There are also a lot of videos that come with it, more than enough to satisfy all beginners! I LOVE how the videos are short and to the point! ✓ Salsa lessons on the move - how fantasticAddicted to Salsa is excellent - Anthony you are such a good trainer and your podcasts are the best I've seen. My husband and I used your You Tube clips when we first started to learn Salsa. I started loading Addicted to Salsa via the itunes Podcast. Now having it on the iphone as an App is brilliant as it will automatically load up as they release new clips rather than finding and synchronizing via iTunes. I have just tested a couple of them out and they are very short unlike the podcasts so I hope they will release more combos shortly. The screen separates beginner, intermediate and advanced so you can select your level without any hassle. The other tabs are great, taking you to clips of live dancing. One additional feature that might be useful is some salsa music being available to load from this app. What affect this will have on my iphone battery life I don't know..Version: 0

It is expensive to take lessons but this tool has been maximizing the learning process for me so that I can get out on the floor without needing the stamp of approval from a "dancing institution"... Many of which insist that you need to go on "dancing excursions" with them to dance the "right way". I know that I will be using this on and off as I try to learn how to pull the moves off. ✓ Great salsa appBest to hit the stars and download all the videos via wifi. Then you've got them downloaded & don't need a decent (3G) signal to watch them. Giving an option to download all videos in one go would help. The effects of having a small app which doesn't contain the video vs big >100MB app that does. If they could break up the videos into side on, behind view, ad then hints/lead, etc that's be great. I love the fact that instead of having to install an app that is like +200MBs which videos I may not need, I can choose which videos I want to have on my device in order to practice by clicking on the 'star'. ✓ Fabulous darling!!This is a seriously good Salsa app. I've bought most if not all of the Latin dancing apps on the app store and this is easily the best one as it has great content which is often added to, is very complete as an application (can't really see how it could be improved), and has a particularly good UI. I've noticed a few bad reviews on here, but frankly as you'd expect there is a lot of video in this app so you are going to have to download that at some point! If you only have a wet piece of string for an internet connection, well, maybe this isn't the app for you, or in fact any app or website with video content. Maybe the developers could optimise the video some more but I doubt it. The videos can be downloaded and locally stored on the device (as well as streamed), so you only have to download them once. ✓ Really nice app for the salsa dancing lover..I really this application, because it summarizes very nicely most of the basic salsa steps with short videos that are crisp, clear and well done. The practice rythms are cool, because they allow dancers to practice moves without music and get familiar with the beats (I prefer music myself). Dont care too much about the salsa clip videos, but I guess many people that dance do enjoy this...I would prefer inclusion of more moves in the Lesson Library and also more combinations..For example, the Hammer Lock explanation is good, but then how do you get out of it? Nice to have a follow up..Also, the Copa video seems to be cut (only 20 secs of video instead of the 56 sec expected). Otherwise, fantastic idea, love this app..Version: 0

One walk in lesson is twice that and there are literally hours of instruction in the app, for me at least and I'm a beginner to intermediate dancer. I gave this four stars only because the iPhone version is better than the iPad version in terms of organization and features. The iPhone version has a great music feature that the iPad version could benefit from. The app features a collection of salsa moves organized by difficulty level (beginner, intermediate, advanced), and it makes a handy reference when you want to quickly look up a move or pattern. The app doesn't have too many videos yet, so hopefully they'll add more in the future. There's also a little music tool built in, which can be helpful in learning to recognize the different instruments and beats that go into a salsa song. For others that do the same, this application doesn't really apply: you're already too advanced. The moves on this app are very basic indeed and even the 'advanced' moved wouldn't belong with the intermediate patterns of the podcast. But for absolute beginners, this app is cheap and good. I love the easy way to present the figures and the sections, it was a good surprise the clips section. I will love, in the futur, see more detail in the figures, the video of footwork in the complicated figures, man and woman footwork, for instance. To the futur too, I will love to see videos in man style, what to do in 4 and 8 with the body for shinning the ladys. It is just the suggestions. ✓ Good, and would help if...Just starting back salsa after 2yrs and this has been a really useful reminder of some moves. The teaching is great. However on my phone it breaks the moves into basic, intermediate and expert and advanced but they seem to be very mixed between. What would be helpful is if the moves followed on from each other a bit more e.g. From the right hand position you could do these, left these, arms crossed right over left etc. or to do a short combination but talk through a variety of options to link that you can go off and do. There are a few locked 'packs' you can pay further for but I am uncertain about paying more for these if they are just as random?.Version: 3.1

✓ Best salsa app there isI downloaded all the salsa apps I could find and this one was by far the best. Efficient short lessons, though some start from a position other than the basic (arms crossed or something) I guess to save time, but I'd prefer all of them to start and end with the basic. It's "on 1" and I dance "on 2" but I can still learn, though it'd b ideal 2 have more on 2 lessons. A little more detail about preparing 4 each move (how to communicate w my hands when the girl doesn't know the move in advance) would b great, but once again that would take more time and maybe I'm just a perfectionist. ✓ Temporary Freezing solutionTo bypass the freezing problem when you play the lessons, it is best if you press the star button beside the lesson to save it offline. Once saved, then press the lesson and it plays without a problem. To Remove it from a offline mode just press the star again. You can easily use this with a partner by you both watching the video, and trying what you are learning with some music and maybe a long mirror. The moves are broad, and many different subjects are covered. ✓ Great content - App bugs need workReally like this App. Content is easy to find and broken down into practical chunks. Instructors are very good too. Have had problems with the clips though. Using Wifi sometimes it convinces itself there is no Internet and does not play clips (even though Safari and email etc are working fine). Can also get hung up in a black screen. Sometimes killing the App from the tray works others needs a complete iPhone reset. But great work overall..Version: 0
