✓ Great if it workedI so wanted this to work. As a photographer, tracking the sun in a useful 3D map via the camera sounded great. Having tried calibrating repeatedly, I am still unable to get the sun anywhere near where the app thinks it is. It's not cheap and I feel I have wasted my money. If you want a simple way of following the sun's path for the day I suggest Starwalk. At least with that app you can manually calibrate where the sun is. Developers please listen to the users and fix it!.Version: 2.8

✓ No good for quick solstice reckoningReally fed up. This is the third app I have bought that I thought would give me Solstices/equinoxes info at a glance. As you see, the screen shots show summer and winter solstices 2009. Little did I know that today - March 3rd, my newly downloaded app would STILL show the solstice info from 2009! what is the point in that??!.Version: 0
✓ APP DOESNT WORK: True north/compass errorUPDATE: The app randomly started working again (This is non a non-3G iPad with location services enabled) for several months. It was a joy to get to use what I had paid for. I contacted the developer about the problem originally, and they told me that it was not their fault and that it was not Apples fault, and they would not give me credit to try the app on another device or refund me. RANDOMLY AGAIN, FEB 16 2021 the app broke again. Same problem. No changes have been made on the app or the iPad in question, no new applications installed or anything of that nature. This is a major error, without True North/compass calibration functioning the app is basically useless. Thanks for nothing! After the latest update to this app most of the features wont work because it instantly throws an error message saying it can’t calibrate to true north because the iPad compass settings are wrong. I checked all the settings, everything is fine - the update ruined this expensive app right when I was going to use it to plant a garden. I should get a refund..Version: 6.3

✓ Excellent but......the inability to easily input a location and save it, makes this App toy-town. Talk about a page one, school boy error... Scrolling around the map on an iPhone screen is annoying enough but to then not be able to save the position one has just scrolled to is dumber than a box of frogs. The easiest way I have found to save a location is to copy and paste the Lat and Long from Google Earth - a free app on the store. So silly 'cause apart from that this works brilliantly. Just needs "drop pin" functionality and the ability to label and save that location, "simples". Apologies if I have missed something but if I have it is not through want of trying..Version: 2.0

✓ Could be good but....It could be good app but there is couple of things that are just wrong, very wrong. 1) There is no option of typing in a location. So if you planing a photo shoot in Paris and would like to know where sun and shadows will be YOU HAVE TO ACTUALLY GO THERE and use this app. I think once you there you could just look around or am I missing the point??? 2) In the map view there is no way of getting it display your current location. If you use the app in Oxford than come to London and launch it again your map will still be in Oxford!!! After some trial and error I've found out that after restarting your phone the app will reload and will start at your current location but that's just ridiculous. Definitely NOT WORTH the money until fixed..Version: 1.5

After reading the details of the app. I believed it would show the changing shadows of surrounding buildings and trees on a particular location or address over the course of the day. All it shows is the direction of the sun on a still shot. Really I can do that on any map app and not waste $15. ✓ NopeI’ve attempted to contact this business and have got no reply’s I am a photographer and need to know when the the sun rises over the mountains. This app does not offer a preview of the land. I have the sun survayer app and that will show you a picture of the location you enter so I can actually see where the sun rises or dips over the mountain. This app only gives you a birds grid and a street view using a street map, which is not helpful in my case. If I’m missing something here I would love to know. Because getting a hold of these guys is proving to be impossible.Version: 6.0
✓ Solar Clock widget is broken!Please fix this and I will give this five stars. This app helped me get a better understanding of how the sun moves and helped me build the sundial in my front yard and now I’m VERY disappointed that there’s now a visual glitch on the Solar Dial widget where it’s all black and does not show the twilight times at all, especially now it’s almost the June solstice. I have tried resetting iOS to factory settings and keeping it up to date and have deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times to no avail. Please fix this!.Version: 6.5
✓ Used to work great. now completely inaccurate.This used to be a very useful app. i teach photography and knowing where the sun will be is so helpful to planing shoots and scouting locations. this app now doesn’t work properly anymore. whenever i can see where the sun is it’s obvious that the sun seeker app thinks the sun is somewhere else completely. broken. buy a different app ..Version: 5.6.3
