✓ Good, but definitely can be better.Coming from the Xbox side of the “console war”, the PlayStation UI on consoles are definitely cleaner than Xbox. However, the app for the PlayStation could definitely do better to reflect that. For starters, why have it broken up into different apps like PS Remote Play and PS4 Second Screen - the latter of which is essentially using the device as a second remote. That can all be incorporated in the main PS app for simpler use. Also, coming from Xbox, I really miss the ability to stream my gameplay clips. You’d think that, this being the beginning of a new console generation, the app would’ve changed by now. The Xbox app sure did anyways..UnityExtremeVersion: 21.4.0

✓ DisappointingFirstly, I find the app not particularly easy to navigate or intuitive. But frankly the most disappointing is when I receive messages from clear fraudsters asking me to reply to receive nude pics, but when I try to report the message I get told “You are not signed in”. Erm, so you’re fine to send me these messages despite apparently me not being signed in, but I can’t report them? Seems pretty rubbish to me. Especially as frankly I have about 1,001 different logins for various organisations these days, each asking you to have separate passwords etc. so I sure as anything can’t remember my Sony login details since my PS4 and ps5 remember it for me all the time. I really can’t be bothered to go digging around for it - or worse, use the “forgot password” feature and have to sign in again on my ps devices - maybe that makes me lazy but welcome to human nature. ✓ Im being 100% honest.Okay so the clips are what really get me. they literally take forever to load onto my phone. and my phone isnt an old one so its not my device. whenever i would watch a clip on the app, the video would randomly crash and show this stupid grey screen. so when this happens i just click on another clip and guess what? GREY SCREEN. this happens alot and it makes me really mad. yes ive closed the app but it doesnt make it any better. ✓ Missing feature for PS4 users that PS5 users hasOnly commonly used it for replying to messages but since they announced they’re removing X (Previously called Twitter), it’s limited sharing our experiences. Although it’s only PS5 consoles who only has this feature, it should be considered for PS4 users to have the capture galleries on this app as well so we can easily share experiences via downloading our videos and images rather the complex route of using a USB stick. ✓ Lack of safety is astonishingPlayStation cannot guarantee the safety of your data, their defences are extremely weak and make it possible to hack it during the least convenient times. But things happen, there’s always support, right? Wrong. Their support team works such short office hours they will not be able to assist you even as you watch your bank account dwindling in real time. The only choice you’ll have is to exist cardless until the workers comes back to their 9-5 job. PlayStation does not seem to care for the feedback they get and keep reducing human contact to minimum. ✓ My game UNDOWNLOADED ITSELF.My game ( marvels spiderman) has to redownload, and unfortunately i can’t download it again. i don’t even have wi-fi. i have used multiple hotspots and waited for days so it would download along with ALL 3 of the add- ons. this is really frustrating because i have already beat the game and all the add on missions and now i will lose all of my progress. if my playstation is gonna continue to do stuff like this im considering switching to xbox because i don’t have the time or wi-fi for this to keep happening. i waited days for this to download because the game itself was 61 GB. and the add ons were about 5 GB all together. i don’t know what to do at this point and i am beyond frustrated. i play this game almost every day and i love it. if this isn’t fixed by playstation soon then i am giving up on this company and switching to xbox because i can’t afford for this to keep happening. i have invested so much time and money into this company and it can’t even let me atleast keep the games i love..Chickennuggets183Version: 21.11.2

✓ Not a bad app but needs improvementsThis app is good but it needs improvements like if someone invites you to a party, and you don’t have a mic to connect to your controller. This is a repeating problem, but with my suggestion. It’s to add a function of joining your friends party or heck even having a function even having a mic setting and yet you can’t use it. Here’s another improvement that I suggest, Make sure that if you get an invite to the party, you can actually join the party and chat not giving us the option to get a mic. No doing that., just makes it a waste of time. Do the most good thing and do it. Don’t leave the people without mics. Make sure that they get the best gift from you Sony. Do these improvements and you won’t have a BAD rating. That’s why I’m giving Sony and the PlayStation app, a 3.5 stars. ✓ Not a review of the app it self but more of the PSN network as a wholeThe PlayStation app works quite well, as I’ve encountered few glitches or bugs, though it can be hard to navigate compared to the old way. However there are some issues that I have with the PlayStation Network that apply to this app. First, you can no longer change your cover image from the app, or the website for that matter. I have no idea why they removed this feature as now it’s much more difficult to change the cover image, and it often looks worse because you’re having to take a screenshot of something rather than download the image. Second, Playstation does not allow you to delete shared media so if you post anything, it stays on your profile. This is another feature that seems so obvious to have, as sometimes you post something and later don’t want to see it. Third, when you become friends with someone, you automatically follow them and they follow you back. But if you unfriend them they will still be following you, and you can’t make them unfollow you unless you block them. Once again, it seems only logical to have the ability to control who follows you and who doesn’t but Playstation does not allow you that. ✓ Horrible captcha puzzlesI had a visual captcha which had 20 puzzles, all of which were largely ambiguous and difficult for a human to figure out. I eventually switched to the audio, which had 10 puzzles but when I managed to get them all right, I came up with a tick and then brought me back to the login page?! I even had another person to help me and even they were absolutely stumped! ✓ Hate this version of the AppJust opened up the app for the first time in a week to see if any new PSVR apps have been released. First I had to enter my credentials, which is not so bad, but one logged in, the disappointment continued, to such a point that I no longer want to use this app. I use the app from an iPhone X and before I used to go straight to view PSVR games, scroll through them and review ones that take my interest with very little effort, but now, I have to zoom in and out all the time to read stuff, then the screen jumps around and I loose my place. Some kind of options bar drops down from the top filling nearly half the screen and seems difficult to get rid of. The whole look just looks messy with a pictured background that everything else floats across, pleas bring back a solid colour background. ✓ DisappointingI really don’t like this app as it’s just disappointing they just take out things it already had and make them into other apps for no reason. And they still have not added party chat since the app has released. They really need to add party chat or make a party chat app because this app is basically pointless as you can’t do anything great with it besides check if your friends are online and what there playing or going on PlayStation store or checking trophies. And adding party chat would improve it a lot and get more people to download the app so you can talk to your friends on the go or if you don’t have a mic. The Xbox app is so much better than this app as it has everything including viewing game clips that other people made communities party chat so you can actually talk with friends and you don’t even need our console to be on or anywhere near it as you can create a party in the app and your friends can join from Xbox they also have messages trophy viewing and Microsoft store all in one app and is just a way better app in general. ✓ Room for improvementI hate that the App kicks me out of a party chat if I receive notifications or play videos/music on my iPhone. Makes the phone unusable until you leave the chat. Other than that, some bugs where if you are in a party chat, you cannot go to the App home screen, your stuck on a frozen party chat screen. Happens few times a week. It is a total inconvenience to use now, it worked before and all within the one app, literally at the touch of one button. ✓ Needs some work.I would have started at 4 stars and then given you 5, but I felt like you wouldn’t fix what I’m asking for. I think the UI is pretty good and works fine on iPhone X and I have few issues with it. BUT, there are 2 things I REALLY want changed and I don’t know if I’m alone here, but I think they would make the experience a lot better. 1.) On the PSN feature of the app, it is confusing to navigate. The part that is confusing is the back button. It is too hard to find and the X button kicks you out of PSN leaving you to start all over. This is annoying esp if you are shopping. 2.) I use the PS Communities app ALOT and I like to post photos. Offline! It would be nice if I could access my photo gallery from my phone, even if it meant being hooked up to WiFi and being in the vicinity of my PS4. Now, is that asking too much? ✓ Sign-in screen?It’s not a bad app overall. I’m glad they put messaging back into the main app. But it’s been…how many years since Touch ID and Face ID were invented? Yet, Sony still hasn’t figured out a way to have the app connect to either one, and worse, it doesn’t even connect to Apple’s password system. You still have to exit the app, log into whatever password app you’re using, copy and paste the password, go back to the Sony app, etc. PLEASE just make it so that there’s a fingerprint or Face ID scanner within the app’s login field. For a tech company like Sony, it’s been more than enough time for you to figure out how to do this already! Or better yet…maybe stop logging us out constantly on our own phones? This isn’t a banking app; it’s gaming! On an approved device, give us the option to stay logged in. ✓ Don’t waste your time.I was extremely excited about getting this app and being able to upload my captures etc. At first it worked perfectly and then all the problems started. After awhile your captures just stop uploading all together for no reason at all. You can’t delete the captures from your phone if you want to you so you can free up room for other captures. Ive tired looking for multiple solutions, there isn’t any. For how big PlayStation is you would think these issues would be resolved in a swift manner or none existent. ✓ Impossible to get into if you forget informationI forgot my password before logging in and it wants to email me so I can reset it and the email never comes. A month later after trying it finally sends so I can reset my password… or so you’d think. They want the birthday to the account. Which doesn’t accept the correct birthday, after that your stuck with some customer service no one wants to deal with so your best bet is to guess your password although after a few wrong guesses your locked out for a while. ✓ PS Video ReviewApparently the PS Video app is no longer available because Sony does not care about its customers. I have been a life long PlayStation user and began building a library of movies through their store only to have Sony stop selling movies and television in their PlayStation store. Now viewing my purchased movies is a nightmare. Not only am I unable to download my films to my console but even viewing my films through the trash ps video app is terrible. I downloaded some movies to my phone and the film still has issues loading and will frequently restart my movies rather than picking up where I left off. Sonys handling of videos purchased through PS is hot garbage and leaves loyal customers out to dry. This conduct is a huge middle finger to anyone who has purchased tv and film in their store. The more time that passes the harder it gets to view purchased content. Sadly many of the movies I love were purchased through Sony and PS and I will have to buy them again (definitely not through Sony or any extension of Sony). Sony should do the right thing and offer some form of compensation for discontinuing the services that are needed to view purchased content. ✓ 2/5Apart from no full screen web browser, laggy PS4 remote play on the ps5 in conparison to PS5 remote play on the PS4 and no media player on the PS5, I set up a new account because I cannot even change my gamer name and I wanted a name that doesn’t show my surname. And now I learn that I cannot play games that I own on my other psn account… I don’t want my ps5 to be associated with me directly so staying logged in to the old account is a problem but, if you’re fixing systems when will you allow the ability to either transfer purchases or to allow two psn accounts (who have been verified to have the same owner/identity) to use the same content. ✓ Can’t login!!!Every time I try to login it asks me to do a puzzle. You need to complete 8 of these puzzles to login. EVERY TIME I’ve tried it says try again. Then I tried the audio version of the puzzle which also is around 8 puzzles you need to pass. When I complete the puzzle it takes me but to the login screen and loads for a few seconds then does nothing. I’ve been at this for DAYS!!! ✓ Give Us Push Notifications Back!!My PS4 notifications are OFF because it seriously annoys me to get pop-ups when I’m playing a game, especially when I’m in an intense fight, in a cutscene, doing Shareplay with a friend or broadcasting. ✓ Fixes NeededGreat to see the app finally getting a major update. With this new release there are some teething problems. When receiving a message you get two notifications. One with the content of the message. A second with a notification that you have a notification - hmmm iPad rotation. I have a keyboard attached and the app is in portrait mode! Come on! The app is design to be layered. So when you’re five pages deep into someone’s profile, their trophy list, you go into one of the games on that list. You have to constantly tap back to get home. Have an ever present home button. You can in fact have two pages of depth and you need to tap backwards on both - this is a horrible concept. You need to rethink this instantly. No profile backgrounds (might be getting removed with PS5) Can’t see Friend Requests Sent Can’t add a message to a friend request to explain why or where you seen them. The app of fast, content seems very well presented within in, no search button in the store tab (there’s universal search though) Navigation needs rethinking the most in my opinion. ✓ Looks great but missing key featuresThe new UI is great. Navigation is smooth, and it’s fairly easy to get around. However, I just skipped the PS Store Black Friday sale because of this app. Why? No Wish List. And no filters in the store. I am new to PlayStation (lifelong gamer elsewhere), and I did hours (HOURS) of research on the best PS-exclusives when I got my console last year. I added all the ones that interested me to the wish list, and that wish list is how I buy games. I previously opened my app, looked at my list, and boom. After spending the last 20 minutes trying to find the Wish List, I realized it simply wasn’t there. I don’t want to spend any more of my day scrolling through countless games, with no easy way (that I can ascertain) to filter games or find a wish list. Please bring back the wish list, and please add easy-to-use filters on the store. Side note- the app seems like a great place to edit and share screenshots and such, but again, no easy way to do so. ✓ 🤔The PlayStation app has lots of good features and helps me know when to play on PC or PlayStation. The big problem is that for user that doesn’t use the PlayStation app very often I often find myself signed out of the PlayStation app every update! Is insanely frustrating because I would love to be able to talk with people that are messaging me through my phone instead of having to turn on the PlayStation but I have to sign in again and again and sometimes my password doesn’t even want to work on here. The worst part about the app is that it’s separated from the other two core features of PSN! Communities and messages are both part of separate apps where as with Discord there are no separate apps for different features. Even Xbox is better than PS in this area. The PlayStation app needs to be turned into one app not three, And the app needs to calm down with its security settings. ✓ Too many apps!Its a pretty easy app to use however you usually have to go through many menus to find what you want. ✓ Various issuesWhile the app is good for other things such as looking up on your trophies and going onto the store to look at games, the app is horrendous lately for party and messages. Every time I receive a message I’m unable to open it to view as all it keeps telling me is that there’s an error and tells me to try again. I reload it and I still keep getting the same message no matter what I do. I’m up to date with the latest version and regardless of what you try to do all you keep getting is the same error message. ✓ Bad bad experienceConstantly signs you out and you have to sign in almost anytime I open the app. Considering I never do this on my PS4 it’s almost impossible without going through a password reset option. ✓ Update glitches invites on PS4This new update is pretty bad, has added a number of issues in the PS4 system, as well as not being able to add people to your friends list from the invites you receive. It’s extremely annoying, and I’m almost wondering if it would be easier to switch to XBOX. I’ve been an avid ps fan since the ps1, have had every system available. Now it seems like they don’t care about the people playing anymore, or people who stream. Why can’t we use remote play to play from our PS4 and stream the gameplay as a secondary screen to a PC or Mac, to then use things like OBS. Instead you have to connect your controller to the pc, yet be under the same network. Why have the lag when you could just have the controller connected directly to the PS4 pro and stream from the computer without the lag? What’s up with these issues? ✓ App stops uploading Share media.App stops transferring media from the console after a short time of regular usage. After testing around with some friend’s PS apps we’ve come to the conclusion that PS wants you to get habituated to using the app to share. But then, PS stops loading the media to the app quite abruptly. The use of only the “Share” and “PS App” is incredibly convenient, but Sony gathers little in the way of data during that exchange. They want you to link your Twitter and YouTube accounts to continue to share as that opens up a much larger data trove for these companies to exploit. By making the app stop uploading your shares, it forces you to share your videos and images directly to an intermediary, in this case YouTube and/or Twitter, and in the process gathers a wealth of user data they simply couldn’t have access to if you only used the “Share” function and “PS app” to get the media off your console. This problem is pervasive. Just search and you’ll find it’s been going on for years with no solution from PlayStation customer service. That’s because this is not a glitch, it’s baked into the functionality of PS app. Never forget, your data is worth money. So PS doing this media transfer service for free is only meant to get you in the door. Then they pull the rug out and you’re forced to link these accounts to share. A workaround to this is to use an external HD or USB, but it’s not nearly as convenient as the instant console to app sharing the app initially offers. Linking to Twitter and YouTube is also not as convenient, but it’s still faster than the USB method. It’s a disappointment all around from a company that already asks way too much of its user-base. ✓ 1 step forward 2 steps back...The app has potential, but now it’s missing so much. The ability to post things from your phone to the What’s New section and the fact that the What’s New section is completely gone (no bueno) being able to comment and like your friends achievements or posts is what made the PS app stand out on top of any other gaming app that’s out there. Messages being intergrated into the app and the fact that you can actually buy things off the PSN are both welcomed changes, but all the accessibility that was in the original app needs to return. Profile customization, themes, I personally enjoyed the fact that close friends or family could see your actual picture with the Avatar made it so much more personal. If those changes are to occur I would not just recommend this app, but if you have a PlayStation, you NEED this app. As of now though the app is just...meh*...hope to see these changes in the future, but this is a decent start..Susanoo83Version: 20.9.4

✓ Not working on IPad ProDoesn’t allow me to sign in, always can’t connect to server. Everything is up to date and tried deleting and restarting . Works well on my iPhone though.EricFu16Version: 23.11.0

✓ Doesn’t let me sign inI recently have moved my data to my new phone, along with that I have signed in to all my other social media apps! On the ps app though (I think it’s due to the new update) when I press sign in it loads me on a black screen for a second and then takes me back to a screen that says let’s go! And underneath sign in. Although when I press either of the two, now it will completely do nothing until you close the app and re open it again and then do the same process. Sony if you see this please fix it as I wish to access this app as I know it is good overall. Many people may be experiencing the same issue I have and instead, just delete the app. Thanks and please fix this soon Sony!?.Ceo of playstationVersion: 20.9.5
