✓ Great toolHas helped me so much. What you think your swing looks like isn’t even close to what it is in reality. This app shows you what you need to work on. I use it at the driving range every time I practice. I wish it had an auto start and stop feature for the camera that senses when a swing has taken place and has stopped. Other similar apps have this so V1 should be able to provide it too. The professional swing models have a lot of players with camera angles that make them fairly useless for comparison of some things..Version: 2.3.57

But with the latest update, nearly every time you start or exit an analysis, there is an advertisement to view and close before returning to using the app. It really lowers the enjoyment of the app usage / interface. ✓ Great App, Could Be BetterI’ve used it to capture and analyze my swing, and it saves lessons created by my instructor. The model swings from pros are very helpful but they are very unorganized. It is a great app, and I haven’t seen anything that offers this much in a single app. I’d like to see better tools to measure and mark up swing images. What it has is better than nothing, but it could be so much better. There are so many pro model swings (hundreds) but the collection is so unorganized it’s hard to get full use of it. The camera positions are not consistent. Also, you don’t get a full set of videos any pro and only a few have a set that includes the four main ones - driver & iron, down-line & face-on. I wish you could mark model swings as favorites. I would like the capability to put tags on them (for easier searches). I would also like the ability to put written notes on them..Version: 2.3.88
✓ Quick analysis toolWe took our iPad to the golf course and recorded our real time swing. It was very useful. I have used the v1 golf system before therefore it was easy to to use this app. This is an analysis tool, it is not a teach you how to be better. You can email your video to a coach for paid analysis, if you want. If you want no cost golf analysis the video comparisons to the pro models is excellent. ✓ A must for all golfersCan not understand why this app is not in the top 20 as its one of the best apps i have down loaded .i'm lucky to be the proud owner of a ipad and iphone4 which works together brilliantly with this app,had a 3gs which was ok. I'll take a video shot of my son on the golf coarse then upload it to my locker then down load to my iPad. Then add a few guide lines to show the golf plane. You can compare with over a dozen pro off the tour, to see how it should be done. If your serious about your golf and spend a lot of money on lessons it's worth going out and buying the lot as a package, you'll never need another lesson and have great fun analysing your swing. ✓ Very good platform for continuous improvementOverall I think this is a very good golf swing analysis app especially if you’re working with an instructor on the same platform. Some features that are missing include the inability to undo individual drawing elements, it’s all or nothing which can be frustrating when you only want to remove one line. There is also no angle tool in my version. Also, when you upload a video to your instructor it’s removed from your list so you can’t compare it to other swings. ✓ Great golf practice and training aidI am an avid (but not always good) golfer who regularly takes lessons. I practice frequently and usually with training aids. I switch to the front facing camera, put the iPhone on my bag directly behind me and keep it there throughout my session. I am able to see myself (sort of like a little but very clear mirror) and monitor backswing positions. I video a few swings, review them and then practice some more. Great app!!.Version: 0

✓ Swing comparisons are great!I love the V1 app! Whether it’s helping others or myself the swing comparison options allow me to compare swings side by side or overlayed upon each other! Another helpful option is being able to progress a swing at a slower speed allowing me to find those slight variations between a decent swing and a great swing! The only reason I gave a 4 rating instead of a 5 is due to trying to draw the lines and angles. Maybe someone more computer literate can figure it out better than myself. The problem I had was getting the squiggly lines being automatically straightened at times and at other times it wouldn’t. Sometimes it would display the angle while other times it wouldn’t. I was hesitant to do an online lesson, but the availability of having a top notch instructor like Tom Saguto evaluate my swing is invaluable. Was very easy to record my swing, upload, and get the instructors feedback. Then take those tips from the instructor and be able to analyze them using this tool has significantly helped. ✓ V1 is BACK and better than ever!!!My favorite swing app of all time is back and better than ever!! As a PGA professional I have used this app for years and years and always loved it. A few months ago they came out with an update that just didn’t live up to the V1 quality I had come to expect, in fact it had quite a few very troublesome bugs. I emailed and spoke with several people in the company (Kelly, Mike, Thom & Chris). All of them were very understanding and very helpful. So much so that they added me to their Beta testing team. So after weeks of testing, communicating and a boat load of hard work on their part they released this most recent update. All I can say is WOW!!! My V1 app was back to the quality I remembered AND they added a bunch of new features that really enhanced the user experience. You can now trim and edit the videos with ease, add student names along with club used and save or send the videos to your students. The video capture and playback are good but there is an obviously omission of a jump backwards button instead you have to use the scrub bar which isn't that precise. Apart from that a pretty good application, plenty of tips and training tutorials. ✓ Not fond of upgradesI can no longer record a swing and then immediately review the swing. After recording I now have to tap through 4 interfaces before I can analyzing the swing. I have to tap save, then tap out of record mode, then tap analyze before being able to break down the swing. This wastes a lot of time and is annoying to say the least. Next, It is no longer possible to delete more than one recording at a time. Finally, you have to set the record delay time every time you record the swing. More wasted time.Version: 2.1.41

✓ Great app, laborious to trimThis is a great app but it’s really time consuming to trim the videos. For those of us alone, we often set up the camera and then set up, swing, and walk back to stop the recording. To trim the recording down to the swing is really a pain. A really slick enhancement could be using Apple Watch app as a recording start and stop remote. I currently subscribe to the new V1+ app and it seems more awkward and difficult to use with less features. ✓ Best swing analysis app.... by far!!I'm a PGA golf professional and have run my own golf academy for the last 12 years. I have used a range of video analysis software over the years and spent a small fortune on equipment. Since purchasing this app on my iPhone 4 I have filmed all my pupils swings and had exceptional results and extremely positive feedback. The quality of playback is unbelievable! It is extremely easy to use but (as others have said) the drawing of lines etc is quite difficult but what do you expect from a phone!? I bet it's much easier on an ipad, but for what I want it's perfect! You can even email swings in seconds. ✓ HEVC vs H264 CodecsThe app was corrected on August 8, 2023 due to problems analyzing iPhone captures in HEVC format, which is the native iOS format. I could view and edit them when they synced to my iPad because the codec automatically changed to H264 … and everything worked smoothly. You still won’t be able to edit old videos on the iPhone app that were previously captured using HEVC; however, I confirmed that all new captures now use the H264 codec and work smoothly..Version: 3.10.2

I’ve learned a lot from the pro swings in the app, but my 1 complaint is there aren’t many pro swings available for free. Actually, now that I think about it, I paid $9.99 for the paid version of this app about 6 years ago and it had a ton of great features. ✓ Help featureI just downloaded the app but had trouble getting the camera feature to work. I sent a message to the help chat and I got an immediate response from Don who sent me step by step directions on what to do which easily and quickly solved the problem.
