✓ A joke!Phish inc ruined this already terrible app and removed the only redeeming feature. At least before we got to listen to the most recent show as the featured show but now that is gone. Phish now expects us to pay 99$ a year just to have that feature back and have stream access to mostly 3.0 shows. What a joke! ✓ Please improve navigation and playlist editingObviously the best music—this review has nothing to do with the music, just the app. It’s gotten better, but still clunky. Would be better if the menu was consistent whether you’re in “browse,” “playlists,” etc. Developers: to see what I mean, browse to tours, summer 18, for example, then to a playlist, then back to summer 18. It’s like 10 steps in each direction. I love the big jams, so I’ve been making a lot of playlists. They’re hard to edit, even from the computer/website. Adding sorting functions like “sort by date” and “move to top” would be amazing!!! Also, the ability to remove a song from a playlist “on the go” would be a nice bonus. The other suggestions would be better though. Strangely, if you’re streaming and you get/make a phone call, after the call the track starts over. Not a big deal if you’re listening to a band that plays 3-minute songs. But not ideal when you’re 25 minutes into a track. I would also add a function where you can see all videos. But that would just be icing on the cheesecake..WonderueVersion: 3.3.20

✓ Good but could use improvementThe app is great as a tool for accessing all the Live Phish content. I like that it synced with my old Live Phish account and My Stash from years ago is still available. Playback is good with no interruptions. I noticed a glitch when browsing the shows that when I open a show to view the info and then click backwards only part of the original list shows up (for example if I’m browsing by year I only see a few shows not the full list) which means I have to reload the search again - it seems insignificant but gets annoying very quickly. Also I would love to see a “favorite” function added so I could see a list of my favorite shows to go through instead of making individual playlists..Floppity DooVersion: 3.3.20

✓ Update Please!!!!Needs major bug fixes. Incredible concept, but desperately needs an update. Never works right for more than a song or two. UPDATE: 5 years later this app is still awful. Stops streaming effectively after 1-2 songs. Have to close out app and go back in. Additional problem is that now you're forced to use it to stream the shows you went to (included in ticket price). Bring back the MP3s of shows or update the app. Almost nobody is going to pay $9.99 JUST to listen to Phish content when the app is this buggy, and your fans feel ripped off..Pharcyd00Version: 3.0

✓ NopeI buy all my phish albums via iTunes. I downloaded this because my music teacher recommended Mike Gordon’s solo albums. 1st thing I see is it ask to send me notifications & NOPE. Second it wants log in information & again NOPE. If that means I don’t get to hear Mike Gordon then I guess I don’t need to hear Mike Gordon. Part of music is the discovery & you put up log in’s & a pay wall so I can’t even discover Mike Gordon. Is that what Mike Gordon wants to be about? Phish will be fine because they are established & easy to find however I can’t find Mike Gordon solo albums anywhere so how good can it really be if I’ve only heard 1 music teacher ever mention it. ✓ LivePhish App - PhingerlingI’m a big Phan of what they are trying to do here. I’d even consider paying the subscription fee. I think it’s a little pricey for what you get right now. But If they can get the streaming more reliable and the functionality more intuitive, this has potential to be a solid app. Currently, the buffering between songs is not conducive to a true Phish experience. Navigation to and through My Stash should be easy and seamless. It is not. Once this app has the reliability and functionality that is comparable to the Spotify’s and Pandora’s out there, well... ✓ Great concept, poor execution...The app is decent. It was a great idea, and if some of the small bugs are worked out, I would give 5 stars, but as is, only 2! The main issues with the app are: If you take a call mid-way through listening to a song, the app closes... And then when your call ends, the same song starts at the BEGINNING. There is no way to save your place, it's always at the start of a new song. With phish, and some long jams/songs, it would be ideal to have some kind of control of either resuming or seeking to a location. For $3.99 you would expect nothing less..Darsh420Version: 1.2

✓ Poor sound mixI don’t know what the sound engineer has been doing the last few years but the mix is terrible, every venue sounds like a tin can. The bass is so low and muddled I wonder if Mike is still touring with the band? ✓ You guys. This app is not good. Like, at all.Have had this app for almost two years and have the normal paid subscription. Totally dig Phish. Not getting rid of it anytime soon because my playlist game is on point. But take a step back... take the music out of it for a sec... the functionality of this app that costs 10 bucks a month (!!!) is atrocious. Like, it’s so bad relative to other music streamers/services that are free. Highway robbery! It’s glitchy, search ability is poor, some shows don’t always download. ✓ ShameReally a shame that the best band has literally the worst app ever. How can something as simple as playing music be so difficult? This thing constantly has issues from skipping and loading to picking up on a song where it left off to just using simple play and pause controls. It’s no surprise as the back end software is nugs, which is just as atrocious. Good thing I have never given a cent to this because it’s not even worth that. PS thanks for taking away shows in my stash that I PAID FOR and now can only listen on app (which i never use for reasons above) and not even on desktop. Come on!.PcribariVersion: 3.4.7

✓ Barcodes/StashThe new digital ticket age is making it complicated for heads to get their shows in their stash. Also, why not give people the stubs anyway? It’s the most valuable keepsake from the experience. Last but not least, why can’t we stash TAB shows?.ThemanonthesceneVersion: 4.0.2

✓ Great concept, failed executionWonderful app concept however the application is clunky and disfunctional. It is EXTREMELY slow and FULL of bugs that go unaddressed for long periods of time. After creating a support ticket, I got no followup or response until I prodded, at which point they said they couldnt replicate the issue. There was no sincere effort made to help resolve the issue or wrong the right. Clearly their customer service pefers to take w defensive position over assisting paying customers when they do not deliver a working application as promised. Read all of the reviews and you will see this pattern of bland and insincere customer service emails with zero infrastructure or capability to fix or evolve the app. As someone who works in software, the ux, unaddressed bugs, and shoddy functionality make the subscription price a huge rip off. Oh and the app eats tons of battery so if you have an older phone good luck with that..BluthCorpVersion: 3.1

✓ App Quality is less than desirable.Thankfully I have an addiction to the music, otherwise I’d trash this app. It takes forever to load when I’m connected to Bluetooth. When I am connected to my HomePod, I can only get one song to play at a time and have to jump back in to the app to play the next song of a show...even then it will just stop playing. The song titles on the home screen are never accurate and there’s a limit to the number of offline playlists I can store. The music is way better than the engineering. Y’all make SO much money off of us, why not spend a little more to get some decent engineering?.KesslejdVersion: 3.3.1

✓ Close but…Two glaring bits of this app are incongruous with how the Phish community appreciates Phish’s music. They’ve frustrated me for years with this app… 1) You can hear breaks in the music as one song segues into another. There shouldn’t be any clip, blip or break, but there often is. Bummer. Fans don’t like being told when something is about to happen, so boo. 2) The only place December comes between January is in playlists. Why do you alphabetically list shows by spelled month name?! ✓ Great band, stupefying bugsEvery time Phish goes on tour I subscribe to this app and by the middle of tour I’m frustrated that they still haven’t addressed the bugs. Whenever I play over Bluetooth or WiFi, I have to hit play after every song. And it’s supposed to remember where I left off when I leave the app, yet it never happens. I have to browse my way through the menus to find the show and song I was listening to. I’d probably play this app constantly if it wasn’t so frustratingly buggy..JrlmusicVersion: 3.3.10

✓ Poorly functioning app- I would subscribe if it worked properly.I would use this app all the time, being a complete Phish addict, however every single time I use it, it has an issue with restarting songs. I’ll be listening to a show, and might be ten minutes into a song/jam, when for no reason the song will restart. This is on an updated iPhone, and I had the exact same issue on my old iPhone also. For this reason I will not pay to subscribe. If I knew it would work correctly, I would pay for the subscription, but not when it is essentially unlistenable. And yes, I had tried deleting and reinstalling it. Many times. Get it together Nugs! It’s not enough that we now have to pay $25 to webcast a show, the app does not function as intended. Given Phish’s status, I would think this app would work as intended. Just deleted it again for the same issue- I won’t be reinstalling it. I’ll get my shows from another source.
