Coverage? Lite for Negative User Reviews

Coverage Maps AccuracyAs a T-Mobile customer The coverage maps for Kansas & Oklahoma are wrong as of 05-07-2020. Actual coverage is far less than what the map shows..Version: 2020.4

Is it up to dateHow up to date is this app. AT&T map on there web site looks different then this map (4G) in Ohio..Version: 2013.1

DisappointedOnly covered in America!!! Don't buy!!!!!.Version: 2012.10.2

Data is Patently FalseThis app appears to base coverage purely on what the cell carriers say, who have an interest in giving you the impression of the widest possible coverage. I know for a fact that there is no Verizon or T-Mobile LTE coverage at my work. Only AT&T works. But according to this app it has coverage by all major carriers..Version: 2021.2

07-Sep-19 - CorrectionNot clear in the product description is what the "trial period" is. On a "splash screen," the first time you use "Coverage? Lite," you are told it's THREE USES. For those three uses, you get the full "Coverage?" After that, the product description tells you that many (most?) of its features will "lock up." Bottom line: Based upon your needs, it may be worth your while to go straight to the $2.99 version of "Coverage?" and skip "Coverage? Lite." Good about this app is that the prices are clearly labeled: $2.99 for "Coverage?", and that's a one-time fee. They list $5.99 and $4.99 per year for the annual subscription. I suspect the $4.99 is the discount mentioned on the splash screen if you first pay $2.99 to "unlock" the app. Those with the annual subscription can expect to get updated maps more often (and in HD). So, what you need to decide is, just how are you going to use "Coverage?"? First, I would say that, as a one-time fee, the $2.99 is reasonable. The subscription fee is a more difficult thing to process. It would come down to just how you plan to use this app. For me, I use the app only when I'm thinking of shopping around for a new cell phone carrier. I might also check it when traveling, especially to places like Arizona, Nebraska, and Nevada, where some of the major carriers don't always have good coverage. It's a good "heads up." I imagine that if I lived in an RV and traveled all the time, especially to highly rural areas of the west, the subscription service would be a better idea. That's just my thought process. What is yours? Corrections: I deleted much of my 02-Sep-19 review since it was based upon my bad memory. In particular, I thought I got "Coverage?" for free. The author states that "Coverage?" has never been free. If that's the case, then "Coverage? Lite" may be a good way to look at the "paid for" app. I only upgraded from two to three stars, though, because I really don't like the concept of "crippleware," software that lets you use it a limited number of times before it "locks up" and isn't that useful anymore. And in this case, the stated "three uses" would seem to make the "Coverage? Lite" app shut down in a very short time; as I guessed above, maybe less than one day..Version: 2019.8

Updated in 2017 now only 90% worthlessInsufficient detail to help. Just trying to sell upgrade..Version: 2017.11

Whats the pointWhats the point, iPhone doesnt even get 4G or LTE.Version: 1.1

4G FinderThis app only leads you to the pay app. It did not provide information about LTE like it said it would..Version: 2013.7

Very very basicNot worth the 2.99. Just look up coverage map online for free. No detailed info or options..Version: 2020.7

Lucky it's freeDoes not work for Australian telcos, so don't bother if you are not in the USA. It's lucky to get one star..Version: 1.0

ConfusingChecked coverage, I thought, but map just showed a purple/pink color overall (not sure what that means)EVEN THOUGH MY CELL SERVICE IS REALLY WEAK Seems a waste of time and energy.Version: 2021.5

Feeder app for othersThe ads and upgrade prompts make the map difficult to use. It's of limited utility but is better than nothing I guess. Better data is available on carrier websites for free..Version: 2012.10.2

GMApp hasn't been updated in over 6 months !!! So coverage maps are outdated..Version: 2014.1

No LTEYou need to pay to see LTE. Who cares about WiMax anyways since its basically just the same as 3G but doesn't always work....Version: 2013.7

...I don't really understand this, may someone explain please.Version: 1.0

It's ok.....Not a bad app....but definitely needs to update 4g areas more quickly since many in my area are not noted on the application..Version: 1.0

Auto deletedThis app requires a purchase to view LTE coverage trash app.Version: 2013.5

Hasn't been updated in OVER a YEAR!Very very outdated maps, basically useless considering both ATT and T-Mobile have more than doubled their 4G coverage. Example: when this App was last updated in Jan, 2014, AT&T had rougly 200 or so 4G markets (areas/cities). Now it's 500 to 550 markets AT&T covers with 4G, which is the SAME amount of Markets Verizon covers with 4G.. Huge difference then what the maps show. Same for T-Mobile they updated their 4G a lot but these maps are so outdated and don't show that..Version: 2014.1

Update app and add more coveragePlease update this app and add coverage for uk including coverage for the networks ee, orange vodaphone, three uk, and other uk networks please.Version: 2014.1

MehIt's ok but they really need to update the maps!!!!!!!!! It very useless without that. The Omming feature is helpful, and they should make it so you can see more types of coverage than just 4g. An update is a must!.Version: 1.0

DeceivingCan't use to find LTE..Version: 2012.10.2

App has become uselessIn previous versions of the app, users had the option of accessing other coverage map layers besides "4G". However, especially in this newest revision, it is impossible to access anything other than the 4G map (and makes it well known and with an annoying popup rather than not displaying the buttons selecting the other layers at the bottom of the app)..Version: 2013.1

No updates for THREE YEARSHonestly, the app is okay, but because the coverage hasn't been updated in three years, the information is useless, as all of the major networks have greatly increased their 4g coverage..Version: 2014.1

Mostly useless.Pressing almost any button nags you to buy the full version. This free version doesn't have anywhere close to accurate maps. It uses the term "4G" very loosely. Places that I know have barely EDGE coverage supposedly have "4G", according to this app..Version: 2012.11

UsefulIt's nice to compare carriers side by side.Version: 1.0

WHY!!!Where's my town Tewksbury Massachusetts said on the Internet that AT&T added 4g lte and the update doesn't show it.Version: 2012.7

These maps are old from 2014Very old technology on these maps whoever's behind this app should be booted off the App Store.Version: 2014.1

Coverage info directly from provider. If I wanted to see what coverage the provider claims to offer in my area I could go to their website and look at their map. There is zero value provided by this app..Version: 2022.9

Not goodWant you to pay to have access to everything. You can use 4G for free..Version: 2012.11

Low resolutionThis is only good to find out whether your county has coverage in general. It lacks the resolution to see your actual neighborhood..Version: 2021.5

Not as advertisedNot as well as it seams it would be.Version: 1.0

Not UsefulWe don't have 4G We have 3G Either Develop a " 3G finder Or mark the price of "Coverage?" Down to $1.99 instead of $2.99.Version: 2014.1

Confusing interfaceI tried to see the coverage at my dad’s house where I’ll be visiting, and it appears to show there is 5G in rural Texas. I don’t think so. So I tried it at my house, and it says I have strong 5G. I have one bar..Version: 2021.2
