✓ One of the best tools for focused workFeedly isn’t perfect, and there is a small learning curve to how RSS works. That said, this is an incredibly powerful tool that has transformed my workflow. I love that Feedly Pro (the paid version) allows me to subscribe to email newsletters directly from Feedly (via customized emails) and to scrape websites that don’t have RSS or email newsletters. This lets me centralize virtually every source of news I might want to keep track of, and then to bucket those sources by context. So unlike email where both important and unimportant, long form and short form, etc. are all dumped into one common inbox, I can easily organize Feedly so that I am only seeing what’s relevant to what I’m doing right now, without being afraid of missing anything. Great app, great customer service, happy to pay to see this app continue to be supported (especially the iPadOS version that right now is a little buggy when it comes to resizing split screen windows! *hint*hint*)..ChristiansayVersion: 84.0.3

✓ An excellent Google Reader alternativeA good, intuitive reader that feels like it was designed to make browsing through feeds enjoyable. It was easy to change over from Google Reader. I now much prefer it over Google's look and feel and am happy with the switch. Adding and removing subscriptions is simple. It is easy to keep your feeds organised and to keep up to date with your reading. I especially like the magazine-style layout option that groups stories by you categories. ✗ Please no happy “you’re done!” cartoonsBecause when I’ve just read a comic or a fun article about skin care or whatever, that would be fine, but when I’ve just read a dark, depressing news item about people dying or the economy tanking, it is SUPER jarring and weird to see a happy smiling ‘toon congratulating me for reading all the things. And it’s more often that second situation that the first, so...please. I wrote a similar review a few years back when y’all decided a chipper cartoon dinosaur was what people needed after they finished reading the news. I discovered that one for the first time literally after reading about a hate crime, and it was awful. The dinosaur went away quickly and I can only assume it was because others felt much as I do. The only comics I need in my Feedly are the ones I subscribe to. Please no smiley congratulatory cartoon figures, anywhere. Or at least give us an way to opt out of that.
