Breathing Zone for Positive User Reviews

GreatI don't know about the breathing analyser as I haven't used it, but I use this app every day to guide me through five minutes of deep breathing. It does the job very well. I like the simple, attractive design. Since using it everyday, I've been feeling more relaxed. Any app that can do that for me is well worth having!.Version: 1.6

Absolutely brilliant for controlling your BP through controlled breathingThis little app has taught me how to bring my breaths per minute right down and with it my BP. It's a brilliant relaxation tool, that I find works just as well as the £180 Resperate breathing device (which I also own). Great for mellowing out whilst doing the daily train commute..Version: 1.6

I like it.This app is good reminder to slow down and monitor our breathing. Great for enhancing mindfulness..Version: 2.6

Love itI just started using this app and I love it, I uses it for 5 minutes and I'm already so relaxed..Version: 2.3

PerfectThe app is so simple and easy to use, that I actually am keeping my resolve to do 15 minutes of deep breathing every day. As a therapist, I've recommended it to clients, as well as family members..Version: 1.7

Best breathing appI probably downloaded 4 other apps before paying for this one. While I wish it was less expensive, it’s the most customizable app I’ve found. I love that I can play this track over my meditation music. Breathing like this is the best thing I’ve found for managing my anxiety, and was recommended to me by a Ph.D in counseling. I do it almost daily!.Version: 4.5

Great breathing appI like this app. I use it infrequently though. I like how can change color scenes and sounds of the in/out guidance. The only downside would be that I can't set up reminders which would be very usefull for habitual practice. 😇.Version: 3.1

Love this appOne of my very favorite apps. It truly teaches you how to breathe and is a great reminder to slow down and take deep breaths throughout your day. You can customize the voice and the color of the background. Excellent..Version: 3.1

Simple & EasyI just started using this app for some anxiety issues I have been having. At this short time I am extremely please on the results. I have slowed down and the app has me thinking throughout the day to stay focused, from ding to dong. When The Mayo Clinic advises you to use this app, I will use it and use it daily..Version: 3.1

Simple but effectiveNothing stunning here but works quite well for relaxation purposes for me at least.Version: 1.7

Great breathing appThis breathing app allows me to stay focused on the breathing exercise better than my garmin watch which I use just as often (and love for its built-in breathing exercises). For me that’s great because after a few minutes of devoted effort I will feel my body begin to relax and get me into an ideal state for meditation/mindfulness training. For me this is a tool to prepare me for meditation. I like to mount my device into a free standing mini tripod (just a basic selfie-stick with small foldable legs) so that I’m free to breathe/move and have the screen in sight on its own stand while I’m sitting in a chair. It’s nice because you have visual guidance on the screen that’s very appealing and effortless to follow, and my favourite is pairing my device to my Bluetooth speaker and choosing the “singing bowls” sound effect which works as an excellent tool because now you have audible guidance in addition to visual guidance so you know exactly when to inhale and exhale! So that means I can grab a speaker and continue the breathing exercise despite not looking at the screen. But the visual is still very helpful for you to be more precise. The reason for 4 stars is because I use this app across multiple iOS devices (MacOS, iPhone XR, iPod Touch 6th gen) but it does not sync your settings across devices, so if I want to use my multiple devices each day to breathe, it doesn’t take into account the overall time I spent doing breathing exercises that day on each device. It’s like I’m a stranger on each new device. I’m sure this is an easy thing for them to fix because nowadays most apps tend to sync across devices which is convenient and time saving, and it’s expected to be honest. It only shows the amount of time you spent on the device itself, not overall/across devices. And I also have to change the settings (inhale/exhales times) across devices so it would be nice if I could just continue with the same settings across all my devices without having to grab my other device to see what the settings are that need to be changed. Thanks..Version: 5.7

Thank you for fixing after the updateThe app makers fixed the issue I complained below. It's back to its awesome state, now with better graphics. Five stars! (Until a few days ago, you could set the app with a starting breathing rate and an ending one. Because of that feature, you could start with your regular pace (5 breaths a minute) and the app would gradually take your breath down to, say 2 or 3 breaths a minute. Now, with the update, you can only choose one rate.).Version: 4.2

Neat little appI highly recommend the Breathing Zone app to anyone looking for a simple and effective way to reduce stress and improve their overall well-being. The app offers a variety of guided breathing exercises that are easy to follow and can be customized to fit your individual needs. I've found the app to be especially helpful for managing insomnia. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a way to improve their breathing and overall well-being.Version: 5.7

Love it but needs updateThis is really a wonderful simple and effective app. Customizable and easy. Only complaint is that it hasn’t been updated in a year and is a bit buggy. Sometimes stops for no reason or doesn’t start correctly..Version: 4.5

Good appTried a few free apps and this is worth the small fee. It’s easy to use. Easy to change settings and nice variety of options to change noise/voice/combo etc..Version: 4.9.2

Missing from Apple WatchHello, I bought this for use on my Apple Watch. The app isn’t appearing on the watch. Update: How can the breathing rate be changed on the watch? I’ve set to 5.3 on the phone, but it is at 6 on the watch which is too fast. How can the chime breathing rate alert be turned off on the Apple Watch 3? Thank you..Version: 4.5

Thank you for this latest update!Update: Jan 15/ 18. Thank you for addressing all of my concerns listed below!! I'm back to recommending and am a very happy user!! Great service and app! Dec. 30/17 I have been using breathing zone for years and loved the old version for 3 reasons: 1) you could set the timer for the exact number of breaths/minute you wanted. 2) the breath in time was equal to the breath out time. 3) the flowing water made it easy to stay in rhythm without watching the screen. I work in wellness at a large college and have recommended breathing zone to my clients but honestly I can't do that anymore because it is unusable the way it is. Sorry..Version: 4.4

Benefit Mentally & physicallyThis app does work no BS!..helps me relax on my way to & from work.really does work.amazing how just simple breathing techniques can do that!!!!.Version: 1.7

Highly recommendedThis app *is* brilliant. So simple and so effective. I just finished a session then (it's 7am) and thought I should definitely review the app. At this time of morning, I'm so tired and my mind is thinking about so much but this app honestly calms me and prepares me for the day ahead. Give it a go!.Version: 1.6

Very good!Simple and does exactly what it says, 5*.Version: 1.7

BreathingIt is good breathing exercise....Version: 1.7

👍Does what it says on the tin!.Version: 2.4

Reduce stress and stay calmerReally good app not selling anything except practising to improve breathing. Really helpful if doing CBT.Version: 5.4

Great AppI want to start off by saying I have been using this app for about a year and it works great and is worth the price being charged. With that being said I’m using the newest iOS software iOS 13.1 and every time I open the app it crashes and returns to the main screen. Can you help or I am assuming that the newest iOS software is glitching and making the app unresponsive is there any updates or support for this issue?.Version: 4.9.1

Excellent!Great for anyone with anxiety, perfect before bed for a good night sleep. Well done..Version: 0

Good apoQuick, simple exercise to calm down racing thoughts. Can adjust time, sounds and visuals in settings..Version: 3.1

Very goodI chose this app because it had been recommended on reputable health sites. I have used it and seen my blood pressure improve. My only criticism is that a guide to using the app with ideal breathing rates per minute to aim for would have been helpful..Version: 4.5

Stopped workingI really loved this app and had been using it for about a year, but since the update it doesn't load at all - shame..Version: 2.0

Fix this please!.Version: 4.9.2

FantasticReally helps with my anxiety.Version: 5.7

ReviewThe weekly target adds up ok but does change with the change of week.Version: 1.7

Simple and effectiveEverything you need to breathe the cadence you desire.Version: 5.7

Love it!So simple, so effective..Version: 1.6

Learning2BMindfulIt's hard to breathe 'normally' into the analyser because you're overthinking it so it took me a little while to get it set where I felt it was helping me. Now I really look forward to using it and love how the graphic reminds me to relax and allow my lungs to fill fully and completely empty. Great little app..Version: 3.1

Kudos! Yay you are great again 😂👍🏻January 14, 2018. The company listened to their customers and fixed things in the app that they had changed! I feel comfortable now writing a GREAT REVIEW! The app now provides the user with several selectable options; gender voice, background sounds, duration, variance in rate, and breathing style! Once again my “go to app” for relaxing 👍🏻. Thanks Breathing Zone...I will resume recommending this app to everyone 👏🏼👍🏻🧘🏼‍♂️🎉.Version: 4.4

0-zen in a few minutesSo simple and yet very effective app.Version: 2.5

Breathing Zone Healing zoneThe breathing zone app helps me regulate my mental fatigue but allowing me to take breaks , just to breathe..Version: 5.7

ThanksGreat little tool.Version: 3.1

Well worth it!I do 15 minutes of deep breathing every morning and have been using a breathing exercise cd for a while now. But because I am able to breath a lot more deeply now I have outgrown it. This is why I am so glad I purchased this app to replace it. You can't ever outgrow it because it allows you to adjust the length of the breath down as far as 2 breaths a minute..Version: 1.6

Spelling and support and developer links.Your app support link in this App Store post (which goes to the same page as your developer link—there’s no support), contains no contact info. I was going to email this privately, but couldn’t. In your posting in AppAdviceDaily, your subtitle is “just breath.” Breathe is spelled breathe, with an e. Thought you’d want to know so you can correct that posting in case you use it again. Unless you meant breath (the air one takes in and expels)?.Version: 4.9.2

BreatheFantastic app really helps.Version: 3.1

A breath of fresh air!I have tried a few other breathing apps, but this one is totally the best. It is the only one that can monitor your own breathing rate. It was very easy to use the first time and the graphics are beautiful. I really liked the music options - totally zen and soothing! Highly recommended..Version: 2.0

EffectiveAs described. Easy to use and effective.Version: 2.3

Interesting stuffRecommended by my coach, tested for a week. I feel good..Version: 1.6

Simple but usefull. Simple mais utileHelp me to relax in minutes. Thanks.Version: 1.7

Great AppJust a great example of how an app can be beautiful in its simplicity. I’ve used it for a long time now and its been a wonderful tool to take a break from the day and focus my attention to important life patterns..Version: 5.7

Would prefer older versionOld version worked awesome, I find the new version unusable. Is there any way I can restore the old version and stay with that?.Version: 4.2

Has helped me to relaxI do the breathing zone exercise, three times a day. Just love it, keeps my mind and body relaxed..Version: 4.5

Simple but surprisingly effectiveEnabled me to regulate and slow down my breathing in a way that other exercises haven't..Version: 1.7

Really nice.Having a stressful life at the minute and this really helps for a quick breather. Still doing long, guided meditation to really relax me but this is great for a quick time out..Version: 3.1

Does what it saysI have two more breathing apps. This one has become my favorite..Version: 2.6

Needs just one more thingIf this app could be set to operate for 8 hours instead of just 60 minutes, it would be perfect. It helps me go to sleep beautifully but when I wake up two hours later I have to restart the app. It is a very easy-to-use app that is a godsend. The white noise is customizable to my breathing rate. Wonderful!.Version: 4.5

Nice and simpleI really like this app for its sheer simplicity. It works well for me and I can use it for those times at work where I need to stop and remember to breathe..Version: 2.6

The perfect app to time your breathing. Thank-youThe only app I could find for what I was looking for and it was free!.Version: 1.7

Great app!Easy to use, easy to do. No fuss. Thanks for creating this app!.Version: 4.5

I can give this nothing less than 5*The app is simple, there really isn't any need for it to be more complicated or look more fancy. The graphics again are simple, if a visual helps you it doesn't need to distract from what you're doing, personally I find it easier to concentrate with my eyes closed. The breath analyser worked fine for me and all other aspects of the app have been great. On top of that the breathing exercises have helped me immensely, aiding in relaxation, stress-reduction and giving a general feeling of wellbeing. While I cannot say for certain my BP has lowered, many symptoms of it being high at times have disappeared. A first rate, 5* app..Version: 1.7

Useful and easy to make it a routineOne of the best apps of this kind I have found so far, beautiful and calming graphics making the exercises easy to perform and with remarkable results..Version: 2.6

LOVE THIS APPI absolutely love this app!! It helps me regulate my breathing when my Muscular Dystrophy breathing flares up. It also helps me relax & get to sleep within 10 minutes! I've seen reviews that say their set breathing gets changed. I haven't had that issue but do know that you can reset your breathing rate at any time on the 3rd screen in settings. There are several sounds to choose from. I personally find the Indian Bansuri very relaxing. Love, love, love this app!! I just wish it could be set for longer than an hour *EDIT ~ still love this app but am confused about the "breaths per hour". It always says 313. I'm a very shallow breather so I don't think that's correct..Version: 5.4

Breathing DifferentlyThis app was recommended to me by my climbing coach. I’ve used it everyday since for 5 minutes and I immediately noticed how grounding it is. I’m a classic over-thinker so I either do 5 minutes on this app in the morning to remind myself to start the day being present or in the middle of the day when my thoughts get hectic and I need to centre myself. I have also started to notice how tight my body feels sometimes and I immediacy take a few breaths at the speed of the app on my own to relax. It’s brilliant 🙏🏻.Version: 5.7

Love this appWhen I use this app everyday I find I have more energy and I am more relaxed. I have found my breathing has gotten deeper and stronger the more I use it. I like to use the ocean waves, equal breath in and out, no guide voice for 10-15 minutes..Version: 4.5

Perfect, Free, Private, Small DownloadI bow to the makers of this app. They have designed Breathing Zone with all of the ideal considerations: choice of breathing pattern, rate and duration, a variety of pleasing colors (red is perfect for night use), sounds that are easy on the ear (for me, white noise is great for eyes-closed breathwork), a lovely visual … and all in an app that is very small memory-wise, so it doesn’t take up much space for people with smaller capacity phones. And it’s free! If that weren’t already good enough, the app makers were thoughtful enough not to collect private/personally identifying data, just the bare minimum to be able to see how the app is used and to make appropriate improvements. It’s also kept up to date, so you’re not downloading something that’s been abandoned years ago. Thank you, you are so kind to provide this gift for our health and well-being!.Version: 5.7

Good relaxation tool - it works!Easy to use and effective breathing exercise..Version: 1.6

Great app...But it does tend to stop working just before the final one or two cycles of a 15 minute session; has to be restarted which is annoying..Version: 2.6

This is the oneI highly recommend this app for creating or allowing inner peace. It works like no other method that I've tried. As do most others, I live a busy life so I need as much help as available to help me relax naturally..Version: 3.1

NiceVery interesting app for developping timed breathing. As a musician, I would suggest adding a Nice wood sounding metronome as an option with the option of a precise number of clicks for inhaling and for exhaling. The speed would be controlled with tempo (aka beats per minute).Version: 0

Well-designed appEasy to use, lots of options. Effective..Version: 3.1

EaseWonderful tool to assist in achieving and maintaining not just physical, but also mental wellbeing. Highly recommended for those who carry tension and stress..Version: 1.7

App with flexible featuresThis app has flexible features. You can rely on only the visual signal to inhale and exhale, or you can close your eyes and listen to a male or female voice along with one of several background sounds. If you want just the background sound, you can set the voice to "silent.".Version: 3.1

GreatThis is great!.Version: 1.7

Fantastic appThis App is simple and does what it says it does. Helps me sleep. I don’t like any of the voices though and use the sound instead. Have used in the doctor’s office to lower blood pressure ( bad case of white coat syndrome). Actually reduced BP 10-15 points-. Additions could be more voices, sounds, and sliders for colors. One of my favorite apps..Version: 5.7

Really helpsThis app makes you aware how shallow your normal breathing actually is. Plus, try it at bedtime. Set the timer to 10 mins. See if you get to the end without dozing off! Zzzzzz.Version: 2.5

That’s it!Free app to help mindfulness, regulate breathing, relax. Once a day, one a week, doesn’t matter; helps to regroup and re-ground in a life that can become overwhelming. Would recommend for those especially with anxiety ♥️.Version: 5.7

Good appHelps slow breathing and relaxes the mind..Version: 1.7

Ok to Update!Developer, I just deleted my previously negative review, thank you kindly for this update restoring beginning/end rate for a session! A breathing practice is critical to stress management and grounding yourself in the present when life feels out of control. This app is the backbone of a serious breathing practice while remaining simple and with a beautiful interface..Version: 4.2

Instant relaxationI’m an intense, high energy person who needs to relax! I’ve been using this app on and off for many years. 15 mins of 4-7-8 breath has an instant calming effect with the added bonus of normalizing my blood pressure. Highly recommend it..Version: 5.7

Excellent app for stress managementThis app is probably intuitive for younger people, but initially I was stuck not knowing how to begin the session. After getting tech support, I like the Breathing Zone and highly recommend it as a healthy coping tool for stress. Anytime I feel stress in my body in the form of mental frustration, muscle tension, queasy stomach, tingling or shallow breathing I turn on the app. Using the Breathing Zone calms my body and mind by breathing fully the Vegas nerve and sympathetic system are balanced and I come back into balance or homeostasis..Version: 5.7

New update doesn’t work the same. .Please help! This was my son’s favorite breathing app. The update has changed the way the water sound diminishes. It comes to an abrupt end rather than fading to nothing. This sound is really distracting for my son and he now won’t use the app. Please, is someone able to correct this? He really misses the old version.Version: 4.1

Love the UpdateLove the update. Visually stimulating and peaceful. Why doesn't it automatically slow the breathing pace anymore? I miss being able to set a target rate. That was a high value feature of the original for me. Thanks for making this app..Version: 4.1

Simply perfectI I use the ability to make the exhales longer than inhales To create a five minute calming down app both on my phone and watch that is just utterly refreshing and reflects the best blood pressure lowering advice out there. I I can’t think this developer enough!.Version: 5.7

Willpower enhancerI've been reading Willpower Instinct. One of the ways we can boost our willpower or overall ability to stay focused, alert, healthy, and ween away from impulsive behavior is to breath at about 4 beats per minute. I'm not there yet, but even a 2 minute session of slower breathing helps tremendously. This app helps me achieve that objective. It be nice if there was smaller time increments in breathing vs. the minimum 5 minutes..Version: 1.7

Simple and very helpfulSimple app that works as advertised. Very helpful., Despite having a prominent Help/Feedback button, it can take quite a while to receive developer’s feedback..Version: 5.6

RelaxingA great app! I always use it when I am stressed and insomniac. It never fails to un-stress me....Version: 2.6

Wonderful RelaxationBreathing Zone has helped me relax and take control of my breathing in life's stressful moments. I also use it a while after exercise to restore the slower breathing to my body. This app is very worth the time and money!.Version: 3.1

Simple.Controlled, therapeutic breathing for fifteen minutes before sleeping seems to work for me — my BP lowered significantly after this process began. It might be worth experimenting with different breathing rates, session durations and postures/positions (sitting, lying down etc.). There isn't a magic wand for hypertension, so don't expect this app to produce one. Use it as part of a collection of healthy habits that cumulatively lower your blood pressure. Therapeutic breathing is one of the options available to test and experiment with. This app is the best I've found for doing so easily. Would be five stars if we could choose our own sounds..Version: 1.6

I have used this app for over 1k hoursI love what it does for you. Breathing at 6bpm is a very simple way to meditate, lower anxiety, and alter your cardio profile. The new version of the app is awesome and I like the new logo. This is best app of its kind on the market. I’ve tried them all. Changed to 5 stars after developer feedback. Functionality I thought was missing was still there..Version: 4.5

It's good but it needs to have a chart with your weekly progressIt's good but it needs to have a chart with your weekly progress.Version: 3.1

Great app, easy to understand & use.Very helpful..Version: 2.6

Excellent appExcellent very simple to use.Version: 2.6

Excellent, but with minor glitchesFor core functionality, it’s near perfect. But the second exhale in the 4-7-8 session is not right. The mandala freezes at the top of the breath for 1-2 seconds. Also (minor glitch) the Activity and Settings screens don’t mind the iPhone’s “notch,” so the title text is obscured behind it..Version: 4.5

Best out thereIf you’re looking for a customizable, down to business breathing exercise, then this is it. No listening to a “yogi” and their life story. No five minute set up. No affirmations congratulating you. This is just focused breathing and sometimes that’s what you need.Version: 5.7

The best chill out in times of crisis!Such an amazing, helpful app that always brings me back in line. A true companion on my journey of mindfulness. So thankful for these developers and their work. Way to go folks ☺️🤘🏻You all have helped more than you know..Version: 3.1

Great help with blood pressureI have been seeing my blood pressure rising in the past year, when I use this app for breathing exercise for 10 minutes I have a 10-20 point drop in my blood pressure. And it's relaxing, feels good..Version: 3.1

Good appI really like the app!.Version: 1.7

Simple Easy to use breathing toolI love how simple and easy to use this app is. The visual aspect really helps me get into the breathing rhythm and then I can close my eyes and just focus. I use this to help with my anxiety and to help focus and quite my mind. It has been incredibly helpful 😊.Version: 3.1

Jiujitsu athleteI am a jiujitsu competitor and have won many championships through focus of breath. Great idea and great app.Version: 3.1

GoodGood for relaxing; great for sleeping..Version: 2.6

Fabulous appThis app with it's beautiful visual effect and clear instructions is a great aid in settling down an overactive sympathetic nervous system - much gratitude- thank you.Version: 3.1

Simple and greatVery helpful.Version: 2.5

No more Chest infectionsWhen I gave up smoking 12 years ago I was always getting chest infections because not enough fresh oxygen and blood wasn't getting down to the bottom of my lungs, I was constantly on antibiotics, it has now been 3 months since using this application and I haven't been to the hospital once! You really don't know how much this application & deep breathing exercise has changed my life! Thank you so much!.Version: 1.7

Great breathing appLove the settings, sounds and visualizations. Just wish it had a feature where you hold your breath before letting it out..Version: 2.6

Great app to focus on slowing down your breathingMost people know that taking some deep breaths helps to calm you down but doing it for 5 minutes takes some focus, but this app makes its easy. Try it and see !.Version: 1.7

Highly Recommend! As a Health Coach, the first thing that I teach clients is how to breathe effectively. We start with slow, deep diaphragmatic breathing. Then we move on to Dr Weill’s 4-7-8 breathing technique. This app is wonderful support for anyone who has or is starting a breath practice..Version: 5.7

Breathing zoneGreat app!.Version: 2.6

Love thisQuick meditation moments available anytime.Version: 3.1

EasySimple to use.Version: 4.5

Very simple and effectiveI suffer from reoccur-ant bouts of panic. With this app I have reduced attacks in severity and occurrence to a minimal, tolerable and manageable level within 10days of downloading. I only use it 1-2 times a day for 5-10 mins..Version: 1.7

CalmBrilliant for Tinnitus relief..Version: 5.7

Profiles, please!Using it every day. Kids love it too, helps them to slow down before bedtime. Please, add support for different profiles, so users could change the settings with a couple of touches..Version: 2.6

Great Stress RelieverThis is a great app! I feel so relaxed once I have used it. Very helpful..Version: 1.7

Brilliant, helps me center when I need a point of focus!Simple, to the point and very useful. This implementation feels nicer than the breathe experience on Apple Watch. Don’t care too much for the voices. I wish they were softer in tone and that there were more choices but turning it off with sound only is a perfectly acceptable solution..Version: 4.9.3

CalmingCleans out the stress from the brain and lungs. Need a quite meditative area. Excellent lung and brain exercise..Version: 2.6

TracyI have hyperventilation syndrome or HVS and was looking for ways to help me reduce my breath in take from 24 to 30 a minute to something more normal. At first I found the ap didn't work to well, but i was stressed both mentally and physically, and after a long time of breathing in correctly found it very hard to even drop to 14 breaths a minute (which is the highest setting for good reason, if you struggle to obtain that I suggest you look up HVS and talk to your doctor). However after doing progressive muscle relaxation techniques first, it's really started to work for me. I have learnt controlling your breathing is hard and is not the only step to relaxing. This ap has truly helped me and I would strongly recommend it to help in relaxation, even more so if you have a breathing disorder like myself. After using this my physio reckons I have become a star pupil!!!!!!!! Well worth the money I can breath again and at lot of the horrible symptoms that ruled my life previous have gone. Excuse the pun but this has given me a breath of fresh air!!.Version: 1.6

Please introduce HealthKit mindfulness tracking.Best breathing app out there. Used for years..Version: 4.5

Great guided breathing appI find this Guided Breathing app really well made and very simple to use. Highly recommend..Version: 2.3

Amazing, but dangerous, please consider:2 weeks ago I was admitted in hospital for hyperventilating/panic attacks. I felt like I had lost my mind. But I made sure I kept breathing. Three days ago, I felt such bad pains in my chest, almost as if I were having a heart attack. Controlling my breathing I managed to get help in time. I bought this app, it has been helping control my breathing. However, when both incidents happened I felt every moment. I have been recovering at my own pace with the help of medication for past three days. Although helpful, this app is not helpful for someone with a mental health problem, for instance, the app allows to slow down and relax to the point they are losing the oxygen they need in the body. If that person is weak, or psychotic, that can initially slow down and eventually stop them breathing. Please consider this. I've studied IT but never made iPhone apps properly. Please still stick a larger warning sign, and consider working with psychiatrists. They will be able to figure out exact months. I know it would be timings that's not dangerous. I know it has something to do with length of time the app has been used over a period of time with the purpose the customer bought the app. This allows you to give the right warning to the right user. This can be easily accomplished by just adding a simple form at the start of the app, questioning the customer how, where and why they intend to use the app. Some other minor changes can be done, but that's just being picky. I say all this, as I do suffer from such bad anxiety & depression, that I cannot continue my 2nd year degree in Computer Science. Hence why I thought to purchase an iPhone app 😅 It has been very helpful, Thank you @Gausika Twitter my new CV.Version: 2.6

Perfect way to come back to centerI've been using this app for a few years now and I think it's the most useful mindfulness app I've used. I always come back to it when I get bored of other meditation/mindfulness/calming apps. It is simple but flexible. I love it..Version: 3.1

Try it and relaxI had my doubts at first but now I'm a convert. This app has helped me with breathing and relaxation. I like its customised options - the best among the other apps currently in its class that I've tried. Try it, relax, enjoy!.Version: 1.6

Simple but effectiveVery simple to use but excellent benefits in calming (especially I’ve found during bereavement). Highly recommended..Version: 5.7

Very usefulThis app is really useful to assist in developing better breathing habits..Version: 1.7

Focused Elegant InexpensiveThis is a good app. Its web page doesn’t do it justice. If you want reminders, inspirational quotes, expert teachers, celebrities reading bedtime stories, or a community, then this app isn’t for you. This is an elegantly crafted app that offers four breathing patterns whose breath per minute rate and session duration - up to 1 hour - can be adjusted. There are options for voice, music or other sounds. You swipe between 3 screens: an activity monitor, settings, and the minimalist breathing space where there are no buttons; you simply tap to start or pause and long tap to end a session. At the end of your first session a popup will request access to the Health app to sync your session’s mindfulness minutes. I’ve been looking for ages for an uncluttered well designed breathing/meditation app that syncs to Apple’s Health app and doesn’t need a monthly subscription and doesn’t have ads. I can’t remember how many similar apps I’ve tried and deleted. I wasn’t sure about this as the information on the app store and its web page is fairly basic and the developer is not contactable to ask questions but it costs less than a cup of coffee so I took a risk. Very happy I did. Breathing Zone is my new app for daily controlled breathing and meditation sessions. If I can suggest any improvements, it would be to add options for breath pauses to the breathing patterns. And please keep the app’s simplicity..Version: 4.9.3

Solid appThe only app so far that keeps me on a regimented schedule doing breathing exercises. It has a couple of different exercises, so I can do different ones during the day. Love this app would strongly recommend.Version: 4.5

Works WellA simple app that allows customization. A great and FREE way to begin learning conscious breathing. Recommended..Version: 2.6

FANTASTIC!!! 😃I really love this app! It's perfect for reducing anxiety and regulating your breathing. And unlike meditation, you can feel comfortable using it anywhere, with your headphones in of course! I love the visual and the voice and the 'ding' combined. It's a great app and I would recommend it to anyone!.Version: 2.3

BreathingSimple easy and effective, no gimmicks or extra's so it does the job it's meant to do.Version: 1.7

Idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis just diagnosedI trained, some 50 years ago, as a singer. Music major with voice my primary instrument. So I know how to “belly breathe”. (I sang with the Oakland Symphony Chorus fir a couple of years after graduating.) Nevertheless, this simple and customizable app gives me reminder exercise in doing what I learned so long ago. Example: I have only had the app for three days, yet a 3-minute session took my blood oxygen from 91 up to a stable 99! I tried both voices then turned off voice cues. The pitched musical/ sound cues work very well for me. The selection of breathing patterns is limited but excellent, and the ability to select one’s own breathing rate renders the app infinitely adjustable. Thank you for this attractive and effective app!.Version: 5.7

Excellent appThis is exactly what I was looking for. Totally controls my breathing, bringing me down to a nice slow rate which helps in meditation no end. Thanks..Version: 1.7

Simple, minimal... Just what I wantedThis doesn't have the bells and whistles of some apps, but I kept coming back to this one. It's a breathing guide. In and out. I set it to below 4 breaths a minute to activate the sympathetic nervous system. I'd give it 5 stars if I didn't have to disable the lock screen to stop it from cutting out..Version: 2.6

Best breathing appI’ve reviewed all the meditation/deep breathing apps on the market and I always return to this on. Easy to use and no subscription, I’m really enjoying the app make over. The only thing more I could ask would be a watch companion app. I’d use this app on my watch over Apples mindfulness meditation app. They clearly just copied your amazing app.Version: 4.0

Love App. Family Sharing? This app is fabulous. I wanted to share it with my son, but it does not show up on any of my purchases. Is there a reason for this?.Version: 4.9.2

Guided breathingThis is a great app for slowing down anxious thinking when you are trying to go to sleep..Version: 3.1

Simplistic as NEEDEDI’m an advanced breathworker. I’ve tried many apps however this one serves my needs because of the simplicity. Somehow this whole “breathing” thing in the west has been blown up in many wrong ways. I see good things. Thank you for the Silence I was searching for. Namaste 🙏🏼.Version: 5.7

Part of my routineLove this app. Uncomplicated and perfect for quick, easy use..Version: 5.7

Helps with Panic AttacksA great app that helps with sudden panic attacks! I've used this for months and noticed a reduction in my anxiety as well as a fast way to help those quick bouts of panic or anxiety. Great app!!!.Version: 2.6

Pretty goodI think this is a very good app. I would like for the "guided sounds" to have more options. Maybe something like wind noises that fade in and out, or a harmonious breathing sound from someone who has good breathing technique. Also I'm not a huge fan of either of the guided voices. Soft British accents are something I know many people would enjoy..Version: 3.1

Amazing customer supportI was having problems with timing issues and I wrote a 1 star scathing review. The developer contacted me directly and is working to fix it and we’re 90% there but I didn’t want to wait to revise my review. He’s concerned and helpful and in the end this will be my favorite breathing app. I’m doing extensive breath practices or rather working hard to change from shallow breathing, so a good program is essential and I won’t do an expensive monthly subscription program. It shouldn’t be necessary. I highly recommend breath zone. If you use it regularly, it will change your life!!!.Version: 5.2

Nice startLet's make this simple, I'll list all the features this app DOESN'T have and you decide if those features are important to you. 1- Ability to customize or import sounds that let you know when to breath in and out. 2- Ability to adjust the breathing indicator volume relative to the volume of music you may have playing in the background on your iTunes or another app. 3- Ability to adjust the length of the inhale portion of the breath relative to the exhale eg: breath in for five seconds out for eight. As it stands, the inhale and exhale can only be the same length of time. 4- An option to have a hold at the top (inhaled) or bottom (exhaled) part of the breath. And with that, of course, the ability to customize the time length and sound indicator to go along with it. 5- ability to set the exact time you want your breathing session to go for rather than the current five minute intervals. 6- ability to set the length of time you need to get to your target breathing rate in any given breathing session. 7- a silent mode that doesn't also vibrate as there is already a so called "vibrate" mode. 8- More than one visual theme would be cool too. I still give this app four stars cause it's pretty and has potential and, to be honest there aren't any really good ones out there that I've found anyway..Version: 1.6

Helpful and easy to useI have used a variety of mindfulness and breathing apps. I like this one both for its simplicity and options. The app is straightforward with specific useful types of breath work but also allows to variety of speed, auditory cues, duration, and visual input. I have found it quite useful for personal use and for my students..Version: 4.9.2

Good but flawed...I am submitting this review after only having this very promising app on my iPhone 11 & Apple Watch S5 for a couple of days. Unlike a previous reviewer I find both the breathing rates available and the choice of accompanying sound effects very welcome and much appreciated. But my review title mentions the fact that I find this very good app “flawed”... That flaw for me is the omission to include the very important instruction how to breathe “correctly”, that is: Breathe in through the nose (filters and warms air before it enters the lungs), and breathe out through the mouth (expels carbon dioxide and unused oxygen from the lungs faster and more efficiently). As both a nurse and someone who prides himself on taking the best care possible of his health (including mental health which is helped greatly by “mindful breathing”) I welcome any tool I find genuinely useful into my healthcare toolbox... And this app is most definitely a very welcome addition to my armoury of weapons against ill-health, both physical & mental. Please app developers consider adding correct breathing tips in a future update. Thank you all giving us this genuinely useful and essential app, I am looking forward to many hours of calming breathing sessions using it..Version: 4.9.2

Beautiful and EffectiveI've tried a number of breathing apps and this one works best for me because it gives me something beautiful to focus on visually so that my thoughts don't wander, allowing my breathing exercise to be more meditative and emotionally calming..Version: 3.1

Simple & Effective. Excellent! This is a simple, paired down app that allows you to train your breathing and includes several different techniques, including 4-7-8. There are no ads, nothing requiring a continuing subscription, no nature sounds, meditations, bedtime stories, or other things that I really didn’t want. Perfect!.Version: 4.9.1
