β As old as it getsThis really feels like typing on an old typewriter...this is the sound writers like John Fante heard as they typed their tales of yesterday... This app makes it real like 1936.Version: 0
β It is a nice typewriter emulatorIt feels mosly like an old typewriter. The keys, animations, and sounds feel about right. It's too bad apple doesn't support user customization of the keyboard across all apps. It currently (v1.3) only supports emailing the text you have entered. It might be more useful if the author included an action (maybe a single tap on the typed text) that would transfer all text to the clipboard. Currently you can go into the email stage and copy all text from there. I'm ok with the keys animating up. There wouldn't be much point in them animating down. But maybe you could add an option to turn it off. On the iphone the popup keys are helpful to avoid mistakes. A few things I would like to see change are: 1. As mentioned earlier, a way to copy text. If you want to go above and beyond, include sound/animation like pulling the sheet out. Maybe it could store the last few memos somewhere - I would like to be able to come back to this text if I screw up the paste to another app. 2. do carriage return with a swipe action. it doesn't recognize a swipe on the icon. maybe it could recognize both a a tap and a swipe. 3. a help page. it took me a while to find the carriage return. and then a while to figure out how to actuate it. 4. maybe a swipe up/down to scroll the text. there are only five lines visible at a time. 5. pressing shift should undo shift lock - that is the way i remember it working. at the moment shift seems locked out when lock is on. 6. multi touch use of the shift key might make it feel better -- i.e. hold shift with one finger and type a key with another, instead of shift latching on until next key is pressed. I can see how this might annoy some people familiar with iphone behavior though. It is a nice little app. Probably worth a buck or two if you think you would use a retro interface for more than a few mintues..Version: 0

β Cute, but kind of disappointingI like the look of it, and it types easier than the iPhone keypad=) I thought maybe it would let me send texts that looked like an old typewriter font. β FAB APP!!!!!I adore typewriters and own 3. This app works like a real one with the technological advance of having a backspace that deletes. BONUS! β Great, but not too usefulIt functions perfectly, and is a lot of fun, but emailed documents only keep their formatting if sent as images; emails sent as text are unformatted so you might as well just use the email app. Also, there is no apostrophe at all..Version: 2.0.0

When you type is sounds just like an old fashioned typewriter, it pings when you get to the end and you can email your letter or draft to someone and it comes up in the old style type face. β Just what I wanted.I have various real typewriters and I wanted an app that emulated as near as possible a real typewriter. This app is a great emulation. It looks like a classic machine. It sounds like one and the keys all come up to the paper from the correct angle. The shift and carriage return all work visually too. I've given this app five stars because it works as it should and thought has been put into the animations to make it feel right. If I could recommend anything it would be to have red/black ribbon and a switch to move between the two colours. Other than that it's a typewriter. A simple and elegant machine and a simple and elegant app..Version: 0

β My Dream App!Ever since I laid eyes on this app, I have wanted it from the very beginning! However I'm hesitant to spend money on apps, no matter the price, so I held myself back from getting it...but I looked at the sample pictures and for a few months I ITCHED to get my fingers click-clacking away on this app! Finally, I realized a family friend had given me an iTunes gift card for Christmas, and I dug it up, redeemed it, and voila, my dream app is now snugly in my utilities folder! Not only is this app fun to use, its interface is gorgeous! And when you turn on the sound and start typing, it's like you're typing it for real! I love the realistic way you "press enter" and how it chimes joyfully when you've nearly reached the end of a page. Everything about it is 5 Stars! I write so much stuff on MiTypewriter, and it's a pleasure to do so! ξ« It's a MUST. HAVE..Version: 2.0.0
