✓ Liking the older version betterAs I love this app, I wish that some things were different. As it stands, I like the older version of the app WAY better than the newer version. The older version was easier to navigate and operate than the newer version. I wish that this app had automatic scrolling when you listen to the audio Bible being read. It would be nice to read along with the audio reader as they read without having to manually scroll the screen to keep up. This version is not easy to go from one book of the Bible to the next, or chapter and verse. The older version was simpler in that regard. I also liked the screen display better with the older version. The older version was just better in my opinion. I wish apps would allow a person to preview what the update would be before they click on “update”. Or at lease pick if they want certain things changed, and maybe go based on what the feedback is to get better results. Also, it would be nice to have an option to un-install an apps updates if you weren’t pleased with it. I Love God and I Love His Word!! Thank you for providing this app and for listening. ✓ A few glitchesI’d love to rate this app higher but there are so many glitches in regards to playback (takes 5min to load audio). I use this app purely to listen to the Bible while driving, so if it doesn’t load & play Bible audio it defeats its purpose for me. If the team could please fix the streaming issue.Version: 3.3.6
✓ Need for improvementFinally I can hear the Bible in my native language (Kituba from Congo and other dialects) praise be to God and thank you to BIBLE IS team. And the dramatise version makes it even more appealing . Job well done. Unfortunately The app is good but it crashes very often and would refuse to work most of the time. ✓ Too slowThis was a great app. Now, 2020, it is too slow and it is difficult to get around. Why do you have to go to a different menu just to change from Old Testament to New Testament? I used to Bible drill with a persons phone/pad and a Bible book, and this app was very fast. Now if I try to use this at church the text is not found soon enough before the pastor has moved on to new text leaving you struggling(waiting due to loading issues)to get to that one, and bottom line you miss the message and have been distracted by a phone/pad! Not good changes! Please consider removing these changes. Also this was so easy for my children as young as four to open, turn on, and listen to Bible before. Now five and having difficulty finding the correct section( menu) to get to the the books, then having to select OT or NT and then he ends up leaving the pad laying because it is stuck in loading. Resulting in No Bible was listened to. You ask yourself is that what you wanted? What happened to the non drama/music KJV. It doesn’t say that when you select it, but that is what it is, distracting music/dramaish style. More options please..Version: 3.1.0
✓ Bible isThe app itself is very good, but the problem is is it just crashes all the time, and it’s so frustrating you could be in the middle of the Bible for a year and halfway through it crashes , only having to start all the way from the beginning again, apart from that it’s very good, but it’s very frustrating because it literally crashes all the time..Version: 3.3.7
✓ DownloadingA big problem every time your iPad or phone updates the whole Bible needs to re downloaded and this takes all day. Why did the old version have to change never used to be so non user friendly. Love Gods word as can listen with earphones. Good when walking and going to bed. ✓ Great to listen, not very user friendly.I absolutely love listening and the plans are fantastic as well! Although, I have found the app is quite glitchy, that’s the best word I can use to describe. I’m doing the “Bible in a Year” plan and even though I’m on Day October 28, yes I’m behind, when I open the app to go to the next day it always brings me back to October 15. I’ve tried changing the translation I’m listening to and the screen just turns black or it doesn’t change after I’ve selected a different translation. If I get a phone call while listening it won’t play where I left off. I have to close the app and completely restart that chapter I was on. You can’t fast forward or rewind either. My favorite translation is New King James, which I feel is pretty popular, and that translation is not an option. So that is a little disappointing..Version: 3.3.0
✓ No Wi-fi?I downloaded this app so that I could listen to the Bible while I am doing chores or out driving about. At first everything worked smoothly, but after awhile it started giving me he “no-wi-fi detected” message and wouldn’t work at all. I thought maybe an update was necessary, so I looked and gave it the update I found. Still no luck. My son uses the wi-fi hotspot on my phone to play games on his iPad, so I know the issue is not with my phone. I have unlimited data with my phone plan, so I’m really frustrated that I have to connect to a portable wi-fi hotspot device to use this app on my phone! Very frustrating. UPDATE: I never hit send on that 2 years ago! Lol I have learned that I can download before I go (if I remember) so that I can get my fill of the Word on road trips now. It seems to be better about not getting stuck while on the road these days. Overall, it’s handy to have this app on hand..Version: 3.5.3
✓ Could be awesomeThe app keeps shutting down, without warning or reason, while using it. I have to keep restarting the app and relocating the part of the chapter I was reading. Scrolling through the text doesn’t synchronise with the audio. This was a great app when I first began using it. Over the years it has become less and less reliable. Such a shame. ✓ Forced to rate to continue useThe app WAS great. And I give it a thumbs up and five stars for continent, of course. It used to be really nice when it was simple, it was easy to read and listen to without all the fuss, and bells and whistle‘s. But I do have to say ever since they updated this app, it’s really hard to use and glitchy. It’s definitely not as user-friendly for the older crowd. Not that I’m ancient or anything, i’m only 45; but my mother uses the app also and she could no longer even do anything with it because she can’t see anymore to operate it because it’s too busy. The latest issue is that it now has forced me to rate the app… I did not even have an option to do it later or say no thank you or anything, it’s just forcing me to rate it in order to continue using it; so here we go, here is the rating. ✓ Unable to stop audioHello first of all thanks for the effort, the app looks promising, but for the life of me I can’t stop the audio. Both on iPad and iPhone. The pause button simply doesn’t work and sometimes sporadically changes its state (playing/stopped). This is happening in the audio view. When I back out of it, the play/stop bar at the bottom doesn’t always appear, so no way to stop the audio. Pls investigate, would really love for this to work thanks.Version: 3.4.4
✓ Love it but often the audio doesn’t playI love this app and I want to use it to listen to the whole Bible. It makes it interesting and is not boring to listen to. It would not put you to sleep or be so boring that your mind wanders. This is because they use different voices in music and lots of dynamics. My problem with it is that often it will only play one chapter for me and the next chapter just never can load or play. I am very frustrated with this. I am trying to listen to it at home in the mornings with my satellite Wi-Fi. I hope the producers can do something to fix it or maybe the problem is on my side -I don’t know but I’m about to look for a different Bible to listen to because this I don’t have time in the mornings to fiddle with this every day and that makes me sad because I really like it and wanted to listen to the entire Bible..Version: 2.9.20
✓ Bible Is AudioThanks for this. I love it when it fully works! However it’s constantly stopping the highlighted/moving texts. The audio is fine! The highlighted paragraphs don’t move along! I constantly need to try rebooting the iPhone 11 and when the app still doesn’t work I delete the app and download yet again! Pretty frustrating! Is it fixable please???.Version: 3.6.8
✓ Used to be incredibleI have used this app for many years, and it was phenomenal, but with the latest upgrades it is become almost worthless. I use it as part of my daily Bible reading plan by listening to various versions of the Bible and never had a problem with it in the several years I used it, but since this upgrade I have yet to even have one day in the last few months where I have not had to clear the app from memory and restart it to be able to have the audio version to start working. Many days it takes six or seven or more restarts before I can get through three or four chapters of the Bible. More often than not it requires a restart after each chapter. I have even let the app buffer to see if it would load on its own to no avail, even after 30 minutes of buffering it still doesn’t loads the audio for this app. A very major frustration. ✓ Sorry to have to goI used to give this a 5 but as of Aug 2020 I have decided to find a new APP. I’m not a tech wiz but with these new changes you need to be. I’ve been using this App since 2014. Haven’t used for a few months and went back to find such drastic changes it is unusable. I spend all the time I have just figuring out how to do anything. Found one info page by accident. When I went out of it to try something it didn’t work and now can’t find the page. After 2 weeks of off and on fustration I find I need to spend more time praying about temper, bad attitude, and short tempers instead of reading the word and having a time of peaceful prayer Hope this app is a blessing to many. God may have some techies out there who love to play with an app. Hope this works for you. Unfortunately bad timing for me as I’m going to be in the hospital in a couple weeks and no longer have an easy to use app for my stay. I wish we were given options to change. ✓ Falling StarsFor years this app has been a 5 star daily lifeline to the Bible and many great features but recent upgrades especially the current one May 2020 has taught me that developers are not acting prudently. In a past upgrade simple problems began to emerge like searches causing program crashes and the removal of features that didn’t make any sense were in explicable and no replies to my attempts to reach out. Now, such a trend accelerates to unacceptable levels as the most recent upgrade has been disastrous for me. Frequent crashes, freezes and difficulty navigating forced me to use the browser version (which is better in some ways and worse in others). I tried the typical fixes to no avail. The only reason I didn’t give a 1 star rating here is out of my respect and deep appreciation for how this app served me in the past. This review could be so much longer if I went into detail on specifics. I’m just so disappointed as I loved this app and now struggle to use it at all let alone on a daily basis as I have in the past (since the most recent update). ✓ New Version login needs to identify that you need to join or create a new accountI used this app every day. With this last update If i use my Facebook login it says “these credentials do not match our records”. If i use my email address it says “these credentials do not match our records”. If i use my google email account it says “these credentials do not math our records”. The real issue was that i had not created an account. The app should communicate that “you have not setup an account”. The new format of the app is a huge change from the original i understand. My husband wishes they would have added verse advance as the scripture is read. Just to change the look of the interface and not giving the correct response to missing account information is poor. ✓ A disaster!Of all upgrades I’ve seen on an app this is the very worst and I’m deeply sad for the Kingdom of God . I can no longer recommend this ap where previously I would have given it 5 stars All the simplicity has been totally removed. Before You could just open it and read immediately, you could highlight verses easily, not have a black background, you could vary the text size and high light it better The dramatised version of the old is far better than the new one with its awful sound affects. ✓ QuirkyI love the content of this app but I find it very quirky to use. It takes a long time to open the app even if it has gone to sleep. It is an audio Bible but the playback controls disappear right after you hit play and you need to scroll to get them to reappear. Sometimes they won’t reappear and you have to close and reopen the app which is time consuming. I have downloaded a version in the past which took several days even though I was in WiFi. Then an update of the app came through and the app can no longer find my download. I haven’t downloaded it again because I don’t want it to take days and then just lose it with the next update all the while taking up big chunks of memory. I will still use this app but it is frustrating. And one more item, I am having trouble posting the comment because all the nick names are taken..Version: 3.4.2
✓ For years this was my go to bible app...I don’t usually write reviews but I felt the need to point this out in the hopes that the developers would consider what I and many other recent reviews are saying. I understand that we feel the need to “improve” or add features to products as time goes on to make us feel relevant. More bells and whistles or perhaps monetization strategies have caused major issues with the performance of this app. It crashes often and doesn’t navigate as well. When you reach for the Bible and you can’t quickly access it, it often becomes a lost opportunity to get the spiritual food you are needing. This app was amazing and made it simple and easy to access the word of god. Additional features can be nice for some things but i believe god already put all the features into the word that we need. It is up to the developers to choose the direction and priorities of their product, I wish them well..Version: 3.2.0

✓ New update completely destroyed it !I used to love this app. The best feature was ability to listen to the bible in offline mode. That used to work without any problem until the most recent (revamped update )3.0 onwards. Now it’s just a broken app !!! Since then I lost all my Downloaded bible audio and had to re-download again. And as if this was not enough, the app is now very very slow , not responsive . It doesn’t start playing unless internet connection is on and it stops after one chapter even if the timer is still running with plenty of time left !!! I really wish you did not ruin this once was a great app. Now it just doesn’t do what it was supposed to do. I’m afraid if you won’t fix it I’ll have to remove and use another app..Version: 3.0.1
✓ Massive accessibility issues VoiceOverIn order for this application to be accessible with voiceover, three things need to be done. The media player icon is not visible to the screen reader user very easily without having to essentially weasel through the window. The way that the design is unfortunately does not permit voiceover users to find easily the option to play because everything is all combined into one window. We will need to make final adjustments to that. One app you might use as a reference for how you might want to design is the Bible Gateway app. Their player is a separate window by itself. And then you can adjust the audio player that you choose. I suggest this as an idea because unfortunately when you have a design such as this it is not very user-friendly. No I have heard from many people that visually the application looks nice and very well organized. But the downside is unfortunately voiceover users will not be able to use this app very efficiently, without having to as I said deal with things getting in the way such as the screen at the far right-hand side where the welcome text is. This app looks like it’s more designed for tablets as opposed to phones. But it’s designation. As I said unfortunately I did not see a player icon, there was a download icon. But there is not an actual play button. Where you could actually play the audio. Unfortunately anyway. If you need further suggestions, let me know..Version: 2.9.9
✓ Annoying odd bugsBugs: 1. The app plays multiple sessions of the same chapter in an overlapping sequence. I’m playing Genesis 9 and it’s playing two sessions simultaneously, with one overlapping the other. 2. The play interface crashes ever so often and has to “relaunch”. The audio keeps playing, but the app says the interface encounters a problem and needs to relaunch. I don’t even know how that works. 3. I have played the chapters for a particular day 3-4 times and the app still hasn’t marked any of the chapters as played. 4. The app should be able to continue from the last played point. I paused a chapter, came back to the app after some time and the page seemed to have bookmarked my last played position, only to press play and it started from the beginning of the first chapter for the day. All progress lost and I couldn’t even pick up where I left off. I tried fast-forwarding, but this didn’t work. The app just played an overlapping new session. Suggested Improvements: 1. Let the app give the user the option to play the next day’s chapters automatically, without needing to go back to the app. The option to do this should be hands-free. I could be cooking, in the shower or driving, and wanting to listen nonstop. But, as it is, I have to take a break, go the app and go to the next day’s chapters to press play..Version: 3.5.3
✓ This WAS a beautiful tool for audio bibleI rarely write reviews and do this with charity knowing your ministry’s incredible work in so many ways. But this app is now more headache than it’s worth. I had many versions of audio bibles downloaded and used them regularly in this apps earlier versions. It had to be offline because our rural location hasn’t got bandwidth for online listening. I could download them at rare intervals when able and listen later. Then it upgraded and all the downloads were gone AND it was extremely time consuming, confusing, and complicated to try to get even one book of any bible downloaded after 4 or more attempts to sign up and sign in. Remember the adage that LESS IS MORE. I don’t want music, videos, stories, playlists, plans, or suggestions. I want Jesus, the Word of God and you’ve made Him harder to find in your app. Please prayerfully consider that. Your medium just got in the way of the message..Version: 3.1.1
✓ This app was good until the 2020 updateFor the last 2 years I’ve been using this app it’s been amazing I loved that I could download my bibles from home and listen to them wherever but in 2020 this app has updated into the worst bible app ever it’s still suitable for Christians and still able to download your bibles but what the developers focused more on is how the app looked not how it works first of all I installed my bible so I can listen to it offline but when I had no WiFi with me I opened up the app to log in with my correct login and it wouldn’t log me in however i then connect myself to WiFi using the same login as before and it logged me in straight away so tell how does that work the reason we installed these bibles is because we wanted to know we could be anywhere but still listen to gods word but instead we still have the bibles installed but can’t log in if there’s no WiFi about so you can be anywhere but won’t be able to get your bibles up if there’s no WiFi to log in i mean really it’s a bit dumb considering the last 2 years this app was working fine ..Version: 3.0.1

✓ Glitch X 10I’m away from home so I downloaded the kjv old and New Testament on my new iPhone before I left my wifi. After listening for several days, I shut my cell off and when I turned it back on Bible.is app required a login. After logging in, I went to the Bible only to find that the app deleted both the new and Old Testament. I understand that I have the free version of the app, but now it’s going to cost me data to get some of it back. I would consider a paid app if it was not as glitchy as bible.is This app often locks, reads the chapter heading twice as it tries to catch-up with itself… I often reset the cashe and that sometimes helps for awhile. Love the Word, Appreciate the voice narration, but not fond of the app programmers..Version: 3.10.5
