✓ Hint for not wasting paper; why you might want this appAs the description of this app makes plain, this is NOT a printing app, it is a compatibility testing app. To avoid wasting paper, only load a few sheets. Another hint for the 1-star reviewers that don't read descriptions: DON'T test it with your expensive photo paper! Why would you buy the full app? If you have a perfectly good but older printer that doesn't have AirPrint built in, this helps you leverage your existing printer. I have an older Samsung laser printer that doesn't have AirPrint but that I can still use from my iOS devices. Rather than shelling out a few hundred for a new laser, I can pay $7 to use my very good quality existing printer..Version: 5.2

✓ Printer Pro Lite and Printer ProWell thought out app. The "lite" app allows you to be SURE the "full" version will work in your setup with your printer. This way you don't pay for something you can't use. I really like this. I am new to iPad and very concerned that I wouldn't be able to print without purchasing another printer. I am not new to computers and networking, just to IOS. I am quite impressed with how this app works. I am printing to an Epson printer connected to my MacBook Pro 17" and had to install a helper program on it to be able to print. The lite app led me through the steps necessary to get the helper app - by opening an email message which all I had to do was type in my email address and send to myself. I picked up the email on my Mac, clicked on the link, their web page opened and the app automatically started downloading. While it was downloading (less than a minute) I read the instructions which were very clear and included screen shots. When it was installed the printer icon popped into my menu bar, as the instructions said it would. I selected my printer and just that fast I as able to print a test page included with the iPad app. I feel the price of the pro app is maybe a bit high, but it WORKS..Version: 3.1.1

If it doesn't connect, then move on to some other app, but if it does connect, then download the paid for full app. It is an excellent app and is making life a lot easier for me. ✓ BEST PRINTING APPFolks, I have a new HP color laser printer and wanted / needed a good, versatile remote printing app. I tried six or seven so called "wonderful " apps, and then I tried the "Printer Pro" app. It is without a doubt the BEST app going. It is not specifically made for any particular printer. Will work with IP address or Cloud printing, and the setup it so easy. One of the best features that none other has, is the ability to choose what size print you want, and it has many different sizes. Also wonderful tech support in case you need it. ✓ Printer Pro Works With Old Oki Color PrinterWhat a nice surprise. Using the Printer Pro Lite to test it out, my new iPad-3 worked great using my old color laser Oki printer on my WiFi system at home. Heck, I could not even find a working network Windows-7 driver for that old Oki color laser printer when I purchased my new computer system. The Printer Pro light app test page came out with fantastic bright and sharp colors. That impressed me enough that I went ahead and purchased the app. The regular app does a nice job using the Drop-Box cloud storage as well. This made my day! Nice app to have with the iPad-3 high resolution screen. It appears the color printouts with this Printer Pro app are as breath-taking as the visual quality displays on the iPad-3. ✓ Literally only for testing compatibility.I think the reviews from a year ago don’t reflect what the developers have changed since then. This Lite version of the app will NOT print your documents. It has four sample files to print. One is a 8 page Wikipedia write-up on printers, another is 2 pages of Mark Twain quotes, a photo of Mona Lisa, and some Lorem Ipsum notes. This is great to finagle if your printer can work with their app and literally nothing else. I’m glad it’ll save me $8, because this lite version enabled me to discover there is no option to utilize duplex printing on my brother printer. I give the app four stars because it performed exactly as described as a testing measure. I was disappointed to find out this program does not support duplexing. I print a LOT of resources for students and I was hoping to utilize multiple pages per printout and duplexing simultaneously to save paper..Version: 5.4.19

It worked for me fine, it's a disappointment to me that on my particular printer I had to install a little thing ( obviously I'm not a technical person here but I followed the instructions and was extremely easy ) on our other computers and one of them needs to be on for it to print. This isn't a problem for me because someone in our house usually has a computer running but if that wasn't the case I wouldn't have bothered and would have just emailed myself and printed from computer. THIS APP IS INTENDED TO TEST AND SEE IF YOU CAN SETUP YOUR PRINTER IN THE FIRST PLACE. Why? Because compatibility is an issue and no one developer can guarantee that every single printer will work. Tested well on my system, I was able to set up my network printer via the IP address. I'll consider getting the pro version to print. $7 is a lot to pay for an app, considering this is something Apple should have included by default for iOS in the first place, at least for the iPad. ✓ It works!!!!!I have tried numerous printer apps and they never worked. I had to use Jump Desk to log onto my desktop to print from there which means I might as well be on my desktop anyway. I installed the lite version of Printer Pro and it immediately hooked to my network printer and printed the sample page. Why should I have to purchase one of a handful of HP printers for printing with the iPad when Printer Pro let's me print to any printer I would like to purchase (like my Canon Pixma 340)? It has a couple little things you have to know in order to make it work, but its a short learning curve. 1. Download the desktop software from their site onto each computer you intend to print through. 2. Make sure the computer is awake before you try to print. ✓ Great app because it did not work!!Prior posters that left negative feedback in the way they did need to either A) go back to school because they have to much street smarts or B) Drop out of school and enter the workforce to get some street smarts and learn to take extra time think clearly before opening their mouths.
