✓ Decent game. A few bugs though...Recently was updated for use with latest OS. However only works fully on iPad. With iPhone 5 there are no A, B, C buttons and no sound. Using the iPad is fun, but controls take up a lot of the screen - Takes some getting used to, but game is highly playable and enjoyable. Just as I remember! One bug is that the lead character sprite seems to occasionally vanish after taking damage from a boss, which can be a frustrating handicap. Other than that - Yeah, decent! Cheers :).Version: 2.0

✓ Plays Worse Than an Emulator from 2001.YIKES, Sega. First of all, Gunstar Heroes is one of my all-time favorite games. When I discovered that it was available for my brand new iPad Mini 5? I was ECSTATIC. I bought an 8BitDo controller for a retro experience, downloaded the game and prepared feel like a kid again. Only to have the game run like garbage. Constant stuttering, poor support for my controller, it really just bummed me out. I even paid the $2 to unlock it from ads and I still got ads for other Sega titles. These issues don’t seem to be limited to just this title, either. I downloaded pretty much every Sega Forever title and they all run poorly. I’m very sad. Very disappointed. Asking for a refund on my purchase from Apple..Version: 4.1.1
✓ Multi player not workingA great game single player, just like the original. But multiplayer doesn't work. It says either "invalid room" or if you can get past that part, the screen is just stuck on displaying the black before title screen. Like "sega" doesn't even appear. Only problems are the obvious control issues and the touch screen can only offer so much, along with the controls being right in the middle of the action. ✓ Worth the moneyUpdate - this no longer works. Rubbish. Was amazed to see this on here. I would have thought that sega would release plenty other games first (SOR2 and Sonic 3 please?!). So it was a pleasant surprise of finding this, and has given me a few good hours of nostalgia. Onscreen controls do get in the way on the busier levels... Which is pretty much all of them! I found myself pressing down an awful lot by accident. Think this probably kills the replay value a little for me, as I can imagine the harder difficulty settings being nearly impossible because of this. Still worth the money and good for a blast. Gamers who remember it from first time around will get a lot more out of it than these young folk! Quite nice to think that this game was pushing the megadrive to it's limit 17 years ago, and now it's being handled with ease by a mobile phone... Talking of classic megadrive shoot em ups... Thunderforce 4 anyone? :-) c'mon sega... You can obviously turn out megadrive games on the iPhone really easily! More please!!.Version: 1.0
✓ Loved this on the MegadriveThis was a classic on the Megadrive. Great game and still is, trouble is Sega have done a lazy port. Buttons that cover half the screen, there is no way to customise and resize them. Also there is no Gamecentre support, achievements or WiFi multiplayer. This should be 59p. Lazy sega, very lazy. They made very little effort with the 2 Sonics & shining star, Sonic 4 wasn't the game it should have been. Sega are after money for very little effort living off past glories:(.Version: 0

✓ Gunstar Zero- play the originalPlay the original. This game on a cell phone with onscreen controls is terrible (like all game that need you to have your thumbs cover 1/3rd of the screen). I was crushed by the giant broccoli! Even the previous cell release had better controls. As does the AT Games hand held Genesis (w/SD ability), or any other number of ways to play it. ✓ Poor MFi Controller SupportI am using a SteelSeries Nimbus on an iPad Pro 2018 running iOS 12.2 and the controller support is poorly thought out. The B button is used to fire the weapon, but it also activates the “rewind” feature when you hold the “B” button down for more than 3 seconds. The fact that the “rewind” feature is actually set to “R2” in the control settings makes no difference and the “R2” button actually does nothing. As is, this game is unplayable on a controller. Also, you are unable to select the “Menu” button located in the middle of the controller for “pause” and are forced to use one of the other buttons on the controller. “Pause” is set to the “Y” button by default. I’ve noticed the same button issue in other games by Sega. The MFi controller support needs to be overhauled. If Sega can fix these issues this would make playing these games much more enjoyable and I’d likely purchase all of them since they bring back memories. But with the poor MFi controller support I can’t bring myself to actually buy these games for now..Version: 4.0.0
