Busuu: Language Learning for Positive User Reviews

GreatBusuu is a very solid language learning app in comparison to it’s competitors! Busuu offers great access for users who aren’t paying and actually goes into depth about grammar and sentence structure rather than just throwing vocab at you. Definitely my favourite language learning app! My only wish is that there was a wider range of languages because I was really looking into learning Norwegian and German but unfortunately there are no Norwegian courses yet..Version: 27.1.0

Great learning tool for my Japanese studyAs an avid Duo Lingo user before this, I find Busuu so much easier for learning. Every time a new word/phrase/number etc is introduced there is information breaking down why it is used and for what purposes which makes understanding sentence structures and why certain things are used so much easier. I also love that they teach both formal and informal words at the same time, so you learn the polite way to say things but also the more casual spoken language too. They also include interesting facts about the culture!.Version: 26.4.0

THIS APP MAKES LEARNING ADDICTIVEI’m a native english speaker and i’ve tried multiple apps in an attempt to learn japanese since my dream has always been to open a bakery there, with a certain owl app everyone’s been booing in this reveiw section it was overwhelming and much more difficult then it should have been, the lessons were random and didn’t start at the basics,i barely ever finished a lesson since it was so overwhelming. but two days in to this app i’ve already surpassed daily goals 225 stars out of my 20 star goal, gotten to chapter 3 and i can’t stop myself from being excited throughout school thinking about opening the app on the bus, it’s super easy and the lessons are structured well. little encouraging hints and explanations they have before and after each lesson are so helpful. the lessons are easy to follow and don’t stress me out at all, not being able to afford the premium also doesn’t slow down my work speed since it still allows me to complete lessons with the exception of just an add before the lesson start!!! it’s repetitive and makes memorizing easy with short lesson clips and pictures! i love this app so much i really suggest getting it!.Version: 27.3.0

Busuu is the best.Busuu is by far the best site for learning French. What a pity it does not continue beyond B2 and thus after one year it loses a lot of it’s value. Busuu Premium is essential and very good value as Busuu Free is too limited. Once you have used Busuu Premium, Duolingo seems awkward and obsolete..Version: 27.12.0

Surprisingly helpful and efficient!I love how easy it is to use, and how amazing the community is. The lessons are designed very well and the app is extremely easy to use. Just pick a language you want to learn and let the app guide you the whole way through. It’s pretty straight forward and eventually you will be familiar and hopefully fluent in whatever chosen language. I strongly suggest you try out the community feature where you can find people to help you, correct your mistakes, ask for feedback, and even socialize. It’s incredibly easy to find people and make friends. I’ve been using this app for a few days to learn French and I have already learned about 60 words. The ONLY con I can think of is that during lessons you are required to listen to a voice saying words and phrases. This could potentially be a problem because sometimes it can be hard to hear what word or phrase they are saying, especially when they talk too fast. Other than that, everything works like a charm. I don’t ever write reviews but I thought I should praise a high quality app that actually helped me accomplish something. Honestly, it is quite fun learning a new language even if you aren’t serious in becoming fluent, and that’s where this app really shines... it makes it FUN and NOT boring to learn. Anyways, I love this app and I think it’s a great tool to pass the time and learn a new language fairly easily..Version: 19.3.0

FantasticappI’ve always been interested in learning as many languages as I can whilst I’m still young. I’ve tried many apps and none quite this helpful. I also love how they teach you necessary introduction skills first whilst others start teaching you about house colours. Even though I have not gotten premium I still learn a lot from this. Absolutely recommend.Version: 15.4.0

It’s a very good app to learnVery useful I have only use 4 days to learn half of the language I want to learn.Version: 27.14.0

Almost perfectI download this app to learn Japanese. It has a review section where you can practise your vocabulary and grammar. However, after finishing 1st level of the Japanese lesson, I notice that there is no progress with the grammar practice and grammar review. I've been doing the same practice over and over again. Also, I found one lesson has the wrong translation. It could be confusing for some people. Other than that, this app is perfect, the lessons are easy to understand..Version: 25.3.0

It’s the best language learning app!I tried a few language apps over the years but this is the best one. It’s the only one I found that gives you a test at the beginning to see your level (yes, you can also choose your level without taking a language test). It pairs learning new words with testing the vocabulary you just learned so the words sit with you more easily. The app it’s very well made and the words and phrases are very helpful and you can easily use them in real life, something that I haven’t seen in Duolingo, for example..Version: 22.4.0

Like the app form of a high school classThis app is OK, and I’ll share my favorite aspects first—the community and the certifications. The community is phenomenal. I can speak or write answers to prompts and get non-judgmental feedback quickly. I can also do the same for English-learners, and people are gracious to share and learn. I also like that there’s an integration with McGraw Hill to actually earn certifications, which I can use professionally. But this app is essentially a high school text book. I can’t see or ask WHY something is incorrect, the voice recognition exercises feels disingenuous, I’m marked incorrect for small errors/mistaken keys, and the prompts recycle pretty quickly. To me, it even looks like a book that they would issue in high school from a design perspective. Like other users, I also use Duolingo to supplement my learning, and I think Duo is more intuitive in recognizing what I’m doing well and what I need to work on. Duo’s A/B testing clearly makes a difference. The UI on Duo is also much cleaner. I pay for both apps (both bought annual plans on RIDICULOUS sales), and I am glad that I did so in my pursuit to learn French/Spanish, but this is very clearly not an app that will help everyone with that journey..Version: 24.5.1

It’s pretty good, better than I was expectingIt was good just would appreciate a bit more accessibility for us poor folk 😂👍.Version: 15.2.0

Really entertaining way to learn frenchThis program was reviewed by the site days "days of french and sweedish - That site rated it very highly and so I began to use the site more intensively. I was most impressed. My french has come forward really well and i am so entertained by the presentations that I sometimes spend more than one hour "doing french"..Version: 24.7.0

Brilliant app Easy to use!The app is brilliant! Made it easy to start learning a new language, I find it much more effective than other apps such as duo lingo and memrise. I like how you get tasks to write a response to that other users can correct, and that you can go back and do lessons and review words. I love how it also provides useful phrases that you can use in everyday situations rather than what you would learn at school to pass a test. I also like how you can choose how advanced you want to proceed to, and the percentage fluency that you have achieved. It would be 5 star if it allowed to to open conversations with other users so you can converse in the language you are learning or help them in your native language etc..Version: 22.3.0

好评!!比多邻国难度更高,更注重语法教学.Version: 27.35.0

Already started speaking SpanishIt almost has been a little more than a week but I have already started making basic sentences which I wasn’t able to do with Duolingo somehow. I’m really enjoying this app every morning. I like to tell you a little bit more about this app. There are exercises not every but after every four or five lessons where you have to answer to an open question in Spanish where later natives give you corrections and can be friends with you. There is another useful part where you can review all the words, phrases, and grammars at one place. I always had a hard time reviewing and remembering words with Duolingo - my only experience learning language was with Duolingo I’m not trying to talk bad about it - I’m not an expert and still consider that Duolingo is not bad, you can still enjoy and have a warming community there. But here the speed of learning is much more faster which will give you a motivation and boost to learn more. Thanks for all the Busuu team members and keep up the good work..Version: 22.4.0

Better than the owlWay better than Duolingo.Version: 27.36.0

Fun and effectiveI have only used this app for a few days (premium pro version) and must say, it’s a lot of fun. The community is very supportive, and I feel very motivated to learn. Let’s see if over time the progress I make will be significant..Version: 20.15.1

Great app! Would reccomendOnly annoying thing is having to watch ads to access lessons but I understand the creator needs to make a profit so they can keep the app running.Version: 27.36.0

I’m a believerVery, very good. Have been a DuoLingo user for several years and got a lot out of it, but it has always been glitchy with its audio tracks, and the new study format feels ineffective, tiresome and ultimately unnecessary. This is totally different. The pacing is fantastic, as is both the relevance and quality of the content, including great audio tracks of practical, conversational dialogue. Rather than being clumped together into separate lessons, idioms and conversational short cuts are introduced in a very real way as the level of dialogue progresses, which is much more in line with how anyone learns a language in real life. You can try a few of the lessons as a free user, but if you are serious about learning a language, just get the 1 year sub for the $40 price they offer you. The real gold is all in there. Worth every penny..Version: 18.1.1

Best app to learn a languageBusuu uses such a great technique to learning a language while making it fun as well. It offers in depth explanation of grammar rules and even the culture and history behind a language as well as offering so many languages. It made learning more difficult languages such as Russian and Chinese easier with efficient learning methods. And the order in which they teach you makes sense, so I’m actually learning how to say hello first rather than bread unlike other apps I have tried. The only improvement I could suggest is when you are typing and make a single mistake, you got the entire question wrong. I’ve recommended Busuu to so may of my friends and they found it really useful..Version: 27.24.0

AmazingAmazing just wish I had the money or purchasing wouldn’t be a monthly thing and more just a buy for lifetime..Version: 20.14.0

Very nice interfaceJust started, but I like the ease with which the lessons flow. The B1 and B2 Japanese lessons are still under construction and not very complete, but the A1 and A2 sections are very good. This is an update. The format has changed a little, but I still like it. They continue to update the Japanese. I am doing the manga track now which adds a different flavor to the lessons. I have been using the app for over a hundred days now and have worked through the German A2 level. I especially like the use of the community of learners to comment on my attempts to write in German and Japanese. I have now been using Busuu for 270 days and have continued to keep up with the additional lessons that are gradually being added to the Japanese. I have found the German lessons much more challenging in B1 and the topics are not as interesting to me so that vocabulary is hard to retain. I started the looking at the Spanish and have done the first 5 units. The material is clearly presented, but I can see it will start getting harder. The Japanese B1 and B2 levels are beginning to fill out. I have also moved on to beginning Spanish which I like..Version: 27.28.0

Good, but could use some improvementsMy thoughts on this app have been mostly positive throughout my usage of it. I have managed to pick up Italian as fast or maybe even faster than Spanish in school. I am very glad to have grammar lessons that help a person actually understand the rules of a language and how to use them correctly. It is very easy to go back and review words if you have forgotten them. I do still have complaints though. The Italian course is big and I like it that way, but I noticed for other languages (Russian, Turkish, Chinese, Polish) there is not only no McGraw hill tests, but also a much smaller number of lessons. This concerning for me, a person who hopes to eventually learn polish, because I know it is a hard language and requires lots of studying, memorizing, and practicing. There is also a lack of lessons that prioritize learning grammar rules which I know is also important for the language. I am hoping that one day the Polish course as well as the other short course languages will eventually grow larger with future updates..Version: 25.4.0

Amazing and room to improve!!Please Read! Im a premium user and I can say without a doubt that Busuu has helped me far more than any other language app. I’ve learned the basics of Japanese and after my short break is done I’ll get back to learning but I can’t help but feel there should be improvements to the app. I’m taking the Japanese course to learn it fluently, when I tried working with another language and making a study plan it said my Japanese plan would have to be deleted to do this, I think as an improvement you should be able to have separate study plans. Another thing comes with the amount of languages, the language courses on Busuu help me and many other people a lot and I’m happy that it works but I feel as though there should be a few more languages. Korean, Thai, Indonesian and a few more would be my suggestions. I’d understand if this would take quite a while but I’m willing to wait for Korean and Thai mainly. Overall the App is great and amazing to learn languages, it actually makes me learn and I know words and can form short sentences at my point. Please use my suggestions :D.Version: 22.0.0

Amazing, and perfect for me!This app is so helpful when I try to learn Spanish! I’ve always wanted to be able to speak Spanish and now I’m getting better! I literally just got it today! (Saturday 19th December 2020) I’m on lesson 5 already and I think it’s just really helpful! If you have a dream of speaking a different language I would recommend this app! I can do it on road trips in the car, when I’m bored, it also will help when I say good morning to my teachers once we go back to school because it’s out goal for everyone to say ‘good morning’ in a different language! I’m only a beginner but I already know what ¿còmo estás? Means! I was playing a game but I got an add for the app, and it said something like ‘learn Spanish and More!’ So I downloaded it and it was the BEST decision I ever made in my life. Normally I never write reviews about apps, but this one I just had to! So yeah! It helps so much and I’m progressing really fast even though I’ve only had it a day!! 🇪🇸.Version: 22.17.0

Great help! This app is really great despite the battle with issues within the app. Still a great platform for learning!.Version: 27.35.0

Amazing app!I love learning with this app! Busuu really helped me memorise all of the phrases and vocabulary. I choose to learn Japanese, and I love the emojis in the explanations and text they use. I found it an amazing app to use, and I feel greatly encouraged everyday to use it! The product was very easy to navigate, use, and learn! I totally recommend downloading this for yourself as it has greatly helped me learn a new language, and I am certain you will at least get much merit out of it as I did..Version: 25.23.0

The language learning social mediaI absolutely love this app. And I think for what you get, the monthly price is totally worth it. The ability to connect with other learners and native speakers is amazing. But also being able to help and guide others by passing on the knowledge of your own native language is what really makes this app stand out. The ability to create a study plan and have it remind you when to practice is great, and having the ability to see how close you are to your goal of fluency is motivating. Unlike other language learning apps, this uses the universal grading system and gives you a certificate when you reach a certain grade. 100% would (and have) recommend. My only feedback would be this: It would be great to be able to search for friends that also have Busuu, but also to be able to search for strangers and filter them by languages they speak, and languages they’re learning. So I could easily find Japanese natives learning English. That way we could benefit each other much more efficiently. So far, I have only connected with one Japanese native and I’ve been using Busuu for about 4 months..Version: 23.4.0

Better than Duolingo!I found this app through youtuber (Gaijin Goomba) who recommended it over the current language app I was already using. Duolingo just gives you worksheets and has you memorize letters while Buusu actually has you learn words that would be practical if you found yourself stuck in a foreign country. Sure it still teaches you letters and such but they do it in a far more organic way than just giving you spreadsheets. There is also a large community there to help give you confidence or corrections on the things you write, as some lessons have you share your work with the community. The community is positive and so ready to help others, so there isn’t any need to fear sharing your early work with those around you. Also, just as a personal thing; the lessons are worded like a specific person is teaching you, giving their personal opinions, thoughts, praise, and even using cute little emoticons to express their excitement. This is definitely not necessary, but it made me feel a personal touch and connection to the writer of my lessons..Version: 27.23.0

Addictive and helpfulTwo weeks ago I knew only a handful of phrases of German that I’d memorized as a child. I have now worked steadily through the first level of Busuu German level one, taking copious notes, and I’m very pleased with all the vocabulary I have picked up, all the grammar I have mastered, and the friends from around the world I have made. I’m amazed at the complexity of the sentences I am able to construct within such a short time. Granted I devoted more time to it than would normally be possible. I have neglected some household chores and Facebook friends to study in every possible spare moment (before and after work). It’s terrific to be part of an international learning community. I appreciate the input and enjoy helping others. It’s great to get tips and encouragement from native speakers. I’m also planning to brush up on my other languages sometime for fun. It’s nice that that you can learn more than one language with this method for no extra charge. There is sufficient repetition of key concepts and vocabulary that they stick but not so much that it gets irritating. I think the pace is good. I think the concepts covered are good. I’d like to have learned some of them earlier (eg the endings of adjectives-which have not yet made an appearance) but it’s good to have that to look forward to. There’s a good balance of aural and written language. All in all I’m very pleased with this app and would recommend it..Version: 15.3.0

Very Good Job!I was very pleased with this app, and found it very easy to follow along and learn! Very easy for kids and adults, and made learning a different language fun! The only thing that I would change was the subscription to learn more, as it is very annoying how you have completed not even half of the lessons and then you need to pay premium for the rest. Other then that I thought this app was very well made!.Version: 24.19.0

Great French learning app for speaking and listeningGreat listening and comprehension. Love you can record yourself and get it reviewed by other app learners.Version: 27.36.0

Great learning toolIntroduce a word, then how it is in a sentence. Then to hear it said by different people is very helpful. Lots of repetition in various forms is helpful. The ‘tips’ are very helpful. Not expensive. Small daily chunks makes it possible to fit even very busy days. Daily reminder and reminders as the day moves to end to prompt the daily lesson. Great. Thanks jet.Version: 27.34.0

Brilliant!Over the past 5 days there’s been so much improvement in my speech, understanding of the lettering system and the overall language. Learning with Busuu is easy, quick and quite enjoyable. Even if you get something wrong, you can try again at the end of the lesson and review words you’ve already learnt. As brilliant as I review it, there are three major issues on here that I find; 1. You can’t add your friends on here if they already have an account, 2. Many of the lessons are locked at the end, which doesn’t inhibit our learning, but doesn’t allow us to look at our work in a different context, and 3. You can’t review a lot of words without Busuu premium plus. I’ve struggled with Duolingo in the past, but I think I’ve found my favourite language learning app. It’s helpful and your work can be reviewed by others, and in return you can help them, through audio to help pronunciation and writing to help spelling and grammar, it’s a wonderful app to use..Version: 22.19.0

✨ Amazing!! ✨I downloaded Busuu just the other day, and I’m already learning so much. Busuu makes it really easy, and it’s so clear what all the words mean. It’s also really easy to practice, and the saved words feature is super useful so that you can only practice the words you need to work. Also the community feature to correct people who are learning your language is fantastic. If there was one thing I think that Busuu could improve, I think it would be to make it easier to practice the alphabet of the language you are learning. For example, I’m learning Japanese (like everyone else), but it’s not super easy to practice your hiragana. So, it would be even better if there was a ‘review’ feature for practicing the language’s alphabet (there might already be one, and I’m just being dumb and can’t find it, if so, apologies, I just wasted your time if you are reading this 🤦‍♀️) Other than that, Busuu is brilliant and I would recommend it to anyone and everyone 👍 👌👌👌👌👌.Version: 25.0.0

Almost PerfectThe study plans and the very easy to follow short lessons makes Busuu one of, if not my favorite, favorite language learning apps. The only problem, which may or may not be a problem for others, is the limitation on how many study plans you can have going at once. If you’re like me and love learning languages, you would probably want to be able to have two or even three study plans going for different languages at a time. However, Busuu limits this to just one, even with a Premium Plus account! Thankfully, everything else is amazing. The remaining features barely make up for this lack in freedom for learning more than one language. Overall, it’s a great app. I’m just a little disappointed with this one feature, or lack there of. I would highly recommend it to anyone that only plans on learning one language though. In Response to the Developer I appreciate the concern and with all due respect, it doesn’t seem like the decision to learn more than one language at a time should be up to someone that doesn’t know me or my motivations. That kind of decision should be up to the user, or at the very least, a feature for Premium Plus members. I am saying this with much respect and appreciation for what is already made available. Thank you..Version: 23.7.0

Best so farOk so i’ve tried a few apps and so far this is hands down the best. Rather than just teaching you words and expecting you to understand everything simply by remembering them, this app actually explains the reason behind it grammatical rules. For example I’m learning dutch and none of my learning resources explained the difference between alstublieft and alsjeblieft. Where as busuu actually explains the reason why you use one or the other in a simple and understandable way. And now my dutch has come on heaps!! I also love the feature where you can review each other to help you and others improve. Would highly recommend this app to anyone!!.Version: 27.15.1

Very Good 👍Busuu is very good on teaching me. I am Australian and I am trying to learn Chinese, so far Busuu has taught me how to say Hello! My name is Betty, and you? If your looking for an app that can teach you how to speak different languages it’s definitely Busuu. But one thing my family is Maltese and I was quite sad about not having an option on leafing Maltese. I think Busuu should add Maltese, and Croatian. But overall I love Busuu..Version: 25.23.0

Perfeito para iniciantes!Nowadays, there are so many apps out there teaching people languages. Luckily, all the famous ones have enabled me to do some trials with a short time of period. Amongst which, I find that Busuu suits my needs and desires to learn Portuguese and pick up my French. Together with other users, we can learn, share and exchange the languages we know to each other by carrying out the exercises. I love this synergy idea. It keeps us motivating to improve and keep practicing the languages we want to learn in both oral and writing. One of the only things to improve for this app could be that... it would be very helpful if it provides synonymous and anonymous words. Secondly, it would be great if the app does help users to check the exercises they have done. It is always good to have more than one perspective to see how the phrases and grammars can be formed in different ways or tenses..Version: 22.2.0

Love it / QuiéraloSo far, so good. I would like to thank the developers for taking the time to read this (hello! :) Also, Thank You for developing Busuu. I have been refreshing my Spanish (first language is English) and I really do enjoy this app! Much appreciated! I recommend to anyone that is dedicated to learning another language as well! I read in a previous comment that expanding the social portion of the app would be appreciated and I 100% agree ! It would be awesome to have pen pals or something set up that would allow one to practice with someone trying to do the opposite (like someone fluent in Spanish learning English would be my opposite and so I would b connected to them and we would be able to help each other one on one whenever possible . (via email, video chat, phone calls, all of the above :) or however Busuu would prefer to set a messaging system/way to communicate). I just really loved that idea and think the best way to learn a language is to actually use the language as much as possible and immerse oneself in the language consistently. Thank you again Busuu for you super cool, fun, easy language learning app! I think tech people/developers are literally some of smartest hardworking people ever and I give you Kudos !! Take Care and God Bless✌️.Version: 13.8

Much better than duolingoWay more interactive than duolingo, and super enjoyable. Can choose different paths for purpose of learning languages and community thing is pretty cool..Version: 27.35.0

J’adore BusuuJ’ai essayé d’autres applications pour apprendre des langues et c’est l’application de Busuu qui est la meilleure selon moi..Version: 27.34.0

Excellent, butExcellent app for reviewing/ refreshing any prior knowledge, plus learning new. One can get back up to speed much more quickly than with say Duolingo which is painfully slow. As another mentioned, I didn’t know I could delete certain vocabulary words to not waste time with them. Another issue is that you can get an exercise right, and click to continue but realize there was additional explanation in that “correct” screen that you missed. Pavlov’s dogs… the “correct” chimes moves our fingers to hit “continue” immediately. I wish there was a way to go back a screen. The same goes for the pages with a bunch of info or rules. Sometimes I want to scroll back to review it again, but that’s not possible. Also, there’s no way to flag errors. One recurring error is very irritating, because you ask this question many times and many ways, half the time you want it answered one way, and the other half another way. It was even on the A2 exam, and marked me wrong. “Choose the 4 words that indicate an action in progress”. Être en train de + verb …. Half the time it wanted those first 4 words… the other half it wanted you to choose “en train de +verb”. It’s such a great app!!!… I hope you will work on the bugs though and give a way for customer feedback. I shouldn’t have to put it in a review.Version: 27.34.0

Brilliant for learning new languagesI downloaded this app because I wanted to learn Japanese and someone recommended it to me. I have been using it for a week and already I have learnt how to properly greet someone, introduce myself, use manners and I am now learning the hiragana alphabet. My family is impressed by how quickly I have learnt. It was really easy to sign up and I have been learning frequently because it’s easy to access. Of course, I have only been doing the Japanese course so I have no experience with the other courses, but I still recommend this app for people who want to learn a language. Small annoyance; you can only make a personalised learning schedule and do quizzes if you sign up for a premium account. But other than that, a great app to learn languages on. Arigatou gozaimasu Busuu..Version: 22.18.0

So far so goodI’ll had this app about a week now and already learning more. I’ve already started learning a language and was looking for a wider variety of vocabulary and grammar rules and Busuu has been great not only in these areas but also with the connection of the community of people learning and speaking the same languages as me— learning from each other and supporting each other. It’s a truly amazing experience, to watch others learn my language and learn from natives who speak the language I’m learning. One of the best language apps I’ve tried so far..Version: 27.26.0

Great app for learning anywhereHighly recommended, I just wish your Review section could be more intuitive with the stage of learning you are at, or we could better choose what reviews we do. It’s also too repetitive asking me the same questions repeatedly. Suggest also the questions during the course be a little more specific to the new content learned, as it’s too easy to guess the answer by seeing it’s either estoy/estamos/estáis/están response. Other than that great app!!.Version: 21.0.1

Excellent app.I have been using this app to learn German. And in less than 2 week can fluently introduce myself/ask someone their name ask and understand directions and ask someone where they are from, as well as read all of the above. Amazing app at a reasonable price..Version: 24.4.0

Excellent Language AppI am studying Spanish through Busuu. I signed up for the premium year-long service and love it. I can review lessons as many times as I need to before moving in to the next lesson. This means I can really learn something well before learning the next lesson, so I am confident in what I have learned so far, before moving on to the next lesson. Very helpful. They use a variety types of exercises i— verbal, fill in the blank, and pick the correct workout or word order to make a sentence. This variety helps you retain the lessons well. I can also move on to a lesson ahead, if I want. For instance I wanted to learn all of Estar conjugations and then all of Ser conjugations, but the lessons are broken up this way: singular Estar, singular Ser, plural Estar, plural Ser. That was confusing to me, so I went back and reviewed all the Estar conjugations, ‘til I had them down cold, then reviewed all the Ser conjugations. Very important to be grounded in these before moving on! Also being in the premium membership gives you access to all lessons, so be sure to get that membership. You might want to wait for a sale; I joined on a 60% off sale. Good luck!.Version: 25.0.0

Fantastic appI’ve been using Busuu for 4 days now and already it’s the best language learning app I’ve ever used. Caveat: I’ve only tested its Spanish course. It’s the only app I’ve seen that helps you learn vocabulary, teaches you grammar explicitly, and uses foreign language students to correct your exercises. Literally everything I wanted from a language app. They have many major world languages. If they added Hindi, the app would be perfect in my view..Version: 24.10.0

Love this appGreat lessons with everyday vocabulary and expressions but also clear explanations and exercises for improving grammar and pronunciation. Really fantastic having native speakers correcting one’s efforts and being able to help them in return..Version: 24.10.0

Exactly what I neededAs the title says, this is exactly the app for me. I came with a good basic knowledge of Spanish, learned from spending a significant amount of time in Spanish-speaking countries many years ago. I also took a number of Spanish classes whilst abroad and learned verbs, tenses, grammar, etc. However, I’m way out of practice as all of this was decades ago. I’ve used other apps, but I found they didn’t really get too much into sentence structure, etc, and this is what interests me. They give you phrases, but don’t really explain how these phrases are constructed. So, for example, it may say “¡no te preocupes!” for “don’t worry!”, but not really mentioning the use of the subjunctive. This makes it more difficult to apply what you’ve learned elsewhere. I think this app is much more “real” - no wild promises but, instead, just a steady progression that should help people understand the language rather than just learn phrases. I find apps that claim you can build a good level of understanding of a new language from zero in a few short months ridiculous. The community on this app is also very supportive. A good (business) idea from the developers to let us all help each other! I can’t recommend this enough if you actually want to understand a language..Version: 22.9.1

Better than Duo for learning French! When introducing new concepts, the "why" is explained, so you understand the language rules better. The videos and voices of real people are really useful too. And you can get feedback on your sentences from native speakers..Version: 27.30.0

Feels like you're in an actual language class. When the world went into lockdown, I decided to pick up a new language. I went into Busuu’s Japanese language course and duolingo, not really expecting much, and turns out, I really enjoyed using Busuu. I even bought the premium plan, which helps by motivating me to learn everyday. In comparison to Duolingo, Busuu feels like you're in an actual language class. There's grammar theory, lessons on katakana and hiragana, and there's even a little vocab review section to help you out. I suggest writing down all the vocab and characters you learn in a little book. The lessons are well structured and easy to go through. The developers have done a real good job! Well done!.Version: 22.8.0

Great AppI have recommended this app to some of my English students because it's a great way to improve your English. I'm studying French and I love the translated dialogues they have on the ends of many of the units. They use native, non-robotic speakers and speak at a natural pace so you can hear the linking of words. I also enjoy the visuals and how they contextualize all of their wonderful flashcards with sentence examples of the words. I have a few suggestions for improvement. First, they often will throw 3 to 5 complicated rules at you and then have you practice them all at once as if you should have digested all of that info at once. I think they should introduce one rule then have you practice that one and build on that. Also, often there is no audio or translation in many of the activities and I believe that's a big loss to the student. That's one place where duolingo wins out because they are good about that. Also, I'd love more review, so past rules and lessons are woven into the new ones. Also, not a fan of the high pitched ding sound that you can't turn off. Overall very impressed and excited to keep using it. Update: Buusu is my favorite language learning app by far and far surpasses duolingo because more practical language is taught and grammar isn’t ignored. I’m studying Spanish on it now and wish I had a non-Castilian option because I’m looking to communicate with Mexicans and Latin-Americans who don’t use vosotros or that th sound for the s..Version: 18.2.0

Jill FaaSuch a wonderfully organised program! The conversations are so relevant. The vocabulary so practical and the grammar beautifully explained. This is a great learning experience. I would love to see crosswords added to each lesson. I continue to enjoy every moment I can devote to my lessons and wish that there were more hours in the day that I could spend on the program. When are the crosswords going to be available? Thank you again for this beautifully developed program..Version: 27.30.0

Complaints about the voice recognition featureMost content of the app are great but I have some complaints about the voice recognition feature. Many times the app cut in while I was speaking, which I found very frustrating and discouraging. On the other hand, sometimes the app said I’ve got it right when I was only speaking the second word of the sentence. I found the result of the voice recognition feature very doubtful..Version: 22.0.0

Love this so muchHi all, I’m rating this 5 stars because this app gives you so much for so little. I’ve been learning French and Spanish for a little while now, and I’m really proud of how much progress I’ve made in so little time. Busuu helps you learn the right stuff at the right time when you need to learn it!! You learn in many different ways to help find how you learn best, and it gives a variety of how to learn. Two little things is that you can only learn one language at a time if you don’t but the premium. Also, it is really annoying that you can only have one learning plan despite how many languages you learn. It is really annoying because as my sister and I share the same account, there are two of us and there is only one learning plan. We are both big language people, and it’s just really annoying. If you could fix that, then that would be so awesome. I would definitely give 5 stars then. However, when I payed for the premium, it really does unlock everything and is very helpful. But despite that, even without paying, I was the top of my class in French, so if you want to learn a language for travel, fluency, or anything else, and quick, then Busuu is really the app for you..Version: 22.12.0

NewbieJust started a few days ago after trying out a few other apps. Really loving this one, feels right for my level, challenging enough but I can feel easy progress. Hard to put down :).Version: 21.6.0

Free version okThe free version is ok, but you can’t complete the lessons in full unless you get the premium version. Also there are constantly ads and ways the app tries to trick you into purchasing the premium version..Version: 22.6.2

Favourite appAlthough the free version is riddled with ads, the fact that their IS a free option to work through the course is amazing. It’s a small price to pay, even if you can’t stand the ads and don’t want to pay, they offer a free trial, after activating mine I found myself on the app everyday for long periods of time. Now that the free trial is up i’m looking at their membership and its great to see theyre running a massive 50% off discount on their anual membership! They also have referrals for 30days of membership fee free, that’s pretty awesome, but I think im going to try and hold out to see if they’ll do a lifetime subscription sale, this app is in my top 3 for language learning, I would prefer a one and done payment. I think the interface could be visually more appealing (im a fan of night mode, bright white is a little much for me)and the worksheet exercises could use some adjustments, but the community aspect is great. I find the content of the course to be great, engaging, and I like the way it teaches, esp grammar. S Tier app..Version: 27.9.0

GreatBeen using it for 2 days only but I can see me being able to recognise things fast and learn easily as they try and give you visual notes and the tips after an answer are really helpful too..Version: 27.41.0

Busuu is a great appOver time, I have tried most of the language apps; Rosetta Stone, Babbel, Duolingo, Drops, etc. Busuu is the best of all of them in most ways. The language level evaluation is great for those that have some understanding of the target language but are not sure of how to rate themselves. The goal setting of a “lesson plan” helps to keep a person on track. The words taught and dialogs are very practical to what a person might experience in everyday conversations. Grammar is integrated into the lessons every few lessons. It is helpful when grammar is spaced out like this. Every so often, there will be an assignment of writing a short paragraph on a subject in the target language. This gives practice using what has been taught. You are graded by others that are also learning, and grade others on their writing skills in their target language (with you having a best understanding of your native language). The only small weakness I find with Busuu is that the grammar review after the initial lesson is not as good as with Babbel. I am doing exercises at B2 level in German and the only “practice grammar” that I ever get is on the accusative case. On the other hand, the vocabulary practice is done exactly right. It uses something like the spaced repetition that Anki and Quizlet use..Version: 22.9.1

AwesomeAwesome app! i only used it for 3 days though. i just don’t like the ads every lesson. maybe add an ad every few lessons? but yea that’s how they earn money. awesome app other than that because there can be others helping you correct your sentence/grammar.Version: 27.36.0

GreatLove this app..Version: 27.35.0

Amazing AppLove the fact that I can learn different languages with a close or same curriculum as a college language course, I used to use other apps and found this one more helpful and more complete. So much , I didn’t mind paying the annual fee which is much more less that paying at any other institutions or college and you get the advantage of learning different languages at once. I’m currently learning French, Mandarin and Italian for the price of $35 a year. You also get to make friends from different parts of the world. If they are native speakers for the languages you are learning they’ll help you by correcting your exercises and viceversa, by making friends or anyone willing to help. It’s a beautiful community and you really feel the support, for the first time I do not feel embarrassed speaking words because they will also tell you how to write better or pronounce it better with no judgement involved 🙌🏻 it feels good ! I highly recommend this app to anyone looking to learn at their own pace. The app also makes a custom plan for you and it tells you how many months with consistency it will take you to be fluent. Yay!!!! If you don’t get it you’ll be wasting your time and money elsewhere! Get it!!!!.Version: 18.1.1

Good general concept, French could be betterThe core difference of Busuu is the way it engages other learners in teaching you (and vice versa). This works. Busuu assigns you random learners of your native tongue to correct, but it works best for me as a French learner if I correct the work of French speakers learning English, so that a mutual relationship is established. Anyway you are free to establish your own network of teachers and learners among the Busuu subscribers. As for French Busuu was good for brushing me back up to intermediate level after years of rustiness, but contrary to advertisements it maxes out there and there are no advanced lessons in that language. I have not tried others.Version: 24.14.0

Update 1I like it so far I hope the social and speaking aspects become stronger as I get deeper into it. I just finished Pimsleur french and this seems to be much better at grammar. I think if you’re serious about learning French and are trying to do it on your own or with your phone or on your phone as much as you can, both Pimsleur and Busuu have a place. Pretty impressed so far The social aspects are really blossoming! The “friends” that I’ve made are really good at helping change literal translation that sound weird in the respective target language, to an appropriate expression of an idea. PLUS they correct grammar and spelling! It’s brilliant. Humans have such hard wired social rules. There is no way that I am not going to correct their target exercises after they have helped me! So I am spending my time reciprocating and boy is that fascinating too! Flipping enjoyable! But you do have to engage that part of the application when prompted. I will upgrade to 5 etoiles if the structured lessons press beyond intermediate French. I like everyone else I think is looking for a clear path from idiot to near fluency in our target languages..Version: 25.12.0

Aprendizaje fácil y DivertidoMe encanta !.Version: 27.36.0

Very helpfulThere are a couple minor bugs here and there but these are not the kind that cause the app to shut down. So don’t be concerned with that. Realize that even using just the free app is amazing. I have used Babbel, I have used a private online tutor which truly is the best of all worlds (if you are using a good one), and now I am using Busuu. Each way of learning has its benefits, but I have to say that I have found secrets I never learned the other ways. Truly, that may be because I am much more relaxed in the language and read Spanish B1 novels now, it may be because my online profe made me write stories in Spanish and drove home lots of stuff, and now I have a desire to fine tune what I know, it may be because Busuu presents the same material I must have covered in Babbel and with my instructor, but now it’s finally sinking in. But I am truly benefiting a great deal from Busuu’s style on the free app. I will sign up for the year but I am trying to figure out my level on their app first so I can dive in where I should be. I like the fact you can’t move ahead until you have truly learned the material. There are times I have repeated a section just to reinforce what I thought I’d learned but wasn’t sure. That helped so much. So give it a try..Version: 27.5.0

Perfect platform for meI did a lot of research concerning which paid platform to use on my language learning journey. I saw people praise Busuu and I saw people criticize Busuu. Well, I had to see for myself. I did the free trial and immediately got drawn into the platform. It’s very engaging, has a lot of information, and is, in my opinion, affordable. More than one mode of learning is activated; writing, speaking, visual, and listening. You also get the chance to interact with people who are also learning a new language in a controlled setting, making it hard for people to turn it into a dating app, which distracts from learning. They also give the option to book some classes with instructors to get more assistance with your learning. I highly recommend doing a free trial of the classes. The instructors are knowledgeable and patient with you. They know how to engage students in conversation so that you apply the Spanish you know, which helps you learn. I will continue to use Busuu because I have a great balance of self-learning and guided learning that has helped me learn a lot already. Hopefully this platform can be a great fit for you, too..Version: 27.2.1

Forget Duolingo..I pumped one and a half months doing two hours a day into Duolingo to end up doing phrases involving “my enemy” like what the heck dude I don’t even know how to say Happy in German after a month and a half. This teaches you things in order of how you should learn as if in a classroom (with certificates so they say?) And get onto the grammar, way more useful. As soon as they implement the grammar review (as I was a beta tester in) this app will be the best assistant to your studies..Version: 20.12.0

Busuu supports language learningI’ve been using Busuu for a few days to assist with my aim of learning Japanese. It has a different approach from other Apps I’ve tried. A nice balance of learning and repetition. I also really like the images and format of the App..Version: 24.10.0

Better than Rosetta.I’m undecided between 4 or 5 stars. The app is great and fun to use, it offers translation which is good and, for me as I’m getting on in years, just the right amount of content per lesson. It also allows you to interact with other users and it tests you orally as well as in writing. My only small dislike is that it’s not possible to go back in a lesson, as far as I’m aware you have to repeat the whole thing. It’s not a deal breaker as the lessons are fairly concise. Also I’m not sure what the colour of the icons is supposed to tell me but maybe that’s me being thick. I’d also like to include the time I spend reviewing things into my overall time, sometimes I spend an hour or more going back over what I’ve learned only to find 0/20 minutes have been added to my overall time. You set the time goal yourself so it’s no big deal. So far something about this app has kept my interest more than others. I’ve tried Duolingo, that was too repetitive and Rosetta Stone which was so incredibly tedious and very expensive. I hope I keep up with this as I’m an Englishman living in Spain so I need to learn the lingo! So far I’ve learned more in a week than the previous 3 years. Hasta luego!.Version: 19.1.0

Best language learning app there isFor transparency’s sake i am reviewing from the point of someone who uses the premium plus as well as having previous knowledge of my target language. that said, busuu is a fantastic app for language learning, and definitely stands out for beginners as it introduces you to very basic concepts with a good explanation of grammar rules from the start. it covers a fantastic range of topics and offers a community feature in which native speakers can correct your written or spoken exercises. as well as offering placement tests for those who have previous knowledge upon starting, and tests at the end of each level. in addition to this it follows the CEFR for languages. for me the only downsides are a) you do need premium plus to get the most out of it as the free option does not include grammar lessons at all, which are 100% needed b) it is far too sensitive to spelling errors in comparison to other apps. this isn’t a huge problem so much as something frustrating when you’re using the app and have to re-do a question because you missed a dash, or made a typo other than that it truly is the best language learning app out there in my opinion.Version: 24.14.0

BussuThis will push a little out of your comfort zone on occasion but that’s the challenge you accept to have a much faster learning rate..Version: 24.19.0

BusuuPerfect app.Version: 27.36.0

New beta versionI really enjoy using the app and made a huge progress with my Japanese. However after I accepted a change to new beta version I noticed some changes which I don’t like. In the previous version whenever the lesson consisted of few different parts you were able to access them individually by swiping right, now after clicking on a (previously completed) lesson you go straight to the first part, and even after completing it again, you can’t access the next part of the lesson. Are you aware of it? It’s not very good for reviewing. Also I enjoyed in the previous version when you tapped on the lesson, it extended and the app remembered which lesson you were recently at. Now if I go back to an older lesson and complete it again, the app goes back to the next lesson which is not complete or to some random location. Also it’s tiring that to change the level, you have to swipe all the way to the top. Is there a way to go back to a previous version?.Version: 26.0.0

Great app!!!!I am going to study university at Spanish after studying it to a level standard and I find this app really helps to expand my knowledge and provides me with important structures that are helpful to everyday life in Spain. The large variety of skill levels allow you to truly progress and enable you to speak Spanish to your full potential. The feature of helping others from around the world correct they writing and even speaking and pronunciation, fully promotes language learning for everyone. I do think busuu is a great app but for all the features to be enabled, it does require payment, I think that it is these features that make the app so good. I am on a free trial atm and won’t be able to afford it after, which is a shame..Version: 20.0.1

The best app to learn new languagesThis app is not based on translation, like other apps, to teach a language. This is ideal because you get to think in that language instead of translating everything. It’s possible to change the app’s display language to whatever language you’re learning, which makes it more challenging..Version: 27.35.0

Learning japaneseAmazing method to learn japanese. I don't have a good memory and the traditional learning language is quite difficult for me. Busuu use more visual and mnemonic techniques which help me a lot..Version: 27.2.1

Superb but one small flawGreat language learner. Much better than Duolingo. However Duolingo has one thing Busuu doesn’t have. Music support. I could do a lesson in french and listen to some music in the background to focus. However in Busuu whenever I get into a lesson with any voice tracks, the music cuts out. I do really like this app and the structure of the courses but this small flaw makes it annoying to do lessons and listen to music which is something I quite like doing as it focuses me..Version: 25.20.0

BIG WWell made 🗿.Version: 27.36.0

Very Happy!I have the premium version and I am happy with it. I like to use the desktop version and take notes while studying with the tips provided..Version: 27.36.0

Great language app for beginnersI have used other language apps before (such as Duolingo) which are ok but Busuu breaks down the lessons in a more visual way. I like how it can work you towards the recognised language standards (A1, A2 etc…) and uses a good mix of spelling prompts and examples of application in conversation. I really like the section where you can test yourself or brush up on the vocabulary and grammar you’ve already learnt - especially useful for when you’ve not used the app for a few weeks. The ability to exchange tips with other learners is great and helps to understand how people ‘actually’ speak the language. My only criticism is that the app doesn’t help you to understand why sentences are structured in the way they are when you struggle on something later in the app - i.e for each lesson it would do with a little question mark or hint button when your get a question wrong for something you should already know, so you can see why your answer was not accepted..Version: 27.17.0

Learning Korean freeThis is not one of those apps that make you pay extra to learn, you can learn quickly completely free and I’m currently learning Korean so I can actually understand the shows such as squid game, bloodhounds, my name, trim to busan, so many amazing Korean shows and movies I wish I could understand, so now I’m making that change, a bit unfortunate they only have 2 courses for Korean and it’s not their plan to add more, so if you want to Lear Korean this is good for the basics but I do recommend a different app if you want to get to an intermediate level. Any other language like English, French or Spanish I highly recommend Busuu!.Version: 27.37.0

Найефективніший додатокОбожнюю цей додаток за його ненапряжність, доступність інфо та зрозумілий покроковий план. Придбала преміум відразу ж, і за перших кілька тижнів вже через кілька уроків могла вести базові розмови з німцями. Всім його рекомендую, вся сімʼя проходить тут різні мови по моєму посиланню ахах:ʼ) Щаслива, що відкрила для себе Бузуу, і дуже дякую.. ні, треба щоб вони побачили - Busuu, thank you so much for allowing Ukrainians to use your app in premium mode during the war. It helped me to survive in Germany the first time and I’m just genuinely happy to find you one day. Your help is greatly appreciated by me & everyone I recommend you to. Much love, Anna 💙💛.Version: 27.35.0

Steady progress!PROS: Busuu teaches in manageable chunks, with easy to understand exercises you can do in just a few minutes a day. Progress is measured to keep you encouraged and engaged. You get a good mix of writing, reading, listening, and speaking practice, and native speakers will correct your work (as you do for others). Lessons can be downloaded for offline work. So far I'm getting real results while actively enjoying myself! I've tried both Busuu and Duolingo and find Busuu much clearer and easier to follow. I would still recommend Busuu at its normal price, but when I opted out of the "free trial" on day one, it offered me a great discount when I came back the next day! I can only speak about the Japanese lessons, but I'm impressed. I'm learning, and I'm having fun. CONS: The computer voices are fine for listening practice but should NOT be considered "realistic" enough to model your Japanese accent after. Also, it's great to get feedback from native speakers, but the grading requests can feel excessive, especially for a language as popular as English..Version: 25.20.0

Love itThere are options for various levels of the language you are learning and the connect section allows you to help others by correcting their work and have your work corrected by native speakers. It’s well worth the subscription cost if you’re serious about learning another language..Version: 27.27.0

I am obsessed[disclaimer: I bought the full account so I have features not everyone might, but I seriously recommend getting the full version, it’s worth every single penny] As an avid language learner, I’ve tried every app and website out there, and this is by far my favourite of all of the ones I’ve ever used. From the gorgeous and entertaining design to the sensical and organised lessons, everything is just perfect. I love the separated grammar lessons so much and the culture/grammar notes as I learn new things are so helpful and interesting, they really add an exciting element to my learning and remind me of how amazing it is to be opening the door to a new world by learning the language. One of my favourite things is how the lessons are laid out and how you can go about completing them. Unlike most apps and websites where the groupings are by random topics and you must do them in order, busuu has a fantastic way of taking a concept, teaching vocabulary for it, introducing grammar with that vocabulary, and making it all useful for actual communication. That to me is one of the best features, because I know that I’m constantly learning material I need, instead of crawling my way through 4 lessons about food to get to the important stuff. Busuu is amazing, and I recommend it to literally everyone, thanks busuu for motivating me and making learning so much fun!.Version: 15.0.1

Best language learning app/websiteSo worth paying a yearly subscription, learn multiple languages makes you want to learn! Definately recommended. Tech support is a little bit slow but not at all their fault as its also due to time difference. 9/10 :).Version: 27.4.0

Affordable and funI needed some kind of Japanese course to keep my studies going while I worked full-time but don’t have enough money to pay for group lessons, so this was a great solution for my needs. The lessons are bitesize and never overloading with information, the community feel to it is a nice touch and it’s genuinely rewarding when native speakers correct/comment on your submissions. The app works smoothly and the structure is solid. Very pleased so far! The only constructive feedback I have, is that the accepted answers to questions need to be increased, as there are different ways to type a Japanese word in romaji (e.g. sometimes it accepts “juuichi” but not “jyuuichi”, even though I’ve seen the latter “jyuu” used throughout the app). The correct kanji answers should also be made acceptable for those who have learned these outside of Busuu :).Version: 25.16.1

Amazing!Paying or watching an ad to unlock each lesson is annoying.Version: 27.36.0

Good app to learnNice app but the only thing that bothers me is that the words and sentences in the audio parts are said too quickly and even if i'm not a complete beginner in the language, they speak too fast and it's hard to understand.Version: 16.8.0

Best ! Best ! Ever !Meilleure application d’apprentissage jamais téléchargée, très pratique et super interactif! vous comprendrez mieux 👉🏽 Just download 😀.Version: 17.0.0

(Update in brackets). (Used to) Prefer it over duoWhile the other is more gamified, Busuu (has recently changed iPhone app more gasified), started off with useful things like hello etc. If you are serious about studying for a reason then this is for you. Plus side is you could use it without paying. I took advantage of an offer and got year for under £40. For most I would recommend it. The things that annoy me, Flashcards , no way to try without pictures first. Choosing option’I didn’t know it’ only to have the word back next word. Again and again. Annoying notifications such as, Help person a , person b asked for help etc, book a lesson, look how far you’ve come. Busuu focuses on grammar to teach, which may be fine for most. The app annoys me somehow every time I use it, BUT, I also believe that if I can keep going I will learn eventually but through sheer repetition. (Misspellings. Having spent 40years spelling professor to get penalties for one letter when I had the word, Duo gives it and says misspelt or I miss accent). (Use Duo free to start then get Busuu but use laptop. Not iPad (iPad updated) can no longer download for offline )..Version: 26.0.0

Good enough for a starterOverall I’m satisfied and it’s certainly better than the other mainstream options. I’m one week into learning at the time of this review. The course somewhat rushes you through the study material and expects you to have a brilliant memory for future lessons that tests you on earlier words. Not necessarily a bad thing. An improvement would be to include a refresh of earlier training along the way. There’s just this linear progression with an expectation that the user is retaining the knowledge. Add more recap moments and spread out the learning. There’s also these annoying moments where a new word or phrase not previously taught is thrown in and you’re expected to somehow figure it out which is odd. Maybe this is some kind of new generation training. I’m used to learning material then being tested on what was taught. There’s also instances where you’re taught the rules for some word spelling or grammar but it leaves a lot of questions unanswered about why it’s like that. I think going into some more detail can’t hurt the user gain more insight into why something is the way it is. Otherwise, I think this app is about as good as it gets for now in the marketplace until AI eats their lunch soon..Version: 27.28.0

Engaging and EasyGreat app, easy to use, very engaging and the chance to learn from the community feature is awesome. Highly recommend!.Version: 22.16.0

Excellent!!Love it ….Version: 27.36.0

Good app, good price, would be nice to have more featuresThe app has lots available to non-paying users, but it opens up a lot more when you do pay. I would like them to add some features to entire courses at once instead of just one level at a time, for example they added quizzes at the end of every few topics to beginner Portuguese, but there are no quizzes in any other levels, also it would be nice to be able to do quizzes on whole grammar structures and lessons, like how you can currently revise the vocab you've learnt, it would be nice to have an option to revise random lessons since the app does not have any repetition. The lack of repetition is nice though, because some apps repeat so often that you can never learn anything new. It would also be nice if you could revise more than 5 words at a time in the vocab section, maybe add a slider to select 5,10,20,50 etc?.Version: 27.13.0

So much better than the owlOk, I really enjoy using this app. In a few short weeks I passed the A1 for my chosen language. However , as it wasn’t a “passed with flying colours” score I thought I’d hang back from moving on and redo a lot of what I’d learned in the A1 section before venturing into A2. This is my gripe. It refuses to remember where I am in the course because I’ve gone back to redo it. It’s immensely frustrating. Also apparently once you’ve passed a test there is no way to go over your work and resit the exam to try and do better, which is a shame. Anyway, I love the app in general but for the sake of my sanity, please, fix it so that the app remembers which lesson I have just finished when I’m recapping previous lessons..Version: 27.18.0

Busuu reviewThis is a great language learning site. It teaches you to listen, to speak wth the right pronunciation, and of course to read. Helps if you take a daily dose to build your knowledge! Sir Dilla.Version: 17.2.0

Interactive and fun!I didn’t honestly think I would enjoy the app so much!! It’s interactive enough to keep learners engaged and motivated, plus connecting native speakers and learners together works really well in helping others study languages. I only had to commit a little before finding myself committing to studying everyday on Busuu, even just for 10’ or hours at end during free time!! A big 5 stars for this one:).Version: 24.10.0

Amazing experience!I’m a certified language teacher, and I’ve always gotten questions from students and parents about what is the best app to help with their language studies. I had tried two other super popular language learning apps, but rediscovered Busuu a few days ago (ironically, it was a student who recommended it to me!). I was instantly amazed and already recommended it to two of my friends. It has quickly become my favorite language learning app, not just because of its highly-customizable courses or the fact that it’s levels are aligned with international CEFR ratings for easy reference (i.e. A1, A2, B1, B2, etc.), but also it’s infusion of highly relevant cultural references, it’s modern interface with actual videos of speakers… but best of all, the inter connectivity of speakers in a global network. I have nothing to complain about with this app and and everything to praise. Now I have a solid answer when someone asks me what the best app is to help them with their studies. I still have many more people to recommend it to. And to whoever created this app: Bravo!!! Wow!!!.Version: 27.4.0

Best language app I’ve usedI have used my fair share of language learning apps but Busuu is the app I stick with. Its key feature is having interactions with native speakers from day one. Honestly, plain old humans are a better way to learn language than AI grammar bots. You will make mistakes and sometimes sound non sensical but it’s okay because the community is really nice and everyone helps one another in learning languages. Busuu introduces concepts and new words in bite-size fashion. So that you’re making progress at a steady rate. In the dialogues, I feel like the ratio between “I’ve learned this stuff” and “let me try to figure out this other stuff” is good so that it never feels overwhelming. As mentioned above, interacting with native speakers helps tremendously in learning a new language and that makes Busuu stand apart from other apps. Will Busuu help you achieve an intermediate or advanced level on its own? No, but in addition to language tutoring sessions, flash cards and a textbook it will help a lot in your language journey from beginner to intermediate. So, yeah, in conclusion, I think the premium version is worth the money..Version: 20.11.0

Great but not perfectI decided to try out it Japanese course, (as I love anime and their pop music). It was fun to learn it (though I’m just a beginning) but I noticed a few issues. One of which is that the translation button doesn’t work on these to cards (the tall card and the student card, and there may also be more), I also don’t like that you can't use the translation button in the second stage of the dialogue test, but can do it on the first stage. However, I do like the translation button on the vocabulary cards so I can write it down on paper and know how to pronounce it. Also I really hate that you shove the premier membership in my face, every time I open the app, I just want to learn it to for free like you say. I would also suggest the ability to swap courses if the consumer doesn’t like it. Also as you don’t offer a Korean or a Vietnamese course, you should know that it say that you offer those courses in the information tab, at the bottom which would mislead people into thinking you offer it when you don’t..Version: 14.7

Great language app ⭐️I’ve tried a few other language apps and this one is by far the best (for me anyway). I’m learning French and to have the little test whenever you want has been a godsend to me. Instead of going through the lessons and forgetting it all, you just keep doing these little tests and you really do remember. I’ve been doing it for a week now and my understanding of the language is so much better and I even know a few sentences. You can even have your pronunciation corrected by French talking people and you can help them with their English too. Which I think is such a great way to learn. Try it and you won’t be disappointed. Great app well done. ⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 15.9.0

Great appHelps alot.Version: 27.35.0

Busuu is my style.I appreciate the focus on grammar. Other language learning programs focus too much on learning vocabulary. Too much vocabulary overwhelms me. With Busuu, I focus on learning the grammar, which, for me, explains the language better, and as a byproduct I learn the vocabulary that is used over and over in the lesson. For me, this is so much more effective..Version: 27.36.0

Love it, just some innovative ideas I hadI really enjoy the app it is very comprehensive and easy to study from the review sections if I don’t feel like doing a lesson. My favorite part is the community aspects how you can chat with other native speakers. This app is great for true comprehension of the culture and the rules of the language with lots of exercises for memory and pronunciation. If you’re a more auditory learner and want to learn more naturally/quickly with everyday convos, The only other app I recommend to people is Pimsleur - 30 min audio lessons with very relevant vocabulary that you will find yourself using immediately. Using Pimsleur and Busuu together daily with have you fluent in no time. The only drawback with Busuu is that you can only talk to them on the speaking/writing exercises. It would be really dope if the friends part was expanded like a mini social media blog or chat features. Also, could you add Farci (either Afghani Dari or Persian)? Other than these things, this app is amazing and one I always recommend !.Version: 24.21.0

Little changesI love this app! It’s amazing. Definitely one of the best language learning apps ever. Only thing I think needs to change is if you get something correct or incorrect still come up with the translation. I find myself knowing a lot of words and forget what they mean. But still get the questions correct. Other than that this app is perfect.Version: 20.4.0

Good but not perfectIt’s probably me, but the pace of study advancement is rapid and I suspect the ideal is to use Busuu in a more dedicated manner than just 10-20 minutes a day on the app. Really you need to have other language study plans alongside Busuu to help you comprehend and advance. My particular failure is an inability to comprehend listening tasks because after years of study with various apps and offline my ‘ear’ for a foreign language just isn’t. So I’m still trying to translate before I comprehend. And so not being natively minded in my head I’m still struggling with the basics. Busuu is less frustrating than other language apps I’ve used that have so much gamification it gets in the way of making good progress. Positives for Busuu are the reviewing of words and grammar that are well worth taking time out to work on. Plus tips are useful. Ideally spend time writing down what you’ve learnt. If you try rattling through the language course, unless you’re a language genius you’ll find Busuu pushes on with fairly advanced language at a pace. Soon you’ll be being asked and answering everything in your chosen language. No hints in English! Makes it quite a challenge. I’m persisting as I see the value and have paid for another year - it’s good value compared to other apps. Beware tho the end of section tests. They’re hard! Like being at school. Overall recommended, just be aware you can’t learn a language JUST using Busuu. Unless you’re a language whizz!.Version: 27.36.0

Almost perfect exceptThe app is very good and actually helps me making real learning progress, unlike some other apps. There are some areas for improvement, but I can’t find a way to request new features or give feedback. One of the main things that annoys me is, some of my exercises never get corrected, and they get buried over time. I wish there’s a way for me to resend or bump them up the list, for people to notice..Version: 23.7.0

Good so farThere seems to be a bug in the dialogue sections where the correct option is not displayed. This means that you may have to repeatedly quit the section and go back in to get the correct options displayed for all the gaps and that can be very irritating if it happens repeatedly for different bits of the dialogue. The problem chiefly seems to arise when some of the options are quite long - possibly the developer has not ptovided enough space for the text. Some of the recorded speech is extremely fast and even with repeated listening it is not possible to hear all the words spoken clearly. This varies hugely and could be improved by asking the speakers not so much to speak very slowly but certainly to speak very clearly and to make sure they do not drop words or syllables Other than that I have found the course helpful. It does necessarily concentrate on providing a whole language course but with relatively little opportunity to practice speech but I doubt if that is really possible in an app..Version: 21.4.0

French languageI enjoy a lot learning french with this application🍀I learn a lot and It’s quite a fun 👌🏼👏.Version: 27.35.0

I think I’ve found the perfect language appI’ve previously used apps like Duolingo but got frustrated with the lack of range, they weren’t teaching me anything useful I want to learn how to have conversations not 20 courses on ‘I am a boy’ or ‘I eat a sandwich’ this app got straight to it in an easy way to understand. I also love the community side of it also which is great. It’s nice to get that feeling of accomplishment when people comment on your stuff. I have a few feature requests: I’d really love a dark mode as using the app at night is so bright now I’m used to everything being in dark mode, another small feature I would love is haptic feedback and maybe the addition of widgets for the home and Lock Screen would be useful..Version: 27.36.0

Great appAmazing app.Version: 27.36.0

Best resource I’ve found so farI love Busuu! I love how structured the lessons are and how you can have your word reviewed by other native speakers. I also like that they have a review tab, so you can review the things you’re weak in like grammar or vocabulary. Some complaints I have is that in the past is that one or two answers haven’t been quite accurate (I am learning Japanese) to the question being asked, but I haven’t encountered this in a while. Since this is something that all apps have trouble with, I don’t think it’s a massive problem, but could be frustrating/ confusing for a new learner. Also with learning Japanese, the app will sometimes pick and choose when you can and can’t use kanji to answer a question, even if your answer is correct—especially in the review section. This is convenient for beginners, but can be frustrating for upper level learners wanting to practice their kanji. It also can be kinda strict with “?” vs “。” which can also add to the frustration. A recommendation: aside from the complaints I mentioned above— have a writing resource to reference/ practice from. I’m learning Japanese so having a page dedicated to the characters would be nice. Overall I really love this app..Version: 27.3.0

Busuu gets it right! The speed it hits me with new concepts, the lesson length, the number of new words, the nice images, the clear audio, the clean interface; wow, they’re really getting it right!! Nothing annoying! It’s like they actually know how to teach a language, it’s like they know how to build an app. It’s like they know how to do their job! Thanks Busuu dudes who made this so good!.Version: 27.22.0

English speaker learning SpanishI have tried other apps like Duolingo but I found Busuu more structured. I like that the courses are laid out like academic lessons but it is also much fun using other features of the app. Busuu also has the opportunity for learners to access live lessons with native teachers of your target language. Busuu has helped me increase my grammar and vocabulary massively. I now use another app (Tandem) to speak with native speakers directly, thanks to the foundation that Busuu has helped me build with my language learning. Within a few months I was able to hold a basic Spanish conversation with Spanish speakers all over the world. I would recommend this app to serious learners..Version: 25.23.0

Bad updatesTo be clear: I love this app. I love the community aspect and the quick lessons make it easy for me to fit learning into my routine. However, they updated the app recently and now my corrections don’t turn green. This is a problem since I provide avid support to my network on here and I frequently correct lessons. Another thing missing is you can no longer see engagement (comment count) on each post under the community tab and they’ve made it *too* easy to just click “it’s perfect!” when in reality, most of the time people who grade something as “perfect” are doing harm to the learner as it is not perfect, it has errors. I think this app should encourage discourse and examination beyond just saying “it’s perfect”. Just my two cents. I also wish it would refresh the community feed more often with new lessons to correct—I’m always seeing the same ones all week. I know this app is growing and continuing to improve so I will give it the benefit of the doubt. All in all, I don’t mind spending money on this app because I enjoy it, but I hope for a smoother experience on the app in the near future. Please fix the green corrections not showing up! 🙏.Version: 25.6.0

Busuu a different approachI am finding Busuu a refreshing change from other apps on the market. The learning community is active and friendly. The combination of listening and writing exercises are both informative and engaging. I believe that I am making faster progress by submitting exercises for native speakers to correct. This app is definitely worth looking into if you are serious about studying one of the languages offered..Version: 24.16.0

A very complete language appOf all the language apps I have tried, I find Bussu to be the most effective for my learning style. I am near 100% through all of French and have started Spanish and Chinese. I like how the lessons correspond to the A1-B2 levels of CEFR (Common European Framework). It would be nice if the Chinese lessons would correspond to HSK levels. It would be nice to always see the pinyin alongside the Chinese characters, but you can easily toggle back and forth. Lessons for A1-A2 are well developed and consistent for most Latin-based languages. However, content starts to slightly diminish with a few errors once you get into the later courses B1-B2. If they can be more consistent, provide more content, and fix these minor glitches—I would give this app 6 stars! After 18 months, I have reached an intermediate level of French using the app as my foundation for grammar and basic vocabulary (I have not used a textbook). I plan to use this app for many years to come. Definitely worth the value!.Version: 27.28.0

Great tool to supplement learningI have been using Busuu for about a month now (paid version). Excellent being able to communicate with native speakers. So far I think this is a pretty good learning tool however I do not and would not solely use this to learn a new language. But excellent app and definitely recommended..Version: 19.3.0

Brilliant language appI love this app. I am using it to brush up my Spanish and it is proving invaluable. I love the community feature where native speakers correct other students’ voice and written exercises - what a great idea! The mix of text, voice recordings, and videos makes the learning really varied and interesting. In the Spanish course, you have different learning options - complete Spanish at beginner, intermediate or advanced level, Spanish for travel, Learn with El País (using articles and videos from the newspaper El País), and they’ve just added a new podcast series exploring Spanish language and culture. Really brilliant app. I’m enjoying it so much that I’ve been inspired to learn French now too!.Version: 22.15.0

Worth the costOnly offer a free trial on initial sign up so take it and try it to try all features (otherwise you’ll get stuck at lesson 2-3 like I did), but the content is great, the pacing is great. They don’t just let you tap on the translation like some other apps when you get stuck and they’ve already taught you it a few times which makes you actually learn it not just fall into the well I can just use this to fall back on. It has revision for words that it identifies you are struggling with (and you can make your own lists). The year subscription price includes access to all 12 languages unlike some other apps. They say the speakers in the app are native speakers and the French course I’m doing definitely seems so (which will be much better for my accent when speaking French) and the microphone seems accurate when picking up my pronunciation, including not always accepting what I’ve said until it concludes I’m more accurate in the way I’m emphasising certain vowels etc. I have nothing but positives to say about it. At least try the free trial, or even the free version for the first few lessons and decide for yourself..Version: 20.12.0

One of the best . . .. . . apps on language learning I have ever come across. I think Busuu is mainly excellent for grammar exercise with a bit of vocab building on the side. In general, I love it..Version: 22.9.1

Excellent. The best app for learning French. I would suggest that it should go beyond B2 and if it had content for c1 and c2 learners, it would be a wonderful addition. Now I have started learning Spanish as a complete beginner. I find it is taking me along at a perfect rate..Version: 27.28.0

Best language learning app going.Actually teaches grammar and phrases with real world application. Rather than rote learning useless phrases, like that other language learning app, won’t name drop but the one with the green owl..Version: 26.5.1

After 3 months review. This App is good and bad. It does some things great and some things awful. The great: As a vocabulary learning tool, it does fantastic. Your ability to learn vocabulary through the lessons is very good. The beginning lessons are fantastic. You learn so much so fast that you think you’ll reach fluency at this pace, then something happens. Introduce the bad. The terrible: At some point this app tells you that you know say 300 words. But then the lessons start using words in the example sentences you’ve never heard or seen before. They are testing you on the 300 words they say you know with hundreds of words in sentences you’ve never even seen. The tests have unknown words so you’re left getting frustrated. The grammar lessons at a certain point, do the same thing. This app at some point starts treating you like you know way more than you do. It’s a great app and I avoid the grammar lessons to avoid getting frustrated with the app and basically use it to reinforce vocabulary. I skip the grammar lessons and concentrate on the vocabulary lessons. This app will give you knowledge. But honestly, I couldn’t care any less what the name of singular, masculine adjective, split pronoun, with a past participle adverb hugging preposition is… really, who cares about this technical mumbo jumbo..Version: 26.0.0

Offline app is extremely slowI’m learning German, Arabic and Spanish on this app. It works conveniently and I definitely recommend buying premium. It helps you develop a study plan based on when you’re available and lets you choose when and how long to study for each week. Then, it gives you an estimate of when you’ll be at your goal (A1, A2, B1, B2) based on your study plan. With premium, you’re able to give 5 friends 30 free days to try out the paid version of the app. Me having no friends, can’t review that part. The thing is, it gives you a button to download the lessons for when you’re offline. However, when you open the app when you’re offline, it takes about half an hour to an hour to completely load the lessons. This can be extremely frustrating and difficult. I recommend opening the app BEFORE you go offline so that everything is loaded and ready for you to learn. Overall, this is a good app for learning languages and being someone who has tested many apps, I recommend this over Babbel or any other app..Version: 25.22.0

Awesome! This app is really useful. I use the free version and it’s helped me with learning Portuguese. I managed to complete A1 level in 30 days! It’s insane how easy the app is to use and how easy it is to learn from it. I can only imagine how useful the membership would be. I definitely recommend if you’re wanting to learn a new language quick and easy!.Version: 19.4.0

Great for Language Learning, not Difficult Enough and Not Enough Direct ReinforcementBusuu is probably the best paid language learning software out there. It includes cultural notes for each language, like differences in phrases used in Spanish in different countries, that “how are you?” Is not commonly asked in Germany and seen as a very personal question, or how Russians use Patronymic names as their formal names. It also does a great job of making sure you’re actually pronouncing the words right, getting the spelling right, and learning new words. Additionally, it also teaches you according to CEFR standards and you can take tests and get certificates of language knowledge from McGraw Hill according to CEFR levels, and you can put them on your LinkedIn profile. The biggest problem is that it doesn’t really do a good job of reinforcing what you’ve already learned. You have to go out of your way to review the words, phrases, and spellings. I would highly recommend using this app to learn grammar, pronunciation, and phrases, and use Duolingo on the side to help expand your vocabulary in your target language..Version: 22.17.0

Busuu reviewI’ve found Busuu to be a great app. Unlike some others, it introduces lots of new vocabulary very quickly and provides clear, frequent explanations of grammar. There is less repetition than in some other apps, but the trade-off is that Busuu is well suited for people who wish to move quickly and are already experienced in studying languages. In addition, I very much enjoy the opportunities to correct the spoken and written English of non-native speakers and to similarly have my elementary German corrected. My complaints are minor. For example, when I answer an exercise incorrectly on my iPad, the resulting error message completely obscures my answer, thus preventing me from identifying exactly where I made the error. This is frustrating. I also wish there were more written explanations of how Busuu works, including but not limited to leagues, point systems, and what obligations come with accepting friends. Nevertheless, Busuu representatives will quickly and cordially answer questions submitted through the app. Busuu is well worth the yearly subscription price..Version: 27.34.0

All in all its gud but need to update thisGud to use but need starting alphabets So that the base would be clear.Version: 20.15.1

Excellent, with one request...I have used several language apps over about 3 years but came across busuu only a few months ago. First few weeks have been very positive for me. Good quality, ideal pace and I like having a measure of progress. I’d be interested in knowing if there is a roadmap for new languages that can be shared (even if only broadly indicative). I am specifically interested in Dutch and Romanian. Thanks!.Version: 19.5.0

The best language learning applicationI have tried a large amount of language learning tools - ranging from other apps (Duolingo, Babbel) podcasts (Japanese Pod 101) to more traditional textbook based learning. Busuu is the most effective amongst the online learning mediums. It forces you to practice recognising and using your learning in different contexts - something many other apps have failed to do. It is not as good as face-to-face learning but is significantly cheaper..Version: 20.13.0

Very helpfulGives held until you get it perfect and good explanations for why..Version: 21.5.0

Like itGood understanding throughout the learning video. Makes the languages more understandable..Version: 27.35.0

BusuuThis app is amazing it’s teaching me how to sparks Spanish slot but it’s a little hard but that’s because it’s helping me learn I’ve been writing words in my study book so I can keep track but I’m not just strait of coperying it I try to guess it then I put my answer in and if it says correct I pass but if it goes red I write the answer down so I can try and remember it when it comes up again.Version: 18.0.1

Pretty good but paid full access(Update: I recently bought Premium because of the New Year’s Sale. I haven’t regretted it, the whole app is great and very helpful. Upped my review to 4 stars!) I think that Busuu has a very clean design and well-structured lessons, and I really enjoy using the app. I just wish there was more that didn’t require a subscription—but I do understand why there isn’t. However, from what I’ve seen, Premium is something I would definitely consider buying (especially since it’s not as expensive as that of some other apps) and might actually purchase in the future. So, if you are willing to pay the money, then I recommend this app 100%. If you aren’t, I’d still suggest checking it out, there are some good free lessons that explain grammar and help grow your vocabulary..Version: 20.13.0

Really motivated to keep learning though there are a couple of small nigglesI definitely recommend this app. The content that you learn is far superior than Duolingo, with actual topics and sentences you’d use in real life. I also like how you can set goals and see your progression, I feel a lot more motivated to achieve my daily goal than I have with Duolingo. A couple of points for the developers as there are a few irritating features that need to be fixed: 1. Some of the exercises are vague/worded weirdly and confusing and it takes a few goes to understand what it’s asking. E.g. ‘what word would you use to describe something that can be used and given back - why not put ‘how do you say ‘to rent/borrow’?? 2. Sometimes you are asked to select words from a list but you have to scroll down the page to find them and this is not clear so I end up missing words and failing the question. Please put an arrow or something to make it clear. 3. On Duolingo you are sometimes asked to write whole sentences, this would be useful rather than completing a given sentence..Version: 21.6.0

Great learning plan, learn faster this wayGreat app, very interactive. I’m having fun learning french and other languages!!.Version: 27.36.0

For Free...It’s Not That BadI just downloaded the app and played around a bit and I do like the features that are on there. During my spare time I like to look around and help other people practice. It does kinda annoy me that certain features for example quizzes are only available to premium members (but I can understand why). One thing I would love to have is a chat feature to further practice languages, it will be great to chat and exchange different cultures with people..Version: 16.9.1

Great app for language acquisition!I greatly enjoyed my first steps learning French. The app is very comprehensive and well structured. Good for learning all macro areas, speaking, listening, reading and writing another language..Version: 20.3.0

BusuuMuy buena aplicación para aprender idiomas, me gusta que las grabaciones de voz no son de máquinas, lo que ayuda agudizar el oído en la pronunciación por personas nativas del idioma..Version: 27.36.0

The best language learning appBusuu seems to apply principles of the Pimsler method and offers a good sense of immersion to help you form the neural connections necessary to learn a new language. I also love the certifications..Version: 27.39.1

Excellent way to learn SpanishI am floored by how good this app is (for Spanish). The course is structured extremely well and contains everything you want. The lessons are great. You get a really wide variety of questions that exercise all of the skills you need to develop, from listening comprehension to vocabulary recall to “fill out this sentence with the right form of the verb”. My favourite thing is that you learn a new grammatical concept every lesson. It actually explains it to you (rather than assuming you’re terrified of grammar), then gives you questions that require you to use it in context, which helps you internalise it. Not only does it keep track of your vocab so you can learn efficiently through spaced repetition, it does the same thing for the grammar you learn, so you don’t forget it either. Another enjoyable part is that at the end of each lesson, it asks you to come up with your own sentence in response to a prompt. I think this is extremely beneficial because the goal is to be able to express yourself, so it is important to actually produce sentences. These sentences are corrected by other users of the app, and the whole thing is good fun. I’d recommend this strongly (especially compared to Duolingo)..Version: 20.8.0

Very easy and funVery easy to use and learn a language. It is fun and very practical. Wish it has more languages:).Version: 24.22.0

Fun learning experienceJust great!.Version: 13.7.1

Best for beginnersHonestly this app takes the cake. It actually gives helpful tips on how to pronounce each letter and tells you why the language is constructed the way it is instead of just leaving you guessing like duolingo does. I’m only doing the standard free access but it’s already 100x better than any other app I’ve used. Great find especially for a beginner!.Version: 23.2.0

Short fun usefulSo far I’m liking the approach of learning a new language. Lessons are short, fun and useful. I also like the community of learners where we have an opportunity to provide feedback/comments on the lesson exercises we complete..Version: 27.35.0

Wonderful~Good tool to learn another language☀️.Version: 13.8

Better than DuolingoThis app is well worth the money. I began using Duolingo but eventually got bored, as progressing through each lesson felt like a grind. Progressing through this is very fun, and you also see your progress right away. I’ve learned so much more grammar compared to Duolingo which has spiked my confidence completely. Using this as well as other apps such as Pimsleur and any flash card app will get you exactly where you need to be. 11/10..Version: 20.13.0

TopGreat app..Version: 27.35.0

Actually amazing!I’ve been using the app to learning Spanish for about a month now after using dualingo for about half a year and this is so much better. There are proper lessons and I’m learning useful sentences for when I visit Spain. The grammar explanations are great, I now understand why certain sentences and words are structured the way they are. On dualingo I feelt I was just learning random words without understanding how to connect them. Also dualingo was a really punishing way to learn (I think developed fear of making mistakes). Where as this app has a more nurturing user experience. I’m also enjoying the native speakers review. Brings a bit of a social element to the app. Also makes me feel smart, like an English teacher 🤓 love it. Thank you so much for making language learning easy and accessible. I’m sticking with this one.Version: 27.1.3

Best Language App Out There!I just have to say bluntly that this app is incredibly effective and beneficial. No matter the language you are learning, it teaches you actual grammar concepts and how to use them, which I find remarkable. As far as I know, no other language app on the ’App Store’ teaches you a language in that amount of detail. I am learning Japanese on ’Busuu’ and I find it amazingly helpful and effective. I have tried a number of language apps to learn Japanese and apps specific to learning Japanese, and none match the matter of excellence and quality this app brings. I have yet to complete the Japanese course, but I have tried out a few of the last lessons on the Japanese course, and the Japanese they are speaking are actually very advanced, even for English! The dialogue even expects you to know what the people in the text are saying, without Rōmaji! (Rōmaji is the Latin aid of Japanese words. Example: ‘たこ’ is ‘Tako’ in Rōmaji, and ‘Tako’ means octopus in English.) This app really leads you to having an advanced foundation and in some cases, I believe can lead to fluency! I highly recommend this app and have had so much improvement in my Japanese! This app makes you actually ”want” to learn a foreign language and this app makes it easy by giving you bite-sized lessons! I really enjoy this app and am looking forward to seeing what other amazing things I can say and do in other countries, all from the help of this app!.Version: 21.7.0

Just YES.Busuu Is a great app💖! Reading other reviews, paying might seem worth it. Although I didn’t pay, I’m still progressing really well with the language I’m learning (Japanese/日本語). Totally worth downloading! 🌸.Version: 23.7.0

I’m quitting Duolingo for thisIf you want quality, tailored language learning with a supportive community and practical grammatical skills included, Busuu blows the competition right out the door. I started learning German on Duolingo in March 2023, and it initially went quite well. I was learning new words a lot and the lessons were interesting but they soon got repetitive, and focused too much on revision. I wanted to learn new words - fast. Busuu gave me this opportunity thanks to the various built in tips that give more depth to where the words come from, and crucially give the ability to recognise patterns in words which Duolingo never gave. I’m so impressed that I’m going to start a subscription soon!.Version: 27.35.0

ExcellentI have tried a few from Rosetta atone to Duolingo. Busuu is really great for start out. Currently learning Russian. Lots of interactive lessons, native speakers and community help. Do remember its not the only tool you should use but if your just starting get it. I bought the year as it was on sale for half price. 100% reccomended..Version: 27.28.0

Actually Great For LearningIt might just be my learning style, but this is by far the best app that I have found so far. I know there are probably many people saying the same thing about all the different apps out there, but you can test all of them out on a free trial anyways to see which one works best for you. Therefore, I am writing this to make sure that you at least give this one a try. I have been trying Duolingo, Babbel, Rosetta Stone, Memrise, and some others. However, I have an actual hardcopy work book that refered me to this app and it’s the best. I like it because it actually tells you the “why” and not just the “what”. It stops every so often to explain grammar and conjugation, which I didn’t see much of in other apps. Other apps just want you to use it enough until you figure it out for yourself, but my time and brain doesn’t allow me to learn in this way. I learn by having things explained to me, memorizing, and then repeating/practicing for long term memory. Other apps seem to start with the last step. This app also has many different lesson styles, which keep it interesting. Most comprehensive app so far..Version: 18.1.0

Bussu is the bestI have been tried to learn English for two years , and I was been upset before I use bussu . Now I'm happy because I am learning English with bussu . It is the best way to learn . I hope getting the best.now I can speak but I am not fluent and I have problem with hearing. I am sure it would be easy and well..Version: 13.7.1

After testing a few language apps this is my first purchaseBig fan of the community features, the customer support and the price in comparison to Duolingo and Drops. Excited for the future of this app..Version: 24.19.0

Great platform to learn and teach languagesI especially enjoy correcting English language submitted by other language learner..Version: 20.14.0

Great AppSimple lessons enabling continuous progress to learn a new language. Spanish, French & English are great. Many more available but I have not tried them as of yet..Version: 27.36.0

Probably the best language learning appPeople are drawn to Duolingo because it’s free, I totally get it. And no shade to them, because I think that they serve a purpose. But if you’re serious about learning how to confidently converse in another language, Busuu is where it’s at. It’s very reasonably priced considering what you actually get with a premium membership. The app itself functions super well, have not experienced any issues in a month of using it. The layout is great also, very user friendly. It’s so helpful to be able to have your writing and/or speaking exercises corrected by native speakers. It’s such a valuable resource. The lessons are paced perfectly, too. I’ve tried a few language learning apps in my day, and let me tell ya, I think Busuu is the winner. I like Mango quite a bit too, for different reasons. And one suggestion I would make to Busuu would be to have a pronunciation breakdown pop up by clicking on a word. The native speakers are excellent and speak clearly, but it would just help quite a bit. Especially with French, yikes... All in all, would highly recommend! Busuu doesn’t get enough hype!.Version: 22.0.0

Apprendre une langue avec BusuuLes exercices sont bien structurés,la plateforme nous permet de mémoriser les mots en révisant ,c’est génial!.Version: 27.36.0

InnovativeUnlike other language learning apps Busuu also has a community dimension. Once you have completed the basic levels you are required to write/speak briefly about a topic in the chosen language. I think this is a great addition as it is then published on a page for other learners to see and provide real time feedback. This also helps you to communicate with native speakers and understand the mistakes you have made from the point of view of a native/ advanced speaker. This in turn helps you to write/speak in the language more confidently and freely within the parameters of a real conversation. It’s great! Great idea, very innovative! The language learning community is also very supportive and friendly, which makes you want to learn even more. I recommend to those who already have knowledge of a language but have never had the opportunity to practice with native speakers or who just need a boost of confidence and positive reinforcement in their language of choice..Version: 24.7.0

Better than DuoI never leave reviews because I think they’re irrelevant, but I know that I’ve tried so many different apps to learn languages in the past and this one is by far the best. Right now I’m learning French across three different apps, and while I think they’re all great, this one is my favorite for three reasons. 1. It teaches you conversational French (Spanish, English, etc.) before moving into the finer details, where as other apps tend to focus on academic speaking. 2. Busuu often has you say the words that you’re learning for native speakers to correct, which is wholly helpful. And 3. While it prompts you to buy its premium package, it never forces you to buy it to continue with lessons which I run into often on language apps. Yes, you have to watch some ads to do your lessons but they are short and don’t take more than 30 seconds total. Overall I’ve tried a ton of different apps for languages but this one is by far the most useful if you’re just getting started in another language!!! Thanks :).Version: 27.36.0

Love it!Busuu is not like any other language learning app i’ve ever used. Not only do they have a community where native speakers of the language you are trying to learn can help and correct your writing and speaking, but it provides you with a personalised study plan and official certificates, which I find is just amazing. My target language is Japanese and in Busuu, they explain when some words or phrases can only be used informally or formally. It’s really helpful!.Version: 24.18.0

Best Language Learning App Ever! This app is one of the best apps I’ve tried. I’ve tried many such as Duolingo, which only taught you simples and was not very good at helping you remember things. This app exercises your mind and really helps with learning languages! It also has levels and chapters, which help organize it. Im also glad it doesn’t ONLY teach you the basics, it has levels for the basics to professional. It really helps me remember each letter, and helps make it much simpler! My friend also tried Duolingo, which she went to learn Spanish because I speak both English and Spanish, Duolingo did not help her at all, but after 1 day of learning off of Busuu, she showed me how she already could form an entire sentence in Spanish over text and voice. It is also FREE! It also allows you to talk to people who speak the language you are learning. I really love this app and it’s really helped me learn a lot of Korean (which I have been studying for only 3 days now). It really does get the job done, and it doesn’t get boring or tiring at all. I definitely recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 27.37.0

Rather good Spanish, from Spain, programPros: I enjoyed having many listening exercises involving native speakers to help train my ear. There were also opportunities to record myself speaking the target language, and to have my speech corrected by native speakers. Both these factors were valuable. Cons: First, For me, there wasn’t enough explanation and repetition of the grammar rules. Second, some of the questions were rather vague as to what was needed to answer correctly. Third, the course is Euro-centric. The Spanish taught is that which is spoken in Spain. Many of the expressions wouldn’t be used in Latin America. It would have been nice if there had been a Latin American Spanish option. Many of the English expressions are not used in the US either. -Fancy, for example, is not a verb here. Fourth, I paid for a six month course, but now that I have reached my goal, over a month early, I am no longer able to access the videos. Why? I feel a little short-changed in that regard. Overall, this is a good course that could, and should, be better..Version: 23.4.0

Brand New UserHello, I just found this app about a month ago, but I didn’t really interact with it till about 1 week ago when I allowed the notifications to appear. Once I started getting daily reminders and started following the lesson plan, my language ability (Chinese) quadrupled. I had been watching Chinese drama’s with English subtitles for about 5 months to get use to the different sounds/tones. I could recognize a few words just from repetition, but if the subtitles were not correct it was useless. After downloading several apps that offered Korean (also learning) and Chinese I found this was the best one for me. The lesson plans are straightforward and with the way it’s set up it really makes it easy to learn. In addition to the lessons, you can make flash cards to practice your vocabulary/learned sentences, practice your writing in pinyin or hanzi. You are also able to retake lessons or quizzes to help you refresh, as much as you want. I’m only in chapter 4 of 14 for Mandarin beginners, but I have already learned a lot. I can recognize and understand many sentences in my Chinese drama’s, I can point out and understand some of the hanzi if I am using Chinese/Mandarin subtitles for English speaking shows, etc. I decided to upgrade to premium after using the free version for a week (wanted to support the app makers) and hope to continue progressing rapidly. If looking for a language app I would highly recommend this one!.Version: 27.3.0

Better than duolingoI’m loving Busuu so far. It’s a refreshing take on learning a language vs what many other apps tend to do. This one actually includes real photos with their vocabulary, which helps solidify the language better in your mind vs mentally translating it to English first. They also have conversation demos spoken by actual ppl so you can pick up the proper inflections. AND there is a social option where every once in a while you are offered to put something out there for native speakers to read/listen and correct if needed. You, in turn, can help others by correcting their work as well. Update: I dropped my rating down by a star because while I do still love it, I feel like this lessons are only giving you the basics of what they expect you to learn? You get some vocabulary, but no practice on sentence structure for how to use it. So when the dialogue comes around, all I can catch are the few words I learned and I have no idea what they are actually talking about and what is other vocab I wasn’t taught and what are all these sentence particles I was never shown. I wish there would be a better breakdown of grammar and sentence structure because while the lessons do a great job at holding your hand in the beginning, I feel a little thrown off a cliff now..Version: 22.4.0

Japanese has never been so fun!The app is very interactive and makes the otherwise tiresome process of memorizing and practice a lot more fun!.Version: 22.1.0

The only language app I’ve ever paid forHi! I bought the premium Busuu after one day of usage. I was really excited about the community aspect of the app and that native speakers could correct my work. I am learning Japanese and the only gripe I have is that more vocabulary isn’t included in the flash cards. The lessons do an amazing job of introducing new words throughout but I never write them down because I go ‘oh, these will be in the flash cards that I can review at any time’ but they never are and they’re not counted in the fluency tracker. I am loving the writing and grammar lessons—I can read and write in Hiragana now!!! How cool is that?!?!? I just don’t know what very many words mean. I’m two weeks in to learning and I spend about 30-60 minutes every day on the app. I am hoping future lessons cover more words, otherwise I’ll just go back through and write down all the words that are thrown in and make my own flash cards :) which wouldn’t be hard and I am happy to do but it would be nice to have them as part of my digital library too. Thanks, Busuu! I am really excited for my Japan trip next year and I think I will be well prepared!.Version: 23.7.0

Love it! A few things to note; The app is amazing, really helps me with Portuguese. But I just want to say one thing, on mobile, when you are completing type-in tasks, press the return button to continue (it confused me a bit at first but just press the return button). Wonderful! 5 stars! Totally recommend it! Although, I do have the premium version. I say that it worth it, really great!.Version: 19.7.1

Language; japaneseSo far I’m finding this app interesting, I enjoy having to repeat words through the speaker. The issue I have is that some of the voice clips can be hard to understand as the person talks too fast, mainly with long phrases. Also some of the review questions marked me as incorrect even though it was correct, due to a random space that I wouldn’t think to type from listening to a voice clip or I used the wrong method of writing i.e. writing in romanji instead of hiragana and same the other way around..Version: 17.2.0

Good, but not without flawsI have given 4 stars because I feel that Busuu is one of the best language apps out there. It’s has one of the best features I’ve seen on a language app, the writing and speaking exercises which are then corrected by native speakers. The lessons are well organised and there’s is no doubt that if you’re a beginner you will get a lot out Busuu. I feel like it’s the best app out there to get you to A2 in a language. Now, on to the flaws. -The vocabulary is not particularly extensive. I am studying the B1 lessons and I’m only showing 600 words, whereas on Fluent Forever I was over 600 words much sooner. -The vocabulary reviews do not incorporate full sentences. Again, it makes it harder to remember something when you’re not remembering it as part of sentence. That being said the comprehension exercises do help. -The learning curve is waaaay too steep when you hit B1. Suddenly all the lessons are in your target language. I now have to spend time translating some of the words in the explanation or even in the questions before I can answer them. Definitely not an efficient way to learn. This feels like a real oversight from Busuu. -I’m sure this must be a glitch, but the grammar reviews only include A1. My grammar reviews have been stuck on 33 topics for ages, even though I’ve done countless more lessons. This means I’m probably forgetting a lot of that information..Version: 22.18.0

Brilliant app but has one or two problems.I thought that since I’ve been using the Busuu app I’d give some feedback on my experience as a premium customer. I have loved the app genuinely and found it more useful than any app I’ve used before. I think the comprehension idea is great and I love the idea that you can send out something you’ve written and have it marked by natives. However, there are a few things that I do feel need to be worked on. The first thing is the study plan, I think it’s great and setting it out is great but why can’t you have more than one of them? I have one for german but I can’t have a Portuguese one too which i really want. It would be very useful for me considering I’m a premium member to have two study plans ongoing at the same time. The other problem is that you can’t delete courses that you start by accident, I don’t want them on my account if I’ve barely attempted them and I think there should be a delete feature if there isn’t already. Apart from that, keep it up the app is great..Version: 21.7.0

Exceptional program, some quirksOverall this is a very effective language learning system. You take a quick placement quiz to get you in the right part of the lesson plan. I feel they got my level right, especially once I had a few days in. It was challenging but I could do it. The spoken material is clear and often accompanied by video. It is real people speaking, and not cartoon voices. That’s a big deal. Each lesson builds new skills while reinforcing the fundamentals. There is a streak/league component but there is no pressure with it. The leagues are there to give you an idea of how much study you are doing, and how consistent you are. Do three lessons a day and you will be in the bronze/silver range. Don’t sweat it. The quirks are more about the interface. After you answer certain questions some of the pop up boxes cover up the example so you can’t see how you answered. You can only click to move to the next one. Some of the word fill-in questions won’t let you undo the word placement. It wouldn’t hurt to provide feedback option if you think there is an error or problem with a question. These things are minor and seem to be worse on the iPad interface. None of it has a big impact on the learning side. I just hope they keep working on UI..Version: 27.35.0

Best Language App Out There!I'm a grammar fiend and so find most apps lacking for learning a new language. The grammar lessons have been throughout and really added to my education. Plus getting near instant feedback from native speakers has made it great. Well worth purchasing a plan. I feel much more confident in my German skills even just after a month! Only few things I wish the app had - ability to message people/converse orally as I always feel this is lacking though the app does have great practice for speaking, but being able to hold a dialogue would be great. Also on the app being able to refer back to lesson content without having to actually do them again would be beneficial..Version: 13.7.1

A gem of an appI’m using Busuu to learn French and loving it. It’s entertaining, motivating and cleverly conceived, with authentic texts and conversations, all packaged in a colourful and intuitive app. The progress is not rigid: you can move forward through the lessons and go backwards too. I love the evidence that the texts and lessons are being updated and modernised. For instance, there’s a lesson about the lockdown in France..Version: 27.3.0

Love this app! Quality learningI really enjoy the different learning aspects of the app. It’s great you can connect with other community members too, and get real life speakers to correct your grammar. I actually love to help others too and give back and correct English!.Version: 25.23.0

Excellent language learning appBusuu is an excellent language learning app exposing the language learner to their chosen language via spoken and written modalities. It gives the leaner easy to understand tuition that is at the right level of complexity and amount so the learner is neither overwhelmed or bored by the language learning exercises. It provides well structured and paced language learning that helps the language learner progress in a rewarding way and to keep motivated. It also utilises peer support getting the language learners to participate in the learning process of other language learners. Busuu is good language learning resource that can help language learners on their learning journey..Version: 27.25.0

Deeper learning than other language appsFantastic learning experience, assessing other users learning from all over the world is an amazing feature. Conversational, daily life focus is intuitive and great if you have some basics already of the language you’re wanting to learn. Paywalls & advertisements are annoying, app should be collectively funded & owned and always free to download & use. Developers need to engage with people working on survival of indigenous languages to bring them into this app, not just most common languages. The future success of this app lies in it’s ability to collectivise, not monetise, and to prioritise indigenous language proliferation..Version: 22.11.0

My go-to app for German.(50yo male Realtor from NY) Busuu has really helped push my language learning to a new level, especially with conversational German. I take a private lesson once a week and even my teacher is impressed with my language learning, and she’s from Germany. I use a couple paid apps, but I ultimately end up using this one 90% of the time. I still use the other ones because there’s no “one app” that’ll teach you everything. But if you want one app, I would say this Busuu is it. Once in a while there will be a word or phrase that isn’t quite right. But it’s usually not an issue. In any language, no one speaks perfectly all the time. There are frequent updates to lessons, even the ones you’ve already completed. So I would recommend that once in a while, go back to the ones you have already done and do them again. You will learn something new, even if they are in the very beginning. The best advice I could give would be, do not rush through it. You’re learning a language, not playing a video game. The goal is not to finish, but to actually understand what you are learning and saying. Viel Glück!.Version: 24.3.0

Amazing app!!This app is so incredible!! I’m currently learning French - Bonsoir, cette application est tres super!! I learnt that just 20 minutes ago!! I loved the app so much I brought the premium version which just means you get to unlock more benefits but it really doesn’t make a difference as everything is still free!! You can help other people trying to learn the language you are fluent in. Like correct them and give them ratings and stuff. And people from France or whatever language you are learning they can help you and correct you if you get something wrong!!! U can learn languages from French and Spanish - Arabic and Turkish!! I recommend this app I love it Merci..Version: 20.7.0

ImpressedWhat I really like, and feel is unique to Busuu, is the way you are introduced to the community and community interaction. I’m not a person that necessarily loves learning languages. With other apps the learning is very much one way and you can join the community if you want for extra support. But it‘s not built in like with Busuu and especially important, is that you can help others! This does two things: 1) it connects you with others, and shows you others are learning and making mistakes…just like you and 2) it can be a confidence booster when you go in and review others as you switch roles from being the learner to being the expert. Especially after lots of mistakes or tough sections this is welcomed. Busuu has all the other things I like in an app; the explanations are good, you can log in and accomplish what feels like a lot in a short period of time. You can easily accomplish lessons in between tasks. Some other apps, the lessons are too long that I always feel I can‘t get to them unless I really have time to sit with it. Here I feel it‘s very fast and easy to get into the app and directly into learning..Version: 27.34.0

Must trySo engaged Can’t stop learning.Version: 27.19.0

Meilleure Application pour apprendre les langes!J’ai essayée plusieurs applications soient elles n’étaient pas à jour ou avec des mots qui existent pas ou bien souvent des bugs des erreurs comme Duolingo par exemple! Et j’en passe! Busuu sur cette application… Ils expliquent même sur cette apps comment pronnoncer les lettres avec des vidéos comment positionner notre langue lorsqu’on prononce c’est bien expliqué et bien décris je le recommande fortement! J’adore!!!.Version: 27.36.0

Needs many fixesFirst of Busuu needs a simple feedback option. I can’t find a way to communicate, so I’m doing it here. This app is full of bugs and areas that need to be improved. My biggest issue is the area where we write messages when correcting exercises. It’s really dysfunctional. It just keeps writing on one line and if very hard to go back and proof read. There are a few other bugs. A new one, I can only see old lessons to be corrected. It won’t update. I would be nice if you guys put more effort in to improving this app since you want people to pay.Version: 27.3.0

Great language learning resource!I 100% recommend this app for those who would like to learn a language enough to understand some news reports and videos and grammar. Unlike Duolingo and some other apps, it actually teaches phrases that are useful, and not only is it vocabulary based, it teaches you grammar as well! I have learnt to form sentences in German using correct grammar most of the time just with this app, since when you learn a new word, it shows which “the” to use so you know the gender of the word too! Use this app and see how quickly you can start communicating with natives!.Version: 22.16.0

Easy to useRelevant lessons, but like with any skill, language learning requires dedication and discipline. Bussuu can only help if you put the time and effort in..Version: 27.12.0

Much better than duolingoMuch prefer this to duolingo as an app for language study. Interface is very user friendly, and the content is brilliant. I love that it teaches you grammar as you go along, as well as teaching you the most important things first, things you can actually use to build sentences in your head. Duolingo doesn’t do this so my advice is to use Busuu if you’re ready to get more serious about language learning. If you want to get the most of your studies though it’s important to diversify your language tools. I use Busuu for language study, Lingvist for vocabulary and Glossika for sentence mining. Using just one source will only take you so far when learning a language..Version: 22.7.0

Good and EasyIt’s good but if you don’t have Premium then you missing a lot of steps to make it even easier to learn the new language. Other than that I would recommend if you are trying to learn a new language. 👍🏻.Version: 17.3.0

Different way of learningI use a number of different language apps. I find Busuu a really different way to learn. It’s alway good to mix it up! I think there is a lot of room for improvement though. I enjoy apps that are always improving over Busuu but as I said it’s a different way of learning..Version: 20.11.0

My honest opinions:I’ve used Duolingo, Drops, Memrise, Babbel and other language learning apps. None of them have been as effective and addicting as Busuu. Busuu is unique in that it’s community focussed- allowing its users to connect with each other, all sharing their advice, corrections and support. Yes, the app costs money, but if you’re serious about learning a language (and you have the funds), it’s a worthwhile investment. Honestly, just try out Busuu. Without paying, you can complete a few elementary lessons in your chosen language and check out the community features. If you’re anything like me, you’ll love getting feedback from others and returning the favour! I’ve learnt so much with this app in just two short days! Their German course is fantastic. The app uses algorithms to determine what vocabulary and grammar you are needing to practise. Other language learning apps don’t appear to do this so well. Anyways, thanks for reading my long rant. I definitely recommend this app to anyone wanting to learn a language, and of course the only reason I don’t give it five stars is because 1. It’s expensive. 2. It uses stock images and footage for the most part. Thanks and good luck on your learning journey!.Version: 26.2.0

Great app! Two recommendations…I really love this app. I am studying Spanish & it has helped a lot & motivated me to continue practicing. I love the community aspect of it too, learning from native Spanish speakers. Just two things I would really love is that on the practicing pages, when you have to fill in the gaps for the sentences or for similar questions, please could you offer the English translation as well as the correct Spanish sentence. Sometimes I end up guessing the Spanish words and still having no clue what it translates to in English! Also, to better understand sentence structure, I think it would be helpful to have a literal English translation for the sentence as well as the most sensible translation (for example Te llamo está mañana - You I call this morning - I will call you this morning).Version: 25.12.0

RatingHi it’s Sophia Busuu is very good but u should make it more fun bc I do Duolingo and I find it really fun that’s why I like doing it a lot bc I’m going on a trip to Mexico so I need to learn lots.Version: 27.39.1

Best App for Language learningI have been using Busuu to lean French and it hasn’t disappointed. It is by far the BEST add-on to supplement language learning. Feel like the developers actually care about languages and the learning and the process, rather than finding sneaky ways to get you to pay, upgrade, buy gems, hearts, watch adds and ultimately pay pay pay (#duolingo). Fantastic app and my only request would be to add more languages (Norwegian - as this is what I’m learning now). More than enough content and lessons to keep the free version, but if you do decide to pay, you get a lot more for your money than other apps in my opinion..Version: 27.25.0

BUSUU🥇💖💖💖💖💖Busuu is a great app. I love how busuu walks you through speaking new languages. I also love that it shows pictures to go along with the words and how busuu will translate the new language that you are learning into the language that you already speak. I also love how busuu has the “listen and repeat” stages where you can repeat the new language you are learning so that you can learn how to actually say the new word that you have learned. I love how busuu has added the buddying thing. That way, you and your buddy can help each other out in learning new languages. And they even pull up the buddies that are learning the language that you already know, and that speak the language that you are learning! 😀 And busuu is even FREE. Now you don’t have to waste your money on other dumb apps that cost like a million dollars every year. I was wanting to learn German because half of my family was from Germany. I was looking for apps that would teach me this, but all of them costed money-until I found busuu. I would definitely recommend busuu to others in need of learning new languages. It is a great way to learn, AND A GREAT WAY TO HAVE FUN WHILE DOING IT!!!!!😁😁😁😁😁.Version: 19.3.0

A fun and social way of learning new languagesYou can use this app for free as a basic level. There is a subscription to different tiers of learning should you wish to do so more seriously. It seems a very well thought out application it’s quite fun to use you have the opportunity of engaging with other people also learning languages across the globe and the higher levels of subscription offer you personalised study plans and realistic goals to achieve. It was different approaches whether you’re learning language just for fun or trying to do it at a more academic level. I’ll update this review and let you know what I did manage to learn a foreign language! With this application..Version: 19.7.1

Love the updated versionKeep up the good work!.Version: 27.2.1

Perfect for me learning Spanish as a native English speakerI adore Busuu! I was having a really tough time learning Spanish with classes in the official language school in Spain. There were lots of holes in the grammar theory in those classes. Busuu is perfect for me learning Spanish as a native English speaker because it compares to English grammar, which I know as an English language teacher, and it builds up wholly..Version: 24.5.1
