✓ Good but...The app has around a dozen of effects but unfortunately all the effects are very similar to each other - so in a sense the app in fact has one effect. The difference in the effects is insignificant. But worst of all, some effects don't even make your photo better - theyre so dark that your whole photo becomes black and you dont see anything. If youre prepared to pay £0.69 just for one effect then go ahead, you will like it. But there is no variety of effects and you cant mess around with your photo at all to make it better..Version: 3.2

✓ Stylish and fun with a few niggles.Seen this app posted on app advice and went for an impulse buy. I the app does what it says quite well photos are not very high Rez but they are as detailed as the image you are capturing. First photo I tried to save it gave me an error in processing. But I have not had this since. The video does have lag not sure how much maybe half a second but is much less in black and White mode. I hope that updates will bring video recording as well as being able too focus on certain points of the screen. Saving photos also takes a few seconds. Overcame this by pressing power and menu button to take phone screen shot. Which actually gave me better results when looking at on pc. ✓ A little too simplifiedYou control the type of filter you apply by tapping through a selection of various pen and paintbrush icons, but they don’t describe what you’ll get. You just have to try them all through trial and error. Within the filter, you can change the degree of filtering by tapping a “line” icon. It cycles through a range of changes but gives you no indication of when you have looped back to the beginning of the selection. You just keep tapping until you recognize a pattern or find a look you like. A slider bar or some kind of progress marker would be nice. ✓ Real Cartoon FeelingI have tried about 8 cartoon apps - this is by far the one with the most cartoon-like outcome. One has to play around with the different "paint brushes" and "pencils". Some pictures look more authentic in pencil strokes, others paintbrushed. Each brush has three settings, which really makes a difference. I like the fact that you can take pictures and videos in cartoon mode, as well as load photos from the library. If you took a cartoon photo directly, you can still swap brushes for different effects. Some of the black pencil conversions look like real drawings. Combined with a comic maker app like Halftone these cartoons look really professional. ✓ Toon Camera is awesome!With the new comic filter on iOS 12, some of my friends don’t have comic filter because their phones and iPads don’t support it. I’ve been using Toon Camera for a long time and it is great. It has lots of ways to adjust the filters, and there are a lot of them. It’s just as good as the comic filter that is built into iMessage on iOS 12- so I recommend it to anyone who can’t get those filters. This is a solid app. It allows you to save the photos in high or regular resolution to your camera roll. Highly recommend Toon Camera! You can even make videos using it with the filters, and you can use photos that you’ve already taken and make adjustments in the app! How cool is that? Very cool!.Version: 4.6.1

✓ So Much FUN!I Love this app! Took a few minutes to figure out how to apply it to photos in my album, so new users, plz expect a little learning curve. I read that the IT staff r very helpful, but some trial and error practice resulted in the creation of a very cool rendition using a photo from my own album (w/o their assistance)! Hints...Make ample use of the info icon in the upper right corner and when in doubt “double click”! I anticipate playing with this new app for awhile today.
