot of the app interface leaves a lot to be desired. My biggest pet peeve is the way the stats are displayed and organized. Yahoo shows more stats than competitors, but separates the numeric stats from the stat headers with a second row for each player showing name, position, next game time, etc. This is terrible when trying to compare a list of players. Plus, stats are not grouped in intuitive ways. For example, receptions and targets are nowhere near each other. Re-arrange the stats and Yahoo becomes a really great fantasy platform. ✓ DONT GETOk I do not like this app.. I mean I’d play if it was the only app to play but seriously ESPN Fantasy and NFL fantasy are a lot better. One this one is really big but I prefer the white mode instead of dark mode and on ESPN and nfl it’s optional this it’s automatically dark. That isn’t really a big thing though here are some of my biggest pet peeves. 1. The graphics. The graphics are so glitchy. I’ll be drafting and it’ll just kick me off the draft nfl fantasy and ESPN fantasy don’t do that. 2. The money betting. In yahoo you have to actually get money to get money do your technically losing money if you lose. In ESPN And nfl fantasy there are options where you can bet but also ones where you can get free money from the app if you win. 3. The scoring glitches. When I’m playing a team I lost one game because the scores glitches. A player on my team got a certain amount of receptions and a certain amount of receiving yards, but the thing said the guy had two less receptions than he actually did and 24 less receiving yards. So these are the reasons why I don’t recommend this app and why I don’t like it. Like I said if it was the only app I’d probably play but no way when there’s nfl and ESPN fantasy which are way better..Version: 10.21.0

You can no longer see all match ups at the same time or easily add players by searching for them. ✓ Bill bengals game(first off happy that hamlin is doing good) but Im a commissioner for my league and we’re playing for money(not much but im speaking for the bigger pay games) im close with everyone in my league and have worked very hard getting to the 1st/2nd seed game for week 17 such as everyone else. This game has meant everything to us I was down 3 points with diggs, the game was canceled and my points were gone luckily everyone espically the guy i was going against has crowned me the winner but i called all bets off, how is it we played for such a long year and have this type of ending. Previously you could comment on a player which was a hub for player appreciation or frustration with injuries / poor performance. SHAMEOne of the most useful tools for basketball lineup setting is dropping down the ‘last 7 and last 14 and last 30 days’ stats and the first metric next to the players’ faces was their overall rank for that time period. This made close lineup decisions easier to decide on and now that metric is just gone.. all it shows you on the players card is their overall season rank which is useless for setting a lineup. I’ve won multiple leagues of baseball and basketball by being able to look at ‘last 7’ stats and yes use the stats but also the overall rank during that specific time frame to make tough decisions and now it’s just gone. Great, dark mode but that doesn’t help me at all when I’m trying to make decisions on players. It’s all aesthetic updates, nothing to help the actual fantasy players..Version: 10.15

They would understand that when a player does not play during the previous week and will not be expected to play the following week, that a new player will need to be added in order to set a complete line up. This can not be done when Yahoo fails to accurately report a players injury status. Yahoo consistently fails to provide users with a platform with up to date information and a fair space to play fantasy sports. Please do not own this platform if you are going to neglect accurately updating information so end users can have regular use. ✓ Yahoo Staff can’t recognize cheating on tradesI’ve been playing on Yahoo Fantasy since 2010, and I’ve found it fun. I play the pro league from $20-$100 a league, win or lose I’m not sour about it. This year on one of my basketball league, there was a cheater, I’m guessing one guy has 2 accounts in the same league. This guy basically is swapping his average player from one team to another. Here are actual examples: (trade 1: Demar derozan, Rob Covington for Al Horford, TJ Warren) I vetoed, but Yahoo approved the trade. At the time of trade, Derozan and Covington were top 30 players, Al horford is ranked 49, Warren was ranked 140. Trade 2, Will Barton for Isaiah Thomas. Trade 3, Joe ingles for Colin Sexton. The most outrageous trade is Paul George, Jokim Noah for D’Angelo russel and Collin Sexton. Anyone who plays Fantasy Basketball for money knows these trades are lopsided, and should not be making decisions on trades even when other players Vetoed. Couple of things, a Suspended player should be able to be added in the IR spot since yahoo doesn’t even offer a SUS bench spot. It isn’t right to use a bench spot on a SUS player when you have IR spots for players who aren’t available to play. So either add a SUS bench spot like you have the IR spot or make it possible to add a suspended player into an IR spot. The other thing, for example, Mike Williams hasn’t played a game in weeks yet every single week I can’t add a guy until I pull Williams out of IR (which requires me to drop someone) because his designation changes every Tuesday to questionable. Yahoo should keep a player designated as “out” until they are designated as “active” so managers can add another player without losing a bench spot. Also, a “bye” bench spot would be awesome too! Give managers the option to add these bench spots into their leagues and let us decide which ones we would like to implement. ✓ Rotowire is terrible. Find another stat-provider.How many people have to give you mediocre and 4 out of 5 star reviews simply because you won’t update your stats properly? It’s unreal and misguiding for any first-time leaguers. Simply just get a new provider for your stats, and add players batting averages and more face-value stats to the “player stat” page, rather than just their H/AB. Also, it’s almost impossible to comment in player chats anymore, everytime I attempt to comment, my comment gets wiped off immediately and i get no input. The chat feature is the way i get second and third opinions on how my team looks and now i have to solely bank off pure statistics that you guys don’t even provide properly. The star feature is also completely useless because it’s never accurate whatsoever. There’s a lot of work to be done, and i won’t be playing another year of Yahoo Fantasy if these problems aren’t solved. ✓ Please Fix the Discussion IssuesI really like this ad but I’m hoping my lower rating will get you attention to the things that should be fixed within the discussion section of the fantasy football player profiles. I am using the app on my Apple 14 phone. 1. When I go into a discussion section, I am unable to get out of it and need to restart the whole app. The arrow button at the top does not work. 2. When I click on my profile to see my comments, it takes me to a new page. What programmer(s) thought that was a good idea? Seriously? Sometimes, my profile won’t even load! And yes, my wifi is fine and my data works fine as well. I sometimes make comments with questions or replies and I’d like to see if there are any interaction. Which brings me to…. 3. Even when I click on my profile to see what comments I made on what discussions, it won’t show me ANY of the interactions and when I click on it, it won’t take me to my comment on the profile. I would very much like to see if anyone has replied. Especially on more popular players that have hundreds of comments rolling in at the same time. Please fix these things. ✓ App security and data collected on me.I do not want any data collected on me and I want my privacy. I do not like having to go through a two-step process to sometimes get into my Fantasy Football. I have already taken the step for facial recognition and that should be enough. Please do not link me to any other data collection that you may use, you do not have my authority to do that. As I mentioned, I already use facial recognition to sign into my yahoo Fantasy Football. However, it seems like once a month you have me fill out a different email and some different passwords with codes that you sent either to my email or to my phone. ✓ What’s with the ad’s!?Great app overall, has great features for setting lineups, picking up players etc. However, what’s with the ad’s when your viewing the your roster? ✓ Good app, but where are the poll and league pick em features??I like the layout and it has a nice user interface, but what I really don’t like are two things: 1) No poll feature- for some reason Yahoo decided to get rid of their poll feature, which made me upset. My buddies and I have been using yahoo for 15 years for our fantasy league, so each year we usually need to vote on a rule change. It would be really nice if yahoo brought that feature back 2- No League Pickem feature- why is there not a way to pick the fantasy matchup winner on the app? The browser has this option, but the app this is nowhere to be found. My league mates and I like to pick the matchups, and it ruins our fantasy experience when we have to go to the browser every time for that Other than those two things, that app is really good.Version: 10.1.2
✓ This is why we switched to ESPNI cannot believe that Yahoo is so dumb that they don’t realise that you need to see your team as you draft. The pages are wasted space (especially on the iPad) where I can’t see the players and the drafted players at the same time. To the developers please go look at ESPN and see how they do it because you are losing because you don’t know what you are doing. ✓ Has potential but lacks featuresI find myself using the website via my iPhone browser as there is no way to view league transactions or research (I use transaction trends mostly) - also why can't there be a setting for push notifications be sent through when a transaction (trade, add or drop) takes place in each league? It beats checking the website manually across the day! Also I'd rather remove the advertising and just pay $3 for the app - the adds are just annoying and degrade the user experience. ✓ Too much spent on upselling and not enough on functionalityToo many ads and daily fantasy crap clutters up the dashboard. Makes it hard to view the information about your teams that you downloaded this app for. Yuuuuuuge step backwards. Update: it's gotten worse. It's difficult to get notifications about your team without getting a bunch of updates that are irrelevant. Sometimes you have to wade around to find your team and league pages due to a changing startup page and two menus, one at the bottom and one at the upper left corner. Confusing. The most irritating thing is when you're trying to check stats when comparing players, and you can't see most of them because they've decided to upsell stats, like positional rankings that you can get on dozens of websites for free. Can't really think of more intrusive advertising than that. We've used Yahoo for over a decade for our FF league, but it's gotten to the point where we are seriously considering moving are league to a platform with less advertising, as it is now affecting the ability to manage our teams quickly..Version: 10.42.1

Lockett is my WR every time he gets point there was no Wilson scores - Because Rogers was in lineup - every time Lockett scores Wilson should have - I have proof but nothing happened. There are constant (but ineffective) calls to upgrade, and what appears to be opportunities to place bets (??) but when it comes to helping you manage a fantasy baseball team, it’s the worst. For example, I’ve spent way too much time trying to do the following tasks: 1 - Find out how my league calculates the scoring. Seems like a pretty important thing to know, since it’s a competitive league where we all paid real money to participate. But I’ve looked and looked and still can’t locate this info. 2 - Find out if I have any available roster spots. I’m baffled that NOWHERE on the roster page is there an indication of how many roster slots you have available and how many you have filled. I accidentally came across this information on another page in the app and discovered that I had an open roster slot but had no idea. For how long?? Who knows. 3 - Add a player to IL. I actually had to ask a friend how to accomplish this because there is no obvious way. But if a player is injured, and marked as such, should there not be a clearly marked button that offers you the chance to move them to IL? Next year, I will not make the same mistake of using Yahoo for fantasy baseball. This is the first time I’ve done this in years, so I was excited to get back into it, but this app has tarnished my experience..Version: 10.48
✓ Good But Could be BetterYahoo’s fantasy app does a much better job than ESPN’s. I’ve been a Yahoo user for years, and appreciate most of what the app has to offer. However, with the amount of competition we are finally seeing in the fantasy app world, Yahoo seems to be dropping the ball a little. The app is incredible slow to react, and often times, it’ll time out. My whole league has this issue, and I’ve seen it mentioned on social media. This needs to be fixed ASAP. Yahoo doesn’t focus on customization so much, and loses the battle between Fantrax by a wide margin. My league is starting to wonder wether Fantrax will be the direction to take in the next year or two unless Yahoo focuses more on their fantasy hockey customization as well as app connection and fluidity. ✓ Glitches and players missingI’ve been using the yahoo fantasy app for over eight years now in a while and most of the time it’s been pretty good but this year it’s been a mess. The website and app has been glitchy for months and also we drafted our players in June but there are several missing players from the players pool so it screwed up our draft! (Guys like Josh Allen, Joey bosa, kayvon thibodeaux etc) And we play keepers, which made it even harder. Right now it’s July 13 and they said they were going to fix it but it’s been over a month. Also the site has been glitchy when using their drop-down menus. And worst issue is in commissioner tools. If you change a scoring or roster setting, it doesn’t warn you that it will delete ALL OF YOUR KEEPER SETTINGS INCLUDING DRAFT PICKS AND KEEPERS. this is a HUGE issue that has frustrated endless people. I really hope they fix that soon one day. But with the problems that they’re currently having and how long it’s taking to fix, I’m currently worrying if Yahoo! doesn’t care about their app as much and maybe I should move over to another app like espn..Version: 10.50.1

✓ App is functional - but reactivates betting notifications despite manually turning them off.I only use Yahoo Fantasy app because my fantasy league fee is on Yahoo. Normally I disable notifications for the app throughout the non football year, but this year with the new iOS additions I decided I would turn on and modify the notifications so that I only received the notifications related to my fantasy team. Yahoo immediately abused this minor level of trust by sending me unrelated fantasy information and sports betting information - despite repeatedly turning off sports betting notifications. The app literally turns them on again automatically. It is is egregious that it would turn these back on, as the app already has ads included - especially because there are those who play fantasy as a way to keep up with friends and family but have gambling problems. Notification access for this app was immediately revoked. I'd rather have my fantasy team tank because I forgot something or didn't know someone was injured then allow it to be on at all..Version: 10.40.4

✓ Team toggleYahoo, you need to give us the option of toggling between teams without going to the dashboard. It’s a completely wasted step to have to navigate to the dashboard to switch to a different team. So many reviews are complaining about this exact issue. Fix it or go back to the previous version. No one likes the dashboard. No one. Response to yahoo: Yes, I’m in a lot of leagues, which is exactly why the team switcher as you called it was so valuable. With one touch, I could find the team I want to look at and immediately be directed to my team. Now I have to first navigate to the dashboard and then select my team. It might not seem like a lot but one extra touch or click adds up when you are navigating a lot teams, which many of us are. Not to mention that the dashboard itself takes a lot longer to load then just selecting my team. Lastly, for those of us that have zero interest in daily fantasy or yahoo fantasy news, the dashboard is just pointless. I’m not sure who you are catering to, but it’s not your competitive players that are signing up for high end money leagues. The team toggle was literally the best part about your app navigation and you voluntarily decided to do away with it. Whoever is leading your product design should be fired..Version: 10.50.2
✓ FF Functionality is Fine, Messaging is HorridWe’ve been using Yahoo’s fantasy app for years. No issues with how to set lineups, view matchups, info, etc. all great. What the h*ck happened to the messaging portion. No pictures, no gifs from outside their gif search.... I don’t understand it. It is the biggest complaint we have, nobody wants to use the chat for anything. A huge part of the fun of Fantasy sports is talking crap and sending our own pictures, gifs, etc, and that has been removed from the app, for reasons unknown. I’m in two leagues through Yahoo, and both have minimal chat presence as a direct result of this. Essentially, this app just seems bland now. It’s just as lame as the ESPN one. We’re pretty much forced to use Facebook messenger or something else. Please fix or reimplement the messaging as it once was, not this watered down, childish chat..Version: 10.13.2

This 7-8 day gap where my league has not been able to and refuses to use the chat available has ruined this years fantasy baseball for all of us. If this continues I will be moving all of my leagues to a different App other than Yahoo Fantasy and I’ve been with Yahoo since 2011.
