✓ Used to be GreatI made the mistake of updating the app, and all the normal functions of the app became in-app purchases. I had already paid for the app and now I had to pay more for the same functionality, ridiculous. Also, the app never really worked the same after that. It used to deliver top-quality audio, with pro controls and recording options; I even used it to record audio for a pro video shoot with a lav mic; it was a great option if you run out of lavs. Unfortunately, I can no longer use it professionally. I switched to TwistedWave, and even the apple voice memos app is pretty good now. I wish this app was what it used to be..Version: 10.3.5
✓ Uploading files is an issueI use this for my coaching sessions. What I like is the sound level indicator. No need to check the recording. The point of attention: if your battery dies during your recording, it is not saved and you loose the recording. I bought the audio booster and it's brilliant. What I really don't like is that there no option to save the files using a cable. Uploading to Dropbox is sometimes impossible. Once this issue is solved this will be a five star app.Version: 8.0.1

✓ Recording fails on use w/ SkypeI read online reviews that said this app could be run in the background to record Skype calls if I was using speaker mode so other persons voice could be picked up by mic. However, after running several tests it appears the recording terminates once the Skype call is connected, or if started after call begins it looks like it has not been started when I go back to the recorder app after the call. ✓ Needs Re-tooling & Better UI ManagementI once truly loved this app. It’s a shame that it has declined in my opinion over the last few years. Firstly, the app icon is horrendous. It was once detailed with hints of red and other detail. Now, that is just cosmetic, the app fails in it’s UI. ✓ Needs workI use this app a lot, because I like it and it does a good job at recording. I even bought a few addons. But there is a bug which is really problematic!! Often some recordings get "lost" apparently because the app fails to save them correctly so they are not shown in the list, even though they are stored in the disk. This happens often if I quit the app by mistake while recording, or when using the "trim" function. The only way I have to access the incorrectly-stored files is by using a Mac app like "Diskaid". I rated 2 stars because this is a CRITICAL problem. Please fix this bug and I'll give it 5 stars. As a programmer I would suggest, on startup, check got files which haven't been "closed", close them and refresh the list. 3 other suggestions: A - Please add "save all in Dropbox" option. It's a pain to have to go through ALL files after many recordings. Either this or a "Auto-sync all recordings to Dropbox" option B - Please add " already saved in Dropbox" flag to recordings which have already been backed up in Dropbox. Sometimes in the process of backing up recordings I backup recordings twice by mistake. Just a flag will do. C - If "Edit" mode only deletes, better call it "Delete" D - In "Edit" mode, the "Cancel" button only makes sense if we either just opened it, or have a pending action. After deleting files, it should change to "Done". Then show "Cancel" again if we selected files again but haven't yet deleted them. Thanks!.Version: 7.2

I was wearing my headset during a Skype interview, could perfectly hear all the voices loud and clear; unfortunately the app was able to capture only my voice. To buy this app, I've paid £1.49. That isn't much, if the app gives me a quality boost from the stock app I will be happy. Heck, if it costs a tenner, but is significantly better then I'd be smiling. If I turn off the recorders access to the mike ( in settings) on my phone it saves the battery life. This means that each time I want to use the app I have to go into the settings to turn it back on. (This issue may be linked fact that files do not sync between devices, but I don’t find that a problem per se.) I bought this app back in the days of iPad 2. ✓ You had one job...Fancy features are nice - though paying for them piecemeal in an already-purchased app much less so - but the one thing a recorder absolutely must do is reliably record. I bought the app specifically to record an important meeting. 10 minutes in my PhD new range - as phones will. I checked the app and it still showed as recording. It has a good choice of options to buy, however it is sorely missing an option for Voice Activation. And we should have the option in the UK to use recorders without the stupid flashing red banner saying “Recording”.
