✓ Camera+ or Camera+2Sorry but is the company now operating as 'tap tap tap' or 'LateNightSoft'? It seems to me that the recent release of Camera+2 is purely a money grab. Does this mean you will be stopping further development of Camera+, why can't customers who've already invested in the App be given the new version free of charge! Early reviews suggest it's buggy and slow! I don't appreciate buying the same product three times! I already bought the iPad version and iPhone version of Camera+ and now you're advertising the purchase of Camera+2! Poor show I say, greedy!.Version: 10.12
✓ New stabilizer is deal breakerI have used this app for a number of years to take photos for my business and personal use. I have recommended it to hundreds of people as it was the best way to take a picture and make the most of it before transferring it to your photo gallery. That is no longer the case and I am strongly considering deleting it from my phone completely. The new function that will not take a picture unless the app considers the camera to be absolutely stable is infuriating. It is already a downside that it takes too long to open the app in order to take a Candid picture in the moment. Now, half of the time the phone will not take the picture at all! It just continues to say that the camera is not stable no matter how stable you are holding it. I have missed way too many pictures since it installed this feature and it is just not worth it. If you want to be really angry, continue using this app. Otherwise, I would strongly recommend not even starting..Version: 10.11

✓ What’s happened?When I bought this app it worked beautifully and I loved it. However, over the last month it has stopped working properly and although it ‘clicks’ like it’s taking a photo it doesn’t always take one and it then immediately closes down. I’ve tried removing it from my phone and reinstalling it but as it cost £4.99 I’m loath to delete it permanently to then have to pay for it again. Is there a way to fix this please?.Version: 10.18
✓ Don't buy anymoreThis used to be one of my favorite camera apps. Unfortunately no more. With this release, there's a nasty bug in the program and I reported it. I sent information of my findings, and how to recreate the problem. After 48 hours, there's been no response or acknowledgement from them. I edited some photos, added effects and titles and saved the photos to my camera roll. I am able to see my edits on my phone and share with people. However, when I import the edited pictures to my Mac (Photos app), the photo shows up, but ALL my edits, crops, etc are gone! Just to make sure, I tested editing a photo, saving it and then importing to the computer. The same problem happened. The edits show up on the phone camera roll. None of the edits transferred to the computer! The picture ends up on the computer unedited..Version: 9.1

✓ UpdatesEven though I've had Camera Plus app for quite a while and it's a great camera app to use. Recently my view has changed. After upgrading phones over years and never having an issue re-installing the app. I've purchased most of the function extras for the app. But now with my recent phone upgrade, I re-installed the app, and now I have to purchase all the extras again. ✓ OveratedHmmm... bit of hype in the marketing blurb for this app. Probably a bit overrated in that there is nothing additional that you can't do with the original camera app other freely available software. In fact, I'm having errors with my camera roll and being able to view pics from my PC when I try to download the pics from the phone to diff folders to be synced back to the iphone. If I could, I would ask for a refund as I don't think I'll ever use this app again..Version: 0

✓ Raw files, but only sometimes.I got this as it is a nice app, and works well as long as you don’t care about quality. Since getting my iPhone 8 plus and wanting to shoot raw ive seen more JPGs than anything else. If you save as a certain format plus Raw, its hit or miss if you get the raw file. I’m getting .DNG files that are about 2MB in size, and these are defiantly not raw files. Ive had a few raw files that have been 10MB+ but these are few and far between. This has noting to do with the fact that Raw will be disabled if you use the two cameras at once, or use the zoom feature (other than x1 and x2). This is purely to do with the Save file format selection. Anyone looking to use this phone in a more pro way, be wary of this app, at least for now..Version: 10.0.1

✓ Camera+This used to be a fantastic app. Unfortunately, the upgrade that was meant to fix some issues like the Facebook share functionality has wrecked the app for me. ✓ Turn off the flashlight!I was poking around on the icons and turned on the flashlight. A big box opened up telling me this would drain my battery. I think I had to confirm that I really did want to turn on the flashlight. The box closed and I couldn't find the flashlight icon. I found that it had just moved to the opposite end of the row. What is the reason for moving it after turning on the flashlight? So I clicked on the flashlight icon again, assuming it would turn off the flashlight. NOT! I clicked a few more times and it still didn't turn it off. I clicked the menu and that was unhelpful. Eventually the flashlight turned off. I don't know if it was due to something I did or it just automatically turns itself off. Lesson learned - if you're giving it an ON switch; then it's going to need an OFF switch..Version: 10.10.11
✓ Can’t save selfiesI’ve been using this app for quite some time on my iPhone 6S plus with great success. I now have an iPhone 12 pro max and the only way I can save selfies to my camera roll is to select portrait mode, which I’m not a fan of. ✓ Not worth downloading - literallyI’ve been a user of this app for years now, and have loved it. But recently, I spend my time editing my photos to save them to my photo roll - to wake up the next day, to find them totally back to their original state - still duplicated, but without effects and tweaks. Making anything you do, a total waste of time. I’ve contacted the app developers with no reply, or care for that matter. ✓ Camera+ LegacyOver the years I have purchased Camera+ on two separate occasions because it is one of my most effective and favorite apps. Today after cropping one photo, realized I no longer have the “current” Camera+ but the legacy version and can no longer edit or save a photo. Am fully aware that Camera+ is a business and needs to survive. Disappointed that Camera+ has chosen to almost completely disable my legacy version and render it useless. I will not spend $4.99 per month or purchase the app for $50. Camera+ doesn’t care about my business so will start using the Apple camera and their improved application. ✓ A generous 3 starsTrying to change the format on the fly is quite frustrating. Just to change the pictures size requires you to tap through all the sizes until you land on the one you want and if you happen to pass the one you want, you have to go through it all again and the just the beginning. If you’re in a hurry trying to capture a fleeting shot don’t use this app. Your phone might not survive. This app still freezes up and crashes here and there, not as bad as before but still maddening when it does. I had to close it last week when it froze in the stabilizer mode even though I had it secure on a dam wall. My main camera is still the one in my iPhone 7. ✓ Once upon a time, Camera+ is used to be goodI have been using Camera+ for several years now and it has been a go-to app whenever I want to shoot something manually. Thanks to its extension manual setting capabilities. The latest update, however, is a disappointment. I have had several problems such as: - major lagging when switching front and back cameras - slow over all performance - the app draws too much battery and it heats up the phone after just a short time of usage - crash occasionally when working with raw files and saving multiple pictures at once - major issue: it crashes my phone by showing just black screen. No response from home button, no way to terminate the app. I had to force restart the phone to get over it. While the new update brings new features but issues with stability is really a big set back. After all, stability is the whole reason for iPhone users. I reduce my rating to 2 stars due to current issues until developer has solution for it. I’m using IPhone 7 Plus, which I believe it is still current and able to run every app in the AppStore..Version: 10.0.1
✓ Has Dev changed?As I finance professional I understand the need for subscription-based pricing; without it, an app becomes unsustainable for the Dev long term. In its infancy the App Store only had free and one-time-purchase offerings, essentially creating the belief by some users they were entitled to a lifetime subscription, to include maintenance and upgrades, with no further cost. App development is an occupation, and compensation is the motivation that provides further development; without it, a developer’s interest may wane and cause the app to drown in the sea of abandonware we saw in early days. The vast saturation of mobile devices leaves a small handful of first time purchasers, unlike the early days of App Store. That being said… I’ve used Camera+ for many years and noticed it stopped working due to the addition of the subscription model. What I’m confused about is what developer own the app. There appears to be (at least) two Camera+ apps along with an app called Photon but are these by the same developer? Can we get some transparency into the transition and information on whether three apps are supported by the same team (despite having different dev names? I see my comment has already been asked but I’d like to see an answer before committing to an annual sub. I also thought there was a video app that no longer appears in the store..Version: 10.33
✓ Cannot edit w/out it going blurry!I’ve used this app for years and have never had an issue. After taking a photo, it’s the first photo editor I’ll use, without even thinking about it. It’s habit! But the last several times I’ve tried to use it, I can crop the picture if I need to, but once I get to messing with the saturation or the exposure or try to sharpen it, the picture goes blurry and doesn’t show my changes correctly. It just stays blurry. I’m sure it will be fixed and am hoping this is not some ploy to lure your customers to start paying for your “new” Camera+ 2 app that is probably just the update to Camera+ “Legacy”..Version: 10.16

✓ Depth mode, where?Depth mode if you’re running ios11 which I am. So why can’t I find it? Seems you have to have an iPhone 7 or later. Why would it not run on an iPhone 6? There’s only the macro mode I use this app for now which is brilliant btw..Version: 10.0.1
✓ Library Wiped OutAfter using this app for more than 4 years, I'll admit I had a lot of photos I should've saved on there. I use Camera + like a backup whenever I run out of space on my camera roll. But doing that finally caught up to me - the app started getting really glitchy and would quit on me at times. This one time when I kept taking photo after photo and then the app closed. When I reopened it, my entire library was gone. After refreshing it many times, I reached out to the app's support but they never responded. This happened back in July. What gives me hope is that this app still takes up a huge amount of space according to my storage usage. Does that mean my library's still there? Please advise..Version: 10.10.1
✓ Locations still not correctSo I’ve just returned from holiday where I took around 100 photos using Camera+. Just been looking through them and find yet again that most of the locations are incorrect. Some of them are out by over 100 miles! Some show locations of places I visited several days previously. Photos I took using the standard Apple camera are fine. I contacted the Camera + support team about this around a year ago. They didn’t even bother to reply. ✓ Erased my photos for no reasonNormally I really enjoy Camera+, especially as a back up camera since I often run out of storage on my iPhone. However yesterday I was taking a bunch of photos throughout the day, erasing some from my camera roll as I went to make sure I could keep snapping. And when I went back to look at them many hours later, the majority of them were gone, including some really special ones I had taken the day before. I have no idea why this happened or how to get them back. It seems the app malfunctioned or something, but I've never seen it do that before and I am extremely disappointed, to say the least. I have a bad feeling they're gone forever since I hadn't yet saved them on my phone or to my computer. ✓ Macro functionI am really unhappy with how my macro pics are coming out. No more sharp beautiful macro I was able to take prior to whatever changes you made. I used to be able to focus in really close, the closer the sharper but now I have to step back to take macro pics and it is not zooming in the way it should. What is that all about? I’ve done everything I know to tweak the settings to make it work but no luck! I am thinking about ditching Camera plus and finding something else. I am sad and disappointed. ✓ Just use the Apple iPhone camera.Apple has made the iPhone camera ubiquitous with phone photography for a reason. No need for 3rd party apps any longer. Just use the iPhone Camera app. It will do the job. It is quicker, too. ***prior review below*** This camera app came out a long time ago & was mostly a filter-cam for basic uses. The built-in camera app was just as good, just without filters. However, with the 6 & 6 plus cameras & added functionality, the new Camera + app tweaks have made it a very useful app. The controls are easy to use and it is my primary camera now. I still don't use the filters very much, but I'm glad they are there if I need them. Nice to see the TIFF option added. The devs for this app have kept updating and improving it. ✓ Nice but . . .This app does a few things well and offers some innovative filters and other tools that definitely offer the user some effective and useful options for creatively manipulating images, and even improving borderline exposures. Having said that, there are shortcomings that include crashes while saving and loss of images beyond a certain undefined date. If nothing else, Camera+ should indicate at what point photos will be deleted from the plus database so they can be archived elsewhere. 2 years later update: Ugh, still losing some great images due to unannounced cloud deletion, and crashes when saving edited images makes this very frustrating app. Get ready to tear your hair out if you push your creative skills. ✓ Nice app, but difficult to transfer photos to PCNice app, very easy to use and with good edition options. Much better than the default camera. Backing up is extremely difficult though, since the app doesn't use the file sharing option in iTunes to enable you to transfer the photos to your pc. You have to fluff about by transferring all of your photos to the camera roll of the apple default camera, then open the iphone as a device in "My Computer" on the desktop and then drag and drop the mixed files. A real drawback. 645 Pro is an example of a camera app that allows itunes transfer of photos - and it saves full size TIFF files..Version: 3.7.1

✓ The BGood but lacks some basic functions that u get on free apps. Rotating images to any angle for example with finger pinch - not only flip or 90degree rotations please. Also loading scenes is too slow and should be a change after the effects option as can completely change the image. Contrast options etc should be on this. ✓ Not happy. Company is underhand.I originally purchased the camera plus app some years ago and paid for it. Now it has been updated to + legacy it no longer appears in my app account as even downloaded. I can open it on my old phone but can no longer download the paid version from my account to my new phone. I have reported this to the developer and am waiting for a reply. If I do not hear from them I shall be seeking advice from Apple. This is such a shame as I used the app frequently and was about to upgrade to the latest and newly designed version. This I now marred my entire experience and those who have had the same experience should complain loudly. ✓ Latest update cause a phone reboot!I love all the features in the new release, when it works, it take awesome photos, portrait mode on here destroys the standard iOS app. However on my iPhone 7 Plus (iOS 11.0.2), the performance is terrible, the camera stops working (blank screen), huge lag on screen refresh (seconds sometimes). More troubling is that whilst using it (no other apps open), the performance dropped again and it caused my phone to reboot. Hope this gets looked at soon, the app is amazing when it works. Could well be something Apple did in 11.0.2 of course, I've only myself to blame for updating right away!).Version: 10
✓ No access to LightboxI have purchased this app and unless you set your setting to save pictures to your iPad/iPhone you are not going to have access to them. It says the photos are saved to “lightbox” and you edit them in “the lab”, but I am not able to even find my photos. I went on Camera+ site and after and hour I was able to find a place to send an email for help. Unfortunately, what I received back from them was an automated email giving me a case number and asking to to please wait for someone to contact me. I have “iCloud sharing” enabled - but again, I need to have “Lightbox” which seems to not exist unless you are a guru or the like. I am glad I didn’t waste a lot of money - very disappointed in the app, and the creators for not having help available when needed..Version: 10.10.10
✓ Getting tiredThe developers of Camera+ really should add a ton of new features, new filters, new frames etc. The app is starting to feel very stagnant and uninteresting. While it’s been cosmetically updated over the years, and has had a few new tools added, it’s essentially the same app today as it was at inception..Version: 10.12
✓ Finally gave upThis was an extraordinary app when I started using it years ago. The controls remain top-notch. But lordy, the lag! Native camera app spins up in a second or two and shutter response is nimble. Camera+ on a good day is 4-5 seconds of black screen, then the camera, which then gets rescaled a second later. OK, I can live with that, but pop the shutter and just sit there. Hit it again, nothing, again, nothing. Shift your framing and then the shutter pops. Give up in disgust and lower the camera and two more pop off in rapid succession. Granted, I'm on an iPhone 6, so nothing is zippy, even after the battery swap. But again if you benchmark this against the native app, there's no comparison. "Spontaneous" photos are completely impossible. Thought to upgrade the v2, but the reviews there cite the same problem.
