✓ Decent app but with drawbacksFirst of all. I love audio books and this app provides a great selection at a pretty reasonable rate. Be mindful though, there are restrictions depending on your location, and not all books provide audio some are only readable. And I find that quite a few performances seem a bit below the level I expected, but still worth a listen though. Also one frustrating thing I find, is that the app doesn’t turn with the device on all sides. Seems a minor issue, but so is fixing it. 😉Overall worth a try.Version: 4.17.2

✓ Terrible User Experience and UIGood content, but terrible, terrible app. Barely usable if you want podcasts, there’s no queue option, when listening to a it’s very long winded and hidden to access the rest of the episodes , extremely unintuitive UI, unpredictable back and “x” buttons and a very long list of design issues. One of the worse UX I’ve seen on an app, specially a payed one. Many independent designers and app developers have done a much better job at making podcast and audiobook apps..Version: 4.14.3

✓ On Big Thing MissingI love storytel, I use it everyday. I can overlook the questionable UI design, but I definitely CANNOT overlook the fact that it doesn’t support CarPlay! CarPlay has been out for ages and still storytel doesn’t support it! Every time I need to listen to a book while driving I have to take out my phone and use it. There is no excuse not to support CarPlay, Apple books & Audible support it so why not storytel? 3/5 stars is more than enough for an audio book app that doesn’t support carplay..Version: 4.17.0

✓ Too many notable titles missingSome authors/books that you won’t find: Sara Douglass Stephen Fry Jordan Peterson Sophie’s World by Jostein Gaarder Emily Rodda Obama’s autobiography The Earthsea trilogy ... These are just books I searched for today. There have been many times I have searched a quite famous author or book and not found it. Yes there are many famous titles like Harry Potter and Tolkien but this app has far from a deep collection. Almost every time I search a book now it won’t be there. There is no text search feature, which is one of the best things about e-books. It’s also not possible to zoom in on the cover art or any other pictures in the book. Another nice feature that’s missing is the ability to highlight text for later reference. When I browse into the categories - there is not search box to search in a specific category (e.g. podcast). ✓ No access to files that should accompany audiobook!Hello, I downloaded an audiobook that needed a PDF that goes along with said book. When I reached out to find out how to get the PDF that had already been mentioned in the Audiobook multiple times I was told by support on Facebook “they told you to look at a PDF, but they never gave us a PDF. So we don’t have one.” This book like a number of other audiobooks need to have the PDF that comes with the audiobook, is how I responded. Their response was “this happens a lot with English books.” If this happens a lot would you not try to figure out a way to solve the problem? None the less I have went back to Audible even though I really like the idea of Storytel. I feel that I’m not the only person that has changed because of this missing feature. Too bad.Version: 4.15.3
