✓ Really good once I found the help and made the exercises easierI'm a complete beginner with a very poor sense of rhythm.... but very proficient with software. I couldn't find my way around the interface without the help, and I couldn't find the help at first.... You have to tap the "i" at the bottom right and then look in a submenu. The exercises were all way too difficult for me. But the software allows you to modify the exercises, so fairly quickly I was up and running. At which point the feedback as you go along is really good. The scores at the end of each session seem a bit random, but good enough to give me a sense of progress, which I what I really needed. ✓ Old And NewIt’s now 2022 and much has changed. I now have a new device and I have not been using this app. In fact, I had forgotten all about it. That is, until I happened to come across it while I was looking at my Rhyme-zone app. I might just try it out again, since I have just learned that it has been updated all along. I’m actually very surprised about that, but happy to see it. Previous Review (a long time ago): Helpful and fun to use. The little, round, white circle at the bottom is where to go to find out how it works - look under Support for details. I was confused about note values and how to play them on the piano keyboard. This app helps a lot and is user friendly. There are lots of settings, exercises and progress reports. I am enjoying it and I'm glad I purchased it. I am using this app with the iPad 2. ✓ Could do with a few new features...Like the ability to tap 2 different rhythms at once... help co-ordinate polyrhythms A nicer layout for creating custom rhythms. Having a Sibelius type layout of choosing note lengths would be easier than the current system. Being able to fully create a custom rhythm with out having to modify the previous one. Would give teachers a lot of flexibility. This means giving you a blank Stave, choosing the time signature and then creating a custom rhythm..Piano man '84Version: 8.8.0

✓ I like it but.....the 'analogue' metronome is impossibly difficult to use. It's very frustrating when you're right in the middle of a great practice session and you accidentally swipe it and change the bpm. It then takes about ten minutes (no exaggeration) to get it back to the correct speed. A less sensitive metronome would make this app absolutely brilliant. Other than that I am very very pleased with it and am already seeing improvements in my timing accuracy after just one day of using it..Kerry lambertVersion: 2.4

✓ Woeful for beginnersJust downloaded this and the initial experience is very poor. I had to read the instructions to make sense of the interface (something I haven't needed to do on much more feature-rich apps), the first exercise presented was much too hard; it should be a simple 4/4 beat just to get used to the app. My daughter, who is the intended user, tried it for 1 minute then wandered off to play her flute.
