✓ Your Newsday website is a Failed business modelI would give you zero stars but it’s not an option. You’re business model does not work - you’re not The NY Times - ALL articles should be free and then with more eyeballs, you’ll get the advertisers to buy banners and have links. You’re business model is limited and the results are terrible. For example, The NY Post is free and completely trounces you in visits, eyeballs, advertising revenue and overall usage and satisfaction…. Newsday: you’re wrong and continue to stay wrong. You wouldn’t even know that wrestling had taken place this past Friday and Saturday. 1,000’s of student athletes competed this week yet rarely a box score appears. ✓ Archive papers not showingSometimes I don’t get to read a paper on the day it comes out, so I rely on the archive to read a back issue. Lately back issues are not showing up every day. I called Newsday and the Newsday rep said to delete the app and download it again, and I did this and it does work, back issues magically appeared. But I am getting tired of doing this every time I need to read a back issue. Can you please fix this flaw Newsday? I’ll give you more stars if you do, I promise! 😒.Version: 5.1.1

✓ Solid Reporting but Online Access Needs ImprovementHave been a Newsday subscriber for many, many decades because the reporting has always been reliable and pertinent; still is. However, from time to time I view the paper online, mostly to share an article or op/ed with someone. Finding it online should be very easy and it is, if it’s that day’s paper. However, if what I want to share is from any previous day, it becomes somewhat of a chore. So I think this aspect of accessing the paper could use some welcome improvements. THANX. ✓ Newsday reviewWill miss the paper if we discontinue it because the cost is too high. Need to have a paper delivered enjoy the sections of the paper. Having the option to view on-line is extremely useful. Takes away from other reading that I should complete. Although I devote my time to read Newsday it is not the only option to use my mind daily. ✓ Online Subscription TroublesThree times I subscribed to Newsday digital services, the count is not over a lifetime, years or several months. The 3 attempts were actual agreements I accepted to pay within a few months. It was more times I tried logging in after creating passwords that were saved. It seems like Newsday soon reject my subscriptions and state they have no record of my accounts. The Long Island newspaper was a part of my life growing up and residing in Suffolk County. They have an excellent staff with talented reporters, photographers, and writers. Newsday investigated and produced prize-winning reports, series, articles, and videos. The establishment won major, editorial awards. Nonetheless, I am much discouraged by the experience as a subscriber. Many thousands people might be having a great time with Newsday. But, I had enough; the only task for me is to make sure they don’t charge my credit card..Version: 5.6.17
✓ Excellent PaperJust moved to Long Island, NY and currently have a digital only subscription to Newsday. The app and the paper are absolutely top notch and are what all papers should strive for. Easy to navigate app. Excellent and balanced reporting. Both politically and local vs state vs national issues. Plus an appropriate amount of sports and lifestyle coverage to really make this a valuable publication. Such a refreshing perspective without the clickbait headlines of other news sources. ✓ They Report the NewsI try to read Newsday and the Post every day. Newsday just reports the news, and “The Post” is so far to the right they cannot report the news objectively, consequently complete bias reporting. Sometimes I read “The Post” it’s like reading Facebook so I rely on “Newsday for accurate reporting therefore the main reason I read and rely on Newsday. ✓ My Daily Dose of All Things Long IslandI get two newspapers delivered to my door every day; The New York Times and Newsday. The ‘paper of record’ (NYT) is of course wonderful, but I start every morning with coffee and Newsday. You won’t get Long Island news and events covered as extensively and thoroughly anywhere else. I also value Newsday as a source for local activities and events that my family and I can enjoy right here on our beautiful island. ✓ App needs to be incorporated into subscriber servicesApple iTunes subscribers are not listed anywhere on this app. The app does not give you the option to use your iTunes subscription for login services. All it does is it recognizes the subscribers to Newsday itself. There is nowhere on the app that gives me an option as an an iTunes subscriber. It doesn’t recognize me as a subscriber anywhere and therefore I can’t use subscriber services..Version: 5.6.22
✓ Out of area reviewI am a new resident of Conway, SC (near Myrtle Beach) & previously lived the last 29 years in northern New Jersey. I’m a huge NY Jets fan and was always interested in reading Newsdays’ sports articles about the Jets. These articles also introduced me to the Long Island area, so I’ve been a fan of LI ever since! Now that I’m living, geographically, much further away, I’m enjoying the Newsday App, so, I can keep up with an area of the country I love. ✓ Enjoying Newsday from afarWe lived on Long Island for 41 years. Always had Newsday delivered and especially enjoyed your sports section and articles on the island events. In 2018 we relocated to Pennsylvania to be near family. The newspaper in PA couldn’t hold a candle to Newsday in terms of content and interesting articles. ✓ Great local newspaper, app seems to be stableThis is the best local newspaper, with little bias in reporting unlike the national news sources. Over all the years, they have always provide excellent local investigative news reporting. When I travel and read various other local papers, Newsday is no comparison. Need to continue to support excellent reporting. Thankfully, the app seems stable again after the buggy iOS 13 release. I love the fact that when I’m reading the newspaper edition, I can click on the article and it reformation it to a much easier format for the device. IMHO, they have nicely address electronic news while still trying to keep the paper addition going. I just wish their electronic subscription cost is less than the paper subscription edition..Version: 5.2
