✓ Azan problemIve had this app for a very long time mashaAllah . its really helpful and useful when wanting to know when a certain prayer starts, however, it might be the phone or not but ever since I’ve gotten the new iPhone my azans have been cut short. The end of the azan in my case only gets to the first “Allahu Akbar” and its done. Similarly, the other azan app i use has the exact same problem; it does not play well. I uncertain how to fix this issue, so please help me!.Version: 14.5
✓ Shuruk and crashThis app keeps crashing after the new iOS update. Also, can you please put the shuruk timing on the iPhone widget so I know when fajr ends? ✓ Excellent AppAs a Muslim who lives too far away from a Masjid to attend and also disabled I find this App one of my useful accessories in my life ...it helps me in my relationship with Allah(swt) in so many ways which to a degree helps with my isolated status. It is a real blessing thank you ... One tiny / minor issue I wish it would work in landscape mode on my iPad or does it and I need to do something with it ? Plus since latest update my call to prayer function has ceased to work ? I have dropped the rating to 1 star as I wanted just notifications for prayer now I am bombarded with a whole host of other notifications I can’t stop grrr….update 12.7 left app juddery and not functioning well…further issues since latest update …they cure one thing. ✓ Quran English TranslationSalam, the English translation in this app is wrong. In a lot of Surahs you will find add on letters with most verses such as “I” and “a” that are not in the Arabic recitation nor spelling. Secondly you will also find some surahs will not give the proper stretch or emphasis in the part of the Surah as the Arabic translation does this. In some instances the English traslation does stretch by repeating the same letter for the length of the emphasis however many were missed. You will find many of these errors in the last 10-15 surahs of the Quran. I noticed this learning more surahs with my revert wife when I heard she was learning the Quran from this app incorrectly. ✓ Nice platform, but the ads are too annoyingThe app was really good before. But now it has way too many ads. Sometimes when we are out and we have a few minutes left to pray a salah, and we want to urgently check where the Qibla long ads start to play. Which is so very annoying. And highly irrelevant ads on an Islamic platform !! Now you’d say just buy the pro ad-free version, but not everyone needs all the features offered with a paid subscription! ✓ Enjoy all the features but wish it wouldn’t bugThe prayer and fasting tracker is super useful and motivating if you’re trying to build to 5 prayers a day. Also the Quran reading feature is really nice, you can switch from the Arabic and translation side by side version to a full Arabic mushaf and there is audio of both the translation and the arabic recitation. The Quran reading plans are also very motivating. Have used this app for around 5 years now. I just don’t like the placement of ads just as you’re about to open the Quran or as you’re reading. So I subscribed but now there are loads of glitches where the app simply won’t open or opens for a second and closes itself again. Really annoying. This was since the latest update so I’m not sure if it was the update or the fact I subscribed if anyone could help would be really appreciated..Version: 14.3.1
✓ Asking for more moneySalam brother, I do like this app, but I rated this low because I paid twice to get rid of the add and also for the premium version in another device. I have many other Quran app and prayer times app but none is so expensive and continuously asking for money. Even though I paid add appears again. ✓ Disappointing - try another appSo let’s firstly start with the ads. I used this app literally from the start, I got so annoyed when they first introduced adverts and even more so annoyed that they were completely inappropriate and haram - a bit counterproductive you would think.. THEN, I paid for no ads as a premium because I genuinely used the app and found it very helpful for both qibla and prayer times. Literally the two main features I was using regularly. NOW - no acknowledgement of my pro purchase, which was a one off fee; a bit haram to take money from someone and then change the parameters and move to a residual monthly charge scheme. I’ve literally decided enough is enough and will delete and trial other apps. I did contact their customer services and apparently I never had it; well I did because I made a point of paying to stop those annoying adverts in the first place. I’m quite happy to pay but not for features I have no intention in using; don’t force things down your customers throats. Hopefully they will walk and enough move away from what once was an essential app, and discover that the monetisation of this is pretty much a joke. I still haven't quite forgiven you though for the sale of data to outside parties until it fell into the wrong hands. You may have argued as you did that this party you sold the data to was responsible for their falling into wrong hands, but a lot of Muslim data have been handed to you on trust and should never have been sold. ✓ It was good when it was for Deen!I’ve had this app since the beginning when it didn’t have much features. With time as it slowly got better, it also got worse. First thing first, it’s an app for ads now. Not Islamic duas. Before it was better. Focused on the main objective of the app. The Qibla compass is not working anymore. It’s just stuck in one position and of course, there’s an ad for you. When you open the app, there’s an ad. If you want to look up a dua for something there’s an ad. If you want to find out what day it is in Islamic calendar, there’s an ad. If you want to set prayer time, there’s an ad. If you want to go to the community chat, there’s an ad. If you want to see Hadith of the day, there’s an ad. If you want to use the app anyhow, there’s an ad. ✓ 3 stars becauseThis app is amazing mashallah in terms of duaas, Quran, and so fourth BUT the prayer times. Subhanallah. Why are my prayer times wrong? I used to rely on Muslim pro telling me when prayer is in but people have questioned why I’m praying a salah before it’s even come in and that question alone left me confused so I’m now searching and asking from my local masjid the correct prayer times because Muslim pro have done me wrong a few too many times 😅 For instance. Wednesday the 27th of October the times on Muslim pro have changed, baring in mind it’s not supposed to change until the end of the month. Muslim pro said Dhuhr is 11:49 the rest of London and my local masjid said “it’s 12:49”. ✓ Free version full of ads and stops adhan playingThe free version is full of ads, as soon as adhan starts an ad comes up and when you try to close it it stops adhan. Also wherever you go like prayer times or reading the Quran ads pop up which is very distracting. Thats why i deleted it. I even learnt how to realize qibla by my shadow, and the time through website again. ✓ Not what it used to beI am sad to have to say this, but I will be deleting this app after being an early paid subscriber and supporter for many years. This app used to be the best for notifying me of prayer times, giving the direction of the qibla and providing a built in Quran. That’s all it ever needed. But it seems you have overreached and made this an app that won’t stop alerting me to things like Qalbox and all the other features. And there is no option to just have notifications for the prayer times. So if I don’t want random notifications, I have to turn off the prayer notifications and that defeats the whole purpose of the app for me. Now that I have notifications turned off, when I open the app it bombards me with at least three notifications, for Qalbox, to turn on notifications, and to buy a monthly subscription when I am already a lifetime member. What is this? I understand all the additional features and I’m sure you are doing them with the best of intentions, but then at least give me the option to turn those notifications off. Please. ✓ UPDATED review : Why sign in using mobile phone number ?I like this App very much especially as a premium user, but I had to stop using it because after some update it is now asking for my mobile phone number to sign-in, usually, I sign in to Apps using my email address not my mobile phone number which is my very personal detail and I don't want to share it with any App developers. Why do you need my phone number for? Why not just allow email to sign-in like ALL other App developers. I'm no longer using 'Muslim Pro' App now and I won't until you change the sign-in policy from mobile phone number to email. UPDATED REVIEW : I received a detailed ‘developer response’ and I appreciate their effort to my reply and also trying to solve my sign-in issues, but however I didn’t resolve my issues, the developer is asking me that instead of using my mobile phone number to sign is try with Facebook or Google but I don’t use Facebook or Google at all which means if I refuse to use my own personnel mobile number and if I don’t have FaceBook or Google than I can’t use ‘Muslim Pro’ application. ✓ Slow down with the ads pleaseThere are too many ads showing up on the app these days, to the point that it has become almost impossible to use the app for its intended purpose. I have used this app for a long time for reading Quran and bookmarking the ayah I was at. But recently I have seen ads popping up even while trying to read Quran. I am thinking of finding a better alternative. I get it that apps need to make money too. But if I am shown a video app while I paused reading Quran and just opened it again, it is a big annoyance. There were a few ads that would pop up once in a while, but not like this. My logic is if the app is already more popular, the developers must be making more money already from running a few ads. ✓ I used to love the app but not after this....The guy behind this app is a French non-muslim who sends any info that we have of ourselves on the app to the American government in the name of ‘combatting terrorism’. They have tried to hide this from you but have now been exposed. I used to love using this app as it was very helpful for me to keep track of my prayers, read some inspirational quotes and read the Quran. I have just realised that there are many mistakes too even in the translation of Surah Fatihah. I recommend u switch to another app but make sure you know it’s safe and that it’s going to be helpful. ✓ Don’t get taken by Qalbox and Muslim ProSo, I saw their adds on Facebook and thought I would give it a try for the one week free trial period which of course requires that I give payment info to get the subscription. I felt that I could trust them. I signed up and did go through their streaming app, but found it doesn’t really offer very up to date entertainment and most of what they have is available online somewhere free of charge. I’ve never really liked their phone app for the adhan and stuff. Anyway I cancelled the subscription before the time it was to be activated and they have charged my card anyway. I emailed them requesting that they refund my charge as I cancelled my subscription, but they claim they never received the funds. First of all they also had requested me to send my credit card number to them to verify. Which I would NEVER do that because I work in accounting and we can see everyone’s account with the last 4 digits of their number. I feel I’ve been cheated and that they are very untrustworthy. You open the Quran in app and there’s an add back out of the Quran to go look at your daily verse there’s another ad. Many of the ads I receive are for gambling on sports. I neither gamble nor am I a huge fan of sports so why is that one of the main ads besides ads for games. It’s been extremely disruptive during this month of Ramadan and I’m extremely disappointed in an app that I use to love so much. ✓ Once a great app now being run by greedy crooksI installed this app in 2015, when it was in its infancy. I paid the asking price to get rid of advertisements. I recommended the app to numerous friends and family members. It did a great job until last Ramadan, when the developers bombarded me with messages forcing me to sign up for their video channel and monthly subscription. I wasn’t interested in their videos, and I didn’t need a monthly subscription because I had already bought the app by making a one-off payment. When the developers failed to extort money through unsolicited adverts, they changed my paid app into a free version. I tried to restore my purchase, but it didn’t work. There is no help option available in the app either. I have now raised the issue with Apple Support. I want the developers to answer why they are forcing customers to subscribe or purchase an app they have already paid for. It should get a 5 star from me but I’ll tell you why I’m giving 1 star instead of 5. The app doesn’t have landscape mode and that’s a problem for people using iPad Pro as they are so big and difficult to hold in portrait. I use my iPad mostly sitting on my desk in landscape mode and would prefer to read Quran that way as well. Second, I rely on the iOS widget for prayer times and check it multiple times a day, but the widget is missing sunrise time. It is so important to know the sunrise time when setting your alarm every night to plan when I wake up in the morning. I have emailed the developer about this multiple times but no response. So that is why I’m taking the time to write a review. I usually don’t. I feel the dev team doesn't really care what the users want because I see many other people requesting the same feature for years and they have done nothing about it. If someone from their team reaches out to me and acknowledge these issues then I’m willing to bump it up 3 stars. And upon adding the features, you’ll have 5 stars. ✓ Fake soul-less appI don’t recommend downloading, getting premium, or have anything do with this app. I signed up for an annual premium plan on January 11, 2023 - everything was smooth until mid Feb/late March. It indicated I am not a premium member and popped advertisements left and right, a ridiculous amount of ads. I didn’t know one has to be inconvenienced this much to practice one’s religion - very shameful. I searched for a solution to my issue and the app said to go to “profile” and “tap to restore”. Unfortunately, that doesn’t do anything and I am very frustrated and disappointed. Today: October 12, 2023. This issue has not been resolved, and I basically paid for for a year and benefited for only 2 months. ✓ Error in Quran verseHi, I was reading surah Yaseen, and I noticed several errors in the Arabic Quran verse (for example in verse 71, mimma was mamma in Arabic). I was using the Uthmani pack. I know the Help section says to change to another if the Arabic doesn't display correctly, but for those who isn't familiar with the verses won't know it's wrong. And I grew up learning the Uthmani syllabus, so I would prefer using that. Now I'm just afraid to use the app, as I wouldn't know if what I'm Reading is correct, whichever pack it is.
