Nike Run Club: Running Coach for Positive User Reviews

Great app, Speed runs could be improved.Great app, very easy to use. Recommendation: 1- for the speed runs, it would be great if the app notified us when to start and stop the laps. 2- i wish there was a graph to showcase my runs over time or even just for a month. To see if I’m running longer/faster/etc..Version: 6.9.1

I love the guided runs! This app is so good! I have always liked the idea of running and being a “runner” but never stuck to it consistently. This app has completely changed that! I have now started training for my first ever half marathon and I would have never considered a 10km run an “easy” run 5 months ago. The coaches are great and have kept me focused and on track..Version: 7.21.0

Great appImpossible to control if locked screen on iPhone 7 because of the home button!!.Version: 5.8.0

Half marathon training planI absolutely love the app and have been using it since I started running for guided runs. I’m now training for a half marathon so I put together a plan, really impressed with the ease of it however, I am a total novice and would have much preferred a coach to guide each run. As it is, I am left with a brief explanation on screen and then I just have an update of kms run at each kms etc. I’ve never done a tempo run or speed runs which are part of the training so without a coach telling me when to rest etc within each run I’ve been a bit lost. I’ve just worked out my first 5 x 400m speed run and realised that you have to add the laps manually after each rep and then pause it while you rest. Small things I know but for a novice like me, guided runs within the plans would be a massive benefit! Other than that, I love the app and it’s been so helpful for me and my running!.Version: 6.2.0

Best run app I’ve usedVery great app I’ve been using for abit now and just getting happier with it the more I use it. Very accurate at tracking your run with distance time avg pace calories burned and more. The app also has achievements and levels that you gain by running and beating your personal bests or challenges within the app adding a fun competitive side to it and keeping you motivated. Also includes and social feature where you can interact and compare your records with your friends. Last but not least the coached runs help immensely to keep pushing yourself and achieve results couldn’t recommend enough..Version: 6.6.0

Keep goingGreat app and really like the added voices at the end of your run that encourage you to keep going and stretch after your run. I got this app 3 weeks ago and really happy to reflect on previous times and runs to see my progress! Thanks Nike.Version: 6.7.0

Last Run Not Syncing to Account After IO13.1.1 UpdateI’ve used the Nike+ when it was a sensor on my shoe in 2009. Now, I’ve upgraded to the Apple 3 watch and iPhone8. The NRC app has worked well over the years and haven’t had any problems with the latest app upgrade. However, I’m have difficulties with my last run syncing to my phone and watch. I’m wondering if anyone is experiencing the same problem after the latest updates for Apple. My NRC phone and watch apps have my last run on Wednesday for 5 miles. I performed the OS update on Friday for my phone and watch. Saturday, I ran 9.30 miles with my watch. The app was working fine and recorded my run details and heart beat. I closed my watch rings for Move and Exercise and it recorded my run with NRC on my workout log. I tried to sync the run with my phone and nothing updated expect the update time. I’ve tried rebooting each device, deleting and adding the app, and checking the settings. Nothing seems to work. I’m glad my phone’s Health and watch Activity apps recorded my run. But I’m missing out on completing my Weekly NRC Challenge and record of my run. I hope it gets resolved soon since I have a half marathon coming up and would like to use my watch and not my phone on my race. Thank you for your time..Version: 6.0.0

It pains me to write thisThe map that shows you pacing is exactally what I needed and it does it’s job on a phone perfectly. I recently got an Apple Watch series 5 and I was excited to hear Nike Run club was integrated with it, but in reality it wasn’t. The only integration was an easier pathway to start a run. When on a run your time fades away to the watch face and real time, making it unnecessarily difficult to check your pacing, distance, and time of run. Also, it is impossible to hit a lap button to distinguish for your self the times and paces for workouts that you take rests on. Track workouts become a pain and you can’t stop the tracking of the watch and still see the time going if you want to be able to check your pace during the workout. If you have a series 5, the default Apple workout app is much better. While it does not have a lap function, it does keep the important running information available at all times. In the end, if you don’t have a series 5 Apple Watch, this is the App for you. If you do have the series 5, there is almost no use in downloading this app..Version: 6.5

Motivational and SimpleI turned to this whilst training for a Half Marathon. The guide on the website gives Guided Runs each week (all different) so I decided to try it. I’m 4 weeks in and it’s transformed how I run and train. It’s made me consider my pace and mixes up training so you don’t get bored and you do notice how you are improving. I’m no slim Jim either and it’s not aimed just at elite runners...all abilities can use the app as it’s based on your relative effort for your ability. Coach Bennett feels like a new friend now as do the other coaches and guests on there. THE BIG DIFFERENCE is it’s made me enjoy my running again. I end runs smiling and proud of what I’ve achieved instead of collapsing in a sweaty heap. I love the associated playlists too (which get updated regularly) and have discovered some great artists via it. Give it a go and see what you think..Version: 6.5.1

LOVE. Get this app if you don’t have it already!!!Had this app for coming up to 3 or 4 years now and it is by far the most encouraging app for getting into running (and continuing running after you start). I absolutely love all the features of this app from the badges (you can get a cute badge if you run on Valentines day haha) to the run tracker which you can even use on a treadmill!!! I have done runs on a treadmill and outdoors on foot over the years and this app efficiently tracks and gives feedback info (stuff that is actually interesting!). This app helps me to get back into running when I stop for a few months because of all the encouraging milestones you can achieve, including a range of monthly goal distances like 20kms up to 160kms (not there yet haha). Of the various running apps i’ve used in the past, this one takes the cake by far!! It’s also free which is just so amazing. Do yourself a favour and just get this app 🤪 thanks Nike!!!!!.Version: 7.9.0

Top interfaceI couldn’t help but write a review. Though it’s been less than a week since I started using the app, it’s been a joy ride. Downloaded Strava first due to all its popularity but then my newfound liking towards Nike and what they appear to stand for made me want to check out NRC too. Used both apps for a 5k recently and Nike stood out for its timely updates, music adaptability and post workout cheer while displaying statistics in a way that’s pleasing to the eye unlike other top apps which could do a lot more with their design interface and cut down promoting paid subscriptions on their home page. It’s not very appealing. Overall, very pleased to be onboard..Version: 6.9.1

Amazing app and free! It’s a no brainerI rave about this app to anyone that will listen. Sure, it can be a bit glitchy with the inbox of notifications and friend sharing data, but the content that is provided is simply excellent. I love that Nike has kept this and the training app as free, exercise and fitness shouldn’t be only obtainable by those who have the cash to achieve it and that is why I am a die hard fan of this and the NTC apps. I love Apple, but charging £10 a month when you get the same great stuff from Nike is a waste. The Nike coaching is fantastic, Coach Bennett, you’re my hero and keep me smiling on every run (even when I was pretty confident I would never smile on a run!) I started on a couch to 5k app then transitioned to NRC and I’ve not regretted it. I feel like an athlete thanks to Nike. I did personal training and genuinely worried about how I would keep the workouts up, I needn’t have worried. Nike, THANK YOU! I don’t think I can express my gratitude enough for keeping me motivated and coming back..Version: 7.12.0

Genuinely a great app.I didn’t ever run and this app has helped me go from getting out of breath walking up some steps to running a 5k run and not really feeling all that out of breathe(if at all if i’m honest) it has great coach guided runs and can connect to you music apps- you can cheer on and be cheered on after you run by your friends by adding them and it sends a loud noise to the recipients phone which is a nice touch. It also has things you just slowly find out the more you use the app so it’s really great for keeping running interesting. As i’m writing the more i remember about the great features of the app! It includes community challenges where you can join runners all around the world and get a ranked out of hundreds and thousands of runners. Well deserved 5 star rating, if you run regularly there’s no reason not to have this already and if you’re looking to get into running don’t look any further than this app. it’s literally all you need. Flawless app!!!!.Version: 6.11.0

Changed my lifeThis app is not the first running app I have used but for me it is the best one! It has changed my life because it continues to motivate me to get out and run with its weekly and monthly challenges for a start. The stats are great too for seeing how I have progressed since I started using it. The guided runs have also contributed to my progress. I have really only used the guided speed runs but what a difference they have made! I thought I only had one speed but turns out I can vary my speed and it’s been fun. At the end of the run I love the little motivational comments, even though I’ve heard them all, I still enjoy hearing them. Then through this app I have benefited from a session with a nutritionist and a special women only run in Melbourne. Amazing experiences and opportunities to meet like minded people who love to run! Thank you Nike and all the coaches - I just love this app! Now I’m going to try NTC as well….Version: 7.15.2

Basic functions failed on 1st run with updated app!I reluctantly held off from the updated app and was using a really old one as I constantly read bad reviews about successive updates. But as I am about to receive the new Apple Nike watch I had no choice but to update. And what a mistake that was!. The old app run perfectly with fluid vocal feedback by an American female voice. Floor less integration with my music library and accurate measurements every time. So why then on an updated app, that is now probably 2-3yrs newer than I previously had. Now has so many basic faults?. The new British voice over relays back audibly like she’s not quite sure that what she’s saying is true! There are long pauses between for instance between stats. This is so off putting to a point where you stop listening to her. It’s like we have gone back 10 yrs in advancement. Also if you receive a call it stops the timer and does not start again. And when you do this manual it starts from the beginning again. It also then mutes the music your listening to to about a third for no reason. So you end up hardly hearing any sound when your on the road. I have been using the Nike running app since 2006 and have clocked up quite a few miles now. So I really don’t want to use something else. Especially when I’ve just spent over £400 on a dedicated Apple Nike watch. I really do hope that Nike sort these glitches out soon as this has left me really disappointed with the upgrade..Version: 5.9.0

Great app but needs improvement for Apple WatchI’ve been using this app for years now and love it. It’s been amazing helping me train for races and reach running goals I never thought possible! Recently I got an Apple Watch and was disappointed by the experience. When I start a run on my watch, all my audio feedback goes through the watch speakers, even when I have my AirPods in and connected. I also wish there was customisation for the stats shown on the screen when running. Overall a great app, but it needs some tweaking for Apple Watch.Version: 7.19.0

Absolutely love itI used to be a runner until I had my three children. I was trying to get back into it looking for a running buddy, the perfect time I was always looking for an excuse. Then I can across NRC and it’s the best choice I made. No buddies needed it supports your through your journey and you have multiple options and opportunities to choose different types of running and training styles. I get to change my running and rest days to suit me and track all my efforts too. I’d recommend this to all especially those who need motivation. Thanks Nike, all I need now is for you to send me the Nike Apple Watch and I’ll be living my best life. 😄🙋🏾‍♀️🏃🏾‍♀️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ definitely worth the download including the NTC app with the two apps I train for free and don’t spend a penny. Top class.Version: 5.21.1

Great appThis is a lovely lovely app. The UI is intuitive and v easy to get accustomed to and I love that you can customise the metrics displayed while running and it’s even more brilliant when you use it with the Apple Watch. Love that you can also generate a running plan within the app and the guided runs are amazing for when you need a little more motivation to start/get through a run. However like another reviewer pointed out, it could do with some improvements: 1. First time doing an interval run on the app recently and it would be nice if it could notify you when you’ve reached the interval benchmark e.g. 200m. It’s hard to keep track of distance while sprinting and even running with a watch on my wrist where I have a quick glance of the metrics, I still go over the limit. It notifies you for fixed distance runs so if it could be added for interval runs that’d be fab. 2. I think the seamlessness with the Nike training app could be improved as after completing a workout on NTC you’d have to restart NRC for it to recognise the workout as completed. It’s a v minor issue though, it just doesn’t feel as smooth as it can be. Minor improvements aside, it’s still an amazing app that I’m grateful to have so thank you Nike!.Version: 6.6.0

Pretty good, but minor bugsI’ve been running since middle school and I always used Running2Win to log my runs, but since that site is a bit clunky and the app is garbage, I figured I’d try this one out. Since I’ve been using it, I’ve fallen in love with the UI and how easy the app is to use. The workouts from the “My Coach” seem a bit easy, so I do my own and just substitute them, but otherwise the runs are great. I especially like the guided runs because it actually feels like someone is beside me and running with me, which is always a nice feeling when running alone when back from school. However, this app is not without some minor bugs, most notably in the guided runs themselves. For whatever reason and on multiple occasions, the guided run will simply stop and stay frozen at a certain time (usually 4’37” when I use it). While it could be written off as a problem deriving from another issue, I have an XS so it definitely shouldn’t be a hardware issue. Like I said, I really like the guided runs, but when they stop 4 minutes in, it gets a little annoying. Otherwise, pretty great app that I would recommend to people just getting into running or seasoned runners looking for an easy way to log runs (and keep track of shoe mileage)!.Version: 5.21.1

Just Do It!!!Absolutely love this app. I can’t say enough positive things about it! It does all your usual tracking & is good at reporting the info back, as well as collating it all & giving you monthly summaries & stats etc. The Guided Runs….. oh man! This is what this app is truly all about!! I’d never have become a runner without these! There are loads to work through. They’re entertaining, inspiring, motivational, insightful, educational & fun, & they truly do guide you through each run!! They can also be downloaded to my Apple Watch so that I can actually leave my phone at home, which is so much nicer! There is only one thing that NRC hasn’t got that I’d love…. Within the menu I’d like to pull up a selection of runs that I’ve downloaded to my watch already, ‘my downloaded runs’!?! Potentially a future update that I’d love to see! Thank you very very very much NRC. You’ve made a new runner a regular participant! Wrote the above review almost two years ago. I’ve just recently upgraded my phone from an iPhone SE 2nd gen, to an iPhone 15 Pro. The data is recorded on my iWatch, it even seems to transfer to health, but I’ve tried everything I can think of to sync to the app & have been unable to solve the problem??? Any ideas???.Version: 7.32.0

Great App, but missing Key Metric -pls Add for iWatch!Just starting using this app on the iWatch and it’s great... but for one missing ingredient - the app only shows “current average pace”, and doesn’t show “total average pace” over the entire run. The “total average pace” metric is really important to monitor for runners who are trying to complete a race inside a set time e.g. to complete a 10km race inside 50mins, it’s really important to know what the “total average pace” is i.e. aiming for <5mins per km total average pace. The Runkeeper app allows you select to display either current or total average pace. Please Nike, can you add this feature?.Version: 5.13.1

3 years straight!I found the NRC app 3 years ago and I love it. It tracks everything I want to measure in a run, shows me year on year progress down to months and weeks. I’m fitted than I ever and I love that feeling of reviewing my stats and being proud that I’m regularly getting out there. It’s so easy to use. Highly recommended..Version: 7.32.0

Perfect for novice runnersI have always been on and off athlete and after putting on much undesired covid weight, I made a promise to myself to get back in gear as soon as the gyms reopened. I did, and have been on a fitness craze, lost a good amount of weight, and decided for 2022 to set a new goal - run in a race. Starting small - signed up for a local 5K at the end of March, but knew I’d need to up my running more seriously. My son is a runner and uses Strava and another friend uses the Nike Run App, and others use watches, devices, etc. I do not have an Apple watch and no plans to get one, so I read up on best running apps. For beginners (which I consider myself running wise) the NRC was rated best, hands down. So after downloading it and using it for about six weeks, I can honestly say I love it. I love the tracking mechanisms themselves, the challenges and badges and the guided runs. I feel those have all helped motivate and challenge me - esp monitoring my pace WHILE running because it is easy to slow down and get sluggish (at least for me). Maybe I will outgrow this app one day, as another reviewer mentioned. I would love that because it meant I actually achieved some of the goals I set! Wish me luck on my race!.Version: 7.12.0

ExcellentHaving everything be available for free is great. It works really well on my Apple Watch and I find the voiceovers genuinely motivating. The random awards and challenges provide just that little bit of dopamine to improve things. The graphs for each run are also great. I don’t really review apps but this one was so great for my runs that it definitely deserves it. If you feel like you need a bit extra in your running this app is definitely worth giving a shot..Version: 7.12.0

APPLE WATCH FIXI love this app. Particularly the guided runs. Coach Bennet is awesome and it has changed my life by helping me run further and faster than ever before. I use an Apple Watch Series 7 without cellular - it would make a huge difference to me, if you could ‘lock in’ a guided run once downloaded but before it has been started. I often find that I’ll choose a guided run, download it and then leave the house without my phone, however if a short time has elapsed my watch will have returned to the Home Screen, and I can no longer find the guided run I downloaded because there is no internet connection. Even if the app defaulted without internet to the ‘downloaded runs’ section this would be fixed. Please please please fix. Thank you.Version: 7.19.0

StickersLove love love the app. My fav part is the sticker. I feel so proud to achieve these that I strive for more. Like a kid at school. And these stickers are so cool. Is there any way we can actually receive these stickers in real life ? Like mailed to my house so I can put them in my car window and show them off ? Please please please..Version: 7.5.0

Best running app ever!Had this app for a couple of weeks now and I am so glad I downloaded it. It provides an easy platform to track your performance levels, progress etc and it’s especially great if you’re training for a marathon! Love that I can also play my own music through it while still having the voice coach - very useful!!.Version: 5.21.1

Great for all fitness levelsI love this app. I have been using this app for about 7 years now and it is great. I love the guided runs that are on here and the way the coaches make you feel like they are right there with you every step of the way. This app is great for anyone who wants to just get out there and run no matter what fitness level you are. I have only just got back into running after recovering from a couple of injuries 12 months ago and it is great that you can re-do the runs you have already done so that you can restart when you get back into it. Love this app. Just wish there was a setting to turn the music off while the coaches are talking so that you can hear them better. Other than that it is great. Love it..Version: 7.18.0

I'm very happy with itIt is very helpful.Version: 5.8.0

NRC really helpsI used to be a runner back in my high school days and don’t we all wish we could be back to those speeds lol. Anyways I was told by my doctor that I was getting up there in weight (‘6”6” 260 lbs). Granted that’s not heavy but I have a small / medium bone structure and my BMI hit over 30. I thought I was doing pretty well and carried the weight well…I stated this to my wife and she tried to kindly disagree. She didn’t call me fat but said I didn’t carry it as well as I thought…that stung. With my schedule I knew working out hours a day was not how I am wired so I went back to running. I was running about 3 times a week in May but hurt my meniscus and was out 6-8 weeks. Anyways I recover and really try hard starting August 1 and has this app been one heck of a helper/motivator. I have watched my average mile drop almost 3 minutes!! I can check all my routes from all my runs. I love the challenges that I can do and see how I compare to everyone else. I know it’s my journey but I’m competitive lol. This app has been a great tool and helped me in my journey. I even got my wife to join!! I’m sure there’s things that can be improved but right now I’m very happy with this app and recommend it!!.Version: 7.19.0

The next best thing to an actual running partnerI have been using this app since 2012. It has helped running become a huge part of my life. I have been able to track all the information I would want to know about my running with this app. I have got an Apple Watch and it syncs with that just fine which enables me to monitor my effort through my heart rate while running so I can build on my endurance as efficiently as possible but NRC also offers a myriad of other benefits for people looking to take a different approach to their running. The guided runs on offer are wide ranging and very motivational. The coaching platform is an excellent choice when preparing for race day and have used it on several occasions myself to achieve consecutive PB’s at 10k distance 3 years running. NRC isn’t a substitute for the motivation and passion for running which must come from within but it sure helps to maintain it when you might otherwise struggle as arguable one of the best things about the NRC app is the huge and supportive community online who will other you support when your down and cheer you on through your high’s. I run alone most of the time but when you have got the NRC app your never really alone and it’s almost as good as having an actual running partner. Well worth a look if your seeing the benefits of running in others and wanting a bit of that for yourself..Version: 6.8.0

Please bring back iOS system time and battery.Still love using the app (for around a decade now) but a few things are starting to bug me. please stop asking me to review the app every so often when I have said no or dismissed the prompt. No, means no. Also give me the option to turn off achievement notifications bubbles on the stats tab, I don’t care! Lastly, bring back the system time and battery indications during a run..Version: 6.12.0

Good for the sole, improve for the communityI’ve used this app for years, from a time when you had to put a tracker in your shoe the size of a small pebble (If you didn’t own the right Nike trainers). It’s helped me through several marathons, countless halves and all the training runs that come with it. I was going to say ‘countless miles’ but that’s right there - 920!! I’ve loved the position messages from Kevin heart and other athletes and have really got into the coach bennet guided runs this month too completing all the 5k ones in about a week. **Positives** For me the ease and simplicity is key, maps and notes to see what and when with explanations and the chance to reflect on previous races and runs. **Negatives** there’s nothing for the community, no way to see other runners in my local town or find friends who use the app - unless I search for their emails one at a time. A virtual event, better news feeds or something to enable the network to open would be a huge benefit to the app. Plus who doesn’t love a bit of competition? 😉.Version: 7.11.0

Great for allLove Nike run club! Have just started running after a couple years of feeling out of shape. Works flawlessly and really motivates you to set goals and achieve them. Love the guided runs as they help me get fit without burning out too early..Version: 7.12.0

Apple Watch AppHey guys love the app, clean user interface and easy to use, but the Apple Watch app is so problematic. Many times I am running, I look at my watch and the app has closed and stopped recording. I have followed your “Pro Tip” by starting the run on my phone and then see my intervals on my watch but that never works. Please guys improve the Apple Watch app especially given you guys sell a Nike version of the Apple watch. Don’t make me switch back to Strava because I love NRC..Version: 6.8.0

One thing Nike could do better...I love 99% of the app, think it’s great, just one thing that annoys me which I think Nike could quite easily add, unless it’s something that I’ve missed so help would be welcomed in that case... My regular run is just over 5K, but I’m just interested in finding out how quick I did 5K. So I understand when I finish the 5k it will tell me through my headphones my time, but I can’t seem to find that anywhere else clearly... I have a breakdown of each KM, the split times, and I have to resort to clicking on the map details and clicking on the route tracker where I’ve hit 5k just to see my time, which gets cut at the bottom of the screen anyway! I think it would make much more sense if it clearly displayed how fast you did 5k. (Unless it does of course, and in that case I’ve missed it but I have looked all over). Maybe I ran 5.13km, it gives me my total time and my 5k time for example. Please implement this change Nike!!!.Version: 7.11.0

Still the best running app, but the old version was betterThis is still my favorite running app, by far. The old version of the app was still slightly better for me though. Nike fixed the issue with controlling music & the app from the headphone controls, which was my biggest pet peeve (this worked fine in older versions of the app, but was broken when the app went to version 4. The only remaining issue for me is that the app doesn’t handle music correctly if you are listening to another audio source before a run. I like to listen to audio books & podcasts in the car (I use the audible and downcast apps, not the official apple ones, maybe that’s part of the issue, I don’t know), but even though my music choice for the run is set to an iTunes playlist, it continues to play the audiobook/ podcast I was listening to in the car. The old versions (up to 3.x) handled this correctly, starting the iTunes playlist as soon as the run started. Not a complete deal killer, but it sure would be nice if they fixed that. Aside from that issue, it’s a great app. I’ve been using it since 2006 (when it only worked on the iPod nano, and it still works great for my needs..Version: 5.9.0

I’ve learned to love running againI started running again 6 months ago after a 7 year break since having kids. Was using strava to track distance, but 4 months ago decided to enter a half marathon so needed a training plan. Am so glad I downloaded this app. The 10 week plan was the best training ever and took me from a 7min km 5k pace to 4:30. PB park run 5k got to 23mins and I completed my half in 1:55. Key lessons are slowing down on long runs and speeding up on tempo runs. But better still - I’ve enjoyed every run. My mindset has completely changed - found it rewarding to train in the heat of Australian summer, torrential tropical downpours and cold Canberra mornings with bugs hitting me. The guided runs helped me see this as great endurance training which is also helping me in life..Version: 6.6.0

Runs would not sync and now they are gone!So for about 2 months my runs would all be marked “sync pending”. I tried to manually sync them by dragging down but the sync always failed. Over this 2 month period I kept being served up a log in screen. So I finally decided to enter my log in details. To my horror, when I went to see if my 2 months of runs had finally synced I found they had disappeared completely. They were nowhere to be found. I would love to be able to get these 2 months of my life back into my run history. I was super happy with this app until now. I don’t know how to contact Nike Run Club support so if someone reading this can help me I would love to hear from you..Version: 5.18.1

Love the app and would love to seeI love this app and recommend it to everyone. But like all things if I could see my top threes for all the achievements that would be cool. So if I was close to my best but not quite I could see how close. It would also be awesome to see your guided run time or distance as a sub level and not just the final distance and time if I continue running after a guided run. They represent two achievements for me. I have yo keep these records separately. In saying all of this, this is my fav app and it motivates, guides and helps not just in running but in views for life. Keep running and thanks Coach Bennett!.Version: 7.20.0

Amazing!!!Such an amazing app to learn to run different types of runs and inspires more training sessions per week with such variation in the guides runs. Only thing is that I’m completing the half marathon training plan and often the speed and tempo runs don’t save or say I’ve completed when I’ve done them? Can always enter manually after but that’s a little random. Overall still 5/5! Thanks so much for the app:).Version: 7.23.0

Brilliant guided runs!Getting talked through the first runs helps immensely, coach is friendly, funny and makes you want to run your best every time. Where other running apps can make you feel guilty about not hitting certain targets, nike takes you through such easy workouts to begin with that you hit every goal and actually enjoy running for once, and itch to get back out there. Ive always hated running because of it being boring and the steep learning curve, I never felt like i was getting better unlike sports like kickboxing, and it was so difficult to set the pace I ended up struggling every time and unable to enjoy it unlike yoga. But NRC changed all that. I’d love to see more new guided runs and maybe make the training programme runs as well written and interesting as the ‘first run’..Version: 5.25.1

Fantastic but a couple bugs have emerged.Firstly the app has helped me fall in love with running all over again. Secondly since starting to use the app across my iPhone and Apple Watch I have discovered that when you start a guided run on the watch that the music doesn’t automatically start. After manually swiping across and pressing play on the music you lose the guided coaching. Also when pausing the guided run on the watch when told to by the coach you lose the coaching when you resume. Both bugs causing you to start the run over again if your relying on the coaching to complete the intervals and for motivation ect..Version: 7.1.1

Good for beginners like meI was not a big fan of running for my life - yeah probably as so many of you - but I decided to start something to keep myself fit and healthy during this lockdown (I live in UK). This app helps me a lot to track my running on a hand, motivate myself and stretch my limits! Starting running with NRC, I found a short run (4km/day in average) in a slow pace was actually so refreshing and good to keep my mentality in a peace. I also enjoy match NRC up with Nike Training Club because NTC offers some easy workouts for runners which are perfect to maintain my legs before and after running. Moreover I’ve not tried yet, but I’m happy NRC community is everywhere across the globe - I’m from Japan so I will be happy to join some running community when lockdown is over! So much appreciated and I definitely recommend Nike Run Club!.Version: 6.7.0

A great app but I am facing some issuesWhen I first used this app I was running and stopping every minute or two if I was lucky but I didn’t give up and I kept getting faster and that shaped me to how I run today. My fastest 1 km is now 2’18” and 10 km 33 minutes and that is so amazing and I will keep on improving. There is one issue with me though on the Apple Watch, I have the Nike widget on my watch face and when I am not running it still starts a run even though I didn’t touch anything and I haven’t been very happy with my watch app because when I try to stop a run when I’m finished it will keep tracking it and It won’t stop the run for a minute or two. I am on an old Apple Watch as well so it isn’t sweat proof so can you please try and resolve it for me..Version: 5.11.0

Great app but needs some improvements!Love this app and find the Plans and guided runs are perfect, only a few downsides one is I find the playlists they recommend don’t exist on Apple Music and there is no easy way to sync these to your Apple Watch if you can’t find a playlist to start with and secondly when doing speed runs/interval training for a plan you can’t set the distance, rest time and how many intervals so you have to keep looking at your watch and pressing start and stop what is very frustrating and on numerous times when out of breath I have accidentally clicked incorrect button and skipped an interval, really need to add more settings to the speed run on the Apple Watch so tells you when complete distance and when to rest. Apart from that have found it a great app and would recommend over any others on the Apple store..Version: 6.7.0

Finally found the perfect running app!!NRC is the perfect companion to someone who struggles to get out and go run; the support Coach Bennett offers through the guided runs is just what I’ve been searching for. I’ve previously used both MapMyRun and Runtastic and the “coaching” provided by both doesn’t amount to much more than telling you your splits, distance, and when the pace changes on intervals. It’s done by a computer generated voice and just doesn’t have the real person connection. Coach Bennett will relate to you and motivate every step of the way while not being overbearing and in your ear the whole time. There are minutes set aside during every run where it’s just you, the music, and the run. It gives you time to reflect on what Coach has said let’s you focus in on what you are doing. The last thing I’ll mention are companion playlists, while most of the songs are some form of pop or pop/Rock they are upbeat and provide a nice soundtrack to run to. Even for me who isn’t a big pop fan, I’ve added a few songs to my personal library thanks to NRC. So, if you’re like me and struggle to find motivation to get out and get going, give NRC a try and hopefully you find it as great as I do..Version: 6.8.1

Best running app ever with a little flawThis is one of the best running app ever with a few small issues so far. Otherwise, deserves 5 stars. 1.Just doesn't connect well with Nike training club app within the workout plans. Whenever the training app redirects me to the running app, I see a message saying "Sorry, this link is unavailable. Try updating to the latest version of NRC." I keep my apps always updated, seems an issue between NTC and NRC. 2. I get connection error on some feeds. 3. Wish I could share my runs in more details like splits, elevation, calories, heart rate, etc.Version: 6.6.0

BeginnerI have never been a road runner but after wasting £37 a month on a gym membership for years and barley being able to count on one hand how many times I had been over the year I decided to stop my membership. I started my first run, and did the “first run” which is 20 mins. I like that fact the coach helps to train the beginner how to run. When you haven’t exercised for years I even found that hard. But I completed my second run today. Until I get faster and cover more distance I will go into the next run. It’s always good having music on while running but I think with the help of commentary through the coach (with still being able to play music) it helps you get through. Personally until I am Comfortable with the 20 min run I will move on to the second stage. But what I like is you can go to that when your ready and most importantly when your body feels ready for the next challenge. I’m so unfit that I plan to stay on the same run (first run) for the first couple of weeks and then I hope I can move on to the 22 min run. Great App and glad I down loaded it. I also love the Nike Dry T shirt. Thanks Nike!! Jonathan.Version: 5.24.0

Almost amazing!I’ve used this app - specifically the coach feature - for three years now and it’s been brilliant! Unfortunately a couple of recent updates have made things a lot harder :( 1. The speed runs now have a lap button and a pause button, and you have to click both every time you complete a rep. This is frustrating enough, but then you also now have to switch to a stopwatch to time the rest because this is no longer timed in the app. If you want to keep the lap button, at least make the pause button add a lap, and time the rests? Or add a third button! An explanation of the best way to use these might be helpful... Ideally, audio guidance/vibration when you complete the required distance would be great too :) 2. Benchmark runs used to make a lot of sense and now there’s either a glitch or they’ve been changed in an unexplained way. The audio guidance made a lot of sense: 7 minutes warm up, 3 minutes fast, 5 minutes cool down. Now the benchmark run inexplicably says ‘1.00 km’ underneath it rather than 15 min, and there is no audio guidance so no explanation of what to do. Am I meant to run 7-3-5 as before? Am I meant to warm up myself and run 1km fast? If there’s no audio guidance there should at least be some explanation please! I have however loved the app so much, so thank you for what you’ve provided!.Version: 6.6.0

Great for a beginner runnerAs a beginner runner, I find the app sets really good challenges to get you competitive with yourself and (if you want) your friends. It’s also pretty fun to collect the achievement badges! I’ve been using the app for about 6 months now and have reached my 6 month streak where previously I had never enjoyed running in my life! I started out listening to Coach Bennett’s audio guides which really helped as a distraction from the suffering, but I find myself able to stay motivated to run without them now. When I need an extra kick to get going again, or change things up, I’ll listen to the tapes again. I’ve gotten a few friends onto this app and we share our data with each other so we can cheer each other on and have some healthy competition! The one thing that I’d really like to see added is some kind of route planning tool, where I can mark out a route on a map to set as a distance goal without getting lost and all I have to do is focus on the running. I find that sometimes when I want to push further distance, I start having to use Google maps to find my way back home because I start going down random streets to get the kilometres up. Otherwise, really happy with the app! Would definitely recommend as I have with all my friends!.Version: 6.4.1

Good app.. few glitches.Update 7/8: Still a good app but I the distance calculations has been off quite a bit. I haven’t been shorted a mile on multiple runs. The app is tracking the distance but not calculating correctly, shorting me on my goals through the app. Please fix. I have completed a 10K run thanks to this app and would and do recommend it to people. Updated 2/1 I’ve began to follow a running plan. Having an actual plan/coach on this app would be great vs. having to follow a PDF then find the correlating run. Also, the app has continuously crashed on me during my indoor runs. It’s not logging any of my runs when done inside. This is becoming very frustrating. I've enjoyed this app thoroughly. Ive recently started running again after multiple years of surgeries and injuries. have passed milestones for myself with this app! I've even considered trying a 10k. So thank you. Unfortunately there have been a few occasions when I've been running on the treadmill that the app crahses and doesn't log my run, which is really frustrating and unmotivating. Minus that the coaches are great and I like the different options to mix things up. If the glitches and not logging could be fixed this would be perfect..Version: 7.6.2

The perfect app for normal peopleI initially downloaded NRC when I joined a sports team because our summer workouts required us to send a few screenshots of runs in a run tracker app. I had always hated running, but was so surprised at how easy Nike Run Club made it. I quickly found myself feeling like I could tackle an extra mile or two after the required distance, and then one day I decided to try one of the guided runs. I was shocked at how motivating it was to have someone in my ear the whole run telling me I was doing great, keep it up, they’re proud of me, etc. I got so hooked and am glad to say that 2 years later I’m training for my first half marathon (next week!) That being said, I know a lot of my friends who ran XC in high school prefer Strava, but as someone who is just getting into running as an adult, I find Nike Run Club a lot more user-friendly and easier to digest. And this app never glitches out on me, and has all of the tools I could need as a newbie runner. I had never thought of myself as athletic in any traditional sense but I appreciate how much work Nike seems to have put into making running accessible for everyone, regardless of your shape, size, or skill level (even if it is just to sell us things)..Version: 7.15.0

Great app, but last update destroyed interval timingEverything works great, from the adapting plans to the guided runs (pick the coach that works for you - there’s one I find intolerable). And all free? Amazing. One gripe? The interval timer no longer displays recovery time (only options are to pause or start new lap) meaning that, to adhere to the suggested rest time in your personal plan, you need a second timer (watch etc) running concurrently (pause interval, look at watch, time rest, unpause interval, start new interval). Back to the drawing board on that one, please! All up, though, one of the best all-around apps out there. Thanks coach B, and keep up the content - your guided runs are THE BEST, and the guests that join you are fantastic..Version: 6.4.1

Great app! (but some minor improvements would be great)App is really nice that you could plan your runs according to how far or how long you want to go, or spontaneously start and it would automatically calculate everything for you. I’ve been using it to have a (free!) customized training scheme for a 10k race I will be running. HOWEVER, there are a few suggestions or changes I would like: **1. In a training plan when running sprint intervals, it would be so much better (!) if the voiceover would tell you when you reach the distance of each interval e.g.- 200m. So when you’re sprinting madly, you don’t have to constantly keep checking your phone to see if you’ve reached 200m to stop the stopwatch.** 2. When adding additional personal runs to your training plan days, they aren’t displayed in your overall training schedule and total distance etc., so a little hard to keep in track of overall progress. 3. Would be good if you could link the Nike Training Club app to this one, so you could record what workouts you do during eg a race training plan..Version: 5.17.0

Has been very smooth lately!!I started using NRC a little while back and became so frustrated because it wouldn’t work at all with my iWatch. It would pause my runs when on the treadmill and the guided runs never seemed to work. So I switched to Under Armour’s “Map My Run App” (which is still a very nice option). About a month ago I decided to see if improvements were made, because this app has some great features that are hard to pass up - like guided runs and coaching plans. Boy am I glad that I decided to give it another try!! Syncing has been seamless and I haven’t lost any runs. I love the watch app so much more than any other option too, it is a really great watch app. The challenges keep me motivated, though I would definitely appreciate if that was built out a little more, with more “events”, and also it would be nice to be able to connect more easily with other NRC users in my area, maybe give an opt-in option to enrich the social aspect of the app too. All in all, this is the best running app out there, especially with an iWatch!!!.Version: 6.13.0

Almost perfectAlmost the perfect running app love every single thing it has to offer however just would love to have the ability to see your friends runs as well such as when i click their profile so we know if they walked or ran and such a thing but ofcourse make it their option like (on or off the ability to show your runs on your profile so your friends can be able to see them please) Also, i created a challenge for me and my friends but after i click their profile from the challenge, i cant seem to go back and have to refresh the whole app please fix these two and ill happily come back for a 5star, love the app!.Version: 7.22.0

Great tracker but annoyed with guided runsI’ve been a loyal Nike+ member forever. I run for the joy of it (and to crush a few races) so I’m not as picky as the most hard-core, Garmin-loving runners out there. I had to take some time off due to injury and recently discovered the guided run. I’ve done several and they’re amazing (def try the headspace), but for me there’s a fatal flaw. Once the guided run is over, the tracker stops, which is a complete fail on 2 accounts: First, any runner knows that you don’t stop at 5.87 miles. And even if I go to six, it doesn’t count unless my watch says so. Plus, what if I was having an awesome run and wanted to keep going? Or I planned an hour run but the longest headspace is 50 min? Or what if I planned 4 miles but i ran slow and my guide cut out at 35 min? I track my shoe mileage, so all of those 0.13 miles will start to add up. (Doesn’t Nike want me to buy more shoes?) Second, it stops your music too. I generally go a little longer to cool down and it’s annoying to have to actually stop running and turn my music back on. If the tracker/music kept running after the guide stopped, this would be nearly perfect -especially on long or difficult runs. Please, Nike!!!!.Version: 5.16.0

Display Saved Guided RunsNike’s great. I’ve always found their brand to be spot on, and the guided runs look like a great way to focus your mind or give you that extra motivation. You may download these guided runs. And there are many of them. But there’s currently no way to access your saved guided runs in one place. Perhaps a tab or a filter to display only the ones you’ve already downloaded will help? Great way to keep track of which ones you may want to remove too, so you may free up space. Update: Nike actually followed up on the above^. I was so happy when that happened. Now, please enable Apple Watch users to locate downloaded runs WITHOUT the need for cellular connection. It’s strange that one can DOWNLOAD a run for offline use, but one cannot ACCESS the downloaded runs while offline. (Sorry for the caps: no italics here)..Version: 7.12.0

Amazing UpdateThis app has always been a killer - seriously great training, coaching and run tracking. But I’ve never been tempted to write a review until I used the new update! The new in-run screen is amazing - nice and clean, and shows everything I need, as well as having in-run access to my camera, map, basic settings and splits, which is awesome to be able to do while I’m running. What’s better, is that even on my old iPhone 7, the swiping between pages and loading of the maps and camera are surprisingly smooth and snappy, which makes it even better to use while on a run. Seriously great update and credit to the design and performance - so awesome to see my fav running app get even better!.Version: 6.0.0

Essential to your running journeyGreat app, when first lockdown started I got stuck at my partners place away from all my sport equipment. I only had a yoga mat and some old trainers. He used to run so without my bike or longboard or access to swimming I decided to start too. Let’s say I love my water sports; running on the other hand always hated. It all changed during lockdown when couch Cory and coach Bennett helped me start my running journey. I have been running most of the days, I’ve run half marathon and running become part of me. I run with guided runs all the time, the only thing that I would improve is ability to connect to Audible so the book would stop when coaches voice starts. Keep the great work! I’ve just come back from a run!.Version: 7.11.0

Nette améliorationBravo!.Version: 5.8.0

Get running consistentlyA great app with almost every feature you’d want. The standout though are the guided coaching runs, they’re a great way to get you running consistently. How to improve? Provide easy access to downloaded guided runs on Apple Watch. If you’ve downloaded runs to the watch, but they’re not on the ‘main menu’, you can’t access them when disconnected from your phone..Version: 7.21.0

BrilliantThis app has coached me from non-runner to training for a half marathon. It helps me get back on when I fall out of routine and challenges me to improve gently and safely. The only reason I’ve given 4 stars instead of 5 is because the app lacks interval programming and I have to use another app for that. However, Nike’s Fartlek runs can counter that absence if your not running a set program. On days where my entire self is rejecting the idea of running, a coach in my ear ensures I succeed. On days where I’m in control, my music is on hand. Everything syncs seamlessly from watch to phone, etc. I wholeheartedly love this app and highly recommend it, regardless of where you’re at in your running journey..Version: 7.11.0

AMAZING AMAZING APPOk so this app is THE BEST app i’ve ever downloaded and honestly changed my life. i’ve been using this app for a month now and let me tell you i keep discovering new features and have yet to find a SINGLE FLAW. the app is super easy to use, and has a ton of extra features i’m sure you didn’t know you needed. it has lots of motivating factors, such as the run levels, which are a great initiative to keep going on regular runs. everyone loves to level up right? the guided runs (narrated by coach bennett my king) make it super easy to start and finish runs, with coach bennett cheering you on (and sometimes andy my other main man) and with the predetermined distance or duration, you know what to expect. you can also join in weekly or monthly challenges with the whole nike run club community and the in app shopping feature makes it easy to find and purchase shoes and other gear. i highly HIGHLY recommend this app if ur starting to run more seriously or just looking for a good tracking app for ur runs. GET THIS APP it’ll blow you away with all its extra features, layout, and accessibility. 10/10!!!.Version: 5.25.1

Lifestyle changer...Edit - Some achievements such as the “3x week” and “3 week streak” are no longer there? Edit - Upgraded to the iPhone 11 and all my runs had been lost. Not only that but at least 3 runs now haven't been recorded. Annoyed and frustrated is an understatement. I always considered myself as someone who would never be a runner. I am not over weight or having truly terrible fitness but I always seemed to gas out within 10 minutes of sustained running. Having watched my uncle participate within the London Marathon and reflecting on 2018 on NYE, I decided to take up running with the objective to simply improve health but also hopefully partake within a running event. The app has taught me so much about running and helped me easily adapt to a new hobby where I have often failed in the past. My first run, I went full Usain Bolt and nearly gassed out again, but discovered the coaching tool. The coaching sessions are unbelievable. The fact that they are free in a world where I have to pay for an in-app purchase to sneeze, is exceptional. They talk about pace, breathing and give general motivation that encouraged me and made me feel as though I was accomplishing my goals. Long story short, within 6 months, I have now completed 3 half marathons (Leeds, Harewood and Liverpool Rock n Roll) and complete a 10k every Wednesday with my running club. Thank you Nike for such an great app..Version: 6.6.0

Best running app I’ve used.I’m younger and started running track a couple years ago I was a sprinter and a hurdler. I used to joke that anything over 400m scared me and that I couldn’t run more than a mile. When Covid happened I was very serious about not getting sick so I opted out of the track season. I started running in my neighborhood and after using several apps I found NRC is the only running app I’ve used that offers it all without me having to pay loads of money. I am not subscribed to it or anything, but I still get all the guided runs and coaching. It’s a really amazing app. I love the Community and the feeling of being apart of something. NRC has given me a lot of confidence in my running. I am not as consistent as I would like to be (school and such) so I haven’t ran over 3 miles yet. Running is a learning experience. This app is really, overall, great. If you happen to stumble across my review and are still debating on getting it I’d say: download it, use it for a couple weeks, if you happen to absolutely hate it you can always delete the app. Anyway I never write reviews, ever, but this app is a lot of fun to be apart of so I figured I’d show it some love..Version: 7.6.0

Five-year user: GREAT but...This is an absolutely fantastic app for running, I have been using it since 2013; I would recommend it to any budding runners. So so so many reasons why I would recommend it. HOWEVER, it would be useful if, when you are doing a set run e.g. 5k or 30 minutes, you could set an audio feedback for the final 100m or 30 seconds for instance so that you know when to push yourself for the final stretch. I am aware you can set frequent audio feedback for throughout the run but for me I don’t want very frequent feedback throughout, just a reminder of when I’m reaching the end so that I can get the best time possible without burning myself out. Also, this app is begging for more personalisation in order to facilitate interval training - I am so surprised that this hasn’t been added yet! You should be able to set some distances/times for the app to alert you at so that you can do interval training..Version: 6.8.1

Doesn’t record nearly half the runsI’ve been using the NRC app for a while now. It was okay in the beginning but lately the runs are not at all recorded. At first it counts down to the run but doesn’t record the progress of the run. I’ve just finished a long run and when I wanted to see how I did, nothing shows up. I finished a half marathon and there is nothing the start and end points. It shows that I have covered 7:35 mins of running but in reality and on my Garmin watch I’ve done 1 hour 45 mins of running up till completion. Simple things like this can be fixed. It wasn’t an issue before but now the app is just awful. 1 star from me..Version: 5.24.0

App keeps deleting runsI have a marathon training program on the go. After every run is logged in the program I’m asked to rate the difficulty of the run. After completing this the app just deletes the run so my training program has been decimated. Yes I’m still actually doing the runs but this makes the training program feature very annoying. I’ll be switching to another app after this race as this is very amateurish. Expected better from Nike..Version: 7.0

Great but too many minor faultsA really good app in terms of creating a well structured running plan to achieve your goal. However, there are too many faults for it to get 5 stars. Firstly, I have a problem where when I finish a run, I assign it to the run in my training plan, but it doesn’t get ticked off. I then have to go back on the run and edit it to assign it to my run, but because it’s been edited it says it won’t count towards personal bests etc. And what’s annoying is that when I start the run, I use the start button for that specific run in the first place. Also, my elevation gain is definitely broken. After 5k runs it’ll say my gain is 300m, which is definitely isn’t. I’m not sure what the problem is here. Lastly I think there should be some improvement on the virtual assistant. On runs it will notify you every km you hit and tell you your average speed, and the same at your half way point. It would be even better if you could set certain distances. Because on my training plan where I have to do say 4x800m, it doesn’t notify me at 800m, it notifies me at every km still. So I always have to look at my phone to see where I’m at. It would also be good if you could set an average speed and the voice would tell you if you’re going too fast or too slow..Version: 6.7.0

Great app but missing one Apple Watch feature! This is a great fitness/running app which I have been using for a month or so on my Apple Watch series 3. I started out using the audio guided runs (which you must download each session to the watch before setting out if you don’t want to take your phone out with you) which are great. But .... now I have started a ‘my coach’ routine which designs a running plan/schedule for you and you cannot get this onto your watch! Nike need to add this feature to the Apple Watch as this feature is pointless unless you take your phone AND watch running with you which rules out the whole point of the watch. Nike could enable a feature where you download your next workout in ‘my coach’ to your Apple Watch like the audio guided runs do. The ‘my coach’ routines have interval training etc so it’s not just a case of seeing how far you need to run on your phone then set off. I hope this feature is added soon as this will be a 5 star app!.Version: 5.11.1

Like but Not LoveI like this app and want to love it. I have been using the coaching aspect of this app for the last month to train for a half marathon. I really like the running plan that I get weekly along with the suggested pace. There have been a few issues for me. Issue one, there have been several runs that show in my general run history but have not been able to assign to my scheduled runs in my coaching history. Issue two, is the lack of instructions on the speed runs along with the fact that the break periods between sets is not automated. There are currently no instructions that I have seen that tell you to pause the run after every set to take the recommended break. One area where I would like to see improvement is having the app log cadence. When I start a run with my Apple Watch I can see my cadence on the watch only. It is not logged for future reference. You also can not see you cadence on your Apple Watch if you start the run from your IPhone. This seems to be a simple improvement that Nike should be able to fix. All in all I think it is a great app and I plan to continue to use it to train for my half marathon. Hopefully Nike makes some improvements in future updates that addresses my concerns above..Version: 6.8.0

Pace estimation off on a treadmill but otherwise 👍👍👍I’ve used this app only once so far but am absolutely loving it. The only thing that’s stopping me from enjoying it 100% is that I am on a treadmill and the pace that gets calculated is sadly WAY off. So I ended up starting and stopping the coach Voiceover to match the distance I had covered. If there could be a feature that’s either syncing the pace with a treadmill (I know that’s hard to do for all models in the world) or simply a button where I can enter my pace (which would also allow me to not have the phone on my body but in front of me), that would be absolutely wonderful! Let me know if I missed that setting - or, if you are ever implementing it, want someone to test it 😊.Version: 7.6.2

Great apart from one thing....NRC is my favorite running app, the only thing I find frustrating is the connectivity with my Apple Watch. I like to start a run from my phone due to having all songs and podcasts on hand. My watch will rarely display the NRC running stats automatically despite me making sure everything is up to date. About a minute into each run my watch will start tracking via the Apple Watch fitness app. No big deal but I do prefer the NRC display due to the large numbers are easier to view at a quick glance. The post run stats are fairly bare boned compared to other run apps but good enough for the occasional runner like me. The guided runs are amazing and my favorite part of the app..Version: 5.26.0

Amazing but one small glitchI’m loving the app. However there is often a glitch that will mean the app will pause my run while I’m still running meaning it doesn’t track me and I lose out on tracking. This is very frustrating and demotivating for me which hinders my run and happiness level after my workout as I know that I’d run further but I can’t know how far. I’ll be running one of the guided runs (without stopping to even walk) and all of a sudden I’ll hear the app say “resuming work out” and I’ll see the app hasn’t been tracking me for the past 10 minutes as if I’d paused it and I immediately get fatigued and demotivated. This has happened on more than one occasion and it is so annoying as I can’t tell exactly how I’m progressing. Please please please sort this out as I’m absolutely love the app apart from that and it has really gotten me into running. I just want to run freely with peace of mind knowing that I don’t constantly have to check the app is tracking me, it puts me on edge which (as you’ll know) is not good for my running..Version: 6.8.1

I am no runner but this has got me hookedSimple, effective and makes me feel part of something greater. Does a good job of getting out of the way, but keeps you posted as you run. Highly recommended.Version: 6.6.0

Great app for achieving personal running goals!I’ve used this app for over a year now and I love it! I particularly love how it’s designed to help you enjoy running and focus on your own personal running goals. It doesn’t compare you to top runners in your local area (which is always a bit demoralising for me) but just helps you to compare against yourself. It also helps you to do a lot of runs where the focus isn’t on the speed or distance. There are heaps of guided runs for easy runs, or recovery runs, or runs where you need some motivation, or runs where a coach tells you to run at different paces at different times (these are my favourite as they are heaps of fun). There’s so many guided runs you would struggle to get through them all. If you want you can also just run without a guide and the app can just keep you up to date on you time/distance/pace etc. All up I think its the best app for working on your personal running goals, where theres no judgement, and you get to have some fun whilst doing it!.Version: 7.10.0

I love this appThe guided runs in this app are the best thing that has happened to my running. I tell everyone to download this app and do the guided runs - they are a total game changer..Version: 7.9.0

Guided Runs a Real Difference Maker - but add some marathon training!I have been using the Nike App for more than a decade. It is highly reliable and does everything it needs to in a run tracker. However, in the past 12 months I have started using the Guided Runs mostly led by Coach Bennett and I can say they have been a real difference maker - helping to break bad habits and reaffirm some good ones. It also helps encourage you to try new things - pickups, tempo runs and yes, even running easy when your body is telling you otherwise. The added discipline from the guided runs has helped me to run longer and more often. In terms of improvements, the runs featuring guest athletes are disappointingly weaker than the others, the conversation feels scripted and possibly stitched together from different recordings, the athletes seem more comfortable when they start to tell stories. Furthermore, the app could benefit from a few options tailored towards those training for a marathon - the longest runs are 2 hours/half marathon distance. with several sessions tailored towards the Half Marathon. Given the quality of training so far I’m sure Coach Bennett would make a great Marathon coach!.Version: 6.10.0

Speed runs are very annoyingI love this app and have been using it to train for my half marathon. However the weekly speed run is a huge hassle, because the app doesn’t tell you when you have run each interval. Instead I have to hold the phone in my hand, keep checking it and then manually hit pause when I reach 400m. Overall very distracting when I’m trying to run faster It would be much better if there’s some audio guide to run along with that tells you when you reach each distance and then counts down the rest interval..Version: 6.8.1

Consistently the best running appI’ve been running with Nike Run Club for years now... I’ve tried other apps recommended by friends at times but this one always trumps them... I’ve comeback after injury & after times I thought I was too busy to run and the way the app supports with guided runs where someone (often Coach Bennett) talks you through the run & normalises how you’re feeling & is just there always gets me back into a running easy framework. Thanks Nike for a fab experience :-D.Version: 7.1.1

The only running app!Absolutely love Nike+ run club. Wouldn’t think about going anywhere else. The achievement reward system and run levels are a great way to keep you motivated and competitive. The only improvement I would recommend is allowing profiles of others to open to all so that you can compare with all level of runners novice and pro. Great job team! Love from New Zealand #fightCOVID.Version: 6.5

Very good but not perfectOn the whole, this app is pretty good. There are lots of great things about it and I’m happy with it However some suggestions would be as follows: before pushing start on the quick start mode, there should be an option to choose whether it is a run or a walk. That way when checking your average pace and so on, your run average pace is not being brought down by walks that you have done. Then to go a step further, in history, you should be able to sort your data into walks and runs There are no audio cues on the 4 x 400 meter workout (this was one of my set activities in my half marathon training plan. It needs audio cues! You should be able to favourite the different workout guides so these can be found more easily. I can never find the one I’m looking for. There should be a contact section, does anyone remember what email is? Not everyone is on social media, I know it’s a shock right.Version: 6.4.1

Get this app and you will love to run!I started using this app after completing the couch to 5K programme on another app, at this point I was still skeptical that I would get into running, as an asthmatic I have always viewed running as something painful, scary and not for me. This app has completely changed my life, no joke, as it turns out I was just running the “wrong way” as coach Bennet would say. The app has taught me to run the right way for me! It has taught me to find my pace and pushed me gradually to keep improving distance and pace the right way. With coach Bennet in my ears I feel I can take on a bigger challenge each week and love all my runs, especially the recovery runs! If this was not great enough it is free, loads of indoor runs and outdoor ones to choose from and lots of fun competitions to keep us having fun and staying motivated! Come join us #everyrunhasapurpose.Version: 7.23.0

Lost the love for fitness and hated running. I love running after 1 month with this app.I used to be a professional athlete and a youth Olympic medalist. Life took over and I lost my love for fitness and with it, my health. I’ve always had a mentality that I hated running. This app has changed my outlook, changed my health and within a month I’ve gone from running 2km at a pace of 6:50/km to 6k avg pace 5:32/km. I’ve told all my nurse mates and I am really enjoying running. I’ve found so many lovely parks and tracks in my urban area and I can honestly say it’s due to this app. Thank you for this seamless experiment and positive app. It’s incredible. Thank you so much.Version: 6.8.1

Makes running fun! This is the first review I’ve written about an app but I think it deserves to be acknowledged and I hope others will enjoy it as much as I have. I’ve never been a fan of running, I’d occasionally go for the odd run here and there but would never really track it or be excited by running. This app has made running so much more enjoyable! I love the ‘coach’ feature. Coach Bennet will get you really invested in ticking off each of the runs/workouts you get set each week. The runs will be set to the level you are currently at and will go off how many times you want to exercise each week (you fill out a short questionnaire when you first log in to the app). Each week the runs you are set get slightly longer building you up to the different goals you set. There are always a variety of runs, from speed training, long distance, endurance running and they also throw in the occasional workout from the Nike Training Club app throughout the week to mix things up. I’ve recommended this app to lots of friends and family. Whether you’ve been running your whole life, you’ve just started or are looking for an app to help encourage and track your progress, I think this is a must-have. It’s free too. I hope you enjoy the app as much as I have so far! Happy running :D.Version: 6.13.0

Unable to Synch With NTCFor some reason it can’t synch with my workouts on NTC despite the fact that it suggests that both apps are ‘partners’ and despite updating and reinstalling the apps This seems to be an ongoing issue for other users too! Please fix.Version: 5.23.0

Tomek:This app helped me very well with tracking my runs and I’m glad you can switch to a treadmill mode. I personally like tracking what I do in a day and this helped a lot. My only problem with this app is that when I did the plan, if I for some reason didn’t get the pace that it asked me to do and then it didn’t count my run as completed because I didn’t get the right pace. I think it should still count my run as complete..Version: 6.9.1

Please fix coach!I love this app, I have run further and faster than I thought I could and the coach app is awesome BUT I can’t start my running week until Tuesday because for some reason, despite knowing that it is Monday, will not flip over to the next week and let me start my runs- I can see them in full schedule but can’t start them. Very demotivating when you just want to start running and are left fiddling with the app in the cold and dark. App knows I’m in NZ, so I’d hope it’s not time difference. It also tags other runs with correct date, so not that either. Please fix..Version: 5.18.0

Been loving this app since 2017!!This app has improved so much since I first started using it. Gets better and better with every update..Version: 7.32.0

Some features i would like to see addedI love this app, it tracks runs well and I personally really like the personal achievements part of it where you can see your personal best time for different distances. I would love to see an achievement added such as a 1.5km personal achievement or a 2km/3km personal achievement. I would also like to see a feature added where you set a distance you want to run and then once you have reached that distance it stops the run for you to allow accurate time recorded instead of having to manually stop the run yourself, adding on seconds to your time..Version: 7.8.0

Great app but..I really enjoy the app. My running has improved 3 fold since the beginning of the year. It is great that it is one of the few apps out there that gives free training plans. The plans are fantastic in giving you goals and kilometres to achieve and give beginners a great starting point. I achieved a pb with using the app for a half marathon. However my only 2 gripes is you don’t have an option to force adapt the training plans. It only happens on Sunday which can be frustrating as dependant on time it sometimes does not adapt. It would be great if you had an option to “adapt plan” when it suited you. Currently you can’t just add runs to a plan you have. Some you can. Others you can’t. I just completed a plan run and it hasn’t saved as being completed within the plan. Very frustrating as if you are wanting to tick each run off you can’t. Also when doing speed runs it would be good it told you through audio when you had hit the required distance rather than being forced to look at your watch the whole time. Pity the people that don’t have a fitness watch attached to their phone as it would be very tedious trying to run near max effort while holding phone and looking at it..Version: 7.1.1

Awesome app but can improveLove this app, but one critique I have is that it can sometimes take hours for a run to show up on the app when I have started it from my apple watch. It would be great if there was a way to force it to check for a run.Version: 7.1.1

AwesomeI started using Nike Run to track my progress and it does just that. You input you goal, for example 2 miles, and while you’re running the app will keep you updated on each benchmark. On a 2 mile run the app will lower my music playing and tell me i’m halfway through meeting me goal! It’ll say i’ve reached 1 mile, my pace, and how much i have left to go. It’s very motivating and helpful. You can also play your own music from Apple Music directly on the app. Once you finish you’re run, it’ll give you all of the diagnostics. Your average pace, your elevation, your distance. This app has helped me keep track of all of my runs this past month and it’s great. Either i’m not too tech savvy or it doesn’t have the feature but i’d love to be able to use it on my apple watch and not bring my phone on my runs. If it does have this feature, let me know! Also, there’s been 2 or 3 times i’ve clicked the start to track my run and a mile in i’ll realize it hasn’t tracked anything although it says it’s tracking. Could be a problem on my end but other than that, great app. Appreciate the motivation & thought..Version: 6.8.1

Great!Love this app! Only issue I’ve had is that occasionally my Apple watch disconnects with the app and then I’m left fiddling with the both of them halfway through my run. Without the watch it can’t effectively track my bpm. Other than that, this app is INCREDIBLE.Version: 7.11.0

Please add a calendar viewGood app, great for tracking. I love the occasional audio guided run (I LOVE Coach Cory) and I like how you can chose different run goals like distance, time or intervals. I would ideally be able to plan my interval runs in advance, and have the app tell me (via audio) when each interval starts/stops like you can on some other running apps, rather than having to remember the intervals myself and have my phone in my hand to start/stop them manually. Please add a calendar view to our running history! I find calendar views the most motivating, rather than just a list, so I can easily see how many times I’ve been running in a week and for how many months by scrolling back. This is functionality in apps like Runkeeper (but that app went downhill for me after Asics got more involved). I like how NRC is a bit of a lighter running app than others, but can be a bit slow to start up sometimes..Version: 6.12.0

App is temperamentalApp is great for tracking running and keeping a log, but often lags and sometimes decides to stop recording while running. Eg. kms into run noticing it has glitched and has randomly stopped? Then having to re start. Annoying! But still okay for use now and again.Version: 5.14

My CoachWhat happened to My Coach? I started my coach training for a marathon but now have to drop to a half. I ended my plan to start a new one and it’s gone! I’ve been using this app for many years. Please put it back on..Version: 7.1.1

Tried others but not as good as this!In the past, I’ve looked at other apps and nothing compares to. This is not only gives you runtimes gives you goals to set and goals to get to has great coaching. If you want someone to talk to you while you run and then you can also play music or you can do. Nothing allows you to set your own pace, set your own goal for the for the run. I think it was a great app. The only thing I could say is that it no longer tells you every half kilometre and I miss that I like to know when I’m halfway through a kilometre and then 1 1/2 km and so on it tells you went to turn although on the third run it doesn’t so be careful of that when he goes 12 1/2, almost that’s when you turn anyway that’s my review. Have a great day.Version: 7.19.0

I’ve never left a review before but this app changed my lifeI’ve never been a runner. Was feeling out of shape and sluggish and stir crazy at the start of quarantine in March, decided to download Nike Running and try getting into running. I am naturally thin and athletic, but at this point in time I was really out of shape and would get extremely winded, to the point of hyperventilating / chest pain after running for just 1 minute straight. I started out with the guided runs, starting with the first interval run - 1min on, 1min off, 8x. I found coach Bennett’s audio recordings helpful, insightful, and just the right amount of distracting to keep me centered in the run, but not TOO aware of the effort I was having to put in. I love that you can play music in the background of the audio for the guided runs. At the beginning, I needed the guided audio to distract me from my effort level. Now it’s been almost 6 months, I no longer need the audio but I still use it about 3x a week. I’ve logged over 400 miles in the app over the past 6 months ! I ran 10 miles the other day, and I’ve now run 7 miles straight without stopping. I’ve never been in better shape. This app changed my life for the better :).Version: 6.12.0

Incredible free resourceThis Nike App has transformed my running. How I approach running, what I believe to be achievable and what I have achieved have all come along lightyears thanks to the session coaching, the available plans and ways to view my data. I used to really struggle with consistency, I’d get stuck in a rut of doing the same runs at the same pace again and again and then losing interest. Using this app led me to my first half marathon (and then second, third, etc) and now I am using it to run my first ever marathon. I love Coach Bennett’s training, he’s magic. All the other coaches are fantastic too. It’s corny to say but running is now so fundamental to how I look after my mind and body, and this app is so fundamental to how I approach running, I honestly can’t imagine my life without it. Thank you Nike 🙏🏼.Version: 7.32.0

Excellent AppPrior to installing this app I’d gone for one run, and struggled. This app has motivated me to do lots more running, it also has a very good personalized coaching system and is very good at tracking your runs, in just a few weeks I’ve already improved drastically in many areas of my running. 10/10 would recommend..Version: 6.6.0

Great app for beginnersI really love this app - I’d give it 4.5 stars as it has really helped me to create a running plan that is really simple to stick to for a newbie like myself. I wouldn’t give it the full 5 stars purely because of its speed run functionality that is not intuitive, really fiddly and potentially quite dangerous to use. Interval runs are really important as part of a running plan but unfortunately the app does not help you to record your runs accurately to the length you are running nor does it time your rest period. This means that when you are running at your top speed you have to have your phone in your hand to check the length and then you have to manually hit lap and pause and then use the phone’s timer out of the app to time your rest period. It’s of course a free app so for everything else that the app is providing is a 5 stars from me. I think it’s a great app for newbies who don’t know where to start and would like guidance on how to be a better runner and push yourself..Version: 6.3.1

Made me a runnerI’ve had periods of running here and there for almost a decade and used NRC since at least 2013. However, what really got me locked on this app almost daily and thereby an amateur runner is its wonderful guided runs. Audio guided programming based on a wide range of topics, distances, run types, and times as well as a newbie running series has eased me into running in a way I’ve never had before. The Headspace collab was also an amazing treat and helped me a lot last autumn when I was dealing with tough personal issues. Running became a safe haven in the day and made me love working out again. Turns out running is about the only workout to do outside during quarantine, too. I wish the social aspect was improved natively on app so that I can engage with friends without seeming like I’m bragging or being annoying on Facebook or Instagram. Also, the apple watch version of the app needs some more work, but the mobile experience has been very meaningful for me despite some minor problems. The my coach function I could do without. Otherwise, love love love this app..Version: 6.7.0

Love this app but hate the “coaches”I love this app, perfect for tracking and keeping motivated. However I hate the voiceovers of different coaches congratulating you at the end of every run. I don’t do guided runs, I only have the distance and pace feedback turned on however every time I finish a run a voice clip plays with a “motivational quote” they ruin my mood after a great work out, I understand why some people might want this feature but I think it’s stupid, please add the ability to turn it off.Version: 7.9.0

Best running app I have ever tried.Never did I ever think I would enjoy running, let alone want to do it again! But this app has definitely changed my mind. The guided programmes are great and actually teach you how to run, when you should be slowing down or speeding up. I struggle a bit trying to connect my music and there were some initial glitches with the music stopping when the coach stopped speaking but I have that figured out. If you have thought about giving running a go, I would recommend this app!.Version: 6.6.0

Great coach but couple of things to sortCoach works well and for someone who has never done much running, I managed to place quite well last year in a duathlon. My issue is that you can’t return to previous weeks and add in a workout as with so many training apps these days it’s not always this one that is used. So even if it’s the following day and you remember to log a workout on here you can’t if it’s gone into the next week. I did have some trouble last year with the watch and phone app not syncing but that seems to have been fixed. The NTC workouts are quite good also. Works quite well with Apple Watch and has a lot of data options which is good. Another thing though I got a phone call this morning which I answered, it stopped the app and didn’t restart itself when I started running again. So missed half the run 🙁.Version: 6.8.0

Great app especially to get you goingThe guided runs are awesome to get you going slowly so you don’t start out too fast. Great easy challenges to keep you motivated. Love this app..Version: 7.9.0

New updates are glitchy!I have used the Nike running app for longer than I can remember and it is truly a brilliant app. The guided runs are fantastic; motivating and useful, and the tracking is very accurate. Since the updates at the end of December, there have been some notable issues with the algorithm within the app: tracking runs is very accurate, but the ‘total mileage’ for some reason is completely random and often 10-15km more than what I’ve actually covered. It also issues achievement awards seemingly randomly as I haven’t run 7x in a week for many months, but last week I still received that milestone badge. When going to write in details about the run (surface/effort/notes) it is VERY slow and takes about a minute to update each one. I still use the app but I also now track with my Apple Watch on the Apple fitness app, which (for some reason) does not sync with the Nike app, because occasionally Nike randomly turns off mid-run and then the tracking is all over the place..Version: 7.2.1

Good, but could be betterIt’s a good run tracker, but I have a few suggestions. (1) On the Activity tab you can see each run along with the badges you got for that run; this is nice, but when you tap on the run to view more details, those badges don’t show so you can’t get more info about those; instead you have to navigate to a different Achievements page. So it would be nice if you could see all the badges associated with the run when you view the details of that run, and then be able to click on the badge to get more info about it. (2) When you get a badge for beating your previous record (like fastest 5k or the longest run badge) I want to see what my previous record was so that I know how much I improved. I don’t think there’s any way to view this in the app currently; when you get a badge for beating your record and then click the badge, it only shows the new record. It would also be nice to see all of the values for your personal records for that badge, so that you could for example see how your personal best mile time has improved over the months/years..Version: 7.16.0

Long term userStarted using Nike plus in 2007 and made the switch to the app a few years ago now. Have enjoyed most of the new developments like mapping the run, being able to post to social media and adding photos. A few things I think will help; 1 Nike Fuel; what is the point? I rely on other apps (such as running heroes) for rewards but think Nike should have done something by now. 2) live tracking; on long runs would be cool for followers to track progress real time. 3) syncing can take a while, especially from Apple Watch and doesn't seem to happen automatically (you have to open the app. Will be interesting to see what things come in the future and still my go to app for tracking (too much history, so that keeps me loyal). Update Jan 24 well here I am 17 years of using Nike to track my runs. I see from my past review that Nike fuel has been binned and still no live tracking which Garmin does. No problems syncing anymore but I use Garmin and feed it through to the Nike app as prefer Garmin watches over Apple and the Nike app. Need a new level after volt as have been volt for years. Would also like some validation of results for challenges as some people’s miles are just ridiculous and it makes it a pointless exercise using it as a motivation too. I will stay with Nike probably forever as it has all my history. So many apps doing Rewards and I think something could be done in this area. And I want an avatar, that would be cool..Version: 7.31.0

Still the best running companionI’ve been using NRC for over 10 years, since the days of Nike+ with the sensor in the shoe. Since then the app has gone through so many changes, but has consistently been the number 1 running app for me. Some changes I may not have liked at first (I miss the online dashboard) but ultimately that didn’t take away from the experience NRC offered. One feature I was sad to see go was the training plans, as I used one of those to train for my first half marathon, the mix of runs and workouts gave a nice variety and kept training fresh in a way the downloadable ones from the website can’t. The current version of the app, for all intents and purposes, I cannot fault it. Now that I have an Apple Watch it’s even better as I get the NRC experience during a run without having to carry my phone with me. The only feedback I have would be to offer a dark mode for the mobile app similar to the look on the Apple Watch. Otherwise, NRC is still feels like app that became my training partner so many years ago..Version: 7.4.1

Great coaching functionThe best thing about this app is the FREE coaching function for various distances. You pick your goal and then follow the program. The app monitors how you are going against the plan and changes it each week to make sure you are always in the sweet spot of it being challenging but fun. Other running apps you need to pay for this functionality. The app does occasionally glitch out and you need to close out of it to reset it. Syncing with Apple Watch is also not quite seamless. If they fixed those two things then it would be 5 stars..Version: 5.8.0

Good app for runningAfter trialling with several running apps, I chose Nike+ because it is easy to use and sync with my watch perfectly. Great companion for running. I can play Sportify music directly within the app too. The map view is also great, it actually motivates me to run longer..Version: 5.9.0

Great interfaceThere are a ton of running apps out there but this has the best interface from the ones i've tried. It has all the features i need, without the clutter that others do. Also, being free it's not nagging me to upgrade to a paid plan!! Such great value..Version: 6.6.0

Never was a runner beforeI was never a good runner, my parents always told me that it just wasn’t in our genes. The guided runs help me a lot with making sure I’m not going to fast for my body. I do think that a “ghost” option would be a neat feature. Just something that you can race against your fastest 1k and see if you’re on pace to beat it. Great app all around.Version: 6.11.0

Run run run!!!I use it every time I does the jogging!!! Highly recommended!!!.Version: 5.8.0

Nike Running ClubOkay so, I’ve been using both Nike Running and Nike Training for about 4 years now and they have been perfect. However, since getting my Nike Apple Watch about a year ago, I’ve been struggling. The watch version of the app needs some serious work; the idea is excellent, but overall it has some flaws. From my run this morning ALONE; 1) started a guided run, had to wait for multiple minutes for the GPS to kick in before I could start running. 2) about half a KM in the guided audio stopped and so did the run tracking. 3) after I’d stopped and watched the annoying GPS circle for another couple of minutes the tracking started again, the same run, but the guided audio was no longer working. 4) the delay in pausing and resuming a run is horrific. If I need to retie my shoelace, my mins per KM skyrockets because it doesn’t pause as soon as I press it. 5) I finish a run, but IT WONT LET ME END THE RUN BECAUSE IT TAKES FOREVER TO LOAD THE END SCREEN. So seconds get added on to my time. 6) once I’ve paused it and am about to hit “end” it randomly resumes. This happened 3 times to me today before I could end the run and another minute was added to my time. I love this app, but the watch app has FLAWS. Please please please fix them!!.Version: 5.24.0

Extremely good, but...I love Nike. I am a runner and I train mostly in Nike gear, and I have been using NRC since its beginning. The app is intuitive and suitable for any runner, the guided runs are simply amazing (coach Bennett is my best running companion) and overall there are very few matching options out there (mostly paid). The training plans however have disappeared in the latest major update, which is a real shame. An odd move, especially in the current climate attracting more people to the sport of running. Minor glitches will be sorted out with a further update I am sure, but will the training plans come back? I doubt it, and although it isn’t a deal breaker for me it is certainly disappointing. I still recommend the app to anyone who runs or would like to start and fall in love with this amazing sport. Edit as of 30th September 2021 The training plans are back! I’ve completed the 14 weeks half marathon plan and I’ve smashed my HM PB at the Hackney Half - a great result also thanks to the plan. It’s refreshing to see that Nike listened to many runners calling for the training plans back, I’m looking forward to the next starting line!.Version: 7.9.0

Almost perfect and excellent for beginners!!I always hated running 🏃 outside specially on roads but due to Covid-19 and the gyms being closed, I had to get my cardio somehow. I bought myself an Apple Watch ⌚️ series 5 Nike Edition not to brag 😅but I got it as a fitness motivator since I like to keep track of data to see improvements. After I set up the Nike Run Club app and a nice pair of Nike running sneakers 👟 I found myself wanting to run more and more. The coach is awesome it definitely helps with motivation specially if you’re a beginner. The tools you have in the app like the challenges are a great way to keep you from reaching your goals. The data is very detailed from heart rate to the pace of the run and of course the distance among other things. NOTE AND CAUTION: The only reason of why I gave it a 4 stars ⭐️ instead of 5 is because if by mistake you stop the current run on your watch and begin another, you can’t sync the two runs together. If you edit the info on a run manually like the miles or the time and you’re doing a challenge like the 15K it won’t count towards it. Other than that it’s great 👍🏼 highly recommended for beginners..Version: 6.9.1

Fantastic CoachingI’m really impressed with the coaching available as part of the app. I picked up running recently and had started tracking runs in Strava. I decided to check out NRC because a friend of mine is using it and referenced it. I’m sure glad that I did! Previously I would just go out and run hard. But it’s hard to motivate for that kind of pain. I decided to try NRC’s 10k program to give me something to work toward. It has me doing speed runs, recovery runs, longer distances, etc. As a new runner, it has made running accessible and even kinda fun. My problem is with the app itself. My 10k program from Nike is a PDF and it says which “Guided Run” I should do in the app. It begs the question why isn’t the program itself in the app? Failing that I should at least be able to search the guided runs for the name provided. But, no. So that’s why 4/5 ⭐️. It seems like they could do so much more with this app too. The coach doesn’t know my pace so can only say the level of effort I should put in. But the app does! It doesn’t seem like it would have to be very sophisticated AI to customize the training plan to me. Age should be considered too. As a 50-something I’m just not going to build strength and stamina at the same rate as a younger runner. In short, I’m happy. I’m glad I’m using the app. You should definitely download it and give it a try. AND there is still a lot of opportunity for it to grow and improve..Version: 7.15.1

Why?Why is the app updating everyday? Is this a bug?.Version: 6.4.1

Get the App - ‘Just do it’!This is hands down one of the best running apps out there. My running has improved so much and I’ve fallen in love with it. The guided runs are encouraging and entertaining and there’s lots to choose from. I’ve recommended this app to so many friends and family and they’ve all said how brilliant it is!.Version: 7.4.1

Loved it from the first run!I started running with couch to 5 k but never made it to the end because the run lengths didn’t suit me, found NRC and loved it from the first run! Using an Apple Watch seeing my pace helped to stop me running too fast and then not making my distance. Now I love the achievements & challenges and have created some of my own, they are a real encouragement to just hit that target. Love tracking all the numbers, this has 100% improved and helped me maintain momentum in my running..Version: 6.5

Adding pictures to shoesOverall I like the app and it work well for what I need especially tracking on the mileage of my running shoes. On the other hand, I really hope that NRC will allow us to upload our own shoes photos as I am wearing different shoes for different purposes and sometime they might not just be Nike....Version: 7.1.1

Great app, very motivatingLove this app. My running has improved greatly with the coaching in the guided runs. Keeps me motivated and keeps me fit. Thanks team for all the work you put into this app. One thing I’d like to request: can you please add a favourites section for your guided runs in the watch app? There’s so many guided runs now (which is great) but that means a lot of scrolling and searching to find my favourite guided runs. A dedicated ‘favourites’ section would be amazing and very efficient..Version: 7.14.0

Love it!I started running exactly a month ago and I’m starting to run every night, I used to be someone that hated running and one day I told my friend that I wanted to workout with him because I’m working to be a QB and he said are you down to run 2 and a half miles and I said yes but in reality I was not. I tried and I only ran .43 before stopping and I couldn’t breathe at all but now I can run 6 miles with no stopping and I run every night and usually run 5 miles every night. My friend admitted to me the other night that after that day he thought he would never run with me again, he said he thought I didn’t push myself hard enough which is VERY true. Now every night I get to 5 miles and I want to go another mile and I get to 6 and I want to run another. I have had one problem with the app which is that the map screws up and it’s not as accurate but still close. I may not be the fastest runner and my pace is not the best but I’m getting better. I share this not to brag but to push others to be their best and get better because trust me I know it gets hard but you will one day be the person you want to be. This app has helped me so much on my running journey and is my favorite app..Version: 6.8.1

Try it out! This app really is amazing. I’m one of those people where if something doesn’t really work for me, it really doesn’t work…if it works for me, it really works. This app really works for me so far. The guided runs are really helpful to reduce stress/anxiety about runs. The advice and information the coaches give fills up the time and is oftentimes humorous so it takes your mind off of the work you’re putting in a little bit. The training plans have also been really helpful for me because they make it easy to just get out and run and not really stress about planning, pace, effort, progress, etc. They get you where you need/want to go as you run. They also track a bunch of metrics for you so you don’t have to bother with keeping track of it yourself. I hope they add more training plans because the only ones I see now are the beginner plan, 5k plan and the half marathon plan. I would love to see training programs for 10k, running fast miles, marathons etc. Hopefully that’s in the works. Still, at the very least, I would recommend everyone try out this app. It’s at least worth the shot and a few weeks of running to see if it’s for you. Oh, and it’s completely free..Version: 7.13.0

Pretty good! A few tiny things to fixI love this app, I have been using it for the last few months and using the half marathon training plan. Really simple to use. 2 things though: I’d love to be able to turn up the volume on the guided runs, independent of my music volume - it’s really hard to hear over the top of your music AND there should be a better way of adding your interval training manually, maybe an interval option (I do my intervals on the treadmill and would rather not have to carry my phone while running to get the correct data, so I’ll often just add it manually after the run but there’s not a good way of doing it). Overall really good though!.Version: 5.18.1

More to come? This update seems to be paving the way for a much higher level of functionality in the Nike+ app. I only used the previous app for a couple of weeks so I am obviously less upset than other reviewers about the changes. Overall the app has functioned well at tracking my runs. The user interface is unfortunately rather hard to navigate (but it looks nicer than before). Genre selection from iTunes would be good to have. Also BPM matching!! :) Update- recent builds of NRC barely run on my IPhone 6, making it hard to start and laggy when operating. An earlier bug (now fixed) switched off the music at run start. Also I run a pretty much consistent distance but it often measures it quite differently. Could do with looking at......Version: 5.10.0

Fantastic App!Can NRC incorporate more services for listening during workouts? Audible would be an awesome addition to Spotify and Apple Music (love to run to a good audiobook!).Version: 7.23.0

Goes the distanceI’ve used Nike a Run Club for several years (back when I had the sensor on my shoelace) and now I have just hooked up the NRC with my new Apple Watch. Tracking pace, route, heart rate and mapping all works well and integrates nicely with the Apple ecosystem. I would have given the App 5 stars except the App will NOT WORK if I have my VPN on in my Apple Phone. All my other exercise apps work fine with my VPN and, given the great experience I’ve enjoyed for about a decade, this seems like an amateur error by Nike. If this is not fixed I’ll have to go back to Garmin.Version: 5.21.1

Great app even without the coachesI love this app and look forward to my coached runs. It helps spurring me on having that little voice in my ear telling me to “slow down” or asking me what I’m having for lunch. The coaches have taught me to run better, smarter and hopefully avoid the injuries I used to pick up. I recently started using the get fitter plan which is a personal plan based on your current ability. Knowing how far I will be running or how long for is better for me as runs can sometimes feel open ended and then I don’t put the right amount of effort in or finish early because I can. If I finish a coaches run early I feel like I’ve cheated myself or let them down lol. Also knowing you’re running for 25 minutes seems easier to fit into the day so a run doesn’t feel like it’s hard to fit in. I’ve been using this app for years but only recently have I been taking full advantage of what it offers and I feel like a better runner. You can still use it though for those head clearing open ended just want to run runs too. And it’s nice to see the map and my friends enjoy making pictures out of the shapes I run on social media..Version: 6.0.0

No more excusesAbout 6/7 years ago I use to be really fit and run for miles, but after sustaining an injury I stopped altogether and put on a lot of weight, after spending hundreds on lots of different apps (including weight loss, gym, running, etc) and seeing no change I gave up all hope. One day my mate started getting really fit and healthy (she is the least sporty person you meet), I wanted to know where her sudden burst of energy came from and she told me about this app, after being abit skeptical, I decided to give it a go and let me tell you I’m glad I did, weight has shed and hope is restored, although I can’t run miles/miles I’ve got bundles of energy and can actually run 20 minutes and not be collapsed. Please give this ago. It well worth the time and costs NOTHING!.Version: 6.8.1
