✓ Really disappointedSpent £6 to download the app for it then to ask what subscription I want to sign up for (more money). I don’t know what I have paid £6 for when you have to still subscribe to use the app. Really hard to navigate. Have to keep switching back and forth from the ingredients to the method as they are on different pages. Awful app. Wish I hadnt bothered and just bought the books instead..Version: 4.0.0

✓ It doesn’t generate shopping listsRecipies seem nice. It is not very handy to add one by to the meal planner, specially since there is no way to have a general overview of it. You need to remember what you already add and when. Then, once you succeed, there is not shopping list automatic generation, you need to add the recipes again! It will be really nice if there will be a nutritional preferences quiz at the beginning and then you have meal plan automatically generated, with shopping list. ✓ Fantastic UI. Horrible bugs.My wife and I bought this app to help plan meals for our infant. There are critical logic bugs that need to be fixed. For example, if you switch units from metric to imperial, and add new items to your shopping list, the list has items in grams and in cups. The app should standardize the list in one set of units. My wife added one recipe and the app bombed on her. She restarted and went to her shopping list. Apparently we need to purchase 110 onions this week for one of the recipes. Not sure I could eat that many onions let alone our baby. Two examples of many bugs that are prevalent in this version of the app. Obvious no one tested this before releasing to the App Store..Version: 1.7
✓ AverageI had to pay for app and decided it would be worth it because hello, Annabel Karmel? I didn't have to pay for BLW app and I can tell you this: do not purchase THIS app. It is organised in such a way you have to scroll through the recipes to find anything suitable for the meal of the day. There is no section for breakfast, lunch etc. They're all weirdly mushed into one but sectioned off depending on the child's age. The recipes are nothing new and there aren't many for toddlers. Just buy BLW app, tons of recipes, easy to follow, nicely sectioned off into B L D. This was a total waste of money..Version: 3.7

✓ The ap for starting solidsAbsolutely love the ap. Great recipes divided into helpfully categories (first tastes, 6-9 months etc) Also a helpful place to start a weekly meal plan then you can make sure they are getting everything in one week. My only feedback is a functional issue. When I’m a recipe screen, the picture remains at the top and takes up 2/3 of the screen. This leaves only a small amount of room for the method and ingredients instructions. I suggest when you scroll down the ingredients or method screen that the picture scrolls up and out the way so you have more room to view what you need..Version: 3.5

✓ Suddenly can’t access!I bought this app almost 2yrs ago for a one off cost £4.99. I thought it was useful as I have AK weaning book bit this made it easier to search for recipes and bookmark them. However I just tried to use the app for ideas for dinner tonight, only to find that I can’t access it anymore unless I sign up to a £2.99 per month subscription or £24 annual payment. That is a huge hike on cost and there was no warning. You’d think they’d let existing customers who purchased it before this could keep their access, even if they just restricted new content. ✓ Books are great, this app needs a handLove her kitchen, and used it a lot throughout with my first kid! Was recommending. But mostly went along with the Complete Meal Planner and the web recipes. Then started the changes. Account and new accounts request etc, Downloaded this for the inspiration and to revive with my second around. Love that the screen can be frozen as well as the customizable planner and shopping list. And that’s about it! Search option is poor, when you have to come back from the recipe and research the list of the recipes all over and over and over again instead of just returning you to where you’ve stopped. And again accounts access needed to get into some sections. Annabelle, please bring back your simplicity! And structure! AK should have either allowed previous patrons to still access the recipes they paid for, give us all a refund, or just release the new model as a separate app, rather than penalising the original supporters. ✓ Wasted moneyI purchased the Annabel Karmel app for a one off fee and customised my account with favourite recipes etc. Now I can no longer access the app I paid for without paying a monthly subscription fee or ANOTHER one off fee. No doubt the creators will claim recipes are updated now so it justifies the extra cost but I disagree, I should have access (even if limited) to the recipes I have already paid for. No warning was given at all, what a way to treat (and lose) customers!.Version: 4.0.11

✓ No what I’m looking forFirstly the app is very buggy. Crashed multiple times, repeatedly logged me out, froze on screen. Also it’s not very intuitive - when making a meal planner it would be helpful to be able to filter recipes. The recipes themselves look very yummy and child friendly. However you’ve got to have a lot of time and a healthy shopping budget to be able to make them! Also SOOO much sugar! The pre-made meal planner is a great idea but it would have been useful if it reused ingredients over the week. For example if you’re having something with half a cauliflower in it on Monday couldn’t you make something with the other half later in the week? Also lots of the recipes can be batched cooked but there are no freezing/fridge instructions..Version: 4.0.3
✓ ScamI purchased this app before the upgrade and I could only open it once and then it started giving an error message every time I tried to open it. Emailed the support through the website and then got a reply back that they’re launching a new app and will have to create a new account and pay for yearly or monthly subscription!!! What happens to the money I paid already then?? When I emailed saying I want a refund for what I paid they disappeared and never heard back from anyone.. worst ever!!!.Version: 4.0.2

✓ Frustrating to useI like the app overall, it’s attractive and there are lots of recipes and articles with information on. However, it’s hard to read because the photo of the recipe takes up most of the screen and you have a small viewing window at the bottom to scroll through. Unless there’s another way to view it that I haven’t discovered, it’s really frustrating. Once I’ve seen the picture I’d like the recipe to take up most of the screen so I don’t have to keep scrolling..Version: 3.4
✓ Where did all the recipes go???Read update below... Everything just disappeared! I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app...that didn’t work. It doesn’t let me login or even reregister. I contacted their support team a few times, NO answer. It is VERY rare for me to write a review, and a bad one at that. I am so disappointed with their customer service. **update!! I uninstalled and reinstalled AGAIN, and it is working. So for any of you still having this issue, try doing that even if you’ve already done it. Even though the app works now, and I love it overall, they still get a 1 star for customer service. But I am changing my one star to 3, because the recipes are actually really good and my kids love the food. Ms. Karmel, (or the support team), if you do bother reading reviews, please take heed. ✓ RecipesThere are a lot of mistakes in these recipes and the instructions are unclear… I’ve just baked a cake where it’s not obvious the the total amount of sugar is to be split between the cake and the frosting. It’s also the consistency of soup after being in the oven for the stated amount of time...Version: 3.8

✓ Suddenly subscription only with no warningHaving paid for the app a few years ago I am so disappointed to see it has now gone subscription only, without any forewarning. I cannot access any previously saved recipes which were favourites in our house, even though I paid for access initially. This is very poor service and shows little regard for customers who have been loyal for many years. I will not be buying anything from this brand in the future..Version: 4.0.10
