✓ Yawn!What a boring game! I played for 2 days and honestly, watching paint drying is far more exciting. The game play is awful too. My “worm” was getting blown to bits before he even left the ground. It’s repetitive and the lack of content just makes the game old really fast. I wouldn’t recommend. ✓ FrustratedI have loved and adored playing death worm for a few years, even playing the same levels over and over again (mainly the blitz levels), but now I am more than likely going to delete the app. It’s now heavily filled with ads and the fact that I have to either wait for more energy to continue playing or pay for unlimited energy or a season pass is just such a sell out. I was #1 on leader board for most of the levels on the old version, and now, I can’t play long enough to know if there even is a leader board anymore, and sadly I don’t even care to. ✓ I miss how the game wasI hate you have to have energy or real money to keep playing. Just a classic money scheme that makes me want to not play the game at all. I hate the progressive level up of the worm instead of how it used to be when you start as a small and slow worm and level yourself up throughout the map. I also hate that you now always have boost instead of having to work for it and get the blue or orbs. I like that the developers are still doing stuff with the game. I like the new graphics and such but i just wish there was and option or setting to make it so you can play the game how it used to be..Version: 2.0.033

✓ Pay2playThis game was fun… for all of 20 minutes until I unlocked the second worm. After which missions become unbeatable, requiring higher level worms than you have access to. Missions are not skill based, making a new base level player play missions meant for higher level progress in the game. Not to mention, “commercial breaks” which more often than not take you out of the app to push click-through to App Store sponsors. As well as the players used for advertisements freezing, not allowing exit, or not awarding benefits. Do not recommended, this is essentially a port of the old flash games with micro-transactions required to progress beyond a half-hour of gameplay..Version: 2.0.042

✓ Same old storyDid you buy this game out of nostalgia? Do you remember spending hours leveling up and playing through complex and engaging levels? Well, put that memory to rest. Death Worm has fallen prey to the Monetization Monster. At some point in the last decade, our favorite mobile games were converted to monetized to Pay For Play (or should I say Pay for Prey) models targeted at children with access to their parents credit cards. It is a scam, and demonstrates the regression of mobile gaming in the worst ways. This of course, did not initially deter me from playing the game. So what? Watch some ads and get your level-ups. However, if you play too frequently without paying, the game starts killing your worm arbitrarily despite having a full health bar. If you continue to play without purchasing upgrades, the game will lock your power ups behind 3 separate ads—requiring you to watch 1:30 minutes of more Pay for Prey games. It is truly a shame how mobile gaming has devolved into shameless scamming on the App Store. Death Worm is no exception..Version: 2.0.038

You’ve done a great job with this version, however the classic infinite gameplay, i found was much more exciting. Even adding it in or re-releasing would bring much more attention to the game. ✓ Classic version was much more enjoyableUnfortunately there isn’t that thrill coming from the game like there was when it was first released, especially the fact there is no arcade mode where you can play infinitely and the game gets progressively harder while also gaining upgrades. If you could release a classic version of the game, it would be beneficial for all audience. ✓ Absolutely garbageDid you get this game out of nostalgia? Remember those fun filled moments of upgrading your worm? Well death worm is now garbage. It has fell from one of the most popular classics on the PC to now being like all the other mobile games, it is infested with ads popping up right when you start a level. And now it is now entirely P2w, it is making your worm SUPER easy to kill and then making you buy gems to continue playing the game but then you die AGAIN right before you can beat the level so then you have to buy MORE gems to continue and guess what? You die AGAIN, so they made levels rigged so you can’t beat them. And why is “above normal” SO FRICKIN HARD. Death worm, Why did you become this? You didn’t have to be like all the other mobile games. This is the last nail in the coffin! good riddance!👋.Version: 2.0.041
✓ MehI mean it’s a good concept but you should make a endless mode where you can just grind coins. But if you don’t want that then you should get rid of the entire progression system you should make it so you actually level up like in the ads and you get faster and stronger every level. ✓ Ad to revive?The game is fine, refined up and monetized back down to the fun level of the original with a bit slower pace. but it’s been frustrating that whenever I try to watch an ad to revive (you get one chance if the level is randomly more dangerous than usual) the ad ends and I’m dead anyway. ✓ Pretty much a cash grabTitle says it all. - Edit, this is absolutely true. The game is well designed and tailored. You don’t need to spend any money on the app at all to compete and play. I should’ve gone further into depth with my review. The barraging ads are a bit annoying but it is to expected with the new traction from the recent update. ✓ The grind made worseI remember this game as a fun and silly game where I could mess around and do whatever I wanted without having to worry about being good, just a fun sandbox game. Now it's a mission based game with immeasurable amounts of grinding to get to the next world, not to mention the new worms, they're extremely hard to get and the balance of the game seems like it is trying to slow-down F2P players and try and grab the players whi are willing to pay to progress in the game. ✓ Lol what happened ?Man this game turned into a money grab. I remember playing this years ago and it was thrilling and super faced pace with no micro transactions… well kiss those days goodbye. A even bigger monster summoned and ate and spit this whole game apart. The worms aren’t as fast. The jumps are limited now and have to wait for a meter to fill up. Microtransactions sucking it’s deadly teeth into your wallet. Ads and Energy bars. It’s no longer unique and a stand out. ✓ Progression Needs WorkThe progression system leaves something to be desired. Unlocking a new worm is cool and all but in reality all it does is unlock a different ability and skin. The ability isn’t even something that drastically changes the gameplay or anything. Then the fact that all your advancements start back at ground zero makes it feel like i downgraded instead. Like going from crushing things left and right to barely being able to jump in the air feels bad. Started feeling more weird about the progression system once i was forced to fully upgrade my worm before i could buy the next worm. Why would i invest in something I’m not going to use? It just felt like i was spending time grinding coins just to have to grind more to unlock the next worm. I feel like it’s a bad sign for the game when i would rather watch an ad than play. Also i get that you need to make the game harder but the way it scales on level feels wrong. I can crush these opponents one level but the next level with the same ones I die super fast? Overall I really enjoy the game. Especially if i care enough think about it this much, but I do think a big update could do the game some good. ✓ Ad farmerThis is pretty much an advertising farmer with a simple side game. I can’t even play the game because at the daily login bonus it is forcing me to watch an ad for double rewards. I don’t want the double rewards yet I can’t collect the normal daily bonus in order to get passed the screen. If you would like to upgrade your review then you can subscribe for it. Other than that this is exactly why I don’t need a $1500 phone. If this is basically what the store has to offer then $150 phone is just fine..Version: 2.0.041
✓ UFO nerfsThe UFOs really need nerfing. These are a pain to deal with in campaign, especially when you have to kill one to complete it. It usually takes all three boosts and a worm with way too many upgrades to do anything to those things. They have high hp, are virtually impossible to reach, and can take out tons of your worm’s hp. They’re the reason I deleted the game the first time, and if these UFOs aren’t nerfed, there will be a second time. I thought Highcore was bad, but at least they gave f2p players a way to win. ✓ Adfest 2022Used to love this game but now it’s just non stop ads. Don’t want to watch an ad to double your money? Well, watch an ad for not watching an ad. Want to start the campaign mission? Watch an ad. Want to do anything? Ad! The actual gameplay is fun. Great game for killing time and not having to devote hours upon hours of your time playing, but the ads completely ruin it. ✓ This game Is complete garbage now.This game used to be absolutely amazing. It used to be one of my favorite games ever. After recently seeing it in the App Store, I decided to download it and I really wish I hadn’t. They did an “update” that completely changed the game. Before you were completing tasks to earn upgrade points and collecting fireballs and super jumps. There were also like 10 things to upgrade and you could play as long as you wanted. Now the fireballs and super jumps reload after a certain amount of time. You can’t upgrade your worm in-game and you need to collect or buy coins to upgrade your worm. There’s only 4 things to upgrade and you can’t go super fast along the surface anymore. There’s more screens with options to pay money instead of just loading the game and picking the location you want to play at. This game turned into a mainstream app designed to take your money..Version: 2.0.038

✓ Fun٫ but OP enemiesThis game was very fun٫ but the enemies are extremely overpowered٫ and levels with more than 2 stages really should not be a thing. It's unfair٫ and in the beginning of the game every level is hard because you dont get any simple levels to build you to the point where you can actually play harder levels. To go with that٫ you should also add the option to watch an ad or pay gems to revive your worm. The game is somewhat of a gash grab that you can barely play well without making purchases. If you could at least nerf the enemies٫ (specifically helicopters and drills) make enemies spawn less frequently٫ and make defense upgrades actually do something then this game would be much better then this crappy version..Version: 2.0.041
