✓ Good but not great yet.This App is certainly worth the asking price and will provide many hours of addictive game play for the word game enthusiast. The interface is clean and responsive and there are many variations of the game you can select to play. The game has a few glitches that are serious enough to require a game restart (unable to select letters, menu/buttons freeze or are unresponsive, letter selection indicator no longer displays, etc.) but it seems to happen only after many hours of play. Some things I would like to see added or changed; 1. A 'New Game' button that uses the previous game settings instead of having to open the game selection menu. 2. A 'Pause' button. Maybe black out the letters or something. Overall, if you like word style games then buy this. It's fun, challenging and well crafted..Version: 1.3

✓ Good practice for BoggleI'm enjoying the game, though not as much as I would if it had a better dictionary. The one it uses contains too many words not in anyone's vocabulary, even the most erudite professor of historical linguistics. At the same time, it leaves out real words that, while obscure, are still in use. So the game rewards memorizing lists of non-words rather than developing a better vocabulary. ✓ I Love this game!!!I am addicted to all the Word Shaker games and this one is no exception. I downloaded them all so I can play multiple word shaker games at the same time. This game is absolutely addicting and worth every penny. Never any crashes or problems. In fact, even after upgrading to the paid versions I kept the free ones so I could have more games going at the same time. I never tire of this game. It recognizes all valid words, something not all word games do. This, and the other Word Shaker games are great word games. And no, I am in no way connected to the developer..Version: 1.4
✓ Love the game, but (a small one)Been playing for about a year. I had the game with ads and finally bought this one cuz I get sick of ads and it's really not all that expensive. I like all the options they have for time limits or untimed. Actually I like pretty much everything about this game....but....isn't there always: Some words don't show up as words, some do that I can't believe are. Not that many though. If you like to play the untimed games cuz you just want it for relaxing, then the more you play the harder it is, which wouldn't be a problem if they would swap them up. After awhile you'll be doing good to get 65% (more recently 60%), of the words where I was getting over 80-90%. I'm afraid if I keep playing, pretty soon it won't be as much fun simply because the words are way to hard to make...I mean maybe if they "were" words I've heard even once in my life.. Overall, for the price you can't beat it. I've written this long review for those of you, who, like me, really like these kind of games, to give you a heads up....Version: 3.1

The minimal cost to do away with those awful ads is well worth the money since I use this app often. Like other reviewers, I notice words that are arcane and peculiar to the British Isles. So what? It still offers hours of fun and an opportunity to learn while enjoying myself. ✓ Excellent game, slightly unresponsive on my iPhoneThis game is addictive as others have said. It's very similar to the late lamented Wurdle, with the addition of the shaker feature. Compared to Wurdle the randomised letter selection definitely gives less spellable words - I guess the letter selection algorithm must be different: the result is that the shaker feature comes into play quite quickly. In fact I have stuck to a 5 x 5 grid, so other sizes may behave differently. I also find on my IPhone 7 that sometimes I can slide my finger too fast for the game to follow. Perhaps this will be corrected in future versions..Version: 4.2

✓ Good, but needs better online gameplayThis is a good word game, better than Boggle, but it desperately needs asynchronous online gameplay. It currently has live game center matches available, but nobody's ever online, I've never been able to find one single opponent to play. If it had asynchronous gameplay then each player could solve the board when they're ready, and the results could be shown once both players are done. It also needs push notifications to let us know when it's our turn. Finally, it seems the free version of this game and the paid version connect as 2 different games, it might help increase the online pool of players if both games fed into the same connection. I should be able to play this game with some who has the free version and vice versa..Version: 1.1
