✓ Basic fixes would make this worth usingWhat I’d really like is to be able log in. For some reason, I can hardly make the app recognize when I click on the login and password fields. Come on. Paid $3.99 to struggle to even sign up. That one fix will make up for so much. Please do it and then I’ll update my review. A lot people will continue to hate on this app and feel cheated when it’s really a super cool thing to have!.Version: 0.2.1

✓ Nope andddd NopeLiterally the most useless thing I have used in a long time. - longest...or just wont... load - list view won’t show you the location - it is actually called falling fruit but 90% of the markers are just trees... everyday trees. Why would I ever need to know where to go to look at a tree? - search for edible options has no categories but instead genus listings... does anyone know how many trees have the name cherry in them. - ooh and the edible list search results are non-edibles - registration is a nightmare. Why do I need a password when I have the app? Is someone going to hack my falling fruit app to find normal trees? Are these people elves?.Version: 0.2.1

✓ Waste of moneyGreat idea but so poorly executed I can't believe I wasted $7 on this. Can't search by fruit type and if you do eventually find what you're after in the list (as the clickable map is terrible) you can't actually go to its location you can only see that it's X distance from you!! Can't save any finds in your favourites to come back and check on. Clunky and awful and I wish I'd not wasted my money..Version: 0.1

✓ Has great potential but…Unfortunately very buggy and doesn’t look like it’s being updated any more. - GPS only finds my location if I tap on the location search bar first - once GPS tracking mode is turned on, it repeatedly zooms back to my location even if I want to scroll around - always defaults to Boulder, Colorado (I live in the UK and my home location on the website is set to a UK location) - random in-app notifications steal focus away from drop down boxes so they become impossible to change - the “List” view offers no way to show the marker on the map, so is essentially useless.Version: 0.2.1

✓ App is faultyI was so excited about the potential of this app so you can imagine my disappointment that I cannot even use it. I signed up as instructed and clicked the Send Confirmation button and I waited. And waited. And am still waiting a day later. I tried to sign in but it doesn't recognize my email address since I never got the confirmation email. I tried to re-register but it won't let me due to the fact that my email address has already been used. I went on App Support and tried 5 times to have the confirmation re-sent. All to no avail. ✓ Could be a great app but waste of money as it is nowShame it’s not being updated as it’s a great little app to add pics, info and coordinates and you can choose whether the plant is edible and such other info. however terribly unresponsive, takes ages to launch the action after pressing a button. take a photo option takes at least a min to launch and no option to add photos after saving a location. there are free apps that’s limited but more responsive, waste of £4 sadly.Version: 0.2.1

Due to the well-written negative reviews I was hesitant to buy the app, but I really wanted to support the concept so I figured 4$ was worth the risk. Fortunately, SO FAR, everything is working as intended. The initial registration email took a bit longer to arrive than modern expectations allow patience for but it did arrive within the hour and I signed into the app without issue. The map content, for me living in a densely populated city, could leave something to be desired, but that isn’t the app’s fault since it’s user sourced content-if you want the app to have UTD local content, don’t complain others haven’t served it to you; get out there and participate. ✓ So much promise. But severely lackingYou can tell this app is someone’s side hobby. Someone with limited app development skills. Super bugged, extremely tedious. Always resets to Boulder Colorado upon opening. Has a filter by fruit search that never works so there are often dozens of tags that you have to click on to find your fruit of interest and even when you find something, you can’t save that tag for future reference. Almost not useful features. I would hope that since it’s a paid app, some of that money would go into development.
