MyChart for Negative User Reviews

ContentMy MFT is good for giving me information regarding my visits to Manchester Royal Infirmary. Why can it not give a total picture of my health, incorporating information on the NHS app and Patient Access. Also external tests, authorised by MRI, do not appear in MyMFT or any of the other apps mentioned. There is a lack of connectivity between different departments of the NHS. This is not surprising as recently I had minor surgery in the Dermatology unit in Oldham and my consultant at the MRI didn’t know about this. I know this is not directly linked to MyMFT but highlights the connectivity issue. Surely, a system could be developed using your NHS number to bring things together..Version: 10.7.3

LoadingThus app is crap, it takes this app 10 minutes to load your test results. I did 10 test so each test takes about 10 minutes to load, what a joke.Version: 10.7.1

Verification Code to Cell Phone Still Not WorkingI have on many occasions tried to get my cell phone verified including discussing this situation with the MyChart support group however MyChart still has not verified my cell phone and yet my cell phone is identified as my primary means of communication..Version: 10.7.1

Horrible interface, poor functionalityMyChart looks juvenile and cartoonish and acts that way. The interface is just horrible and it’s not easy to find information. In addition, it doesn’t properly integrate with provider systems. This means that while my office visits show up, important medical procedures are NOT included. For example, an endoscopy or colonoscopy appointment that requires preparation. I didn’t realize this so spent a lot of time trying to confirm my appointment really existed. Further, when a doctor makes a referral and I complete that referral activity (like lab work), it continues to show up as a task to do even though it should automatically be removed once the results are reported since I stayed within the same provider system. I followed instructions to contact my provider to fix it and they tell me they can’t do anything on their end. This means what’s in MyChart is not an accurate record. To me, an inaccurate online record is almost worse than no online record at all because you have to keep checking what’s accurate and why isn’t. Finally, the billing information is also incorrect. I set up a payment plan but when I log in it keeps telling me payment is due now. I honestly can’t believe providers use this system. When I was in another healthcare system they had a different product (or maybe they created their own) and it was much better..Version: 10.2.2

Love my doctorsMy pregnancy didn’t go as well but besides the fact my doctors are wonderful but I wouldn’t recommend giving birth there after 4 5 hours of pushing when I specifically told them he wasn’t coming out they made me squat look in a mirror then had me crunched up standing in a weird way the man that was my doctor wasn’t even my own doctor I found out the day of finally put his hand in me & then finally realized that I was right they needed to use forceps cause they waited way to long then after a month or so I was In a lot of pain they had to give me two surgeries to clean the affected area out after not believing me when I told them that I couldn’t even sit down to breast feed my baby so finally a nurse came over to check on my sons bellybutton to see if it was clearing up she said oh my it smells like yeast & I told her wow that’s me she could smell me across the room finally when I went back to the emergency room they had to rush me Into surgery for the second time they told me if They couldn’t get all the infection out I would have to need a visiting nurse thankfully they got it all out but my vagina will never be the same so don’t give birth there is my advise.Version: 10.2.4

Password does not workI can login via a web browser but not through the app. I have deleted the app and re installed it, and even tried to change/update my password. Still no luck..Version: 10.7.1

Why do the early check in on the app? What’s the point of doing the online check-in inside the app? I got notified to check in early before my appointment with my Dr. I thought, how cool! I can check in before I get to the desk and not have to go through all that when I get there. So I took the time, verified my information, my insurance, took photos front and back of insurance card, typed why I was there, answered the covid questions and submitted it. And done. Then when I got the the front desk the two receptionists said ok now that you are here we have to check you in. I said I don’t have to I’ve already done it online. There response? Doesn’t matter we still have to check you in sir. To which I responded. Then what the heck is the point of checking in early on my phone? The employees said that they don’t know. They don’t understand why they have it either or what the point of it is. Also vented about a new system that they hate and don’t understand it either. Sorry to say but when your own employees don’t understand why and the customers take the time to check in when there is absolutely no point to it. It’s kind of stupid! Whomever the decision maker is in these things obviously doesn’t understand or know how it works either..Version: 10.1.5

Let me schedule appointments and communicate with my kids drs in my chartI love the ease of using MyChart, however, it’s incredibly frustrating that I cannot communicate with my child’s doctor or schedule appointments for them after they turn 13 using the app. I understand privacy laws, however, I am not asking to view personal care information, I am asking to be able to send messages to my child’s doctor and schedule appointments for them through my MyChart. You won’t draw labs without me there or provide immunizations, it’s pretty logical that I would still have access to communicate with my child’s doctor and schedule appointments. If you are going to make me responsible for payment of services and require me to be present, don’t you think I should have access to communicate concerns and schedule appointments in an efficient manner? This system for personal care is wonderful, however, managing the system for kids over the age of 13 is insanely inconvenient and frustrating. Please fix this system..Version: 10.4.1

Good appThe only problem is it constantly asking for verification code. I have switched on and off and on the, “ trust this device “ and still every time..Version: 10.7.2

Write a review responseThe program is cumbersome and not intuitive. Getting a copy of bills to submit to secondary insurance is impossible to get. Having to call so they print it off before I can see it in the program is ridiculous!!! Plus half the time when I call the person doesn’t know what to do and then sends the wrong bills even after the date of the needs were provided. Looks like designers were assigned to different modules of the program and they do not interact well. When working with programmers you need someone to oversee how different modules interact or don’t. System runs amuck if not monitored for flow. Great idea for the program but not easy to search and get information needed easily. Also. When at an appointment, the detail of the appointment disappears until the follow up is completed. This is not helpful at all. Need the appointment visible all the time for details and directions. Email is hard to use, can’t add secondary people to them. Contacts are limited. Responses go unresponded to for days. Have been trying to remove a name from automatically receiving billing messages for months. Why can’t I do this myself? This is my information, i should have control over the dispersamente of it! Overall, great concept , lousy implementation-too disjointed of a robust program..Version: 9.9.3

Missing notesI continually experience difficulty finding information on MyLaheyChart. The latest instance was when I received an email indicating I have a “New Message in My Lahey Chart account.” I logged on to MyLaheyChart and found a note indicating I had a message from my doctor. I clicked on it, and when the Message Center screen appeared, there was an entry in the Conversation section from my doctor with the same date as the email titled “New After Visit Summary”. When I clicked on that entry, a note was displayed stating “…Please click on the visit section above and the corresponding visit date to view your after visit summary…”. I clicked on the Visits section and then clicked on the View After Visit Summary option for the most recent appointment with my doctor and, under Appointment Details it read “No notes exist for this encounter.”. At some future date, without any additional notification, the “After Visit Summary” and “Notes” finally appear on my chart. “After Visit Summary” lists the technical results of the visit. It is the “view notes” from my doctor that provide me with the relevant information that allows me to understand the results of the visit. I feel the system needs to change so it will send out email to patients advising them they have results of their visits only after the results are actually posted..Version: 9.9.2

Patient reviewMay be a bug in the app - suddenly now cannot view test results..Version: 10.7.1

So not impressedI already have the Molina healthcare app which I’m already supposed to be able to do all of this on but now I have to eat up more space on my phone to download yet another app. It isn’t user friendly at all and kept asking me the same questions over and over. I was told with urgency I needed to set this up and answer a questionnaire. When I tried setting it up it asked who my healthcare provider is but they aren’t on your list of providers. I contacted y’all for help and then was told to worry about it later. So which is it? To top it off I’m not sure when my actual appointment is because I set it up for one time and the girl that called gave me two different times from that one. Honestly, get it together! (This doesn’t bode well for faith in a system I already don’t trust.) I honestly don’t trust telehealth appointments because 1) I’m not seeing an actual doctor just a nurse practitioner and 2)I don’t understand how you can diagnose anything accurately without actually examining me. This just doesn’t seem like good healthcare to me but a shortcut to save a buck. For example, I’ve had lower left abdominal pain for the last month and a half, so how do you plan on making a diagnosis without any diagnostic testing? I really have no desire to do this at all but was told it was a requirement of my health plan so we shall see. I’ll give it a whirl and get back to you but so far I’m not impressed in the least..Version: 9.8.2

Tremendously flawedWhile MyChart offers many good features to patients, it is riddled with flaws that make it less than dependable for medical information. Apparently, Novant has multiple info systems that should, but do not link to each other. The user interface also buries some important information deep in its menu system. A consistent error that has yet to be fixed in 2 years is when a user tries to add an appointment to their calendar. For reasons, unexplained, the app adds the appointment to the calendar at GMT rather than local time thus setting the appointment at the incorrect time in every instance and it either needs to be manually adjusted or the patient will miss their date. I’ve brought this to the attention of multiple contacts over the past 2 years but nothing has changed. The e-check in is easy, but I’m constantly asked the exact same questions when I arrive at the appointments. The data is apparently not retained across Novant databases either. While I have been retired for over 5 years, and having multiple appointments since retiring, the Novant system recently showed me as still employed full-time. The whole system is so sloppy I can’t consider it as a reliable system. While I do use it, I still keep separate records..Version: 10.3.2

Can’t find anything now!A few weeks ago, when I started using this, it was brilliant. There was my information, there were my appointments letters, there were my appointments, all logical and easy to find. Today I opened the app to try and find my recent appointment letter. Couldn’t find it. Nothing under ‘Letters’ nothing under “Messages”. Later in the day, during a follow-up call, I needed my hospital number, so I opened the app to try and find that, and couldn’t couldn’t find anywhere. It literally can’t find anything - I’m trying every heading, but there’s nothing. Medical history - nothing, messages - nothing, letters - nothing! I have nothing in writing and now nothing in this stupid app! The follow-ups to appointments, which used to be quite a good amount of information, is now just a small form that basically says “you were seen today” - no more information than that. It’s completely useless, please fix it..Version: 10.3.1

Feedback(1) MyChart needs to add a mailbox option for “drafts” asap. Patients begin to compose and often need to confirm details, or pause and finish later. Without that option right now, your app just deletes everything and users have to start all over from scratch! (2) MyChart needs to add a doctor’s name under “providers” as soon as the patient has a confirmed appt showing up under your “calendar” link. Too many times I’ve needed to reach out with info or a question BEFORE my appt (which these days is months away) but unable to do so until AFTER the appt is over, when MyChart actually adds them. (3) MyChart needs to add an option allowing patients to submit their own corrections or updates to any incorrect data. (Ex I have a huge, unnecessary alert banner saying my Tetanus booster is overdue, but with no option to input data from my PC to show it’s completely up to date, and no option to remove the alert!) And if not an option to submit corrections, then definitely should be an option to remove the alert from my view..Version: 10.1.4

Worst incompetent medical app ever!!!!!Response to developers Shame on you for trying to blame this on my health network. I already talked to my health care providers network, and the fault lays with MyChart. According to my health network, this transfer has been a disaster for them. They have to apologize on your behalf because MyChart has screwed thing up so bad for so many people like myself. I have already contacted MyChart about my situation, all I get is a boiler plate response of wait 1 to 3 weeks. Well it’s been 4 1/2 weeks now and still nothing. The impression from my health network is that this is not what they bargained for when they opted to use Epic’s MyChart. All of Epic’s MyChart medical apps in the Apple App Store have low user rating. This is indicative of poor product quality. Mission Heritage left Follow My Health app for this garbage. Due to the switch over to this app, I can no longer use Follow My Health and I can not use this app because they do not have any of my information. This app is absolutely useless for me and my family. Why on earth would someone shut down the use of the FollowMyHealth app before the “new and improved” MyChart app is ready to use? This app really screwed thing up for my family. The way this transfer is going screams incompetents..Version: 9.7.1

AppApp don’t work at all, like here! Just waste my time!.Version: 10.7.2

MessagesOn Nov 29 i wrote to my radiologist identifying that i was canceling a treatment appointment. That was posted and available for the doctor to read. He didn’t get it and the cost of creating the mold in the simulation was lost because there was a lost communication between us. I also want to complain about the ongoing changes that make it difficult to track information. Time for you guys to get your act together. Stop deploying until you’ve tested the product..Version: 10.7.1

Your Private Health Info not private with Epic systemI learned my private health information is public record to anyone using the Epic (MyChart) system. Epic says you have to grant “sharing” rights with other health facilities & providers. I have no links or shared approvals, so imagine my surprise when a care provider was reading from another facility, from a health system NOT associated with this health system. In fact, I began to ask & the provider had access to EVERY bit of my health record from different states, different health systems, everything! Stuff I never authorized, all public to anyone on any Epic system. No privacy, no HIPAA restrictions or acknowledgments. Unfortunately, even health systems that I never created a portal account with, having info about my health I didn’t know, unrelated physicians were accessing. So, apparently, even if you don’t have portal access, any health-related person with access to the Epic system can invade your most private health information. They justify this violation by saying this improves your health care. Epic lies to us about the individual being required to grant authorization. Invading my most intimate privacy doesn’t make me feel safer..Version: 10.2.7

OK but usability issuesThe biggest usability concern is that integration with 1Password doesn’t work correctly. Both username and password fields are populated while focused on the former but as you tap Done the latter goes blank. Other issue is receiving notifications saying I have a new message when in fact it’s just a reminder about some upcoming event that I’d already been notified about. Time consuming and pointless..Version: 10.7.2

Appointment information not goodI had a lab appointment followed by a doctor apptmt (at CCI). Lab apptmt did not have the DATE or TIME!!! The lab results, charting historical results..Version: 10.7.2

HorribleThis app does not provide instructions to navigate it efficiently. You can’t search for a specific result or show trends. The original app was much more user friendly..Version: 10.7.1

Confusing UXThis app is not well suited to mobiles/ tablets etc. I cannot cut and paste my password in to the text box because the keyboard covers up the login area. Even if I split the keyboard and try to move it, the login are is still not accessible. This means I have to memorise my pw and type it in by hand or go to my laptop to login. There are other design features which render this app hard to use and confusing. Too many navigation buttons which are redundant. What is a conversation? Letters and other notes are randomly allocated. Clearly, this app is optimised for some American system which is not pertinent to our British free system. Also, given the disconnected nature of the NHS in London etc I have had to download 4 or so different apps for my healthcare (for each hospital UCH, Royal Free, Charing X) plus my GP one which oddly provides no useful functionality at all. Needless to say, I have 2 NHS govt apps on top of all the rest. A mess. We only need one app..Version: 10.4.1

MyChartI’m unimpressed with this app. I downloaded it before a hospital procedure, after which I needed a biopsy done. I see no benefits in the app because several weeks after my procedure I received a notification that I had a ‘result’ to view. I expected it to be the biopsy result. But no, it simply informed me that I’d had a colonoscopy in April. I am told my biopsy result was received on June 2nd (and I eventually persuaded the clinician to tell me the result over the phone.) But it isn’t even showing here yet. So there is no benefit to the app that I can see. The NHS is short staffed so if there’s no one available to upload results, let’s not pretend this app is efficient!.Version: 10.5.1

Very useful but limitedI’ve been using this app with LB Memorial Med Ct and found it very useful but limited in what the patient could add information. I find it very useful to keep track of procedures/ tests and reports but only done at that specific site or campus. But it’s limited to the facility that you’re using it. I’ve used other apps that let the patient update vaccines & other tests they’ve had outside of their facility with the notation “added by patient”. This would make it easier to keep your information updated and available to share with your doctors. I’ve tried contacting my Medical Center and they say the doctor’s office has to input that data but we all know how short staff everyone is so that’s not going to happen! Why can’t this App add a section specifically for Patients Remarks? Then we could keep everything in one place. And we need to be able to REMOVE “Reminders” not just “Hide Them”because they pop up again in a month. I’ve had my check up, my vaccines, appointments but they remain forever on the LIST OF REMINDERS! Is there any way to add that Patient Remarks section? If so, I would rate this 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.Version: 10.2.7

Slow to updateI was notified by email on Wednesday that UH was switching from FMH to My Chart and to signup for the mobile app. I did that and now it’s Friday and all of my medical info still has not transferred to the new app from the old app. For example, all my UH doctors and appointments don’t appear. Only my primary care doctor and appointments appears on My Chart. Why send an email to patients before the UH My Chart information ican be viewed and displayed. This is very poor customer service. I don’t want to spend the time on the phone to find out who to talk to and try to resolve the issue. Very aggravating. Update on app It’s been a week since my review of the My Chart app. I realize now that my critical review was of the app design (which is awesome) and it was meant to be of the University Hospitals system for notifying me that the new Epic system was available to use before it was complete. My point in the review was all my information was not completely transferred from the Follow My Health app to the My Chart app without notifying me there would be data issues..Version: 10.4.1

Oxygen readingsThis app doesn’t allow one to insert non-applicable for those tasks which can’t be completed, such as taking an oxygen reading.Version: 10.2.2

Not sure what's the point? It isn't the simplest app to use and it doesn't actually make things easier in terms of interacting with the health provider. Am not sure if that's an issue with the platform or the health provider. For example, after an appointment you get notifications of an after appointment summary but all it says is you attended the appointment. No ACTUAL summary of what was discussed or next steps. You then get that in a letter or a separate email which negates the whole point of the platform. So is it the platform at fault for not having those options or the health provider for not using the platform correctly. Can't tell but either way, I'm giving up on it!.Version: 9.7.1

Unable to see resultsI was very excited about this app at the beginning, but weeks after my teat was done I was unable to see my results. I am very disappointed. Either this is not available to everyone or just doesn’t work period..Version: 10.7.1

AppThis app has helped to keep me informed about test results and information on what medication I need to get updated for refills also you can see upcoming appointments. One thing I have also noticed is that the doctor’s office uses this as a wall to slow feed information to me about medical treatment questions. In the past I would call in they would pass any message to the proper person to handle the questions. With this app they want 48 hours to respond and a lot of the time this process causes more questions than answers because there is no one calling you to make sure they are properly understanding the question or questions because the app allows them to hide behind the wall of the app and answer when they feel like it. It’s like passing information through a crack in a wall and it makes you feel like your talking to an automated system with very generic responses I believe this app makes them lazy and gives them more freedom to put you off. If your use to talking to people in your doctors office this app may change the relationship you have with your doctor and his or her staff. I definitely believe this app is better for the doctors office than it is for the patient. Good luck.Version: 9.9.2

Need feature to remember login info. Do not want to enter every single timePlease add the feature to remember login info, or fingerprint or facial recognition. It’s a pain to enter user name and password every single time!.Version: 9.3.4

Good idea lots of teething problemsI like the idea that I should be able to access my test results letters and appointments but unfortunately they are not always present. My appointments is helpful BUT having a missed put next to a telephone appointment I did not receive and having no way to comment or ask to rearrange because it looks like I missed it - no explanation why I waited from 1300 till 1800 and no contact was made is irritating. I have no problem that this happens but to have no way to solve it is not good. When I rang I received no help - I will try again on Monday!.Version: 10.8.4

Another useless complicated app for us to fill inLaying in bed with COVID today to set this up - it of no use and don’t see how knowing I had my vaccinations an assist me in anyway right now this is just another complex useless product fro ist to complete.Version: 10.1.2

Delighted that the nhs is now in the 21st CenturySo my hospital had this online last year for checking test results, but it was only today that I found out there was an app. This makes things so much easier for me having everything under one profile and the fact that I can access my test results as well as check in for appointments. However there are still some improvements to be made which is why I have given this a 3 star. The app is very slow. As for accessing my test results, I open the window and the app freezes. And so far on the app I have been unable to fully access my tests results as it keeps loading and when I want to leave the window, it crashes which means I have to fully close the app and then restart it again..Version: 10.4.2

New resultsPrescription refills come up as new results..Version: 10.7.2

Login issuesThe app generally works great but it never logs in on the first try. Every time I get an error and have to log in again but without entering the username and password the second time because it actually does log you in the first time, despite the error screen. If it could remember my login information without having to hunt through the list of saved passwords and fix the login error I would change to 4-5 stars. I would also like a print function added so I can print out reports to add to my personal file folders..Version: 10.7.2

On paper it’s great but not quiet there in practiceI have been disappointed with the lack of information you can see. I have had several hospital visits in the last 12 months. You get alerted to an after visit summary, which doesn’t summarise anything. In fact tells you diddly squat. None of my letters from the hospital to the gp appear on MyChart. All it really tells me is the time of my next appointment. I had thought the idea was to give the patient more access to their medical records, but it really doesn’t. I use epic at work, and surely there much be a way of syncing more of that info to MyChart? Otherwise it’s really just a fancy calendar..Version: 10.2.1

Sign up FormYou cannot input text to fill out the sign up form on the sign up page. Ridiculous that this was over looked. Font size does not meet accessibility requirements..Version: 9.4.2

Not easy for the patientI have been debating about providing a review or not, but given I get so much correspondence via it I will. Up until February 2023 I was with another nhs trust perhaps you should look at what others are using - the one I came from was simple easy & reliable from a patient point of view. This is over complicated, not designed from the end user point of view, misleading and most of the time you send me a letter in the post as well. This is a ridiculous waste of NHS funds. I am in complete agreement with online communication - please stop sending me the letters - I am also IT literate having spent my career working for & with some of the largest IT Firms in the world. Each time I get an email to say I have new correspondence my heart sinks I often struggle to find any correspondence if I find it & I have a problem with what’s being said it’s hard to know where to go first. Please if you’re going to keep using MyCare carry out a review as a patient who has a number of different appointments and you might see the flaws for yourselves.Version: 10.6.1

Simple yet flexible design neededA simple interface app, but the ability to delete tasks by user because they are not relevant is needed.Version: 10.2.5

Login problemsI always have difficulty logging in to this app as it does not remember my Use Id & password..Version: 10.7.1

Healthcare is not a gameThe basic concept of this app is good but the execution is terrible. It’s another example of apps being written by computer people out of touch with real life. Unfortunately this isn’t a dating app or other social media plaything, this app involves people’s health and medical treatment and it’s not something medically inexperienced computer geeks should be allowed to play games with - an especially sensitive topic during times of a global pandemic. What’s also unfortunate is that, unlike game apps, we can’t simply choose not to use MyChart, it is the ONLY app where we can see our medical records and interact with our health care providers in a world where face-to-face contact is becoming rare. That thrusts a huge responsibility on the makers of MyChart, one that they all but fail at. The user has zero control over the privacy and accuracy of their medical records or anything else for that matter except the silly option of choosing the color of their screen background. The makers of MyChart hide behind a veil of secrecy, there is absolutely no way to contact them for help, issues, legal matters, etc. They have a monopoly and they are in severe need of government regulation. Our healthcare is too critically important to play games with..Version: 9.3.3

Cannot log in100% know my credentials are correct because I can access on my PC. App just says can’t log in and to try again later. Useless.Version: 10.2.3

Most irritating annoying app EVERWhen you are trying to do something that is really REALLY important such as find out what has been sent to you for an upcoming surgery - it is ridiculously hard to navigate properly. I have never found an app so damned infuriating. I have ended up calling the helpline - so far - 3 times. That is just to log on. Today is even better. I am waiting on info - REALLY IMPORTANT information about a forthcoming operation. I get the message that it is there so go and find it. Didn’t get to read it as it just vanished. It is nowhere to be found. Not in messages, not in letters. Why would it not be stored? Now I have to wait until 9am to see if I can somehow get it resent - what a rubbish stupid system. Why would your content - that is so important - remove itself? Im fuming. What would happen if I wasn’t tech minded - like my father? Is this the way it’s going to be from now on? You can’t even send an email so we can print the letter out. It’s awful. Waste of my time and sent my blood pressure through the roof. I’ve more important things to do than be chasing stuff like this. Total pile of ****.Version: 10.7.1

FAILS TO ADHERE TO PLATFORM GUIDELINESTERRIBLE. One hot mess! Seems like toilet paper thrown at wall and then advertised as something else. Given lack of competition so far, ratings reflect the *naivete of the users rating this (*unfamiliar with the UX guidelines of every major platform and industry UI standards). This app is a hot mess. The juvenile and embarrassingly poor quality illustrations and graphics serve no purpose and slow and hamper usability (the result of not adhering to platform UI guidelines and recommendations), use case is ignored (users right now needing to easily move between organizations are stymied by the lack of thought put into that), tasks are not grouped using industry UI standards (i.e., no application of standards re Info Architecture), and to top it all off, there is no means to report and capture user feedback and user experience for applying to fixing and addressing this clearly amateurish design. This thing is now a subject beginner UX/UI students in public vocational training programs in community colleges and universities are using as an example of design disasters. Summary: one hot mess that clinics should be prepared to spend lots of labor $$$$ fixing, managing, and constructing workarounds for..Version: 10.1.5

Needs a lot of worksProblems in login. Most of features asking to to go to website and leave the app, so it is better to use the website version instead. Delay in updating the testing results as the results show up on the website version and not in the app. I guess I want to remove this app and consider the website version. I hope to return back to this app soon once all issues are solved..Version: 9.5.5

Works ok but a bit clunkyThis app provides information to the patients of a limited number of health service organisations. It’s adequate, providing a range of information including previous and upcoming appointments, post clinic letters and hospital test results. There are similar apps used by other hospitals. If you are referred elsewhere and you will need a second or third app. The NHS App has a more modern look and easier to use interface but less detailed or specific information. So it’s not a substitute for an app provided by a hospital. Worth having but really needs a cleaner interface..Version: 10.8.3

Too hard to loginThe app asks for a long password and a verification code to be entered each time I try to log in. The app also asks you to change the password frequently. This makes the app unusable while not at home, which is when I would use the app..Version: 10.7.1

Information disappears or is changedI have had more info that has disappeared or has been corrected to make me thoroughly frustrated AND make me want to find providers that do not use this app!!! I have had my after visit information changed - sometimes more than once! - I get a message in my email that there is a new MY Chart message but when I go into My Chart it doesn’t always display as a new message!! So I have to hunt for changes!!!! Last week I got a message that my appt was cancelled by the provider. Today I got a message saying I was a no show!!!!!! Once I viewed the cancelation message it disappeared. I could no longer access it. The no show message is no longer available for me to view!!!! I get MyChart messages 2 or 3 times a week. I really liked the appt until it started to expand to try to be all things to patients, providers, billing etc. I am checking my bills closely from now on to insure I do not get billed for cancelled appts and I am screen printing everything!!!!! I was told that original information (pre changed) is stored and is avail to everyone but the patient. I want to know how to access ALL of my records!!!!!.Version: 10.1.4

Fine when it works. The app seems to work for some things, but not other. Got test results fine, but it has hardly ever managed to get my appointments right, resulting in me showing up for surgery at wrong address, and reminders for appointments that has happened nearly a year ago are still there. For me it works as a supplement to proper email and phone comunication with my doctor, but if this was the main mode of contact, it is so unreliable that I would feel unsafe using it, and sometimes still do..Version: 10.2.4

Glitch in appSomehow the app randomly changed my notification email preference. I normally set my email preference as my personal email and weirdly enough it changed my email without me touching the app at all! It changed my email to my business email/school email which is frustrating because I only noticed this after I checked my junk mail in my business/school email and had to fix my email preference through the MyChart website. MyChart has gotten a lot worse ever since the update and revamp. I am 21 years old and well-versed in technology and no app should be this difficult to comprehend. I know how to use the app to its full extent but it’s the app that’s the problem where it doesn’t fully work. I just don’t know why update and revamp the app. What target audience are you trying to reach? You have to put yourself as a consumer and see how you would utilize the app. I personally do not recommend this app after the update; however, if the app went back to its previous platform i would totally recommend it. Any app developer who responds to me has to understand the marketing aspect of this because I have some background knowledge in app developing and marketing..Version: 9.6.4

Tasks and monitoring came in on Day 5 of being positive - uselessI tested positive to COVID-19 on 28 Feb and downloaded the My Chart App the following day, when ACT Health advised me to via SMS. The App was empty, so I started recording my symptoms as ‘Tasks’ (there was no other options for me). My tasks finally showed up in the App on 5 March (Day 5). Before then, I was unable to reach out to anyone about my health concerns while having COVID-19, because the App was empty and each time I called the Care@Home team phone number, it would just sit ‘dead’, or in silence. I called the COVID-19 hotline a few times and they just transferred me through to the Care@Home team each time (yes, I did describe the problems I’d been having trying to connect to them). The longest I waited on the phone for someone to answer, or something to happen, was 27 minutes. I tried calling more than 10 times too. They’re now asking me to ‘Enter Oxygen Saturation Reading’ in the App - but I haven’t been sent an Oximeter, despite my underlying health conditions/concerns. I do have a blood pressure machine, but this was already here; for different health reasons. This is definitely not a very well oiled or organised system. You would think that 2 years into the pandemic, a simple thing, such as an App, would have the bugs ironed out and would work properly - that it would set tasks on time (not 6 days later) and properly monitor the symptoms of people who have tested positive to COVID-19. While I’m still not feeling better from the virus (COVID-19 still has its claws into me), I am feeling much better than I was on Day 0-3. Those are the days I considered going to hospital for breathing difficulties and dehydration, but I was unable to find someone/somewhere to get the advice that I needed. I’m still unable to fulfil my ‘tasks’ in the App too, because I don’t have the medical equipment the App, or ACT Health, presume I do have..Version: 10.1.2

Updating of PrescriptionsMy prescription information should be able to be updated by my general practitioner and my general practitioner. The application cannot be updated by either professional medical source that either prescribe or disperse my essential drugs. CentraCare, the closest hospital, in Central Minnesota can only control the information if I bring in information from either above mentioned source. On my own, as the middle person, could easily tamper with the information making it a dangerous practice. But the application allows this practice through the apps controller. CentraCare should be able to communicate as health practitioners with my providers. So, in short, I am forced to use MyChart. Please check with your primary health source (or other practitioners) and your pharmacist to see if they can send updates directly through the application to the party that controls MyChart. The application should require the manager to directly receive medication information with this vital health function in case of an emergency. I do not recommend this application unless these professional health providers can directly communicate with one another. Anything short of this direct, professional communication is dangerous in a major health event using MyChart by its controller..Version: 10.3.1

Terrible updateI can’t see anything for the results section! I have been in and out of the hospital since June 2023. How come I can not see a single test result?.Version: 10.7.1

My Chart observationsIt does appear to me that nursing staff seem to spend a lot of time imputing medical information in the portable computers which reduces their time to provide normal care for the patients. Appreciate that we are still in “early days” for this extensive system of medical reporting and no doubt changes will ensue as time progresses. It also appears that there is an overload of information supplied to the patient , via letters issued etc. I look forward to the information supply being slimmed as time and experience progress..Version: 10.8.4

HorrendousPenicillin was removed from my allergies. I was told to quit using my EpiPen when stung by a bee, when I’m allergic to bee venom. I brought in my medications twice to woman's family wellness center in Missoula Montana. They never got my medications correct not even when I added or corrected them on the app. “Doctor” I don’t Claire A Frost was the meanest person I have ever met who walked out of my very first appointment with her. I just had my 18th surgery in 8 years. I was, looking for a good general “care” doctor. This is an app where you try and communicate with people who are not healers. This app is biased. This app is racist. It’s sad when you can say the best part about a hospital (Saint Patrick’s) is it’s food. I was banned from defending myself! The doctor lied in her chart notes. Managers wouldn’t call me back. I can’t have children. I am so sick. I am so tired of doing this all on my own. This app didn’t make things easier I was just able to read lies! It took years for me to be diagnosed! Everyone treated me like I was making it up! When I called to try and get into this app I was transferred twice on hold for an hour and not told why I couldn’t use the app anymore. This app treats women that can’t have children like they are not worthy of compassion and care!.Version: 9.9.3

Good idea but early daysStarted using this app for my king’s college hospital appointments and consultations. It’s a great idea and the concept is sound, I understand the patient front end links in with a trust back end that coordinates the engagement, but it’s confusing and I get so many prompts and requests to do one thing or the other that often conflict with my letters and appointments. For example, I have to go into hospital for a FBC, but the app is saying I’m going to get a call to discuss this and that I shouldn’t attend. How can we discuss the results of the FBC if I’ve not been into hospital to get the test done??? Just a bit confusing..Version: 10.6.4

VerificationFor some reason lately i have to verify my cell phone when I already checked off as trusted device every single time i open app 🙄.Version: 10.7.2

Great App & Functionality With One Noteworthy FlawIve had this App for my previous Healthcare provider, Atrius Health. It’s worked pretty much flawlessly since I installed it several years ago. I get my test results promptly and can communicate with any of my doctors quite easily as well as schedule and cancel any appointments. The one flaw, major in my opinion, is there is no way, at least no easy way, to change the Healthcare Provider. Two years ago, our insurance changed and our new Healthcare Provider uses this App as well, but my settings and login are connected to my previous company and there no way I’ve been able to find to change my login to my new provider. When I go to their webpage where you see the “try our App, install here” it takes you to the App store, where i see this App, which if course shows that its already installed but the login takes me to my previous Providers page not the new one. This should be fixed so the User can easily change his Provider, which is hardly an uncommon occurrence. Given how many Healthcare Organizations use this same App, this should be a priority fix..Version: 8.7.1

Overall good appIt’s a good app reason for having put 3 stars instead of 5 is because of a few things that I think could change like results from tests don’t come on straight away takes a few weeks to update can’t see everything that had happened in the appointment just a small amount of detail can’t use the message part to ask questions or reply it’s just for the doctors to message you if these were changed would definitely be a 5 star.Version: 10.6.4

Silly AppHow ridiculous sending us an app to use at home, requesting medical information that requires machines that most people don’t have. It’s a waste of time and use of data..Version: 10.1.2

Inprvments requiredApp needs improvements so that we can have support for Apple Pay to pay medical bills and have it interface with the apple HealthKit tools so that info from the app can be record in HealthKit and data in HealthKit can be sent to my doctor automatily making it where there is more diagnostic data avalible to my doctor. Also for email attachments please allow PDF files as there are times where forms for certain programs need to be filled out by my doctor on the pdf form but only allowing images make those forms invalid and unreadable for pregame such as Boy Scout and other programs that need medic clearance. Also if there is a wait list to get a appointment I would like to have a wait list status area to show me what number I am on that list until I get to the top of the list. Also when a apoitment is offered have it where I can accept it or request for a difrent day or time. Also needs to have a indication of phone call appointments so that it would be easier to identify what type of appointment it is. Also office staff calls should be placed in a separate folder or something to separate them from actual doctor appointments to reduce confusion..Version: 9.3.4

First time userDoesn’t work properly, lost all my details, the emails didn’t come through, totally useless app, I cannot believe the NHS wants to waste more money on further apps that do not work! Don’t complain to the government, complain to the nhs trusts that are burning through funding on stupid apps that do not work! Why is this not centralised on the Nhs app we should have one central health app makes no sense to have multiple. Now lost all my appointments and results and spent an hour on phone trying to sort it out, now spent another hour on phone trying to get results that I can’t view in the app! I have reached out to support, I was told someone was dealing with it, that was five days ago and I have emailed no one has responded..Version: 10.6.4

Why no transparency?Generally this app is easy to use. It has a very strange design fault though. Once I enter information, I cannot see that information. What ancient mind set designs a system to hide medical data from the patient/user? This needs to change..Version: 10.2.5

Reliving traumaWhilst the app itself is fairly useful, if a little delayed in giving test results, the upload of historic ‘data’ appears to have been done with little consideration at all to those receiving it. I’m sure I’m not alone in having lived through traumatic events, documented in my NHS records and historic correspondence: Correspondence which now, without warning, is being uploaded to my profile and delivered as ‘new’ mail. At best, this has been confusing (test results from a previous pregnancy delivered during a subsequent pregnancy) and, at worst, completely debilitating (letters relating to the stillbirth of my daughter 6 years ago delivered while I ate my lunch at work. NHS history is more than just ‘data’ to be uploaded to a file. Please consider what, how and when information is added to people’s profiles..Version: 10.8.2

Chaotic use of available technologyHello The whole MyCare and MyChart is a shambles and sometimes incomprehensible. I am not a technophobe, in fact I designed web sites and am 88. I do not worry about confidentiality and think it would make sense to ask each patient to opt for less and easier access to data. After repeated requests my medication record is incorrect. Why do the Royal Free, Moorfield’s and UCLH all major London hospitals not communicate with each other. Often a message about an appointment be it face to face or a phone call does not indicate from whom the message comes. The constant use of initials is confusing ie MKT, WMD also name of consultant or specialist not given again more initials. Also I am looking after a husband with Alzheimer’s and have to navigate his care. His information is on MyChart as is mine but we are emailed to consult MyCare. Efforts to access My Care have been in vain. There is an invitation to access the MyCare team which I have done several times but NEVER had a reply..Version: 10.7.2

Poor design for notificationsWhen I have new emails, my email app has a count of them added to the icon and can also send notifications to the phone even when it is “off”. This app does nothing. Even when the app is open, there is no visual clue that you have a new item you may need to look at. The only thing you get is an email to your personal account to tell you something is there, no clue as to what that something is. You have to manually search the app to find new items. I have not seen that kind of behavior in years in any app, especially one that might actually be telling you something important. I can’t believe an app like this that appears to be the choice from a lot of prominent health care companies has this behavior when every game does it better. A lesser, but still annoying problem, is that it keeps telling me that safari does not support chat. Well, if it does not, then remove the chat button and stop annoying me multiple times each time I enter the screen! I am not even using that button!.Version: 9.9.2
