Still buggyThe latest update has reintroduced a very annoying occasional bug where the cryptic crossword stops auto advancing as letters are typed, repeats the last letter typed when a square is selected, then locks up. The only cure is to delete and reload the app, with the loss of all puzzle data going back three weeks ... meaning any incorrect entries in the prize crosswords cannot be seen. Also, auto-download has stopped working. At the beginning of the year the Sudoku puzzles were absent for two days and the order of the puzzles keeps changing. This lack of attention to detail takes two stars off the rating. Must try harder. 17 May 2023: I had to delete and reload when the puzzle pages started showing "Loading" but doing nothing..Version: 5.2.5

OK but lack of search is incredibly irritatingThe app is ok as far as it goes but it’s a bit maddening not to be able to locate a particular article by searching for it in the app; I have to use a search engine to do that? Add a search and I’d give it 5* :-).Version: 5.2.0

TelegraphRepeatedly fails to download the latest edition. You have to delete the App and reload. As well when it does rarely deign to favour you with today’s paper , The Times has beaten it by hours..Version: 3.3.9

I can understand why they've done it but....There are just too many ways these days to get quality news for free - so why pay $2.59 an issue just to read it in 'The Telegraph'? OK it's probably ad free but the ads don't usually bother me too much, and hey I even read them sometimes!.Version: 2.0.1

The TelegraphI have read the Telegraph for 61 years and relied on it to give me a global view of the world. Now the Editor seems to be totally in the hands of the Brexiteers and seems to have forgotten the readership that I represent. I still read it to try to understand what the Brexiteer faction are trying to achieve- to no avail. The bias is becoming less subtle and more extreme right wing as the time approaches Brexit on 31/10. I can only imagine it is still owned by the Barclay Brothers who are obviously controlling Telegraph content and direction but seem to be living a life of European Tax efficiency in Monaco and Guernsey. So they are Globalists but working against the UK interests and are probably going to bet and hedge on the collapse of sterling and come in , buy all the bargains , and then encourage a new EU ( Northern Europe countries) and make huge profit on the new regained value of the bankrupt stocks when the dust settles. Meanwhile the normal man in the UK street has had another recession nightmare! Not even wondering what the man same man in the EU will have endured! We are in the calm before the storm!.Version: 3.3.11

Not impressedMy last issue ended on the12th of September. It's now the 17th and I'm still waiting for the new issue. Very disappointing..Version: 2.5.1

More difficult to useThis new version of the app does not allow you to Swipe to the left to move to the next story. After reading an article you must now go to the top of the page and tap “back” to return to the main page and then select another article. This change makes the app much less readable..Version: 5.0.3

Puzzles Section Needs WorkThe early versions of the app were 5*. The last version had problems on the iPad. The puzzles would get slow to respond to touch and the only way to clear it was to exit the puzzle, open another page and then return. It started to use a lot of battery too. The latest version is even worse. The same slow response problem occurs much more frequently and the work around requires closing the puzzles section, going to the paper and returning. The power drain is now frightening, only attempt puzzles with the charger connected and the tablet on full charge. Attention to detail is abysmal. For the past 2 days the Reveal button on the Quick Crossword has been the Prize button. The Prize button should only appear on the Cryptic on the Weekend editions. It looks like this latest version was only tested on the news sections! Must try harder DT The rest of the app is much as before. The Gallery has been removed, which is a shame. Otherwise the changes seem cosmetic..Version: 4.0.3

Irresponsible journalism on Gaza/IsraelI subscribed because of the telegraph’s excellent reporting on Ukraine, especially their daily podcast. I was immediately disturbed that their reporting on the Gaza/Israel war has been so one-sided, even reinforcing Islamophobic tropes. I will not support an organization that implicitly supports occupation, horrendous civilian casualties, and authoritarianism. I’m appalled at your moral hypocrisy - all occupation is wrong, all civilian harm is wrong, not just when it’s in Ukraine! (Dom and Francis, please speak up! I know you to be thoughtful and moral people).Version: 5.2.8

Crazy priceThe price is crazy. There's nothing magic about an "app." Folks, there's a universal app on the iPad, it's called "Safari." Fire it up, and go to the Telegraph's website, where you can get the full version of the Telegraph, 100 times more info, for free..Version: 2.0

SubscriptionHave a valid Apple Pay subscription but new app keeps saying invalid subscription..Version: 5.0.6

The new app doesn’t download current issueIt can be days before an issue will download. The Belgian company that made the app has responded “delete it and reload it.” That is their only solution. It still doesn’t work. I’ve tried to get help since the new app came out...but haven’t received any assistance. With the incredible amount of money you pay for a subscription, you’d expect to actually be able to read the paper..Version: 4.0.3

BREAKING BADAfter latest "update" paying subscribers are unable to download TODAY'S paper. For nearly a week what is available is "YESTERDAY'S paper. It's as if Basil Fawlty were making an newspaper app! Just checked iTunes & Apple is still billing me $16.09. Every month…for yesterday's paper. This is more than "sharp practice" it borders on fraud! I have uninstalled & re-installed a half dozen times (the telegraph's solution) to no avail. I am not alone apparently thousands are experiencing the same faults being told un-install/install etc. HEADLINE for Telegraph app: "BREAKING BAD" Want YESTERDAY's News and want to pay-for-it --- This is the app for you..Version: 2.6.10

Not loadingLatest iPad OS and telegraph for iPad latest version. It will not load on a regular basis. Touch the icon get "the telegraph" page for two min then reverts to regular iPad. This has been happening for about two weeks now. Reinstalled telegraph to no avail. About 1/6 times it might Load correctly. Don't want to keep on paying for this! Cheers. Chris.Version: 2.1.1

AdvertisingI’m not happy about the high level of advertising, especially for Telegraph offers, after I’ve paid the digital subscribers’ subscription..Version: 3.3.11

Terrible font sizeIf purchased in the app, my sub should work on mobile Safari. So many news & tech companies just milk everyone. Pay the designers more..Version: 5.2.8

Worst nightmareI have subscribed besucase I have found an article I was really interested in. I never could access it. I have been asking for a new password since then and I never got an email to help me. I reached out in Facebook and nothing. They do not have a proper help system where you can talk to them. So, I am infuriated that even when I could not read any news they keep sending marketing emails and charged me for a subscription I have not been able to use..Version: 5.3.0.2

Where do my answers go?There I am, at the end of my crossword. Do I submit my answers or wait until morning so I can run through them again first? I leave the app snoozing quietly but when I return my crossword is bare. This is hardly a festive update. Please learn how to keep my answers safe while I sleep..Version: 4.0.9

Not badLove reading conservative papers but really wish the "manage subscription" function worked..Version: 2.5.1

This app is dark agesI love the paper, but the app is impossible. There is no search feature, which is nonsense, & is no way to easily segue to the full website (& plenty of content is only available on the full site) & my device defaults to the app, & then with no way to access the full site, I’m stuck. Please change all of this!.Version: 5.1.6

Great when it works as it shouldI have had this app from the beginning and have experienced the odd annoyance on occasions, anything from not downloading automatically to having missing photographs that then cause it to crash before re downloading correctly. Even with the various updates these can still happen. On the bright side it's great to be able to read the paper first thing in the morning in bed without either getting dirty hands from newsprint or needing a light on should my husband still be sleeping. It is disappointing that not all stories are online. I especially like the photo galleries and being able to go back and re read news of interest again without the need to look through paper! Since the last update the paper has crashed at least once every day. I'm also getting corrupted pages, writing appears over pictures, and some articles are impossible to read at all, on the bright side some of the adverts don't load either. It’s now February 2018 and this app has got to the point where women the paper does automatically download it then crashes repeatedly, up to six times a day, I’ve tried deleting and reloading but nothing helps, I’m wondering if I’m the only person experiencing this problem, I keep waiting for an update..Version: 3.3.4

New telegraph appVery old-style appearance much more difficult to read. Poor layout compared with the previous version. If it wasn't broke why mess about with it. It's awful. Please bring back the old one..Version: 4.0.2

Change in format.I think it was Friday when our version of the Daily telegraph suddenly changed without warning to something that I find hard to navigate. The most annoying change for me other than the format is the fact that I seem to have lost the ability to check my crossword . If it isn’t broken why fix it?.Version: 4.0.3

More than one type of Rugby.I just nearly cancelled my Telegraph trial yet decided to hold off and ask a question. May I ask why the coverage of Rugby is only featuring the Rugby Union version of the sport? I would be interested to know as living in Devon for many years I also suffered at the hands of blinkered teachers who thought league and it’s professionalism was just not ‘Rugby’. I tried to teach them to play more like league and run lines and use the league way of thinking as opposed to the crash and tumble they’d played for a hundred years. The bigotry towards league was extremely surprising to me a young lad. But as time has wore on you can see the changes Union has made becoming a great users of League coaches and plays in the game itself. So back to my point. Is the Telegraph a paper that is blinkered like the old fashioned teachers who disappeared into the woodwork at School who just would change no matter what was needing to change in the outside world? The appetite for Rugby League is huge and to take on the likes of Soccer killing everything and Union just not appealing enough to the youngsters league must be allowed in the column inches and see it thrive (look at Australia with the NRL). In this year of the RL World Cup we need as much coverage in the diverse ranges of sports we have in our great country to ensure we don’t lose the children to video games or soccer. Thanks for listening. I’ll hold off the cancel button for now. Anthony Baldwin. Wigan..Version: 5.1.4

Dreadful AppTrying to organise subscription and logging on to this app has to be the worst I have ever come across!! Originally my free trial was based on incorrect currency and when tried to change it was informed that I had to use a different login. So duly corrected that and still would not allow me to logon although happy to take my money! Not impressed.Version: 5.2.6

TelegraphImproving from a fairly low base. Still slow to download although better than was. Irritating that the reader cannot forward selected articles which might be of interest to associates. Does not compare well in this regard to either the Financial Times or The Economist. The content is good and the indexing of subject matter also convenient..Version: 2.5.3

Daily Telegraph App Useful but has downsidesIt is great being able to read the full content of the Daily Telegraph wherever you are. I've been doing so for over a year and (though a subscriber to paper and print) rarely read the print version. The app can be frustrating: you often have to launch it 2 to 3 times because it crashes. Once it is stable you have to wait while it finds today's edition and then you have to click READ - why does today's edition not just load? Why can't I just fire up the app, walk away and come back to find my newspaper? I terms of general use you click on sections on the left and get headlines. It feels like selecting teletext/web links. It works but the Wall Street Journal app is much better designed and feels much more like a real newspaper. I suggest that the Telegraph moves over to that style as soon as they can..Version: 5.2.8

Trial Subscription Impossible to Unsubscribe ToIf one navigates to one’s account one expects to see the option to unsubscribe. There isn’t one. It merely says to go to their website or the App Store. But neither shows any information for cancelling one’s subscription. And the cheekily, redirects back to their app, where this all began. One can deduce, that the Telegraph makes it difficult because in doing so they want to squeeze a full years subscription out of one, who had not committed to doing so ! There, I’ve just said it. No stars Telegraph !!!!.Version: 5.1.6

IPad Pro plus Apple keyboard Users BewareThe iPad Pro is designed to work with an attached Apple keyboard that also acts as a stand. This only works in landscape mode. Sadly in this mode this app has a very annoying bug. From time to time it becomes very difficult or impossible to scroll down through an article - particularly one with a photograph at the top. Instead it translates the gesture into horizontal scrolling. When scrolling back to the article being read it starts again at the top - necessitating more vertical scrolling and more unintended horizontal scrolling. The frustration mounts quickly. I asked for support and received reassurance they were listening, however the app still behaves in this way for me. Reloading the app made no difference. App seems to be OK for me in portrait orientation - scrolling is normal then. But detaching the keyboard just to use the app is annoying - particularly as some other solution is required for a stand..Version: 3.3.10

Unable to save articlesI have complained several times over the past couple of months that not only can I no longer access my saved articles, nor am I able to save any articles. After several attempts to help me solve the problem the tech department finally admitted that I was not the only one having this problem, and that they are working on solving it. However, we would not be informed when this problem has been solved, we will just have to keep trying to save articles and hopefully one day one day it will work. For over £100 pa this isn't good enough. I also have a subscription to The Times and when there is a problem with that app they issue an update to subscribers- problem solved. Why can't the the Telegraph do the same?? Very poor customer service indeed, and very poor technical support. It's just not a very good app.Version: 5.1.8

Daily edition not available anymoreI’ve always been pleased with my subscription until recent changes made the current daily edition available. Sometimes it’s 2 days later. This only happened after they made changes to the digital editions. If this is an app issue I don’t know - but probably will be cancelling..Version: 4.0.3

TelegraphLiving a long way away from the UK this app keeps me up to date and is a really good read, clear and easy to use. However it crashes constantly and there are days when i simply cannot access it at all. The Telegraph banner comes up and then it simply drops out. Given that I pay for this by the month it is pretty annoying, as once you miss the newspaper for that day you are hardly going to go back days later when access is restored. When it was free it was actually more reliable. If it weren't such a good read I would have cancelled the subscription..Version: 2.2.1

Annoying deceptionBe careful: the app is free to download but to actually read an edition you have to make a purchase or buy a subscription. The Telegraph may well be worth paying for, but calling the app free is a bit sneaky..Version: 2.0

Surprisingly limited content compared to the paperIt is not live news even when online - seems a bit silly to be reading "oldish" news when there have been obvious developments in the story since going to print. AND a huge gripe is that the puzzles are not all printed, it's great to have the crosswords but what about all the other puzzles the bridge etc etc? It's soooooo limited and sooooo disappointing. Only advantage I can see is that it can be read offline once downloaded, not much really.Version: 2.5.1

DishonestPretty much the most expensive daily around. Save that cash. Until paper owner finds reality on price avoid..Version: 3.3.7

Not the print edition - tortoise startupGood app but only provides what looks like an abbreviated edition of the Telegraph. Good to read when short on time. App itself is sluggish at start up, freezing (stalling) often. Has failed twice in 3 days to find and list the latest edition. Had to remove and reinstall app to get the current edition. Extras like the Jubilee magazine on Sunday are not available..Version: 2.3.2

Upset and disappointed of Cashmere NZI've really enjoyed the Telegraph over the past 10 months on my IPad. Stunned to update the "great new app" to find it's all a pay app now. I'm won't be paying UK prices to read The Telegraph on my IPad in Christchurch I'm sorry! By till it's reasonable. Kerry.Version: 2.0

Needs improvementIrritating app. Takes too long to download new editions and forgets login details No mechanism to delete individual downloads or restrict downloads to current edition. Design and content is good but because of its deficiencies find myself using the web version of the newspaper..Version: 2.5.3

Please add search function to appCould you please include a search function on the app? Would be useful to help me find articles. Thanks!!.Version: 5.0.6

Why 1 starNothing to do with the quality of reporting - just the performance of the web page and site.Version: 5.0.4

Poor reportingThe app isn’t the problem. Your reporting on idiotic news is. Are there any investigative journalists that can read us interesting worthwhile news. All headlines are about the sad Prince and all. Where are serious news? Where are book reviews, classical music reviews ? I know Telegraph is not LRB or Times but you can surely do better. I am going to proceed and cancel my subscription..Version: 5.2.5

Somewhat difficult to navigateOK, but not as easy to use as it should be..Version: 5.2.6

Not impressedI decided to trial this app with a month subscription. Once the subscription had expired I no longer had access to the issues within the subscription period.... It was useful to be able to read the Telegraph whilst offline e.g. on the bus, but overall it wasn't worth it- limited content, I'll stick to reading it for free on the internet Conclusion- trial is over and I won't be throwing any more money away on this app..Version: 2.1.1

Correct the Edition DateFor weeks now I have been expecting the Edition Date and day to be corrected from being that of the day before. I complained about this when you dumped the original App. There was nothing wrong, in my opinion, with the original and in many ways it was better than what replaced it. I can only speak as a consumer of course. So feel free to ignore this commentary as relevant but typical of IT attitudes to non IT plebs. I have no wish to pursue matter this further. J D Ferguson.Version: 4.0.3

It’s fine, when it works...I thought I would try this out using the free 30-day subscription. I like the content, the format and the overall translation from a printed page to a screen. However, there are problems. I’m amazed that annoying self-advertising ads appear in the middle of the articles. They are even more annoying because of the use of basic animation which drags your eye away from what you are reading. Why do we need these? If you’re paying to read this surely you should be able to turn these off as they distract from the primary purpose of the app. Then of course, there is the performance. I have an iPad Pro, and this app will start to slow down and become sluggish whilst using it, usually as a prelude to a crash. Ironically, you can see the crash coming as the annoying ads slow down themselves! Quite often the app will simply crash with no warning at all, so clearly something isn’t right. Overall I would consider paying to use this. Not at the moment, though. The countdown to the end of my free subscription has begun....Version: 3.3.4

New formatI do not like the new format at all. It is far more difficult to navigate than the predecessor format. The sudoku puzzles are very difficult to complete on an iPad. Sufficiently unhappy that I will be looking to end my subscription..Version: 5.0.6

Shocked & appalledThis new version is terrible. There are always glitches when you update, but this is the worst yet. And you've inflicted it on us during a lock down when people are reliant on the online version. Do none of your millennial tech team read their own paper? Know about the pandemic? I am constantly having to help an elderly relative that is self isolating to get it to work. At a time when they cannot get their subscribed paper version. And I can't go around and help. It takes forever to download. And the puzzles section just never does. You were warning of an update for weeks - warning being the best word. Why would you do now, this despite everything. Did it never occur to you to delay until a better time. That people would be be relying on this app to help lessen their feelings of isolation and enable them continue life as normally as possible. And you have the cheek to prevent a no-star rating - which is what you deserve..Version: 4.0.3

App UpdateNot happy with new update. Previous edition was easy to use, and flowed well, this new style is not so user friendly from my perspective. It takes longer to download and then spends time downloading again the selection I want..Version: 4.0.0

Buggiest App on my iPadThis has to be the worst attempt to create a newspaper app that I have seen. It is certainly the least stable app on my iPad. It just presented me with the "please rate me" pop-up and promptly froze and died, prompting me to write this review. Even in its rare periods of stability is poorly designed, and is not even able to remember where you were after it has been in the background for a few minutes. Terrible work, please improve it..Version: 2.5.3

Right Wing AgendaHad I known what a right wing led paper this was I would never had subscribed. I’m from Australia, obviously should’ve done more research. I am shocked and dismayed by the hate and vitriol of so many journalists. The click bait headlines. I was hoping to have a different view on international news but It feels like reading Fox News..Version: 5.3.1.52

Truly painful - requires unusual commitment!6 months ago the site had eventually become quite stable. Then the problems started again. It still loads much more slowly than other major newspapers and it requires a stronger wifi connection. Maybe once in five it won't load at all. Maybe once every two weeks I have to unload and reload the app. Recently (for a whole month while I was traveling) it required that I subscribe. When I tried to re-subscribe it told me that I had already subscribed. Etc.. Otherwise, the content is OK but somehow seems a bit 'dumbed down'. I have persevered with this Telegraph ipad version, and suffered its consistent abuse, for over a year but I fear that my patience is almost exhausted..Version: 2.3.2

Good App but my goodness the PoliticsI was impressed with the App and the content, particularly the Sport and Travel. It’s expensive, I know it’s less than £1 a day but suddenly having all this content available almost pressurises you to read it to try and justify the cost. I only ever bought the paper edition once or twice a week and it was plenty to read in my busy life. Now the but that puts me off. Aside from the cost, I didn’t like the insane politics and columnists. The xenophobia and blatant racism were sickening. I realised some of my subscription money was finding these people. I see enough of their bile on Twitter that I don’t need to see again in a paid for platform. And the Royals, on and on and on about them. It’s like Jo Wood telling us that “I’m over Ronnie”. No you’re not because you keep banging on about him. No one cares!!! Summary. Great App, real content is very good, but Politics is toxic..Version: 5.2.8

Beware free trial subscriptionI made the mistake of taking up the free 1 month digital subscription offer when browsing an article. I say mistake because it is not clear how to then manage the subscription or cancel it if required. I wanted to cancel my trial after reading my first edition as it wasn’t for me and the instructions lead you to believe you can cancel the subscription from the settings in your iPad. The free trial does not show up as a subscription (I kept checking throughout the month) then auto-renews and charges your payment method without ever giving you the ability to cancel. There is no email sent to advise your free trial is coming to an end and when you go on the app or website there is no information on how to cancel - just a load of online contact forms. I tried phoning but following the options for a digital subscription just forces you back on to the website - they simply will not speak to you by phone which is unacceptable - you are stuck in a digital catch 22. I finally found a way to manage my account and cancel through their website but only after realising that the method they tell you to use via Apple subscriptions was never going to materialise. It still didn’t show up after they had notified me they were taking payment. I have no idea if I have managed to cancel in time or am going to be sneakily charged for a minimum 6 month subscription which is buried in their small print. Incredibly frustrating and misleading offer..Version: 4.0.9

Don't get suckeredThe previous version was fine. This new version only works if you buy a subscription. I really regret updating, this is now awful, and I have had to delete it. How do I get the previous version back?.Version: 2.0

New digital edition not tested - as usualYet again a new version of this app has been launched without being tested. When on the puzzle pages the app gobbles up the ipad battery power like no tomorrow. How they have managed this is beyond me. It is making the cpu race. The ipad gets really hot. Then when you go to settings to report the issue, none of the ways to report issues work. If you do manage to finish the crossword in the ten minutes it takes for the app to drain your ipad battery, you cannot submit it. Submitting often now seems to have disappeared as well. That has not worked for some months in the previous version. Please employ some competent developers and testers. After all this time, it is now end August 2020, all these issues still persist. The ipad gets baking hot, the battery drains in minutes and you still cannot report an issue or leave feedback. Update: Now 9th December 2020, app deleted and reinstalled. All the above issues still there and now the crossword pages are completely messed up. Is there anyone out there?.Version: 4.0.8

$2.59 an issue?!From free content that took ages to download, to an extortionate rate per issue. My advice - add the Telegraph feed to Flipboard and get the same news for free..Version: 2.0

Ok, BUT.....too many irritations.PLUS-It’s useful to be able to download the “newspaper “version so that you can read it later offline. MINUS-If you’re in the middle of a story or the comments and have to leave it till later to read the rest, this app loses your place and you end up back on the homepage. When you read the Telegraph online,in my case using Safari,it takes you back to exactly where you left off last time. Much more convenient! MINUS-No little “bubble “ symbol at the start of an article to indicate you can make comments. The symbol is at the start of the online/Safari version. It’s useful to have it at the beginning so that you can compose your comments from the start of reading the article. MINUS-When you add a comment to someone else’s comment,it’s not clear which comment you’re replying to as there is no @ to make it clear. MINUS-For me,at least, the text size is too small and can’t be enlarged except in the downloaded newspaper. A bit too small for my 76 year old eyes! So,to sum up,nowhere near as good as reading it online. The only plus is being able to download the newspaper equivalent to read offline. I’m sticking with my Safari version,thanks-unless all the MINUS points above are addressed..Version: 5.1.4

Was an excellent app, but now demands an unreasonable subscription reeNewspapers used to have their paper and printing costs payed by subscribers, and earn their profit from advertisements. Now that the paper and printing costs are zero, all news should be entirely paid by ads. Demanding a fee is ridiculous. There are plenty of free news sources on the net. The dinosaurs at the Telegraph are going to go extinct..Version: 2.0

Frustrated subscriberGreat newspaper; terrible app. Please hire some geeks and FIX this app. asap..Version: 2.5.1

Needs search functionThe app/site needs a search function..Version: 5.2.0

Not working after latest versionThere appears to be a bug in the latest version which does not seem to be able to authenticate against valid iTunes Telegraph subscriptions, rendering the app inoperable. (Subscriptions to other apps / news services are fine). In my instance Apple have confirmed a valid subscription and an issue with the Telegraph app. The support from the tech team at the Telegraph suggest it is Apple’s issue. The justification for this conclusion is that apparently no one else has reported this issue. The only support offered from the Telegraph team is to delete and reinstall the app, which makes no difference. There appears to be no tech diagnostics capability at the Telegraph end (to see if an attempt to authenticate is made - nor does there appear to be any desire to follow this through); the end result is that I have to cancel my subscription. Very disappointing outcome....Version: 4.0.7

Let me inI’m a Telegraph subscriber and I like the content but it has one very annoying fault - trying to access back dated stories. You see online there’s a story by the Telegraph and think ‘id like to read that, and I’m a subscriber, perfect’. But no… When u you on click on said story it asks if youd like to subscribe, and even though it acknowledges I’m logged in, it doesn’t allow access? Ok so I can go to the app and search by subject? Ha! Thwarted again bc there is no search line 🔎. You literally cannot read the story..Version: 5.1.6

New Codeword App is TERRIBLEMain probLem - lack of way to see which letters are available other to search through the table that is arranged numerical, not alphabetical (the old version had a separate tablet at the bottom arranged alphabetically ) The numbers on the puzzle are too large and the letters are too small Return to the previous puzzle!!.Version: 4.0.9

Update helped with subscription but ......there are still many bugs that make using this app a bit annoying. - even with Internet connection on, the app constantly alerts the user that the connection is off, even while visually downloading a new issue. So, these alerts are wrong and misleading. - Opening the app will land you on the first issue of the day on which you installed the app, which means that you have to swipe to the right on and on and on and on ... until you reach the current issue. Each time you have to wait until the front page of an issue has downloaded before you can swipe on to the next and so on and so forth. This means, if you installed the app, say, 4 weeks ago, you will have to spend several minutes just swiping before you get to the current issue of the day..Version: 2.0.1

When things go wrong you can not get any one to helpThe telegraph continues to take my monthly apple pay. I can not cancel it, the app refuses me access, and when i try to do the forgotten email or password nothing happens except a message saying try the website. Which dose not help! Leaving me paying but getting no access. No number to speak to anyone and no reply to email . 😢😡.Version: 5.1.8

Sign in?I’ve paid for a one year subscription. Why do I have to sign in anew every other day?.Version: 5.0.6

Impossible to cancel subscriptionI joined a subscription online from Australia. There is no way on line, in the app, in the App Store, in my iCloud subscriptions to cancel it. The phone number you provide will not connect from Australia. You do not reply to Facebook messages, there are no other contact details..Version: 5.1.8

Absolutely TerribleI have had and paid for a subscription on this app for years. Since the last update it has been virtually unusable. It shows a contempt for its readers that I do not understand. The stuttering appears to be a result of advertising. How can this be necessary in the electronic version which has minimal distribution cost when the paper version is free of such advertising? I have cancelled my subscription and I doubt anything could change my mind. What are you people playing at? If you continue down this road the paper will fold. Why not reduce advertising, increase quality and reward those who take up the minimal cost version with a decent rag. Trying to jump on the advertising bandwagon will kill it. Reduce distribution overheads, pay writers more and go to the highest denominator that your readership share. That is excellent reporting, at a cost. Failing which you join the general melee which so far you have against all odds avoided..Version: 3.3.6

Print versionWhy don’t you have a version that is a replica of the print version like some other newspapers do ?.Version: 3.3.11

Bring back the free version!Beware! While the new features are great, if you install the update, you lose your ability to use the old free version. No more download the headlines and go! Bring back the old version!.Version: 2.0

Do the adverts irate you?The latest version introduced full screen video advertisements that appear unprompted when reading an article. These seem to be linked to a static advert further down the page. Turn on Flight Mode (or disable WiFi) to avoid adverts whilst reading articles in the Telegraph app. Adverts seem to be dynamic content that is read from the internet immediately before it is displayed. This makes the app slow to respond when you have poor network access. It consumes your mobile data bandwidth. And it interferes with your use of the app to read and absorb the news content you have paid for. I have written to The Telegraph about this. The appear to be trialling the behaviour and monitoring feedback. I will be using Flight Mode from now on..Version: 3.3.7

Always crashingPLEASE fix this app. I love the telegraph but will cancel my subscription if it keeps crashing..Version: 2.5.3

Going Backwards!Telegraph replaced and removed the excellent previous app with the “Latest” section in this app. This is a massive backward step and follows today’s fashion of trying to be distinctive and original by doing exactly the same as everyone else is doing. Previously there were regular intra-day updates in a sensible set of sections, say, the Opinion section and which were ordered chronologically. Easy to see, select, find. Excellent, distinctive, simple. So naturally they’ve stopped that. Now we have a complete mishmash of articles of any random date and infinite categories and sub categories so you will waste much time just trying to find something new or recent or you haven’t already read, days or weeks ago. And it doesn’t get updated with new material as frequently - or I simply can’t find it. If it stays like this I’ll cancel my subscription. Which is a shame because the ‘newspaper’ section is still good..Version: 5.1.3

Unreliable. Unimpressive. Update 2: Please please fix the crosswordI find the new version of the Daily Telegraph app much less reliable than the previous version. It keeps closing unexpectedly, does not automatically download and the crossword puzzle suddenly crashes and will not load. Previously downloaded issues of the newspaper suddenly disappear from the library and have to be re-downloaded, which takes ages. Very disappointing. When it does work, the features of the new app are no better than the old version. A big publication like the Daily Telegraph should debug their app before launch, rather than expect subscribers to help do it for them. Update: Since writing the above a couple of weeks ago, I have lost count of the number of times that I have had to load and re-load editions of the newspaper, which keep disappearing from the archive (they have all just disappeared again!). The crossword puzzle rarely works and almost always crashes while I am doing it, displaying a message saying something about error loading.... The only good news is that my subscription is about to end, though I do feel sorry for all the excellent journalists who’s work is let down by this flaky app. Update 2: 2 April 2020. My favourite part of the newspaper, the quick crossword, still keeps crashing to the point where it is unusable. Other than that most of the other bugs seem to have been fixed at last..Version: 4.0.3

Telegraph appI like your old format style it was easier to access and I could some articles without a subscription now I can’t take a view of any article written by your editors I will probably will delete this app from device.Version: 5.1.7

A day lateI subscribe from Canada and will not see today’s Daily Telegraph paper until tomorrow. Each day I compare content between your website and iPhone, iPad apps confirming this. How can you accept subscriptions then consistently deliver a day late.? This isn’t rocket science, it wasn’t broke before! Publish your paper once to all outlets, for the entire planet, this is ridiculous. Have emailed for over a month now, zero progress. Great contest sadly unprofessional management..Version: 4.0.3

Telegraph for IPadGood layout, easy to read format, needs a latest news section.Version: 2.5.1
