Diabetes App Lite - blood sugar control, glucose tracker and carb counter for Negative User Reviews

.No mmol/l. Only american readings..Version: 1.4

Unsupperted AppThis app has not been supported since Nov 2013. I tried the lite version and it was easy to use. I upgraded to the full version and used it for 6 months, but the longer I used it the more evident the lack of support became. One of the most important things are the food lists in the app. These have become very outdated, causing me to have to go to resources outside the app for info. Got tired of this and finally just went to another app altogether. If the authors are not going to provide on-going support, this app should be discontinued since people spend their money on a completely inadequate app without knowing about he lack of support..Version: 1.5.1

BienMais en anglais seulement j aimerais ça en français.Version: 1.4.2

Diabetes appThis application was fair. It needs some improvements. When a medication is added you should be able to put in the dosage and save it for medications that don't change. A view screen that allows you to view food intake and insulin given with the subsequent blood glucose reading, maybe in three columns, would allow for better adjustments. Now you have to scroll back and forth between screens. Some of the foods are hard to find in the lookup but further use will allow me to see their logic. I do like the ability to save to a favourite food list, this allows me to find the foods I am eating faster. I will be looking for another app that fills my needs better..Version: 1.4.2

MrsAs a type 2 I am on oral medication only and this app would not let me input without a figure for hum along - so not really appropriate for me..Version: 1.5.1

I don't like surprises :(I downloaded 2 different apps for glucose monitoring - the other was glucose buddy. I wanted to see which would work best for my needs. I like the ease of entry and its comprehensive nature, although I track the other features elsewhere. I was still torn until my attempted 11th entry. If it's not free or if it will require an upgrade to continue, then tell me that from the beginning. :( I even checked to see the difference between the lite and the full versions and saw no real difference. I'll continue using Glucose Buddy. Hopefully, there'll be no surprises there..Version: 1.5.1

Will not transfer info when you upgradeI tried it out through the lite version first to see if it was for me. The lite version will only allow you to log 10 glucose readings before it forces you to upgrade. Okay, no big deal. I selected "upgrade" within the app, purchased the full version, and went in to log my new glucose level. It did not transfer any of the information I logged from the lite app into the full version at all. I have used all the features, and it would take me several hours to re-log all of the information. This is definitely a flaw that I hope they fix soon..Version: 1.5.1

Okay, but lacks functionality. The interface is awkward. Some carb and calorie counts are incorrect. Adding foods is tedious, this is exasperated by lack of meaningful labels when adding your own recipes. Search is difficult, and simple foods are difficult to locate. It would help if you could create a recipe or item and input your own nutrition info. Without reports the app is not that helpful..Version: 1.5.1

Need Australian version pleaseShould be Australian.Version: 1.4.1

Not badSome things i wish could be changed... But oh well...Version: 1.5.1

SupportI purchased this app as I liked the features and simplicity. About 3 weeks later, my iPhone was update to version 11. After entering numerous blood readings it reported the software was not up to date. Shame on me for not checking the fact there has not been an updated for 3 years. That was a waste of $10.00 Now it seems to have been removed from the App Store..Version: 1.5.1

HeatherHave only started using this, still getting used to it. Not sure how to log what you have eaten. The reason for the 3 stars is because I'm only new to this app. If anyone can help me with this app it would be great. X.Version: 1.4.1

MisleadingThe app itself is good. But it says "free" and then after 2.5 days says you have to upgrade ($6.99) to make any more entries. It should say this from the start. I have now had to write down all my entries so ican re-enter them in the new app I'm purchasing (not this one - if I'm going to pay for it, I'm going to find one that will let me separate out the nutritional content of each of the three daily snacks)..Version: 1.5.1

So far, fair.I find the UI blocky, but it may just take some getting used to. I will have to use it for a while longer before I look at buying the full version..Version: 1.5.1

Great but.....Great having all diabetic info in 1 app with different headings but don't see where a graph can be created with your glucose readings or where you can forward info to your doctor. Those 2 items would make this app awesome..Version: 1.5.1

BS levels change automatically.I notice that my bs numbers change if I go from home, to glucose, to target bs, it will add the starting bs level to my latest bs test??? Other than that, not too bad of a product..Version: 1.4.2

Pretty goodIt's ok but it could use some work. not bad..Version: 1.4.2

Used for all of 5min before asked to give a review.Only problem I have is its not adjusted to my country therefore makes it very difficult to use.. I'm talking about adding food not conversion from ft-cm or pound-kg. It's very hard to get the simplest of food like bread and milk in my Brands to get an accurate consumption reading..Version: 1.5.1

ProblemCant add height to weight section. App locks..Version: 1.4.2

Lack of updates worrisomeThis app has everything a diabetic needs to track their diabetes. However, the lack of updates is worrisome. It is not clear if the app will be updated for iOS9. I have contacted the developers via the app but have not heard anything. I would love to give it a 5 star rating if they are going to update the app..Version: 1.5.1

New2meThis new venture is new to me. Recently diagnosed. Some of it is me not knowing. I got it initially and mainly to log my 3xs a day testing. If I'm doing it right, I'm logging it under Glucose. But it says mg/dl, is that where I put my readings? Not sure how that relates to my/dl but that's where I put it. The running tally i thought would be separated by day and view by month. Right now, it's just a list. I guess it's ok... But maybe I don't get it. But that's part of apps being great... Ease of use.Version: 1.5.1

OkWish u could export blood readings.Version: 1.4.2

Miss leadingI will now be using your app or recommend to any one on a scale 1-10 ur a -1. I used ur app lite version there was no mention of trial period I've been using the app to monitor and keep records for my doctor to report on how my new meds insulin is working for two weeks now. But today I log my password to enter my glucose an I'm locked out unless I upgrade an I can't get any of my history at a time when my life depends on data, I had a heart attack an stroke and most med are not workings so they're trying but we need data an know your app has set us back. You could have told me this..Version: 1.5.1

Good but horrible for food trackingFrighteningly cumbersome for adding custom foods... interface needs serious help...Version: 1.5.1

Not recommended. Not recommended. Free version gives very limited use. Then you must upgrade. Very deceptive. If developer said so up front I would not have used it..Version: 1.5.1

Mr.I am still using it and would like to have some more time , its too early for me for comments, so far I can choose three stars thanks..Version: 1.4.2

Works greatHave only used for a short time, but so far great. Works for Australia!.Version: 1.4.1

LackingThe idea is good but entries can't be deleted and the choice of stores does not include the likes of Lidl or Aldi..Version: 1.4.2

Mostly goodMostly good app. Designed more for Type II rather than Type I diabetes. A chart with general medication would be useful. However, it is a relevant app..Version: 1.4.2

Needs more info...So far this app doesn't carry major name brands of things (like Jif or Honey Maid) so I have to do a "quick carb input" of most items I eat, which is a pain in the rear to say the least. I will probably just use the MyFitnessPal app to watch carb intake because their system has SO many options when putting in your food intake-I can use another app for the blood levels, there are a few apps for that that are free as well..Version: 1.5.1

LimitedOnly allows a few days blood glucose levels to be entered then requires 8.99 upgrade..Version: 1.5.1

For Americans onlyThe products, measurements, weights, etc are all American so don't bother if you're not from the US..Version: 1.4

Diabetic buddyYes it's good and it does help me, I wish you could do a UK version too.Version: 1.3

Great product.Have only used it for a few days. Looks like it will be a great help..Version: 1.4.2

Upgrade comes outta NOwhere! This app is just awesome. However nowhere in the description does it inform you that after a certain number of logins, you have to upgrade. I'm upgrading anyways, but that would have been nice to know going into it..Version: 1.5.1

AwkwardIt's got the right idea, but execution is cumbersome. The "200,000 item database" for food items does not even include simple items like a tuna sandwich or egg salad. These items are easily googled. You are forced to deconstruct the entire object into its components and add them individually. Also, the help menu says that you can manually enter the date and time info for when you give yourself medications, but this entry is locked out. As such, I cannot enter any historical data to merge my current tracking with this new app. Fix it up a bit and it will get 5 stars from me. J.Version: 1.5.1

AppWaste of time. Disappointed.Version: 1.5.1

OKAdequate but not particularly user friendly and clearly american biased..Version: 1.5.1

Can only add a certain amount of logsVery good app for diabetes control, however it fails to warn you that you can only add a limited amount of carb logs before you're forced to upgrade to full. After 2 weeks of logging I reluctantly paid the £5 to upgrade only to find out my logs and custom database are not carried over to the paid app.. Let down.Version: 1.4.2

Great but...Fantastic app, easy to add custom foods but ... Only allows 4 days worth of logs then you have to buy it. I'll be looking for a free carb counter as that's all I really need..Version: 1.5.1

So far so goodBasic food list that don't quite marry up with my food but impressive carb counter. Thumbs up.Version: 1.5.1

Helpful AppAs someone diagnosed with borderline diabetes, this App provides a short term tool to track carbs, water intake and all that is part of eating and living healthier to control my condition. Using it for this purpose "does not"? present limitations. Wrong, there is a serious limitation. Want to further update this review regarding my failure to fully understand the conditions of the App. It is a SAMPLE app and does not do anything but let you try it, on a short term basis, before you are compelled to pay for it. There many other Apps that will track daily nutrition without having be stopped while trying to continue to track important relevant dietary information. This app should not be offered under these conditions. In effect, you will loose all your data if you don't pay for it..Version: 1.5.1

US centricUseful for some things but food database is only for USA. Good way to keep track of weight, exercise & blood sugar readings though.Version: 1.4.2

????This is a good app, but why do they have a BETTER version that costs money, our health could be on the line here! And all they want is money!? There is a 3% chance that the money they're getting is going to research for diseases.I was going to give this a five star rating, but now that I see that all they want is money, I've lowered my rating to 2..Version: 1.5.1

AvisWhy not in french.Version: 1.4.2

Lite bookLooks good, seems to have a lot of features. Will reassess on a month..Version: 1.4.2

Not really usable as "free" versionNo graphing of trending logic Free version stops working after a dozen entries, so not really worth downloading unless you want to test before paying. Strange way of entering numbers without entering decimal place. Ok once I'd worked out the quirky entry.Version: 1.5.1

Needs workIt is a versatile and detailed app, but I will not buy it until the "lite" version allows me to enter ORAL tablet dosages. It only allows insulin units. Useless for half the market that does not use insulin. I looked for a way to do this, but can only use 1 unit in the notes section..Version: 1.5.1
