✓ Very hard to useI’ve had this app for years and it can be helpful but it’s also too hard to use most the time and I don’t think I’m going to renew my yearly subscription again My issue is that the main thing I like to use it for is favoriting a location and then having sky fire notify me when the conditions are good. Haven’t used the app on a while and I can no longer figure out to do something as simple as add a location as a favorite. Went online and tried to find help and can’t find anything. Why can’t you just favorite a location as you search for it? The app could be better if they just made it more intuitive.Version: 4.11.2

✓ DisappointingHave belatedly found one of the most useful features, Augmented Reality, is not available to iPhone 6 because “AR function is built on Apple's ARKit”. Really?? Other developers manage quite successful, for example THE major UK mapping organisation - Ordnance Survey, and it works really well with their App. BIG disappointment!.Version: 4.4.1
✓ Import and export of locationsWhy is it so difficult to import and export locations? Why do I have to “email” them to do this? Wouldn’t it be much easier if I could save the KML file to “Files”??? This handicap really spoils my enjoyment of TPE, I’m sorry to say!!.Version: 4.2.1

✓ TPEWhy does the automatic time zone and location not work? I live in Australia NOT Africa. It is a pain to have to input the location manually all of the time! Other than that it seems ok and will be quite useful, and will be excellent IF it incorporates the rest of the world in its features and not just the just the USA..Version: 2.5
✓ Fab but flawedIt was great until I signed up to the Skyfire add-on and now the app keeps randomly logging me out and refusing to accept my account password to get back in. It means I can’t keep my locations in sync with my desktop version either which is more of a nuisance than missing out on Skyfire which isn’t that accurate at the best of times anyway. ✓ TPE - YES! SkyFire - TerribleDoes TPE have any relationship with the terribly inept SkyFire App? We buy SkyFire through the TPE app. Either tell them to pull their head out of their butts and make the app work like it used to work, or boot them off your TPE partner list!!! ✓ Still a crap app - but WAAAAAY worse than beforeI so hate this app now. Help is just gobble-dee-goop. Shadows are a joke. *Extremely* DIFFICULT to use or understand, especially compared to the earlier version. All you can do here is check sunrise and sunset and same for moon. Too difficult to use this for anything else. And a complete RIP OFF for the $10 you have to pay for this piece of crap. Not great before but it was workable. Now it is crap. ✓ Sadly past its best!I used to use this App a lot for my professional photography. The user interface was simple and intuitive with option to store locations - a feature I used heaps. Similarly with my desktop Mac App. Sadly these features have all been lost, with the demise of the Desktop App, becoming web based with "yet another" website to login to if you wish to save locations. The iPad App UI is now cluttered and all my saved locations gone without so much as a mention! Well done coders for jumping on the bandwagon with too many bells and whistles and fixing the unbroken. This is still a very useful tool and fantastic for free but let's make it perfect once more - please, and no signing in to an account, I live in rural Devon with next to no mobile signal so forget me logging in on the go!! ✓ Robbery that you have to pay £8.99 for this!!!If you already have Photopills don’t bother with this. PhotoPills does more and it’s free. The extra stuff like predicting sunrise/sunset, that may be of use that Photopills doesn’t have, you have to subscribe to, they don’t mention that in the description and as such I have asked for my money back. Maybe the 3d version is better but you can’t even pay a little more to upgrade you have to pay another £9.99 for that..Version: 4.10

✓ Needs workReally has great potential but it does need work... Fine-tuning the time is awkward for a start, but my main gripe (after only 5 minutes use, so obviously will annoy me more with regular use) is that you have to type in your search from scratch every time, which is REALLY annoying if you make a typo, or for when it takes you to the wrong location and you have to add more address detail! Plus, if i want to save a location in favourites, it only lets me save it if I click the Use button to use the full address... In other words, it does not allow me to save if i try to add my own name to the tag. That's daft..Version: 2.0.4

✓ Promising, but flawedReally great overall execution and features. With an nearly-unusable UI. There are lots of really weird choices that don’t make sense, but the main problem is: You can’t zoom out enough to pan around and find a location. Search doesn’t work well. This means if aren’t standing AT your location, or at least close, you may not be able to use the app. It’ll tell you it’s at “flight ceiling.” Come on, it’s a map. In general it’s a useful bit immensely frustrating app that will take 4x the amount of time it should..Version: 4.11.2

✓ App is ok could be much better easilyWhy doesn’t the app automatically reset to today’s date? It asks you if you want to, but also includes a “don’t ask again” button. Which is ambiguous. Is it don’t ask again because it will always reset or don’t ask again and it won’t reset. I assure you more often than not people are interest in today and future dates. ✓ Great app but...It works very well for sun/moon alignment but don’t rely on this app for sky colors. It fails quite a lot. The days that the app was showing very intense colors on the map I went out to photograph and it ended up being very boring and no much colors and the days that shows no colors at all, like white, I look outside my window and the sky and clouds were totally pink and beautiful colors. Trust in your instincts and go out when you think there’s a chance to be nice. Don’t trust this app for that!.Version: 4.1.5

✓ Cannot Save New Locations in the Mobile AppI have looked everywhere, but it appears that the only place to save a location that you personally designate is while you are in the Web Site. And, to add insult to injury, you cannot use the desktop version on a mobile device. This is very inconvenient considering I always have my mobile devices when traveling rather than my desktop computer. Additionally, the Skyfire add-on is rarely correct. I understand that weather changes, but when the accuracy is less than 50% that is an issue..Version: 4.11.2

✓ Some Love, Some FrustrationI love TPE, the 3-D model I have not been so quick to adapt but that could be personal preference. My largest frustration to date is with the SkyFire add-on. I paid for the subscription and have my favorite spots setup. TPE keeps logging me out of the app and therefore I'm missing notifications! Very frustrated....Version: 4.5.1
