Logos: Deep Bible Study for Positive User Reviews

Too overwhelmingI’m sure this is an excellent app for someone able to leverage all its functionality (and able to afford the additional resources), but I simply found it too overwhelming and went back to e-Sword..Version: 22.0.1

Un comparableThis app logos is on a league of its own it syncs all my Greek and hebrew to all my devices at once and make the work load so much easier.Version: 5.17.1

FANTASTICLogos App is amazing. So easy to use, search, and carry around an entire library wherever I go in all my devices. Currently I’m awestruck by what it enables me to do on my iPad. Logos support is also great..Version: 6.5.6

Love this app!I’ve been wanting to go deeper in my faith and understanding of Gods word. Logos has everything you could ever want in a Bible study resource. There are a TON of features, and it does take a few hours to get used to and find your style of study within the app, but once you do it is incredibly satisfying. I love the fact that you can purchase additional resources from their library to take your studies to the next level. They did an incredible job of taking the desktop app and seamlessly turning it into a mobile app that has all of the same functionality. That’s not something you often see in apps with this many features. If you are looking for ways to grow closer to God or just study Christianity, look no further than Logos..Version: 30.0.4

Will not load-updateI like to take my time and use an app (I don't write that many, unless I am VERY happy or have other strong comments) before I write a review. However, it is hard to use an app that will not open. I have just started to use the Logos app a fair amount, when all of a sudden it will not open. A Bible you can not open is not worth having. One must always be able to access the Bible you are carrying. Stability is more important than features. All the features in the world are of no use if you can not open the app. After deleting and reinstalling now loads, however, not always on the first try. I do like Logos Bible App even if it is a little buggy. I will update again sometime. Also, wish I could do at least some continuous scrolling ESP. on the phone. How do I copy a passage to send to someone?.Version: 9.14.1

Latest update a step backwardThe new tabbed version doesn’t allow using the Passage Guide on a single screen and creates cumbersome interface. Additional info: Old way: come across Bible passage, swipe up on it and it brings up menu to choose Passage Guide, which then splits same screen and you have all the passage guide links relative to that verse. You can hit them sequentially and read them in same screen, easy-peasy. New way: come across Bible passage, go up to upper right and hit button, then choose Passage Guide which opens to new tab. Then you choose a link in Passage Guide and it opens up a new tab as well. Now you have multiple tabs to keep track of and anytime you want to change between them you have to hit another button (the tab button at bottom). Once you read one resource, you hit tab button, scroll through to find the Passage Guide again, hit another link for another resource, that opens in another screen, and you read it, then hit the tab button, go back and find your Passage Guide, hit the next link on it... UPDATE: I wasn’t aware of the two-finger swipe to move between tabs - that does make it less cumbersome (if not as easy as before), so I moved rating up..Version: 6.0.5

App keeps crashingWhy does this app keep crashing and hanging? When it doesn’t crash and hang this app is an amazing study guide for the Bible and has amazing devotions..Version: 8.10.1

Notes option not so friendlyEverything is fantastic except “Notes” function. Not easy to reference, cannot put in your own note writings and then reference backwards to the verse. Separate comment - different pages stay open and cannot close them- confusing as to which one I was at..Version: 8.0.8

Awesome. Amazing. Fenominal . Supa!I love logos. I use it for reading as a student and it's great! It's really cool bro. So is accordance. Go accordance! Go logos!.Version: 9.11.1

Needs updateI feel that with the recent power of the new iPad’s, especially the iPad pros, the app should have followed suit to become more powerful. I believe having the same home page as the desktop version would be most beneficial, being able to scroll the cards. I would suggest perhaps making the iPad Pro versions as close to the desktop version as it is more powerful and able to do more. Love the app and use it daily just hope that a more modern update is in the works. Previous post: Still my favorite Bible study too especially now on the larger iPad Pro. I like that there are a lot of features from the desktop version and I hope that they continue to add more to the pro iPad. If I had to make a request I would add the crossword puzzle maker! What a great way to pass the time when traveling and using mobile devices! And the sermon editor document tool and also the visual word mapping..Version: 8.11.1

Online titles are greatOverall the product (desktop, laptop and mobile) is solid. I’ve had the logos 6 for a couple of years now and honestly I bought it thinking that I would use it way more often. Due to it being way more difficult to use than I thought it should be I quit using it until recently. After giving it another shot and a lot more time it’s been growing on me again. BE AWARE there is a BIG LEARNING CURVE for new users. The depth of study is incredible. Compared to other programs/Apps it is good, if your looking to invest some time and a chunk of change to study this is the one for you. If you don’t need a ton of resources than maybe consider an alternative. I’m not trying to dissuade anyone at all, but it can be a substantial investment so do your homework. Regards.Version: 6.1.1

TTI own a Logos Bible Study Software Package which I run on my laptop. I also run Logos as an App on both my iPad as well as on my iPhone. Since I own a Logos Package I can download books on my iPad and iPhone which means that I don't rely on continuous internet connectivity to be able to operate the Logos App. Fantastic to have so much bible study capability at my fingertips..Version: 2.1.3

A superior tool for studying the bibleLove this app, it has helped deepen my understanding of Gods word. Bless you guys for all the hard work you put into developing and constantly updating it..Version: 3.4.0

Absolutely perfect bible studyI have to leave this comment! This must be the best app to understand and use for all my Bible studies. Wonderful! Love it!.Version: 9.1.1

Best bible appIf you have paid for logos software, this is best bible app ever. With all resources available at your finger tips and the logos tools available when using this app, this is the premium app for bible study..Version: 6.5.1

It doesn't get any better than this! What a fabulous Program! I love it soooo much!!!I graduated from Quicken to Logos because I could see Logos had a desire to be continually working to improve, and I could see it was so user friendly. I love the training that is available and the on going education opportunities there are. I love the availability of my commentaries. The ongoing upgrading and perfecting for the sake of the user in mind. It is so user friendly and smooth, anyone can use it, from beginner to advanced scholar. What a fantastic bible software! Love the program and the customer service is second to none!!! So helpful!.Version: 9.16.1

Lots of Tabs - Poor Instructions on UsageI have used Logos "Diamond" level desktop version 7 for the past eight years and have no complaints about its resources or functionality. However, I cannot say the same for this “new” iPad tab version app and its functionality. Compared to the previous version, which I have used during the last two years, Faithlife has failed to forewarn users of such sudden changes in its software, nor has it provided adequate information or instruction for previous version users to migrate to this new design. How unfortunate and yes, I did review those “Speedy Gonzales videos. What a waste of programming time with absolutely no real instructional substance. I was blindsided from one day to the next when I opened the app and found you I am now ignorant on how to get from one aspect of the program to another. You got it! I am not happy with Faithlife’s sudden approach in forcing current users to learn a new way of navigating its app software, without adequate warning. At the very least, Faithlife could have given current users the option of remaining with the old navigation menus that are engrained in one’s mind and then allow users to switch once better “tab” menu instructions are available. David Zachary, MTS.Version: 6.0.5

Fantastic app!Logos is very well built with great attention to detail. As an example, Hebrew paper books read from right to left and start where you would usually expect to find the back of the book, so Logos emulates this by requiring left to right swipes to progress through Hebrew books. Logos includes a lot of useful free resources, but it really comes into its own when you pay to buy resources and build a digital theological library. The way all the parts of your library can crossreference to each other is amazing!.Version: 5.4.4

Unsurpassed for Bible Reading and Theological StudyGreat for sermon preparation with indepth study tools..Version: 10.0.1

The Logos Bible! Getting better but can always improve. The dev team is awesome. They are really working hard to making this app a great study and resource tool. The app is getting a lot more user friendly and easier to study. It is not the desktop app but it is getting there. I use the app more than I use the desktop app. The one thing I would love for the dev team to work on would be the note taking functionality. The app makes you leave your reading and takes you off to a different screen. Would it be possible to have notes in a tab? Also it would be nice to know when you created a note so you can reference back when you created it for reference. It would be nice to have the note with the date on the side of the note. Other than that this app surpasses every other bible App in the App Store when it comes to bible study and accessing a huge library of resources. Nothing else has the tremendous amount of resources as Logos does. You have to try it to believe it. The Logos team just keep out doing themselves. The app keeps getting better with every release. Do not hesitate to get this app..Version: 6.0.7

Keeps restarting and not workingCan you do some stability updates?.Version: 9.3.0

Good not greatFreezes when trying to highlight.Version: 6.4.0

A good bible appIt’s good, I use it lots.Version: 9.14.1

Worth perseveranceI have been using logos forever and it is for sure a heavy hitter in the Bible software category. There is however a learning curve that I have to admit has kept me in the minor leagues. Could I up my game? Yes indeed but I succumb to the path of least resistance often and just google it. Maybe I should re-google logos for newbies and get out of the shallow end of the pool. I am really enjoying the mobile version on my phone and I think it’s because it seems like a slightly more simple environment..Version: 23.0.0

Invaluable tool, but notes need to have resizable text.I have used this app for years now and I can say I really enjoy all the functionality of the app. You can split different versions and have commentaries in a side window and many more invaluable bible study tools. I found the revised common lectionary daily readings where free and what’s more the links open up to my favourite bible translation on the side window which is set with the commentaries as well. Note taking is invaluable again and you can choose the icon and what it links to as well, so if you link your comment to a verse rather than a version your comment will be available on any translation and resource. Now there is one niggle as my eyes are getting dim that I have not sorted, although there may be an answer, that is notes when writing them, the text is too small for me and I would like to write the notes with an enlarged font, I can set the fonts in the main reading window as big as I like but not the notes on an iPad and that is where I do the main bulk of my reading, note taking and reflecting before going to my forest hut to pray and reflect. Thank you logos mammoth effort..Version: 29.0.0

ExcellentI have used many application to read the Bible and study .. This is the best ,useful, friendly and easy to use tool . I like the most the concordance tool and find commentaries ..great ..hope it will be up to dated and improved further ..Version: 1.8.3

Logos Bible appI really love this Bible app for all that it provides however I had issues not able to remove highlighted portion and underlined. I found this difficult even after many try’s so deleted the app in frustration..Version: 9.15.0

Logos is a great tool!As a Worship Pastor, lover of the Word, and just all around passionate disciple of Christ, I have so appreciated the in depth level of study I can get from the tools given me through Logos Bible software. I love the cross platform functionality it provides for me (iMac, iPad, iPhone, etc.), and the way I can access all of my library from multiple devices and apps (at times I honestly do not understand the benefit of this though? (e.g. Faithlife, Ebooks, etc.,)). The only real negative I have is how much time can be spent researching (not that the tool/app is slow, but the lack of restraint from the present author)! I am a researcher by nature, and this tool is a deep well of endless researching capabilities that if one is not careful will result in hours of time being spent on a single word from your Bible reading plan that day that you never really noticed before! And we’re off, Bible Word study opens, oh I never knew that is what that meant, and then dictionaries lead to more searches, searches lead to guides being opened, and on and on it goes! It is delightful, but one must learn to manage it well! Haha Thank you Logos team for a great resource!.Version: 23.0.1

Great portable bible libraryFantastic resource, easy to use although a little slow to load at times. Much improved with latest interface upgrade.Version: 3.0.0

AMAZING BIBLE STUDY APP!I recommend again and again, it helps with further bible study and if you find it hard to stay long with the scriptures, this app is for you!I enjoy the different translations and bible study plan xxx.Version: 26.0.1

ResourcesI really appreciate the variety of bible versions available in this app. It makes getting clarity on the text quickly with having to flip through several pages to find a passage.. There are other factors such as biblical courses, and other resources to deepen one’s understanding and knowledge in biblical studies. Thank you 😊.Version: 10.1.0

Logos appBoth this app on PC and the iPhone itself are now an indispensable part of my ministry. Thank you for your part: may t Lord prosper t work of your hands! But pse keep things reasonably simple even as you enrich t software; intuitive is best! Pax et gaudium.Version: 1.8.3

Love the update except for one annoyance...**Update - Adding a star for amazing customer response. My Recents are already back! Thanks so much for bringing such a powerful and easy to use reference tool! The new update with tabs is phenomenally helpful, making it very easy to switch between several references easily. But in the update one helpful feature was dropped. In looking up references, you had three choices for selection: Verse, Contents and Recent. The Recent choice allowed me to bounce around several resources but easily look back to where I had started from and return to it. This is especially useful when I am studying through a book but then bounce around other books while listening to a message. It’s very easy to see, and return to, where I was in the book I was studying through. Now the choices are Verse, Contents and Favorites. Not nearly as useful as I will have to remember to select a passage as a Favorite before going anywhere else. Please give me my Recents back. :).Version: 6.0.3

Recent update is goodThe recent update that had some UI changes has been very stable. A lot of the previous crashes and freezes now occur way less often or not at all..Version: 30.0.4

Valuable AppParticularly love having my daily readings on my phone, sync'd with my desktop. Always keeps in line with each meaning I can read wherever I happen to be..Version: 3.0.2

ImportingWish I could import my physical copies onto here without paying for it again. Amazing app, great for studies and reading.Version: 28.0.3

Outstanding ResourceThis is a phenomenal app for anyone who wants to read, understand and communicate the wonderful truths God has put into scripture. The app has tools for everyone from the novice who just wants to read the Bible in comfort right the way up through the one who wants to study commentaries to the one who wants to carry out full textual analysis of the original language to draw out authorial intent. There is a bit of a pricing curve to get around if you want to go in full beans, but it really is worth every Penny you can afford to put in with reasonable subscription costs if you want to go down that route..Version: 9.0.0

Logos Bible Software for iPhoneLogos bible software for iPhone is just great. You can do basic searches in the bible or in your entire library, each book you are reading remembers where you are up to, and the history function remembers the last few places you have been reading - great for re-finding that verse from the other day. Notes function, highlighting and sharing all work well. Keep up the good work Logos..Version: 3.4.1

Best Bible appI love this app..Version: 27.0.2

LOGOSVery good application, incredibly helpful in studying and understand scripture. Could be some more modern books in the store. I use it on IPad and the optimisation isn’t perfect, some fiddly parts. But these are small issues with an over all good app..Version: 8.5.1

BrilliantThis is the best Bible software ever. It has helped in my growth and development in God’s Word. I totally appreciate the creators of this software who have allowed the Holy Spirit to teach and guide them. God bless all of you. Shalom!! Samuel Roach.Version: 9.10.0

Desktop good, mobile lackingThe desktop app (in my case Mac) is worth persevering with. It has a steep learning curve, and is a resource hog. But it works well. It's main issue is that it try's to be too clever and gives you far more interlinked information than you want, or need. The mobile app has a major failing in that it does not synchronize reading plans with the desktop. If you can't use your iPad for reading, what good is Logos?.Version: 1.8.1

Another satisfied customerLOGOS Bible Software has proved its value for me and continues to show how versatile and extensive it is in what it is able do helping from the most basic Bible student to the scholar. I see its value in helping to understand more and more deeply the real meaning in the ancient text - written long ago, but still relevant for every age, culture and situation. Thanks LOGOS for all you have done and what you continue to do through LOGOS!.Version: 5.2.3

Love This. Am I able to have the ESV Bible?I’m Looking for The Imitation of Christ For my Laptop, I have it on my cell phone But I was trying to get it on my Laptop. Could you help me please? God bless you..Version: 28.0.4

Great Study AppI have been looking for a while for an app to help me with my Bible studies and this app has been a great app for me. I strongly recommend it to you who would need someone to help you search for keywords for your sermon or even related texts and commentary..Version: 10.1.0

Request for changeI am enjoying the new design. I’ve used the feature to show my favorite bible. It is nice not to have to look for the Bible but that I just have to click the button. I like being able to keep as many books / resources open as I want. My request for change: can you add a way to “lock” the resource into full screen mode? I want to keep the menus off the screen while I scroll up or down. Right now the menus show up and cover the viewing area. When I am reading in low light mode, I’m distracted by the sudden change of color on the screen when the menus appear. Could the menus also change color to match the low light color scheme? For example, I’ll be reading in while in bed. My background will be dark and when I accidentally bump my screen down or scroll a bit toward earlier in the book, the stark contrast of the white menu on the black reading background causes me to glance away from the text I’m reading. I’ve been trying to get used to it for three weeks and I’m not sure if I’ll be able to adjust to this. I’ve been able to adjust to the other changes and I’m enjoying it. But after three weeks of trying out the app, I decided to request the change. Thanks for listening..Version: 6.0.5

Excellent platformLove how Logos has improved their mobile apps, including iPad. Great software that is improving all the time..Version: 9.16.0

Too much functionality?I love logos! From the days when all the resources was on multiple disks! The Bible app is great, but the only thing that bugs me is if I want to highlight something and start by selecting a word (to expand to a passage) the app tries to do a lookup of the word which means you are stuck until the process is finished. It’s usually only a few seconds but if you want to highlight a few passages in different colours or emphasis it becomes irritating and tedious. I know you can do a direct highlight by dragging over but you cannot preselect your color or emphasis, it uses your last one. An always open, custom selection tray might be handy for a future development. Also, don’t keep to many resources open/synced up if you are not using them now. Even modern hardware slows down after a while of use and closes the app..Version: 8.9.0

Great contentI really love how logos brings together a tone of resources in one place. This has made my bible study times a lot more richer..Version: 6.0.5

The Best Bible AppI have 3 other bible apps on my phone. They work fine, so I didn’t use Logos for a while as the others were quick and straightforward and Logos looked a little daunting. However, some small investment of time has reaped dividends. The searching across multiple translations, also across my library (I also have the desktop version), the multiple windows that I have open simultaneously, such as commentary, different bible versions, search criteria, inter linear etc is very useful. I recommend Logos. I hardly ever use the other apps now..Version: 8.5.0

Great appThe setup up is easy to figure out and the content. Well……That’s just remarkable.Version: 29.0.2

UnequalledHaving used Logos for over 5 years, I can honestly say that it is the best bible study program for anyone who wants to dig deep into the Word. It is incredibly intuitive and powerful, in ways that no other biblical program that I’ve experienced. It costs a bit more than the competition, but it’s an investment well worth making..Version: 26.0.1

Spencer Buss’ ThoughtsLogos is the best Bible study and Sermon writing application that I’ve ever used!.Version: 27.0.1

BrilliantI am very grateful for this app! If I am away from my computer it gives me all my books to read, and is very user friendly- well done Logos.Version: 4.3.6

ExcellentI use this resource everyday day. From Bible study, word searches, daily reading and everything in between, Logos has enriched me and helped me grow in my faith..Version: 31.0.0

Logos, it is worth the Price!I purchased my first edition of Logos this year. At the start I did not like it, I even thought it was not user friendly. I would have not recommend this software due to the fact it was overwhelming. I contacted customer service with the idea of trying to get a refund, but instead I asked for help. Links were shared with me for training, and I decided I would give this Logos an honest try. It is now my go to bible study app for bible study. The mere information that can be found is incredibly easy to find. The more I use the program the more user friendly I see it to be. Each day I have grown to a deeper appreciation and love for it. My bible understanding and preaching has grown by finding this information. Please, if you partake in this program give it an honest shot, as it will change how you prepare to share God's Word. I started with the free edition and I am working my way up the ladder to the higher platforms. Today I am using Logos 10-Gold. Today I am a happy user! I would recommend this setup to anyone! They have packages for all budgets and payment plans to help get this in your hands..Version: 10.0.2

Bible SoftwareI love the word of god. Great Bible software. One of the best ..Version: 9.15.0

Professional Grade Bible Research software!Professional-grade Bible study/research software! Professional level software for Bible research, study, and heavy duty graduate or Ph.D. level Assignments where every prof is gonna want an excellent research paper from you! Of course, I’m not speaking of the Logos app you download free. The Logos starter app available for download is pretty powerful in its own right. But as soon as possible you should upgrade to the Professional Logos apps which will make short work of several major research papers. After University or seminary, Logos Bible software will help you continue to grow in the Christian faith and your relationship with God through Jesus and the Holy Spirit! Logos is fantastic and rewarding on a daily basis. Worth the extra expense and steep learning curve! academic work while attending seminary! I have been using Logos Bible Software for over 15 years and it has really made my academic/seminary work easy! Most importantly, my heavy pastoral responsibilities (preaching, teaching, prayer, counseling) run smoothly. Highly recommended!.Version: 8.12.5

Good app for serious Bible studyThis is a good app for serious Bible study. It gives access to Logos materials you have acquired. Notes are synced so are accessible on other devices. Some of the interface has a slight learning curve but nothing excessive..Version: 8.1.2

Love my Bible program!I sometimes stop and ponder if I really need the power of Logos, with all its bells and whistles, since I am just a Christian who love the Word of God and studies it each day. But I have been using the basic program for years and just can’t see going away from it. I am so pleased with the ability to customize my Bible Reading Plan; the ability for side-by-side versions of the same Scripture that I’m studying; the dictionary - for those words that stump me; and the great commentaries to help me understand. Yes, I feel it is the ‘Cadillac’ of Bible programs, and I love it! I’m an iPhone and iPad user also, and the ability to use a mobile device or my desktop PC interchangeably is just outstanding! May God continue to bless Logos with awesome programmers and other staff to continue improving an already awesome program!.Version: 9.0.0

The top in their classWell impressed with this app have used for while and is my go to for bible study and general reading and using in group bible study as well..Version: 4.4.2

Great experienceRealy everything you might need in a bible app. Needs some attention in the "bible reading plan" department. Would be nice if you could download at least one bible in the free account..Version: 0

Best compiled packageLogos bible software in indicative of the name "Word" bible software. It brings in depth accessibility, language (Hebrew, Greek) and understanding to us who are serious about studying to show ourselves approved of the word. Not knowing the original language, culture and setting, can often bring misleading and incorrect teachings, now that's a thing of the past. Revelations from the Holy Spirit can now be cemented with proper exegesis to reach the lay person or the learnt intellectual alike. Technology has given us wonderful tools and the immediate access to resources when He changes our message or speaks, is wonderful with the portable tools such as iPads and iPhones. However; let's not leave the Holy Spirit out of the Logos when we deliver, Amen Logos! I am continually recommending Logos to my students and people who are serious about their spiritual life. Those who have tried it has seen the benefits in your souls and natural lives. Logos software was become a staple of their diet. Con: If someone is not fluent and an excellent speller using the search will be a setback. Aid in spelling would be good as most word search engine does. Sales is pushed a lot, something personal could be given back on birthdays to show application for those who buy and support a lot. Apostle Dr. Williams Kingston, Jamaica.Version: 8.10.0

Cost SaverThis is the Top of all application which I have. Very good to use as a Bible study advise which saves you so much time and money rather than to try and sort each Bible and to go out and buy then. Never mind that just to be able to have them all in the palm of your hand in an instant. Highly recommend to those that love God and his word. God Bless you all, Leon Smith.Version: 5.1.1

Virtually unusableI have been with Logos since Logos 4 this app locks up so often it makes it so frustrating to use. It doesn’t help to delete the app and reinstall there’s no use downloading your books because they will freeze up the whole app freezes up so often it makes it virtually unusable. Very disappointed in the lack of technical expertise that is given to this app when other apps work just fine with books downloaded or not downloaded. I am astounded that faithlife/Logos has not invested in this app and it’s controversial use or I should say lack there of with all the thousands of dollars I’ve spent on this program you think they would put a little money from each of us into making this app more effective and more productive enough said..Version: 9.12.0

Best App For Bible StudyThis is a great free tool (there are things you can purchase within the app) right off the bat. This is the only app I’ll use studying for. Reading versions, however, I use another app for because the versions are free (YouVersion app) rather than to purchase extra. 5 stars for a great study Bible!.Version: 6.0.1

This is the plate on which I get my daily breadFunctionally this is all I need. The daily bible reading has been vastly improved, much easier to use..Version: 22.0.1

IPhone audio nonexistentGood to have audio available for iPhone 7.Version: 8.12.4

Being able to jump to other references. Very helpful.Jumping to other references gives a better understanding of thought. Job well done. Robert..Version: 9.11.1

Store can be misleadingBought a package and didn’t notice the ‘partially included’ icon for some commentaries. If I had noticed I would have probably held off on the purchase. Now I don’t have the money to but the rest of my textbooks for this semester at seminary straight away. It would be a good idea to have more verbose warnings about partially included resources in packages in the store..Version: 9.11.1

It’s fab - the Bible changes livesA great resource for the student of the Word (that’s all of us). A world of information at your fingertips. You may not be a master of languages, Prince of prose, thinker to rival the Greek geeks however if you’re willing to learn, then tap open..Version: 9.9.2

Wish mobile was as good as desktopThe app is great, I use it on my iPad and it misses so much that desktop has..Version: 22.0.1

A brilliant apps for Bible ReadersThis was been introduced to me by my husabnd and Im glad he did. I like the different version of bibles to read. And you can share it as well to your social media..Version: 9.6.0

The Best Transitions of Multiple TranslationsWishing well, The title says it all… I like the tabs inside the app…I love more tabs which means more cross referencing quickness! Wanting your best, WhiteStone Promise.Version: 22.0.1

Bringing it all togetherAre you looking for a rich compendium of Bible resources in one amazing bundle? Then look no further than Logos. You can build an extensive library of Bibles, Bible resources, Christian books and videos priced at different entry points. Once subscribed you have immediate access via PC, laptop or mobile device. The underlying Logos platform is regularly updated to improve its performance. An unparalleled resource for Christian leaders and disciples..Version: 9.13.1

Great appAs far as Bible apps go, you won't find one that offers the library or desktop companion of Logos. The iPad app just needs highlighting, notes and the ability to sync these with the desktop version to be perfect..Version: 0

Great advanced featuresI really like the tabs in this app, it means I can start reading something new or look up a word without losing my place. Perhaps it would be nice to be able to label them. There’s a few important things that mean I won’t be using this app however; When I select a single word the app freezes while it tries to look up a dictionary definition. Most of the time, that’s not even what I’m trying to do. This lasts up to 30 seconds. I also can’t select a group of words, to share with friends, single word selection is all that’s available. Search is a bit slow; I looked up the word ‘condemn’, in the esv Bible, search took around 25 seconds. The results were decent however. There seems to be no Greek/Hebrew concordance, i like to be able to see all occurrences of a word so I can understand it better..Version: 8.9.0

Resourceful when you’re seeking GodI’ve had this app for a long time. A previous pastor showed me and he used it in Bible Studies. Over the years, events have taken place in my life and I wasn’t sure what to do! I would write down my concerns or what’s troubling my mind with a list of similar words. Then I’d do a word search using the Bible Study tool and glance through all the Hebrew and Greek words translated into the English word. Then I’d skim the verses to find a Bible story or situation similar to mine. Then I’d search additional resources (dictionaries, topical bibles, specialized topical books, etc) for additional insight. Saved me WEEKS & MONTHS of research. I had a better understanding of what God would do, which gave me his peace, improved my faith, and I decided with confidence! Thank you Logos!.Version: 8.12.7

Missing a MAJOR trickThis app would be one of the best apps out there if you could at least search the BIBLE with or without an internet connection. Ridiculous that you have to wait until you get a connection to use the app for its primary purpose...READING THE BIBLE. What would the reformers say?.Version: 6.0.1

The BestIn the beginning was the LOGOS, and the LOGOS was with God, and the LOGOS was God. (John 1:1 NIV) LOGOS is an excellent Bible app with tons of resources. It’s like having a seminary in your phone..Version: 28.0.2

Nice, hopefully see some new features.Good overall, a download all button would be nice because it is slow to select 330 books, and tbh I don't mind it using most of the space on my iPad..Version: 2.0.1

Tabs Tabs everywhere, but not on the same screenWhile I love Logos and the awesome capabilities it has, I think the IPad app version should mirror the way the desktop/web version works. Or have it’s own app, instead of there just being a generic mobile. There is more space for it to look like the desktop/web version, than the IPhone mobile app version. On days I can’t lug my laptop around, to be able to open the app on my IPad and not have to toggle between windows would honest be amazing. I’m wondering if that is going to be in the works at some point. I don’t mind using the web version, but to have it in the app....especially with the new logos 9, I was expecting some major update with the app. Other than this, keep up the good work, and thank you for bringing this wide knowledge database to our fingertips..Version: 9.0.1

5 starsLogos is perhaps the best bible software available. Their mobile app is exceptionally user friendly, I have been blessed by it immensely and it has helped me in study more than once..Version: 4.4.2

Most useful Bible app I ownHow great to have all these Bible resources to carry with us everywhere we go.Version: 9.15.0

Easy and helpfulGreat software, easy to navigate, incredibly reliable, and a mine of information!.Version: 4.6.1

Logos on the move! But some glitches.Having used Logos for some years on my PC, this app is great for use on the move with my iPad and when I don't want to be stuck in my study. I use it every day for my devotions. I have taken a star off as I find the newer interface a bit glitchy in contrast to what I used a few years ago. Eg When I try to highlight text it sometimes doesn’t allow me to do it unless I shift from landscape to portrait and back again or vice versa, or if I clear the programme from memory and reload. It seems to struggle with several books open at the same time. Apart from the glitches this is a great app and I wouldn’t like to be without it..Version: 9.3.0

InspiringVery easy to use, extremely informative, with lots of excellent options. Cannot understand why it took so long to find this invaluable resource..Version: 6.5.1

AmazingThis new update is so good!! Amazing for Bible studying and note taking. The only thing is maybe if there was an option to download notes so I could print them..Version: 10.0.1

Ideal for studyIf you are building a library then this is a fantastic tool. The books are expensive so you have to wait for them to go on sale (they have good deals often enough). So glad the computer functionality is coming bit by bit to iPad and iPhone..Version: 8.0.6

Really excellent appThis is a great app. I use it all the time on my iPhone Marking out my highlights and markings on scriptures get synced to my iPad! Makes studying so much easier. Love it! After the new update its even heaps better now!.Version: 9.14.1

Logos is great!I have been using logos for 3 years now and it has served me well as a bible study and christian reading platform. I highly recommend trying it out for yourself!.Version: 26.0.0

LogosVery easy to use. I don't need to use a printed copy of the bible as often. Hyper-links makes looking up references easy. An improvement could be to hyperlink to Logos from something that I could be reading at the time..Version: 1.8.3

Good tho room for improvementLogos is an excellent Bible app. The range of resources is amazing and I’ve certainly not begun to explore all the functionality. However the resources are very overpriced, often two to four times the price of Kindle (e.g. at time of writing the Matthew NICNT commentary is 3x the price on Logos than kindle!!). Other Bible study apps are more competitive, you definitely pay a premium for the other features. I’d only recommend buying stuff if there’s a good sale on..Version: 9.12.0

Excellent appI’ve been benefiting a lot from this app, having a quick access to original Greek or Hebrew is just amazing..Version: 26.0.1

BrilliantNothing short of fantastic. Absolutely essential for the Christian who abides in study day in day out. Very flexible app and easy to use once you get a rhythm of how you like to work in it. God bless you to the creators!.Version: 6.1.1

Great step in the right direction!I was glad to see the overall change in the layout of the app. The tab idea is genius and should make mobile bible study much more efficient. As other users have reiterated, more care to the note function would be nice as well as eventual inclusion of a sermon editing feature. I preach directly from my iPad, and upon occasion as I am prompted by the crowd, the Holy Spirit or something I forgot to include, it would be nice to on the spot edit my sermon content. Lastly, if personal books could ever be synced to my iPad that would make this app head and shoulders above any others of its kind. Also, scriptures within a sermon do not seem to hyperlink when accessed from a mobile device, only when viewed on a computer. Overall glad to see the update, keep up the good work!.Version: 6.0.5

Not working on iPad 6th genFrom the last week the app is not working on the iPad 6th generation. It shows a pop up message saying that it cannot download a resource and is frozen. Then, it is closed by itself few minutes later..Version: 10.0.3

Love it!Fantastic bible study app. Very easy to navigate for those used to logos. Would be even better if it had a more customisable copying function - allowing copying of bible text only or at least removing footnotes/annotations when copying to other program's. Other than that, love it and use it HEAPS!!.Version: 3.3.2

AmazingAmazing software But would be great to have one basic feature that should be fundamental I want to see the scripture book name and probably chapter as well and maybe the version while I am reading the bible not when I touch the screen. That information just needs to be there in the same way as when I read my physical bible.Version: 6.1.1

Excelente herramientaGracias a DiOS y gracias pour este recurso importante.Version: 9.11.0

I'm happyYou know I think people have reached a point in time where we are quick to find fault and slow to praise (maybe we haven't reached it but it's been there since the fall) but I think this is amazing value for money. There may be bugs, there may be areas needing improvement but what a great tool in every respect and at my finger tips. If there are bugs their working to fix them & then update my phone so I can take advantage of their hard work - awesome guys thank you very much.Version: 2.1.4

FANTASTIC UPDATE, WOW!!!Now we are talking! The latest update has brought a laptop experience to my iPad Pro. It’s stunningly designed, and the update has been well thought-through. I’ve always had to go back to the desktop to write my sermons and presentations, but not anymore. The multiple windows allow for cross-references in a more convenient way enabling me to choose the scriptures, notes, or commentary that is more appropriate to back up my discussion. This is a great release that I’ve been looking forward to. It makes studying the bible fun. Well done, team. 🙏🏾.Version: 10.0.1

God blessVery good.Version: 9.8.2

LogosGreat app for bible and Logos book reading. However, the interface isn't user friendly. The home button bears no relevance to myself who lives outside of the US and it isn't that easy to find books you've downloaded..Version: 2.0.2

An abundance of great resourcesI still love to read hard copies of the books I own, but for sermon and Bible study prep, there is very little that could compare to the depth and breadth of Logos. And then there are the features that aid my devotion times. A wonderful resource.Version: 8.12.7

Great Tool for StudyThis is truly one of the best tools/apps that I have ever used. There are many features and plans to help develop our understanding of our God which can be honed to meet our specific needs as we grow. I upgraded from Logos 9 to 10 and have zero regrets and even upgraded my package so that I could scan my physical library into my digital database. This is especially helpful with resources that are given to me from family and friends that I may not have had the funds to get otherwise. While it deserves a better rating than the 4 stars that I am giving, it isn’t perfect. There are a few features I wish it had that I have seen in other apps and study tools. Features that I may not have thought about had I not used other tools in my quest for knowledge and understanding..Version: 28.0.3

There when you areLiving in a time when time itself is sometimes hard to come by, it’s nice to have an app like Logos to turn to. Even if you only have a few minutes you can read something uplifting and encouraging from God’s word. A few minutes is better than nothing. I’m reading Systematic Theology. Ya...I know. Pretty deep. But, I taking it in small doses. With Logos I can read a little at a time and the app saves my place, so when I return I can pick up right where I left off. You really have the option to do whatever you want to do. You can either do a simple devotional and Bible study, or you can do an in depth study. This app has incredible resources cross-referencing ability at your fingertips. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoys studying God‘s word....Version: 8.1.2

Logos worksI enjoy and love the Logos app as it can be taken on my ipad where I go. Eg teaching, to church, on a trip, on holiday, with friends. I use my computer for big work but anywhere else I use my iPad It is a must for people in professional ministry like me. It is better than anything else on the market. Use the best (Logos) and you do not need the hundred. Would like to see the interlinear on the app (maybe it is there I just can not find it).Version: 1.7.2

Excellent resourceI have only just discovered this resource and have already found it to be a really helpful treasury of Biblical Studies..Version: 8.12.4

Hands down the best, Bob and Software there isThis Bible Software has taken me from an understanding of my bible a mile wide and inch deep to an understanding an inch wide and smile deep. Thank you Logos.Version: 27.0.1

Commentary and word study smorgasbordI Pastor a Church in country Australia. Our library has very limited theological resources. With Logos I have access to a large library which keeps widely read and informed so that my content creation for teaching and preaching is well informed. Exegesis is easy with access to tools I never would have been able to use which gives me confidence when I stand in the pulpit and guide people with concise and researched interpretation..Version: 8.1.2

Mr Mel25A great resource for every believers or even just a reader seeking to gain a deeper more powerful knowledge of the word with logos you have all the resource at your fingertips.Version: 31.0.0

Improving but not very usefulThe app is improving but it is my least favorite bible app. Two main issues are a lack of a coherent design philosophy that makes the interface inconsistent and confusing and sloppy implementation of the features that do exist. I tend to buy duplicate copies of Logos resources in olivetree if I want to use them on mobile. If bandwidth is available the web version of Logos is far superior no crashes much more functionality. Latest annoyances other than crashing are the inability to access tablee of contents or index in csb bible notes with out going to gen 1:1 or rev and manually scrolling. Inability to switch book to book in commentary sets. Olive tree does all these so I have to purchase more duplicate resources. By the way I would have posted these comments as feedback elsewhere if you had a method of providing feedback (your forums appear to not be actively monitored)..Version: 6.0.7

Must Have AppGreat app! I love the freedom it gives having everything synced across devices so no matter where I am I have what I need with me. It's easy to use and would be lost without it now..Version: 3.0.2

My Go ToAlways my go to for scripture. Also when writing a sermon it has great options in helping with the topic and the peer reviewed sources are just fantastic..Version: 9.15.0

LaymenPraise God for your innovative, and ease of use mindset. Would love to see highlighting abilities soon, and the possibility of a more permanent navigation bar option, option (as other mobile bible programs conveniently have) over the present sensitive pop up option. Thanks, thanks, tkanks..Version: 1.7.1

HelpfulThis app helps me so much in sermon preparation and bible study. There are a lot of books and articles in one app. Praise the Lord! Thank you, Logos!.Version: 26.0.1

Rev Brian MoodyI have been using Logos since before it was called Logos. For me there has been no better simple to use but comprehensive software for studying the revelation that our Maker has given to humankind in his word. I thank the Lord for the creator’s of this software and all who are involved in its ongoing production. It has helped me enormously in my spiritual life for some decades now. Long may that continue..Version: 23.0.2

Helpful but wait long to openThaks.Version: 6.5.1

Logos Logou Logw LogonLogos is a great library system. It benefits from being cross-platform and intuitive, with the same form and function on devices of the same size. So when using my iPhone, I can access all the books in my library which I use on my Mac laptop and my Windows PC. This is genuinely wonderful. Fantastic! And each app on different devices costs no extra, because they don’t charge for the software, only the books. Once started, the software is smooth on even the iPhone 8. No stuttering. It is easy to search and also quick at it. It has many ways of doing similar functions like turning pages, scrolling to keep all types of users happy. A nice interface. iPhone 10 is great. iPhone 11 starts showing less improvement because the software works so well. If you have an iPhone 6 it’s laggy on everything, so don’t blame Logos. So, having said all that, it should be a 5/5 score easily! So why did I give it 4/5? Memory! The iPhone app can take a while to start. I imagine it has a large memory footprint either because it’s a big program or because of my book collection. Either way, this means there are times I will load another Bible app (OliveTree) if I am in a hurry. 1. I highly recommend Logos Bible Software to those looking to start a theological library. 2. I highly recommend Logos wrestle with their iPhone memory issue or at least work out how to start the app faster..Version: 9.11.1

Outstanding resource.Thank you.Version: 9.15.0

Well doneGreat app. Perfect features and interface..Version: 23.0.2

Logos App for iPadThis is a great program and the app delivers everything one needs when on the road and needing to read for relaxation or do some serious study. A great way not to carry around bundles of books, and you can even import your own essays, sermons and writings into logos for future reference. Love it!.Version: 5.1.4

So incredible mind blownThis app is amazing and worth it!!.Version: 23.0.1

Look no further than Logos Bible SoftwareThe Logos App is free but buy the real deal... With it's easy too use platforms, immensely powerful/state of the art search ability, integration with presentation software, automated slide generator and preaching mode- Logos is a one stop shop. My Microsoft Word app is so lonely now, and I'm not apologizing to the Gates, instead I'm thanking the Pritchetts. I use an Apple iPad with the "Pages App" to write my notes (which translates it to text) then airdrop it to my MacBook, copy past it into Sermon Manager, adjust some things, and Viola! Seriously, it's that easy and saves a ton of time so you can go back to doing things like listening to people fight over what color the walls will be painted, whether to have nasty prepackaged communion cups or stale square tiny biscuits with tainted grape juice, or you know... things like that. ;) Just get Logos (at least Silver or Gold), you won't regret it, promise!.Version: 9.4.0

Best Bible App by a country mileThis is next level, by pretty much every meaningful indicator this app is far and away the best bible reading app I have come across, it has every feature that the other apps have but with better quality in addition to more useful features, it’s now the only one I use because it does everything in one place that I used to need 2 or 3 apps for, 5 stars from me.Version: 9.3.0

Steve TraversOutstanding App!.Version: 30.0.4

Best Bible AppThis app is incredible. Able to switch between ESV and other versions with ease for in depth study!.Version: 28.0.1

Incredibly well thoughtLogos is a fee-based product, offering a ton of very up-to-date resources (plus all of the classical resources one gets with free products). In terms of overall cost, Logos is fairly expensive, but worth the cost. In terms of the app, very nicely done. One swipes to the left or right to view different resources, or clicks an internal link, etc. It is very easy to navigate, which is important considering how many resources one might use in a given study. I would like the app to have the same functionality as the desktop version (Sermon Editor, for example, is view-mode only in the app), but I imagine that the app would be even larger still. As I use my iPad while writing my sermon by hand or typewriter, and then on the desktop, I don’t find this an issue. Logos is very impressive overall. The app is very well thought..Version: 6.2.2

LogosI find things here. Especially when I look for them.Version: 8.12.4

NEW APP TILE LOOKS DAFTI LOVE LOGOS - but why change the app tile with the latest update when there really was no need?! It was clear, clean, crisp and recognisable. Now it looks like a weird flag. Just an aesthetic issue that takes nothing from an amazing Bible Study tool!.Version: 9.0.0

Love Logos Bible software.Though pricey these days, Logos is a fantastic bible program. Well worth the investment..Version: 23.0.1

Great AppReally enjoy this app for Bible Study preparation and notes. There are seemingly endless resources that can be purchased and utilized in this app, though that can quickly become cost prohibitive. There are also many free resources available. I think the user interface could improve in terms of note taking capabilities. I have used Notability every day for the past 3 years, which has spoiled me a bit, and I have used OneNote on and off over that time, and comparatively, the note taking features are lacking, but still usable. I will say that there is definitely a learning curve when you first start using this app as everything is not overly intuitive. But overall, I am pleased with the app. I hope that it will continue to be improved on a regular basis..Version: 9.5.1

Very goodIf you are a student are not. This App will change your life. Well done.Version: 26.0.1

Incredible resourceLife changing App, due to now being able to have every bible and resource in one place of reference. Ease of use with loads of features to make Theology exciting..Version: 31.0.0

YesThird bible app i try, very good.Version: 31.0.0

A Powerful yet interactive Tool for God’s PeopleI have been using Logos and it’s previous versions for over 30 years and it’s assistance has been incalculable in my ministry for the Lord Jesus I heartily recommend this program for anyone seeking to be a serious student of God’s Word.Version: 9.8.2

FantasticThis is a great app! Easy to use. One recommendation would be to have a feature that could store all resources to your ipad simply and quickly. Awesome app.Version: 1.8.2

Logos appThis is a brilliant resource to have. Multiple bible versions, many free materials, search facility, study, books. Purchase others, create your own library. In-built devotional(s). Cannot recommend it enough. The fact it’s all on my phone and easily/readily accessible makes it a favourite app..Version: 9.7.1

Very useful productHave been using this for years but have been particularly impressed with the new windowing approach introduced in 2017. It is now much easier to read sequentially through a text. It is also very good being able to have multiple windows active with different resources, each easily accessible. Great app..Version: 6.0.5

Top of the worldThis is such an amazing software and never seen like a tool to study the Bible. I would recommend to anyone and myself improving on using different features in focus of upgrading to next level. Thanks for logos team..Version: 9.5.1

Steve TVery happy due to the fact that you have everything at your disposal.Version: 8.3.0

Great value and breadthThe great thing about this app is that you don't have to buy resources twice, once for your iPhone and once for your desktop. So I have access to over thousands of resources locally and in the cloud. The offline mode means you can read and search even if there is no WiFi or 3G signal. There have been major improvements in recent versions. I used to use Olivetree unless only Logos had a resource I needed. Now Logos is better than Olivetree in almost every area..Version: 8.0.1

Bible StudyThis is an excellent program. I would say this is the best out there for an app on bible study. Only thing is that it needs to be able to look at the words that the bible was translate from the Greek Hebrew and Araramic..Version: 5.17.1

Studing with Logos is addictiveLove love love Logos software. Studying God’s Word is always thrilling. With intuitive Logos my investigations into “anything and everything” are satisfied. Such blessings!.Version: 6.1.1

LOGOS BIBLE SOFTWAREI have this app in daily use: I use it extensively to read books from my Logos Library - it's much more convenient to read a book sitting in an arm chair in the presence of my family rather than stuck in my study reading from of my desktop! I also use the app as a mobile source of different Bible versions with ready access to basic texts such as the ESV Study Bible, Matthew Henry, a Systematic Theology and a Bible Dictionary. It is now, after just a few months of use, to imagine life without it! Thank you Logos team for this app. I have yet to master searches in the Library - I often get what I'm not looking for....but I expect that skill will be honed in time! Later..... Still finding LOGOS great to have and use on my iPad. So convenient to have my Bible translations and commentaries for the Bible book I am studying to hand whenever needed! November 2018, after update. What has happened to LOGOS on my iPad? Highlighting is now quite impractical. Text selection is a nightmare. The pick lists have lost their clarity and ease of use. Writing a note now demands I use the iPad in portrait orientation whereas I always work in landscape. Not good. Please give us back the old functionality..... and the desktop version is taking some getting used to also after upgrading to version 8. Not at all happy. What customer research was carried out first before embarking on this wholesale change?.Version: 8.0.2

Great Companion App to Logos on desktopI use this app a lot, it’s very helpful to have access to your logos library on the go, but I came here because I just found and am blown away by the Reference Scanner function. SO HELPFUL to be able to scan a list of Bible references and have them appear in full as a list. Brilliant..Version: 29.0.2

Great software, would love to see more features on mobile.I’m absolutely loving the software, it brilliant to help unlock scripture, make notes and a great tool for preparing sermons. However I was disappointed to find that you can’t edit sermons in mobile devices. This would be really useful as I’m often on the move. I’m hoping this will be developed soon..Version: 8.0.8

Five star appWonderful app to enable study, whether it be a quick dip into a bible passage or more in-depth study. There so much one could say about this app truly. I can’t recommend highly enough. I’m so blessed with it.Version: 23.0.1

From a Church MsmbedI have been studying the Word for the past 5 years of being a being a believer and the method I use, verse by verse with cross references, a dictionary, and concordance, everything I am looking for comes with this app. I purchased the NASB Bible because that is the one I use, and I purchased a commentary on 1st Corinthians. I had trouble finding different books on the apple App but when I called the excellent customer service I was able to go to the website and purchase what I needed and it appeared in my library immediately. This app is am Incredible tool and I look forward to digging “deep” for my weekly Bible Study group. I am also looking at the Bronze package for logos 9 which costs less that my current TV service(no eternal value) so I should be able to swing it when the time comes..Version: 9.0.1

Just GreatWith logos giving away free books per month, constant deals and supplying a great, robust app. This is just essential. Works so well on iPad and streamlines the working process for me. Would recommend to anyone..Version: 8.3.0

Excellent upgradeLove the most recent update my daily study and reading is totally portable. I can use every free moment of the day..Version: 6.0.5

Impressive assemblageLogos is a tremendous help in my Bible research, and makes multi-book navigation and comparisons quite simple. The resources are amazing for content and the reading plans are quite creative and useful.Version: 23.0.1

Working wellI have a full logos pack on my PC but I use this app all the time, it works very well and is reliable. I like its quick navigation. I still get confused working with multiple resources, as there is no neat way of juggling resources, eg tabs. You have to go into the library all the time..Version: 4.3.4

Please improve text comparison featureGreat app in concert with the desktop version but the mobile text comparison feature needs improvement. This is one of the most common things I do and would love to do all my studies within the logos ecosystem for sake of simplicity but this feature just doesn’t work well. I often find myself using the YouVersion app instead as it just seems to work the smoothest for text comparison than any other app I’ve used. Please let us choose which Bibles we want to see and not see in the tool as well as the order we see them. Also give the option to get rid of the those red bubbles which often make things confusing and the “% difference” indicator. Thank you for listening!.Version: 9.12.0

Update good but needs fixesI use the logos iPhone app a lot. The new tabs are great, love them! But the latest update has for some reason obscured the OS clock at the top of screen (very inconvenient not to be able to see the time while in-app) and removed the in-app screen-lock functionality. Please fix the clock and bring back the screen lock, it’s very helpful to be able to lock logos for reading while leaving my other apps unlocked for videos etc. Thanks!.Version: 6.0.7

Improved efficiency in my studies!I’ve now tried a few different tools and combinations of tools to enhance my study experience and the Logos iOS iPhone and iPad app paired with the web and desktop version really has improved my efficiency in my studies. The user experience is very well designed and intuitive making it a pleasant and non distracting experience while studying. Additionally the ability to note scripture and automatically hyperlink directly to verses you reference is a massive time saver and creates a seamless experience when reviewing past notes in passing as you read through scripture. There are some opportunities for improvement related to UI viewing options I would like to see in the future such as scaling of the UI in the iPad version which would improve visibility when using more complicated layouts. Overall this app is a fantastic step in enabling better studying and reference for notes and additional resources all in one place..Version: 25.0.2

Logos is the best Bible software program on the marketThis software is for those who are serious about learning and growing in the Christian faith..Version: 26.0.1

Platinum productI invested heavily a few months ago in the Logos Platinum package. I can access the thousands of books through my Windows Notebook, my iMac and now my iPad through this excellent app. I have been a pastor for 42 years and this is the best stuff I have ever accessed. This app demonstrates the commitment of the Logos team to excellence in development and a servant heartedness in the kingdom. Dec 2017. The latest update from the Logos team has lifted the app into the realm of serious study. The ability to have side by side resources of one’s choice and make them split screen as well aids study immensely. You can download resources as well as use them via streaming. Now, if they can add the ability to edit documents it will be a dream come true for me..Version: 6.0.3

OpinionComprehensive full of goodies and details that are helpful.Version: 6.5.1

Hopefully helpful critiquesThis is really a wonderful app that has helped me organize my Bible studying and even do some inductive Bible study. I have one critique though, well two, and I think they could really make the app better. It has to do with the notes feature. I love that you can make notebooks and see all of the highlights and notes you have done in one place. I wish though that it would display the text that was highlighted their in the notes section, or at least the reference. This would really make the notes feature more useful, to go back and see what was highlighted quickly and find what you were looking for or catch themes or similarities easier. Right now you have to open the note and click them then it opens the chapter were it is, this is nice but cumbersome if you are looking for something or trying to study a theme with this tool. Another suggestion, I wish there was a preference/option to make certain highlighters default into a created notebook. For example, a place to make everything in pink highlighter pin could automatically go into a notebook called resurrection. This would really aid in topical study. Just a few hopefully helpful suggestions, thank you.Version: 9.1.1

Keeps getting better, but layouts don’t syncThis recent logos update continue to make the iPad app wonderful. I was excited about logos 9 and the sermon builder and preaching mode, yet it’s downside was unable to edit sermons on the iPad app. BUT no more! Being able to edit sermons on the iOS apps is game changing as I can make last minute tweaks without my computer. Two things I would like to see though 1. In the sermon builder a way to hot key the different text formats for continuous typing and not having to drag the mouse down the menu. As well as the ability to create custom font format for your presentation style. 2. I would enjoy seeing a layout I made on my iOS be accessible on my Mac and vice versa. Currently my iOS layouts and Mac layouts are separate and will not sync. If this is user error, please help, but I don’t see any option to sync layouts..Version: 9.4.0

God speak to meAs I aspect God to speak to me every morning, I thank you for the new Words every day, kindness, may God richly bless you and your family, Amen, Thank you..Version: 26.0.1

Massive potential but lackingLogos is a great app, but as far as mobile goes, I believe it’s only scratching the surface of what it could be. They have claimed that devices like the iPad are ‘an order of magnitude’ different from laptops for example and I think this incorrect presupposition keeps them from moving this application forward in a meaningful way. Moreover there are really simple things I should be able to do that I still can’t do, such as make notes with my Apple Pencil, I can highlight but it’s difficult to do. I hope they will realise that the latest and upcoming devices are just as powerful as laptops and as such give me the power on mobile as I’d have on desktop..Version: 8.0.6

FantasticGreat tool I was a missionary Bible student getting free book each month help me further my study’s and helped me grow.Version: 9.15.0

Useful appI’m really enjoying this app, because there are so many options to expand your knowledge on many subjects surrounding God’s word. The word is laid out wonderfully, with many options to choose from format wise..Version: 9.11.1

Library in a pocketI am all in with Logos. My first Bible software was WordSearch but when I moved to Mac, I couldn't use it anymore. Logos 6 was when I made the leap and there have been no regrets. The interface is amazing, clean, and easy. The expansion options are good value and the customer support is superb. There is way more power in Logos 9 than most can use. As a Bible student and regular preacher, I love how easy it is to setup layouts and include bibliography, clippings, and notes. That makes a research paper so much simpler to keep track of resources used. Create a layout card on the homepage and picking up where a study ended is as easy as a click of the mouse. I'm not sure what Logos can add to this software but every update seems to add more features. Whatever you need from Bible software, Logos will deliver and more besides..Version: 9.7.0

Simply to best tool to study God’s Word! While there is no wrong tool to assist us in studying God’s Word, there is a best tool. This is it. While some of its powerful abilities will take some effort to maximize, if you are motivated the support, tutorials, and online community are so eager to help you. One of my favorite features is the ability to mark up texts of both bibles and books and periodicals with an endless array of colors, styles, etc. Couple that with an endless note taking app with simple formatting features that allow you to create notebooks, tag, keyword and export to Word for integration into lesson plans, book projects and more, and it is the single best tool I know of. Download and begin using Logos today. You won’t regret it..Version: 31.0.2

Excellent features and mobilityI just love this app, because it's a convenient way of having a mobile theological library that's easy to interrogate and has many powerful features. Why is the final star missing? Well, some obvious things are not as immediately possible as they might be. For example, quickly moving between titles should be easy to do. However it seems to me that the team at Logos are continually improving things. The final star will, I'm sure, be but a fresh release or two away!.Version: 3.0.3

Remarkable work! This is a great tool for bible study. I really look forward each time I study the bible. This app is a good companion when studying the Word. This app is truly a blessing! Highly recommended!.Version: 3.4.0

Still crashingUpdate 2: Below is a review I wrote a year ago. The app is still crashing... This app keeps crashing in library mode when searching for resources. So a star down for me. Update 1: It seems one has to keep on reviewing this app. So this is an addition to the review below. Some of the important desktop features are still lacking in the mobile version. The sermon guide is completely missing. This is the best bible app for those who want to study and dig deep into the Bible. I actually like that you don't have to download all your books. They also throw in some online resources. I use this every day for Bible reading and study..Version: 8.6.0

Love itIt would seem that I have been waiting for this app all my life, and as soon as I heard about it I had to download. There is so much information and tons of resorces that are both free and paid for. I have only recently taken a real interest in furthering my bible studies and the Logos Bible Study app is making it so enjoyable. Highly recommend on both Mac and iPad.Version: 9.12.0

LOGOSI have had and used Logos for over 25 years, I use it for studying the Bible, and reading the morning and evening devotional, if I want to check a word, or a phrase, I can look up the concordances to quickly find the correct word or phases. The programme is the quickest and most accurate Bible programme that I have found during the time I have been using computer programmes to broaden my knowledge, I happily can recommend this programme to every person needing scholarly assistance, and any person wanting to expand their knowledge of their beliefs or trying to answer a workmate who has no, or limited, knowledge who asks a tricky question..Version: 6.4.0

Great Tool!Well put together resource..Version: 28.0.2

Great Bible ProgramThis is a very good Bible program for the iPad. Logos is miles beyond anything else out there on the market. It allows you to split the screen, using several Bible translations at once, including Greek and Hebrew. I can import books from my Logos account to the iPad memory and save them there for off line work. I do wish the HomePage gave more options, sort of like the HomePage of the full program, but what you have here is great. The free program is well worth downloading. I do like the fact that I can take my Logos and go mobile more than with a laptop. Oh yes, and my textual notes come through, and I can write more, showing up in any version I use. That is a huge benefit over other programs. Get it! Highly recommended!.Version: 8.8.0

GreatThe ui layout and functionality has a slightly steep learning curve. Ultimately tho this app does what I want it to with no problems and for free. I recommend..Version: 1.8.3

In-depth study of the WordThere is no better way that I know of to study the word of God in depth then the thorough way Logos offers..Version: 9.13.2

A great companion for the student of God’s WordThis is a marvellous resource for those who like me love God and enjoy His Word. Although I do not always use every reference available, because I want the Holy Spirit to speak through His Words, I have used Murray Mcshane’s through the bible in a year and the other search capabilities extensively. I feel the cost to be relatively high but in the round, worth it. I would fully recommend this means of study for the serious student and the church leader..Version: 6.4.0

Very helpful, not quite there yetThe logos app is a fantastic tool for bible study on the go, especially if you already own a logos base package. It's easy to figure out, logically designed and intuitive, a very intelligent piece of software. There are still a few refinements necessary though as it seems to close unexpectedly every now and again. Also occasionally jumps to the wrong book or wrong part of a book. Also the ability to write notes tagged to resources would be a big bonus. Otherwise very pleasant to work with! Thanks to the team at Logos for all the hard work..Version: 1.7.1

Growing in Grace & Knowledge of GodI have been putting off writing this review because when I am studying I get so engulfed in the Word and resources of Logos, that I didn’t want to stop studying! Today, since I haven’t started studying yet😀! 😂, I do want to share with anyone who is serious about studying the Bible,& learning about the God of the Bible, I highly recommend this amazing tool! It has helped in my personal growth, it has helped me come to know my Savior in a deeper more intimate way. I am learning the ♥️ of God as I study. I know this is a long review; I guess I waited too long to share😇. Because of Logos, I have built an online Bible study group, that encourages others to join me as we dig deeper into the Word of God! The depth of resources available in this tool is unimaginable! My study group said” feel lime I am in Seminary! “ I 💕 Love Logos, I Love it on my phone. I wish I had found it sooner! Get it today and FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS TO GROW IN THE GRACE(that we’ve been given while procrastinating about being serious about Jesus!) and KNOWLEDGE of our LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST. ”But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.“ ‭‭2 Peter‬ ‭3‬:‭18‬ ‭.Version: 31.0.1

Top notchPerfect for studying. Bible open with notes and an extra resource and swipe left or right between them with ease. Plenty of tools at disposal also..Version: 9.12.0

KenThe new version of Logos 10 is absolutely amazing. Thank you very much to all at Logos and developers for making this product such a great product and especially for getting deeper into God’s Word. Brilliant..Version: 10.0.0

Love this appI have been using this for a couple of months, and find it very easy to navigate. I love the way the app is designed, so you can open more than one book of the Bible at a time. Recommend for sure..Version: 29.0.2

BrilliantWonderful app that has everything you need to study the Bible, I don’t think I have ever found a better app than this,.Version: 30.0.4

Logos & MacI recently bought an iPad and am running Logos on it as well as on my MacBook Pro & iPhone. The interface and sync functionality is superb! I recommend it to all my friends. Thank you Logos!.Version: 1.7.4

Logos 7This is so good..! being able to utilise and use it to build and encourage and share God’s word, May God continue to change me/us to Grow in Grace and knowledge of our Lord and saviour Jesus Christ and so live to glorify his name in his church..Version: 6.4.0

Prayer like breathProfound and deep is the description that comes to mind. I wake with Abide and my day is set, I rest with Abide and my sleep is blessed. I thank God for the Abide team after every morning prayer. Thank you and God bless you..Version: 8.3.0

No Need For Another BookcaseI have never looked back since buying Logos, it's an asset in ministry and a great time saver in preparation of my work. I can take my books with me on my iPad. Thank you Logos for your products and support..Version: 6.0.5

ReverendIt is a superb program. Preparing sermons is just so much easier. The feature I like best is that everything is integrated..Version: 8.12.5

Logos is great, but the app is limitedI’ve used the desktop version of Logos for years. It’s feature rich and wonderful. This app, if I didn’t have the prior experience of the desktop version, is also good. But knowing what Logos is capable of, I find the iPad app very limited: limited Facebook, limited resources, no offline search, no pronunciation, limited “info” window, limited contextual (“right click”) menu, limited Bible word study, no psalm explorer, etc. Why is this the case when more and more people are using tablets as their main computer? I can still use Logos to read, but if I need to do a study, I’ll need to pull out my laptop (which I otherwise no longer use) for the desktop version. Faithlife, please update the iOS version of Logos to include more of the features that make Logos so helpful..Version: 9.10.0

Great App for Growing in Knowledge of the LordBefore downloading Logos, I was using the youversion Bible app. However, the update to include a daily devotional with click-through stories and videos was a needless distraction from God’s Word, and made me all too aware that the app was supporting and promoting, at best, a low interpretation of Scripture. Logos, on the other hand, works like a digital library. There is no pushing of any particular teacher. I appreciate the resources and tools for Bible study such as concordances, maps, dictionaries to help understand translations, and commentaries from Biblical teachers. I also like that every highlight color is able to be labeled. My favorite way to study the Bible is still without my phone. I like to flip through pages and feel the Bible at my fingertips, but this app is helpful to have as a supplement to my usual system of study. Recommended for serious students of the Bible! No gimmicks or feel-good fluff, just a library of materials to assist you in studying..Version: 9.6.3

A gift! What a privilege to study The Word in such depth.. for free! That’s how it should be - the Word available for all. Not just those with money and theology titles. Thank you developers and investors!.Version: 22.0.1

Brings wrong Bible verse/sEnjoying Logos. The only issue is with the NLT because that is my favourite version and I use it every day but starting 16th September 2021 it didn't work properly. When I open a Bible verse, it brings up a different Bible verse. I updated it, reboot and start the phone again, the same is happening so please check this out. Thanks.Version: 31.0.0

RatingI can access so many things in this app and it’s just so great overall. I sincerely thank whoever made this..Version: 22.0.1

IndespensibleThis app is like having a well- stocked library at your fingertips. You can start large or small and continue to add the resources that will help your study. It’s been a blessing using it..Version: 31.0.0

An honest assessment!!Logos is a genius application/ forum. It’s a “one stop shop”! I love the fact that it has lots of literary options to choose from. Logos has an application that can be shared with friends from church, work, school, or even a online bible study group that was put together on social media! This app has tools that I’ve found to be extremely useful. This app makes studying and even navigating through references easier, especially when I’m preaching. It allows me to flow through the subject matter seamlessly! The daily bible study guide, commentary, and lexicons are amazing! There are a few things that I would like to see made easier, more accessible, and available. But its flaws are eclipsed by its pure awesomeness!! I mean could you imagine what the actual full version can do? I ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT AND CANT IMAGINE USING ANYTHING ELSE!!!!!.Version: 8.8.0

Great resourceEasy to use interface and quick to learn. Keep up the good work! Excellent resource for reference. Highly recommend!.Version: 4.6.4

GreatI really enjoy using the program. I would also appreciate the amplified bible as well. I find that a downloaded bible, other than the supplied one cannot be read without internet connection. To bad because i live on the edge of internet. I would like to be able to do some research on customs of the times.Version: 29.0.2

Amazing resourceI have used Logos for many, many years. It is my best (and now only) go-to resource for my personal spiritual enrichment, message preparation and Bible teaching resource. I keep finding new treasures..Version: 6.1.1

Not a 5 star, but A 7 Stars!!Anyone who have used other bible software will know that this is the best and the most intuitive of all - the theme are actually thinking like you, whether you are a pastor, researcher, student or faculty, there is something tailored for you. Keep doing the great work. If there is 2 more stars I will give you 7 stars..Version: 5.17.1

Excellent iPhone appAn excellent app, very simple and easy to use, and I can access all my books at any time, and handy to have quick access to a bible when the need arises.Version: 1.7.4

Best Bible app I knowApp seems to work better than the pc version that I’ve used for years. I’ve never really properly got to grips with the pc version - I still find it confusing & slow (seems to spend a lot of time “indexing”), I probably have just not invested enough time on training videos) However this App I seem to find much quicker & easier to use. There are no doubt other such apps out there, but I do have a base logos package so have access to some more resources than the free app version).Version: 9.1.1

Awesome study resourceI completely enjoyed Logos. That is until a recent update that changed the entire app. I cannot figure out how to view things in a way that is user friendly anymore. The most recent update completely changed the layout of the Home Screen. However, all of the features of Logos are still worth the hassle of learning the new layout. Being able to have multiple resources open and link them together so they scroll simultaneously is amazing. For example, you can have a Bible and commentary open together and link them so when one scrolls, the other follows along. This makes studying the Bible much easier. Additionally, every resource is searchable, which makes topic studies easier as well. The recent update in the app (iPad version, not sure about other versions) is a minor inconvenience that I will have to learn to live with - unless they make an option to revert back to a previous layout or add more customization options. Overall, I appreciate Logos. Although slightly expensive, and you don’t get the physical copy of books purchased (sometimes it is nicer to hold the book physically and book mark certain pages), it is worth the cost. The previous app layout would highlight sales and even a free book of the month. The website is still easy to use and does all of that. Despite the very minor shortcomings, I would still recommend Logos to anyone wanting a great way to study the Bible..Version: 9.10.0

Buggy!I would love to give this app a great review. Unfortunately, I can’t do that. As most Logos users probably do, I use mobile devices to read. This is my primary method of reading the Bible, devotionals, commentaries, etc. The desktop version of Logos is solid, however, the iOS apps are filled with bugs when attempting access resources online AND offline. I’ve reported these problems weeks ago, even months ago, and I received no initial response. Two weeks later I had to call and report the issues again. Still no response. I escalated to my sales associate and someone finally contacted me via email with a message saying “we are working on it.” No follow-up since, over one to two months now. Still having the same problems. I would love to see these bugs are fixed so I can give this app a great review. My hope is that someone from Logos that can do something about these issues see this review and contact me..Version: 8.0.6

Almost perfect5 stars as is. Would 8 stars if you can write notes in the app. 10 stars if you could sync the notes with Evernote or similar..Version: 0

Simply the best software for the Scripture studyHighly recommended!!!.Version: 9.1.1

Great appApp navigation is very easy and has all the features that is needed when diving deep into the word. Is has a quick definition search as well as a historical/biblical definition search Overall it’s just an all in one bible app.Version: 25.0.1

Bible Study WordThe latest update made it more difficult to get to Bible Study Word. Previously when holding a Greek word, the bar appeared with many options and one of those options was STUDY which directly led to pie like Study Word. After this update, the STUDY section was removed. Now a small window shows up upon pressing a Greek word (this window was already there in previous versions) and with it the three dots (which don’t always work). In this section one finds Bible Study Word. Why so complicated? Why fix something that wasn’t broken? To be fair, on top of this small window there is an icon of a pie but it doesn’t lead to the actual pie like word study but to the word definition..Version: 9.4.1

ExcellentI have Logos on my ipad Its easy to use. Quick to look up Bible references and follow a speaker etc. Features like having two versions open, searching words and verses are great. Highly recommend it!!!.Version: 3.0.2
