✓ Tons of character, so addictive!Not often am I compelled to write a review here, but I'm loving this game! Infinitely replayable, tons to do, loads of combinations of characters, loads of upgrades...I've been playing this for about 8 hours in one team configuration, so I decided to swap out some key members...totally different game style, totally different game. There are some people saying it's overly simplistic and repetitive, but you could argue that about World Of Warcraft, it still has got that special something to keep bringing 12m gamers back time and again. ✓ BEST MOBILE GAMEThis role playing game is STUNNNING for how old it is. I grew up playing this and I had to re run this again. I played this game about 10 years ago or longer but I can still recall my first gameplay and had to give it another go. Beautiful and competitive for what it is. My favorite character is the monk I like how he looks. Tank/DPS. If you like a challenge try this out. ✓ Great gameplay! Needs iCloud sync!Well designed interface and great art style. Gameplay is fun but is spoilt by one problem. It is impossible to select the correct character when they are standing close together in a battle. Hope you can fix this!:) And please update this to support iCloud sync!!! ✓ Simply amazingThe title says it, the gameplay is incredible and all the characters are fun to play and the items are varied, the only thing is sometimes I can't select the character I want in combat because they are so close together, some way to select characters, use their abilities and see their health without having to tap then would make this 8/5.Version: 1.5.2
✓ So addictiveI can't stop playing it. To be honest, I'm a big fan of XP points, upgrades, weapons, gold and all that RPG stuff (Infinity Blade being another that has sucked away my time) but this does everything in such a beautifully cartoony way it's impossible not to love. Bad points, well, minor quibbles really, would be that when deciding what to buy from the Merchant, you have to keep going back to Armoury to check things, then back to the Merchant and so on. Also, when playing the game itself it can be difficult to select a character if they're all in the same place. Plus, when the magic icons are up the top left, above your characters, that can get a bit difficult when trying to select things as well. But these are minor things really - I love it. (Oh, and 'receive' is spelt wrong somewhere as well - yes, I'm being picky)..Version: 1.0.4

✓ Beautiful first installmentThis game has an amazing soundtrack with really quirky and funny animations. The game allows you to play with multiple different partied play styles and manages to be great fun all of these years later. Most of the characters within this game are similar, (Robin—Gustav; Bromswell—Thistle; Garrick—Braelosh) but they add a neat customization gimmick that is charming to the art style. The game can be difficult to maneuver character’s and their abilities around at intense moments on the battlefield, but it’s simple and a beautiful game. ✓ The bestFavourite game on the iPhone. Played it to death, 30+ hours. Levelling up all the characters, getting the epic gear. Graphics are cute and awesome, controls are perfect. ✓ Awesome and fun!Awesome gameplay and game style. The only thing I would like to see implemented is a hot bar with each of the characters on it, so that selection would be easier. The only problem I ever have is the characters get on top of each other and I can't select the right one to heal and they inevitably die. ✓ Better on iPhone IMHOAgreed, this is a great, fun game with good depth. For me, the resolution is better on the iPhone. The sprites are just too big on the iPad. They are vector based graphics as far as I can tell, so there is no pixelation but, scaled this way doesn't look quite right. I realise, for the game to work, you can't increase the size of the arena. However, maybe there could have been a border around the gameplay area with additional stats or character information. ✓ Sweet AppThe graphics/game seem simple and cartoony the gameplay itself is quite addictive and requires micromanagement of skill cooldowns and character positioning at times. One gripe is that it can be hard to click on specific characters that are bunched too tightly together with another, this makes it hard to select characters and making usage of vital cooldowns during frantic battles. The game offers a variety of different classes/equipment along with a nice skill tree. Although the arena maps can offer a nice challenge before/after finishing the game, more maps would be nice. ✓ Gr8 GameI'm loving this little game. It's like a mini MMo group. I've got my knight tanking, my witch causing all manner of DPS, and I have a Bard & priest healing. Just got a new skill for my priest where he can step up from being a healer and AoE for 15 secs for variety. The game starts out simple, but as you level up and the game gets harder you find yourself elaborating builds and strategies to take down tougher foes. ✓ Great, original gameI don’t know what genre this type of game to go by other than RPG, but I will tell you that it was the older and better version of Heroes vs Monsters. That game hit the big charts only because it was free, and it was a complete steal from this game. Now their game is left broken because of course their company is just money hungry copy-cats. Anyway, this game is awesome and totally worth all three bucks, especially if you come from heroes vs monsters, this is by far the original and better game to play, you won’t pay anything more than three dollars for the full experience. ✓ Battle hartBattle hart is a fun single player expiriense witch I have hade for a long time it has lots of unique items and watch level can be played in a number of different ways the character levelling tree is very well done with a variety of abilities and spells. The game would benefit from a multiplayer experience and a wider variety of weapons as if you have 2 party member of the same class they both end up with the same weapons and armer but they are the only floors in this game. ✓ Little Tweaks To PerfectionHoly milkshakes Batman, this game is awesome and with a few additions would pretty much be the perfect pocket rpg. It brings the depth of a good rpg game along with great battle dynamics. The controls are pick up play and the graphics are good too. There are creative and challenging boss fights and the arenas are a great place to earn some extra items. The pace is quick and your always busy doing something. All in all, a solid game on any OS really. Now for a bit of a winge, simple things like showing the character level on the avatar would be good. Displaying the party's avatar during battles would make easier selection and a double tap system for characters on the same spot would avoid alot of frustration. Also, to be able to draw a paths to follow would allow for greater strategies. Although, still a fantastic game. Definately worth getting. =3.Version: 1.0.4

✓ Pure awesomeA game that is worth the $3.99, I'm a massive fan of Role playing games and this is easily the best one, actually the best app i own and that says a lot (I own 200+). I love the whole raiding system where you control four characters of your choice, you don't have to go with the default 1 tank, 1 healer and 2dps. You can mix it up, have 2healers and 2tanks, all DPS, ect. Whatever works for you, you're ability to go back to old levels and level up other characters is also fun, you can grind for money and gear if you WANT to, the game does not require you to grind to play. (I like to grind to upgrade ALL of my classes and there are aprox 8-12 classes I believe) Not only do you control, gear up and level four characters they also have skill trees, they are not advanced at all but it does add a new element to the game. Whether you want your healer to do weak AOE heals or strong single target heals, depending on what role it is (Healer or sub-healer). It's all up to you. However just some suggestions what I would love to see in the up coming versions. - Multiplayer (Wifi, Bluetooth) - More recruits (Classes) - More levels and areas - More gear Just more more more :D I would even be willing to pay for updates this game its that great. ✓ Simplistic MORE than just an RPGThe thing i love most about this game beyond its AMAZING simplicity. Is the gameplay. I was thinking about it earlier today, and how when you play RPGs, like Final Fantasy on PS3, it's unfeasible to be physically moving characters around the screen. In fact playing feels like your controlling four characters in an MMORPG, since they're moving and then doing attacks and spells, etc. Definately get this game, it's cheap, a load of fun. ✓ Not "normally" my thing, but 4 hours later...I am not into this genre at all, as I find the whole grinding, levelling and stats too much for a relaxing game. Only 4 exceptions since I started gaming have held my attention and this is one of them. So that is the sentence to make the "not into this"..stop and take a second look. It is cute, clean animation and you are basically taking a small selection of differently skilled characters into battle each "turn". Basic gameplay is You power them up with the rewards from previous rounds. You enhance their skills by choosing ability paths as they reach certain levels. You add items to increase abilities or ward off attacks, increase armour and so on. You click at attack various monsters, baddies and ogres, as you work through a land, with maybe 15 battles per land. It gets frantic! It is a quick round game. You can pick up for 5 mins or 2 hours. Animation is basic but clean enough. Developer Improvements: When characters are overlapping, it is hard to select them in the heat of battle. Maybe an icon to represent each on the top of the screen and select them? Icons can be ¼ of the size of the power selection tools, so should not take up much a space..Version: 1.0.3

✓ Just amazingSo Battleheart 2 is coming out, huh? And by that I mean a true sequel. Anyway, onto the review. I got battleheart a very long time ago, and I enjoyed it beyond a sense of joy. Years later, I reinstalled it and relived the memories. The game has many pros: 1) Great, classic art-style 2) Unique and interesting characters with back stories 3) Cool and unused enemy niches 4) Awesome level tree with powerful and extravagant abilities 5) Great bosses, each more diverse than the last 6) Good background and character designs 7) Special weapons, some you may have never knew existed (Lucy King drops) 8) Simple and easy to use fighting mechanics. 9) And many more unlisted ones. And little cons: -Minor bugs -Infrequent but still there crashes -Grindy -No multiplayer (which is popular nowadays) -Other mini problems (No auto-fight, fighting can be hard to manage at times, etc.) Overall, the game has amazing unique shticks that nobody else has and while it does have bugs, who doesn't? ✓ Great GameI have played throught his game 3 times now, and each time I have loved it. The animation is great, and the characters are fun to play. I especially love the fact that once you make it through the game with one party, you can choose four new heroes and go from start to finish again, and there are three profiles that you can create. The only issue I have with the game is that the items are fairly varied, but once you have gotten to the final stages of the game the Merchant sells rather similar stock. I think that Battleheart is a fantastic game as it is, and you don't really need to add anything more to it. What I would love would be a sequel, although not one that changes the whole dynamic of the game. I think that BH2 should be similar (but not the same as) the first one, simply for the reason that the first one was so enjoyable. Plus I really enjoy trying out new characters and seeing what they can do. This is my favorite game on the Apple devices yet..Version: 1.5.2

Every job has their own set of skills which are unique and it allows you to form strategies during the game. Because of the many jobs, you can also customise your team for example 1 knight to tank all the mobs, a healer and 2 mages or 2 rogues whatever. Weapons and armour can be upgraded or bought in the shop. Trinkets can be attained after a battle or bought in the shop and the trinkets have different effects which also contribute to your gameplay strategy. The only thing I would love to see as an improvement is character icons on the top right corner of the screen so that you can switch chars' easily. Sometimes in battles you have your own chars and mobs on top of each other and you die because you cannot select the character with the skill you want to use. ✓ Better than most other gamesNice controls, intuitive, and nice replay value. Chibi-type graphics look nice as well. This game is all about micro. However, as many others have said, the it is difficult to control characters when they are stacked next to each other. Even so, it just teaches me not to have my characters too close together XD. ✓ Changed mind2012 Christmas Day I received my ipad. I got Battleheart and it was my favourite app however, My opinion has changed since. At that time I hadn't seen to many apps so I choose Battleheart as my favourite and even written down its own review.. I said it was my favourite game but it needed a update. Sound: 8/10 Ahhh I love the good old sounds Music: 6/10 It gets slightly repetitive sometimes Graphics: 10/10 The one thing I don't think Battleheart legacy shouldn't change... Gameplay: 8/10 Great! Story: 3/10 there is no story Characters: 6/10 Medium amount, Good enough Skill: 6/10 there is not too much skill required Boss fights: 8/10 Great bosses! ✓ Fun, but gameplay problemsThis game is fun, simple and well made but there are gameplay design problems that can cause frustration. The opening menu screen could be a little bit more intuitive, with less options and in a better order. This is a minor niggle, but I always select the wrong menu option. The most important thing is not being able to select a character when they are stacked next to each other. This really affects your ability to play properly. It would have been a simple thing to include the icons of your on-screen characters so that they can be selectable that way, and you won't suffer not being able to select the character you want. I'm not sure why this wasn't done in the first place. Otherwise, a perfectly fine game and fun to play on the train to work and back home. ✓ AlrightWell it has nice little animations and it is all very well presented and planned out. Fighting is quite intense and the levelling and loot system works well. However there are too many bugs. For one, I'd try to move a character and they will either move him somewhere else from where I pointed or not move at all. Then when I want to get a party member to do something (eg, attack) he may wall right past the target. Finally when I want to use a power I will, then I will wait til it charges, then try to use it again and it doesn't pick up my touch. These can be immersion breaking and I'm surprised I didn't give it a 3 star. But it's worth the money at £1.75 and it is worth a look at at least..Version: 1.0.5
